A scene I think about alot/ has stuck with me from the third book is on of the Benjamimic deaths. Jack sets up a trap full of bear traps that Benjamimic falls for and gets torn apart by in a gruesome way. And as Benjamimic is wailing and screaming and pleading for

" Please god just send some help "

Jack isn't just standing there watching-- he eventually starts mocking the mimic crying out for help and Jack's just screaming with it as it wails and dies until it finally stops.

I've gotten super into Tales From the Gas Station again, so, I drew one of my favorite moments from Volume 3!!! [Both were done using an art base, I'm still practicing poses and I wanted them to look good]

Jack canonically having a youthful enough appearance that makes people mistaken him for a late teen if his hair grows out

Rosa’s crush on Jack being obvious to everyone except Jack, it’s a wonder how him and Sabine even got together in the first place if he’s this oblivious to Rosa

Spencer being Jack’s sleep paralysis demon, out of everyone and everything Jack’s seen it’s this guy from high-school that tried to kill him + Jack being so embarrassing Spencer had to tell him to get it together

Jack’s will where he wants Jerry to commit arson

The short Sabine and Jack flashback, I hope Volume 4 has more flashbacks of them

The conversation between Jack and Pops where he’s granted a day off; in some way I wonder if the owners knew that they were gonna die soon

Jack calling Howard “Doctor Huge Dick Howard” + the strange way he comes off as accidentally flirty to Howard, Dr V, and Rosa

Ok odd post but I gotta let people know since this is kinda wild. Yes yes, yes, Tales From The Gas Station, Clock is still hyperfixating after months. ANYWAYS, way back, years ago when I was into the series prior I was there for the "How Did We Get Here" ark. I still have art of tftgs from during that time that's up on this blog if you go back far enough.

I'm talking about the ark that was deleted, the one that became lost media, the draft versions of Volume 3.

TMA and TFTGS absolutely exist in the same universe

Nikola finds Jack absolutely delightful, in much the same way as she found Sebastian Skinner hilarious. She tries to get Jude to follow his blog, but Jude thinks anything related to the internet is for sweaty nerds, as if a constantly melting candle that knows about the stock market isn't the sweatiest nerd of them all.

(during the Jerry's head in a box / Benjamimics saga, Nikola messages the Avatar group chat with "RIP Jude Perry, you would have loved TFTGS Volume 3". Jude leaves her on read)

The Anglerfish tries to lure Jerry into the forest in order to steal his skin. Somehow Jerry ends up walking out of there completely unharmed and with multiple taxidermied human hides under his arm. The Anglerfish doesn't want to talk about it.

Breekon and Hope find the Twins too boring for words. Nikola thinks the four of them should be the best of friends. Breekon and Hope think that is kind of a hurtful stereotype. Not all giant menacing clown monsters are the same, c'mon man.

Michael / the Spiral sporadically pops in to the Gas Station via the various mysteriously appearing doors. He doesn't bother much with Jack (he found the whole Lydia Halligan situation depressing enough that it turned him off insomniacs) but he fucks with Tony and the Brick Roscoes on the reg.

The other Avatars refer to Roger as Annabelle's "creepy wooden son". To Annabelle, he's more like the embarrassing cousin who should be chained to a radiator in the attic and hidden away at parties. She keeps trying to manipulate Nikola into claiming him for the Stranger. Nikola gleefully tells her she would never dream of separating a mother from her baby.

Hithergreen Dissenters and the People's Church of the Divine Hope have both reached out to Shhhh. It did not go well. There may have been jerk-off gestures. From all six pairs of arms.

Tftgs/ Tales From the Gas Station started as a creepy pasta written by Jack Townsend (who named the main character after himself, something pretty common in creepypastas that pretend to be real) Jack (the character) is a Dude who Works at a Gas Station! However weird shit happens at this gas station! There are garden gnomes that keep appearing, people go missing in the near by woods, theres a ghost cowboy in the bathroom, huge mutant racoons, hand-plants (just plants that look and act like human hands), and not to mention the cult in the woods and the whole thing with that dark god!

Jack doesn't care to much, Jack just wants to get his pay check and read his books in peace. (Jack also physically cant sleep he has fatal familial insomnia a genetic condition that shuts down the part of your brain that allows for sleep and its 100% fatal! Dont worry about that tho <3) so on top of working a shitty dead end job, and actively dying, and there being monsters demons ghosts crypids and The Fucking Racoons, Jack is also fucking *exhausted* 24/7<3

The creepypasta starts off with him saying his therapist told him to start journaling, so he started his own blog! To just talk about the stuff in his life, and because he works like 80+ hours a week and has no friends or family he basically only talks about work and the gas station!

Book 1/vol1 follows the same plot at the original creepypasta (jack starts the blog, New Weird Shit starts happening, MARLBORO!!!!, the whole dark god thing, the whole Spencer Fucking Middleton wants him dead thing, and the whole zombie cultist thing, happens and at the end it nicely ties all that stuff together and gives an explanation for it thats jsut enough it feels earned but its not overly explained. And then New Weird Shit starts up again!) the main difference between vol 1 and the creepypasta is 1. The book has a lot more character development and character interactions 2. The creepypasta is only blog entries, where as the book is ment to be jack taking the blog entries and putting them together in order and added extra details where he sees fit 3. We get to meet jacks therapist in the book! I fucking hate him! And 4. The last 20ish pages of the book set up a cliffhanger for the next books

After that there's volumes 2/3/4 for the Main Story, and extra books that aren't needed for the series but they are still really fun over all the official order is this, have fun deciphering it, its a bit confusing but pretty much the 4 volumes in order will get you the majority of the story

I just finished the second book and im absolutely feral i dont want to give to many spoilers but like spencer and jack my beloved toxic yaoi, they cant stop killing each other<3333

i loved jerry sooooo much in book one i almost started crying when he "died" and i LOVE all the character development he got in book 2, in book 1 he was very flat and one dimensional stereotypical "stupid himbo smokes weed and cigarettes fucks constantly" (tbh almost glenn close like character) but he got SO much more emotions and development and personality in the second book and if that tread continues i will be blessed. Jerry my beloved favorite ex cult member with abandonment issues i would die for you

DO YOU LIKE COOL POC WOMEN??? WE GOT TWO!!!! Amelia/Amy, cop(bad but like she fictional i can forgive her) black woman! Near the end of book one Tom (a different cop) dies, Tom was basically the gas stations babysitter, because insane shit happened so much they needed a cop whos only job was checking on the gas station. After Tom dies hes replaced by Amelia as the new Official Gas Station babysitter! And personal Jack Taxi because after The Stuff With The Hole and Spencer, Jack cant drive anymore so Jerry and Amelia are his personal chauffeurs. And Rosa Vasquez my cutie pie shes very "short cute girl" like however! Shes will not hesitate to let you have at her fury! Rosa is so relatable i love her, when Jack askes her to take the job again (after he accidentally kept standing her up) shes really nice in polite and then dose a full 180° telling his ass off for being so unprofessional and a dick and half way through her rant she says "IM NOT CRYING BECAUSE IN SAD OR WEAK ITS BECAUSE IM SO ANGRY AT YOU" before she keeps yelling at him. And then dose a full 180° again and thanks him for the job😭 shes just like me frfr shes SO nice and kind but can and will rip you a new one if needed<3

Also i need you to know Jack is NOT a cool protagonist hes soooo fucking weak and lame, this man keeps getting the shit beat out of him, and cant fight back to save his life (literally) the best he can do is call Tom/Amy and ask for help, dude cant even run after The Hole And Spencer Incident, hes life is in CONSTANT danger and he barely cares half the time and when he dose care all his ass can do is hope jerry/amy/tom/tony/rita/rosa/etc can save his ass😭 he successfully fought back like once. Poor little meow meow ass main character i love him so much he just wants to read his books ALSO JACK CANON DISABILITY REP!!!!!!! Both the one i already mentioned and uhhh some stuff happens in vol 2.......
