The booming sound of thunder kept raging on without end. This was proof of the Raiden Shogun's fury being made loud and clear.

“Don’t let him get away!”

“That way quickly!”

Kaedehara Kazuha ran for his life. He maintained a harsh grip on his friend's now empty vision. Even if the vision burned his hand away he refused to let it go and have it sent over to the Shogun.

‘Almost there…’

He was nearing the shores of Watatsumi island. Once he touched land, the Tenryou commission would be unable to lay their hands on him momentarily.

As he got near to his destination, his path was forced to a stop by a [H/C] girl. She had a blank look and made eye contact with his scarlet eyes.

“Y/N…” He pleads desperately, “Please let me cross to Watatsumi!”

Ignoring his desperate pleas she announces, “Her excellency had requested—”

He hastily speaks up, “Are you speaking to me as my dearest friend or…” He swallows hard, “As a Tenryou General?”

She summons her polearm and responds sadly, “I am L/N Y/N of the L/N clan. By the orders of the Almighty Shogun,” She aims her blade towards the platinum haired male, “You are to be arrested and have your vision revoked.”

He takes a step back and continues with his pleas, “You don’t have to do this! Join me! We can run away—”

“Silence!” Tears began to fall from her face. Her cold facade crumbles down piece by piece, revealing the fragile emotions she carries. She inhales sharply, “Surrender now or else…I will not hesitate to use force!”

“Kazuha!”

A hybrid Shiba human soldier quickly ran near the borders of Watatsumi. He notices the [H/C] soldier and takes a defensive stance. A dozen soldiers began to approach him as well and take on a defensive stance.

He growls at the Tenryou General, “Let him through…”

She clicks her tongue in annoyance and sees from a distance that her fellow soldiers are slowly approaching the scene. Wiping away the stains left by her tears, she hardened her expression and waited patiently.

Once all soldiers from both sides prepared themselves for a scuffle for the wanted criminal, the [H/C] General raised her polearm and declared an offer, “Heir of the fallen Kaedehara clan,” she swiftly brought the blade down aiming at him, “You are allowed to cross the borders of Watatsumi Island.”

Many gasps could be heard from her soldiers. They began to look nervously amongst each other and murmur about what their General had planned. The Watatsumi soldiers were visibly confused by the opponents declaration. They began to wonder if she went crazy or perhaps secretly on their side?

“However,” She stabbed the ground with her polearm, creating an icy barrier around herself and the platinum haired male, “It is only natural that you earn this freedom.”

She cocks her head to the side lazily, “What say you?”

The male lets out a shaky breath and clips the empty vision on his haori. He grabs the handle of his blade with his bloody hand and takes a defensive stance, “Kaedehara Kazuha, ready for battle.”

"Aaaaaand... boom! Done!" Metabee leaned back with his hands behind his head after he had finished typing on the computer. "Got it set up!"

"Already?" Ikki walked over to his computer, looking at the page Metabee had set up. The boy made a face at what he saw. "Could've picked a better color..."

"Hey, I tried with the pink part," Metabee huffed. "Hurt my freakin' eyes, so dark pink it is."

"So you've finished your little project, Metabee?" A voice came to the two's minds as a small white creature strode into the room, hopping up onto the desk. "I have to say, I don't quite understand the need for this."

"Ah c'mon, Cubes, it's just somethin' I wanna do for fun!" Metabee poked at the creature. "'Sides, I probably ain't the only one who's got questions for ya about this whole 'Magi' stuff."

Kyubey looked at the screen, as if in thought-- though his face didn't change. No surprise there... "That is true. And I suppose I could find more potential candidates through this 'ask blog' method."

A moment passed. "Metabee, I believe you forgot to open the inbox."

"Oh. Whoops."

heizou walks down the streets of inazuma city, twirling his jitte around his finger, humming a jaunty tune under his breath. he navigates around vendors hawking their wares and their customers, nods to fellow doushin on patrol, and stops to make small talk with adventurers and merchants. it’s part of his daily routine to stay on top of local gossip and new developments. the information could be useful for a future case.

guards salute him when he enters the police station. he slides the doors open, immediately greeted raised heads and perturbed frowns. heizou matches their pensive looks. “is there something the matter?” he asks.

“doushin shikanoin. we were looking for you.” a guard enters his peripheral vision with a salute. “a mysterious package came overnight…well, a few of them, actually. they’re from komaniya express.”

he raises an eyebrow. the delivery company is famed throughout the region, especially now that their services have expanded overseas. the tenryou commission relies on them to deliver documents and other items between the city and the kujou encampment. “what about them?”

“well…i think it’s better if you see them for yourself…”

the doushin leads him to the conference room, which is a large tatami room with decorative scrolls and banners. sunlight streams in through the opened windows, pristine chalkboard covering most of one wall. the boxes, six in total, are of varying sizes, sealed with tape, and stamped with the delivery company’s logo. most peculiarly, there are holes on the sides.

heizou inspects them. it doesn’t take him long to reach a deduction. “gather a few more doushin and then call for madame kujou. tell them to carry the boxes to the holding cells.”

“why?”

“there’re criminals inside.” he swipes the delivery slip from one of the boxes, glances over it, and gives a laugh, waving it for the doushin to see. “it’s written here, plain and simple.”

“uh, sir, i don’t think ‘meanies’ quite classifies as criminals…”

“you need to expand your horizons, my good man. think of why they were boxed up in the first place –it’s because they were about to commit a crime of stealing goods from a certain courier. if they have criminal intent, they’re criminals. simple as that.” heizou steps through the doorway, delivery slip in hand. “i’ll handle this paperwork. just get those boxes to the holding cells and tell the general. she’ll know what to do.”

there’s never a dull day in the city.

Ikki, chuckling: Man, what baloney!

YK how Tanjiro had really sensitive smell he used to predict demon attacks with?? Well Heizou has a strong sense of intuition- you're not telling me that in his training days with his clan he did not exploit this and take no damage in battles?? Like come on- WHAT IF HIS INTUITION PREDICTS ALL OF HIS OPPONENTS MOVES MAKING IT EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY FOR HIM??

Another reason why I think he obliterated everyone in the tournament (and survived the arrow).
