💯❤️😊 for kaija please!
💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL: share three random facts about your OC that others may not know
-Loves to have her hair touched and played with, as well as playing with other people's, should they allow it.
-She really, really likes dancing, but never had the chance to properly learn. At least until the Crusades. I like to think that, after retaking Drezen & during their small yet precious pockets of free time, she talks her companions into teaching her whatever dances they know. Seelah and Sosiel would for sure; Daeran, too, although he would certainly be an ass about it at first, but Kaija just finds it amusing.
-Not sure if this counts as a fact, but it's a little headcanon that has been bouncing around in my mind for a while now: after the events of WOTR and once she is properly settled as the ruler of Drezen, she opens her own brewery. (Meant to be a hobby and nothing but, mind you—she neither wants nor expects to turn that into an actual job, especially taking into account how much she's got on her plate already.) Her first attempts at brewing… make for adequate poisons, to put it diplomatically, but with time she does get pretty good at it!
❤️ RED HEART: what are three of your OC's positive traits?
-Exceedingly clever and resourceful, to the point where her smarts are probably the main reason why her Crusade is successful. Like, sure, having mythic powers—at least for a while—helps, but in the end the one thing that keeps the Crusade afloat is Kaija's intelligence. That's not to say Galfrey or any previous Knight-Commanders weren't intelligent, but Kaija has a way of seeing things that turns the Crusade upside-down. She's calculating, she thinks outside the box, she brings a new and refreshing strategic perspective that works surprisingly well... etc, etc.
-Very brave, which is a wonderful positive trait to have when you're your universe's equivalent of Doomguy. This bitch does not have a single fearful bone in her body. She gets hit with a Fear spell and goes "lol. lmao even" and shakes it off.
-I was about to say "loyal", but… her loyalty can be both a positive and negative trait, really, given some of the people she's loyal to cough Camellia cough so instead I will say that she is a lot of fun! In that respect she is precisely the kind of person you want around when the world is burning down and going to shit on account of all the demons and ghouls and gargoyles and assorted terrible beasties—the Crusaders are having a large-scale mental breakdown & Kai is like "OKAYYYY GUYS TIME FOR THE #DEPRESSIONBASH" and manages to set up a party for everyone to enjoy and distract themselves. She has a lot in common with Seelah in this. The two of them together are very good at keeping up morale.
😊 SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES: what are your OC's career/general life desires? what do they want to get the most out of life?
Her main goal in life has always been "survive", closely followed by "enjoy myself as much as possible." She does mercenary work because she likes fighting and she has very little in the way of ethical qualms. You point and—as long as there's good coin involved—she punches. Doesn't get much easier than that. Simple, efficient, satisfying.
And she would've been more than happy to have things remain like that forever! In fact, even after becoming Knight-Commander of the Fifth Crusade there is no denying that she is very self-serving about it. She gets shit done, but she consistently chases after her own profit, her own gain; her one and only priority is to make sure she always comes out on top. She HAS to make sure that, after the Crusade is over, she has benefitted from it as much as possible. (In a material way, I mean. Kaija is undoubtedly a materialistic bastard.)
So… at first her career desires were not career desires as much as they were a vehicle through which she could achieve her general life desire of being So Filthy Rich, & then when she was shoved into the position of Knight-Commander she was like, "Might as well make the best out of this bitch of a situation!" and proceeded to steal Drezen from under Galfrey's nose. And NOW she's found that, huh, being the ruler of Drezen is actually much better than she'd thought it would be, maybe she'll keep it up long-term, not like anyone can do anything about it, & she gets all the luxury and comfort she'd been craving since she was a child while simultaneously having plenty of opportunities to go out and kill something with her Overpowered Mythic-Infused Besties and Boyfriend!
and also being the ruler of Drezen gives her the chance to provide a safe place for two of her overpowered mythic-infused besties (Arue and Daeran), & lets her share all that comfort and luxury with her boyfriend Woljif who coincidentally is also a big fan of comfort and luxury! and also also it doesn't hurt that her fucked up ex-girlfriend Camellia, whom she is still very much obsessed with despite any and all protests to the contrary, remembers their secret rendezvous spots and has been known to pop in for a visit every now and then, to their mutual delight AND detriment

Nightingales and Romeo and Juliet in Good Omens S2E6
I’ve been thinking about the many symbolisms of the nightingale since the end of S1, but especially since the whole “That’s the point. No nightingales” conversation between Crowley and Aziraphale at the end of S2. Nightingales feature in a lot of literary texts symbolizing a whole bunch of things, but I found this particularly interesting:
In Romeo and Juliet (you know, the play where two star-crossed lovers from rivalling families try to overcome all boundaries in the name of love), there is a scene (Act 3, Scene 5) where Romeo and Juliet have a conversation (or a little row/misunderstanding) about nightingales and larks. It is the night/morning after their secret marriage (!) and Romeo has to leave before the morning comes. Otherwise he will be in great danger as he might get caught by Juliet’s relatives. Juliet, who does not want him to leave yet, argues that the bird that they hear singing outside the window is a nightingale. Since nightingales sing by night, she hopes that this will convince Romeo that it is still night and thus make him stay a bit longer. Romeo, on the other hand, is convinced that it is a lark, a bird of dawn, that is singing, which would mean that he has to leave soon. When Romeo suddenly states that he does not care if he will be killed or not and that he wants to stay with Juliet, Juliet caves in and explains that the bird they hear is actually a lark and that Romeo has to flee.
So, a few things to point out here:
It is the night after their “secret marriage”
The nightingale is a night bird whose song indicates darkness and a world asleep, which protects forbidden love from being found out
Juliet does not want to face the harsh reality of the day approaching, which is why she tries to convince Romeo that they are hearing a nightingale while, in fact, a lark is singing, indicating danger
When her lover unexpectedly declares that he wants to stay with her, even at the risk of losing his own life, she tells the truth  in an attempt to usher him out to save his life
Okay, back to Good Omens:
It is the morning after The Dance™ (you know, the one Aziraphale organized only to be able to make a move on Crowley and dance with him; the one during which Crowley tried to open Aziraphale’s eyes to the dangerous situation they were in while Aziraphale refused to give up on his little fantasy-bubble of love and romance). Aziraphale tries to convince Crowley to go back to heaven with him. We don’t know exactly what went on in the conversation between him and the Metatron, but there was probably some threat involved, which means Aziraphale thinks that they will both be safe(r) in heaven. In a way, he is the Juliet in the situation, trying to make his Romeo stay/come with him by convincing him that the nightingale is still singing – that they can still be safe that way. Like the night before, he does not (or at least does not seem to) realize the danger they are in and will be in and that heaven will never let them be “an us”. He does not want to part with Crowley. Crowley, on the other hand, knows exactly that going to heaven is not an option for him and he understands that they are in danger. His statement, “that’s the point. No nightingales,” means that the protection of the metaphorical night, the indifference of heaven and hell concerning their situationship, is over, and that they can either flee together or have to part. Aziraphale, judging by his expression, seems to understand what Crowley is implying here. This seems to be where his parallels with Juliet end, since he does not agree with Crowley in the end. However, there is a version of events that would make his actions similar to Juliet’s in the end: Assuming that Aziraphale knows that one of the two options to keep Crowley safe(r) is out since he knows that Crowley will never agree to going back to heaven, his only other option is to ensure Crowley leaves without him (and without the impression that he needs to save Aziraphale and their relationship). He does this by driving him out if the bookshop.
In any case, the nightingale seems to symbolize the temporary safety of their forbidden love, and Crowley’s statement at the end signals the end of this precious period, and that they must part (for now).

I think romeo is an evil worm that makes his way into my head to scream his annoying word jumbles. I do not want to like him yet everytime I feel like drawing TD fanart, the only thing I can think of is drawing Romeo in increasingly chaotic or embarrassing situations. Like idk I want that man to suffer but not physically or anything too bad.. just like.. kick him down a peg Aaaanyways Romeo in da dress. The ponytails was impulse. I will not be shading this cuz I am LAZY !!!!!!

oh I wanna hear your takes on Romeo and Juliet what are the worst takes you've heard about it and why are they Wrong
thank you So much for asking
ok so. the general consensus that a lot of people seem to have about it is that romeo and juliet's relationship is ridiculous and doesn't make sense, because the notion of killing yourself over someone that you only met two or three days ago is nonsensical; however, what they need to understand is that these are two teenagers, one of which has basically no agency in her life in terms of her own relationships and the other of which is Heavily Implied To Be Deeply Depressed after the last person he liked dumped him.
for juliet, her relationship with romeo is something that she Can choose - yes, he's some random guy that she met at a party, but honestly? that's kind of the point - he is in no way something that her parents have forced upon her; he's entirely new to her, and that means that even her parents haven't got anything to do with him (other than the family feud, but she doesn't know that at first) - which means that she can choose him, freely, for herself, and that by extension any love she does have for him is her own choice, too - and to someone who has been told all their life what they should want, even just the opportunity to want something for yourself would probably be almost addictive.
now, for romeo, he's found this person who shines brighter than anything else has been able to for him in a Long time, and yeah, it sounds a bit cringey, but considering that Juliet is the first thing that's actually made him feel something in so long (again - it is basically all but explicitly stated that he was deeply depressed) it's perfectly understandable, to me at least, that he, a desperate teenager, would cling to this person who's allowing him a way out of the darkness as hard as he possibly can.
so when romeo thinks juliet - the one (1) thing that he has been able to find that gave him a way out of his depression - is dead, and he sees that way out slipping away from him, it's kind of understandable that he wouldn't want to resign himself to what his life was like before again, because he now Knows what it's like to be happy. and for juliet, when she sees that the symbol of her one independent act in life is dead, it's again understandable that she might have taken that as the death of her independence as a whole, as it's the only independence she's ever really had - and, same as romeo, now that she knew what life with freedom and agency was like, she might not have wanted to go back to what she had before.
am i saying that they acted rationally? no, i really don't think they did - but they were emotional teenagers who were desperately clinging onto the one freedom that they had found from their previous situations, so i don't think that their relationship was nearly as ridiculous or nonsensical as people make it out to be.
tl;dr - they're two dumb teenagers who lost their only way out.
