Okay what is going on with tgcf? You've made a bunch of posts discussing different versions of it and now the last paragraph of the ask you just answered is thoroughly confusing me. The novels are uncensored, except for the edited version of tgcf, but there's no sex scenes, but there is an uncensored edited version that exists? I'm not following what's going on with all this edited uncensored unedited censored stuff. I bought all 8 volumes of the Seven Seas set because I enjoyed mxtx's other works and now I'm wondering if I've wasted my money on a hot mess that's so censored that I have to squint to figure out if the couple gets together?????

I’m sorry 😭 The stuff only sounds confusing because of the recent stuff, so let me try to simplify:

All the 7seas official releases of mxtx’s novels are uncensored. By uncensored, I mean that they include vulgar language, sex jokes, queer romance, actual sex when applicable, etc. Out of all the books, tgcf is the only one that didn’t have a sex scene written for its uncensored version, so despite the 7seas release being uncensored, it still will not have a sex scene. The pining, makeouts, innuendos, etc are still there. Hualian still has an unambiguous romance.

Now for the edited vs. unedited thing: after tgcf was licensed and being published by 7seas, mxtx wrote and released a massive edit of the whole book, meaning that the 7seas release is the unedited uncensored version of tgcf. She released this edited version as a novel, but because of where she released it, the edited novel only exists in censored form, so without the vulgar language, some sex jokes, and an explicit hualian romance (though it is still implied). No one has done a full fan translation of the edited version of tgcf yet, but some individual chapters have been translated and others who can read the raws have posted their own reactions and lists of changes.

As for where you can find the uncensored edited version of tgcf: audiodramas are not beholden to the same censorship laws as literature is, so the tgcf audiodrama that began updating in July 2023 is the only place you can find this version. The audiodrama closely follows the book, so listening to it should theoretically be a 1:1 for plot with the (as yet unreleased) uncensored edited novel.

Since you watched Nivarna In Fire, can I interest you with the trivia that Yan Yujin is dubbed over by the same voice actor who voiced WWX in The Untamed and the MDZS audiodrama? And Lin Chen is dubbed over by the same voice actor who did Xie Lian in Season 1 of the TGCF donghua and JGY from the MDZS audiodrama? (And Xiao Jingrui is dubbed the same guy who did LWJ in the audiodrama, which is kind of insane because I really can't tell even when I try to listen for it.)

As always, the TGCF audiodrama doesn't let me down. As much as I love Xie Lian being in pain, it's nice to return to the present and have some lighthearted fun with the heavenly officials being ridiculous as always.

Qi Rong is also hilarious, I think I get what they mean about him being kinder to Guzi in the revised version. I quite like it.

And finally!! My son Quan Yizhen showed up!!! He's perfect, has no idea how to interact with people, gets mad at his Shixiong being trash talked and beats his own followers! I love him so much.

The plays were hilarious, kudos to whoever wrote the hualian play

And of course, Xie Lian got his 3000 lanters o(TヘTo) it's what he deserves

listening to tgcf audiodrama and i was like these are interesting choices cus the plot points were like not in the order i remembered and was quite confusing to be honest well i just realized i managed to put it in shuffle. why is that even an option

About tgcf (Heavens official blessing)

A novel from MTXT, it's a global phenomon that gained adaptations in the form of: manhua, dongha (second season soon), audiodrama and live action (still in production)

We follow the story of Xie Lian (in the gif), a formor crown prince of the kingdom of Xian Le. As a formor martial god, he used to live on Earth until one day he ascended for the third time ( :0 ) and has to help the heavens to pay his debt caused by the damage of other heavens officials during XL ascending (have I mentioned XL is known for being extremelly unlucky?)

During the first arch we meet some other characters and get to know better the world of tgcf: The calamities and other officials

Pay attention to these names cause you'll see them a lot: Nan Feng, Fu Yao, Hua Cheng, San Lang, Mu Qing, Feng Xin, Jun Wu, Pei Ming, Ban Yue...

There are five original books, but they are a fast read when you're invested (like I was)

Without adding spoilers, you will see the mysteries of this world and their characters get untagled throughout the archs, you will be surpised with the character developments and the major plot twists

A soft bl story, their love story is definetely one of the most beautiful ones I have ever read about, it's really deep and true, (oh to have a relationship so faithful like theirs!)

But bear in mind that it's not all fluff, the characters stories are really complex, there are even some TW for major injuries, su!c!d3, g3noc!d3, and gor3. Rember folks, our xie lian is a martial god, he's super strong and is a specialist at swordmanship.

I guarantee, it's a balanced read (excpet book 4, oops) with amazing lore, powerfull battles, a little bit of comedy, romance and quite suffering.

If you're interested, I don't recommend searching more about it on tags, otherwise you'll get spoilers!!

In the US there's already official publications of the novel, but not in south america (as I'm aware of). I believe plenty of countries in Europe already have their official books.
