My internship has started and I'm overloaded with doing historical illustration + writing a whole ass roman history of the region book for children, so... ngl, i think the most facinating part of Billford, not as a ship (because there’s a general understanding that it was really toxic and they were terrible for each other) (i get that that part of why it’s so fun to explore for so many- not the point), but just in general, is that Bill was ABSOLUTELY as obsessed with Ford as Ford was with Bill. it’s just… so interesting to recontextualize their dynamic as mutually destructive and obsessive instead of Bill just manipulating Ford. Like, yes there was definitely manipulation, but the dynamic jsut has so many more layers when the obsession is mutual.

They’re both egotistical and believe that they deserve more than what the world gave them, and they are terrible for each other and it’s kinda funny and all sorts of facinating to study

(billford always happens and they always break up. ford was obsessed when bill was his muse, then bill is obsessed after they’re no longer together and he realizes what he lost) (this dynamic is just canon, really)

(fiddauthor is always present at some point but in one route they end up together after canon events, and in another route fidd moves on) (it’s possible that they had a thing in college but consider it “typical college experimentation” because it’s the 70s and denial is strong. they still go through canon events)

(fiddlestan only happens during the fiddlestan route. otherwise canon events stay the same and they barely actually interact with each other. in the fiddlestan route they work together in the 80s and grow old together)

(billstan isn’t really romantic but it is a one-sided obsession. bill just can’t stop obsessing over the stans… for very different reasons…) (dare i say an unrequited kismesis dynamic?)

Palpatine v sith!Obi-Wan will always end in ol’ Sheev getting his shit wrecked, not because sith!Obi-Wan would be necessarily smarter, more powerful in the force, a better fighter w/e than Palpatine (he probably wouldn’t be) but because unlike canon!Obi, any dark or evil version of Obi-Wan would have zero compunction about actively using the frankly insane levels of emotional, mental and spiritual influence Obi-Wan “all he’ll see is me” Kenobi has over Anakin Skywalker.

All of Obi-Wan’s canonical manipulative bastardness, his and Anakin’s legit mystical bond + codependence, Anakin’s deep seated insecurities, need for love and approval and obsessive tendencies, and an Obi-Wan with no ethical or moral hangups?
