OK bitches but can we speak about their potential... I really wish nightbird could appear in tfp as a MECH ( or else) creation and then become a decepticon

i like to think that she would be one of the few that megatron would actually like and he would maybe even respect her (despite her origin) and draw parallels between her and soundwave (both are good at their jobs, both are great fighters and both are guys who don't talk by choice)

in fact, there is really something to think about here and I will develop it further

woah so Outright Games is releasing another transformers title, a racing game! very excited for this. The maps look gorgeous and it seems like an easy game to learn. 11 total playable characters who you can level up, four of whom are written as gals; Elita One, Arcee, Flamewar, and Nightbird:

@yonker-tonker we figure people might have told you already that she's in this! she looks so damn cool, love the ankle wheels, yellow biolights, the pink sword...

personally love that this Arcee doesn't have much curve in her waist and has broad shoulders, and is a mix of her bbm and sunbow look with cyan biolights and pink outer thigh slopes (something that was one with her t30/combiner hunter/platinum toys and occasionally by some artists during 2012-2016 for IDW1, and for Synergy and IDW 2019 along with most recently in the TTRPG core rulebook). her alt mode is a more Chromia-esque lightcycle take on her BBM altmode which makes us happy because basically a more heavily armored (and likely unintentional) modern successor to her hovercar/bike mode in Heart of Darkness #2. Think it's important to note that in the Go Go manga Haruka Oda specifically gave Arcee a more G1 look with a BBM-esque alt mode.

for those of you who haven't seen evergreen Elita, this is her! bulky from the hips up. love her deco and that she has two different biolight colors

Transformers Universe videogame / Prime toy Flamewar has had some sort of legacy lately in transformers media, given that she's also had a similar look in the deckbuilding game and robo rally. only now realizing how much her color scheme is similar to Dreamwave's Fallen and instead of having literal flames has flame motifs. please excuse while we think about Megatronus loyalist old lady Flamewar

Nightbird is the best existing Tf character to return as a Terran.

She's from the G1 cartoon which ES is a sort of sequel to.

She's a man made robot turned sentient.

She ran away from both Decepticons and Autobots and never seen again.

Her stumbling into the Emberstone cave and gained a real spark, got a protoform body, and managed to figure things out on her own is completely possible.

Forget about bringing back characters who already had their limelight. Bring back the ninja bot! RotB did her dirty

Characters I would love to see in Earthspark season 2

Thundercracker (please let him be into making movies imagine him and Hashtag it would be perfect)

Nightbird. This shouldn't be a surprise just look at my pfp lol. She's an underrated robot queen and she deserves to be in more stuff. For Earthspark I'd love for them to stick to her G1 origin, where she was a manmade robot that ended up gaining sentience with the help of the Decepticons. Her sole episode in the original cartoon ended with her re-captured by the Autobots and put into cold storage by her creator, with her making an angry expression as the screen faded to black. I feel you could build on that in Earthspark. Maybe have her break out, with a vendetta against the Autobots and the Decepticons. She's angry at the former for imprisoning her and she's angry at the latter (including and especially Megatron) for using her yet never coming back for her after she was re-captured, making her feel abandoned.

Windblade. I really want to see Windblade interact with Earthspark Starscream. I feel it could be something interesting. I know Windscream is a bit controversial within the fandom for some reason but I feel with this more redeemed Starscream in the show I think it could legitimately work. I also feel she and Twitch would get along really well and she could be another good mentor figure to her!

Blackarachnia and Airazor. I just think they're neat! (and should be GFs)

Nightbird Week - Day 4: Decepticons

Starscream v Nightbird. So loosely the prompt. I wanted to redraw one of my favorite drawings I've posted for the week. Changed what was on the table tho

Soooo...ummm...yeah I finally finished my TFP Nightbird design and a little bit exhausted because drawing is like a drugs – it makes me worse but I will never stop

And yes there are somethings about MECH team:

– Nightbird and the rest of the team were built by the MECH to confront the Cybertronians and gather information about them.

–While building, MECH used body parts of dead Cybertronians that were found on Earth (but this does not mean that there are no man-made parts in Nightbird and others)

– None of the bots built by MECH have a spark, but they do have a personality thanks to the Cybertronian brain modules.

– Also, not all members of the MECH team originally had T-cogs, like, for example, Nightbird.

–Each bot has its own human partner

–Bots need energon to survive, as most of their bodies are Cybertronians remains.

About Nightbird:

Nightbird is that quiet girl in the class from whom you don't know what to expect, unlike the original she can talk, here the question is different - does she want to. She is very fast and deadly, and has truly amazing melee and ranged combat skills.

However, the fact remains that she never developed her skills on her own, she only produces commands and movements recorded on the brain module, performed by a person specifically for her training. And she really doesn't like it.

Also, before joining the Decepticons, she had a human partner named Bagheera. They were quite close and it was with Bagheera that she talked the most and sometimes even made fun of her.

Nightbird is a very good performer, if she was given some task she is very unlikely to disappoint you, but unfortunately she is not suitable for leadership. Nightbird is very cold and sometimes even bitchy, she can demonstratively ignore you if she doesn't like you (Starscream is already tearing apart the walls of nemesis).

When Nightbird joined the Decepticons, she was reformed and given a T-cog, increasing her size.

Knockout and Nightbird

I did Knockout because I enjoy him and sorta wish he was in tfa too. One of the all spark almanacs has a head design for him, but figuring out how to draw it consistently was driving me nuts. And I had to figure out the rest of the body, which... was sorta difficult. It doesn't seem the TFP characters' designs were made with the transforming ability of the toys in mind. There's a lot of kibble to look like mechanical parts that don't actually do anything. In short, the robot mode only kind of represents pieces of the vehicle mode. Ultimately, the design elements had to be simplified and stylized to fit the TFA style. Not to mention that tfa has an obsession with big chins for some reason.

Nightbird was a one off character from G1. In that, she was created by a human and hacked by the decepticons or something like that. I didn't pay a whole lot of attention. She didn't have an alt mode.

I wasn't fond of that backstory for one of the only female transformers at that time. And the only female decepticon(even if she technically wasn't even a transformer).

I didn't exactly think too hard about a backstory, but she's a Nighthawk F-117 stealth jet, and is ninja themed. She's got little energon weapon hilts on her belt that turn into various ninja weapons. Like a kunai or katana or whatever. Either she's a ninja bot gone decepticon, or she's always been a decepticon, or she was a jet brought to life by an allspark fragment and joined the decepticons. I haven't decided. I just wanted to design her, tbh

I may not have thought much about her backstory, but I put a lot into her design. I tried so hard to arrange all the kibble in a believable way. I hope it worked out well. Oh, and she's probably painted either black, purple, or blue.
