​"Canon" jb is a famous internet talk show host who goes by Red. He's kinda like if you crossed the flamboyancy and charisma of Ruby Rod with the knack for manipulation of a cult leader. He LIVES for drama and is damn good at instigating it. He Eternal Sunshined his entire identity to truly become his celebrity persona and as such has no idea who he "really" is. He's a black hole of a person.

The premise of his canon universe is that he paid his way to be on a colony ship bound for distant galaxy. Unfortunately, halfway through their 21000 year journey, a series of catastrophic malfunctions occur. 21 crew members are meant to wake from cryosleep to perform emergency maintenance, but the ship's computer malfunctions, causing 21 random people to be mistakenly classified as crew and awoken instead. The 21 passengers are forced to attempt to fix the ship... or die trying.

(Imagine Passengers crossed with Danganronpa, which is what Passengers SHOULD have been but it totally WASTED a good horror premise)

first of all, it has to be said, i was not thinking about the fact that loki's mythological wife's name is sigyn when i named this guy sig, i just did what i did for all of my asgardian OCs and looked through a list of norse names until i spotted one that felt like it fit. also my childhood crush on sig from the jak and daxter games may have had something to do with it shh

ANYWAY. sig is my obligatory "regular asgardian citizen" viewpoint that we don't really get if we're always focusing on thor, loki, val, or heimdall. any of the asgardians are many times stronger than the average human, but he doesn't have magic like thor and loki do, and he doesn't have centuries of training like val does. he DOES have centuries of smithing behind him, so like, he's not a twig, but until ragnarok he'd never really seen any serious battles, and he'd certainly never killed anyone - that marauder he killed with loki's sword was the first. he's gonna get through that with minimal angst though, because asgardians have different perspectives when it comes to killing in battle, and also because he's got his daughter to worry about, so there's bigger fish to fry. like, this man will try to 1-v-1 against the collector if given the opportunity and if his daughter's in danger. asgardians are brave idiots and he is no exception, and also, after ragnarok, runa is literally all he has left

so like, sig is a dad above all else. he's a nurturing kind of person, he's really good at talking to people and kind of coaxing them out of their shells (hence his first interaction with bruce) and he's sort of taken it upon himself to look after runa's friends, since their parents didn't make it through ragnarok. he's not the only person caring for runa's friends, since asgard has sort of by necessity become more of a communal situation where there's a lot of childless parents and parentless children, but he's always keeping an eye out for them (when he's not light-years away being dragged on an adventure to save his daughter from an infinity stone and a bunch of bounty hunters and a superpowerful megalomaniac, anyway)

as far as his relationship with the revengers: he sort of implicitly trusts thor, because that's asgard's golden boy and everyone is sort of in agreement that they'd all be dead if thor hadn't shown up in a blaze of lightning and fought hela off while they escaped. he VERY implicitly trusts heimdall, and honestly no one on that ship doesn't after he kept them all safe during hela's attacks. he's a little starstruck about val but manages to be cool about it, and he loves that there's an honest-to-god valkyrie on the ship with them, because it certainly makes their precarious situation feel a bit safer. bruce, he's immediately bonded with and now considers a friend. and loki... okay so it helps if you know that my headcanon is that all the asgardians knew or at least suspected that it was loki posing as odin that entire time, they just didn't care because there were no wars going on and he wasn't actually doing a bad job as odin, so they just sort of... let him get away with it?

so, you're sig. your planet's been destroyed, you're grieving your wife and your home and the rest of your family, you're trying to keep your daughter safe, but now she's been possessed(?) by an infinity stone and the only person who can probably help her is the guy you'd only heard stories about before, who was impersonating the king for a few years and also might have committed some treason at some point, you don't really know the details. but now he's teleporting you and your daughter across the cosmos, and he's definitely saved you and your daughter more than a few times even if he's being kind of standoffish about it, and also he might be suffering from a little infinity stone possession of his own, but shit, you don't know how any of this works, he's the magic guy, but also it's a little concerning that the guy who's supposed to be helping you with your daughter's infinity stone problem also kind of looks like he's got a foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, and his eyes and his veins keep glowing blue which, i mean, that can't be a good sign, can it?

fast forward way past the events of the revengers to avoid spoilers, but i like to imagine that eventually, the little mini-oneshot i posted on tumblr happens (you'll find it under my "revengers: the show" tag if you haven't already seen it) where runa seeks out loki years later and demands to learn magic because the whole infinity stone situation sparked an interest in it, and she wants to know how to do all that stuff he does, and THAT would be the "meticulously crafted 100K of slow burning build up" that i was referring to earlier, where loki's teaching her magic and sig's, like, VERY reluctantly allowing this to happen. because like, yeah, he and loki are cool now, but he's seen how out-of-control magic can get, he's seen how reckless loki in particular can be, and this is his daughter. loki is on thin ice forever as long as runa's involved.

but yeah, that's sig. and you may have seen me mention this before, but i've fancasted him as dev patel from the beginning. it just feels right, and that's who i'm picturing when i'm writing his scenes :)

I don't have a lot of art for my fma ocs rn but I do have some headshots I've recently done just to visualize them and to try to practice the fmab art style so I'll share those and a brief description of each one if that's ok

First we've got the lady who started it all! Her name is Damaris Lang- she's from Liore and is both Amestrian and Xingese, and studied alkahestry with family in Xing as well as honed the alchemic skills she studied while still living in Amestris. She practices alchemy that allows her to change the chemical makeup of different metals and transmute them into either a weaker or stronger substance. She also wears metal jewelry that she occasionally uses her alchemy to turn into weapons- namely a knife and a set of brass knuckles.

One of Damaris' best friends, this is Sylva Cartwright! He's also from Liore and he's known Damaris since childhood as she used to defend him from neighborhood bullies, and she's kept him at her side ever since. He works at Damaris' dad's tea shop and lives with his step mom while his dad is a Colonel at Fort Briggs.

Yet another friend of Damaris and Sylva, this is Rena! She was born in Liore and grew up with both Damaris and Sylva and has a little sister named Miriam. She and her sister are survivors of the Ishvalan massacre but were separated during it and Rena is searching to find her, despite having no trail to follow and hopes of finding her dwindling. Damaris and Sylva join her in her search and that is one of the primary stories being told with my characters. And fun fact- the coat is meant to be a beat up military coat that Rena stripped the shoulder bars and anything denoting identity or rank off of.

And here is the little sister in question, Miriam! I can't say too much about her since her whereabouts is meant to be a secret in the story, but what's important is that she's safe and she and Rena will eventually reunite. And fun fact! The earrings she has previously belonged to Rena who gave them to her before they got split up during the war.

And last but not least we have Laurel Enfield. He was formerly an officer at Briggs, but was severely injured while on duty and forced to retire from the military. Currently he is a professor that teaches foreign languages at a military academy in Central that I made up which specializes in training officers for the military- a school he'd previously attended. He also knows and was friends with Sylva's dad. He also has a few secrets up his sleeve.

2. Thanks so much for giving me an opportunity to share things about Richie. I’m don’t know the best way to put OC lore out there so these kinds of asks help a lot! More to read below :)c

A fact about Richie is that he tried isolating himself in the Glowing Sea before his long trek out to the Mojave Desert. He had just cut all ties in the Commonwealth and heard the earth-shattering news that Mr. House was still alive. He thought the tough conditions in the Sea might calm him down and set him straight, but it turns out manifesting about the man who doomed you in a twisted hellscape isn't very healthy. His time spent there only turned his heartbroken anger into a full blown revenge quest. Surely killing an old flame would make him feel better...right?

The fact of the matter is, even if he hadn’t passed the point of no return in the Sea itself, it would have happened somewhere else eventually. His steady decline was inevitable because he is just... so hard on himself, refusing to accept any kind of help or prolonged companionship. Under his confident exterior, the guilt and grief is eating him alive, and sadly all this self-destruction leeches out onto his friendships and lovers as well.

The sorrows of a man who needs to feel love to be okay, but snuffs it out before it can grow...

genie if there's one thing i love about your acc is how you write the darlings. i, for one, am not going to be docile and cute after being kidnapped. being snarky and slightly mean is what literally gets me going. i love the quips and the opportunity to say shit back and forth y'know?

like, oh you love me? enough to threaten to hurt my friends and family if i leave? well if you do that i won't like you, i might even consider my feelings for you akin to hatred. oh you want to strip my autonomy and build me into the person you want me to be? well i'm not just going to let you do that so easily, you're going to have to break that resolve more times before i even think about letting myself loving you willingly.

also the despair of finally being broken down, finally giving in, UGH, it's so good. the horror and the build up of the terror finally reaching its breaking point, is beautiful!! i hope this doesn't come across as mean to the last ask, but i really hope you don't stop writing your darlings the way you do because it's so GOOD

i feel like one of the few ways the darling is able to retain or display any semblance of agency they hold is through how they talk to their yan,, and i also agree that it’s so much more fun when they have more to say!!! dynamics can be flipped on their head as the captor is the one who becomes powerless,, bc what do u mean ur using the only leverage (your own affection or attention or even LIFE) have against them?????

it’s so so interesting when a darling is able to recognise and wield that power!! and you’ve also brought to my attention i haven’t really explored that sort of stubborn defiant darling yet. brats, sure, but this is someone else entirely who would rather fucking die than give in. that sort of defiance can come from pride or fear, and i think i wanna try writing more about those sort of stronger nuanced emotions as well and the yummmmyyyyy dialogue that brings with it oh yEAHH

i love fun dialogue!!! it’s my fav part of writing. chances are all fic ideas i’ve ever had for all my oc’s begin as a series of sentences they say to each other so i’m touched to know u enjoy that <3333 :’)))

LITERALLYYY i feel like there needs to be a satisfying buildup for the “stockholm syndrome” device to pay off or it feels like a cop out sometimes?? it’s so much more interesting when a headstrong darling has been whittled down to utter resignation or submission OR a super anxious one has been coaxed out of their shell to be almost arrogant,,, i need my darlings to be like a pendulum the way they swing back and forth 💯💯💯

a shop talk question (belated): when you're thinking about AUs, how grounded in the source material do you want them to be? how do you feel about the differences between the alternate universe and teh original--like, is there a "too far" beyond which it doesn't feel like what you're trying to capture anymore? I have been thinking some about this lately and am interested to hear your thoughts!

so to me personally i like AU that’s still on rails. obvs you can do whatever you want forever (and i will read it 🫵) but my favorite AUs are the ones that hold onto imo the most critical aspect of what the source is: the essence of the character. this needs to carry across into the AU, even though the setting and circumstances are different.

“too far” to me is when the thing that makes the character interesting in the first place isn’t carried into the AU, for example zagreus always needs to be running from himself, escaping the confines of his family, butting heads with his father, etc because that’s who he is, when you insert him into a universe where he isn’t trying to “escape” and expand his narrow existence then who is he? he’s like an oc at that point🧍

basically i love AU because i love putting characters into every situation possible so if the characters aren’t themselves anymore then it’s not interesting to me lol

Valentine’s day wasn’t something Oliver really cared about. When working in the palace, everyday is just another work day. He was appreciated among the rest of the staff, receiving little tokens of appreciation while he continued to work in his lab. Sometimes he’d hear a distant “Happy Valentine’s Day!” from down the hallways, and a face would briefly cross his mind before resuming his work. He had work to do. There has been a small outbreak of sickness in the townships closest to the palace, and Sariel entrusted the task of creating a cure to him. It wasn’t an illness that was fatal by any means, but the people were suffering regardless. 

Jin, on the other hand, couldn’t stop thinking about what he could do to impress the good-natured scientist. Despite the casanova of Rhodolite’s 7 princes, he was at a loss for what he could do to make this day special. Everyday since he started working as the Royal Scientist, Jin would find an excuse to stop by the research labs, letting Oliver ramble on about the newest information and how close he is to finding a cure. He knows it’s been harder recently though. Oliver’s rants have gone from excitement and anticipation to confusion and frustration. This illness appears harder to cure than he previously anticipated. Jin believed in him. No one else in all of Rhodolite could whip up antidotes and cures quite like Oliver, and he wanted him to know that. That’s when the idea hit him.

Oliver banged his fist on the desk, frustration consuming him entirely. This shouldn’t be so hard to solve. He knows he’s cured harder illnesses than this. Why was this one giving him so much trouble? The scientist was so focused that he didn’t hear the door to the labs creek open, the 1st prince walking in and taking a seat on the counter near him. 

“Any new updates, kid?” Jin asked, fully expecting Oliver to vent out his anger. Instead though, Oliver looked over at him, tears of anguish threatening to spill over. 

“I can’t let Rhodolite down. The people need me but I don’t know what to do,” his fists hitting the desk again, his cup of pencils rattling slightly. “I’ve visited with infected patients, taken samples of saliva, blood, and grosser bodily fluids. I’ve spent days doing everything I can in my power to figure out what kills this illness, just to come back with nothing!” The tears finally fell, dotting his cheeks. Jin walked over and crouched down next to him, his hands gently swiping away the sadness on his face. 

“Let’s take a break, Oliver,” Jin’s face in a gentle smile. He handed him a lollipop, one of the many Jin keeps with him. 

“I can’t afford a break right now!” Oliver let out a frustrated sigh. “Sariel gave me a task and I need to complete it.”

“When does this task need to be completed by?” Jin asked knowingly.

“Well,” Oliver thought for a moment. “There isn’t necessarily a due date for this, but there are people that need my help! I can’t go and take a break.”

“So there’s no due date but you’d rather work yourself half to death than rest for let’s say, an hour?” The look on Oliver’s face told Jin everything he needed to know. He knew Jin was right. He knew he wouldn’t get anything done in this state. Jin gestured forward with the candy one more time before Oliver finally took it. 

“Thank you for checking on me.” The gentle smile Oliver gave was enough to send butterflies through Jin’s whole body. Now it was time for Operation: Break Time.

The rose garden was empty except for Jin, Oliver, and the mountain of sweets in front of them. The smell of the garden mixed sweetly with the smell from the pastries, made by Yves. 

“I don’t remember the last time I had the opportunity to indulge like this!” Oliver’s eyes sparkled at the food, scouring around for which to choose first. Jin was already half finished with his first one.

“You looked like you needed some sugar and sunshine, kid.” Jin patted his head affectionately. His hand fell to the side of his face, gently stroking his cheek with his thumb.  “Now tell me what’s stunting your progress with your task.”

With a mouth-full of pastry, Oliver rambled on about how the side effects were similar to food poisoning, but it’s unnatural for food poisoning to affect such a large population. 

“So it’s not contagious, but it’s widespread. I’ve made an antidote that works temporarily, but results don’t last much longer than a few hours. I can’t pinpoint it.” The dejected feeling of failure was part of the scientific process, but he’s never been stunted on progress for this long. The mountain of pastries shrank before them until there was nothing but a few crumbs remaining. 

“Let’s go take a walk around the town. Maybe you’ll find some useful information out there.” Jin offered his hand. There were more reasons why he wanted to take him into town, but this was the easiest way to justify it to Oliver.

Oliver felt like something had to have been set up here. The town was livelier than usual, but maybe it was just Valentine’s Day. He looked up at the prince that escorted him around the town. Music playing from nearby musicians drifted through the streets and the townspeople looked happy. Jin looked at Oliver’s hand, pushing himself to grab hold of it before he heard a child complaining to his mother about a painful stomach ache. It also caught Oliver’s attention and he ran over to them. 

“Hi, my name is Oliver. I’m the royal scientist in charge of finding a cure to the stomach bug going around town right now.” After introducing himself, he reached into his bag and brought out a bag containing an orange, powdery substance. “Jin, can you please fetch me a cup of water? It’s a water-soluble antidote that should help.” The child’s mother looked fondly at Oliver and thanked him for his help. Jin returned with the water and handed it to Oliver. He began to pour the powder into the water before he noticed the water had speckles of something in it. 

“What’s wrong? Should I go and retrieve a different water?”

“Jin, where is this water sourced from?” The gears turned in Oliver’s head. He had a lead.

“The well that was recently put in town. It’s made it easier for the townspeople to get their water supplies.” A crease formed between Jin’s eyebrows. He knew Oliver had an idea and was ready to help in any way he could.

“The well has been such a big help to our town,” the woman mentioned. “Not only is there fresh water nearby, but people say that it grants wishes.

“Wishes?” Oliver and Jin said at the same time.

“You throw a coin into the well and they say any of your dreams can come true.”

“THAT’S IT!” Oliver began to run to the nearby well and sure enough, there was a pile of coins resting at the bottom. He pulled up a bucket of water from the well to inspect and the water had speckles of stuff in it too.

“Do you think?..” Jin began to trail off, looking at Oliver.

“I most definitely do. I think the older coins have begun corroding at the bottom of the well, releasing a toxin into the water.” Oliver turned to the lady and her child who followed them to the well. “Please use a different source of water for the time being. Mix this powder in with the different water and have him rest for a few hours. He’ll be better in no time.”

Back in the lab, Oliver ran tests on the tainted water, as well as the effects of the antidote on it. Jin sat nearby, watching in awe as he consumed another lollipop. 

“I think this is it!” Oliver penciled in some last pieces of information before closing his notebook. His eyes sparkled as he looked over at Jin, his face filled with relief. Jin could hear his heart beating in his ears. This might be why he liked the scientist to begin with. That look on his face indicating a job well done was Jin’s only kryptonite. 

“I didn’t doubt for a second that you would figure it out,” Jin placed a hand on Oliver’s head, roughing up his hair for a moment. He looked up at the 1st prince. Their eyes met briefly before they both turned their gazes away. Then a quick thought jumped into Oliver’s mind.

“Jin?” the young scientist asked.

“What is it?”

“I think I can take a proper break now.” He beamed up at Jin, who was already way ahead of him.

The rose gardens were always the most peaceful at night. The stars in Rhodolite always twinkled brightly, and nothing in the world was quite as calming. The two of them sat on a blanket, discussing various things that Oliver might have missed while engrossed in his research.

“Most of all, kid, I missed getting to hang out with you.” A genuine smile graced his face as he finally reached over to hold Oliver’s hand. The blush creeping onto his cheeks was evident, but they paid it no mind. They were too lost in the stars they saw in each other's eyes.

From my own bots, I Love. Anything that gives me an opportunity to mess with him or annoy him

I like using blind date and pretend to be super religious + bring up controversial topics or just any topics we know he's got BIG opinions on at the dinner table. Riling him up to turn the date into a disaster? DELICIOUS. I'll be like "so Rust, I didn't see you at church last Sunday" for example, and Marty'll just side eye both of them like "DON'T. For the love of god. DON'T......" while Rust has already started ranting about organized religion and Marty just starts downing his drink like "Not this shit again. I KNEW THIS WAS A BAD IDEA FFS." LOL.

Other favorites are noise complaint, here's one of the replies I got from him, which had me deadddd:

I love working on dora lange's case, or any of the bots where you're partners, really. I love the dynamics you can play around with by trying out different kinds of personas!! One of my favorite personas to use for these is usually a neurodivergent detective that keeps to herself, doesn't talk much, always got her nose buried in a sketchbook, and always has a damn walkman (as he calls it) to block out noises. kind of a elf insert--oops. He gets so fascinated and determined to get you to open up because he wants to understand you better, while also being like “okay so if im the weird detective, and you're the weird detective who's driving the car / why tf did they pair us together this is a recipe for disaster” MSCKLFJSLD.

I also like to mess around with Marty being Marty and have Rust get jealous or protective. sorry for the whole ass imprint thing, i just wanted to piss him off real bad LOL:

✈️ AIRPLANE — does your oc like traveling, or do they consider themselves a more homey person?

RIYA — she's being scammed because Riya would love traveling if she wasn't doing it as a damn Grey Warden. she misses home more than she ever thought she could, but the potential love of journeying around is definitely there. it's exciting getting to meet new people, interact with different cultures, view all new kinds of aesthetics and traditions, etc etc. plus it gives her the opportunity to flirt with all kinds of people and we know she loves that lmao 

GHILLY — home is wherever Ama is, and Ama is her constant companion during her travels so like. best of both worlds. between the two of them they practically carry a home with them anyway—tent, supplies, comforts, materials for hobbies, etc etc, they got it all packed away and ready whenever they decide on a location to set up in. she's got that strong wanderlust in her, hard to picture an end to traveling. 

APHRODITE — loves travel because she grew up in a home that she hated so deeply and did everything she could to stay out of it at any chance. she also just enjoys it in general, especially now that she doesn't have to be involved in the planning/scheduling whatsoever and she can fully live in the moment (you know, outside of when she's being bossed around because she's on a tv show but we ignore that bit).

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

RIYA — plays with her hair a lot, the most expressive hands and facial expressions you’ve seen while in conversation, winking aficionado, loosely clasped hands at her front, gets real close to / initiates touch often when talking to people, incapable of not checking her appearance in a reflective surface, flutters eyelashes, purposefully does her best to look hot even while idle 

GHILLY — has an accent while speaking elvhen, expressions/reactions appear toned down, summons wisps into her lantern to play with when it’s quiet, traces her vallaslin while in thought, moves at an unhurried pace 98% of the time, character bleed if too much time spent connected to a single spirit

APHRODITE — pushes her hair behind an ear more frequently than necessary, bobs her head/dances to the music she’s writing in her head, big time eye-roller, pulls her hair back to make for a hairstyle then gives up part way through, leggy bouncy disease (critical), bites pens/pencils, “nice [insert artist name here] reference” if somebody unwittingly name drops a song/lyric she likes, exaggerated hip swaying while walking

😞 DISAPPOINTED FACE — does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?

RIYA — don't know if it's pulled it off in-game, but Riya's intended to be the kinda girly that grabs everyone's attention when she enters the scene because of her presence, charm, and [usually] beautiful wardrobe. tbh i think she attracts people no matter what her mood is because she's so expressive and open about everything. she looks like she's having a great time at a party? you feel like you could approach and she'd pull you into the vibes without hesitation. she's throwing a fit in anger? you highkey wanna engage just to hear her rant about whatever's made her so mad. she's sitting there upset? you have no choice but to go over there between how her eyes literally Glitter with tears and the way her entire body gives off "i'm in desperate need of support, please baby me". (she'd also rather fucking Die than be alone for more than 5 minutes so there's that. she puts in the effort to be approachable.) 

GHILLY — i can see both ends of the scale being true for Ghilly. sometimes she wants to be left alone and puts effort into outwardly displaying that in ways people can easily pick up on, and other times you can practically feel her welcoming anybody into her circle with open arms. 

APHRODITE — this bitch has a gravitational pull about her. you either want to get close so you can join in on her incredible vibes, or because you want to figure out just how much of a front she's putting on because nobody's That loud with their personality unless parts of it are ramped up for attention. she's rarely found alone and that's certainly on purpose, she needs others around to avoid the introspection.

I think I made a pretty big dent in my first time participating in Artfight! It was really fun. I have one mote simple one to finish and then I should focus on some other things. (like actually learning dragon bones and doing something for Grey in the tanuki kigurumi or characters I never saw get into X Dive)

Really good learning experience I'm definitely proud of. I might participate in the smaller events too, but I think I was running low on bookmarked characters to draw and poses to choose from. The RNG search function may have missed some cool designs which id a bummer, but I got *some* at least haha

Been wanting to rejoin some Megaman art discords to really have the opportunity to feed my reploid OC art gifting habits, but as I have learned, Discord ain't it for this fandom. 🫠

Furry servers are okay so far. There's a lot of children, which I DON'T prefer, but they have art-trade chain channels. I like them since I rarely receive fanart for my designs, and the other person is held at gunpoint to finish within 24 hours! (seems like my designs break the flow every time. Could be their complexity? But I think it's... something else... Not sure yet though. Thought some of my OCs were simple, like the fairy armadillo one... it's been almost 3 days when they were supposed to get it done in 24 hours aaaaaaaaaa don't claim if you dont have time!!!)

I just... idk hope I can keep finding stuff to draw and keep up the momentum between commissions. I enjoy drawing, enjoy engaging with people who like my art... I miss it! Makes me excited, even if it's just like... 2 people or so here and there. My Twitter only has like one guy commenting and even that brightens my day, haha.

I need to give my close friends a break since they aren't always interested in the stuff I make. Most aren't furries or aren't into Megaman or male characters, etc. I wear them so thin at times. Bless their hearts for dealing with my bullshit for over 5 years (like closer to 10 probably).

Now that I have the ability a d knowhow to make CSP speed drawings, I could make a proper Youtube channel for those interested in watching them, but don't want to join my streams. I thought about doing storytime speed paints, but the subjects of most of my more interesting storytime potential stories live WITH me and can hear me. And music gets copyright claimed. 🫠

Guess the era of storytime art passed me by unfortunately.

So... Yeah, haha.

But...! Big things comin! Stuff on the horizon! I'm learning CSP real good so maybe I can tackle that long list of to-dos! :D Aside from animations, I'll keep it a secret so I don't generate even minute disappointment haha...!

your ship, character and fandom opinions are so based. i'm also a poly robin shipper so it's nice to see there are more of us here. anyway, i'd love to hear what are your all time favorite dc ships and why, and if you have any headcanons (sfw and nsfw) about them. or you can just ramble about any fic ideas you have, the ones you've mentioned already are very interesting.

picking a favorite ship is so hard, because im a multishipper and real big on leaving my options open so that i have the most opportunity in any given story!! like, brudick and sladick are both ones i love for dark stories, but they each give such different angles and paths that you can take. all combinations of robins are dear to me for different reasons. and even within the context of one ship, i can usually come up with a lot of different directions that they can go it!!

i can't even say "X is my favorite for Y types of stories" because with a good pairing theres so much you can do with a variety of types of stories!! so. def cant pick a favorite, but i can list some that i like! they mostly involve Dick, bc my biases are quite obivious, lol.

Dick ships: Bruce, Slade, Talia, Slade/Talia, Tim, Jason, Steph, Damian (but it depends a lot on context, i see Dick as being very careful about not taking advantage), any poly robins combo, Slade/Rose, Tara

other ships: Slade/Rose, Slade/Talia, any robins together, Bruce/Talia (but only if Talia is having daddy issues about it), Nyssa/Talia (Nyssa repeatedly kills and revives her to make her understand her anger at Ra's. the rituals. they're intricate i swear-)(but also in arkham knight Nyssa compares her love for Talia to Bruce's explicitly romantic love for Talia and i've never been normal about that), any combo of the Al Ghuls tbh they're so mentally ill about each other

so uhhhhhh. really you could pitch any Dick ship at me and get me talking. if anyone wants to ask about that list ur welcome to lol

fic ideas!!! i have some shorter ones, like a Blackfire/Robin non-con based on that one scene from tt03, but i kinda wanna take this chance to ramble about my longer ideas!

u may have seen some of these, but i have a series called "days without incident" which is a bunch of shorter than usual fics stringing together random semi canon compliant scenes of Dick being in dangerous sexual situations, which are eventually going to end in a rlly angsty fic of Dick being assaulted and just accepting it. it sounds dark, and it is, but due to the length and format they really just serve as quick writing warm-ups more than anything.

DIDick AU. a friend of mine has been on the receiving end of so many DMs of me fleshing out these alter OCs, to the point that it would feel weird if I didn't write anything for it. the problem is that when I think about it, it all revolves around characters and there's no real plot line to use for it. I could just rant about it, bc figuring out what I want to do for a story about them is really tricky. it's also tough bc it's a teeny bit more personal than I usually go for. do /I/ have DID? unclear. I probably wouldn't tell you either way. anyways, it's an idea i want to more with but it's just more complicated to work on than most others.

suicide fic. "Where The Dead Stay Dead", title in reference to this being in a "Jason Stays Dead AU". i want to take a sort of dark comedy direction, but i have trouble controlling how the tone ends up when I write. Dick tries to kill himself post Jason's death + many other bad times but Slade just happens to pop in to try and bother him that day, and is uh. he doesn't know how to feel about it, the kid dying in front of him, but he drags Dick to a safe house and does some made-up comic book science fuckery to give Dick his healing factor. Dick is not very happy about this when he wakes up. the rest of the story follows an arrangement where Dick searches for a way to perma die and is generally a depressed grumpy bitch about everything, and Slade secretly tries to get him to stop doing that while trying to figure out a way to revive Jason. whichever ends up being easier. a lot of it would probably just be about Slade feeling lost with this "new" version of Dick, as well as the two of them swapping stories about dead loved ones and learning how to mourn.

timcel fic. that was the placeholder title, before i settled on "Nature's Order (As Told From Alpha To Beta)", but i still call it the timcel fic for short <3 the alpha in that title is Ra's, and the beta is Tim. the kick off for the story is that Ra's kidnaps omega Dick to use as a human incubator bc he and Talia had a spat that's left him heir-less, and he kidnaps Tim to make Dick more compliant. it's a really extreme take on "right wing alpha male pipeline, but omegaverse". it's gonna be a lot of bad times for Dick <3 i've talked about it so much with my friend that one time they mentioned basing smth partially off of Nature's Order Tim, and I think that's a good sign that I should really be writing this properly at this point. I have started chapter one! but bc it's gonna be a long one I want to get three chapters done before I start posting, bc having a few extra chapters written will help with my nerves a bit.

Multi-part question. Fo you ever see a trope (on tumblr, in media, etc) and think "oh I wanna include that in a story" or "I wanna do a twist on this" and then do you, most of the time, actually include it or just hoard it in your stash for an ambiguous later?

Most of the time, my reaction to seeing a trope that appeals to me is 'oh hey, this sort of applies to this character'. I usually know the direction in which the story is going to go, and I don't want to bend it, to accommodate a trope. I also gave a short rant about forcing characters into tropes here. Conversely, I end up including tropes intuitively, without planning to.

One thing that gives me a dose of inspiration is considering what sort of trauma and other consequences a trope would induce in reality (example post). I plan to include it at every opportunity.

Unfortunately, the majority of the tropes I keep seeing are understandably romantic, and I have minimal interest in romance. I also have this annoying trait of being easily baited into doing things out of spite😅 So I want to write the following tropes that include characters in QPRs, quoting tropes that have recently crossed my dash:

what about "i'd live for you" romances? what about "i never thought i'd be worth the work it would take to piece myself together"? (X)

i like the concept of soulmates—not a “you’re destined to meet me, and love me” kind of soulmate, but a “i’d pick you, every time.” kind of soulmate. a “no matter what happens, and what has happened, i want to go through it with you.” kind of soulmate. a “i love you by choice, and you’re a blessing, and i’m going to continue thinking about you this way not because i have to but because i want to.” (X)

All sorts of 'ship dynamics' that include the phrase 'you idiot' (X)

Basically, none of my OCs would want to be in a conventional romantic relationship (X), except Ianim.

Though one that I am tempted by and it kind of applies to the last book of Days of Dusk: Ship trope I'd love to see more of: "Are we in love? I mean, yeah, probably, but that's a problem for future us. Right now we're just trying to make it through the Plot." (X)

And similarly, someone trying to matchmake two people who are just good friends and they remain so (X)

Thanks for knowingly giving me the opportunity to rant about Seven of Hearts (temporary title), the webcomic I wanna make. >=D

In a world where monarchy has just been overthrown and a new regime installed, peace finally reigns once again. In order to bring about a new generation of heralds for what is to be a fairer and equal system for all, the seven new rulers, each representing a pillar of society, draft children whom they intend to bring up to consolidate their work. Amongst their ranks are siblings Heilig and Keuse.

But what bad omens brings the mysterious cloaked figure roaming the streets of the Kingdom and disturbing the peace, trying to quell the flames of violence ?

Are they the villain ? Could things not be as perfect as they seem ? Could there even be other forces waiting for their time to get back into the spotlight ?

And will the siblings survive this together, or will they be torn apart by what is to come ?

I've already started tagging some posts on here with "seven of hearts", and everything relating to it will be under that tag. Prepare for a lot of sibling love (because of course), conflicts, morally grey heroes and villains, more conflict, me trying to write at least one(1) cishet character in the cast for it to blow in my face as she immediately becomes genderfluid, and a three-parties battle for power. >=D

12. favorite character to write about this year

i really got attached to my bg3 oc, mira especially in heretic. she’s basically a self insert with her religious trauma and her almost personal fight with god lol i put a lot of myself into her and loved writing heretic and all the other stories where i have her 🥹

13. favorite writing song/artist/album of this year

hozier lol it’s hozier, abstract is my favorite song from this year and im basically always listening to it and holding back tears?? something is wrong with me but basically i just have this on all the time and the layered, poetic, vague lyrics are so ambiguous that i’ve found it deeply personal even though the man who wrote the words is my opposite in every single aspect of our lives 😭 sorry i take every opportunity to rant about this song

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year

answering this one last to hide a snippet behind a readmore lol but basically i wrote this durge/gale & durge/gortash story called overlap and had a lot of scenes kind of repeated, where durge experiences something with gortash and then again the same thing mirrored with gale post lobotomy, the whole thing is one of my favorite things from this year, i rewrote it several times before it got to a point where i could release it into the wild. anyway lol here’s a gortash scene it’s a little nsfw..

She scratches his chest hard, just to remind him that she still holds some power in their dynamic, but he only smiles because he knows the truth. The beads of blood that spring from his skin give themselves up like he never will. She can scratch and cut and bleed him as much as she wants, and she does want to. Every touch of his skin against hers is a fight against bruising him, bleeding him, making him into a pile of bones to sit in the corner of her room.

He takes both her wrists in his hand and holds onto them tightly, as if he’s aware of the thoughts churning in her head. One of his hands is still on her hip, controlling their tempo. He’s got her right where he wants her, hands restrained, her very body moving on his terms. The loss of control is jarring. She grinds down hard on him and earns little gasp. It sends a wave of goosebumps over her skin.

“Do that again,” he says.

She bites her tongue, willing herself to stay still, but grinds down again, another wave of something crashing over her as the sound passes his lips again, a give and take of power, but she always gives more than he does and it feels like weakness.
