I hope you're having a good day - it's really cold where I'm living today! It was -1.5 C this morning, but the wind made it feel like -6 🥶 Its gonna just keep getting colder and colder. Which one of the 141 would you most prefer getting stuck with in cold weather? Who runs the hottest? Who would take the most pleasure in putting their cold hands on your stomach or back?

How do you feel about the cold? What's your preferred temperature? I like the cold, but the wind kills me! It's very common for Midwesterners to talk about winter weather and say, "It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the wind!"

oh boy. i do not handle being cold well. i'm lucky that i live in a milder climate in the northern hemisphere but i still struggle when the outside temperature dips below 5*C (that's 41 Freedom Units *F).

honestly my perfect temperature is somewhere between 18*C-22*C (64*F-71*F) but in winter i'll take 10*C (50*F).

as for the 141 i like to think that the order of cold weather tolerance from "would wear shorts in -5*C" to "if you turn that thermostat below 18*C and i'll peg you out on the washing line" goes: soap, price, gaz, ghost.

i'll explain below the cut.

(trigger warnings for a brief mention of calorie counting in gaz's headcanon and poverty/childhood neglect in ghost's headcanon)

soap tolerates the cold the best as a native scot. he automatically factors windchill into outside temperatures and thrives in the cold. however he will quote still game when it is icy outside, you've been warned.

price in my headcanons is a liver bird so he's alright with a chilly temperature. plus, he has the facial furnishings to ignore jack frost nipping at his nose for longer than wise. also i just like the idea of price packing on some winter weight to counteract the cold like a bear. (hat tip to @/ceilidho for the glorious fic "landscape in honey" for the visuals there)

gaz will tolerate cold but he's not happy about it. i like to think gaz factors in how many extra calories he'll need to eat to keep his macros perfect when the temperature dips. i wouldn't say it's a problem but he's well aware that to maintain his baseline and not go into a caloric deficit he needs to up his protein and carb intake.

ghost doesn't tolerate cold. he might've been born and raised in manchester but i think the cold fucks with his head. he spent too many years huddled up with his brother in all the clothes he could fit on his body under a shitty duvet when the gas meter was out of emergency credit to ever be happy when it gets cold.

and now i'll answer your other questions!

Which one of the 141 would you most prefer getting stuck with in cold weather?

hands down the answer is gaz. he's not going to tell me that "it isnae cold!" like soap or shut down emotionally like ghost and i won't have the patience to listen to price tell me to put on another layer. plus i want to snuggle up with gaz to "retain body heat" and if we happen to need to get naked because skin to skin contact is the best thing to counteract hypothermia? whoopsies there go my pants.

Who runs the hottest?

ghost or price. the amount of body mass and layering these men do would mean they run the warmest. i'm not saying gaz and soap are delicate flowers but i am saying that they prefer having abs over a healthy layer of fat. in fact, just sandwich me between ghost and price when it dips below 10*C.

Who would take the most pleasure in putting their cold hands on your stomach or back?

soap. and i'd strangle him. jokes on me though, he's into that shit.

honestly i LOVED the our skyy episodes like i know im terribly biased, but out of all the ones we got until now i think the plot for vice versa felt the most organic and coherent to the characters and their journey. once again everyone involved in the show put so much care and attention into it, and jimmysea have such a natural easy chemistry to them, they sell the lovesick fools who have been married for five years SO WELL. IDK IF I CAN PICK ONLY 3 FAVORITE MOMENTS BECAUSE THEY WERE ALL SO GOOD BUT LET ME TRY:

1) the beach scene. IRREVOCABLY CHANGED ME MY LIFE MY PERSPECTIVE THE FOUNDATION OF MY PERSONHOOD THE BIOCHEMISTRY OF MY BRAIN AND THE ENTIRE MAKE UP OF MY BEING ON AN INTRINSIC MOLECULAR LEVEL. AGAIN. i haven't even begun to process A QUARTER of the insane amount of parallels they managed to pack in just 3 minutes of screentime and how, by doing that, they were able to show just how far puentalay have come in their journey: from strangers to lovers, from a one sided drunk kiss to a passionate yet tender mutual kiss, from a mouthed 'i like your name' to a mouthed 'i love you', from talay's life ending in the ocean to the ocean being the witness of his love, that same love he once thought was just an annoying distraction in the way to achieve his dreams and that now has become an essential color in the palette of his life..... literally made me experience every single emotion present on the spectrum of human consciousness, im gonna need a 2 weeks long vacation in a controlled environment to decompress and recover from the sheer high romance and the whole entire everything of it all

also not to toot my own horn but i love being correct and never losing:

2) both the birthday conversation and the drawing one. SORRY I KNOW IM CHEATING BUT I JUST CAN'T CHOOSE BETWEEN THESE TWO MOMENTS. WHEN I SAY PUENTALAY INVENTED COMMUNICATION UNDERSTANDING CARE LOVE SUPPORT!!!!!!!! im not mentally stable enough to be coherent about this but like.. one of the reasons i adore puentalay is that since the beginning they have always been willing to try to understand each other. no relationship comes without misunderstandings or conflicts, they're always bound to happen from time to time because we're all different and we all react to things in different ways, but what matters the most is the way you can come together after that to face the issue and make it better. i feel like people often have this idealized vision of love where everything must be perfect and passionate and all-consuming, but i believe love is actively choosing to share your life with someone every day as you help each other navigate through it and enjoy the quiet moments together, and i think these two conversations show that puen and talay have this kind of love, a love that will last forever because whatever happens being together is the most important thing for them

3) puentalay and jigsaw sleeping in the same bed. LITERALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU EXCEPT THAT I PERSONALLY DON'T EVEN WANT KIDS BUT SEEING PUEN AND TALAY BEING SO TENDER WITH JIGSAW AND REARRANGING THEIR LIFE TO MAKE SPACE FOR HIM HAD ME LYING IN THE DIRT SOBBING FOR SEVERAL HOURS TO CLIMB DOWN FROM THE SUGAR HIGH THIS SCENE GAVE ME WITH ITS SWEETNESS. it also reminded me a little of the scene in episode 6 when talay admits everything he has missed about puen: talay has always been more rational and reserved with his emotions compared to puen, but it's in quiet moments like these that you can see how deeply his feelings actually run. both puen and talay have so much love to give and one day, when they will be ready, they're gonna have a kid of their own and expand their family, and this knowledge is gonna MAKE ME DIE HAPPY AND IN PEACE

You enter Julie's house, hoping you're not late for her party. Almost everyone is there but luckily there is one seat left open, you sit down and glance over to Wally who is sitting next to you. Mentally you are over the moon being able to sit next to him, you for sure had a crush on him and you weren't sure but it seemed like maybe he felt the same way? You just hadn't gotten up the confidence to make a move yet.

"Y/N you're looking lovely today," Wally says. You smile and begin to respond but you suddenly hear Julie call out your name from the kitchen, she needs help bringing the food out to everyone. You head into the kitchen and help to bring a few trays out, you set them on a table in the living room and turn around to find your seat once again and oh...Poppy has arrived and has taken your seat! You look around dismayed, there are no seats left.

"Y/N! Here, sit with me." Wally exclaimed, you walk over and he pats his lap. You then realize he meant sitting ON him which secretly gives you a thrill but you don't want to seem overly excited, still not sure about Wally's intentions. "You're so warm Y/N, I should ask you to sit in my lap more often. It's...nice."

"Um, thanks Wally," you say with a small laugh. You join in the conversations with the rest of the group when you begin to feel a hand softly running up and down your back. You turn your head back to look at Wally, your eyes meeting his. You're surprised to see how big his dark eyes had become, you find yourself not being able to look away. You feel the heat in your body rising like you're on fire and you bite your lip but still cannot tear your eyes away. You have no idea how long you were stuck in this staring contest but you manage to blink and Wally lets out a content sigh, his eyes now have a heavy-lidded, dreamy look to them.

This moment between the two of you is interrupted when you overhear Frank make a sarcastic remark involving the two of you needing to get a room. You try to snap yourself out of the embarrassment and join the rest of the group.

Soon the party is over and you hug everyone goodbye. You walk up to Wally last and give him a hug, he seems to hold you a little tighter then usual and whispers into your ear, "You know, Frank's idea might not be so bad...."
