・゚♡ Imagine falling for the new ruler of Lórien...
♡ The Galadhrim have lost their dear king Amroth and the wounds of war are still deep within you, too. What will become of you and your forest?
♡ At first, you don’t believe the rumours of legendary Galadriel coming to Lothlórien. The Princess of the Ñoldor? What could she want with a land destroyed by war and tragedy?
♡ It isn’t until you see her golden hair, woven with the lights of the Two Trees, that you finally believe it: Indeed, in this time of great need, Galadriel has come to help your people and ease its sorrows.
♡ Her beauty, as well as her knowledge and wisdom, leave you speechless. Never have you seen such grace before you! Galadriel is tall and towers over most everyone, including you.
♡ As a servant of the former king Amroth, you take it upon yourself to tend to your new queen. But when you step up to honour Galadriel, she tilts her head in surprise.
♡ “I have no wish or right to take the title of Queen for myself, for I am only a guardian of this small but fair land,” she tells you, her voice deep and resonant, quiet and elegant.
♡ She asks you to stand up, taking your hands in hers – you spot her ring, Nenya, just as beautiful and powerful as its bearer.
♡ This meeting changes something in Galadriel, too. She finds herself drawn to your pretty face, your kind words and loyalty. Is it proper to think about you as often as she does? In this case, she couldn’t care less about etiquette!
♡ Not only does Lady Galadriel think of you often, she also dreams of you. Lothlórien is already magical, but somehow, Galadriel’s powers intertwine with it, always letting you know when her fond mind rests with you.
♡ She dreams and allows you rights and advantages like few other Elves in her realm, like accompanying her on walks and sharing ancient stories with you. Galadriel also grants you looks into her magical mirror, on lonely and silent nights.
♡ In turn, Galadriel confides in you, too, for anything concerning her home realm of Lothlórien, its history and people. Said people sometimes chuckle about your obsession with the realm’s new lady, but even they are helpless under Galadriel’s spell – her charm is irresistible!
♡ This makes you think on more than one night: Why would she have me, if she could have anyone? Royalty, a king even? But Lady Galadriel only has eyes for you ♡
♡ Loyal as you are, you help Galadriel continue building Caras Galadhon, from where the moonlight grants you a view all the way to the Misty Mountains! The nights up here are heavenly and filled with joy and wonder.
♡ Your heartbeat quickens any time you feel Galadriel’s watchful eyes on you, be it physically or in a dream. Galadriel’s telepathy is powerful, scaring you at times – but something about your connection comforts you, too.
♡ Galadriel will kiss and praise you during any opportunity she gets, whether in dreams or reality. With you, her stoic gaze turns playful, and her voice whispers sweet nothings instead of ancient legends.
♡ Being as tall as she is, kissing you is an easy task for her. You, however, have to stand on your tip toes to do the same – which delights her to no end!
♡ “How thankful I am to have come to these lands! Only here could I have found the most precious light among all the golden leaves, the love which even the starlit night envies of its beauty. Come to me, my dear.”
Sadly, this post comes with a bit of a downer for me. Originally, this was a request that was sent off-anon. I happily wrote the scenario for the entire evening, after a long day of real-life work, only to find that when I finished the post and clicked on the asker's profile, that they themselves write using and promoting AI.
I cannot stress this enough: Generative AI has stolen and continues to steal the work of real human writers and artists. Please do not support it.
It's late at night as I type this, and I no longer want to answer this person's request. I edited it a bit and will post it now as is because I have put too much of my free time into it (almost two hours with editing and formatting) to delete it entirely. Also, perhaps, some Galadriel fluff will bring others joy -- at least I hope it will!
Thank you for reading this far!

I still can't digest Adar's demise because he deserved better, or at least he deserved the chance to stab Sauron one last time, but I thought about it more, and Adar was so MVP that Sauron did not want to risk losing his body again to him, so he used Adar's children to take him out because he knew Adar wouldn't defend himself if his children turned on him. Sauron was kinda cowardly.
Hi anon and thank you for your ask! :)
I think part of Sauron using Adar's children to kill him might have been Sauron not wanting to get his hands dirty/avoiding a direct confrontation to minimize the risk towards his newer body (I didn't even fully register that aspect before, and it is a good point!), but I think the main reason he did it is because he knew it would hurt Adar the most.
As we can see in the scene itself, Adar doesn't even fight back. Partly because of Nenya (Sam Hazeldine mentioned in an interview that the transformation caused Adar to feel defenseless, that he wasn't able to fight Sauron anymore), but also - in my opinion - because he couldn't bear to hurt his children, whom he had spent centuries defending and fighting for.
Everything he did - including killing Sauron - was for his children (Sam Hazeldine mentioned in two interviews how Adar only continues to live for the uruk); I think one possible reading might be that when the uruk attacked him, he lost his will to live.
And it's essentially the most cruel death Sauron could have given Adar - not only have his own children turned against him, but they are now going to be enslaved by Sauron, and all of Adar's work to better their situation and future will have been for nothing. And Adar must have been aware of that, in that moment.
That he failed, utterly and completely.
It's just...extremely cruel, and petty.
As been pointed out various times, it also mirrors Adar's own betrayal of Sauron, but at least Adar was the first one to attack Sauron during the betrayal in s2e1, whereas Sauron didn't lift a finger and let Adar's children do the dirty work.
(Also, sidenote, but I think this way of killing Adar is also a cruelty towards the uruk - Sauron has already killed Glug, and when he begins to force the uruk into following his orders, they will know that it was they themselves - their own kin - who killed the only person who ever cared about their wellbeing and protected them. That they took their only choice of a better future from themselves, and are now stuck with the consequences.)
#sauron is so inspiring - he inspires self-hatred in everyone he interacts with#not included in this little ramble: the opinion that the death scene nontheless felt rushed#and that the betrayal might have actually worked *better* if they'd let adar live - both because seeing his children become enslaved#by sauron and being unable to stop it is even more cruel but also because it could have set them up as really interesting adversaries#can you tell i am not all exactly all about the 'symmetry' angle nor over adar's death?#adar#adar trop#adar the rings of power#trop#the rings of power#trop spoilers#the rings of power spoilers#spoilers#anon ask#anon#mine

What do you think Galadriel’s Last Temptation will be? I’m so excited for that scene. I think it will have anything to do with the “I felt it too” scene from s1 (they already pitched it this season). Any thoughts?
My inclination is that it's going to have something to do with Nenya. Galadriel's arc this season is whether or not to trust Nenya and learning to harness Nenya's powers. She also clearly has developed a bond with her ring.
I could totally see Sauron trying to manipulate her using that. Perhaps offering to help her harness its powers or something of the like? I think whatever the temptation is will also build on last season and her already-formed bond with Sauron.
In the Last Temptation track, there's that bit where the Halbrand theme starts playing, and I think at that point Sauron will shift back to his Halbrand form for her. I totally think he will play on the connection they formed in S1 and tie it to how she feels about Nenya in some way.
Other than that, I don't yet have a more specific guess. But I'm quite sure it will center on Nenya.
Thanks for the ask! And like you, I am super excited for the scene when it comes. I have a feeling it's going to be magnificent, regardless of what happens.

Hello Mairon! Have you read elf lover? I'm reading it now and it is sooo good. It starts off extremely hilarious from saurons POV about galadriel, like why he likes her so much, and then it moves on to that type of angst you mentioned you were into regarding their dynamic.
While reading it so far, I kept picturing ALL the pieces that you drew, especially the nenya wept one. I feel think that you will like it, given how you liked the previous recs!
Anyway, hope you're having a good day!!
ok so I know this is a spelling mishap but your ask made me laugh because for some reason I never realized my actual name was so close to Sauron's OG one (Mairon) and now I'm sitting there thinking: huh. would you look at that! Guess it was my destiny to be out there drawing fanart of the guy. Anyway, back to the matter at hand!
Thank you so much for the rec! I will give it a go!! I'm sure I'll love it as I haven't been disappointed by everyone's recs so far <3 Hope you're having a good day too!!

Getting hyped for ROP season 2!!! First off--Galadriel and Nenya!!! Galadriel and Nenya!!! I'm so excited to see my babey with her ring! But!! Do you think just wearing the ring will be enough to shield Galadriel's mind from a certain someone...or will we get some more mind games like we got right after the Big Reveal last season?!!!
I am so excited for season two and I'm so happy other people are getting hyped for it! I haven't watched the episodes yet, but I will tomorrow and I can't wait!
Ugh yes my baby Galadriel with her ring!! 😭
I feel like her ring will make things better and worse at the same time, and she will have to learn how to balance it. Because the rings are so powerful, Nenya will most likely be able to protect Galadriel from many dangers, but on the other, it might cause her more pain as Sauron could attempt to use it against her in some way.
As much as I want the ring to protect her from Sauron's control, I think that it's something that she's going to have to learn to use. As she gets more familiar with the power she weilds, her mind will become stronger, but for now, she's in such a vulnerable state from the end of season 1 that I think she is susceptible to falling into more mind games from her greatest enemy. What I've seen in the trailers seem to suggest that she is going to start having visions, and whether those are given to her by her ring as a warning or by Sauron to attempt to frighten her, I hope that we can watch her untangle all of these complicated emotions she is undoubtedly going to be feeling and come out on the other end stronger than ever.
The mind game sequence in S1 was one of my favorites and it was so cleverly done, and honestly kind of unsettling, so I hope we see it more! That's one of the best parts of Sauron's character: His ability to warp the minds of others to fit his will. Galadriel was able to fight it before, but I don't think my baby girl is going to be strong enough in season 2 to fight him off again after her emotional turmoil in season 1. Hopefully, she will have support from her friends and companions to guide her and protect her through her grief and pain. I just want her to be okay-
Thanks for sending me an ask!! I LOVE discussing TROP with other excited fans of the show, so this really made me happy! Feel free to add any of your thoughts to this if you feel so inclined!

Thoughts on the finale? I really loved it. It did hurt my heart a bit to see Elrond standing alone in the last shot though. GALADRIEL THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. She was amazing!! When she fell I was like “narrative parallels.” I like to think Elrond still has a healthy dose of fear of the rings but he loved her more than that fear. Also, Galadriel how did you survive the fall? Do have any explanations because I’m 🤷♀️ Maybe Morgoth’s crown had something to do with it or Nenya. Elrond getting mad over the texts is so me. Like yes king care about history and knowledge!
How have you been?
I LOVED IT. Honestly, this was one of the most epic masterpieces of TV. The battle? Absolute perfection. That scene between Annatar and Celebrimbor, with his almost Shakespearean prophecy, and Charles Edwards’ phenomenal performance? INCREDIBLE. THE BALROG LOOKED MAJESTIC. And when Durin, even in his grief, still sent an army to help Elrond, it had me wailing 😭 I KNEW the dwarves would come!!! I knew it!
Also, Elrond gets hotter with every episode. The moment with the ancient lore was so valid. I was furious when they destroyed it 😭 AND WHEN HE HEALED GALADRIEL??? If that’s the start of his healer arc, I will scream!!!
But it's bittersweet because now it’s over, and we have to wait another two years 🥲 (still desperately clinging to that one mention of "next year" in one of the interviews 🤞)
Thank you for the ask! 🫶🏻

so i read quite a few of your posts and spammed you with likes, i hope you don't mind too much but you are perhaps the most informed person on trop tea i have came across and your speculations make me more excited for s2 😅
so from what i understand, there has been a very little info on galadriel's storyline compared to other characters? all we know is that she is with adar and elrond is trying to save her, then she fights sauron. and as for sauron, he spends most of the season with celebrimbor (can i ask what's that horrible fate of his? i havent read the books).
tbh, my delulu ass hopes that the fact that gal's storyline is so under-the-wraps means that it's going to be smtng special and spicy (instead of her having a reduced screen-time), and the actors being more open about haladriel stuff is bc that "surprise" storyline has to do with them. has it been conformed that they will use their mental bond in the season?
ahhh, anyways, your theory about galadriel going with sauron after being alienated by other elfs is *chief's kiss*. i will personally go and kiss the ring of the writers if that's true! i have also been seeing speculations about sauron chasing galadriel but not sure what's that based on (saw it on twt but then decided to avoid the twt space bc im afraid of possible ship wars ruining my experience for s2 since i saw a couple of sauron and celebrimbor shippers say they will have sexual tension or smtng. totally fine with shippers being shippers but i have had such a bad experience with ship wars that i want to just altogether avoid even witnessing them).
sorry for a long ask/rant! thanks for all your posts, they are really interesting! ❤
That's no problem and thanks so much!!! 😀 Yeah, I keep up with all the spoilers and news now as this show has become one of my major fandoms now and I get like this and those who followed for over the years know when I get into a show or movie series. LOL I'm going to post most of this behind a cut since it's got major spoilers for the season but will say Morfydd has talked a lot about Galadriel's storylines and her getting Nenya is huge part of this too, and her, Charlie, and the writers did talk about her and Sauron's mental bond and that it will be a huge part too. Morfydd did film "Starve Arce", a horror movie which is out now, while s2 was filming but I don't think it impacted production that much since the cast is so large and s2 was filmed over 9 months. Also this season has been confirmed to be Sauron centric so it's more centered around him as the lead, but she's still listed by Amazon as the female lead and has second billing under Charlie. So now to the spoilery parts.
So again Galadriel's main storylines from interviews and the trailers are receiving Nenya and learning how to use it, the mental bond she has with Sauron (which they also confirmed will be a huge part of the show till it ends with season 5) and some sort of creepy vision early on in the season, being outcasted by the other elves and even causing issues with Elrond, she has scenes with Cridan and Gil Galad too as her fellow elven ringbearers, the fight with the barrow wights with a team of other elves, getting captured by Adar, learning from Adar more about Sauron, forming an alliance with Adar including what seems like to use her as bait to lure Sauron out, and then as we saw in the final trailer the big confrontation she has with Sauron and showing him Nenya. Plus, they could still be hiding things from us too as these trailers are only mins and we have 8 episodes total and if like in season 1 they likely are all over an hour long.
Celebrimbor's story is so tragic too. He actually gets killed by the orcs and dies in a horrible manner, which is also likely why the show's rating increased as it's even more violent than season 2. I don't want to spoil it too much, but he will die in the season finale and Sauron does horrible things before that to him both physically and verbally. It's very much like an abusive relationship which is why I don't ship them. I understand that others do but their scenes are going to be so hard to watch. Both Charlies and the writers have called it a friendship or bromance, but those terms seem to suggest they aren't going for it to be romantic either but a friendship that turns violent and more into Sauron/Annatar being master. But this does show Sauron treats Galadriel differently to everyone else.
But yeah I'm hoping there won't be a ship war but I doubt it'll be in this case. Celebrimbor also in the books wanted to marry Galadriel himself in the 1st Age but she fell in love with Celeborn and married him instead. I posted before how that could bond Celebrimbor and Sauron as they'll both end up losing her to Celeborn. If any ship war happens it'll actually be whenever Celeborn comes back as we all know from the books and movies Galadriel ends up with him and they still have to have their daughter as they can't change too much and still have to make sure the LOTR books/movies play out the way they do when this show ends.
I'm still thinking, like others now too, that it is possible she does go with Sauron at the end of season 2. Especially if she fully is cast out after working with Adar, using Nenya, and then all those that die in the battle including Celebrimbor. Sauron still hasn't given out the 9 rings to the men or created the One Ring by the end of s2 so he has to get to that in season 3, and her s3 storyline is a mystery too. It seems like a possibility like others and I have pointed out that they could leave together, whether she's in charge for now thanks to Nenya and her new powers, or not. She will find her own kingdom of Lothlorien and be queen there so we might see that play out but eventually if Sauron's with her it will still end in tragedy as he keeps falling deeper into his dark ways and will go back to Numenor, and her husband Celeborn will be back. We'll get more info as the episodes air but I can see something like that happening.

survivor + character of your choice
Thank you @nablah, this ask came just when needed! <3
Silence, Thicker Than Frost
It snowed, upon the thatched roofs of Edoras; the doors of Dwarrowdelf cast cold shadows upon a cold landscape, and even in the borders of the Golden Wood cold winds blew, bringing flecks of damp and a close, stifling smell of rot.
Outside the bounds of her Girdle, it was the death of autumn, the start of what ould be a long, crop-killing winter, enough rain to flood the hills and wreck old trees from the ground. Most storms carried something of the Enemy’s will in them, these days; and the Enemy was an inventive creature, a craftsman of the sort Galadriel had known, once.
No snow, in Lothlórien. No plant-killing ice; never, not ever a cold so terrible as to steal the breath from the body, and the spirit from the flesh.
Even in summer, the clouds above Lothlórien were dark as iron, grumbling thunder, an did not dare unleash scatterings of lightning; her own will pressed against the vast force of it, pressing the ozone out, away, far from the shelter of her people.
How Celebrían had loved the storms! Had loved them enough to beg her mother to allow some summertime drizzles to fall upon Lothlórien, the violent, wind-sweeping storms that made robes and hair and feet dance.
For love to her daughter and the humming of the yearning treees, Galadriel had allowed something of summer’s tempers to fall upon the land; but never anything of winter’s shadow had come upon Lothlórien.
For Galadriel was the last one to have known Winter Itself, and she did not intend to ever invite it near, not even in memories.
No one that lived on this side of the sea remembered the crossing of the Ice, and even those in the West have not felt in on their new skin: Galadriel was the last to carry the memories and marks, the last survivor of the Ice.
-
It had been summer, an easy blooming season even outside the Golden Woods, when her daughter was caught; and summer again, when she went from her husband’s Homely House to the ship that would bear her across the wide sea, to Galadriel’s own childhood realm. A false spring, turned to blizzards; a summer of drough, an autumn of pests, a winter of sickness.
Galadriel had been ambushed, beleaguered, engrossed. All of her power turned to upholding the safety of her people, Nenya’s power pulsing along with her heart’s beating. She had not dared search her out herself, or take her to Imladris; or say farewell in the shores of Mithlond, when the time came.
The winter Celebrían had spent in captivity had sapped her of such strength. She had lost toes to it, and swathes of skin; so much of her valour. Her good night’s sleep, and her certainty of safety. Galadriel had felt her, at times, far in her perception beyond the Wood, captured in the dark caves of the mountain passes, places so damp and lightless they held no shadow.
She had felt her, and felt the Enemy’s power encroaching, and she had only been able to turn her great power to one of her duties.
She had been glad, then, for what she had suffered in the ancient days of the Grinding Ice; had returned to her memories of the starless black fields and the treacherous bergs and floes with a vengeance, as if she might by the sharpness of recall do good to her daughter and wound the Enemy, and not merely herself.
In her selfish wrath Galadriel had thought, I understand this at least, my daughter, and I know you will survive this brief blight upon the business of your life. Had written many letters, and never received a reply; for Celebrían then had not been of a will to raise a hand to grasp her quill or uplift her voice to dictate any response.
Celebrían had trembled all the way through the meager rainfall on the way from Imladris to the Havens, Galadriel had heard - gleaned, from her granddaughter’s memories. But Galadriel had not been there, either, to bless her crossing and kiss her thinned hands, to chafe them between her own and will all the warmth of her endless summers into her.
-
Winter’s worst harshness never came to Lothlórien. No chill bit at its mellyrn to chew them from the outside, its golden and silver leaves never fell - no frost covered the living wood of the talans where its people dwelt.
The ring Nenya allowed the Lady to do much that had once not been thought possible, even among the wisest of her people; such a preserving of beauty and plenty thar had had no equal in Ost-in-Edhil, nor Mithlond, nor anywhere but long-sacked and long-sunken Doriath.
There had been more of light and warmth and growth, to the Woods, before her daughter was harmed; now autumn was ever-chasing the boundaries of her power, a sly fox sniffing its way into the coop. She grew no stronger. And always weaker, very slowly and very perceptibly.
To herself, at least. To her husband, certainly. It took a great deal out of Galadriel, this long defeat. A timeless time marked only by intervals of loss or the expectation of loss.
“My lady,” Celeborn said. “May I?”
“My lord,” said Galadriel, not moving. Her face was tilted upwards for the rain, but her mind was in the forest, among the deep roots, in the dark mulch, rooting with the beetles, prowling the high boughs with her guardsmen.
He brought her a cape, finely woven by her own hand, and kept her company in her sleepless vigils. Clasped her hand, lent her his power; rooted her, Celeborn of Doriath, Celeborn of Lothlórien, her lord who was strong and steady as an unshakable tree.
It was not that Galadriel was cold.
It was only that hers was a false summer, her Wood’s and her body’s. She, who remembered the Ice, and the darkness, ached in the tender marrow of her bones. It was not a pain she had ever, ever tolerated the possibility of her daughter knowing.
Far, far away, in a land of no winter, where Darkness was mended and all illness made whole, Celebrían had survived her time of darkness; Celebrían might be, even now, perhaps, dancing with the storm.
If the Enemy came, Galadriel would die for her people, and their land, and never join her with her own cold-harmed body, never give her what might there could be in a mother’s perfect, bitter understanding.
One day, perhaps, they might dance together across the sea, as when Celebrían was a child leaping with her face turned to the rain. Galadriel foresaw much, but so much in her own defeat could only be given to hope without certainty.

In 'Shall These Bones Live', Celebrimbor says that he intended to keep Vilya in Eregion and send Narya to Gil-galad. Why do you think he wanted Vilya and not the Ring of Fire?
Thanks for the ask, anon!
He wanted to keep Vilya because it was the most powerful and because its powers fit with what he intended. Celebrimbor is interested in power over the physical world and Vilya the most powerful of the Three (or in one source Nenya, but never Narya). I also don't think he's particularly interested in the inspiration, kindling cold hearts thing that we see Gandalf do with Narya.
Other possibility: both Vilya and Narya were intended to stay in Eregion. I don't think Lindon and Eregion always had great relations, especially at this time.
Real answer: I don't think I've ever seen C wanting to keep Vilya, and in the absence of any strong feelings or headcanons, if I'm ok with both interpretations, my inclination is to adopt the less common one as my own. I also try to get away from the "Feanorian fire" thing with Celebrimbor.

My darling, for your fic writer asks: 3, 11, 18, & 24, please and thank you. 💜
tysm for asking im- :')
3. What was your first fandom? - gfhjdkgghfjd I was 11 and it was 1980s British ice dancing couple Torvill and Dean, niche, I know.
11. What's an idea for a fic that you'll probably never write? - I started a King Aemond fic that I absolutely adore, but have lost motivation for, so probably won't continue. Aegon refuses the crown, and the Small Council agree, after little persuasion, to perpetuate the story that Viserys named Aemond as heir. Aegon becomes a member of the Kingsguard to take himself out of the line of succession, with the promise that when the war against Rhaenyra is over, he will be allowed to live out his days in the pillowhouses of Lys. Aemond gets everything he wants - the crown, the queen, the legacy....... or at least that's what he hopes. It's Helaemond heavy and I thought it would be a hit, but it's not, really.
18. Is there some headcanon you've included in more than one fic? - yes, lots! I tend to stick to the same headcanons and incorporate them across my fics, for example: - Helaemond: even after Helaena marries Aegon, no one really cares if Aemond sleeps in her rooms, even when they get older. Everyone assumes Aemond is too dutiful to allow anything to happen, and Helaena is too simple to betray her marriage vows. They can hide in plain sight. This idea creeps into quite a few fics. - Helaemond: Helaena wore a blue dress on her wedding day. Alicent and Viserys chose her husband, and so they could at least allow this. Her favourite colour is blue; blue for Dreamfyre, blue for Aemond. His favourite colour is blue, too. Blue for Dreamfyre, the first dragon he ever rode. Like with many other people's Aemond fics, the colour blue comes up at significant moments! - Billy Washington x reader: on your first proper date, you smelled of lavender soap, and he associates you with lavender now. So he buys you sprigs, he buys you lavender trinkets. It is now his favourite smell, and colour. - Lord of the Rings, Elrond x Celebrian: according to one version of the history Elessar, Galadriel gave it to Celebrian after Celebrimbor gave her Nenya (essentially a jewel with ten times, a hundred times, the power of the Elessar). It is customary amongst the Noldor for the parents of a woman to give a jewel to the man she intends to marry, as a symbol of their approval of the match (hence why Galadriel bestowed it upon Aragorn in the book - amongst other reasons). Now, Celebrian was thousands of years old come the War of the Last Alliance, and my headcanon is that she gave it to Elrond not only as something for him to use to heal others on the battlefield, but also as a sign that she would marry him once the war was over. In return, he gave her one of his circlets as a sign that he entrusted Rivendell to her care while he was away.
24. What's the cringiest fic (affectionate) you've ever written? - oh god, I 've been writing fanfic since I was 13, there's a lot of nonsense out there! But I don't think there's anything that I truly cringe about looking back? I never wrote anything hateful, never wrote real-person fanfic. Maybe Thranduil x wife? Because that man is gay, and I truly believe that.

RoP Ask Game! ♡: 4, 20, 30
Hi there!!
4. What’s your favourite location in RoP?
I was originally going to say Númenor and I do really think the scenic design is lovely there, but the place I really love looking at the most is the grove tree statues in Lindon. I think it's such a neat little piece of world building.
20. Name three of your favourite scenes (or lines, or scenes and lines).
1) The barn interrogation scene between Adar and Galadriel. I was really enjoying the show up to that point in S1, but when I tell you that that scene awakened the part of me that was interested in making things-- I wouldn't have come back to fandom or written ~180k if it weren't for that scene right there. 2) The scene with Adar and Nenya in S2. There was a lot of speculation among Adar fans before that episode that we might see a Nenya-healed Adar and I wasn't sure that's was something I wanted until it did and I got to see him *choose* to give it up. I really liked that. 3) “Hope is never mere, even when it is meager” is a great line and I like it a lot.
30. Choose three characters (not necessarily your favourite ones). Say three positive things about each of them.
I could do the cop-out and just say I've answered this before, but let's give it the college try first. Nori: I like her inquisitiveness; it feels positively Tookish to me. I love her loyalty too. If she's in for an adventure, she's all in! I think this is a more subtle thing about her character - but I do like that she's willing to do difficult or tedious work, it just has to be something that's not mundane. Shucking snails - boring. Preparing a cactus to eat - fun. Relatable, Nori. Celebrimbor: I really loved watching him solve the mouse situation; that was clever of him to sort out since realistically, he'd have no evidence someone could do that. He gets so excited about new ideas in smithing and it makes the world feel more wondrous. And I love every minute of him standing up to Sauron. What a very brave person he is! Durin: He has the audacity! He will straight up say an Emissary of the Valar is probably lying and maybe did something shifty with the Rings. He respects the hell out of Disa, even when they disagree about things. He is willing to forgive; his friendship rekindling with Elrond in S1 was so lovely to see because Durin had good reasons to be mad but he forgave Elrond anyway.
Thank you for asking! You picked great questions! I had to really think about some of these answers. ❤️

I love you
I was running, the Justiciars had just arrived. Your grandmother was beside herself with grief. Your grandfather was inconsolable, too stricken to speak. She gave them my name and a brief description, they were set upon collecting their evidence. But I had long went. I carried you in my arms, tight against my breast, wrapped in my shawl. I trudged through the river and through the brambles and fell over. When I reached the carriage outbound for Sunhold, I was filthy. The coachman all but refused me. I had the cloak of night as my advantage, none here would know until morning. There was the risk the carriage would be intercepted by the Divine Prosecution, that all outbound travel would be halted, a fear I felt so terribly my bones quaked in my skin. But as he led out and passed the boundary of the town, I looked back at the distancing scape with a sigh of relief. From here on we only need fly to Sunhold. I offered the coachman a surplus faire if he would skip over stations and stops along the way, that we reach the city faster…. I was afraid, my love. But I had you in my arms and it reassured me….but I knew we would soon part…the crime I committed was unforgivable, unforgettable…If I remained in Summerset they would've hunted me down, separated us, and put you somewhere far from my reach…I stain these pages with my own tears at just the thought of it…When we reached the city, you were sleeping soundly, peacefully nestled in my hold. Others would reel at the sight of me when I passed. I looked haggard and worn….I had seen in their faces the very same reaction your father had when I came to him.
FLASHBACK
"…it is therefore the opinion of this author that the confluence of these two independent variables does not, with immense certainty, fall within the parameters set by--" --CRACK-- The noise took me from my writing, a second followed ---CRACK--, the window had been struck by a pebble. Could it have been? I thought, for so long a time had passed. I came to the sill and as I peered out of the pane a third pebble had been flung against the glass --CRACK-- I pulled it open and craned my head out and there she was. Nenya, my beloved, my heart soared at the sight of her, her radiance kindled the dying flame that flickered longingly in the depths of my soul.
Before I did think, I reached for her, "Nenya, you're back? Thank the gods, my sweet." so overjoyed I was to see her that I neglected to notice an odd lump in her hold. She scaled the lattice to my window, impressively for use of only one arm. I helped her crawl in, she handled the ball gently. "Where have you been? What's that?" I asked her, pointing to the covered object in her arm. She stood and stepped away from me, toward my bed where she sat at it's edge. "Aurendil, come sit beside me." she beckoned me, patting on the ruffled spot on the bed. I obliged, coming to her side. "I've missed you so terribly." I admitted low, a quake in my voice. I reached for her hand and brought it toward my lips.
"I am sorry for having left so unforeseen…but you must understand, I had no choice…" she told me wearing a mien of shame. I could not but ask with great concern. "What do you mean? Please, Nenya, my sweet, do not leave me in such blighted ignorance…" I pleaded my suffering. She looked to me, tears brimming in her burning amber hues, her arm lowered and her hand pulled aside the cloth that wrapped what I soon found to be…a babe…you, my son, and you were beautiful…but I was a coward. I reeled and gripped my chest, "Nenya where did you find this child?" I asked, shock stirring me into defense.
The very question was an insult, it was clear upon her face which had turned sour "I did not steal him, if that is what you mean…this is our son, Aurendil." she asserted, you began to groan. I could not believe this, within I was a storm of fear and that fear quickly formed into rage, I scoffed at her "I see now, this is why you were gone for more than a year. You were with child and didn't think to so much as tell me? Not even the slightest hint? Do you know how reckless and irresponsible that is? You realize my family will never accept him, don't you?" I lashed at her, your mother rose to meet me at eye-level. "If that is their choice I will not force them to love my son."
"And neither did I expect them to embrace him. I've come here tonight for one single reason and that is to know where your heart lies." she affirms, holding you away from me. Her trust in me rapidly eroding. I felt such hurt, to me she had turned against me, and now believed me so little that I would not be there to care for my own son. But how could she have been so selfish? So I thought. To have gone through with this and not have told me? What would I have said to my family? "Nenya! That child is now an heir to this house whether my family views the legitimacy of that claim or not, he is nevertheless entitled to it, it is in our best interest that they accept him."
She looked at me with such bitter disgust. "No, he already has a family that accepts him, that loves him regardless of his 'legitimacy'. He does not need them." she rebuked, "What family? A motley gang of apraxic sewer-rats? That's hardly a stable setting to raise a child." I was so furious, my anger blinded me beyond basic empathy. Your mother blushed in her upset, stalling a moment to fully register the poison dripping from my words. "I knew you hadn't truly changed at all, Aurendil…" she utters low, disappointment lacing her tone "Those people you think so little of are my family…and I would choose them over this cold dark house any day…."
She was right, they were more your family than my own ever was. I was a fool and worse, after leaving me speechless, she turned toward the window. Tears still searing down my cheeks, I reached for her and tried to pry you from her arms. "No!" I cried "I won't let you take him from me!" I attempted to wrest, "Aurendil stop!" she shrieked, I thrashed her, would that I relinquished you, pushing her into the wall and stuffing my hand between you and her, pushing her with all my strength, you screamed so awfully, distressed by our scuffling. "Aurendil!!!" your mother cried. "Stop it! Let him go!!" yet I continued, anger and sorrow converging into me. "No! You can't have him, he's my son! He belongs in this house! You are unfit as his mother!!!" I shouted into her face with hissing spite.
Your poor mother, desperate to free you and herself of me she reached back for a vase that stood atop a pedestal beside us and struck me with it. Bashing it against my skull. It happened so quickly, but I had tumbled onto the floor and a puddle of my blood flooded around me. "Aurendil!!!" she came to kneel at my side, you were wailing in her shawl, she picked up my head, her hands staining with my own blood "Aurendil! Wake up, please!" she'd try, but my wound was fatal. I lay there limply, not but a corpse. She wept with you, sobbing over my body. But her grief broke at the sound of rising footfalls scaling the stairs to my door. Your mother planted a kiss upon my forehead and hushed you.
She stole out of the window before the door was breached and took off, never to return…but know this my most beautiful child, I did not, in my final moments, blame your mother. I do not blame her now. I forgive her for my death, but more than anything I hope she can forgive me. For I regret so much…
PRESENT
I cannot keep you, my darling. I hummed you a lullaby as I ambled slowly up the roads, taking as much time as I could to spend with you our final moments together. Watching you smile and coo as I sang to you. I am so sorry. I brought you to the steps of this most sacred of monasteries. Dedicated to Lord Stendarr. Here I came all my youth, where I was cared for as but an orphan…here I come now, to leave another at their door. I wanted so much more for you, Auric, I wanted to be your mother…but much is unjust in this world, and even more I regret. Tired, I came before their doors and left you wrapped in a bundle. I pinched the back of your arm so that you would wake from your slumber and cry. I fled, turning the corner of a barrier and waited. It didn't take long for a monk to come and investigate, only to find you there, crying at his feet. I tried to stifle my sobs, watching as he picked you up and rocked you. "There there, little one." I recall him calming you softly. Looking about in search of anyone that would claim you before turning and disappearing into the monastery. It took all the strength I possessed not to lunge out and stop him…but Mara stayed me. When the doors closed it was done…and I no longer had you…I felt so empty, so lost, hollowed out without you. I fled the isles, I would leave as far from them as I could…that one day, you may find this…that one day you may find me…I love you,

I am not anon but I AM interested (sorry if you've already told ppl this): how WERE the babies crafted and at what point in all of this does Annatar admit to Tyelpe who he is?
Hello! Thank you for your patience, sorry for some reason my brain just couldn't get into gear for a while to answer Asks but here we are at last.
The basic idea ive always had is that Tyelpe made the Ring Babies by accident, via a sort of Powerpuff girls scenario xD He's just there doing awesome magic science and then poof--he's a father.
Beyond that what I've been able to figure out is that it was ultimately possible due to his being linked to Annatar/Mairon. Having joined his fea with that of a maia he was able to accidentally pull on latent power and unintentionally pull the Ring Babies into forming physically.
My thought has been that while he was forming them he was thinking of their potential bearers, who he meant to gift them too once he was done, and these thoughts mixing with the Magic helped shape something of the base of the Ring Babies personalities and appearances. Hence Nenya looks and acts something like Galadriel, Vilya looks and acts something like Gil Galad, and Narya looks and acts something like Annatar (my own personal headcanon for who Narya was intented for). But these are only baselines, the Babies grow and change as they learn and their own distinct personalities come thru as they do, they're not just younger copies of their bearers.
I think what made them manifest ad children was both Tyelpe's thoughts about wanting a family of his own, and his desire to have his rings help heal and bring back something of the joy and hopefulness of youth unspoiled by war and tragedy to the people he meant to give the rings too. He wanted them (the rings) to be able to give a new life and energy and optimism to the wearers, as part of his vision of helping to heal Arda and its people from the ravages of the Wars.
And all that mixed together with unrealized Maiar creation magics and--instant fatherhood. (Well, sort of instant. The babies took about a year to fully physically form around their ring cores, giving a confused/frantic/excited Tyelpe time to get a nursery and everything ready for them as he watched them solidify xD )
As for when Annatar confesses to him, well it depends on what sort of storyline I want to play with. In the All is Well and Happy timeline (which would probably be the main one I deal with) Mairon properly reformed and confessed long before they started making the rings, so he has no diabolical plans in mind, they can just be surprised and happy fathers together.
In a more complicated timeline he hasn't yet confessed at this point though he is pretty much getting pulling by his feelings to reform, and the babies accidental creation both heightens and complicats this, as he wants to confess all and properly change to be with Tyelpe and their children but he's worried he's left it off too long by now.
Bad timeline (though still with a possibility for a happy ending if Mairon can get thru his on hubris to get his act together ) is he hasn't confessed at all and doesn't find out the the Rings he sensed in Mordor as he put on The One are children until he's marched on Eregion and finds Celebrimbor trying to flee with three small children. (If he manages to get himself thru a Redemption arc in this Tyelpe finds a way to reverse engineer the Ring Baby process, uses it on The One Ring so Mairon isn't destroyed and it becomes their youngest baby Malya)
Worst/most canon adjacent/(star wars-y) timeline, Tyelpe sends the Babies off to their different bearers for safety, is captured and ultimately dies without revealing their location or that they've become people. They grow up in the care of their bearers, play their parts in the downfall of Sauron (either as people or shifting into rings and back) and ultimately reunite with Celebrimbor in Valinor.
(Worsest Timline Sauron captures them and Tyelpe and tries to corrupt the babies to his purposes. @trashipsinc has written an excellent one shot about this 👌)

Would you mind for a prompt drawing Celebrimbor with one of the Ring Babies? Whichever one you like!
I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW, THAT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS WAS ABOUT AND THAT UPSET ME vsdlkcjaklxdas. I was like... is this a manner of speech? Are you calling the rings babies cause their precious? So I had to look it up, and the concept is admittedly absurdly cute, but I still stand by the fact that I knew nothing of this XD
This is Nenya, I looked at the picture of Galadriel's ring intensely until I started to imagine a kid hehe. 8And of course, because I'm a Thingol slut and this same concept can be applied to the Silmarils and Thingol already proved himself adopting material I was like "Oh yes, an extra child for my boy." but that's neither here nor there).
Also also, I really liked how Celebrimbor turned out? I had never drawn him, but yes, he is nice to look at <3. Thanks for the ask friend!

Would you be willing to do fluff 20/22 for the Ring Babies? You decide who's surprised at their presence x)
Oh this is brilliant
From this prompt list.
20 - “Where did all these children come from?”
22 - “That’s a baby.”
“Cousin Elrond!” Celebrimbor exclaims brightly, adjusting the baby on his hip as he turns abruptly from the elf he is talking to and hurries down the steps. “You’re here early! We weren’t expecting you or Gil for another week yet.”
Elrond blinks at him, never quite ready for his cousin’s…exuberance. “That’s a baby,” he says, forgoing any greeting.
“Yes, this is Malya - say hello to your cousin Elrond, Malya.”
Malya, apparently, does not want to do this and buries her face into the fabric of Celebrimbor’s tunic.
This, in fact, makes Elrond just a bit more confused. Who was this child? Was she Celebrimbor’s child?
He shakes his head. That is, of course, ridiculous - Celebrimbor isn’t married.
A young girl bursts out of the doors at the top of the stairs, startling quite a few people milling around, and half runs, half leaps her way down towards them.
“Atto!” She exclaims, coming to a skidding halt and ignoring the fact that Elrond is standing right there. “Atya says that a bird just arrived from Aunty Galadriel. It won’t let him take the letter so he needs you.” She nods seriously. “The bird keeps attacking him.”
Celebrimbor makes a face. “Your aunt needs to find better carrier birds.” He laughs, apparently to himself. “Thank you for telling me. Now, Nenya, run up and tell your father that I will there momentarily and try and get the bird under control. And Vilya,” he turns to a pair of boys who appeared without Elrond noticing. “can you and Narya please find Fenordh and tell xem that the king’s herald arrived earlier than expected?”
As quickly as they came, they disappear again, Nenya with her head held high and with a great air of importance about her which doesn’t quite fit with her childish countenance and Vilya chasing his brother.
“Sorry about that, Galadriel still doesn’t like Mai even though I explained that he’s not evil and he doesn’t want to kill me.” Celebrimbor grins brightly at Elrond, adjusting Malya’s position on his hip.
“Mai?” Elrond asks, trying to work out whatever it is that’s going on.
“Annatar,” Celebrimbor explains as if Elrond should know this. “Mairon is another of his names.”
“Mairon…” Elrond says weakly, the name sparking uncomfortable familiarity. “You…”
“Atto!” Narya calls, leaning over the fence of a balcony about three floors above. Celebrimbor turns, shielding his eyes with his hand, distractedly letting Malya go when she wiggles to get down. “Atya says that the bird has destroyed the linen cupboard!”
“Oh Eru,” Celebrimbor mutters and calls up to his daughter that he will be there in a moment and to try and get the bird to calm down.
Seemingly forgetting all about Malya and Elrond, he runs up the stairs and disappears into the main building.
Someone tugs on the edge of his tunic.
"'Rond," Malya mumbles, looking up at him with wide eyes, "'m hungry."
Elrond blinks down at her, entirely unsure what to do with this child. "Well then, we should probably...have some food."
He digs around in his pocket a moment, trying to remember if he had pocketed any of the dried fruit from his last meal. He doesn't find any but he does find a bag of dried seaweed that he doesn't remember packing but he supposes is good enough as food.
So with Malya happily eating that on her place on his hip, they venture further into the palace.
She will undoutbedly just be happy to see her fathers but Elrond has a lot of questions and he very much needs them answered.
