In volume 4 there are hints that Jack burned Spencer’s house down in high school twice.

Okay, do you think Spencer was more mad at Jack for killing him or for not remembering that he killed him?

Because it would be very fucking hypocritical for him to get pissed at Jack for committing Murder when Spencer is literally. Like That.

And also because the whole thing of stalking Jack, threatening him over the phone, forcing him to dig his own grave, torturing him and shoting his friend in front of him felt like he was getting a little too homoerotic with his revenge.

Like he was so excited to have an Arch Nemesis he could go back-and-forth with, someone he could kill and someone who could kill him back

Only for Jack to not remember killing him.

Like that must've been such a disappointment to Spencer, who did all of those aforementioned things for completely normal and not at all homosexual reasons.

pic 1 is from page 35 and right after O'Brien yelled at Jack when she found out he didnt tell her about Spencer calling the gas station and also I think their relationship is just so so so asrghirkjekj

pic 2 is from page 100 when O'Brien dropped Jack off at the gas station right before they found what happened to Calvin and all that

pic 3 is on page 124 and when Jack and Jerry found the letter and gun that Jack's "biggest fan sent him" and the fact that Jerry thinks of himself as Jack's biggest fan is really fricking cute

pic 4 is on page 180 when Jack was trying to comfort Jerry after Vanessa died

pic 5 is from page 185 and is later during that same day and is Jack and Jerry arguing over the Russian radio

pic 6 is on page 204 and when Rosa was chewing out Jack for how he kept scheduling a job interview for her and missing it

pic 7 is from page 229 and a conversation between Jack and O'Brien when the whole gang was hiding out in the gas station from Sagoth

pic 8 on page 287 and is after the whole drama with Sagoth and pic 9 is from 288 and when Rosa successfully dealt with her first customer

Didn't realize Volume 4 was out and gosh, I'm halfway through and what speaks to me is Jack's relationship with his dad rings home..

It's why I always feel it's so hard to explain abusive parents to people who didn't grow up with it. The 1000s of times they were okay, is conflicting with the major asshole/or general neglect.

The comment of it "it'd be easier to hate him if he was a 100% a piece of shit instead of 99%."
