With the decision to make this about werewolves, I've decided to keep it disconnected from my other werewolf universe, which means new rules! So now, the wolves are in three categories: alphas (aka just the protector pair), born wolves, and bitten wolves. Alphas have red eyes when they shift (as is traditional), born wolves' eyes turn white when they shift, and bitten wolves' eyes go black! Other than that and how much control they have over the shift, there's generally not a huge amount of difference between each group -- except for societal expectations and beliefs from other wolves :)

It's weird (and bothers me abit) that he has the same name with one of the Amal 3 Triplets, Aziz, Akhbar, ALAM. (I know it's common for Muslims to have the same name, despite not being related. I know this I'm Muslim myself- But, they could have pick a different name to differentiate from each other- 😭)

To fix this issues, I'll just call (and Headcanon-) the Amal 3's with their Trio Name- "Aziz Amal", "Akhbar Amal", "ALAM Amal". THERE!!

(Speaking about the Amal 3, PLEASE EXCUSE ME AS I RAMBLE ABIT ABOUT THE AMAL 3-)

I got 2 headcanons where the name "AMAL" in 'Amal 3' came from. It's HEAVILY IMPLIED in "Three's a Crowd S2E6" that the triplets were orphans when they were little, so here's what I came up with:

First headcanon is that Amal is their fathers name. Their parent(s) have passed when young, and rely on each other to survive. (Usually when it comes with Muslim Names, a child always takes up their fathers name as their last name. EXAMPLE: "Muhammad Aziz Bin Amal Rahim." (There's more to the Muslim Naming System, but for the sake of clarity, I'll only mention the 'Father's name as Last Name'-))

(Or.. maybe they were abandon since VERY YOUNG like 3-5 years old, or worst, at birth- that being said: ) Second (alternative) headcanon is that when young they saw a popular celebrity billboard on their area, with the name 'Amal', and decided to name their trio that- LMAO They name themselves 'The Amal 3' since young because to remind one another that they wouldn't get separate from each other. Despite they have little, they have each other.

(I'll stop here- I don't want to ramble too much here. I'll make a separate post dedicated towards The 3 Amal and Zoom Zahir if have time-)

I FW THIS GUY!!! listen, the hairstyle is another story. but i personally love the sultans. i think other than IU, they're the other team that i really like. praying for that season 8 just for more sultans content. also its so minor but i love the fact him and the other guys just did not vibe w duval in “t’omb it may concern” like yeah, never trust a tall white man!!!

also im pretty sure it was this episode that actually made me really like them. probably because they had more than one line LMAOOO please moonbug if you hear me i want more sultans content 😭🙏

as for what i think he’s like. i think in general the sultans are pretty chill but a bit clique-y. like they’re a bit more exclusive and don’t vibe well with new members. and as far as i know, never mess with people who can exercise in 40 degree heat. that is INSANE. he can play and he can play GOOD. half the time i don’t even think they need to sabotage other teams, but they just do it because they have the money to fuck around.

i know it’s probably an animation thing but you notice how they don’t show up to super league events or participate in challenges like “your latest trick”. i just like the idea that they’re too good for it and would rather bathe in luxury than entertain people w clownery (sorry to the rest of the guys)

+ on that note abt the sultans, can someone find the name of THIS guy??? i am obsessed with his design and wanna see more of him

Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for tagging me! If you’ve done so recently, know that I appreciate you and was probably not alerted (sorry if I missed any!) HOWEVER, I did catch a questionnaire tag here from @willtheweaver ! Thank you for the tag! 💛✨

I’ve written some progress from ITROG, and I’d figure I’ll share a little more of Tyrell’s personality through these questions. Stick around for a story snippet at the end 💫

My questions:

1. What would it take for you to forgive someone who wronged you?

Tyrell: (snorts in a sneer) Hel if I know. Usually if someone crosses me, they’re not comin’ back into my good graces anytime soon.

2. You are given the chance to resurrect someone you loved for 24 hours. Would you do it?

Tyrell: Já, of course I would! Who wouldn’t? Odin’s blessing, I’d keep móðir alive a lot longer if I had the chance.

3. What is the one job you don’t want?

Tyrell: Probably being second in command to a man like Bartok….ugh, nei. Someone with a stick shoved that far up their own ass would be tastin’ tree bark on their tonsils. Nei, þǫkk.

On the route to the food storage, Bartok snickered over his shoulder: “What’s wrong with yer sonr? Did he have another faint?”

“That’s none of your business.” Stefan answered curtly.

The warrior whistled through his teeth. “Ah, it’s a shame….you aren’t thinking of enlisting him in the Ursyne Trials, are ya’?”

“Haven’t decided yet.”

“Ya’ can’t be serious, Chief.” Bartok scoffed. “Imagine: Tyrell climbs up Feldin’s Peak, and halfway his heart gives out….”

“…..” Stefan ground his teeth in silent seething.

“…..Or when he has to duck under the icy wake. If the cold isn’t enough to shock his system to shutdown, the faint’ll due him to drown 30 deep until his skin’s the color of a Frost Jötunn—”

“—Enough, Bartok! Must you be so descriptive about my SON?!” The viking chief lashed out. “And keep those Hel-forsaken demons off of your lips before I sew them shut with runic thread.”

A nervous laugh crested Bartok’s voice “My apologies, chief. I don’t mean to rattle you. Only meant to warn….” He shrugged in nonchalance. “…..I’d be rightfully worried, though. These trials are no joke.”

“I know. They’re to train warriors—the strongest to lead the Bear Clan…..” Stefan nodded in conviction. “…..of which my son shows heart.”

My Rush Whumptober fic is almost complete which means I'm ready to start posting it without the fear of stalling and leaving it unfinished. This is the first bit of chapter 3!

Rush didn't know how much time passed, barely aware of the pain ebbing and Young finally rising from his seat to pace the confined space like the animal-in-a-cage he so often revealed himself to be. Rush wondered what brutality the man had suffered for his default behaviour to be to bite anyone who dared to venture too close, and why the hell Rush kept falling for the feigned placidity and regret?

And tbh I picture Melike as a total waterbaby (conceived in an alley by the river canal, spends a majority of her In-Mummy's-Tummy time traveling the sea, her mother nearly drowns at one point, all Mel does during her pregnancy is basically paint seascapes, her nursery is full of ocean motifs, her dad is basically a sharkman on two legs etc).

By her early days, she's delighted to be around water. Definitely one of those rare bbs who begins giggling rather than bawling during bathtime, and by age one is already merrily splashing her way through the kiddy pool, with her belly balanced carefully on Daddy's palm as he encourages her to kick and stay afloat<3

Elden Ring is anti-war propaganda that is directly relevant to things happening in the world right now.

All the spoilers. All of them. And additional content warning for discussions of genocide and war, and mentions of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.

Also big thank you to @starofancunin for asking a really good question about Queen Marika's motivations, which helped me better structure some of this post.

So in the base game, we knew that God Queen Marika committed a bunch of atrocities against other races. We thought this was just a bid for control in the base game, because lords war--even in our world--over things like power and territory and resources and racism. That was a perfectly fine motivation from a story perspective. But there were a lot of lingering questions about why she wanted that power in the first place.

What we learned in the DLC is wild. At some point in your wanderings, you come across where Marika is from. And you learn that the people she started her war against--the Hornsent--were killing her people first in really awful, gruesome ways. Her genocide seems to have followed another genocide.

So the order of events seems to be something like this:

1) The original sin Hornsent genocide Shamans (Marika's people) in the form of Jar rituals.

2) Marika's first choice Marika, tired of death, decides to seize control to stop this and sets off to become powerful enough to do so.

3) Marika's ascension She becomes a god and returns home to take control.

4) Death of the Shamans While she was away, all of the Shamans--all of her people--have been killed, kidnapped, or gruesomely tortured. The game tells us no one is left in her home town when she gets back.

5) Marika's second choice She decides on revenge instead.

6) The war of revenge begins Marika starts a war against the Hornsent, and brainwashes (at least some of) her children into soldiers to help her carry it out.

7) The war's sphere of violence grows The war doesn't end once Marika (or rather, her child on her behalf) has decimated the Hornsent. She starts decimating a bunch of other nonhumans (e.g. misbegotten) most likely in a bid to maintain control and "order" (that word you keep using, Marika...I do not think it means what you think it means). Because of course people are rebelling against what she's doing. And if they rebel, they need to be quelled, right? They're disrupting law and order and must be put down. It doesn't matter whether their dissent is a direct response to her violence; it's disorderly and must be controlled, of course.

8) Marika reverses course A long time later, Marika comes to eventually regret what she's done, likely due to the fact that her own children are either in the act of rebelling (see Ranni, Rykard, Mohg, Melina, Miquella) or are outright killed (Godwyn). The part of her personality that was always about healing--the part of her that bathed her (empty) village in gold healing light as a passionate tribute--reasserts control. So she forms a 4D chess plan to try to overthrow her own order. This is the base game's story in which the PC is tasked with stopping this nonsense on her behalf, since she can't do it herself for Plot Reasons.

9) The PC sets out to stop a new cycle of violence Either after or during that storyline (depending on player timing), the PC is sent to the realm Marika came from to learn all the history in 1-7 and stop another threat from repeating her mistakes (even if the big bad is probably, maybe, technically well-intended).

So at the end of the day, Elden Ring criticizes the idea that genocide (or just plain war) as a "solution" to a past genocide isn't going to work, but rather will just perpetuate a cycle of blood. Marika's people had something absolutely fucked up happen to them, yes. But genociding them back didn't bring her people back. In fact, it directly led to a bunch more violence against (what became) her (new) people and other previously uninvolved races.

Someone characterized Elden Ring's cycle as "An endless trail of old women weeping over the bodies of their dead children", and yes. It's a good statement about the game, but also about cycles of violence. We know Marika wept over her murdered village. Subsequent to that, we meet Grandam in Belurat weeping over her people. And finally we see Marika weeping over her dead child in the base game.

I am immediately reminded of parallels to how Israel is reacting to Palestine. The story was written before the most recent events, so I don't think that's intentional; rather, I think it's just that war follows the same old predictable patterns.

I hear a lot of people suggest that Israel is wholly in the right in the most recent assaults because they were "attacked first" (and sure, they were, if we arbitrarily start counting from 2023), and that therefore their retaliatory genocide is okay. The point, though, is that it's not an actual solution and probably much more complicated than that. Genociding back someone who attacked you (even multiple times) isn't actually a solution in our world, just like it's not a solution to Marika's problems. Such violence doesn't bring their lost children back, and it doesn't lead itself towards a true peace (or "true order" in Golden Order lingo). If anything, it breeds more bad blood and more violence--and we see that play out in the DLC where one of the surviving Hornsent literally sets out to get revenge again, starting a 3rd cycle of violence.

In fact, the long-standing oppression of an underclass of people followed by a vengeful genocide is more likely to make them rebel with violence than to join you--as we have seen play out both in the game and in Palestine's relationship to Israel. Would people actually be attracted to Hamas's violence were there not decades of discriminatory policies against Palestine? It's worth asking. After all, most people are not violent by nature, but by circumstance.

The PC's job in Elden Ring is literally to try to find a solution, in the form of 1 of 6 endings. And I find it fascinating that the default ending where you do nothing but seize power in your own name is called the "Age of Fracture" and hints that nothing has really changed except that you're in charge now. The world is still fractured. No one is unified. Violence is still going to happen under your (lazy) watch, because you predicated your reign on violence--just like Marika. It suggests that if you don't actually come up with a creative solution to the problem to ensure everyone is treated like humans (or sentient beings anyway), then the PC themself is also perpetuating the same cycle of violence in the name of power or "order". It directly criticizes revenge substituted for restorative justice as a means to peace.

No, I do not know the solution to Palestine and Israel, because I am not some brilliant political scholar. Nor did I know what the "best" ending would be for Elden Ring. Breaking the cycle of violence is *incredibly challenging*, and I'm not the scholar to do it. I'm just some gamer seeing parallels in this magnificent work of fiction to our world, and think its criticisms are timely, relevant, and well-constructed.

“No, I heard you,” she said, eyeballing him. “I’m just trying to decide if you’re serious or not. Or if you’re mentally sound.”

“If you were going to murder someone in this town, how would you do it? It’s a personality question, you understand. I’m just trying to get a sense. It’s hypothetical.”

“Thank you,” Sutton chirped and followed Michael out. “Do you think she thinks I’m your homeless ragamuffin orphan?”

“I have no money,” Sutton told him. “Not like, more than thirty bucks. And you can’t go to my mom for it because we’re here to see if she and Nick are compatible and should get married and live together forever and I can’t be a problem, not now, not when things are going so good. She’ll kill me, and then she’ll leave Nick and I’ll be the ruination of her happiness. Again, probably.”

“Yeesh, is this an interrogation or something? Where’s my lawyer?”

“I have never,” Sutton repeated. “Held a hammer before.”

“I’m right here,” Sutton said blankly. “And I need mom not to know what I did ever, so can you two put down your measuring tapes for one moment? It’s cool if your dicks are the same size.”

Sutton sighed. “Siblings,” she said, like she couldn’t imagine it.

“Ha,” Sutton said, getting up to get forks. “Say, why is my mom doing all the cooking anyways? You only love her for her womanly skills?”

“Michael doesn’t know any girls,” Sutton said, ruining Michael’s good opinion of her in one blow. “So how on earth could he have any of their phone numbers?”

“Relax,” Sutton said. “I’m trying to compliment your back muscles. Very impressive. Ten out of ten.”

“That’s what that means, you stupid goof.” Sutton ground out. But her irritation didn’t last. “Do you know, I tried to train myself to write with my left hand once?”

“You’d better come back, when you’ve had your fill of Jacob’s dirty laundry,” Sutton told him through the door. “Because I won’t let you leave me with another hole in my stomach, Michael Bradley. I won’t allow it at all.”

“Good,” Sutton said, and then added just to make her mad, “Can we clear about before the cops find us in here?”

That is. All deeply horrifying. Pointing out misinformation is what I do, though, albeit usually about history.

And while I shouldn't have to say this in a post that's explicitly about antisemitism and the co-opting of concern for Palestine to promote it:

I do not support the Israeli government's current actions in Palestine. I think they are appalling. I think they're akin to responding to a murderer using a child as a shield by shooting the child point-blank, and that's unacceptable. This must stop. Palestinian people are being killed indiscriminately and the international community must stand up and say "no." The only thing with the word "Zion" in it that I understand well enough to have an opinion on it is Cotton Mather's "Ornaments of the Daughters of Zion" (1692, unrelated to the Levant or Judaism), but I know that killing innocents on this scale is wrong. I also think my own country, the US, should not be supplying Israel with weapons.

Clear? Hopefully so.

I'm not sure I'd agree with every view expressed by every person linked in this post, buyt that's no excuse for some of the treatment they're getting. Most of what I've seen in my orbit has been people expressing support for the Houthis- perhaps without realizing (gods, I hope so) that the Houthis are a violently antisemitic terrorist group with the slogan "a curse upon the Jews," and are currently attacking ships unrelated to Israel. I feel like some bigoted people are taking advantage of the compassion and outrage of others to lead them down really horrible ideological paths. There are some online activist types who are led more by Vibes than research, and that's a problem when a lot of misinformation seems to confirm what they're already feeling.

The Palestinian activist whose words you linked used a phrase that stands out to me: "resistance porn." That seems an apt term for people who want to assign Good Guys and Bad Guys in this conflict wholesale, rather than recognizing it as two pretty horrible leading groups- the Israeli government and Hamas -catching innocent civilians on both sides in the crossfire. This is not a YA dystopia novel. You cannot just hate every single person on or associated with one side here, or laud every single person on the other side as a bold freedom fighter.

It's just. Like. How the hell does this go so awry from the very noble, correct, and necessary goal of Stopping The Slaughter Of Innocent People? How do the monsters using people's compassion to advance hateful agendas sleep at night?

I don't know. I'm just reminded of the folks who care more about The RevolutionTM than making actual positive change right now, but with bonus antisemitism.

“Outdoors suck. Would rather stay inside. Gym is inside. Books are inside. Why bother dealing with outside?’

“Have a poodle named Jolene. No, we didn't style her hair. She's perfect as is.”

What's one thing you keep on you at all times?

“... Did you know that the last thing you think about before you fall asleep is the first thing you remember in the morning? So the night before a big test, study right before going to bed! That'll keep you up at night.”

#2- Raissa

Do you have any weird or unusual habits?

“Absolutely not. There is nothing weird about me. Though John complains about me sighing too much. He once said I breathe out more air than I breathe in.”

Are you a night owl or a morning bird?

“These are ridiculous Ceteri phrases that make no sense. But my answer is neither, or both. You decide how to interpret it. I have devised a daily potion that allows me to properly function on a mere five hours of sleep, rather than the eight most people need. I'm up early and late. Now, if only I can get my team to help find a way to eliminate sleep altogether...”

Who is the person you hate the most? Why?

“Atsila McLain would be such an easy answer. And I can tell you want me to say her. But no. She was merely annoying. I try to avoid thinking about her Aequales as long as I can. She thought of us as nemeses, but it was one-sided on her part. But maybe if she stopped trying to take what was rightfully mine, I would stop. She never experienced anything I did. And in the name of peace? She was an awful person. It was a relief when I killed her.”

#3- Atsila

What are your biggest pet peeves?

“Oh, spirits, I hate when people aren't doing what they're supposed to do at the speed they should do it. I mean, how hard is it to adhere to a schedule and complete your tasks in an efficient manner? I don't understand it! I tell people to do something, and they don't do it! Or, they do it in the least efficient way I've ever seen. Even something as simple as walking. Walk diagonally to get somewhere faster. No need to stay on a certain path. But no it seems like every other person here is staying on the path.”

Who is the person you look up to the most?

“I don't look up to anyone. Literally, I suppose, everyone--I am rather short. Figuratively, no one. I suppose Carmen is rather efficient. And organized. She's highly intelligent and... She listens to me. I admire her loyalty and companionship.”

Do you have any major fears?

“Absolutely not. [Pause] I suppose boredom. Mediocrity.” if I may add - it's because she's terrified at the state she'll be in if something isn't going on Right Now

Do you have any allergies?

“I think this is a personal question. I mean, what kinda questionnaire is it? Would rather not answer it. But ekaberries. I break out in hives if I eat it.”

How many people have you kissed?

“Not as many as I'd like, but I'm only twelve, so I'll probably kiss a few girls before long.”

“My favorite number is 63. I find it incredibly satisfying knowing it's divisible by 7. 91 is a close contender for the same reason.”
