Taking a small break from Birdtress posting tonight to avoid losing my mind, so I re-drew this absolutely STUNNING volume cover art from @redmarqar ‘s tf2 rock au! I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but I finally scraped my brain together enough to do it, and I like how it turned out!

It was really refreshing to work on :) I really liked the sort of allusion to possible Teefies in the og image so I decided he would get them in this even more so. The colors played a little weird on his skin but oh well

Tf2 dragon au time! I've had these guys in my brain for years and I finally decided to update them. So ask me anything and enjoy!

(please dont ask about the Sydney Sleeper would logistically work. Please I don't want to this about the biological implications of that modification.)

Despite his wings, Scout can't actually fly. He never learnt how to and can't get more than a flap or two in before losing coordination.

Soldier here works nearly identically to his human counterpart. Though he lacks the shotguns.

Surprisingly in this universe it's common for dragons to lack or have very rudamentary flame sacs. Course, Demo here has no need for spitting out hot rocks like the others, not when he's got his bombs.

Medic used to be a student of Merasmus, Studying healing and black magic. He doesn't care about beating up his old mentor every year though

Spy was a damn nightmare to design and incorporate gameplay designs into. His mimic ability is akin to that of an octopus or cuttlefish, changing colours and contorting himself to copy the shape of his target. The disguises are terrible and yet they still work for just long enough to get in striking distance.

Idea for the silly goofy caveman au:

Archimedes as some sort of albino terrorbird (look it up they’re gorgeous beasts) would be one hell of a sight

Even better if the BLU medic has some sort of opposite to the beefed up birdy that Archimedes is

Honestly i wanted to give medic like a white owl or maybe rock pigeon since Albinism is form of mutation so im not exactly sure if it would make sense that prehistoric animals would have albinism BUT at the same time what the hell this is tf2 universe everything is possible so there might be albino terro birds hell yeah

For now i just keep medic with and snow owl but i will keep looking for some other species that would resemble archimedes.

there are two, count em, two fics where soldier either pops up in equestria or has just,,been here,, the whole time for no reason and those two fics have worked perfectly in their own way. now i love this au bc soldier is written in character and yet he still cares and learns a lesson and its SAPPY and SWEET.

also ft equestria girls; rainbow rocks bc i keep. i keep picturing Sniper singing with Twilight (as well as the other mercs and the rest of the mane 6) and its a whole music video in my head with the mercs coming in to help and being excited/annoyed bc they have to sing to win instead of using weapons but getting real into it. its sappy and very cheesy but thats the POINT, that’s the WHOLE POINT, its putting these tough guy mercs in situations that can’t be solved with weapons and have to be solved with ~friendship~
