Not necessarily about the kids, but how do the parents balance out all their families? We have Errink and Drink for example, how does Ink manage them?

Each character has their own way of raising and "raising" their children.

In summary. They manage to take care of them without much complication, others help each other, and others prefer to evade responsibility and leave them forgotten.

Ink takes care of Paper Jam, Gradient, Spilled and Ekon. He also often visits Palette, Blueprint, and Bluescreen.

Dream takes care of Palette, Shine and Shade. Along with Cross takes care of Lux, Starcross and Hope.

Cross usually takes care of the three of them, but apart from that, he can pay the attention that Ink doesn't give to Moku. Together with Epic takes care of Starke.

Swap will take care of Blueprint, Splatter, and Sprinkle alongside Papyrus and Asgore. He will occasionally go to Outertale to say hello to Starway.

Outer takes care of Starway most of the time. And he takes care of Deneb together with Science Sans.

Reaper and Geno take care of Goth, Raven, Sorell, Silver, and Shino without a problem. Cassis often spends time with the five of them as well.

Fell and Classic Sans take turns taking care of Plum and Dedge, despite the latter being Dust's son.

Dust takes care of Kenza. From time to time he takes turns with Swap to take care of Sprinkle. And Horror helps him with Okse and Glasses.

Finally, Killer is in charge of raising Crescent, Angst and Merciless. Nightmare only trains them to serve as his weapons. Horror and Dust are their "uncles" and are also in charge of them when the other two are not around.

Nightmare, Error and Fresh don't care about children. Nightmare just takes advantage of them. Error tolerates them, but he would rather destroy them than take care of them. Fresh is a liar parasite.

As for Lust... We are not talking about Lust. Please keep the children away from him, as far away as possible...

Radier, Tenpatch raised themselves alones. They spent their childhood together with Nightmare until they were old enough to take care of themselves. They sometimes visit Error.

Those are the entire list for now. It is probable that in the future I will make comics about the childhood of each child, for now there are advances on my AO3 account. I'm still thinking about adding Rurik, but I don't have enough information about him. Only he was raised in Underfell by Fell Ink.

None of the children and parents belong to me, they all belong to their respective authors.

These are all my own headcanon trying to assimilate to the real canon. If there is something wrong or that any author would like to mention, feel free to correct.

What is Under The Sea/UTS ?

Under The Sea is an au happening under the sea, where the Sanses and other Utmv creatures we knows and love becomes mer-people !

There is no canon ship aside from one who’s no longer canon.

Please do not compare my au to leviathantale, although it is similar it isn’t too nice

So.... Lore time:

Under the cut for spoilers:

A long time ago the 3 balance gods lived in harmony.

Well first there was a multiversal war... then there was a truce between the bad guys (Nightmare, Reaper, Error) and the the (not stars but Ink and Dream and Life)

This war had many instances of two or more of the gods magic/essence mixed in with a dash of either Inks creator magic or Life's magic thus creating the kids.

Fusions of their parents.

That is why the war stopped.. It was to raise these kids, so as to not recreate a.. well a PJ (more later >:))

It worked well until X-Gaster! Yep! Ink's general inability to have a set moral compass mixed with X-Gasters need for perfection got Ink in a sticky spot he needed to be saved from. Dream and Error tried to save him... Instead they got sucked into what ever the hell X-gaster was cooking up...

It is believed that X-Gaster overwrote their memories and time lines to the point of breaking all 3's minds. Making them the unhinged over powered assholes they are now.

X-Gaster rewrote Dream's apple incident so he ate the golden apples and turned his main motive erraticing all negativity .. He rewrote Error to remember the balance but not have the regard for life he once did and he fucked up ink into something that physically can't feel emotions unless he feels the glee of ending a life... hehe yeah.

Then.. worst of all X-Gaster rewrote Nightmares memory. He believes that Dream became unhinged in stone and any attempts to remind any of the 4 of the original past are met with pain and.. a complete shut down.

He also tried to rewrite the kids which only half worked so now they can't age past what they where last time they fought him... and that causes bouts like what Tenpatch feels of intense magic overload.

He did at one point actually rewrite Nightmare into his passive form but X-gaster was so weak and mid battle... it messed up and well.. you'll see >:)

X-Gaster's experiment with Blue is how everyone found out about X-Gasters fucked up musings.

Oh and.. Cascade (not atting for spoiler resons) IF you had chosen to get help from X-Gaster... Cerulean would have been sucked into the opposing part of his nefarious plans... and... Lets say you would know why the first Blue was important. >:)

*She picks ceru up easily, Holding him firmly so nobody would try to be bold and grab them away from her, it wasnt hard to keep ceru away from them considering how tall she was*

"I think he's had enough tickling for one day.. Maybe you all should go play with ten-patch or Nightlight instead.."

*She says, Gesturing to a Tenpatch who had fallen to the ground from laughing so hard*

"no.. nonono... This is bad.. you don't understand.. this is bad... like really bad!!"

*He's shaking a little

"You don't understand.. and I didn't even realize..."

*He looks up and makes scarily steady eye contact with Cascade

"I've killed people when I got like that!"

*he shakes

"I've become the machine... the killing tool my creator made me!"

*He's not clawing at his neck but he's messing with the bandages...

"I thought I undid his programming!! I didn't know??"

*Because of course it didn't it's just a dumb tool after all

*She gently took his hands away from his bandages*

"Your not a killing machine ceru.. Your a caring loving skeloton.."

*She said quietly*

"Please don't mess with your bandages.. you'll tear them off.."

*She said calmly..*

Leviathantale Mermay 2022 Days 15-17: Octopus, Storm, Ship

Summary: Tenpatch is more like Nightmare than Nightmare realized.

Nightmare feels it when the ocean currents shift and buck away from his careful control. It happens sometimes when Tenpatch uses them to play with Palette Roller. It’s all in innocent fun and never happens for very long. But then, the currents grow stronger and even more focused in a way that Nightmare has only done when he was angered. That’s what alerts him that something is wrong.

By the time Nightmare lurches up towards the Surface, it’s already too late.

With horror, he sees blood and seafoam tainting the waters around Palette Roller. He manages to catch his nephew’s sinking body as it pops from its large form. A nasty wound from a harpoon. 

Above, Tenpatch summons a storm. Since the ship with the foolhardy landdwellers isn’t the largest, he easily wraps his tentacles around its hull in his large form. A piercing screech comes out of his son’s mouth as he looks upon the puny mortals with hatred that Nightmare never knew him to be capable of. 

Tenpatch looks every inch of Nightmare in his wrath.

Before Nightmare realizes what he’s doing, he’s pulling his son away from the ship. Tenpatch releases it in his surprise. The rough currents and the stormclouds don’t recede, but the fierce wrath on Tenpatch’s face falters at the sight of Nightmare. “Abba?”

“Take Palette and go back to the grotto.” When Tenpatch looks ready to argue, Nightmare gives him a look that leaves room for no argument. “Now.”

His son swallows whatever he wants to say and takes Palette Roller from Nightmare and flees. When Nightmare is certain that the children are far enough away, he turns to the ship and makes sure to crush it and its inhabitants so thoroughly that the vessel is near-unrecognizable when he’s finished with it.

When Nightmare returns to the grotto, Dream and Horror are already tending to Palette Roller’s wounds. Tenpatch swims over to him. 

“Why did you stop me, Abba?” Tenpatch demands with an imprudence that is unchracteristic of him. Anger and hurt laces his tone in a familiar way that nearly makes Nightmare flinch. It’s as if a figment of his own past is yelling at him right now and Nightmare doesn’t know how to feel about that. “They hurt Palette Roller. They don’t deserve our mercy! They deserve to sink and drown!”

Nightmare waits for Tenpatch to calm before answering. “They do deserve it. And I have already ensured that they will never hurt you or Palette Roller ever again.”

In an instant, Tenpatch’s anger splutters out and he’s looking at Nightmare with only confusion. “You…you did?” 

“Then why didn’t you let me do it? If you were going to let them drown, why did you stop me?”

Why did he stop him? By all rights, Tenpatch should be able to avenge his cousin’s grievous injury. It was what Nightmare would’ve done if it had been Dream.

But that’s the problem, isn’t it? Nightmare would have done it. He would’ve let his wrath dictate his actions and justify his violence. He would’ve remained blind to everything except his vengeance. He already has. Many times. And it was his loved ones who suffered the most from it.

“You looked too much like me.” And Nightmare couldn’t bear it. The thought of sweet, affectionate Tenpatch growing up to be like himself makes him sick even now.

“But I want to be like you!”

While Tenpatch’s proclamation was meant to be sweet and earnest, it only stings at Nightmare’s soul even more. 

“And I don’t want you to be like me. Ever. I am not someone you want to emulate,” he insists. “Especially not like that.” At his son’s doubtful look, Nightmare gestures behind him. “Tenpatch, how is Palette? Have you checked on him yet?”

Tenpatch pauses. Slowly, his confusion turns into horror when he realizes that he hadn’t after he handed his cousin to Dream. He’d been too upset that his Abba had stopped him and told him to leave. He didn’t think to check on him or comfort him. He didn’t think -

“Wrath and vengeance blinds you to your loved ones,” Nightmare tells him. With a start, Tenpatch realizes that he had left Palette to drift and sink alone as he attatcked the ship in his rage. What if his Abba hadn’t come in time? What would’ve happened to Palette? And how long would Tenpatch have forgotten about him?

Shame fills Tenpatch’s soul. His crown sits on his head, heavier than before.

“It’s all right,” his Abba soothes gently. There is a terrible sort of understanding in his gaze. “You can go to him now.”

Nightmare watches on in relief as Tenpatch joins Dream’s side and holds Palette’s hand as he’s healed. His anger is gone. Maybe not forever, but he’s at least aware of what it might do if he lets it control him.

“Oh Night,” Dream sighs later when they’re alone. “Tenpatch trying to be like you shouldn’t be as terrible as you’re making it out to be. He looks up to you.”

“He shouldn’t,” Nightmare stubbornly insists because a part of him will never forgive himelf, “because he’s already better. And he’ll continue to be better.”

“You’re no longer that person,” Dream tells him firmly. “Neither of us are. We’re getting better too. I just wish you’d see that.”

Nightmare doesn’t answer.

Nightmare:

Nightmare: Yeah, I’m pretty surprised with myself too.

Nightmare: Gotta rectify that. (Obliterates ship.)

Random Landdwellers: (cheering) We took down a giant beast and survived! We’re so strong! We’re on top of the world!

Nightmare: *appears*

Random Landdwellers, horrified: The giant beast was the baby. The Mama is here. Oh no.

I realized I never did a Humi( Fell!Tenku ) ref sheet.. so here you go !

Info :

- Live in a mostly abandoned underfell underground, running a lot deteriorated hospital by the sheer power he has

- Has ribbon worm abilities, being able to push his magic veins out of his body and create his missing body parts. He also have the same veins allll over the hospital

- As a child he used to speak in a scientific way like terms, he also had a sister, Fell!Mimas, Miha. No one knows what happened to her, but their relationship was very.. complicated..

- is very calm towards fell!pinwheel, but would strangle his own staff

- is the one who feed the employees with his magic, they are addicted to it and can’t stop or leave far enough
