It actually annoys me so bad when people say they won’t watch TFA or Beast Wars just because of their looks. SKILL ISSUE. Its not like a “Dull Surprise” situation (insert tfwiki link here) where the style takes away from telling a successful story. The TFA and Beast Wars styles are fully realized and do what they need to do to tell the (fun and good) narratives they want to tell. Next you’ll tell me you can’t watch a critically acclaimed movie because all the actors cast in it are ugly. 🙄

whenever i think about prowlbee confessing i legit cannot picture either of them going to the other and admitting their feelings. prowl sees bumblebee as an obnoxious, impulsive, and aggravating bot he’d be embarrassed to spend time with in public. bumblebee thinks prowl has a stick up his ass with how often he’s nagging bee for some sort of “incorrect behavior.” if either of them had to choose between confessing to each other or going a month without energon they’d choose the latter

however. both of them are very close to bulkhead. bee and bulk went to boot camp together and bee made it clear he appreciates bulk’s friendship more than anything else. prowl decided to train bulkhead of his own volition and trusted him enough to request his help to secretly bringing the dinobots to their island, which he trusted nobody else with

so i can absolutely prowl and/or bumblebee going to bulkhead, rambling about how much they dislike the other and yet cannot get them out of their heads, and they need help. i just picture bulk in the morning listening to prowl rant about bee’s flaws and how he always has the urge to get up close to him for some unknown reason, and in the afternoon listening to bee complain about how uptight prowl is and how he enjoys poking fun at him because then he gets angry and up in his space, which is a normal thing to want

and bulkhead is just like. okay. and he has to listen to them so much that he can’t take it anymore and sets up a trap where they have to confess and be honest. which neither of them expected purely bc they didn’t think bulkhead was capable of pulling a trick like that

anyways that’s prowlbee confession to me and it takes them at least 4 months or longer for all of this to happen

I love a good yap session about "Decepticons are super intense and stealing away brides", but I think it'd be funnier if actually that was an Autobot thing that developed after the Decepticons were banished from Cybertron. It's considered a super cute puppy crush move to break into someone's house and botnap them for a day or two.

Shockwave is the first Decepticon to find this out when he wakes up in a dark room tied to a chair in his Longarm form. He doesn't know why he's here. Has his cover been blown? Right as he's ready to burst out of there, an Autobot shuffles forth, shoving into his face a box full of energon goodies and confessing their love for him.

The only reason Megatron believes this actually happened is because Shockwave is not the kind of bot to make jokes like that.

Just some general crushing/relationship headcanons.

Optimus prime

He's absolutely shocked when he realizes he's fallen for a human.

He struggles a bit with the idea of a human and a cybertronian being together and how realistic it may or may not be.

Is definitely a bit nervous interacting with you one on one.

Tries to keep his cool but fails miserably lol.

Has made it his mission to protect you at all costs.

Despite his nervousness, he's quite affectionate.

It's just little things, but all stuff he knows you'd appreciate.

Always listen to you when you talk.

He remembers everything you say and will take note of like, dislikes, wants, and needs.

Takes him forever to muster up the courage to tell you how he feels.

His smile when you say you like him back is to die for.

This man yearns for cuddles but is too worried about hurting you or invading your personal space to just do it.

You gotta offer the cuddles.

Boundaries are number 1 on his priority list in a relationship.

This man is the definition of tsundere.

Can't figure out how in the wide world he ended up falling for a human.

It's a rare thing for him to say anything nice to you, but when he does, you can feel the sincerity behind them.

He would definitely end up confessing to you while protecting.

You'd probably have to be the one to confess first for this guy.

Is absolutely shocked that you like him too.

His main love language is 100% physical touch.

Would be too afraid of crushing you to cuddle up to you.

But when you cuddle up to him, oh gosh, you just made his day, no, his whole year.

Is definitely afraid to hug for similar reasons.

Practices gentle hugging on sticks and such just so he can.

Complimenting his art is another easy way to make his day.

As well as letting him infodump about random art facts.

I love MegOP in pretty much every other continuity, but I can't stand TFA MegOP. I feel like they lack the history and chemistry that typically makes the Megatron/Optimus dynamic interesting, and people mostly just write generic yaoi tropes with them. On a related note, I hate that a lot of TFA fanartists and writers portray Optimus as this blushing naive uke when he's a grown ass man

Only one I found (without really specifically looking for it) is from tfa where Blurr lives by being stuck in a flight frame. But its still ongoing and haven't actually reached the romance territory

(If you're curious, it's called 'Turbulence' by Drazyrohk and Harutemu. The second fic in the series is supposed to involve Shockblurr)

SUMMARY

Basically you were an Elite guard that was visually deceiving. You were short but strong both mentally and physically. This caught Bumblebee’s eye and he slowly grew a lingering love for you.

After the battle between Optimus and Megatron, everything toned down. Bumblebee came into your quarters as you were training like he did everyday but today you snapped. You have noticed a change in him and how he was always distancing you from your pupils and acquaintances, creating an uncomfortable environment for both parties.

You confronted Bumblebee and Bumblebee confesses his love for you and asks for you and him to get together. You deny his request and try to kick him out. This only makes Bumblebee burst and snap at you back, yelling and telling you how much he has sacrificed. He only stops and leaves when you threaten to hurt him.

He usually made the environment for you and him uncomfortable temporarily, today seemed permanent.

FANFIC

(Y/N) was a quiet but buff femme. Despite your height, you really knew how to take advantage of the height differences these primes have given to these bots. You have mastered the skills of martial arts and have earnt your ranking in the Elite Guards. You were small but threatening.

Bumblebee met you when you arrived on Earth with the other Elite Guards, there to retrieve the allspark. As Optimus leaves with Ultra Magnus and Sentinel Prime to lead them to where they have last fought, Jazz, you and the rest of the Autobots stay behind. You gave Jazz a look of harsh disappointment and this made Bumblebee jeer a bit, slowly gaining an interest in you.

Fast forward to when Megatron was defeated. You and Bumblebee were pretty good mates. He always disturbed your training, busting into your quarters and jumping around while talking about how his day was. You didn’t mind at all. He did this literally everyday, every single cycle.

Honestly, Bumblebee was like a magnet. Anytime he saw you near, he would immediately run up to you and connect to you. He wouldn’t leave you alone until you physically threaten him. He has learnt from the first few times where you have beaten his ass in mere seconds, but he still likes to dunk onto your head every once in a while.

But slowly overtime, he seemed off. You weren’t the type to get psychological when it came to attachment but Bumblebee seemed a bit too weird to you. He was just way too clingy, he never was able to say goodbye and he always scared off her friends. Bumblebee slowly became possessive over her, trying to protect her when her friend makes a joking threat for no reason.

Fast forward to now, you were doing your usual routine. You picked up a piece of strong metal from the pile and hung it up, lining it up to be in your range. You backed up and swung your leg at it, spinning yourself and ripping through the metal. You were a killer machine and you were proud. The metal was ripped through the part you kicked and bent from the force, the usual. You ripped it off from the ceiling’s seal and threw it into the other pile of discarded metal.

Just as you were about to get another piece, your doors opened and you sighed quietly. The bright yellow bot rushed in and hugged you. He rubbed his palm against your helm, laughing obnoxiously. He had a slight bit of tensity in his voice, something that was unusual. You pushed the taller bot away and scoffed, putting your weight on one leg and frowning slightly.

”That’s enough. What is it?” You spoke up. You gritted your teeth as you finally have reached your limit. You needed to know about Bumblebee’s sudden change and why he has turned so… Possessive.

”What do you mean? Do I have something on me?” Bumblebee spoke up, puzzled.

”No, you seem off. I am not stupid. You have been arguing with all of my pupils and acquaintances. You have created an uncomfortable space for them and I want to know your reasoning for this.”

”They’ve been rude to you! They keep saying bad stuff about you behind your back- and- and they talk scrap about you but you never noticed! Yeah-“

“Bumblebee, do not lie to me. I know when you are lying, it is not organic science. Tell me why you have been so unreasonably possessive over me and your reason for this. Why have you been forcing me to distance from my own pupi-“

“Because I love you!”

”… Sorry?”

“I love you, is that so hard to understand!? You are so cool and you let me hug you unlike anybody else! Your appearance and height makes you look so cute but your strength makes you hot and- Frag… Just… Can we please get together, I won’t distance you or get in the way of your friends again, I’m sorry.”

“Bumblebee, it isn’t that simple. Get out of my sight and let me reflect on this encounte-“

“NO! I’ve done so much for you! Can’t you just accept me and we can love each other!? These other mechs are nothing compared to me, I can actually show you what true love feels like. I can make your spark grow! Do you not understand how much I’ve done?! I apologised so you should forgive me!”

”Get out of my sight before I rip your optics out.”

Bumblebee gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. Usually he would rebel in a situation like this, but you were definitely stronger than him. He just wanted to jump onto you and show you his love, embrace you and show you that he is all you really needed.

”Please… I- I already have sacrificed so much - forgive me…”

“I will think about it… Get out.”

Bumblebee made his way out of your quarters, distraught and tense. You just stared at him as he left, you did not think he was the type of bot to be so forward and off-leading. His love does explain his actions but it felt so wrong. You weren’t sure if you could forgive him after his outburst, you know he only meant well but you really couldn’t risk such a hazard to be in your life. You have had your optics on him for a while now yourself, but this occurrence has changed your mind drastically.

Seemingly your time with him was all for nothing, it was just dirty water that needed to be poured down the sink.
