Note
OHHHHH SKYLAR.
BOY DO I HAVE AN IDEA FOR YOU.
Okay hear me out on this; what if when Jouno joined the Hunting Dogs isn’t the first time he’s met them?
Like hear me out on this for a quick second;
It was an undercover party and the first time and last time Fukuchi sent them on a mission regarding a mafia, an extremely powerful one at that, that wasn’t the Port Mafia.
See, I like to think Jouno is someone who is a MASTER at acting. Like I think he wanted to be an actor when he was younger and his mom was like “okay, you can be an actor AND an assassin executive”
Like I’m imagining Teruko complaining about having to be in a scratchy and WAY too expensive dress that Fukuchi had to promise her he’d make her President for her to wear.
And imagine Jouno’s cover gets blown and he ends up having to fight Teruko, and she’s got him pinned and repeatedly telling him to stay down while he’s struggling and with a scream, he smashes something over her head and steps back to think of something and take a breather.
Like Teruko got pretty banged up in the fight but she ended up winning the like the girl boss she is ✨
While Jouno knocked Tecchou out A WHILE AGO
And I’m thinking of the way he did it and I think he would use Tecchou’s tie, like undo it while fighting, and wrap it around his arm and just do his magic.
Like imagine Jouno having Tecchou’s own tie around Tecchou’s arm and making him punch himself
And to be petty, doing the iconic “Stop hitting yourself” line.
Anyway *gives you this and runs away*
HBFHHFIHUFH JOUNO WOULD ABSOLUTELY DO THAT AND DAMN ID SUPPORT HIM EVERY STEP OF THE WAY
EXPERT actor the likes of which you have never seen
Then running into them to join them like "Hiiii.... how ya doinnnn...?" ITD BE SO AWKWARD BUT SO FUNNY
Tecchou wouldn't hold a grudge, dare I say he'd still be kind of impressed and immediately goes "Well they do know how to fight" because well if Fukuchi says Jouno is a good guy now who's he to doubt authority right
Meanwhile Teruko does hold a grudge about the beating over the head, but it's forgiven after a few piggy back rides

I posted some DRDT predictions in Discord a while ago and figured people would be interested
(DRDT CH1 CASE AND CH2 VICTIM SPOILERS obviously)
victim(s) on the left, killer on the right
Tumblr media
I’ve already said why I think Charles is the ch2 killer here before, here it is if you’re interested
Ch3, aka: “Veronika is a boss ass bitch” I know she’s too obvious of a killer but she would absolutely SLAY her own trial and you cannot change my mind
Hu would absolutely snap after Nico dies, and of course target the person who in her eyes targeted them most: Ace. ...I mean to be fair they did willingly target him for murder but let’s not worry about that
“ah fuck I have no clue what’s going to happen in chapter 5″ “wait wait bro listen to me” “what is it” “David and Whit” “OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
So my thought is mystery girl (Mai? I’m pretty sure her name is Mai) is the mastermind behind the killing game, and hired in Rose as a “traitor”, likely using her debts being paid as a lure. “but Mew what about Xander’s secret-” It never said he was the mastermind, just that the killing game was his fault. My line of thinking here is that he was involved in a major incident that triggered the killing game, said incident likely being where he lost his eye. (and that’s if David is even telling the truth about having Xander’s secret, but that’s a whole other thing entirely)
so here’s my reasoning for my survivor list: Eden - makes the most sense for her to survive, I doubt someone would target her and I very highly doubt she’d commit murder herself Levi - same reasoning as Eden. It doesn’t make sense for him to commit murder because of his current goal to be a better person, and who in their right mind would target the dude who is built like a brick shithouse (also I love him please can one of my faves survive I already lost Xander please drdtdev I’m asking nicely please please please) J - she’s a boss and I love her Teruko - protagonist moment But part of me doubts she’ll actually leave the killing game grounds, due to her reasons stated in chapter 2. Though I think a scene like this would be funny: Teruko: Ok you guys go out and live your lives and stuff, I have no reason to leave so I’ll be staying here MonoTV: oh about that you actually do Teruko: what MonoTV: yeah because you won the killing game I arranged to have all your medical debts paid off how cool is that Teruko: Teruko: SON OF A- *cue ending music*

Astro Note Episode 12 Review + Final Thoughts - Happy Endings For All
The ending, while happy, was something I did not expect and that’s a good thing. I mean, I didn’t predict that this show would turn into a mech one and that the mecha robot would be participating in a final battle Astro Lodge and fish aliens. I like the unpredictability this show gives!
Tumblr media
I didn’t expect that the reason the Hubby king was after Mira was so he could marry and have babies with her. He failed with Adara, so he was settling for Mira. The reason why he wanted to marry a Wido was because he wanted to have beautiful and talented children. That’s a very dumb reason, but I didn’t see that coming. I’m guessing Widos are objectified and glamorized like how Asians are objectified and glorified by Western countries. I also didn’t expect that Shoin’s house was a spaceship and that it cannot transform into a mech like Mira’s. He was promised marriage with Mira if he abided to the Hubby king’s order, but it was all a lie. Geez, all these people are trying to court Mira, but Takumi comes out the victor because she professes her love for him to the aliens.
I also didn’t predict that the Astro Lodge tenants would be chilling and eating food. They’re so free-spirited! Though, if I was in my house that turned into a spaceship and I wasn’t the one piloting it, I too would be chilling and waiting until the pilot finishes their task. Freaking out over alien attacks would only last a moment.
Mira decides to renounce her right to the throne and decide to stay on Earth and on Astro Lodge as its landlady. I honestly did not predict this. Usually, these types of stories have it to where someone from another planet would go back and leave Earth. Astro Note breaks all of those cliche tropes. She says that she doesn’t want to be tied down by duties she doesn’t want and rule a place she had no attachment towards. Honestly, go Mira for chasing after what she wants! I’m glad that she actually decides to stay!
Mira’s decision of not wanting to be tied down actually inspires the tenants. They all get happy endings, surprisingly! Ren decides to wear skirts to school and it seems that his friend Haruto and the girl with the frilly dress are okay with it! Tomihiro feels proud that Ren is becoming confident and it seems that he got a job of his own too! Aoi finally gets a job as a legal assistant to Tasuke’s lawyer, the lady who helped her out with Tasuke when she was homeless. She even grew to like dogs as she is seen petting her boss’s Cavalier Spaniel at the same bench Shokichi sat on. While the Naosuke and Aoi romance didn’t happen, I’m glad that it stayed a platonic relationship. He’s the reason why she became more assertive now. She even gave Naosuke a radio so he can remember her with it; she even submitted an entry so that Naosuke can listen to the song she requested on the radio. Aw, it’s like what he did for her in the previous episode. Teruko is finally seeing some success as an idol as she’s on the front cover of a magazine! I seriously thought Shokichi died, but it was a fake out. It turns out that he wants to go to space with Naosuke and visit Planet Wid so that he can write a book about it; he’s trying to finish writing a sci-fi novel that revolves around a man meeting a space alien girl—sort of like Adara and Mira’s situations. Takumi gets a job in a restaurant where he works lunch shift. I didn’t expect Shoin to end up being a tenant for good and returns to being Takumi’s apprentice. He is last seen working at a bakery where he’s a hit with the female customers. The only one who didn’t get a happy end was the Hubby king and he deserves a bad end for all the trouble he caused.  I actually like that everyone got happy endings and that there’s no need for a Season 2! Everything concluded satisfactorily.
However, Naosuke is going to go back because he wants to. Mira revokes his duty of protecting her for life, so he decides that he’s going to protect the key. I guess that’s his version of a happy ending? At least Shokichi will come along with him, so he has a remnant of Earth with him.
This is probably one of the happiest endings I’ve seen in anime. While some things did get rushed, it was a nice blend of comedy, romcom and sci-fi.
Final Thoughts
I just decided to watch Astro Note because it looked like a weird anime and I figured out I was a weird anime enjoyer. Yes, it was weird, but it was surprisingly entertaining! I do like that the writing makes it in a way that some predictable things aren’t as predictable as I would assume like with the whole ordeal with Ren liking skirts or the whole finale.
It’s not a perfect anime, but I did enjoy the characters and gags a lot. However, if I were to be a critic, I’d say that not all characters got fleshed out in this 12-episode run. There’s a lot I don’t know about Shokichi. Heck, even Takumi doesn’t get fleshed out a lot. All we know about him was that he lost his job at a hotel due to bankruptcy and is working at Astro Lodge now. I’d like to learn a little bit more about him like where he’s from or his background before getting into cooking. Heck, I would’ve liked to learn a bit more about Shoin too! I feel like characterization got shoved to move the plot forward. It’s also a crime that we didn’t see what Planet Wid looks like. Despite that, the anime does do a great job showing that Astro Lodge is a share house full of kooky tenants; the supporting cast are all kooky and it’s presented well.
The voice cast was stacked, surprisingly. A lot of A-list actors and actresses are casted here! We have Soma Saito and Maaya Uchida as the leads and the supporting cast consists of names such as Shinichiro Miki, Junichi Suwabe, Tomokazu Sugita, Rie Kugimiya and more. This anime is perfect for anyone who’s a fan of any of these actors. The only voice actress I’m not familiar with is Ai Furihata, who voices Teruko, but that’s because I’m not into Love Live. She does do a good performance, though!
The soundtrack fits the whimsical atmosphere, but I did like the opening and ending songs a lot. The opening sound is sung by Ai Furihata and the ending song is sung by Soma Saito and Maaya Uchida. I really like it when anime voice actors participate in the opening or ending songs. It makes them feel rather involved, you know?
I think that this is a good anime to just kick back, relax and laugh at the craziness transpiring. It’s nothing too serious to think about. If you like animes like that, I suggest you try watching this!

How You Met: Hunting Dogs Style
***SPOILER WARNING: MANGA ONLY CHARACTERS***
A/N: Finally got around to doing this one! The hunting dogs are soooooo hard for me to write for since we never really see them outside of doing their job, so trying to make a casual reader meeting them was really difficult for me. So, if these seem a bit less than stellar, that is why. Also, spoiler warning is obvious. These characters as of the time I am writing this, only exist in manga verse, but here's hoping for a season 4, am I right? 🤞🏻With that said, here we go~!
*************************************************
Tecchou: You stared at the sandwich order flabbergasted. The sandwich you were currently tasked with making was a hot mess of strawberries, chili sauce, shrimp, tomatoes and red pepper hummus. All on rye bread and grilled. This must have been a joke from one of your coworkers, right? You looked at the online order name Tecchou and tried to vaguely imagine what such a person must look like. Your imagination drifted into the territory of a cave-dwelling sea witch or some other fantastical entity that had no place in the public sphere. Then your eyes wandered to the athletically built man standing next in line who was inconspicuously performing calf raises. He was toned, attractive with piercing eyes and three markings on his cheek. If you needed something to catch your attention for a while, you had certainly found it. You finished up wrapping the sandwich as quickly as possible so you could be available to take the next customer's order. As you walked to the register, he cleared his throat before speaking.
"I'm here to pick up my online order. The name is Tecchou. Is it ready yet?"
Jouno: The street was nearly deserted as you walked along the sidewalk. You had the day off of work and thought that exploring the town seemed like a good way to pass the time. On your way, you'd noticed an unassuming man, walking with his eyes closed and not once opening them. You knew the area you were in was a bit on the dangerous side and worry got the better of you. Following the man a few paces behind, you felt your chest tighten as you saw local gang members turn the corner and prepare to attack the helpless man. Your feet were barely touching the ground as you sprinted to go defend the man. Except, in the blink of an eye, the man had easily taken them all out. He nodded his head in your direction with a snake-like smile.
"You shouldn't worry so much. With the way your heart is pounding, you'll wind up sending yourself to an early grave."
Fukuchi: The bell rang indicating a customer had entered the store. You were honestly surprised since this was probably the second customer just this night. You'd usually only get one or two a week at this tiny liquor store. You'd been running this place for years with the dream of someday running a bar alongside it. Honestly, though, it was located on the very outskirts of the city and the only people who ended up here were people who couldn't afford to be seen anywhere else. Which is why your jaw nearly dropped through the floor when you saw none other than General Fukuchi, a great war hero, stumbling half-drunk through the aisle way. Even drunk he managed to maintain a little bit of his military posture as he made his way over to the register and placed far too much money on the counter. The warm boyish grin he gave when he locked gazes with you made him look years younger despite the wrinkles that had formed under his violet eyes.
"I'll take the best whiskey you've got in this place. And, if it's not too much to ask, could you share a drink with me?"
Teruko: It wasn't your first day on the police force, but you still felt nervous all the same. Your precinct was going to be working with the Mad Hunting Dogs and you'd heard plenty of rumours about their particular brand of eccentricity. Especially the rumors about the so-called "Blood Broar Queen" and how bloodthirsty and vicious she was. You were inwardly dreading that she would be the one leading your investigation. Being a lower-ranking officer, you just knew that you would be handling the brunt of whatever power struggle would occur between her and your current commander. But, she outranked your boss, so it didn't really matter, you supposed. You had successfully drowned out the chatter around you while sipping your coffee when you saw a young girl with a long dusty pink ponytail trailing behind her as she marched confidently. She stopped in front of your desk and pointed a finger in your face with a wicked glint in her eye and a satisfied smile showing her teeth.
"You! Move it! For the next week, this desk is mine!"

Toonami Weekly Recap 01/11/2020
My Hero Academia Shie Hassaikai Arc Season 4 EP#71 (08) - Suneater of the Big Three: Suneater, a member of Fat Gum's agency and U.A's Big 3, decides to single-handedly defeat everyone's first obstacle; three members of the Eight Bullets, the Shie Hassaikai's elite enforcers.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind EP#09 - The First Mission from the Boss: Bucciarati's group are reunited on Capri and are approached by Pericolo, one of Passione's capos disguised as a janitor. Bucciarati hands over the treasure which was hidden inside a men's toilet and Pericolo makes Bucciarati a capo in control of Polpo's turf. His first task is to protect Trish Una, daughter of the unknown Passione's boss, from the Hitman Team within Passione. The Team had turned traitor and are searching for clues to the boss's identity while trying to depose him. Back in Naples, Formaggio, one of the traitors, manages to locate Narancia who was out shopping for supplies. He engages Narancia and concludes that Bucciarati's group must be guarding Trish. Narancia tries to dispose of Formaggio with his miniature airplane Stand Aerosmith, but Formaggio uses his own Stand, Little Feet, to shrink himself and hide in Narancia’s pocket.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Drum House Arc EP#11 - Tsuzumi Mansion: Tanjiro separates Zenitsu from the harassed girl, who slaps Zenitsu when he tries to push it. Zenitsu states he's weak and will die on his next job, which is why he had to get married. He tells Tanjiro he didn't want to become a Demon Slayer but got into debt with a woman, who gave him to his trainer who made him become one. Tanjiro's crow directs both boys to a mansion. Zenitsu's hearing is as sharp as Tanjiro's smell and he hears two scared kids who tell Tanjiro it is a demon's house and the demon took their older brother inside. A man is thrown outside the house and dies moments later, but it is not the siblings' brother. Tanjiro cajoles a terrified Zenitsu into coming into the house with him, leaving Nezuko in her box with the siblings to protect them. Zenitsu overreacts when Tanjiro says he still has broken bones as that means he can't protect him. The siblings enter the demon's house behind them as they heard Nezuko scratching and got scared, leaving her behind. The house suddenly rearranges itself, separating the group, stranding the sister, Teruko, with Tanjiro and the brother, Shoichi, with Zenitsu. Shoichi berates Zenitsu for his cowardice. While Zenitsu frantically looks for an exit he opens a door and sees a boar-headed man, who passes them by. The demon of the house approaches Tanjiro and Teruko hides. Tanjiro leaps at the demon, who rants a child with rare blood he found, his prey, has been taken, before flipping the room so they are standing on the wall. His blood art gives him total control of the house when he strikes a tsuzumi drum growing from his body. The boar-headed man unexpectedly leaps into the room, wielding a pair of chipped Nichirin swords.
One-Punch Man 2 EP#12 (24) Finale - Cleaning Up the Disciple's Mess: Bang and Bomb start to beat up Garou mercilessly. Garou remembers when he was a young loner and had a popular classmate name Tat-Chan. It is revealed that the reason why Garou hates heroes and wants to be a villain is because he believes that people only want to be a hero to beat up weaklings, as shown when Tat-Chan gangs up on Garou simply because he's a "monster." Garou repels Bang and Bomb, and Phoenix Man arrives and saves Garou. Genos is about to kill Garou and Phoenix Man but Phoenix Man calls for Elder Centipede to help. Bang and Bomb briefly wound Elder Centipede, but Elder Centipede knocks them back and sheds his damaged armor. Genos plans to stall Elder Centipede to give a chance for Bang and Bomb to get the defeated A Class Heroes to safety. Genos briefly wounds Elder Centipede, but Elder Centipede quickly regenerates and knocks Genos back. Genos starts to become disillusioned, believing himself as worthless since he could not beat the behemoth Dragon-level monster. Bang puts Genos down and plans to take on Elder Centipede himself when King arrives with a megaphone challenging Elder Centipede. The Hero Association briefly gave King history on Elder Centipede, and King lies that Blast (S Class Hero Rank 1) has arrived, goading Elder Centipede to fight him (Blast previously wounded Elder Centipede so badly that it retreated underground). Before Elder Centipede could kill King, Saitama arrives and kills it with a Serious Punch (as King told Saitama to make sure he kills the monster in one shot, for fear that it may cause damage to a nearby city). Saitama and Genos see each other in the wreckage, and Genos asks Saitama what he lacks. Saitama simply replies, "Power," which Genos takes note on, to the despair of King. Genos then looks forward to the future, believing he will be stronger now. The episode ends with Saitama asking the remaining heroes if they want to go back to his apartment. In the post credit scene, Garou finally passes out from exhaustion and Phoenix Man plans to take Garou to Orochi.
Dr. Stone EP#18 - Stone Wars: A group of Tsukasa's army, led by a man named Hyoga, approaches the village and beats down Kinro. With Ginro unwilling to cut down the bridge to the village with Kinro still on it, Senku, with the aid of Gen and Magma, convinces Hyoga's group that they've already produced guns, forcing them to retreat. Three days later, during a storm where guns would be unuseable, Hyoga's team attack again, only to discover that Senku and the villagers have managed to produce katanas. Although Hyoga proves to be a powerful foe with his spear technique, the spear breaks thanks to some sneaky sabotage by Gen.
Fire Force Netherworld Arc EP#21 - Those Connected: Obi breaks Vulcan and himself free from the grip of Lisa's flaming tentacles. While talking to her, he inserts extinguishing grenades in the tips of the tentacles. They explode, extinguishing her flames and Vulcan catches her as she falls. However, Giovanni grabs Lisa and threatens to kill her if Vulcan does not shoot Obi. Vulcan shoots Obi, so Giovanni releases Lisa. However, Obi is uninjured due to his protective armor. He attacks Giovanni but he is able to fend off Obi's strikes. Meanwhile, Shinra has a series of visions of the past and detects the presence of Sho through his Adolla Burst ability. They meet, but Sho is in no mood for reconciliation, and they engage in a fiery battle. Sho appears to stop time which Licht believes is linked to the Adolla Burst. Sho then hits Shinra with a punishing blow.
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma Totsuki Autumn Election Arc EP#24 - The Warriors' Banquet: Akira's dish, which has a powerful fragrance and uses the power of holy basil and yogurt, earns a score of 94 from the judges. Finally, Soma presents his own fragrance bomb, combining his past two failures into a curry risotto omurice containing a mango chutney. The dish earns Soma 93 points, landing him second place behind Akira. However, it is noted by the crowd that although Akira received a higher score overall, three of the five judges ranked Soma's dish higher than Akira's, with the implication being that in a Shokugeki, this would have given Soma the victory. Afterwards, when the contestants hold an afterparty celebrating and lamenting their victories and losses in the preliminaries, Soma becomes determined to improve his cooking finesse.
Black Clover: Elf Tribe Reincarnation Arc EP#100 - We Won't Lose to You: The elf possessing Klaus realises that Klaus' soul is trying to retake control so he attacks Asta, injuring him. Rhya offers Mimosa in exchange for Asta’s Grimoire but Asta refuses and repeats his promise to become Wizard King. Asta's words are heard by Yuno and he instinctively saves Asta, revealing his soul is back in control, but he has retained the elf’s body and power. Rhya is confused as the reincarnation should have sent Yuno's soul to sleep. As the mage in the sphere of light, revealed to be Licht, has not yet moved, Rhya suspects he needs more time to reincarnate. Yuno senses that the possessed knight's souls are asleep while the elves control their bodies, whereas in Yuno's body it is the elf soul that is asleep. Asta activates his demon form and he and Yuno knock Klaus and Hamon unconscious. Licht suddenly awakens and retrieves the nearby black sword, which turns white as he touches it. Nero appears from Asta's robe while Licht steals the Demon Dweller sword from Asta before he can react. They duel fiercely but Licht's speed and greater skill with the anti-magic swords overwhelms them. Working together Asta and Yuno both manage to surpass their previous limits but Licht uses his unnamed sword to block their attack, which is then retrieved by Asta. Licht attacks and destroys most of the floating dungeon and the surrounding forest. Asta is left unconscious while the unnamed sword turns black and is absorbed into his Grimoire.
Sword Art Online: Alicization: War of Underworld will premiere on Toonami January 18.

HCs
Kolya probably made your mom jokes 24/7 as a kid. Like someone would say something to him, and he’d just be like, “Your mom’s a pig!” Or something like that.
Sigma would be confused by everything, even something as simple as a smartfridge. “Why is the fridge lighting up?”
Teruko definitely kins Taiga Aisaka from Toradora.
Gin and Higuchi are dating.
Chuuya is probably a bit like Kanji from Persona 4, and he’s probably into stuff that is seen as more feminine. He paints his nails black a lot.
Tecchou has eaten mustard with the yellow parts of the captain crunch cereal.
And yeah, this is a lot, sorry to be ann
okay these have to be some of my personal favorite hcs like… from start to finish this had me smiling!! you’re not annoying at all (:
nikolai definitely still pulls your mom jokes, and fyodor has HAD IT!
ahh sigma with the smart fridge 😭 “why does a fridge need to have wi-fi AND WHY IS IT TALKING TO ME???”
gin and higuchi are canon, asagiri told me personally.
mustard on the yellow parts, ketchup on the berries…
