coming up with a fic where Tony is a ghost tethered to Gregory after GGY kills him and it's just Tony having watched Gregory be mind controlled and then free himself unknowingly and wake up with memory loss and survive a night at the pizzaplex all while Tony cant talk to him or even help him.

afterwards Tony finding out how to show himself as a ghost and Gregory seeing him and just being reminded of GGY and everything that happened and remembering it all and freaking out.

the idea of Tony being a ghost and stuck tethered to his killer + ex-friend but maybe hes actually good? and he doesn't know how to feel about it because as a detective he realizes that Gregory isnt himself while doing all of these things but also... Gregory killed him

In 2017, I watched “The Gang Tends Bar” as it aired live, and it’s all kind of a blur but I remember three things very clearly:

Sunnyblr was POPPING. To this day, I still see TGTB posts floating around with 10k notes and they are all still so fucking good. My beautiful relics of an absolutely insane time.

Airing A Crickets Tale that very next week is probably one of the most chaotic things that was happening to Tumblr at that time. We were all like, “Mmm, thanks for whatever that was, RCG! So yummy! Now can we have another helping of repressed middle-aged gay men?” and they said, “Okay, sure! Here’s more of that but make it foreboding,” and aired “Dennis’ Double Life” the very next week after THAT.

I didn’t sleep the night TGTB aired. I was a freshman in college and I went to class the next day and just stared at nothing during my lecture because I was so blown away by it. At 18, it was one of the most formative experiences I’ve ever had with television. Raw, emotional moments have always been so much more impactful to me in comedic shows. I still consider it one of the most romantic episodes of any show I’ve ever seen. I’m 25 now, and I have never forgotten the way I felt the first time I saw this episode. My life is entirely different now from February of 2017, but my feelings about TGTB are exactly the same if not intensified.

Bonus Big Feelings:

Once you’ve watched “Dennis’ Double Life,” TGTB reads so differently—it hurts so much more. Because you know how it ends for them and you never get closure. YOU NEVER GET CLOSURE.

Something about Glenn’s hair being outstandingly hot in S12 really brought everything together, that year + heightened the pining. He would do something and we’d all be like “ok work!”

Season 16 is the closest I’ve felt to Season 12 levels of deranged. I think this makes sense since S16, stylistically, reminds me the most of classic Sunny and somehow, also, every macden fic I’ve ever read.

I never had a good reference point for whether other people outside of Sunnyblr read that episode as incredibly queer, or Just Guys Being Dudes, but most of my comms class watched this show, and we were all foaming at the mouth talking about it the next day. Everyone was like, “Oh my god! It’s getting gayer! We won!”

Reflecting on where I was in life when TGTB, and when this most recent season aired, I can’t help but wonder where we’ll all be if they touch noses. Season 24 is our seasons guys.

TGTB&B Rewrite Scene 6

(Note: This is a rewrite of the AIO episode "The Good, The Bad, And Butch." The original episode dialogue was written by Marshal Younger. Any added/removed/altered dialogue and actions were written by me!)

Lucy Cunningham-Schultz was curious. She supposed she'd have to be, eventually, in order to become a professional reporter. Right now, however, around noon on a Sunday, she paced across Odyssey Community Church, puzzling. There had been some rumors going around, but she wanted proof. Confirmation from the source. And it seemed she'd get it. At that moment, Lucy watched a shaggy blond-haired boy walk into the room.

"Hey! Sam!"

Sam turned over his shoulder and waved. "Hi, Lucy!"

Lucy half-jogged over to Sam and started her interrogation. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

She continued. "The other day I saw you at Finneman's with Brian Evans."

"Butch," Sam pointed out to her.

"Whatever." Lucy pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose. She couldn't see why a name change would matter in a case like this. "What's going on? I mean, what were you doing with him?"

"Playing video games."

"I know, but... with Brian?"

Sam thought to correct her again, but decided against it. "So?"

"Well, he's... you know..." She made a motion with her hand.

"What?"

"He's with the Bones of Rath!"

Sam scoffed. "I know that."

"He's always getting into trouble. And he gets other people into trouble too."

Sam became defensive, and put a hand to his chest as a way of gesturing to himself. "I'm not causing any trouble, if that's what you mean."

"That's not what I mean. It's just that, we can't figure out why you're hanging around with him."

"'We'?"

"Us. The kids from church."

Sam noticed a small group of other kids, about his age, sitting at a table not too far away. He recognized some of them. He wondered if they were listening now.

"It's okay," Sam reassured as he glanced back to Lucy, "Tell everyone there's nothing to worry about."

"All right," she took a breath, "But he's tricky. Don't let him talk you into anything."

Sam laughed. "I won't."

Gregory always struck me as a very skeptical kind of kid, the kind of kid who rolls his eyes at the concepts of ghosts and magic

So it is very funny how he ends up at the very center of the mess of Fazbear Entertainment

I imagine him seeing Tony’s ghost for the very first time and going “Yup I lost my mind”

I can imagine him being neutral about it (tony is skeptical, ellis believes in ghosts and stuff like that so Greg's in the middle) and then when all of this stuff happens to him hes like ok. whatever. this happened I guess. oh look, theres Tony's ghost!

Expanding on the ghost salt thing,Gregory carries around bags of salt so when tony is spiraling and becoming detached in favor of thinking really hardly,Gregory just throws salt at him to get him back on earth.

It’s really weird when other people see it because to them it’s just this kid throwing salt at nothing.

I can imagine instances where Tony might fade/move on on accident when he doesnt want to and Gregory tosses some salt at him to ground him back

Guys have we considered on how Elis probably feels that something bad happened to BOTH his friends, Tony was either found dead or missing and Gregory is missing (his missing posters). Poor boy is probably upset that he lost 2 of his closest friends. Gregory and Elis reunion when! Tony can probably be there too as a ghost..

especially since Tony and Ellis have been friends since they were like 4!!! when everything's said and done they HAVE to go see Ellis

For the ghost tony stuff,I know that in mythology throwing salt at ghost is like really painful,but what if in the fnaf universe it’s just the equivalent of splashing a cat with water?

Gregory when Tony appears to him for the first time: *throwing salt at him* BACK FOUL BEAST!!! IM NOT THE ONE YOURE LOOKING FOR!!

Tony recoiling but still advancing: no-- Gregory-- its me-- STOP THAT!

Ngl, personal thoughts aside, I'm really loving the prompts and headcanons yer making in regards to the whole GGY bit. Especially the one involving Tiny possessing Gregory, and coming to terms that his bestie wasn't in control. TwT Though I have to wonder if Tony ever even met the real Gregory, or only knew the one that'd been brainwashed. OwO

Does that mean he befriended a brainwashed killer child?

I imagine Tony met Gregory while he was normal but then at some point during their friendship Gregory got glitchtrapped and Tony and Ellis just didnt notice. for Tony until it was too late
