I don’t know who Jeremy Shamos’s agent is, but that person is hustling for him. First getting him cast as a supporting role in Only Murders in the Building season 3 as Dickie Glenroy, working opposite Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Paul Rudd, etc. Then he’s playing Mr. Gilbert, the Met’s fundraising guy on The Gilded Age, mostly working with Carrie Coon and Nathan Lane. Like the Devil works hard, but Jeremy Shamos’s agent works harder.

Where did Aunt Ada live?
In the series, it is mentioned that Ada has lived with Agnes since the death of Agnes’ husband, 10 years before the plot of gilded age start. But where did she live before that? Has it been mentioned? Because Marian didn’t know her, so Ada can’t have lived with Marian’s family even though it should have been Henry’s job to take care of her as her brother. Did Agnes or Henry give her an allowance so she could live by herself? I must knoooow

Sadly i didn't do well on my first round of TGA bingo lol
*spoilers for s2 ep2*
Even if i had included the servants repeating outfits(their uniforms) i wouldn't have gotten far.
Macallister is an historical figure so i guess there's that.
If only Agnes had yelled, if only it had been Larry the one showing jealousy involving Marian and instead of sex scene, said kiss or imply sex.

What Tony Nominated Actress should show up in HBO’s The Gilded Age?
Brian D’Arcy James won the men’s vote. Now let’s vote on the women.
I know more than one of these ladies are likely to make an appearance if we manage to get another season.

Watching Season 2 of The Gilded Age on HBO when it comes back on October 29? Play Bingo with us!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
How to Sign Up
Use this form to sign up for a card and/or submit an idea for a square by Friday, October 27:
How to Play
You can participate in any or all of the following ways:
Sign up for your own unique bingo card(s) with yours and others' predictions, ideas, and/or off-the-wall concepts, then play every week as the show airs (#tgabingo)
Submit a prediction for a bingo square using the form above and your submission will show up on bingo cards - no submission limit
Follow this blog and watch others play as the show airs - a poll will be posted every week to publicly track results
How Cards Will Work
Everyone who signs up for a card will receive one
All card squares will be tracked in a Google sheet as the show airs
Card(s) will have 20-25 squares dependent on submissions(s)
Card(s) may be grouped into themes dependent on skew of submission topics (e.g. "Season Premier", "Russell Household", "John/Oscar") - you don't need to play every card you have, and you don't need to play every week, either
More details below!
What Predictions Are Accepted?
They should be short - they need to fit on a bingo square! Longer predictions may be edited or broken down for clarity.
You can suggest squares related to story beats, props/costumes/sets, overall arcs, casting, etc. The sky is the limit and nobody is necessarily expected to be realistic, but submitting ideas you think are plausible or expect to happen will make the game more fun because it increases the chances of actually getting to mark a square. The sweet spot is a medium-ish level of specificity and plausibility.
Episode is optional but not required. (If you include an episode in your prediction, that prediction may or may not have the specified episode on every bingo card.)
Examples by Type
Story beats: Oscar proposes to Gladys
Costumes: Marian's first costume has a visible zipper down the back
Arcs: Larry moves to Newport
Cast: Robert Sean Leonard's character first appears in the first episode
Examples by Probability
Effectively guaranteed: The first episode will open with Easter
Plausible: Oscar proposes to Gladys in the first episode
Probably really unlikely: Anne and Aurora run away to France in the first episode
Examples by Specificity
Hyperspecific: One of George's workers dies in a manufacturing accident at the end of the third episode
Specific: A background character dies in the third episode
Not very specific and likely to end up as a free space: A character dies
When do I need to submit?
Card square suggestions close Friday, October 27. Everyone who has asked for a card by Friday, October 27 will have a card by 9pm Eastern Time on Sunday, October 29. (You can also sign up for a card at any time after that point, because it can be frustrating to find something after it's already started. And you can still submit a prediction if you want I guess, but it won't make it onto a bingo card.)
I can't play every week, how do I avoid spoilers?
Block the tags "#tgabingo" and the weekly tags, which will be "#tgabingo2x01", "#tgabingo2x02", etc. This blog will use those tags, and users participating are highly encouraged to use those tags as well as spoiler tags (e.g. "tga spoilers", "tgas2 spoilers").
Other questions?
Just ask!

The Gilded Age Bingo - S2E2
Thank you so much to @tgabingo for the card! This was a fun way to watch the episode this week.
Tumblr media
the marriage proposal was less 'declined' and more 'refused with extreme prejudice and intent to harm' but hey, you know, if it gets a square.
sadly, I have both 'historical figure namedrop' and 'historical figure appearance' and i didn't think it was okay to use both for the same person - Dick Sears was an American tennis champ and winner of the US National from 1881 to 1887.
I'm counting our character reveal jumpscare at the end of the episode as extreme cringe.
