The Animorphs discover this thanks to being detained in the fish-people's library, which has hundreds of years worth of METICULOUSLY documented genealogies 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Which Ax can somehow magically read, comprehend, and analyse after a few minutes of flipping through some of the library's tomes (thank god there's an Autism Alien on the team or they never would have figured out this completely dumbassed plot thread) 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

The fish-people can successfully interbreed with "The Surface-Dwellers" (or otherwise somehow do their DNA-splicing shenanigans) but the resultant demi-fish-people aren't a solution to their population crash, as interbreeding causes the fish-people to lose their species' specialised adaptations for living underwater: webbed fingers and toes, drastically oversized eyes, and motherfucking goddamn GILLS somehow 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

So because this didn't fix their problem, plan B of the fish people is to take the yeerks combat submarine (which can also fly 🙄, turn invisible 🙄🙄, and cause its echolocation/sonar profile to appear as though it was a very large humpback whale rather than an alien spaceship 🙄🙄🙄), and use this to wage a war of conquest against "The Surface-Dwellers", backed up by their highly limited arsenal of human weapons looted from sunken human ships and submarines (including, Marco presumes, the nukes from at least one Russian submarine) 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

(how and why the fish-people think a war of conquest would fix any of their shit in any way whatsoever is not explained)

The fish-people are fully amphibious and don't cope well with being out of the water, yet on the other hand they have built their little city on 'land' (in the air bubble of their underwater cave kingdom) and are happily living their little lives out of water to some degree or another 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

The Animorphs discover the creepy museum of human-taxidermy dioramas, morph into owls to scope out the fish-people city, get captured by the fish-people the instant they demorph, and are then invited to a banquet hosted by the queen of the fish-people so that she can monologue exposition at them 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Also, the Yeerk submarine can fire its Dracon beam weapons underwater, despite it being previously established that the weapon technology they stole from the Andalites (Shredder beam) was originally designed to be fired in the vacuum of space, and that firing in atmosphere can cause a catastrophic blowback effect proportional to the atmosphere's density. Presumably they've successfully developed adaptations to mitigate that blowback effect for usage in atmosphere, but under water?! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

anyway, her name is Hydrolock and she's a total failwoman with sonar instead of normal optics. and as the sonar she's annoying and sometimes loud. not the most loyal decepticon & definitely not the most useful, so i think she joined the autobots later at some point

April's @tfwiki Patreon-backed pics go back to 2003, with Takara's Legend of the Microns-exclusive Exdimension Microns!

These 3-packs were sold at regular retail, but in smaller numbers than the normal decos.

These new decos had quite a range, some bright, some subdued, and some nonsensical, like this oddly-jungle-like version of the Space Team. And many weren't mere 1:1 color replacements and got new paint layouts, as the Space Team again demonstrates.

ALMOST every Mini-Con Team 3-pack got a normal Exdimensions release, but there are two exceptions. The Street Action Team was only available towards the end of the line in the Toys"R"Us exclusive "Magna Convoy DX" multi-pack, and the Street Speed Team had no Exdimensions version at all!

The Grumman S-2 Tracker (S2F prior to 1962) was the first purpose-built, single airframe anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft to enter service with the United States Navy. Designed and initially built by Grumman, the Tracker was of conventional design — propeller-driven with twin radial engines, a high wing that could be folded for storage on aircraft carriers, and tricycle undercarriage. The type was exported to a number of navies around the world. Introduced in 1952, the Tracker and its E-1 Tracer derivative saw service in the U.S. Navy until the mid-1970s, and its C-1 Trader derivative until the mid-1980s, with a few aircraft remaining in service with other air arms into the 21st century. Argentina and Brazil are the last countries to still use the Tracker. Design and development- The Tracker was intended as a replacement for the Grumman AF Guardian, which was the first purpose-built aircraft system for ASW, using two airframes for two versions, one with the detection gear, and the other with the weapon systems. Had this guy done for a while now but was hoping to have something else ready to pair with him, but it's gonna be a while before said item is ready so here he is, custom Legacy Armada Hot Shot, already my favorite custom this year mainly cause Armada is both my favorite TF series and my first, and while I'm not 100% certain on this, the original Hot Shot figure is possibly my first Transformer figure ever, if not him than the Super Base Optimus, so having this figure made really is a dream come true and painting it was honestly an honor of sorts given how much this franchise means to me. But as far as the figure goes, used blue angel yellow as the base, gloss black, silver, red, and blue, graphite metallic, and flat grey. For the Autobot logo, I used a Toy Hax raised logo sticker as the original toy had a raised sigil and wanted to replicate it, cut out the edges of it to get it to fit and painted over it and it looks good I think. Used a gap filler set I got on ebay (link below) to help make this look better and it definetly helps, didn't use the guns or barrel cause didn't want to, and I also gave him the StarSaber that the Legacy Armada Starscream came with cause the first episode I have recorded of the series on vhs is Hot Shot with the StarSaber that introduces Scavenger so ye. For the StarSaber, I went and removed the 5mm post that was on the front of the hilt to make it look more streamline and as a result, also game me a pretty good premade minicon symbol dot to fill in with paint zo that worked out really well. Afterwards, I used flat white as a coat, than gloss white and blue, and flat sky blue for the blade. Also cut out the little fillers between the blade and the legs of what would be Sonar in the sword to help give it a better profile (which was nerve racking) and ye, they turned out well. Overall, very happy I with how this turned out, can't wait to do more Armada figures as they hopefully come out as Megs and Prime are on the roaster and as Starscream is already in my collectoon he'll definetly be on the list to paint.

The dragon had been with Merga for a while now. She felt lucky that she found her so quickly! Who knew she'd be in Parusa? And who knew Parusa would have such a vast recess of water dragon technology!!! It was incredible to look at. This was just what she wanted too. More information about her people, maybe information about her family. Maybe things would get easier from here. Maybe she wouldn't have to worry so much anymore.

The dragon was currently trying to figure out that water dragon language!! It was really tough to get down!!! But she was interrupted by the wrist bracer she had found while searching the place. She didn't know what it did, but Merga had told her to put it on, that she might find out more about it if she just used it. That is, if she could figure out how.

So, when a little message popped up on it's sensors (apparently from some sort of gray face?), she was cautious, curious, but decided to answer either way.

"Carol? She's the best friend anyone could ask for. Used to call her my tail, too! Seriously, the bond we have is unlike anything else!!! We always did everything together, too. From watching the stars to grocery shopping to even sleeping together sometimes! And don't get me started on how much butt we kicked way back when!!!"

TFRQ Longarm Prime, a submarine who towers over everyone by a ridiculous degree at nearly 50 feet tall. He’s very sweet and honest despite being leader of the Autobot Intelligence division back on Cybertron. His only enemies are low doors and ceilings.

Longarm is something of an oddity, being a young mech with an aquatic altmode when similar mutations were incredibly rare at the time he was forged. Not only is his altmode bizarre for his age, there doesn’t seem to be a record of when or where he was forged outside of what was filed when he joined the Autobots; no one seems to know him from before he became a soldier; and his sheer size is more than a little bizzare for any Autobot, let alone one made during the heat of the war. These are all questions brought up and furiously inspected by Longarm himself, because shortly after the war ended an unknown assailant attacked him and removed all of his memories from before he was an Autobot.

Luckily, the attack hasn’t impacted his ability to lead Autobot Intel at all, and he continues to perform his job admirably. There probably isn’t anything on Cybertron he doesn’t know. He’s somewhat notorious for recruiting odd characters who don’t seem to fit in anywhere else, but who turn out to be remarkable at their jobs. Some of his agents include super-fast minicon Blurr, bite-sized spy Windup, loud and flashy deep cover agent Punch, and ground-level informant Swerve. They’re still recovering from several losses during the war, including presumed-dead Arcee and permanently recovering Cliffjumper.

Managed to scribble up this guy’s robot mode today, so I can post him along with his altmode study sketch! (Kaman SH-2.)

His name is “Seasprite” - yes, that’s pretty much the actual helo’s name, but I liked it. It sounded TF enough! It might be a nickname he ended up taking up, if anything, based on his backstory.

Also wow it’s about time I posted some OC stuff. I know I started out with a lot of fan art stuff around here, but at some point I want to add original designs too!

This nerd ended up getting his alt mode from an aircraft carrier museum (Specifically, the USS Midway,) thinking it was an active duty warship at the time. (He was not yet briefed on How Things Work on this planet.) Shenanigans ensue!

Seasprite ends up keeping the SH-2 mode, and just chills part-time as a museum display as a disguise, befriending a few members of the volunteer crew who end up finding out the truth! (I had a story in mind for this which I should write sometime, if I can find the patience.)

He’s a super chill mech, who would rather just fly around and listen to the sounds of the ocean via his sonar buoys than fight anyone (he enjoys oceanography and is really interested in Earth’s marine life...!)

I could probably have him upgrade to a, SH-2G “Super Seasprite” at some point, but since these machines are no longer in service in the US either way, it wouldn’t exactly matter. At most - if he just paints himself the same grey as a UH-1Y, he could loosely pass as one, I doubt anyone (except avgeeks and some military folks) would even notice, ha!
