For today’s Tender Tuesday — courtesy of the @creators-club — I’ll talk about the relationship between these four!

So, firstly, their names: the bottom left is Kaiden (she/her, aro-bi), next to her is Li Hua (she/her, aroace), the one with wings is Felix (he/him, gay-ace), and the last one is Aleksi (he/him, aro-pan).

💛Meet Cute!💛

SO Kaiden met Li Hua when they were both children, but they grew apart when Kaiden was sent for the draft. They meet again about 10 years later, but since Li transitioned, Kaiden didn’t recognize her immediately.

Kaiden met Felix at a bar, and Felix—being the extrovert he is—friend-adopted Kaiden because he liked her vibe. They took the Oath together, and were later separated after the events of Liaba Ridge. They haven’t seen each other for 2 years.

Kaiden met Aleksi during their training, as did Felix. He hasn’t seen Kaiden or Felix in 2 years.

And Aleksi, Li Hua, and Felix meet at the beginning at the story, when Aleksi is introduced to his temporary team, and Felix…well he’s just snooping, mostly. But they meet then!

I’m not too sure on how to explain their relationship, but something that’s been floating around in my head lately was queerplatonic relationship, or QPR for short.

Now, according to a quick Google search: Queerplatonic relationships (QPR), also known as queerplatonic partnerships (QPP), are committed intimate relationships between significant others whose relationship is not romantic in nature.

This works with them pretty well!

Now…

What do they like about each other?

Kaiden likes that Li Hua’s honest. She likes that Felix thinks like she does (only amplified by the Oath), and she likes that Aleksi’s quite introverted like her.

Li Hua likes that Kaiden’s loyal. She likes that Felix is on the same wavelength as her (chaos the wavelength is chaos) and she likes that Aleksi’s protective (she likes the security).

Felix likes that Aleksi’s willing to listen without interrupting, he likes that Kaiden goes along with his weird behavior, and he likes that Li Hua’s so curious about everything.

Aleksi likes that Felix is never willing to take crap from anyone, he likes that Li Hua listens, and he likes that Kaiden is patient.

And I think that’s where I’ll end it!

Tender Tuesday: Issue 3: Appealing Quirks and Habits.

It's hard to believe that it's already November. This year just rolled on by. This is for the @creators-club.

Bianca has a fascination with the subtle, hidden qualities of those she loves. She loves to see qualities that hint of vulnerability or tenderness within formidable beings, like Mordecai or Sephiroth. In Sephiroth, she finds his unguarded moments, such as a slight pause before responding to her touch or a faint smile when he sees her appreciate something he has done, endearing. She treasures these rare glimpses, feeling they reveal parts of him that is untouched by the darkness that they both succumbed to. These quiet moments soften his intense presence, providing a delicate contrast to the control, dominating side he often shows to the world, as the One-Winged Angel.

Small, mundane habits that might seem trivial to others but resonate with her also captivated Bianca. Bianca finds herself drawn to Sephiroth’s quieter, almost otherworldly mannerisms. During moments of silence, it appears as though he connects with multiple energies in his surroundings, or he inclines his head as if attuned to whispers or visions of Jenova. His gaze, often lingering on distant points as if he perceives hidden realms within the Lifestream, resonates with her own need for purpose and a search for something more to her life than her tragic existence.

Beyond the habits that reveal his internal world, Bianca loves when he indulges her in moments of playfulness. He will occasionally tease her or offer her a sardonic smile which catches her off-guard and brings warmth to their relationship, softening the otherwise intense destiny that they seem to share. These glimpses of levity give her something to hold onto. They serve as a reminder that their relationship contains sparks of joy amidst their darker pursuit. She cherishes these quirks because they are uniquely Sephiroth’s and layered that she alone recognizes and treasures.

Tender Tuesday

Talking about Odair and how his relationships!

Odair is a closed-off person. If you think you've seen people have walls up, this young man has an entire fortress with battlements, a moat, and trenches beyond that. Nobody has seen the softer inner side of him, not even himself.

Except for an automaton in an old lab. But we'll get to that.

His relationship with Regin is incredibly complicated, he doesn't even know what to name it. Regin has been his guardian, his teacher, his father, his friend, the one person who he allowed up to the gates of his fortress but no further. He knows he can speak to Regin, seek wisdom, seek help.

But Regin also uses his blood to live. Subjugates his will with enthrallment. Regin asked a teenager to make an impossible decision ten years ago... to die in the snow or to give up his soul.

He knows Regin needs blood to survive. It's not a game Regin plays, it's just as life or death for him as it was for Odair all those years ago. But why him? Why not someone else? It runs through his head every day he sees the old vampire.

It's complicated. He doesn't know what to think of their impossibly ruinous dependency.

As for others, people like Yves, or members of Bridgewater? Odair is still locked away in his impossible fortress, a man so closed off inside it can barely see him on the outside.

But what of the automaton? What happens when it comes to life under his touch, when a force wrapped around his soul, feeding from it, leaps into its crystal chamber? What if its eyes spark, and a voice rises up from its metal confines? One that is innocent, in love with the world, seeking to know more? One that's cold metal hand caresses his cheek and, with cold empty glass eyes, sees through every crack in his walls and sees him for the first time?

What's it like, to fall in love with an angel-possessed automaton?

Tender Tuesday

Back at it again with my favourite gals! What can I say? Adina and Wendy have my heart. Most of my OCs do... huh...

This week I'll say what their labels would be if they were in a world like ours with our names and such. None of my characters do say what they identify as outright but they all have identities I put on them, obvs.

Adina is aromantic. She saves on coin for taverns by staying with strangers that appeal to her for a night. It's free real estate.

Wendy is a asexual and lesbian. She has an (unrequited) crush on Adina and gets a bit huffed when she vanishes with pretty strangers.

Both are witches but from different blood lines. While Wendy's is revealed in her last name, Adina's origin remains shrouded.

Happy Tender Tuesday. This is for any of your OCs. :) How did your OC meet their romantic partner(s)? Was it love at first sight?

Hi Bardic, thank you for the ask :D

By virtue of coincidence (on account of this snippet I posted earlier today), I'll take this opportunity to talk about Eshani and Cerigo.

They met through a flower shop, where Eshani did the flower arranging and deliveries, while Cerigo was a frequent customer (he would send flowers to family members for their birthdays).

They started off as friends, in part thanks to a mutual friend who invited them both to an underground party.

The romantic part didn't come until later, and in context to their relationship as a whole it was very short-lived, somewhat one-sided too. Eshani was the first one out of the pair to realise her feelings for him, but because of the circumstances at the time (Cerigo gave his hand to another lady in exchange for healing his nephew of a sprite's curse), they didn't have a chance to flourish in that sense. The romantic connection is there, the problem is one of them got whisked away and is trapped by responsibilities to another court.

Happy Tender Tuesday! If you could choose your favorite traits in any of your character's romantic relationships, what you it be? What would you say is the most important thing in said relationship for each of the characters involved?

Soooooooooooooo sorry for the late response! I've been suuuuuuuuper busy.

Thank you for the ask. This is a really good question!

I personally believe that communication is a key element of a healthy, positive romantic relationship (or any relationship, for that matter - even with family). I mean, when you think about it, a lot of the biggest issues in most ships on tv/books/movies and stuff all come down to misunderstandings and disagreements that could have easily been avoided by having a proper conversation lol.

(It's super annoying to me when a pointless misunderstanding pops up in the middle of a movie JUST as a contrived way to trigger a "third act break up" scene...)

I don't typically want to give my characters this problem. This is why for most of the ships that I write, I tend to have at least one character that isn't entirely useless when it comes to effective communication.

For my two Steph's Crew ships, I try to incorporate this rule. I'd say that Ben is the emotionally mature one in his and Steph's relationship overall, but they have pretty solid and effective communication all around... mostly. I mean, at the start, it's great! But once they go long distance, things change a bit. Mostly from Stephanie's end. She kind of closes herself off and downplays how much she's struggling with the distance. The thing with her though, is that she hates not expressing how she truly feels, so this is all kind of building up to a moment when she has this huge breakdown, leading her to make a change in her life.

(Can't really give more away without spoiling future posts lol)

But I'd say that's probably the thing I like most about Stephanie (in regards to her romantic relationships). It's the fact that she's honest about her feelings and she has the nerve to make tough choices.

Bret and Elise are a slightly different case, though (mostly because they are a newly formed couple, not a long-standing one like Stephanie and Ben. They're in the honeymoon stage lol). I wanted to give them a few weeks of just happiness and sweet moments and fun times before things go off the rails... because of course it will.

These two are comfortable sharing stuff with each other - they're besties, after all. Bret loves being with Elise - she makes him really happy, and he just wants to make her as happy as she makes him. That's the nice thing about Bret, in my opinion - he's a sensitive soul (more so than he lets on lol). People that feel deeply tend to love deeply also. However, he has a lot of issues that he struggles to open up about (with anyone, not just El) for a couple of reasons, and this puts a lot of strain on their relationship later on in the story.

And Elise doesn't really know how to deal with him. She's out of her depth, for a couple of valid reasons - she's never been in a romantic relationship with anyone before, so she's navigating all this stuff for the very first time, she comes from a family that's kind of cold and private and rigid, preferring to deal with things like this in a particular way, so her upbringing may not be the best preparation one could have for dealing with matters of the heart lol, etc. But the good thing about El is that she's very mature, perceptive, and she learns quickly. She gets the hang of things and finds a way to deal with their problems properly. This is the reason why she's rather good at maintaining relationships in her life (she makes friends really quickly, despite the fact that she's naturally quite shy and super introverted, and she's the only person in her family that still has a close relationship with Adam after he got kicked out).

So yeah. Needless to say, there were already several issues going into this ship that they weren't properly taking the time to address (because they're just having too much fun on ~Honeymoon Avenue~ lol) until things start to go crazy later on in the story. That's all I'm going to say about that.

So yeah! These are the main traits from my ships that I admire a lot (from each character).

Happy Tender Tuesday! (This a part of that weekly ask game)

If your character and their love interest were stranded together in a very dangerous place, how would each one of them react? Say, one of your characters gets injured in this place, how does their respective love interest deal with this situation?

Tender Tuesday is a new one for me but I love it! 💜Great ask! Especially given similar things have come up in GSNBTR recently (and will again). First of all, Louisa is prone to anxiety and panic attacks (similar mental health issues run in her family) so she wouldn’t be functional until she gets her breathing under control. Then she’d be calm enough come up with an unexpectedly clever idea to help solve the issue at hand. She’s also an aspiring doctor and a compassionate soul so she’s probably going to try to jump in and provide first aid (even if she’s not all that great at it yet). 😁

[Name redacted] is initially better in a crisis because he can keep calm and think things out logically. However, he is also ridiculously protective and prone to going too far when someone he cares about is hurt or in danger, so I think Louisa (even if she’s the one who’s injured) would have to be the one to talk him down from doing something ill-advised in relation to that, and to focus on the problem at hand.

They have a saying: “I plan, you execute” for solving thorny problems like this, and it usually (eventually) works out in the end. 💜

Happy Tender Tuesday! If you could choose your favorite traits in any of your character's romantic relationships, what you it be? What would you say is the most important thing in said relationship for each of the characters involved?

Happy Tender Tuesday! It's still Tuesday, right? Anyway, this is a new one for me, so I'm excited! For this ask I'll answer for my two main couples in Agent Ace—Harley/Jade and Sophia/Ahren.

For Harley/Jade, my favorite part of their relationship—and the most important aspect—is authenticity. They were never afraid to be themselves when the other was around, even when they first met. If one holds back, the other encourages them to be unapologetically true. Even before they realized their feelings were romantic, there was still so much love in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Sophia and Ahren thrive on communication. Neither of them are overly affectionate people—anything more intimate than gentle cuddling only happens in special circumstances and is thus extremely rare—but they've been married since high school because they can call each other best friends. It's the little things—Sophia teaching Ahren self-defense, Ahren encouraging Sophia to take a breather when work gets a little too rough. They care deeply for one another, and they each have subtle but meaningful ways to show it.

Tender Tuesday: Issue 2: Halloween Edition.

In the celebration of Halloween, here are 10 Halloween-themes headcanons for Bianca Moore and Sephiroth.

This would in a modern!Au. It could be set on Gaia, as she is known to share her holidays with him. There is a poll beneath to help get into the Halloween Spirit.

Bianca likes to dress up as a dark queen. This ensemble is complete with a crown. Sephiroth lets her dress him up as her kind rather reluctantly. He finds the entire thing a bit theatrical, but he tends to give her that trademark smirk when he sees her admiring him.

Every Halloween, they carve pumpkins. While Bianca carefully crafts designs, he tries to carve his with the Masamune and creates angular shapes. They always end up competing with each other, but Bianca secretly votes his the best.

Bianca like to decorate their space with dark purple and silver fairy lights. She arranges them so they cast shadows resembling ghostly forms. Sephiroth is indifferent but adjusts the lights to fit their dark, cozy space. After Bianca is a sleep, of course.

On Halloween night, the veil between realms is thinner. Their soul bond gives them more intense shared emotions and sensations. They like to sit and hold hands most of the night and just 'feel' each other.

Each year, they gift each other 'cursed' objects, as a playful twist on Halloween. Once Bia gave him a locket containing her hair, while Sephiroth gave her an obsidian dagger rumored to grant dreams of the past.

Inspired by her celestial side, Bianca fills their space with dark lilies and midnight roses. Sephiroth, who isn't usually drawn to flowers outside of enhancing Bianca's beauty and reminders of the Celestial Realm for her, makes sure that one of her roses is always by his bedside.

Each Halloween, Bianca and Sephiroth likes to visit the Haunted Hotel in the Gold Saucer, exploring its dimly lit corridors and eerie decor. Sephiroth will occasionally vanish into the shadows and appear behind Bianca to startle her. Although he keeps an unreadable expression, he loves how she clings to his arm or slaps his arm, pretending to be annoyed but clearly thrilled by his playful mischief. The staff usually play along with the haunted effects since this is Sephiroth, the poster-boy for SOLDIER.

Using a candlelit room, Bianca and Sephiroth make shadow puppets on the wall, turning it into a playful battle between light and dark. Sephiroth usually casts monstrous shapes while Bianca casts celestial shapes. They tend to joke and laugh.

Each Halloween, Bianca preforms a small ritual to commune with the spirits that are lost, such as Mordecai. Though initially skeptical, Sephiroth sits with her in silence and respects her connection to the dead. He tends to place his hand on her shoulder, to tell her that she is not alone.

They typically have a private picnic in the Grasslands. They share dark wine and pomegranates to symbolize their bond and connection with life and death.

Hello! Happy Tender Tuesday, idk how these work, but it looks fun! Tell us about Anya's late family. Is it tender, prolly not XD

Thanks for asking! Enya's later found family is a bit messy so you ar probably right about it not being tender.

She finds a new home in her love to her girlfriend, the siren Meara, but her friends/ found family are a wild mix of fellow outcasts. There's Dietbert, the happy dwarf (not grumpy like most dwarfs) who helps her out because she kinda triggers his protective dad instincts. Then there's Talib, the dangerous elafid, who sees Enya as an even threat and therefore decides they are better off as friends than enemies. He is an adorable asshole and also very suspicious about her other friends. Then there are Meara's sisters Nerida and Mira who welcome Enya to their family, even though the eldest sister Kairi and their parents Aisu and Varuna despise Enya. Saoirse, the independent mage, is a loner, but she crosses paths with Enya for multiple times and in meaningful ways, so she might also be considered to be part of the outcasts found family.

There are multiple other characters yet to be created and written, but I love the found family trope so much, I will perpetuate it in every bit of my story!

The sweetest story (in my opinion) is that of Wilkes' adoptive parents, Walter and Alma. These two are secondary characters in the AASOAF series, but they are far and away my favorite because it's one of the few love stories that is uncomplicated. After writing more complex relationships like that of Fay and Wilkes, Mariel and Axtapor, and an unmentionable couple (bc spoilers), it's a breath of fresh air to have something that just works and is cute. Basically, Walter was on army leave, he went to a play, he saw Alma performing, and he fell HARD. So he approached her, and she was equally smitten by him. The two dated for a bit before eloping, and now they're (happily) attached at the hip and have been for the past 40 years 🥺

As for the completely different one, it is, again, another pair of secondary characters, Anise and the widower, Old Edward. Anise is Fay's best friend from when they both worked in a brothel. Edward visited a handful of times but never did anything with any of the girls when he decided to sweep up Anise and marry her. He told her that she was supposed to spend his money and keep him company, nothing more. She was naturally suspicious of him; he was about 50 at the time, and she was 20, so the original intention was that she wouldn't like him, and there was going to be this whole plot where she tries to get rid of him...and then the story got away from me 😅

I wrote this scene where she overhears him talking to his late wife's grave, telling her how there is finally someone to wear her clothes again, to have tea with, to go on walks with, to go see plays and shows with and Anise and I basically folded like a house of cards together LOL. After that, there is this really sweet scene where they level with one another and she dives into the role of his live-in companion posing as his spoiled wife until he passes away about twenty or so years later. His death affects her quite deeply, so deeply, in fact, that she torpedoes the banking business that he left behind to her and that she refuses to dress in anything other than mourning clothes. She never told anyone, not even Fay, that they were not more than deep friends because she was afraid no one would understand it.

Tender Tuesday

Kari is a guardian of life known as Winter. Due to unfortunate events, he is stuck as a small dog. Miniscule, if you ask him. His duties as a guardian remain important despite this disaster.

Ayden's body is decaying throughout the story; as is his mind. His eyes are supposed to be a pale-ish yellow/orange but I couldn't find one that fit so black it is!

Kari accompanies Ayden and helps him stay on track for their mission. Their relationship can be likened to that of an uncle and nephew and Kari cares deeply for this little one.

New years eve was last night.
