hi, can i ask you something about tfhf qimir? i was reading shadow the other day and there's that bit where he's going home after beating yord up and imagining osha covered in blood. is that meant to be his newfound fear of his own potential for violence/fear that he might end up putting osha in danger because of who he is, or is it Flashbacks to Past Trauma?

Hi! That's a really great question.

I would say mostly the former, but there's definitely a little bit of past trauma in there!

There's so much going on in his head in that moment, and it's this mixture of relief and hope that maybe, finally, Osha is choosing him, blended with the anxiety and fear that if she is choosing him, then that means she's choosing that side of him, too, whether she fully understands that or not, and the very real possibility that that could put her in danger--because of him and what his life is, or from him.

Qimir knows that he is someone who is not only capable of violence but who, at times, thrives on it, and I think in that moment it's a flash of that self-sabotaging fear of his creeping in.

Poor guy just gets a little mixed up sometimes! 🥲
