what r ur opinions on jack/jerry/rosa, or even jack/jerry/rosa/obrien?

Love it! They all have unique chemistry to each other and a polycule would be on my dream ship right after Jack/Jerry.

They all have their uniqe relationships with Jack and each other but there's just so much chemistry in general between all the characters, they riff off each other, they know each others rhythyms and energies, they care and depend on each other much more than they do with anyone else.

Besides I'm a sucker for "guy who thought he was going to die alone suddenly finds himself surrounded with more love than he knows what to do with"

I'm on the fence about Amy losing her memories of Jack and their relationship. It was extremely interesting to see Amy and Jack interact where they're kinda pitted against each other and to have Jack be like "oh yeah remember when we committed crimes together :)" while Amy is like "are you confessing to comitting crimes in front of a cop" was extremely funny at times

But I feel like the book at least needed a bit more interaction between Amy and Jack at the end, to acknowledge how much this affected their relationship and how important it was to get their friendship back

I do wish Amy had gone with them on their roadtrip in the end, but I also understand her choice to stay behind. She's fierce and if anyone can keep a handle on things, it'll be her.

I hope in the future we'll see more interactions between the four of them again!

1st pic is from 27 and is Jerry defending Jack after Wendy (Jack's foster sister) was being condescending and rude.

pic 2 is from page 55 and basically Rosa is crying because she accidentally stepped on a lizard and killed it :( but dont worry the dark god brought it back :)

pic 3 is from page 88 and right after Jack was brought back to the gas station when he tried to leave town after he found out Sabine died. It's a really sad moment because Jack is so out of it and still very much grieving but I do find it sweet how worried Jerry got and how he basically panic bought a puppy trying to find some way to help like,,, he really cares about Jack a lot ;-;

pic 4 is from page 116 when Jack was dreaming/hallucinating/??? Spencer and Sabine showed up and killed dream-Spencer. Also Jack, seeing Sabine covered in Spencer's blood and smiling: God my gf is so fucking gorgeous (and honestly good for him!!)

pic 5 is from page 125 and after Jack got arrested for harassing Kieffer (I think?) and Jerry "broke in" to check on him

pic 6 is on page 157 and is after Jack, Benji and Whitebeard (one of the guys who attacked Jack and Jerry in vol 2) got kidnapped by the Brick Roscoes. man, I just love Jack's and Benji's friendship

pic 7 is on 252 and right before Jack, Rosa and Travis headed to Miller (Jack's bio dad) and I fucking how they're both protective over each other

pic 8 is from 305 and basically the gang are tied up and chained at the mathmetist compound by Roger's orders and a demon that is hunting Jack showed up (Jack got free from the chain by disconnecting his prosthetic leg)

pic 9 is on page 317 and is Jack and Sabine talking during a dream/hallucination/I don't know man it gets pretty muddled

and lastly pic 10 is from page 382 and is Jerry talking to O'Brien, right as Jerry, Jack and Rosa were about to leave town. I honestly think Jerry and O'Brien is one of my favorite dynamic in all of the books, wish we got more of that duo

More Tales from the Gas Station Frankenplush?

a list of TFTGS-inspired plushies that I want to make but haven't yet:

O’Brien (maybe using an alsatian / german shepherd base?)

Benji (maybe a bear, maybe with six arms ala the end of Vol 4?)

Spencer (possibly with one hand, could I make a tiny version of a sockpuppet to replace it? Base beast could be a fox or a weasel or something else that would be a villain in Wind in the Willows. I know he's not actually canonically ginger, but let's be honest, he's absolutely ginger)

Travis (not sure what the base plush would be, but I have seen fan art of him as a deer which I loved, so maybe?) (Eta it's this one by @maggotlands btw)

Sergeant Pupper version of Gaston - ill need to get better at safety eyes and also get some new buttons to pull it off

I was gonna send a ship ask abt jack/jerry/rosa but someone beat me to the punch lol, anyways I agree on yr thoughts on the changes in book 4 to Amy and Jack's relationships except I'm fully on the side of hating it. Like the way their relationship progressed and we got so see them getting closer and Amy open up a bit and be more involved in the gas station buisness and then hitting a full reset felt so lame. And like. I feel like any other cop could've filled her role in Vol. 4 , I wish we got to see more progression to her relationship with the gasstation crew (and esp Jack) instead of a total regression/reset. Idk it just makes me very dissapointed

I feel like it would've worked if there was a book 5. If for Vol 4 we got to see a regression and then a Vol 5 came out where we got to see them nurture that relationship a bit more.

While I do like certain aspects of Amy not remembering Jack and seeing him as a murderer, I agree that she deserved to further her friendship with him just as Jerry and Rosa did in the last book.

Jack is technically still writing for the Gas Station, albeit it short stories right now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more Amy in the future. And maybe one day we'll get another book in the series? I hope she gets to play a bigger role in it
