Ok so yeah, 10k Escape Plans. Ruh roh!

I got the angel version off of KikaGoods because I absolutely adore her design and generally I do not fw blind boxes. I don't personally regret buying her buuuut.... They weren't kidding about those quality control issues.

Pros: Her design is just beautiful. I love that her corset actually laces up. Her clothes fit her nicely and look lovely. The sculpting and painting of her hair are gorgeous. All of the extra hands look great, AND there is a set of pegs to hold the S hooks in the wrists while changing clothes, which I greatly appreciate-- I was dreading putting on her arm warmers until I saw those.

Cons: The aforementioned arm warmers prevent you from posing her elbows or wrists because they're so stiff. (Also they're made of that plastic faux leather that is going to degrade and disintegrate and permanently crease in about 20 minutes. The leg warmers, bodice, and corset are the same.)

Also, the wrists can't be posed anyway, they just flick right back to the default position.

This MIGHT be because the stringing of her arms is WAY too loose, to the point where if you pull one arm, the wrist will just hang limp when you let go. But I haven't been brave enough to restring her and check, and I don't know enough about BJD engineering to say for sure. Either way:

There's staining/embedded dirt in her left thigh, and the design on her right leg warmer is misprinted.

This isn't a quality control issue and more of just a general design critique but... the wing accessory for her waist just kind of.... Sits there? And it falls off if you breathe too close to it. I'm not really sure what to do with it, despite it theoretically looking really cool.

Overall, I'm conflicted. Part of me thinks "she's only 35 dollars and has so many details and individual pieces, shes probably being made on a shoestring budget as is! It's wrong to complain about flaws." But at the end of the day, other dolls are coming out at equivalent price points and detail that don't have all these issues. And if a company is advertising a product, it's their job to deliver on that product as promised. If they can't do that for the stated price, they need to sort that out internally and either raise the price or simplify the product.

Buyer, unfortunately, beware.

I was so worried when i heard how many defects and quality issues these girls have from reviews but mine don't have any at all, beside the loose joints and wonky bows on her dress. I'm not brave enough to attempt to restring her yet so i'm gonna leave her be for now

Blind boxes got me once again (previous was pink penny's box dragon). Here's a blue dog of 10.000 escape plans. I was interested in the series since the announcement, but was too busy (and lazy) to get into it. So, I got her just now.

Her limbs are ok. Spare hands are slightly different tints, though (it's barely noticeable on photo, but quite in life). But compared to the reviews of others, it's totally fine.

Ah, and the front part of her hair is falling off constantly.

Cute. Waiting for a headback to make a regular wig because this construction weighs more than her body, causing her to fall. Plus, I really dislike molded hair.

Took me an hour to put her hands like that. I was so stubborn because I didn't want to restring her. (She's sitting on Imomodoll's lap, which I got the same day). I like the plastic, it's soft and velvety. She's very cute. At first, I was afraid to break her because of how tiny she is. Sooo tiny. But eventually I disassembled her and restrung using the initial elastic. It's too thin, so I'm going to replace it later. The thing that pisses me off the most is her heavy head.

Honestly, when I put all parts of her head, I've got a feeling that I had something this tiny and with molded hair when I was a kid. But I can't remember it, so can't be sure if this feeling is real. Meanwhile, waiting for one more girl from this series, a red sheep.

Anybody on here have a Ten Thousand Escape Plans doll that they’ve put in different shoes or clothes? I really hate the shoes they come with but I can’t seem to find any that fit. Has anyone else had success? I only got one of these dolls to customize it into one of my OCs and said OC wears sneakers (like Nikes and other similar shoes). It would also be nice to know what other doll clothes fit them. I’d like to give the doll some different pants.

I finally was able to buy the box of Ten Thousand Escape Plans! I fell in love with them the first moment I saw them and they have lived in my head rent-free ever since.

Unfortunately, I have some complaints. >_< For one, the legs have a piece of wire in them keeping the legs stiff. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be standard but I'll remove them later.

I've never had dolls arrive this way before, and this was a surprise. Also their arms are very loose and difficult to pose, so I'll have to tighten those up. Unfortunately, there was a bigger problem.

None of these have magnets in them, so they will not stay in place. I double checked the listing and there's nothing that specifically says they do or do not have magnets, but in my experience with similar doll lines any accessory will either have a peg or a magnet, and these have neither. Also, the side ponytail on the pink one (Fox Yan Su)'s peg is very small and falls off easily.
