coming up with a fic where Tony is a ghost tethered to Gregory after GGY kills him and it's just Tony having watched Gregory be mind controlled and then free himself unknowingly and wake up with memory loss and survive a night at the pizzaplex all while Tony cant talk to him or even help him.
afterwards Tony finding out how to show himself as a ghost and Gregory seeing him and just being reminded of GGY and everything that happened and remembering it all and freaking out.
the idea of Tony being a ghost and stuck tethered to his killer + ex-friend but maybe hes actually good? and he doesn't know how to feel about it because as a detective he realizes that Gregory isnt himself while doing all of these things but also... Gregory killed him

Gojo Saturo, cannot stand you moving on from him.
It makes him want to kill everyone that’s around him, it makes his head fucking explode, he didn’t want to break up
He didn’t want to be away from you, he didn’t want to lose you, but yet he did. He lost you. It was really his fault.
But how could you?
How could you even try to replace him?
Are you that stupid? He understood what a break meant, he was willing to give you a break, he was willing to work on himself. He was willing to do everything, but yet you had to ruin it all.
This was your doing
This wasn’t his fault. You made him do this.
You knew what kind of a man he was, Saturo was a jealous man, extremely possessive and territorial. Did you want to test his patience or were you just trying to make him suffer?
It did work though.
But he wasn’t the only one that suffered the consequences.
It was your current boyfriend too.
What a weak little man, he didn’t even come close to Gojo, your ex didn’t know that you had such bad taste in men. Looking at him almost made. Saturo laugh his ass off.
What a downgrade.
It was really easy though, Saturo didn’t even had to try hard to get rid of him, permanently.
And now he was gone.
And now Gojo is sitting here, hawking at you like a creep, well, you sleep peacefully in his bed, yeah, he kidnapped you.
He was an impulsive man. That was one of his many toxic traits.
He did whatever the fuck he wanted.
And also,
You look so pretty and peaceful like this just like the old times, he could look at you forever. Oh, how much he loves you.
Gojo leans in closer to your face and stares at your face, you look so cute. He wants to kiss you. His gaze travels to your lips and he sighs, his mouth is literally foaming.
He missed you way too much.
Gojo is so impatient, but he’s trying his best to not lose his control, he presses his lips, gently to yours and steals a peck.
“My princess…” he mumbles to himself, just then you start moving, maybe the spell is wearing off, thank God because you’ve been unconscious for a full day.
He was almost starting to get concerned
“hey Baby.” he smiles brightly as he watches you open your eyes, moving your body, so cutely- he finds everything you do, cute.
“W-What the fuck?” that’s the first thing you say, Gojo doesn’t stop smiling, his lips curl up even more, “yes you’re here in my home- no our home baby.” he quickly corrects himself.
“SATURO- WHAT THE FUCK?!” he watches you wince in pain, maybe the spell was too strong, he should’ve been more careful, but he was impatient.
“Shh.. you’re OK you’re safe..” this time he doesn’t even resist the urge to touch your skin, he caresses your forehead with his hands, your forehead is burning.
You have a fever, his smile dies down quick.
“you are burning YN…” should’ve been more careful, you are only a fragile human. Gojo feels guilt bubble up in his chest.
He doesn’t care about the clear panic in your face, you try to slap his hand away, but he doesn’t budge. “baby don’t try to do this right now..” he whispers.
“we’ll talk about this later. We have a lot to talk about anyways.”
“are you fucking insane? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?” he holds you down when you try to get up. Saturo rolls his eyes at your struggle.
He’s clearly getting pissed off.
“shut up YN. Yes I’m fucking insane because you tried to replace me. I’m going fucking insane. And that boyfriend of yours is dead… probably.”
Gojo doesn’t even get up from the seat, he glares at you, burning holes into your skin with his gaze.
“I’m fucking fuming. How could you, I was willing to give you space and that’s what you did to me? Immediately tried to replace me with that fucking loser?” he scoffs, and chuckles.
You open your mouth to argue, but he shuts you up, by holding his finger up on your lips, “like I said, shut the fuck up. You know what something I hate and love about you?”
Gojo clicks his tongue, looking at you with this cold blue eyes.
“I love and hate your fucking smart little mouth.”
Gojo caresses your cheek, his finger is feel so so hot on your skin, so soft under his touch.
“Too bad that I missed this pretty little mouth is so much..”
“I missed you way too much to argue like this. And just so you know, I do not regret kidnapping you. And I do not regret doing what I did to your boyfriend.”
You immediately start crying, crying for him to let you go, but he doesn’t listen.
“Stop fucking crying like a baby, now lay down and let me take care of you, come on be a good girl.” he scolds you.
He knows he’s so selfish and cold.
But he doesn’t give a fuck.
“you should’ve known that I was irreplaceable yn, I might’ve given you more time, but you had to do this, now you fucking pissed me off. Too bad that I love you so much though to punish you.”

Say goodbye - L. Heeseung
Tumblr media
Pairing: heeseung X fem reader
Warnings: mature content.
Genre: 18+, ex’s.
Word count: 3k+
-
Ten at night, you found yourself standing outside your ex’s apartment, an apartment you used to frequent on days off or when he planned dates for the two of you at his place, that used to be your second home, but you messed all of that up when you broke up with him seven months ago.
Thinking back now, you realize just how much of a mistake you made, but you were not in a good head space at the time. That being said, it still wasn’t a valid reason for you to dump him. He was the only person who kept all your little pieces together. Even when you were in tough times, he was able to make everything better. Heeseung was the most devoted boyfriend to you. He was your rock. He was literally your everything.
But at some point, you decided to hide your worries from him and keep them to yourself. You knew he’d always be there for you to help you through everything, but you didn’t want to burden him all the time with your issues.
Clearly, you weren’t thinking straight.
As time went on, it only got tougher on you, and hiding things just became the norm. There was a lot going on, and at that time, it was all just too much for you to handle, and you didn’t want to waste his time while you were still figuring things out.
He deserved someone who knew what they wanted and how to communicate what they wanted, not someone who easily changed with the wind and carried too much baggage. So you decided to call it quits with him so that he could find someone who was good for him because you were far from that.
But after these long seven months, you were regretting your decision to leave him. Hell, you didn’t even want to do it in the first place, but you thought it’d be best for you and him.
And that’s all you ever wanted, was the best for him.
He was clearly hurt and shocked when you told him those heartbreaking words, and the look of sadness and confusion on his face made your heart break into pieces.
And it broke into even tinier pieces when he tried everything to get you to change your mind.
“We can spend some time apart, but I’ll always be here for you.”
“I can give you some space.”
“Maybe a little break is all we need.”
He really didn’t want to lose you, but you had other plans, ones you thought would make his life and yours easier. If anything, it only made it worse. It took you too long to realize it months had already passed, and for all you know, he could have someone new by now.
You’d text him weekly, and he’d never respond. You’re surprised he hadn’t blocked you yet, but a tiny little piece of you was grateful that he didn’t cause just seeing that he left your messages on seen was enough for you to hold out an ounce of hope.
You saw him three times since the breakup to pick up all your things. You quietly entered his apartment, never sharing information about how you were feeling, nor did he, but he didn’t have to cause you could clearly see the animosity he held for you.
But who are you kidding? You broke up with him with no explanation other than you needing to sort things out. You’d be upset if someone left you like that, too. You realize how much of a shitty thing that was to do, and you’re so sorry for it.
All that being said you hoped he wouldn’t be too upset when he saw you standing outside his door this late at night.
You inhaled a deep breath and knocked on his door. Not even a minute later, you heard the latch click, and the door creaked open soon later, revealing your ex, the most handsome, sweet man you’ve ever seen in your entire life.
His eyes widened for a moment, surprised to see you there, but the shock quickly died down. The look of annoyance taking over his features was quite evident. “What are you doing here?” He asked, folding his arms over his chest and trying his best not to roll his eyes at that half-assed smile you gave him.

Korra's journey in Book 3 is so funny because it's like. Maybe a few weeks? And in those weeks she:
Got anxious about not being able to get rid of the vines.
Beefed with the president in front of the press.
Failed to learn how to drive.
Failed to get rid of the vines.
Saved an Airbender's life.
Beefed with the president again and got kicked out of Republic City.
Decided she was going to dedicate herself to rebuild the Air Nation.
Travelled across the Earth Kingdom looking for Airbenders (and she and Tenzin only managed go get one to join them).
She and Asami kept bonding and training together while at the same time kinda making fun of Mako.
Visited Ba Sing Se.
Fought a few bandits.
Yelled at the Earth Queen because she wouldn't tell her where the Airbenders were.
Organized a prison break and basically declared herself an enemy of the crown.
Became a fugitive in the Earth Kingdom.
Visited Zaofu and met the Beifong Clan.
Tried to be the Beifong family's therapist.
Learnt how to metalbend.
Got tranq'd and almost kidnapped.
Tracked Aiwei until the Misty Palm Oasis.
Chatted with Zaheer about philosophy stuff in the Spirit World.
She and Asami got arrested by the Earth Queen's officers.
She and Asami escaped.
They all got stranded in the middle of the desert with a giant fish who tried to kill them.
They worked together and the officers were now her buddies.
Talked to Iroh in the Spirit World who told her to ask Zuko for advice about what to do with the Airbenders and Zaheer's threat.
Asked Zuko for advice and told him she'd spoken with his supposed dead uncle.
Decided to sacrifice herself for the Airbenders.
Had to fight Zaheer while being chained up.
Thought her dad died.
Was poisoned and basically tortured to induce the Avatar State.
Was having creepy ass hallucinations as she managed to resist for a pretty long time.
Got into the Avatar State and quickly broke free and nearly killed all the Red Lotus.
Fought Zaheer in the sky while literally dying from being poisoned.
Zaheer nearly suffocated her.
Got saved by the same Airbenders she sacrificed herself for and saved by Suyin.
Was severely injured and affected both physically and psychologically.
Got accepted back in Republic City?
Began to figure out she wasn't straight because she was starting to like her ex-boyfriend's ex-girlfriend at some point but it was all very confusing?
Went to Jinora's ceremony.
All that in the span of like. A month, a month and a half. Like damn the girl really went through it all, they didn't let her catch a break all season.

Scott pilgrim is a modern retelling of Dante’s Inferno, and I want to talk about it
Hi . Brought this up very briefly a while ago but i rewatched spto with friends last night and got my gears turning. I don’t usually make posts like this but It’s been on my mind and I want to share. Here we goooo. Under read more becwuse I wish not to disturb my beloved friends with a long post
First off, let’s start with theeeee obvious.
Tumblr media
Say hello to our Dante and Beatrice.
I don’t think I need to go into this first one much, but Scott and Dante are of course the heroes(term used lightly. Scott is not a good person and honestly neither was fuckinh Dante of all people) of their respective tales, going through hell and back to win over this ethereal, “too good to be true” heavenly dream girl. Scott even dies to get her in the end, like Dante venturing down into the depths of hell, dying and then ascending to get to Beatrice. If I wanted to really stretch it I could say the dreamscape is a sort of purgatory but I don’t think there’s enough evidence for that one.
Next,
Tumblr media
Our Virgil. What’s up, Wallace.
In the comics Wallace acts as a sort of guide to Scott. We end up seeing him less as the comic progresses, which I find lines up with Virgil having to part ways with Dante before he enters heaven. Not much to say otherwise admittedly. Love you though buddy
Now for the symbolism of hell. Since there are nine circles of hell, it obviously can’t match up one to one with the exes unless we add some of scott’s relationships to the mix, which both doesn’t make sense, causes this analysis to get stupider than it already is, and leaves some characters left over that already don’t fit in to these parallels.
Luckily, however, there are The Seven Deadly Sins. Going to be going in sin order rather than ex order here
Firstly,
Tumblr media
MATTHEW PATEL - PRIDE
- the first boyfriend and the first sin very conveniently line up, which threw me off track because I thought the exes would go in the order of the sins. Enyways
- in the movies, comics, and shows, he is insanely flashy with how he presents himself. It’s the entrance, the dances, the expressive clothing (“that guy’s dressed as a pirate” “pirates are in this year!”, modifying Gideon’s suit to fit his color palette, the outfit he wore while kicking gideon’s ass). The theatre kid in him essentially
- taking the lead in the musical Knives and Stephen presented him with— they knew how to cater to him, because he views himself as the coolest bitch on the planet. Which honestly he kind of is but don’t tell him this
- so headstrong in his pride that he fucks up. Repeatedly. First to get killed, too cocky, spends all of gideons money “I’ve lost billions!”
- believes he’s entitled to Ramona as soon as he wins the fight against Scott
Tumblr media
GIDEON- GREED
- I don’t feel like I have to explain this one but I will because I enjoy him greatly
- CEO, billionaire. Money money money mr rich
- literally “owns” or tries to excersize ownership Ramona in the comics and movie as if she belongs to him— with the glow, or with the chip implanted into her neck with his logo on it.
- has all of his past girlfriends cryogenically frozen. All for him none for anyone else. They should only love meeeeee.
- wants everything for himself in excess. Women, fame, money. Almost considered pride for him also but greed is more fitting
Tumblr media
KEN AND KYLE- ENVY AND LUST
- holy shit this image has five pixels so sorry about that I’m on my phone and Google images sucks
- anyways of course they’re sharing sins
- not much to say here as they don’t show up much, and it’s easy to make the argument of envy or lust for ANY of the seven exes. These two were the hardest to figure out. Not as sure on Envy, but can definetly advocate for lust— playing around with women, thinking they were playing around with Ramona.
Tumblr media
TODD- GLUTTONY
- this one was the easiest one for me. Like come on
- breaks vegan edge in the comics, movie, (vegan police), and show (Wallace breakup event 2 dead 5 injured)
- his whole persona revolves around food. Of course gluttony doesn’t always mean food but here it most definetly equates. Even when he’s vegan he always makes it a talking point of how superior he is to others because of this fact, only for it to blow up in his face when his enjoyment of non vegan food catches up to him.
Tumblr media
ROXY- WRATH
- a very angry girl to be sure. Takes her emotions out using violence, attacking Ramona the first time she sees her, even though she is going out of the order of the league and supposed to be attacking Scott (although I guess that point is moot because they all think he’s dead at that point)
- “I’m bi-furious” line from the movie deserves a shout out here I think
- (completely justified) Unending rage against Ramona in the show, and scott in the comics and movies. She is PISSED.
Lastly,
Tumblr media
LUCAS LEE- SLOTH
- also one of the easiest ones. Could have made an argument for pride (tries to prove he can land a sick ollie so hard that he dies) or greed (movie star who lives in huge mansion), but sloth ultimately fit the bill the best.
- even before we get into his reoccurring theme of “whatever” in the show, it’s pretty evident in the comics and movie that he doesn’t care enough to extend effort. He tells Scott he’ll leave him alone and say his ass got kicked if Scott gave him a twenty dollar bill, sends his stunt doubles to fight Scott in his stead.
- onto the show, he lets his stardom slip out of his fingers with his attitude, not even caring to read or memorize the script anymore (“is that why half the lines in your last film were ‘Let’s Party’?” “I uhh, read the title.” Etc). Just spends all his time messing around and skateboarding. The title of his episode is literally “Whatever”. He doesn’t give enough of a shit to care. Which. Respect I guess
Extra; the exes ARE referred to as “the seven deadly chumps” in the show.
In conclusion;

What do you think were the biggest missed opportunities when it came to the OC?
Lol my favorite topic (this is not at all exhaustive)
Not letting Marissa verbalize and process her trauma 1000% forever and ever amen. The show learns by the end of s1 that they can keep hurting her without much recompense. Oliver holds a gun to her head and bamboozles grown ass adults yet she shoulders all of the blame in the aftermath. Christ. Her father MOVES AWAY TO BE A BETTER PARENT BC HE CANT STOP SLEEPING WITH HIS EX? Please. How anyone came up with that and thought that was good writing I will never know. Marissa's SA'ed and nearly r**** by her boyfriend's brother and never says the words out loud or processes it because the shooting looms larger. Disgusting. Back in s1 Luke is more apologetic of his affair than Marissa's own mother is and HE'S the one who has to leave town? which leads me to
Getting rid of Luke made no sense. Instead of making Luke/Julie happen they should've had Luke/Marissa 2.0 happen. There was so much there to mine. Sometimes the show acts like they were a nothing relationship and other times like 109 we see they have deep-rooted love/fondness. Rushing RM (though they're my loves) after their 101-108 slow burn shot them in the foot since they were so uncreative later on. But then again TPTB were so reliant on the actors' mirrored personal lives that I'm convinced if they'd put RM off to s2 they would've butchered them thanks to the irl breakup. (This is still so insane)
Getting rid of Anna also made no sense. She was liked by the gen pop, she had good chemistry with everyone! What a damn waste
Seth/Marissa friendship!!!! It is so cute to think Seth is the one boy in Marissa's life that isn't falling all over her. They share the same music tastes, they have the same favorite book, they grew up privileged + depressed, they're neighbors, they're dating each other's besties, their families have a storied closeness, they've dated the same person, etc. It is SO insane how little they actually interact.
Not exploring the Jimmy/Kirsten dynamic more. I rewatched the pilot a few months ago and the hints to their history are so compelling. I remember thinking their tension was good enough to last several seasons. Cutting that out to uphold the sanctity of SK in s1 ended up being for nothing since s2 messed with SK even worse! So why!
Never utilizing Alan Dale well enough. Not only do they kill him for no reason, his death literally does nothing but give us an iconic coda and funeral scene. That's literally it. Having Caleb around while Kirsten goes to rehab is so much more compelling than having her go after he's died. And making us watch Caleb/Lindsay/Ryan for what seems like half a season is so unbelievably boring and ridiculous. Why are we supposed to care. This is taking away from Kirsten/Caleb material! which brings me to
Never giving Kelly Rowan much to do. What a goddamn waste. She absolutely kills her late s2 arc but then she leaves rehab two minutes into 301 and the Charlotte storyline mostly revolves around Julie. Jesus. People talk about the favoritism going on on that set with the younger actors (as they 1000% should and we should do it more), but there was some serious shit going on with elevating Melinda constantly and shafting Tate/Peter/Kelly forever. Especially Kelly. At least she was there and not essentially let go like Tate was (and Tate was a ~big name~ regular from the pilot!). But you can tell Kelly's got some feelings about how the show went for her and her screentime/importance.
Not cutting the Johnny storyline two minutes into filming 304. They had to know Mischa/Ryan D had no chemistry. We're supposed to believe Marissa's having some sort of emotional affair but there is absolutely nothing showing that to us. It's everyone telling Marissa she's got feelings for him, and Mischa doing her job well enough to convince us it's sketchy/complicated, but they have one (1) conversation in 306 that's mostly about Johnny's father or uncle that no one cares about. which brings me to
WE DONT CARE ABOUT GUEST STARS. stop spending so much valuable time on them. we just wanna see our s1 babes being cute and supporting one another that's literally it

something i really need to get off my chest even if i just post this privately is That i really dislike ‘caretakers’ in whump writing. or ‘whumper’ i feel like it makes a character (even if they’re just a hypothetical one) feel very 1 dimensional and it makes me so OKAY JUST HEAR ME OUT!!! whumpee i don’t mind much, it makes the prompt or what your talking about a little clearer. But it feels like it’s putting it into a box and making sort of roles which makes it feel less like a prompt and more like we’re in an omega verse fandom and i mean this really lovingly and affectionately and no hate to any of yall. I have a vast amount of characters and i write stories and books and I can say with out a shadow of a doubt, not ONE of them fall under ‘whumper’ or ‘caretaker’ because i develop them as their own individual character. Not even my antagonist are ‘whumpers’
So one of my main antagonists literally burns cigarettes on the MC and abuses the MC. Tries to kill her on her 18th birthday. Shes her mom, and the main character PHYSICALLY cannot leave that situation with out getting the authorities involved until she turns 18. Mom sounds like an ass, she beats ‘whumpee’ up! why would i NEVER call her a whumper? because she’s a whumpee by that logic. Her mom was extremely emotionally abusive, and half the time not fully there. Her shitty ass dad got murdered in front of her when she was just a kid. but Her mom isn’t a whumper either, because she too would be considered a whumpee. She was a world renowned flapper girl, everyone loved her. she LIVED for the fame and her face in newspapers. But behind the scenes she was actively ignoring her distant parents as they continued to try and marry her off. She was then forced into the marriage when she got pregnant with the guy (much so against her will which is why she killed him.) and ever since she’s been delusional and not fully there. It’s generational abuse.
more ramble under the cut + extra clarification on what I’m trying to say
okay but that’s just generational abuse right? There are other whumpers in the real world! Yeah i guess there’s sadists and serial killers, but like, there’s SOOOO much more guys.
I have a mini antagonist, he’s in highschool and he’s meant to be the toxic narcissistic ex of one of my characters. But he’s falling apart trying to get attention, he’s not fully aware of the damage he IS doing. Ass he may be but again behind the scenes he’s constantly fighting with his dad who refuses to do anything around the house and who is also transphobic (she’s bigender but i’ve been using he to make it less confusing right now) and now she has to take care of her little sister and act like a whole ass mom. As a sophomore. In high school. Not only that but her mom died, so she has to struggle with that. She’s just an annoying ass teenager, she doesn’t understand how to treat people or how she’s supposed to be handling what she’s dealing with. But getting attention and being liked at school? now that’s the shit. That’s like drugs for her. But to what lengths does she go to get that extra validation? He uses his boyfriend almost like an accessory. He’s not considerate of his feelings, and most likely doesn’t understand what a relationship is SUPPOSED to be.
Unless you’re making a sociopath character, which i LOVE a good sociopath character, you have to treat them like they also have humanity. Most of the time villains don’t just. Do shit to do it, they have some sort of background that lead up to this!!! And also even then with sociopaths they’re their own individual characters separate from the people they hurt!!! and also NONE of these are end all be alls and all characters must be developed this way!!!!
just my advice and stuff <3 i love all of you out there and i can understand why using certain roles and terms are the go to, and i’m not stopping you!!! i just really wanted to give my two cents so i can possibly help other writers!!!

Awful Characters Round 1 Part 4 (2/8)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut!
VEGAS THEERAPANYAKUL
he's such a polarizing character because there's the group of us who are like Vegas <3!!! and then there's the people that point out his many crimes against humanity and lack of redeemable qualities or actions. he brutally tortures his love interest. he commits lots of crimes against the protagonist including drugging him. he's literally the villain. I love him so much though he's the poorest little meow meow of all time
As the oldest son in the minor mafia family in Thailand, Vegas seeks every opportunity to outdo his cousin from the main family. He hires an assassin to go after him. On another occasion he drugs, kidnaps, and assaults a guy to get at his cousin. He secretly schemes with the Yakuza, plots to frame that same guy as a mole working for the main family, fakes being in love with his cousins ex-boyfriend to the point of getting engaged (and then ditches him), and allegedly has done the same thing with the actual mole working for the main family. The definition of manipulate, manwhore, manslaughter. Vegas has a whole ass Patrick Bateman-style murder coat for torture. Methods of torture used: extracting a man's Cochlear, electrocuting a man's balls, forcefeeding by shoving said man's head into slop, whipping him with his own leather belt, setting a fake escape trap only to chase the hostage down and tase him. Whenever he makes deals he'll slip his hand into the other person's with a firm grip before they've consciously expressed a choice (so it always goes in his favor). He shields himself with other's bodies during shootouts, letting several people die for his sake. He's into BDSM (this isn't one of the bad things, but hoo boy people will act like it is). Listen, he's a piece of work. He cries because his pet hedgehog dies. He falls for his hostage, fucks him, and then continues to be shitty so the guy knocks him out to escape. He gets pathetic about it. He confesses his love and kisses him in a parking garage full of dead bodies in the middle of a mafia coup that he is leading. He's absolutely reprehensible and is treated as the main villain of the show for several reasons. Except I love him and his insanity. He gets a lot of shit that he doesn't deserve (both in canon and in the fandom). Not that I wanna fix him, that wouldn't be fun! Vegas and his partner deserve to serve cunt, be disgustingly in love, and murder to their hearts desires because I said so.
CHARLES AUGUSTUS MILVERTON
This is based on vibes and general like…hesitancy in others to agree that Milverton is worth simping over. He's the true evil foil to a necessary evil protag. He is always on a power trip he finds himself smart but can't pivot when things go off script, he's the king of blackmail because he isn't trying to get the money he's trying to make the person come to ruin and really wants to watch. His goon pissed on what they thought was Sherlock Holmes' Stradivarius, simply to humiliate him. He's a wet rat, sexy as hell, and entertaining af.
Look, the man is pure evil, he blackmails people not for the profit of taking the ransoms but to watch them frantically scramble to gather the ransom and then watch the light die in their eyes as he brings their worst nightmares to life before them. He ordered the death of a disabled child (and i’m still mad about it). He made his boyfriend destroy a violin (as far as he knew, a very expensive violin at that) by pissing on it. He would kick a puppy. But he’s also dramatic and fun about his pure evil, and I’m attached. He tries to make clowns out of my favourite couple, and gets called the whole circus for it. It’s funny. Also, his depiction in the musicals (specifically the fourth musical) dials this drama up to 11, while also giving him a very cute relationship with Ruskin. He’s the literal worst, but he’s fun about it, so it’s all totally okay.
He blackmails people for fun. He isn't after their money, hes already rich, but still he asks amounts of money that are over the limit for the people he blackmails. His greatest joy is to see good people blackmailed into doing bad things.

Am I the only one that didn’t like Beetlejuice 2? I thought it sucked ass.
Beetlejuice isn’t supposed to be realistic, but the way that Charles died was when I really started to dislike where the movie was going. That was just too stupid to even comprehend. At least make his death semi-realistic? I liked the claymation though.
There were sooo many plot points that I had a hard time keeping up. The weird actor/police guy wasn’t really that funny and I got so confused as to why he was even there when he literally didn’t add anything to the movie at all. He wasn’t even really that funny? He was just there.
Beetlejuice’s ex-wife was a cool idea that was executed poorly, she hardly got any screentime and everytime she was on screen I just wanted the moment to end because she also didn’t add anything. To be honest, I hardly cared about any of the characters.
I don’t even remember the boyfriend guy’s name. The guy who was a ghost? The twist was pretty cool and I actually liked it, let me say that the ending of the movie/middle ending was actually pretty good and I enjoyed those parts, but the beginning I absolutely hated. Terrible beginning.
To me, I feel like Catherine O’Hara and Micheal Keaton were the only good things about the movie to be honest. They were the only people who got me to laugh. Maybe Winona and Jenna? Winona more than Jenna, just because I like Winona as an actoress more.
Anyway, the movie was pretty terrible. It has its moments but overall I don’t think I’d watch it again like I’d watch the original.
No offense to anyone who likes the new movie, but I don’t. I’m sure people are gonna say that I don’t get the vision or don’t understand it but to me it was just horrible. Of course, usually no sequel is as good as the first, but this one is just terrible. I feel like it takes place in an alternate universe.

Given the interpretations of JTTW/Xiyouji - what is your opinion on when media or even solo creators make a romance for Wukong?
Especially since most of Wukong's romances in media end up played for tragedy as well as the fact that from a textbook analysis he seems very no love/no sex/only friendship.
Innocent interpretations for their personal enjoyment or does it feel more harmful to the character of Wukong as a whole and fetishy?
Given Xiyouji and Wukong in general has such an influential swathe over culture/pop culture as a whole and the uh...quite gross mishandling of him at times from Western culture (Ex. Making him some musclebound meathead who only cares for violence which doesn't only devalue his character but the East-Asian view of masculinity as a whole.) or Anime culture. (Ex; making him a 'Yandere' style obsessive partner which may be interesting when played off his previous lifestyle as a Yaoguai - but most of the time isn't and is simply played to be a 'love me or else' danger boyfriend.)
What do you think of it all? Especially with the prevalence of a lot of this stuff propping up due to LMK?
Feel free to read more if you want to watch me complain lmao
Hmmmm OKAY so I do need to preface this by noting that I've now run across a number of retellings/presentations of Sun Wukong composed by eastern creators that made me deeply uncomfortable or even straight-up be like "well I hope I forget that exists forever!" because of the ways in which the monkey king was oversexualized and/or painted into extreme grimdark territory. So it's pretty obvious that western creators aren't unique in some of the ways that Sun Wukong gets flanderized to hell and back.
And while being very much aware that what one sees in the west for free on youtube is a very small sample size of big-budget retellings of Xiyouji, a LOT of those retellings with a Monkey King romance have an incredibly samey plot of "Sun Wukong is a dick-->he encounters some lady and is a dick to her-->she likes him anyway-->he softens up a bit-->she dies-->he's sad-->her death still gives him the powerup needed to defeat the big bad." I know that the angle is tragedy but oh my god at this point the 500 year old text that presents Sun Wukong as a communal grandpa that will do literally anything for his family including challenging the heavens & how this comes back to bite them all in the collective ass BUT they still love each other very much and Sun Wukong never stops fighting for them and doing everything he can to make them happy and safe speaks far more to tragedy that's balanced out with hope & is far more original than many a contemporary retelling in my opinion! tbh i wouldn't be surprised if this was one of the reasons why Monkey King: Hero Is Back became so popular that it basically revived Chinese animation; it's one of those rare retellings that puts the emphasis on dad/protector of children Wukong rather than lover Wukong, and as a result 2015 SWK still seems to have a special place in the hearts of many.
Tumblr media
But turning back to western creators in both individual and big-budget productions, I guess my main gripe would have to be not so much that your meathead/yandere/destructive monkey presentations of SWK exist (you'll find such depictions across the globe), but that these often seem to be undeniably the most popular, the most common, and at times the ONLY ways that the Monkey King is understood in the west. As it is eastern countries like China do seem to have their share of such depictions, but there's also a abundance of other understandings/portrayals of the Monkey King, including those of him being a dedicated and quick-witted being, a tireless protector of children, and oh yeah a literal buddha! I've joked before about how hellbent many western creators seem to be in taking the "intelligent" out of "intelligent stone primate," but looking over the ways that SWK is commonly presented in the west...well, can you really say that this isn't the case? Honestly at times SWK really feels like he's become yet another victim of narrative monoculturalization in the west, where one version becomes the Official one and barely anyone deviates from it. Personally I feel it particularly sucks that this Official version seems to have become one where the Monkey King is routinely presented as a destructive idiot whose only worth lies in this weird frenemies relationship to the Six Eared Macaque :( (though I will say it's kind of fascinating how western creators so completely rewrote the True and False Monkey King arc that it's the Six Eared Macaque and not Sun Wukong who's become the definitely preferred individual. Dude finally achieved his goal of replacing the Monkey King lol).
In a number of ways this disparity does make sense. Besides Xiyouji definitely not having the same cultural impact in the west as it does in the east, there's very few decent English translations out there, and even fewer that give due course to the entire story. As far as I'm aware the Anthony C. Yu translation is the only one to do so, and yeah it's understandable that many people wouldn't or couldn't make their way through 1,400+ pages worth of narrative and footnotes. Plus there's the added fact that the east has more traditions of monkeys being understood as tricksters, whereas in the west primates have long been framed as man's poor imitation with ties to the Devil himself, so you can get some sense of why/how SWK's destructive tendencies would be emphasized above all else. Plus it certainly doesn't help that the two(2) primary ways that western audiences are learning about the Monkey King & co. are through cartoony retellings, which are fine in of themselves but when that's the ONLY popular version you have well you are not going to end with a complex or even a positive impression of the Monkey King. And it definitely definitely doesn't help that one of those versions--even while it is a silly lego show--consistently presents Sun Wukong as an absolute failure that basically everyone either has good reason to be mad at or just flat-out hates. And yeah you see this getting emphasized even further in fandom creations a lot, with many a popular fan work being all about how Sun Wukong ruined everything and/or getting yelled at & punched for being a cataclysmic moron. Like hell there's a very good chance I'm not looking hard enough but I don't remember coming across a single piece of recent fan work for Monkie Kid that shows Sun Wukong actually being a good mentor or actively doing something positive. The emphasis is pretty much only ever on his relationship with Macaque, and for that how thoroughly he screwed it up.
So going back to your original question anon, I would say that in it's abstract the idea of giving Sun Wukong a romance isn't inherently a bad thing. It's just that (and maybe it's just me) for a variety of reasons, in both eastern and western creations, in both individual fandom and big-budget works, I've pretty much never seen it done well lmao.

rant abt queer as folk under the cut <3 read it if you wanna hear abt the messiest show ive ever seen. youll regret it.
ok. right. so queer as folk…god im still so mad abt it lmao but like i need to get all my thoughts out bc how can one show turn out so bad….like it is LITERALLY 8 episodes that are all less than an hour. its probably only ~7h30m of content and so much of it just fucking sucks like. literally. ok anyways it does start off pretty strong, yknow?? first episode is standard for first episodes. introduces all the characters, gives some insight into their relationships and how they know each other, sets up some things yall know how it goes. and then like idk midway thru the ep is like the catalyst for Everything that happens is a shooter goes into babylon (babylon is the club that was a huge focus for the original series and was tied into the reboot) and kills and injures people because its a hate crime. it involves 2 of the main characters heavily (brodie gets shot in the arm protecting mingus who is performing a drag act on stage) and kills brodies best friend daddius, who is also '''dating''' (i use this term loosely, idk if their relationship was defined as this) noah, who is brodies ex boyfriend/fiance (i think??? idk man noah proposed to brodie with a small toy duck or something and then brodie abandoned him to go to med school bc 'oh no commitment is hard :(((' like fuck off actually but w/e) but it affects most of the main characters overall bc like…ofc it would. anyways the ep then kinda goes much of the way the first ep of the original series did w/the lesbian couple having their babies (twins who we dont know the genders of who are named flotsam and jettsam, named bc of mingus which is what the original series did w/justin naming the lesbian couples baby) who are fathered by brodie via sperm donation, and then everything sucks bc we find out daddius died in the shooting :/ which is like definitely a lot for one episode but its just how it is sometimes. also sorry for recapping the Entire first episode but its like literally the only episode that has a coherent storyline so. yeah.
anyways, this made me think the series would focus on like the characters and their healing from this traumatic event and trying to fondly remember their friend and just in generally trying to move on from it and like. it really…isnt like that at all?? like it is for a couple of eps, dont get me wrong, but after the main people spread daddius' ashes the show really moves away from like anything meaningful in terms of the characters healing or literally doing anything good for themselves or each other. like its really incredible. so many of the eps have absolutely MEANINGLESS relationship progress (except julian and noah. theyre the only solid couple) bc literally. none of the relationships fucking matter even a little tiny bit.
i will give a small rundown of things. please bear with me. brodie is the 'main' character (main in quotes bc most of the characters are main characters but brodie is definitely the focal guy bc all the characters are more or less connected thru him) is just a complete asshole. like literally the worst character which is shown to us a bit by way of how he treats mingus (mingus is 17 going on 18 btw. they fall in love w/brodie bc, and this a direct quote, 'he ate his ass in the bathroom' at the club so now theyre in love bc mingus is a teenager and everything is love at that age) which is completely blowing them off (instead of being the mature one bc hes an adult) rather than telling mingus how he feels before he and mingus end up having sex. like wtf?? literally hated that but anyways brodie gets WORSE bc at that point hes just shown to be a fuckboy which yeah definitely sucks but w/e its standard. he could be redeemed from that. but then he just goes on to show how much of a bad person he is by verbally abusing all his friends, manipulating them, lying to them, taking literally ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY for anything, and then apologizing to ppl in the worst way bc when they dont fall at his feet to forgive him, he starts a whole new fight and just ends up being even worse. like i hate brodie so much…god….like he literally did one good thing the entire season which was saving mingus from getting shot. thats literally IT hes a piece of shit the entire rest of the time!!! AHHHHH it makes me so MAD why is the main guy i cannot stand him.
god. it also makes No Sense bc there are scenes that show him and mingus to be like…a thing kind of bc mingus likes him. they really likes him but brodie simply does not care so mingus does end up being with other people which is like…i think at first an effort to make brodie jealous but it literally ends up in nothing which like…alright?? it doesnt really serve a purpose other than being an excuse for mingus being diagnosed with HIV at the end of the series :/ anyways back to mingus and brodie, theres a scene between them in the last ep of mingus being framed by angel wings (parallels a scene from the first ep) which make me think they were going to be a couple, yknow??? like yeah its gross and i hate it but, thru whats been shown, it would make sense. from a storytelling perspective, it makes sense.
but fucking SIKE lmao bc brodie is in love w/ruthie </3 ruthie and brodie do have history tho, so like…ok. they dated in high school before ruthies transition but then broke up bc yknow. things were hard. ruthie was confused back then and wasnt out as trans to anyone yknow how it is. but the thing abt everything that is so. SO confusing is that brodie is gay and ruthie is. a lesbian. but they are in love bc of feelings they never dealt with when they were kids??? EVEN THO RUTHIE HAS A PARTNER AND CHILDREN WITH THAT PARTNER??? but it gets even WORSE bc hey. hey guess fucking what. ruthies partner is cheating on ruthie WITH. BRODIES. MOTHER.
literally…i could not make this shit up if i TRIED. it is absolutely WILD and i hate it all i hate this show it is the messiest show and all of the characters SUCK like brodie literally deadnames ruthie to her face in the middle of a fight they have but they still get their dumbass fucking romantic moment, ending out the series by kissing in the rain like oh. my god. i wish i were dead i wish this show didnt EXIST.
idk if theres anything else to say. i dont wanna think abt this show anymore. kill me

Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan -- A Long-Ass Review
Spoilers ahead.
TW: Domestic violence, violence against trans people, gender dysphoria, child loss, murder.
I am a book review account now, forgive me, my three followers.
I finished this book a few days ago and have been left with a bitter taste in my mouth. I absolutely loved this book, right up until the end, where it quickly lost any meaningful themes it had been establishing throughout the entire book.
A quick summary: this book follows two protagonists. The first, Olivia, is a woman who has escaped an incredibly abusive marriage and fled with her son to her childhood home in Adams New Hampshire. The second, Lily, is a high-school senior who moved to Adams with her mother to escape the abuse of her father, her peers, and her community due to her being transgender. Lily's story begins at the end of her life, after Ash, Olivia's son, and Lily's boyfriend, finds her dead in her house.
Ash is almost immediately a primary suspect in the death of Lily, and for good reason. Throughout the novel, more and more damning information is revealed about Ash that builds a strong case against him, both through Lily's narrations and through evidence revealed during Ash's trial. Lily reveals a lot about Ash to the reader, most notably being that he was incredibly abusive to her-- there is no denying that. A scene in the book depicted Ash fuming while driving down a highway as fast as possible, followed by him throwing Lily across the car in a fit of rage when she tried to take the wheel. In another scene, Lily is depicted speaking to her ex-boyfriend at a fencing tournament. Ash then comes up to her, letting his jealousy get the best of him, and grips her arm to the point of bruising while yelling at her. Despite only the latter being brought up in trial, it is clear that the fictional jury, the public, and especially the reader are all suspicious of Ash's guilt.
Olivia is incredibly distraught knowing that her son could be a potential abuser. As she reveals details of her former relationship with his father, Olivia describes her worry that, despite her best efforts, Ash's temper had been lying dormant within him during those years of separation. At the beginning of the book, Olivia is completely unrelenting about her son's innocence. However, throughout the novel, we see the seed of doubt planted within her, watered by the unraveling of countless lies her son had told her. These notably included that he had been meeting with his father once a month for almost a year prior.
This point in the novel spoke to me, communicating that we really don't know the people around us, not even family. I loved getting a glimpse into Olivia's internal conflict, especially as she described a feeling as if her love for her son was, unexpectedly, conditional. For me, this was one of the most powerful themes in this book, but it is sadly completely negated by the ending.
Spoiler incoming: Ash is found not guilty and acquitted! Whyyyy?! Well, the defense builds an argument that, due to Lily's hormone therapy, she was prone to bruising incredibly easily, and potentially had a preexisting brain bleed (also caused by hormone therapy.) The jury ultimately decides this is sufficient evidence to build a case for reasonable doubt, which I suppose it is, and Ash is found to be not guilty. The thing is, Ash was literally not guilty, it was actually revealed to be Maya, Ash's childhood friend and Lily's best friend, who got into an argument with Lily about her love for Ash, resulting in Lily tripping down the stairs to her death... Yeah...
This just made me so angry. I got the message that, despite the established violence that Ash perpetrated against Lily, his streak of lying, and his frequently defending his abuser father (and even meeting with him behind his mother's back?!), she ultimately died because women just can't help but be jealous of each other! Oh, girlhood! I thought the alternate ending of Ash being guilty, his mother having to come to terms with that and find a way forward, and the fact that Lily, like many women before her, was murdered by the person who was supposed to love and protect her, would have made for a much more meaningful and thought-provoking ending.
Now, I haven't even begun to touch on the implication that this ending has for communicating violence against trans women. Transgender women disproportionately make up victims of murder and domestic violence, a point this book was clearly attempting to communicate for the majority of the novel. However, by ultimately having her death be an accident resulting from an argument between her and a friend, I felt that this book failed to illustrate the real threat that transgender women face on this front, not to mention it reeks of internalized misogyny from the authors.
Now, I don't want to completely shit on this book. I will say that I really found it intriguing and pretty well-written. Additionally, though I am not trans and cannot speak to its ability to depict the experience of gender dysphoria, discrimination, and abuse for being transgender, I can say that I appreciated reading Lily's narrations and getting a glimpse into her experience of being born into the wrong body. This aspect of the novel is one that I am glad the decision to have two authors was made for, as Lily's narrations are written by Jennifer Finney Boylean, who is transgender.
This book is similar to Gone Girl in that sure, it is an intriguing mystery, but ultimately delivers conflicting messages regarding abusive relationships for which the cultural impact is not well considered. In Gone Girl, the reveal of the female protagonist completely framing and lying about her experience of abuse to keep her husband under her spell ultimately had harmful implications for real-life women survivors who come forward about their experiences with abuse. Similarly, I think that Mad Honey has the potential for similar consequences. Women who are murdered are most likely to die at the hands of their romantic partner, or a former one, and this phenomenon is even more true for trans women. I wish that the book followed through with this point.
Final rating: 2.5/5

kinktober : spanking with ghoul got7
note : so for this one, i’m thinking more tokyo ghoul and less undead graveyard creature. also content warning for impact play & punishment.
Tumblr media
mark : you asked him to do it, but mark still tries his hardest to keep from hitting you too hard whenever he’s spanking you. for a ghoul, mark is very sweet to you. he wants to protect you from the other ghouls living near you. if anything happened to you, he has no idea what he would do.
so when he finds you, drunk and wandering the streets after a friend of yours dropped you off a few blocks away instead of making sure you got home safely, his first instinct is to kill your friend on the spot. and he’s hungry.
but instead he brings you inside and spanks you until you’re covered in hand shaped bruises. “don’t you ever make me worry like that again.”
jaebeom : he loves the sound of his palm hitting your thigh, the way you whimper softly, the way you cry sometimes. it’s this sadistic side of him that he can’t help indulging sometimes, though only because he knows how much you crave it.
“does that feel good, baby?” he kisses the side of your jaw, lifting your hips up and down his cock for you, because of how fucked out you are. “you want to cum for me?”
his hand comes down against your ass again when you don’t answer and you moan again. “yes! yes, please, daddy.”
jinyoung : he’s a very strict dom and meaner when he’s hungry. recently, he hasn’t been able to feed. he only eats leftovers or other people who have already died. somehow, when the person who owns your whole heart is a human being, it becomes much more difficult to kill other ones. who knew?
“what did you do, darling?” jinyoung sits on the edge of the bed, his belt folded over in one hand.
“acted like a brat,” you huffed, still not sure if you were in the mood to behave. jinyoung, surprising you, laughed at you.
“come here, doll,” he pats his laps. “i guess we’re going to have to spank that attitude out of you.”
jackson : whenever jackson spanks you, it’s very playful and for fun. jinyoung will bruise you with absolutely no regrets, but jackson wants you both to have fun. for him, it’s about the way your ass moves when he slaps it, not so much you in pain.
he also gets very horny whenever he’s just eaten. all of a sudden he has all kinds of energy and just wants you on his cock 24/7. not that you’re complaining. he’s very good at fucking you nice and good, and he loves spanking your ass whenever he does that.
youngjae : he’s so shy about it at first, but eventually you convince jae that he’s not going to hurt you. he’s very gentle with you, knowing how easily he could snap you in half and eat you if he wanted to. so the idea of bending you over and spanking you is more than enough to scare him.
“please, youngjae! i promise you won’t hurt me.”
“y/n,” he rolls over in bed, sighing at you, but he’s still smiling. he’s so whipped for you. “i said no.”
“please,” you give him your best puppy eyes.
youngjae turns to look at you, looking like he was deciding something. finally he says, “alright. turn over. i think i need someone needs to teach you how to take no for answer.”
bambam : he’s surprisingly very into spanking. it’s like an impulse that he can just never stop himself from indulging. everytime he sees your ass in a cute pair of shorts or jeans, he always has to reach over and smack it. he literally can’t help it smh. your ass is just that juicy and spankable.
“bambam! stop it,” you complain after he’s bent you over the kitchen counter for the third time that morning. “my ass is going to bruise.”
“sorry, sorry,” he smiles, pressing an apology kiss to your lips. “…that could be hot though.”
“bam!”
yugyeom : yeomie really doesn’t know his own strength. he’s much stronger than any of your human ex-boyfriends, so sometimes it’s a bit much for you.
“y/n!” yugyeom opens the door to the bathroom, looking for you. his eyes widen, seeing the hand shaped marks on your butt and thighs. “y/n, oh by god. is that from last night? did i do that?”
he feels so bad for hurting you, even if he didn’t mean to. so he carefully spreads lotion over all of the sore spots and presses gentle kisses to them.

KENMA ! BUNNY ! ik that i already tected you but i want some hood ghostbur headcanon please :) <3
Dating Ghostbur Headcanons
Tumblr media
Ghostbur x gender neutral reader Requested by: Beloved <3 Proofread: N/A Genre: Fluff Music: Underrated Female Classical Composers
Warnings: Mentions of death, past toxic relationship (Pogtopia Wilbur is a dickhead), slight gore (Ghostbur's stab wound), Ghostbur has blue blood, SBI, Exile mention, c!Technoblade mention Author's Note: Hello Beloved. I hope these are to your liking :) -Mod Kenma
I feel like dating Ghostbur would be your stereotypical fluffy relationship
Except, ya know, your boyfriend is dead
If you were with him before he passed, things would be pretty rough at first
We all know Wilbur during his final days wasn't the best person
He was toxic to everyone around him, including himself
You weren't an exception to his bullshit and seeing him now as a much happier spirit is a complete 180
It took time to not only heal from the mental pain that Wilbur inflicted on you (and everyone around), his death in front of everyone, and just overall trusting Ghostbur
If you began your relationship with him after he became a spirit, everything would go pretty smoothly
You would have heard about Wilbur and everything he's done (both the positive and negative)
But you haven't had any interactions with him, ya know?
It was all just conversations from passersby L'Manberg and Manberg residents
You were a little hesitant but when you found out that the ghost was of no harm, you let your guard down
One thing that happens a lot is that when you hug Ghostbur too tightly, his wound oozes
It first was horrifying but you two have adapted
Sometimes you're not sure if you'd rather clean up normal blood or ghost blood because of how much of a pain in the ass it is to clean
Ghostbur's blue blood is a permanent stain in your house
The blue is literally everywhere
Most dates consist of going out into a field and having picnics
Ghostbur enjoys just wondering around holding your hand
The two of you just walk around the SMP, petting animals and picking flowers
He really wants you to meet Fundy, Technoblade, Phil, and Tommy
Again, it all depends on if you were with him when he was alive
If you were, the four interact with you like usual and offer you a shoulder to cry on if Ghostbur gets too overwhelming
You probably helped raise Fundy to an extent (depending on when you got together with Wilbur) so the fox leaned onto you for support when he died
You were also most likely close to Tommy as well and were there for him during everything (well as much as you could)
If you weren't dating Wilbur when he was alive, it makes things much more complicated
Fundy didn't (and probably still) doesn't trust you
He thinks you want something from Ghostbur and that you're using him
It takes a while for Fundy to fully trust you since he and Wilbur didn't have the best relationship when the ex-president passed
Tommy would be confused and a little cautious around you
During this time, a lot was going on with him (Lads on tour, Tubbo's betrayal, Dream's abuse) so he wouldn't know if he should trust you or not
Be patient with him and offer him your hand, he desperately needs it
Phil and Technoblade wouldn't really care about you
To them, as long as Ghostbur is happy, that's all that matters
As long as you don't do anything suspicious
Technoblade will bully you but that's his love language
Ghostbur trusts you with his undead life
The only things that matter to him are family, Friend, and you <3

Ok so i have Thoughts on this episode. Lots of them. Let's start at the beginning.
It got long so it's under the cut:
That opening scene. Can i say how much i appreciate that they gave us that scene? Just. Ugh. So much. They could have smash cut back to the mansion but they didn't. Instead we get Porsche curled up on the bed, clearly Not Ok, asking the question any normal person would ask in this scenario which is "why did this happen to me?"
And we have Kinn who is also Not Ok, but who is also aware that porsche is victim here (guilt? Check) and is sitting there trying to answer his questions. They might not be the answers porsche wants, but he still tries. His exit is a bit abrupt but he only leave after porsche asks him to (and the way porsche pulls the covers up, Hiding?! I died). He clearly cares, now if only he could maintain the effort (spoiler: he can't).
Next, wer'e back at the mansion and kinn is immediately taken to see papa korn. Now this is one of our first korn scenes since ep 1 and again they clearly tell us from the get go that while kinn might be the heir to the empire, he's not yet King. That's papa korn. He knows what happened, he's not fooled by kinn's poker face and while he does understand kinn's sentiment he's trying to teach him an important lesson: appearances matter, kinn can't just be king, he's gotta look like one.
Now when korn refers to what happened Before i couldn't figure out what exactly he was talking about. Is he talking about kinn's mom? Or maybe about the last time kinn let sentiment rule him (the ex boyfriend situation we heard mentioned before)? Either way, kinn has clearly got the message, although it's important to note that punishing porsche was kinn's idea, korn never actually voices an opinion on the matter. Which leads me to think that kinn maybe didn't get the Right message or at least he went to the extreme in an attempt to appease korn (needlessly), more on this later.
Next, the punishment scene. Gonna be honest with you, i barely watched it, i skipped most of it, only caught glimpses. might go back at a later date but while watching the ep i absolutely Could Not. I was dreading this scene since the preview last ep. I was thinking the whole time we were waiting for the ep that it won't be so bad if this is just ken and big being shitheads, like fine whatever, they suck, but then KINN SHOWED UP and i swear to god i lost my shit. I was screaming at the screen, because this bitch, this was all his Fault, porsch was literally collateral damage WHAT THE FUCK JXHFJXH
You can bet you ass i was swearing at the screen everytime kinn was on it for the rest of the ep HOW DARE HE - *deep breath* moving on.
The flashback scene was so good. Porsche has just been through a (more than one, actually) traumatic exprience and they show us the consequences. He's not ok, how could he be, he's practically trapped in it still what with kinn BEING A BITCH. There's nowhere and no one for him to turn to.
Pete to the rescue as always, my sunshine boy is such a good friend. I saw the comedic misunderstanding bit they did coming from a mile away so it didn't bother me much, but it did bring up an interesting detail.
The bodyguards don't actually know that kinn and porsche had sex.
It was my assumption that it was common knowledge because korn knew immediately, but korn also knows his son, kinn can't hide shit from him. And like chan is korn's man so he also knows, but pete had no idea what porsche was talking about beyond the punishment. Even if it was just a rumor and he didn't believe it, pete would have still heard about it. So from the rest of bodyguards pov porsche was drugged and kidnapped because he was careless (chan's words) and that's what the punishment was about. It changes the situation and adds to my theory of kinn overreacting to the situation.
Pete's concern also gives a different perspective that kinn might have not considered. Porsche is the new guy sure, but he's charismatic. He's got friends. They're gonna remember this just as much as porsche, they might even feel the injustice of it (might actually consider it an injustice if they ever find out about everything that happend - looking at the dick you couldn't keep in your pants, kinn)
Ok so porsche goes to kinn to ask premission to go with khun to yok's bar. He's quiet, he's uncomfortable, he doesn't look kinn in the eyes. He got the message from the punishment loud and clear: porsche is just a bodyguard and kinn doesn't give a shit. (It's not True, but kinn has well and trully dug himself into this particular hole, and he can damn well dig himself out as far as i'm concerned.)
Kinn, of course, goes and makes things even worse by waving the request away, because porsche is wrong footed to start with and now kinn is confusing him even more. Like, lay down some fucking guidelines kinn, how is a guy supposed to know what's allowed and what's not if you keep changing the fucking rules every ten seconds???
Like i get that he's got a crush on porsche and i get that he appearantly loses every single braincell he owns around him, but that's NOT AN EXCUSE KINN- i'm fine. I'm fine. We're moving on.
At yok's bar we see porsche back in his element more or less, still quieter than usual, but he's smiling a little at the boys enjoying the drinks he made. It's at this point in the scene that i realized he was wearing an overshirt and had to pause to have a crisis over it. Porsche 'tits out on every occasion' is wearing an overshirt?! The most covered we've ever seen him in civilian clothes was a tshirt. And now he's wearing an overshirt.
There's a practical component to it probabely, after the punishment, his chest, shoulders and maybe arms were covered rash, so he can't show skin. But it's also about him feeling exposed, he added an extra layer just like he pulled the covers up in the first scene.
The parellals between porsch and kinn trying to have casual sex was well done. Porsche is trying, he really is, he's going through the motions, but all he can think about is what happened while he was drugged (in the novel as far as i know, they make it about how only kinn turns him, i really liked that they changed it) porsche just had a traumatic experience with sex of course he can't manage to just jump back to it.
Kinn is having a different set of issues on his end. I mean he very clearly want porsche, he's trying to recreate what he did with porsche and ooh boy is it not working. (Was i enjoying his pain? Absolutly. Was i feeling bad for his partner? Kinda yeah, kinn had the poor guy by the hair by the end of it.)
So the night at yok's is winding down and enter from left stage, Vegas. On a motorcycle. I had to pause at this point to catch my breath because bilble on a motorcycle is a sight (Sir, sir please).
Last episode i mentiond that vegas is a smooth guy and you know what, i stand by it. Like, we alrady know that he's bad news. A walking red flag. The rest of the bodyguards from the main family know it too, but porsche Doesn't. Because nobody told him. Kinn warned him away from the guy but didn't explain why and porsche's previous meetings with the guy were amicable enough.
And vegas takes shameless advantage of that fact. We know he's got someone leaking him information about what goes on in the mansion, so he knows about the punishment and knows about the isolation. He know that porsche is vulnerable. He brings a motorcycle, he's showing porsche they have common interests. He let's porsche drive, making a show of trust. he expresses concern and offer the support that he Knows porsche isn't getting anywhere else. Even his friends among the bodyguards still belong to kinn. But vegas is an ousider. He's not beholden to kinn, has actually shown in the past that he has no issue opposing him.
Vegas is tailoring this persona entirely to porsche and his situation. And it is working.
That scene of them arriving at the mansion, a small part of my brain was shrieking at vegas to get the fuck away from my boy, but the rest of me was just so, so relieved to see porsche smiling ear to ear, flushed and being offered support that he's not getting anywhere else, i didn't even care that it was coming from vegas.
And then kinn again. Being a cunt. And he doesn't even know that he's playing right into vegas' plan. Like how clear is the contrast between kinn's casual cruelty to vegas' (Fake) kindness in that scene? It might as well be projected against the night sky like the fucking batsignal. (Bitch if you don't pull your HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS I SWEAR-)
Korn and porsche's scene was one of the more interesting in the episode. Korn, as we've established know everything that's going on. As soon as porsche asks to be assigned to someone else papa korn knows that kinn pushed too hard. It's that extreme i was talking about earlier. Korn wanted kinn to think about appearances, but there's what things look like and then there's what they are. You have to strike the balance. Kinn did not.
Korn giving porsche a week at home is him giving kinn the oppurtunity (and a firm fucking nudge) to course correct. And he knows that kin will take it, because korn knows his son is absolutly fucking stupid for our boy porsche. It's also korn letting porsche get his balance back, not just because porsche is badly rattled and korn wants him to Want to stay, but also because if he's comfortable he's more likely to give kinn the opportunity to fix what he broke.
Porsche being back home was the balm to my soul, i was legit tearing up.
Pete is really is in his element this episode, being a good friend, talking sense whenever he opens his mouth, my boy is doing so good. (Also it's in this scene that i realise that kin is wearing eyeliner?! Like really sharp eyeliner, boy might be an asshole but he sure be slaying.) Can i personally thank whichever director was responsible for that scene, for giving us that full body shot so that we don't accidently forget that pete is saying all this meaningful stuff while butt naked in front of his boss?
Porsche hanging out with his friends was really nice, i kinda missed them. And them immediately clocking that something was wrong? I really love their dynamics. Like, it's clear that there's trust there, because back in ep 1 jom gave porsche the money and porsche took it even though it was obviously hard for him to do. I would have liked to maybe see porsche open up to them, but of course kinn had to come and crash the party.
Watching jom and tem air all the dirty laundry porsche gave them about kinn, to the man's face was hilarious, i was howling. Like this fucker was sitting there, slowly getting more and more murderous, having to smile through porsche's friends talking shit about him while porsche is downing beers like he's trying to drown himself, it was just Pure Gold XD
And then the friends leave and then there were two. Porsche is back to being uncomfortable, but he's also in his home turf, so he gets right down to it and asks and kinn flies off the handle (remember pips, kinn's brain shoves every coherent thought down the fucking garbage disposal as soon as porsche is in the picture, like this is not new, at this point it's a pattern) and then pauses and recalls pete's advice.
Listen this asshole looks like he's in Physical Pain trying to talk to porsche like a sane human being, i was relishing in every fucking moment of his suffering ok?
And then lo and behold our resident mafia bastard actually apologizes *shocked pikachu meme*. Like, i know, he actually said sorry, with his mouth and everything, this is Huge.
And of course they're interrupted before they can actually talk, of fucking course.
Jokes aside the action scenes were really good. Loved watching ken and big crash their bikes - this is karma bitches!! Also daddy chan headshooting the guy in the truck? that was Hot (i thirst for him a normal amount, shut up).
Was not expecting the kidnapping plot so soon, but i am absolutely not complaining. Is kinn still on my shit list? Yes. But i'm no longer inclined to hit him with a chair every time he's on the screen, so you know, progress :)
Now let's jump to kim(chay)'s plotline real quick. Kim is sneaky snoop and papa korn has absolutely got his number. Still not sure what he's looking for but consider me invested. Him trying to get info out of chay and instead getting to hear baby boy gushing about porsche for 10 whole minutes was funny as shit, and then trying to wave chay off only to find out the power of the Cute this boy has. Kim is helpless against, Helpless i tell you.
Also allow me to dedicte this entire paragraph to my king tankhun who know all, sees all and is the best boy. This is the tankhun show, do you hear me?!
All in all it was a good episode, this show is bringing everything to the table as always (can you tell that it has got me by the throat and won't let go?)
