Tales from the Gas Station Volume One
"...then slowly, very slowly, I pushed the entire stack of cultist pamphlets across the counter, off the edge, and into the wastebasket, maintaining eye contact with him the entire time.
He shrugged it off"
Everyone saying Jack and Jerry have black cat / golden retriever vibes is one hundred percent correct.

When Dr. Vicedomini brings up how Jacks biological father is still alive when trying to convince him that he doesn’t have FFI, it’s very telling to me that Jacks first response is that of course. Bad people who deserve to die always continue to live. It definitely says something about what Jack thinks about himself that Jack thinks good people always die early and bad people outlive them. He describes his father as a hurricane that hurts people, do you think he thinks of himself in the same way. How many of his fathers traits both physical and in character do you think Jack recognizes in himself.

Jack Townsend from Tales from the Gas Station-OSDD-1A (headcanon)
"He has a traumatic childhood and only remembers it in parts.
In multiple instances within the series he is shown as forgetting events that have recently happened to him and things he just did. At one point in the series he begins digging holes behind the gas station and refers to someone else piloting his body to do that:
'I found myself digging again. Sometimes, on slow nights, I let myself drift. My mind goes somewhere and when I come to, I wonder: where was I just now? Who was that controlling my body while I was gone?
My body did those things I’ve done so many times before that I guess it’s learned how to do them without me. My body restocked the cigarettes, my body rotated the frozen drink machine, my body scraped the mold off the bottoms of the ice buckets, my body emptied the rat traps, and somewhere along the way, my body found a shovel, went out back, and started digging a hole.
Actually, I shouldn’t say my body “started” digging. I have been, or rather “my body” has been digging this hole, off and on for the last few months. Usually, I come to after a few shovel-fulls. This time, I added another foot deep before I snapped back to reality and asked myself, “what the hell am I doing?”' -The Dark God (Part 3)"
