recently i’ve been watching isekai’s so…imagine. reader getting isekai-d into the one piece world!!! (more specifically, interactions with the cross guild!!!)

Getting Isekai'd Into Cross Guild!

The wonderful Truck-kun granted your wish of getting isekai’d by sending you straight to the One Piece world! How wonderful! 

Except, you quite literally fell on top of Buggy just as he was trying to argue his case to Crocodile and Mihawk. 

Now, they have no clue what the hell just happened but Mihawk already agrees with whatever that just was. 

Buggy is about to scream over the fact you just fell on top of him and Crocodile is wondering how you managed to get here. 

Crocodile assumes a Devil Fruit, Mihawk assumes you snuck in, and Buggy assumes you’re the devil. 

It takes a moment for things to settle down as they demand you tell them what you’re doing here. You explain that well… uh… you’re not really from here. 

Crocodile almost plans to kill you right away because he doesn’t have time for stupidity like that, but you show whatever you have on hand to prove otherwise. 

They’re all immediately entranced by your phone, but they have something they’re also interested in too. 

Crocodile: Your credit cards and money. When you explain how a credit/debit card functions he’s amazed. Tempted to start a bank and overhaul the current financial system. Also loves the excel spreadsheets. The fact this “machine” will calculate all of this for you and put it in a neat list… well… mark him down as interested. 

Buggy: The shiny games on your phone that are colorful and fun. The fact he can “Google” anything and look up new material. 

Mihawk: EReaders and, this will sound hilarious, but text messaging. He doesn’t care to talk, but he thinks that sending texts would be so much more effective and efficient than having to haul himself around the sea or, god forbid, answer a phone call. 

Okay so you did manage to prove you’re not from this world (or that perhaps you were an alien freak but that’s okay) and Crocodile and Mihawk are pretty much entertained. That’s it. You can go. Bother someone else. 

Buggy however, holds you close and pouts. “Can we keep them? Can we keep them pleeeeeeeease???” He begs as if you’re a little puppy. 

Crocodile is against this but Mihawk shrugs and agrees. Whatever. This could be interesting. 

Buggy still doesn’t understand you’re not some circus animal and rambles about what he should have you wear and perform for his show while Crocodile cuts him off. 

Frankly, if you’re telling the truth and have nowhere else to go, you gotta earn your keep. Crocodile just makes a new position for you that shouldn’t be too hard after you said you have 0 combat skills or training. 

You’re basically just their assistant and do menial work that no one else really wants to do. For now at least. 

Buggy is actually… kinda happy you’re so nice to him? He’s used to either worship from his crewmates or abuse from Mihawk and Crocodile, so you quickly become his new favorite person. He’s pretty shocked you’re as nice as you are considering how crappy this situation is, but he’s grateful. Softens up to you right away and loves having your attention. 

Buggy likes to do silly tricks to make you laugh whenever he can, mostly as a way to be the “flashiest” guy in your eyes. He really doesn’t like when others try to take you or away or interrupt his time with you, since he’s a brat and finds you entertaining. 

Crocodile and Mihawk are tougher nuts to crack. Neither of them trust people, but they find you interesting, even though you are incredibly weak compared to others. 

Crocodile always tries to see what you may/may not know about him since you made a few offhand comments that were a bit too… knowledgeable… so he often tries to get you to slip up more or confess to something. He hopes to see if you know something useful that can be used (but also deep down is afraid you know too much). 

Mihawk on the other hand finds you amusing. Plenty of things are similar to your world, but it’s quite clear you’re not used to many aspects of this one. He forms a habit of just watching you or actively messing with you to see your reaction. It’s a bit funny to him, admittedly. 

Of the two, Mihawk is the first to somewhat let his guard down and be a bit protective of you. He figures even if you were hypothetically “dangerous”, he could easily kill you so what does he care? You do your job, you’re entertaining, and you don’t give him a headache. 

Crocodile only lets up when you “prove” time and time again that you are reliable and not trying to go after them or sabotage them. He does think it’s a bit weird you’re eager to help them, considering what they do and what you know, but hey, who is he to complain? 

To sum it up: Crocodile cares the most about you being isekai’d, Buggy cares the least (except when it comes to his perception. He wonders if he’s also got a following there).

Buggy likes showing off his new tricks or discussing silly hypotheticals with you. 

Crocodile likes when your eyes grow wide whenever he drops an expensive item on your desk as a token of his appreciation to you. 

Mihawk likes when you talk him to normally and share deep discussions with him. 

It is a bit strange that there’s some “normal” person with these three villains, but you’ve become important to them. You’re unique and special, practically one of a kind in this zany world. They show their feelings towards you in different ways, but the way they’ve grown attached to you and try to protect you show that you’re valued in their life.

We're gonna say that reader and König are in an established relationship of sorts. There's a bit of dub-con in the whole thing as reader was stalked and manipulated into it

König is willing to be lenient with you in the beginning of the relationship as he understands you're not used to giving up sp much control.

He believes that you're scared and doesn't want you to be terrified of him so in the beginning he deals with the bratting with time outs. He'll put you in the spare bedroom which only has a bare mattress on the floor and a blanket.

Any refusal to eat, even if its just something on your plate that you don't like will result in him force feeding you. He has to care for his mate.

After a few weeks of this König gets frustrated and that's when he gets mean. Spankings are now a daily occurrence and by the end of the day they're accompanied by time outs.

Remember that tentacle dildo? He's not above a little public humiliation, he will make you walk around with it in.

Speaking of tentacles, he loves shifting into his half and half form and using his own tentacles to restrain you.

Illusions have always been your specialty, but maybe not this specific one. 

Lou-Ellen has asked you to try and conjure an illusion of a house. She says it’s to practice holding an illusion, but you think it’s because she misses her father.

Your eyes are screwed shut, your hands twitching as you put the finishing touches on the living room. You’ve tried to make the place look a cozy chaotic mess, but doing that is not easy when your boyfriend keeps asking ridiculous questions.

“Babe, would I look good with blonde hair?” Leo asks, twisting again in your lap. 

The vision of Leo as a blonde pops in your head, effectively ruining any sense of control you had on the illusion.

The fake house cracks and shatters like glass, and when you open your eyes and peer down at Leo, he’s got a grin on his face.

“Mi vida!” he cheers, his hands reaching up to pinch your cheeks. “You’ve come back to me!”

“Leo,” you say patiently, “I need to practice.”

“Okay, but you didn’t answer the question.”

LoveSick!Athlete can really mold and mend well with most personalities and darlings, this is due to his manipulative personality. A little off-topic, but he really has a hard time understanding who he is because he's always pretending to be what others deem "acceptable". This causes him to have a multitude of identity crises, but when his darling, you, comes into the picture, it makes it easier for him to find himself. He feels like he's the real him whenever he's with you. You just feel so natural, he feels natural, too. It's just right.

And for that reason, I think LoveSick!Athlete would go really well with a childhood!reader, seeing as she's been with him since they were young. And, I'm not too sure if you've read my Yan!Alphabet for him, but I mention LoveSick!Athlete's childhood; let's just say it wasn't the best situation for a kid.

LoveSick!Athlete would feel a special bond with his darling now, seeing as they've been together threw thick and thin. He's trama bounded to you, and you to him. We'll run off the assumption that reader has also had a bad childhood, whether it be an absent parent, abusive sibling/family member/or parent, whatever it is allows you to feel a connection to LoveSick!Athlete, seeing as you have a mutual situation. You both have something to bond over, something that locks you together.

He has a bad home environment, you have a bad home environment. He doesn't feel at home, so you become his home, and he to you.

And I like to run on the assumption that reader is all talk, no bite. And if you've read any of my writing where the reader talks, you'll see that I prefer to write reader as more "real" (to me anyway) because I'm personally not the hugest fan of the "helpless" reader. I like to write a darling who has a mouth, someone who's bratty (but that's 'cause I'm a brat lol).

Anyway, I'm getting off-topic, back to LoveSick!Athlete.

To your idea about a snarky reader, I totally agree. Honestly, LoveSick!Athlete would eat that shit up, no joke. He would love it, as he enjoys the back-and-forth between you two. He loves to press your buttons, wanting to see what sarcastic reply you have ready for him.

The thing is, he knows your just talking shit, never willing to actually do anything. You just run your mouth, and he lets you, but whenever you step outta line, sometimes, he's gotta put you back. Though, you'll never think of it like that. No, no, he's too sweet for that. He's gotta keep that golden retriever vibe going, y'know?

He just swat you on the ass, telling you that you got such a dirty mouth, mamas? I thought you were my little princess, no? Girls with a face like yours shouldn't be speakin' that like-

He'll just move on, as if he didn't just grope your butt, nope, not at all. And you'll be standing there awestruck, face red, and biting your tongue as you try to not overheat in embarrassment!!

It never ceases to entertain him, watching your face widen with surprise whenever he refers to you as his girl, his cute little girlfriend. The way your face heats up when he wraps his strong arm around your waist, putting his cap on your head (a silent sign of possession over you, trying to get the guy in the back to keep his eyes to himself, but you don't need to know that ;)).

In your little monologue, you go over some cheerleader girl (named Cindy??). Though I would agree that chicks (and some dudes) practically flock around LoveSick!Athlete, I would say that he doesn't even pay them any mind, not even entertaining the thought. Don't get me wrong, he'll talk to them, but make it painstakingly clear that he's only got one girl on his mind, you.

Most of the time, the girl will just find it endearing, slapping his shoulder, and telling him that he'd make a great husband or some shit like that. Of course, the chicks joking, making some nice comments to leave the, now awkward, conversation, but LoveSick!Athlete will take it to heart. Now, he's imagining a pretty ring on your finger, something he paid for, he got you. Because he'd be such a good provider for you, don't you know?

Another thought, 'cause I'm on a role, but I'm not sure if I've directly said this or not, but LoveSick!Athlete is a hockey player. I've tried putting strickly hockey photos on all my posts (you should see my Pinterest feed, it's filled with hot guys lolol).

Hockey is an aggressive sport, I would know. I used to ice skate every day for an hour or two. And, trust me, I got to see a lot of hot guys, though I was always too nervous to say anything, that's beside the point.

I can imagine that reader would be the same, intimidated by these testastrone-filled, young men who just wanna get all sweaty and gross. And I prefer to think that reader also doesn't know how to skate, much to LoveSick!Athlete's enjoyment.

Just to torture you, he'll take you to his ice rink, partly wanting to show you off, and also wanting you to rely on him to move around. He won't even let you hold onto the side, nope, all you got is him, babes.

And anyone who's been to a rink before knows that if you're not on the wall, or smack in the middle of the rink, you're in traffic, especially if it's busy. And this means that you gotta go fast, keeping pace with everyone else. And there's always a handful of assholes (usually hockey players) who will purposefully do a hockey stop, flinging a shit tone of ice at newbies.

I imagine that this shit would happen all the time and LoveSick!Athete is enjoying it sm. He gets a rush every time you flinch, clinging onto him tighter, especially when the really fast skaters zoom by you, scaring the crap outta you.

And he won't let you go at your own pace, forcing you to follow his lead. This means you're going far too fast for comfort, leaning on him for support. You're arms wrapped around his bicep, which isn't recommended btw. Your cheek pressed against his arm, holding on for dear life.

You'll snap at him, telling him to shut up and stop enjoying this, you dork. I'm only clinging to 'cause I gotta!

And he'll just take it, giving you a lopsided smirk.

Your breath hitched as you felt her soft wet lips on your neck. 

“Natty, stop. You are going to leave a hickey,” you tried to sound annoyed but clearly you were enjoying the situation. 

“Yeah, that’s what I’m trying to do,” you heard her mumble against your skin. 

“Nat, they are going to find out if you keep on marking me,” you chuckled. 

“I don’t care, detka. Let them know who you belong to,” you could hear the grin on her face. 

“You are the worst,” you rolled your eyes. 

“Yeah, but you love me.”

Your head fell back in annoyance, you had been throwing punches at the punching bag for the last hour. Your arms were sore, your feet hurt from standing and you felt like you could just die any second now. 

“Hey, what’s that on your neck?” you heard Bucky said next to Steve.

Steve and Bucky looked at each other. Sure, Steve may seem innocent and cute but he knew better, and that was no mosquito bite. Bucky could tell that it was a hickey even from a mile away. Still, they played along.

“Yeah, sure,” Steve shrugged it off.

“Come on, again,” Bucky said, nodding to the punching bag. Smile creeping on his face as knew he would use this new information later on.

“So, you two have been spending a lot of time together recently…” Tony said, entering the kitchen. There was something about his tone that sent a shiver up your spine. He was up to something. 

Tony walked in while you and Peter were having an afternoon snack, you were helping him out with his homework. Well, you weren’t actually helping him, you were telling him everything about your relationship with Natasha while he was trying to do his homework. He was the only one who knew that the two of you were dating and was the only person who didn’t mind hearing you rambling nonstop about your badass girlfriend.

“Yeah, we have been training together, what about it?” 

“Nothing at all, Barnes said something and I was just curious,” he said nonchalantly.

“What did he say?” Peter chimed in, finally looking away from his books. 

He chuckled, clearly enjoying the situation, “Well, he said that the thing on your neck isn’t a mosquito bite, more like a spider bite,” he winked at the two of you. 

You and Peter shared a look and a second later the two of you were laughing. 

“You think he gave me the ‘spider bite’,” you said in between laughs. 

“Y/n, they think we are dating,” Peter put a hand over his belly trying to hold back his laughter. 

“Wait, you didn’t give her that hickey?” Tony asked seriously. 

“No, Mr. Stak, what makes you think that?” the boy next to you said once he was done laughing. 

“I just thought… Barnes said… But Steve thought,” Tony couldn’t say a word, confusion was written all over his face. 

Just when he was about to say a coherent sentence another person walked in the kitchen. 

“Hey, detka,” Natasha said and pecked your lips. 

“Wait what?!” Tony screamed. 

Soon enough more people found their way into the kitchen because of Tony. 

“What’s going on?” you heard Bucky said. 

“Is everyone okay?” Steve stepped in, always the gentleman.

“Nat’s the spider,” Tony simply answered. 

“What?” the two of them asked in unisom. 

“Y/n’s spider?” Clint chimed in. 

“Yes. All this time I thought it was Parker,” Tony said in annoyance. 

“I don’t understand why this is a big deal…” you tried to say but someone cut you off.

“Pay up, losers,” Clint cheered. 

“What?” you and Nat complained at the same time. 

“They had a bet. This is actually really funny,” Peter said, trying to hold back from laughing so hard.

so after everything you had said, I had a strange dream weirdly enough of the scenario and hcs you came up with (I like to read fics and hcs before I sleep, including urs <3) and basically, I was thinking that yes:

• ashley, despite not liking [reader] and kind of terrorising her when andrew became obsessed with her, still pretty much assists in kidnapping and bringing her everywhere despite her protests and horror when she witnesses the grave siblings murder and sacrifice people.

• along the way however, ashley has a bit of .. how shall I put it, tsundere feelings for [reader] <3 falling for her and convincing andrew to have a threesome rape with her eventually

• when [reader] got pregnant (before ashley fell for her) ashley ofc wasn’t too happy about it but also, didn’t allow reader to escape from them with andrew’s baby or to scream for help, in fact, she threatens her that if she tries calling for help or running away, she’ll mutilate her arms and legs and cut her tongue out </3 anything to defend her brother

• ok this is probs a bit dark so feel free to skip this one (my own lactation kink!) but can u imagine while [reader] is pregnant, andrew and ashley notice that [readers] breasts are larger than normal .. and that she is leaking through her shirt … and well they *are* a bit thirsty and could use something sweet … so … they caught [reader] unaware and pretty much forces her shirt up before latching their mouths onto her nipples </3 (ahh the symbolism! kind of like healing their inner child by trying out mommy’s milk) despite reader begging and crying for them to stop, they can’t

i can see andrew just cradling [reader] in his lap while they watch TV, holding her in his arms while he rests his cheek on top of her head. so calm and peaceful while [reader] is shaking like a leaf because ashley is glaring fucking daggers at her and andrew isn't doing anything about it (it all reminds me of julia, except andrew actually likes/cares for [reader] more than he did julia). omg ashley threatens to fucking cut off [reader]'s limbs and tongue and andrew comforts her, petting her hair as he whispers "it's okay, ashley's just trying to scare you. she's just a little jealous. if you keep being good we won't have to resort to that, will we?"

i love sucking on tiddies (i have never done so) so seeing andrew and ashley latch on to [reader]'s leaking nipples is such a mood. it'd be so funny if they sort of fought or pushed each other out of the way so they can drink more and [reader]'s underneath them gently trying to break it up, "hey, hey... one at a time! there's enough for both of you..." i honestly feel bad for [reader] though, i hope they do nice things for her since they rape her so much. ooh my god this took me so long to get out we're almost a week into the new years 😭😭😭. but when I saw this ask I actually screamed thank u sm nonnie. being able to ramble nonsense abt ven is always so fun. these aren't a lot whatsoever but these are some main things I think about with venti. all are random but somewhat related?

he often does performances, whether that be at a tavern/bar or an open mic that are either 'dedicated' to you or a 'special somebody'. even if he doesn't directly say your name, he makes it so obvious that it's about you, his eyes glued onto you the entirety of his show. it's supposed to be a sweet gesture, and it would be, if it wasn't so clearly a way for him to claim you as his, which is only worsened by the fact that you're not. no one would ever believe otherwise though.

in the same vain, if you start romantically seeing someone, or even slightly have interest in anyone, he instantly becomes intensely clingy. you two have barely hung out recently, you two should hang out more! he's been dying to see this live show with you, and there's a new cafe that just opened up, and there's this beautiful meadow nearby that's perfect for a picnic, he pulls out all the works to try to convince you to spend more time with him than anybody else. and trust, if you do spend time with someone else, you'll never hear the end of it. he'll constantly sulk or make you feel insanely guilty, saying anything and everything to make you feel awful.

I think the main thing that would differentiate canon!venti and modern au!venti are their literal powers. given that modern!venti doesn't have a borderline fear-tactic to hold over your head, he instead resorts to manipulating you, especially in ways similar to the headcanon above.

venti is insanely emotionally intelligent. he knows every little thing about you, how your mind ticks and what really pulls at your heart strings. he can't help but use this to his favor. anytime an 'issue' arises between you too, he's quick to put on an award-winning act. of course, if it was what'd he call a genuine problem or a mistake on his behalf, he's quick to apologize and do everything in his power to make amends. but if you're upset about something akin to his clinginess and possessiveness... oh baby, you're getting guilt-tripped.

it doesn't really matter if you're a person who's hard to manipulate or not. venti can break a will. at some point you just wear down and give up.

canon!venti really doesn't like to hold his powers against you (he really loves the thought of you choosing to be with him, even if that choice is... coerced), but if push comes to shove, he does. he would never would never actually use them, but stories about how he acted and what he did back during those days of war are certainly enough to keep you docile. to be fair, he doesn't necessarily need to use them at all. you're far less likely to go against him if you know just what he's capable of. deep down he knows he'd never do anything, but he's so unpredictable that the fear that he could is enough.

I think venti would also definitely use the fact that he's the god of freedom against you, especially as a sort of mind trick. he states that he's the god of freedom, he would never take away your freewill, that goes against everything he stands for! so, the fact that you're with him is clearly your own choice, something of your own doing, and if you truly wanted to, you could've left him at any time you wanted to!

somewhat similarly, I think venti would have a 'thing' for getting you to say certain things. he'll do things like pin you down and say (with a big, toothy smile plastered on his face) that he won't let you out until you admit that you love him, admit that you're his and all his, admit that you would never, ever leave him. he tells you to do it in a lighthearted manner through giggles and grins, but you know that he's serious about never letting you out from underneath his grasp.

also, another few headcanons that doesn't really fit into anything else:

I think another difference between modern au!venti and canon!venti is that modern au!venti is a lot more of a creep. as the god of freedom, canon!venti would, of course, stick to atleast some of his morals and godly obligations. being a yandere doesn't entirely diminish his values, even if he does stretch the limitations of them often. but modern venti is not tied to those morals, so he has no reason to really obide by them. he therefore sees no issue with doing things like going through your room or your items, looking through any notes or journals or diaries you have, laying on your bed or pocketing an item of yours or two.

despite gods likely having insane regenerative powers, I can see venti choosing to keep any and all scars that would've developed throughout his life of serving out duties as a god. they're all so especially jarring because of just how gentle and harmless venti looks in comparison. it serves both as a reminder of his past and all he's been through (something that you would definitely atleast sympathize with) and all he's done, a testament as to how looks can be deceiving and that you should certainly never underestimate him.

now onto your question! that's some good food for thought uhhhh i can try to estimate?? its been a while but i shld have some rough ideas abt each that i can share! the time frame each comic/panel takes is highly dependent on WHAT kind of comic it is. i hv two kinds of comics I usually do: 1) full-length, and 2) goofy/4koma.

i have a few full-length comics laying about in my archive, but my most recent one/best example is Ghosts which was around uh.... 7 pages excluding the bonus panels! in terms of the process, i usually divide it into 5 stages:

Drafting: this is either the fastest stage OR the slowest depending entirely whether i know what im doing LMAO,, if i have a set idea for what i want to happen, i might get drafts done in a few hours, but if i flounder, it can take a few days 🤔

Lineart: relatively simple enough once i hv the draft down, so id say anything ranging from an hour to half a day if theres nothing else going on irl

Block colouring (main actors): there are DEFINITELY easier and more professional ways to do this with mass-selection and the lasso fill/bucket tool, but idk how to do that on SAI (my art program) so i colour everything by hand HAHA which makes the process longer.... half a day to a day?

Shading: THE WORST!!! definintely my least favourite bc i find it tedious due to all the details/prettification of elves that i am legally obliged to pour into this stage 😭😭 as a result, it can take days!!!

Background + Lighting + Final Rendering: similar to the previous stage haha it just depends on how much effort i wanna put into the final product looking nice. roughly a few days? it kind of meshes with stage 4 anyways haha

just for fun, i hope this process gif for page 6 can illustrate that 👇

these are just rough estimates, bc all in all, the time it takes so finish a page is really dependent on how free I am hahaha. Also, I usually work on full-length comics like Ghost which have more than one page all at once, which means I drafted all 7 pages at once, then did the lineart for all 7 pages at once, coloured at once, shaded rendered bla bla bla 😚 iirc, i think it took me 11 days in total to finish Ghosts before the end of June last year!

For goofy/4-koma, its usually just one page with less detailed/more cartoonish/chibi character styles so it takes a day or two days at most! again, it all boils down to how free i am hehe

YEAH SORRY THIS ENDED UP BEING AN INFO DUMP but thank you so much again for asking and letting me ramble! <3 i ended up having a lot of fun looking back on my drafts n thinking back on my processes.... theres defininitely room for improvement, but thats another worry for another day heheh 😎

Uh I wanted to ask for a DBF!Farmer!Rick x reader fic. Where reader is barely nineteen,— most of this next part doesn't really hold any significance to the plot, but it would be nice to read— long, jet back hair, super dark brown eyes, cinnamon skin, reader also religiously wears sundresses as well as always having a cherry lollipop/popsicle in her mouth. And since her farm doesn't have horses, she decides to ask Rick for horse riding lessons! I don't want you'll do with this but god speed!

it was a busy saturday morning, and your father’s farm was alive with people travelling from all over for your father’s sale yard for the year. you were up early ( as per usual ), in your favourite sundress. you had a cherry lollipop in hand as you walked through the yard, looking for the older male you had fancied since you were old enough to understand what crushes were.

“hey, rick!” you called out once you spotted the attractive man, your voice slightly muffled by the cherry lollipop in your mouth. “can i talk to you for a minute?”

rick grimes, your dad’s best friend from high school, turned around to look at you, his forearms leaning against a fence as he watched the cattle being rounded up from the field, ready to be auctioned off. “mornin’, darlin’,” he nodded at you, his words making your heart flutter. he turned around to face you, hands moving to rest on his hips. “what can i do for ya?”

you took a deep breath, trying to steady the nervous excitement. “i was wondering if you could give me some horse riding lessons. i’ve always wanted to learn, but we don’t have any horses on our farm.”

rick’s eyes sparkled with interest, eyeing the way your sundress stopped mid thigh. “well, i’d be more than happy to help with that. the horses we have are gentle, and i’m sure they’d love to have you.”

a surge of relief and excitement washed over you. “really? that would be wonderful! I’ve only ever seen them from the fence,” you sighed, pulling the lollipop from your mouth.

“how about this afternoon? you come on over and i’ll show you the ropes.” he raised his eyebrow, his gaze lingered on you for a moment longer. “and who knows, maybe i’ll learn a thing or to on how you ride.” he smirked, making your heart jump.

you nodded quickly. “that would be amazing, thank you. i really appreciate it.” you grinned, lollipop going back into your mouth as you turned around, quickly making your way back to the house.

a few hours later, you made the trip to rick’s farm, eager. you were stood next to comet, a beautiful chestnut mare. rick had helped you through the basics of grooming and saddling, and now he was standing besides you, hand on your lower back as he explained the basics of mounting a horse.

“alright, ready to jump on?” he asked, moving to grab the rein as he looked at you. you nodded your head, moving to put your foot through the stirrup like rick had explained, pulling yourself onto the horse. you could feel rick’s free hand on the back of your thigh, steadying you.

once you were comfortably sat in the saddle, you looked down at him, his lips holding an encouraging smile. “look at you, you’re a natural already.” he chuckled, patting your thigh as he moved towards the front of comet, ready to lead her.

“alright, let’s do this.” you grinned down at him, feeling comfortable. rick nodded, clicking his tongue to get comet moving slowly and steadily.

“just relax and let comet guide you, okay? i’ve got you, but she’s a good horse. carl first learnt to ride on this old girl.” he hummed, smiling at you. “if you need anything, just let me know.”

rick walked alongside comet, offering pointers and encouragement. his gaze was appreciative, and you could feel the warmth of his eyes as he looked at you. “you’re doing great, darlin’,” he said, a playful grin on his face. “you know, i might start thinking about taking lessons from you if you keep this up.”

you laughed, a blush on your cheeks at the warmth of his words. “i’m glad you think so. i’ve always admired how you handle the horses. you make it look so easy.”

rick’s smile widened. “well, I’ve got to say, seeing you out here in that dress, it’s a pretty nice change of pace. makes me wish every day was a lesson with you.”

the flirtatious remark made your heart skip a beat. you tried to focus on guiding comet, but your thoughts kept drifting back to rick’s teasing comments. as you trotted around the paddock, the sun warm on your back, you caught glimpses of rick watching you with a twinkle in his eye.

by the end of the lesson, you were glowing with pride. rick patted comet affectionately, bringing her to a stop. he turned to you, his eyes soft and warm. “you’ve done real well today. keep practicing, and you might just become the best rider around here.”

you looked down at him, your heart full of joy. “thank you, rick. this has been amazing.”

rick tipped his hat with a grin, his eyes meeting yours in a way that made your stomach flutter. “anytime. i’m always here if you want more lessons. and who knows, maybe next time we’ll make it a little more... interesting.”

you blushed once again at his words, moving to get off comet, rick’s hands coming to your hips to help you down, the warmth of his hands on your skin made your stomach fill with butterflies.

once you had left the paddock with rick, the older male walking you back to your car, you offered him a smile before leaning in to press a kiss to his cheek. you noticed his cheeks turn a light shade of pink as he opened your car door for you, smiling down at you as you slipped into your car.

“i’ll see you later, darlin’. i look forward to our little lessons.” he chuckled, closing the door for you, waving as you drove away. you couldn’t help but think of him on your drive home, excited for your future lessons together.

you sat across from tom in the booth as he sipped on his beer, a smile on his face as he listened to you talk about work. it was nice for a change to hear about something that wasn't in the entertainment world. he loved hearing how passionate you get about things your working on for your company and he just loved everything about your work ethic.

he could listen to you talk for hours. hell, years, even.

he couldn't help it. you just looked so pretty in your dress that complimented your eye color and you were radiating as you talked more about the things going on with work. he loved that you loved what you did for a living. loving your job was an important part to living a happy life.

another part for living a happy life, to him, was making sure you were in it.

"sorry, am i talking too much?" you had caught onto the fact that he was quiet, other than the 'mhm' and 'yeah's he said every once in a while. truth be told, it wasn't because you were annoying him, no not at all. you could never annoy him. it was because you were so mesmerizing. he literally got lost in your eyes, just like characters in romance books do.

"no, no, you're fine, really," he smiled, grabbing your hands and lacing your fingers together on the table.

your cheeks turned a light shade of pink, suddenly becoming embarrassed, "you sure?"

"totally." he smiled.

and your conversations continued up until he walked you up to your front door. he didn't mean to interrupt you, he really didn't. he just was swooning so hard he swore he was about to start levitating. and it didn't help that you looked beautiful as ever, right here in this moment.

he pressed his lips to yours as you were speaking and you fell quiet. you kissed him back after relaxing a little, his hands pulling you in closer to him by your waist. you wrapped yours around his neck, playing with the curls on the nape of his neck.

"sorry," he mumbled, "couldn't help myself."

you smiled, glancing down at your feet before he tilted your chin back up to meet his eyes, "no, it's okay. you can tell me to shut up like that any time."

he laughed at the joke, smiling before leaning back down to kiss you. you smiled into the kiss, fishing your keys out of your purse. you broke the kiss momentarily, still grinning back up at him.

"wanna come inside?"

"please."

you smiled, giggling as he placed soft kisses on your neck with a smile. he didn't mean it in a sexual way, he just wanted to kiss you all over. he could kiss you all day and still want more.

you squealed, tom picking you up off the ground and pushing the door open once you had gotten it unlocked. you laughed loudly, tom kicking the door closed gently with his foot. he peppered kisses all over your face.

"tommy! put me down!" you were still laughing, wrapping your legs around his waist to make sure you didn't fall.

he smiled, placing you down on the couch as he hovered over you, "as you wish, princess."

Yes, I thought the card could be King Charles in the reading, but that didn't get me any further in deciphering the energy.

My gut feeling for that card is that Meghan had kids to somehow leverage her position after The King dies, but that makes no sense given what we know about Prince William. It could definitely have something to do - and I just got hit by a flash of inspiration. It could be something to do with forcing the King to change things to favour her and her children (which he can't do, but Meghan would refuse to understand that). It could be as far fetched as Meghan thinking that her children could be put in the LoS ahead of Prince William's children, with her and Harry being 'promoted' to heir above Prince William. Yes, it sounds daft when I type it down, but that is resonating with the energy I felt, at least somewhat.

If I have time I will do another reading on that Death card tonight and see if anything comes up, to follow up on this flash of inspiration. Meghan using the kids to leverage herself to a higher position in the BRF makes sense (as she would ignore the law that makes such things impossible). I have two things to say about The Catfish & The Mouse:

This one is probably known though out parts of my moot-dom: I based Frankie's whole personality on seeing gifs and reading other fic writers' takes on him. I didn't watch the movie until the end of July '23. That is how good the work in this site is - gif makers and writers are the foundation for our horny ramblings and I owe them a great deal of kudos and thanks for inspiring me to make him him and love his Mouse.

And this one is not known but will not come as a shock to anyone: I wrote this because I had anonymously sent in asks to other writers asking for a 'Fuller Civilian Frankie', and while those fics were delightful and wonderful and just fuckin great, I wanted something more. I couldn't put my finger on it, but in my conversations with @harryleatherfit (who did a delightful take on my Nonnie ask - Cook Out) and they encouraged me to write my own. So I did and The Catfish & The Mouse was born.

hello! Its the nonnie who was asking about Cg! Jing Yuan.

To anwser your question, Mimi / Snowmoon is Jing Yuan's pet lion! (The white lion on his splash art, that Jing Yuan leans on.) When He initially got Mimi as a cub, he thought it was a grimakin, and did not realize it was a lion. (Alot of Mimi's lore is in texts) In Canon, they may not be around anymore, but alot of people in fics have Mimi still around.

Jing Yuan thought he knew where you were while he was talking to Yanqing, though, admittedly, he was a bit distracted while Yanqing was rambling his ear off. When he glanced behind him to grab his cup, he noticed you and Mimi were no longer behind him snuggling. Jing Yuan put his hand up, as a signal for Yanqing to stop talking. “Dear? Where have you gone? Is this a game of hide and seek?” Jing Yuan soft,y called out, trying to think of what could have possibly caused you to flee.

Yanqing, being Yanqing, and not understanding the situation… started looking around until he came across Jing Yuan's office and attempted to enter without a knock. Mimi growled rather loudly at Yanqing's attempt, causing Yanqing to get into a verbal quarrel with the Lion. Mimi stood guard of the door, knowing you were incredibly overwhelmed.

Luckily, Jing Yuan heard the commotion. He walked slowly and calmly to the door, placing his hand on Yanqing's shoulder. “Yanqing, I’m going to ask you to leave for now.”

“Ugh, but General..! We don’t know where they are and Mimi's being—“ Yanqing is then cut off by Jing Juan clearing his throat. With a huff, the young boy left down the hallway.

“Mimi, it’s alright. Let me in, please,” Jing Yuan asked calmly, hoping to keep Mimi calm. The Lion let up eventually, backing up and letting him in. Jing Yuan had a frown upon his face as he heard the intense sobbing coming from the closet in the closet. He slowly approached it, and opened the door of the closet. “Sweetheart…” Jing Yuan whispered, as he knelt down.

He saw you sobbing into your palms, curled up and sat against the back of the closet. He sighed softly as he placed a hand a-top of your head, gently caressing your hair in hopes of comforting you.

“Dear, please, come here,” Jing Yuan asked gently, as he opened his arms, giving you the choice to come out when you could. You. While still crying, made your way into his arms, sobbing quite a lot. Mimi sat beside Jing Yuan, in concern for you. Jing Yuan hummed one of your favorite lullabies, as he rocked you slowly.

Slowly, but surely… you had stopped crying, your thumb in your mouth for extra comfort.

“Sweetheart… I am sorry I did not notice sooner.” He apologized, he was rather worried for you. If he had known, he would’ve helped far sooner. He kissed your forehead gently, and squeezed you gently to reassure you.

You only gave a soft mumble in response, followed by a little sniffle. Mimi tucked her head under Jing Yuan's arm, to check on your herself.

Jing Yuan stayed with you the rest of the day, making sure nothing like that will happen again… <3
