Awww, thank you for this! You're so kind, Hoots. 💖 Hmm pretty open-ended, I'll see if I can think of a couple general ones and a couple specific ones.

For having such short life spans, the short-lived peoples on the surface (namely humans, but they're not alone) spend SO much of it just fucking around and accomplishing pretty much nothing - they're not even that good at fucking around. Many seem to end their days with regrets on their death beds and maybe they'd think otherwise if they were not so... that way.

Along those lines: Shit or get off the pot. Seriously. Do something - anything - or get out of the way and let those of us who know what we're doing take the lead. Taking decisive action is preferable to inaction.

I will give some of those shorter-lived folk credit though: Many of them find value and loyalty in family in a way I hadn't seen growing up. I wouldn't consider time spent with your family time wasted and I've seen this opinion shared all too often.

Trelasarra Zuind doesn't know what she's doing and I'm still not sure why anybody listens to her. There. I said it.

Also along those lines: Absolutely wasted potential among the worshipers of Eilistraee swarming Waterdeep that serve no purpose. The Church of Eilistraee fails them - those people will run into trouble and upheaval without a purpose. Being a majority of drow, it's a matter of time before Waterdeep finds them a nuisance.

I imagine Ephemer’s conspiracies were decently wide spread (considering how easily he gave them out to Player lol) and I think it’d be funny if Brain heard them but didn’t know they came from Ephemer until they’re talking one day

Since the way into the Clocktower is kind of a maze, I think it’d be funny if the NULs spent like a whole day trying to get in with Ephemer, the only one to have successfully broken in, in the lead

You know how Ven’s Break Time is just him spinning like a heccin’ top? I like to imagine that he can do that because he had too much free time as a child and that’s means lots of time to practice lol

In the novels Ephemer and Skuld are in two different Unions. Instead of Ephemer having switched after leaving Skuld’s party, I like to think that Ephemer joining her party was some kind of ‘protest’ of sorts about how party’s shouldn’t be Union exclusive

Speaking of Unions, Ephemer’s from Unicornus, Skuld is from Anguis, Brain was in Leopardus then switched to Vulples, Ven is from Leopardus, and Lauriam is from Ursus

And that’s all the UX specific ones I can think of off the top of my head right now (RIP Lauriam, I guess lol)

Dear MagISoWo,

I'm a werebear who lives with my (found family) sister and brother. My sister is a vampire and my brother is a werewolf. Lately I've been feeling a bit lonely, as they are often very busy and it's been difficult to make time to spend with eachother like we planned before moving in together. I've considered going out in search of new friends, but I'm not entirely sure where to start, as along with the fact of --to put it bluntly-- me being socially inept, I was hoping to find other were-bears to talk with considering neither of my parents were and I don't think I've known any others besides myself. Im sure there are support groups that could be provided, however I think that method may feel a bit unnatural when forming connections, though if you feel these groups are the best route to take, any resources would be gladly appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out, we're glad to hear from you! You definitely don't have to join a support group to meet new people, there are many more casual social events in our community too. We do not know of any that are geared towards werebears specifically, but the shifter community is very vibrant!

Many bars and clubs host a Supernatural Saturday, so that might be a good start if that's your scene. But there are also walks, picknicks, book clubs, and all kinds of other events organised by members of the community specifically to meet like-minded people. We keep a calendar on our website of social events specifically suited for members of particular groups.

There is also Fangs, Fur and Feathers, a support group turned social club with members of all kinds. A lot of their members are shapeshifters and even if their activities aren't your style, they can certainly help you find gathering spaces that are!

3) was there any specific point / any specific moment that suddenly made this character your Blorbo, or did you slowly grow to love them more and more until they became a Blorbo to you?

so. i saw seth in the background of a video essay about roman reigns, and i thought he was a guy that looked interesting. turns out he was very intersting, but that probably would've been a month long hyperfixation if i had not read see your world in traces from @puppiedogs, which did in fact irreparably change my brain chemistry. it is just, augh. it's so wonderfully written. the characterization is so gorgeous. changed my life a little bit i fear. and now i'm here!

so yeah! it was pretty instantaneous 😭 and now i'm in the seth glue trap forever.

4) what’s the thing you love the most about your Blorbo?

as a wrestler: i love that he has told a very consistent story over his career. i love that he never phones anything in, even for the work i don't like from him, he always gives it 100%. i love the way he bumps for everything like a ragdoll. also the insane puppy energy <3. the way he looks at every wrestler like he wants them to fuck him to pieces.

as a character: ohhh GOD that is hard. there is so many little things/themes i could pick out from his career. but if i had to consolidate that into a thesis about seth's character:

in a nutshell, his young, naive ambition transformed into a hollow, aching void of identity that he can never satisfy, no matter what he tries. hunter threw him away, dean left anyway, the crowds turned on him, saving cody didn't save him. seth fundamentally doesn't know how he is, and so much of his story is defined by how he deals/refuses to deal with that. this is the lens i use for most of my analysis of seth.

5) what’s the thing you dislike the most about your Blorbo?

oh that is also hard. probably the corporate bootlicking. lmao.

I’m not sure if we’re allowed to ask ooc stuff. If so, what made you choose the last names you did for the Union Leaders?

You are, if you’re curious about some meta stuff (as long as it’s not a spoiler). Any excuse to talk about this AU lol

So most of the last names are only semi deliberate. Like, I said in the tags of the post that I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep them, and that was because I was sick and tired of trying to find perfect names for them so I settled.

Brain and Skuld were the ones I wasn’t sure about.

I landed on Marshall for Brain because it means ‘horse servant’ or something along those lines, and I was like “hahahahah horse”. I could pretend it’s something deeper like him being a servant of the people and practically working himself to death (work like a horse is a saying, right?) or whatever but that wasn’t what I was thinking when I chose it lol

I want you to know though, that I was trying to find a list of common last names in 1920s Texas, but just could not find one. No matter what I looked up, nothing.

For Skuld I definitely had more of a direction than with Brain. I wanted it to be Nordic… and, uh, that was it… you would not believe how much easier it was to find options though. By the time I got to Skuld, I will say, I was a bit exhausted from looking for Brain’s last name, so when I was looking through a list (which didn’t have the meanings next to them) I was kinda just clicking on ones I though looked interesting. The first one that semi-fit was Westergaard. And so I went with it.

It means West Farm and Daybreak Town in this AU is in Oregon (which is something I’m not sure will come up in any way other than my research, so fun fact lol), which is on the west coast, and Daybreak Town is kinda a farm??? Also when I read it, I read the end like “guard”, and felt that fit. Like I said loose.

Someone pointed out it’s the same last name that Hans has in Frozen. I had no idea when I used it. It’s just a coincidence… though I do headcannon Skuld as being from Arendelle in actual canon KH maybe they’re very incredibly distantly related lol

Ventus doesn’t get a last name because he doesn’t remember.

Lauriam Belrose is just me robbing @/Rosie-Kairi and pretending it’s a reference (/j).

Why I like them/why I don’t He Funny. We didn't get to see a lot of him, but I like him. The "I am socially awkward." line is iconic. I like thinking about what his dynamic with Spectre would be. My favourite interpretation is Earth thinking Spectre can do what he wants any time. It is very funny.

What I like about their appearance I like how blocky he is! Lil square head and broad shoulders that give him the silhouette of a uniform.

Do I prefer their dub names or original names? No change soooo

We all know it, the scene where SOL dissects him. It's a painful scene that is really well done, and does great work in ramping up the stakes and showing what a threat SOL can be when they've been so much of a background threat so far.

this is tricky cuz tbh i dont watch a ton of tv and have watched very few of 2024's tv releases, but if i can count rewatches then i rewatched twin peaks in the summer/fall and the final episode fucking HAUNTS me.

9. best month for you this year?

also tricky because a LOT has happened for me this year! recency bias makes me want to say december because i had a great time for my birthday + have had a bunch of things going on, this month has felt like it was a year long lol. i did a lot of socializing in august too which was nice

10-- The way Sidney handles his mental health is He Doesn't. That motherfucker bottles up every emotion he's ever felt, good or bad, and he shoves it in a closet so he doesn't have to think about it. The most self-care he ever does is social drinking and the occasional sobbing breakdown. He's very very slowly getting a little bit better about it though.

13-- Hm,, that's a real good question, because Sidney is a Very all-or-nothing person. If he dislikes you, you're Enemy Number One, and if he feels any other way then you're anywhere from "potential threat" to "I'd trust you with my life more than I'd trust myself." If I had to go just by the measure of "they've got lasting conflict, but they don't Outright Hate Each Other," I'd say the closest thing to a "rival" Sidney has is @spinchs-field's guy Ezekiel. It started with Ezekiel nearly killing Sidney and crippling his hand years ago, but after some time and a death and some concussive character development, they're in a bit more of a stable place, though there's obviously still some twinges of hostility.
