He can change his form in any way he likes, his form is as fluid and adaptive as the ocean, but also his strong emotions affect his form subconsciously which makes him wary of humans because when his form changes without his control he can look scary/ugly in their eyes so he tries to keep the best control over his emotions

When he is extremely sad that’s when he usually turns into this inky tentacly blob of sadness

König with the weird tentacly/viny monster he's been secretly keeping on base. Finding it in the vents one day after a meeting that made him loose his appetite so why not. He didn't mind wasting food but the wailings in the walls at night were getting to him.

König who slowly gets closer with the creature as odd as it looked like. Something of a starfish tree, vines or roots maybe? He didn't want to take any chances so he made sure to keep it watered and fed, often taking an extra portion to feed it scraps. It was efficient. No food wasted and now he had minimal food waste to throw down the sink.

"Where did you come from hm?", he mutters absentmindedly one night when it started to climb up his arms to his shoulders. Shocked and almost...flustered by its sudden touch from the vent monster.

He didn't speak again once a vine wrapped near his head, sliding on his cheek as he let it absorb his warmth. Absolutely entranced and dizzy but ah, his friend just looked so comfortable. A nap wouldn't hurt.

Imagining the next time they camp, Lae'zel happens upon Ronan a little ways from every one filing down some of his claws. That seems disadvantageous for the fights to come, especially seeing how the area is riddled with goblins and the like. She tells him as much, clearly spooking him as he nearly drops the file.

He manages to keep it in hand, shoulders up his ear holes as he guiltily shifts his gaze from her, to it, to their two other companions not far off. Mumbles something in agreement as he puts it away before standing and stiffly going to do something else.

He's a strange beast, for sure.

I think once Percy becomes a sparkeater he loses his natural rut cycle. But they can trigger a heat cycle within a bot with a bite (venom). Brainstorm goes to heat more frequently cause Percy gained the habit of gnawing on him.

I raise you: Perceptor uses his rut cycle to circumvent the need to hunt 👀

Hear me out ok, he's regained his sapience and self awareness but is still a sparkeater. His body can survive on energon, but sometimes the craving for sparks gets damn near unmanageable, and his whole body strains and aches and itches to hunt. It makes him growly, snappy, and incredibly territorial; when he starts baring his fangs at friends and raising his tentacles in threat-posture, he knows he needs to work off the energy

Through rigorous experimentation, he and Brainstorm have found that intentionally triggering a rut is a healthy, safe way to berid of the desire to hunt and devour. They quarantine and lock themselves in their quarters, stocked with contraceptives and a surplus of energon and nesting materials, and Percy just goes to town on Brainstorm. Restrains him with his tentacles and fucks him like a wild animal, anywhere and everywhere: in their nest, on the floor, against the wall, bent over the kitchen counters, in the washracks, even midair suspended in a wiry, tentacly sparkeater nest 😌

Brainstorm fucking loves rut-stricken Perceptor. He's the biggest monsterfucker in the universe, and nothing gets him going more then his mate with animalistic, carnal desire just bearing down on him, growling like a chainsaw and manhandling his body to take him however he pleases. Its such a turn on for him, and by the time the cycle runs it's course, Brainstorm has been fucked stupid. Hazy eyes and a goofy smile and whining, whimpering on cloud 9, so exhausted he can't even wrap his legs around Percy's hips anymore.
