You never thought you’d stoop to this level- the dignified manager of a strip mall Spellphora reduced to this. Crying your eyes out to a telenovela with bad subtitles and an even worse plot. Totally freaking alone on valentines day. It’s your own fault, really. Maybe it’s all the karmic debt you’ve accumulated for working in a chain, or, maybe you need to manifest Malleus Draconia getting hit by a hoverboard harder! Bring on the subliminals, baby!!

That scandalously pretty (and formal in the same way a middle schooler with a briefcase is) Wand Topic goth held your teenage servicing heart and crushed it between his glossy acrylics.

You’re taking it back,, The hangouts, the free samples, and active use of your fucking email for anything but work! It’s all going in your flippy top Kuromi trash can (curtesy of he who shall not be named), and out of your stupid head!

Your notes app is full of amateur poetry and movie recommendations that you would never watch by yourself, because they’re all dumb and you hate it. You hate the whole five pages! But he made them good in the moment. With his cheating fairy makeup magic and inappropriately expensive earrings- he could make anything sound good. Why are all your situationships so profoundly dramatic and sad? Has no one heard of the casual fling to fifty year marriage pipeline??

At this point you wish he hexed you, then your insurance would fund some old fashioned retail therapy, but on your fourth Valentine’s Day alone it hits you. Maybe your shitty ex wasn’t that shitty. God, maybe he was right! All those burnt vapes gave him the clairvoyance to yell a prophecy at your kiosk before he stormed off with a barely safe amount of clearance lipgloss-

“You’re the problem”. (Subtracting the colourful language, obvi) And the only respite for your five month celibacy streak is the freezer burnt ice cream you’re shoving down your sorry gullet,, It’s not like it matters! If you get your way, he’ll never show his face again. As anyone in your position would, you sigh melodramatically into your teeny-tiny living room.

it feels so good that you dare doing it again, despite your uppity next door neighbours.

And the third one (which was going to be the best!) is cut off by a clunky knock at your storm door- it’s way too rainy to get mugged by the knee knocking cartel, but you open it anyways on the off chance Amazon has a gift for you. You cross your fingers for a hunky delivery man, ready to whisk you away from Netflix and mope!

But it’s not, because it just so happens goths are historically terrible at not moping- You look the soaking wet, insufferably sexy Malleus Draconia top to bottom in feigned judgement. From the tip of his embroidered Nurse Martens to the peak of his ebony horns catching rain like a Soda bottle to condensation, and back down to his hands cradling a travel crate like his life depends on it.

Damn, you’d still let him hit no matter what Cater says about his “Victorian girdle”..

“If I may join your evening to share it’s warmth with Gao-Gao, he would be quite grateful.”

And because you’re an aching hearted freak for wittle wizards (totally not to resolve your aching loins) (or the satisfaction of putting that self Defense baseball bat in action), you welcome the guys in with hospitality that would make Snow White weep

“Uh.. Duh! Sure, whatever. I have fresh towels. You probably still know where they are, haha..”

He gives you a grateful nod when you step aside, and the way he unfurls to full height after hunching over his precious cargo is always monstrously hot. You send yourself scrambling for the space heater (still very much vibrating from the inside, with a little ice cream crusted on your lip), no matter how embarrassed you are, Gao-Gao does not deserve to die from the cold! Malleus told you once the gecko intends on going to Valhalla, and you insisted he’s owed it for being such a good boy! (you’re also inclined to agree with any man that has a ninety degree jawline)

Gao-Gao nuzzles against your pinkie affectionately when you put some powdered feed into his crate. He ate three days ago- and you know that because you’re his pet sitter. Holding onto the little guy was easy when Malleus was away- but on pickup when his little brother showed up he thanked you. Said that Malleus didn’t have any other friends, and you couldn’t just leave him to the “adult loneliness” wolves.. So you hung out with him for awhile, and he only got cuter. That’s where it exploded in your face.

It was never his fault. You just got a bad case of the feels- on a little work party when you got hammered, Malleus took the brunt of it. Cater cheered you on in your sexless, drunken rage so well that you just blocked the guy,, And you have no idea why he’s here now.

“So,,, what’s wrong? Why’d you show up?”

“I understand I was unable to text your phone, but we had scheduled a “hanging out”, and now we can resume watching cinema! Gao-Gao is very excited with the prospect.”

You let the silence linger- and not to be mean, either. You’re just marinating in your drunk stupidity. Poor Malleus has no clue what’s going on! His own phone goes out all the time, and it’s not like you canceled, or even officially quit.. This is the worst. Not even your last breakup (pretty bad), or telling Cater that he was demoted (he literally asked to step down. Still sucked) measures up. THIS is rock bottom.

But, you’re used to being on the bottom. From scraping your way out of college only to land some mall-cop ass job better suited to someone in their teens, and all those infamously bad guys you’ve groveled to. Only Malleus (sweet, old man in a young body Malleus) bothered to spend the time reteaching you that you deserve to be spoiled- you deserve friends, and fun, and so many more pet sitting gigs with pintrestable animals.

You’re worth it. Even if it’s complicated, even if you can’t have him the way you want right now, you’ve got the rest of your life to pull it off!

(And to unblock him. That’s probably a good idea.) So for tonight you’ll enjoy the temporary simplicity, and have an unforgettable time with your best friends.

“Yeah! Let’s totally watch some “cinema”, Mally. Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Ahh I'm so glad you enjoy it!! To answer your questions...

Sylvia is a renowned and respected scholar. She tutors Prince Loid in history and governance, while other known WISE agents from the series (such as the old mustache man we often see, or Loid's recruiter from the manga) are his etiquette and swordsmanship tutors. Sylvia will eventually rise to be his chief advisor when Loid succeeds his father.

Speaking of his father, I imagine the king to have the same personality as Loid's father in the manga — cold and unsympathetic; focused on matters of war. Loid's mother, the queen, passed away when he was a child. As a result, Loid ends up confiding a lot in his older sister figure, Sylvia, although she does get quite strict with his lessons and he often sneaks away into town. This is where he meets Yor the Barmaid while posing as Loid the Definitely Not a Prince.

Yuri would be a mage-in-training at the elite magic academy, Eden. Since magic is very prevalent in this AU, it's not farfetched to say that most education will include the basics of magecraft. However, Eden produces cream of the crop scholars who feed into King Forger's war machine against their neighboring rival, Ostania.

Yuri is personally interested in communication and intelligence runes. Although in this AU he is on the side of Westalis, his research and snoopy personality will get him into trouble with the Ostanian underworld. He and Yor will discover they have ties to the Ostanian dark mage association, The Garden, which will begin driving a rift between the siblings as it pits loyalty to their blood against their loyalty to the Westalian crown.

Briar family backstory: Their parents were Garden defectors who fled to Westalis and attempted to raise their children as a normal family. The Shopkeeper killed them, but not before they successfully sent Yor/Yuri away to a big city orphanage, where they blended in with the countless orphans of war. (Side note: this is also why Yor is unwilling to let Anya go without a family again.) Things will pick up in the current timeline when the Shopkeeper returns to tie up loose ends...

And finally, Anya, our little forest imp! She is a rare type of forest imp, even amongst those of her kind, prized for her ability to read minds. Unfortunately, mythical beings like sprites, spirits, fairies, and imps have been hunted for their body parts to create powerful elixirs and magic weapons. Gruesomely driven to extinction by the West-East wars, Anya is one of the last of her kind, and Loid/Yor do their utmost to keep her hidden from military research groups.

and for the fuck it part, i'm gonna share a bit of reincarnation au bc i've been thinking about it lately. so here, have some moodboards and a lil teeny tiny wee snippet under the cut.

Buck's heard the legends and the stories about soulmates. About how, if you find the person you're destined to be with, at the first touch you will just know it.

He remembers in fifth grade, his history teacher talked about how, if you're lucky enough to have a soulmate, the first time you touch that person you will remember all of the lives past you experienced with them.

At the time it felt like this sweet and amazing fairy tale— but just that. It's always been this kind of myth, this sort of fairy tale that people tell but no one has really experienced so far. A kind of distant thing that Buck never ever thought he'd experience.

Until Eddie reaches for his hand.

The moment their fingers touch, it's like a big lightning strike going through him. It's fireworks and a rollercoaster and magic, all mixing and brewing inside his heart.

Hi! 👋 New Anon here! I have been devouring all your AUs - they are fantastic! Especially your ballet au.

I wanted to throw my hat in the prompt ring, because if there is one thing that ballet universes have its the "I'm not just a stuffy ballet person, dance is FUN! So I am fun!" scene.

So Dream goes looking for Hob (reasons) and can't find him, he deigns to ask someone and they say 'yeah, it's Wednesday, Hob's doing his thing.' Dream puzzled (quizzical head tip, with a healthy dose of ew, people and slang) 'His thing?!' Yes, Hob -- teaches wiggles/ballet for toddlers/some dance class where it's just little kids having fun at the barre at the nearby community center [OR] takes the ubiquitous "hip hop" class for fun (because he has skills) -- and Dream goes to find him. And yeah, they're already catching feelings, but it wouldn't be a DANCE Universe/Movie/AU if Dream didn't see Hob having non-ballet dance fun and just want to do him in the supply closet.

Omg yes I remember watching Step Up many years ago and honestly??? That movie is kind of dreamling coded?? Prim and Proper ballet boy Dream picking out street dancer Hob to perform as his partner in The Big Competition is kinda fantastic???

Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Hob being the FUN dance guy is just so great tbh.

I love the idea of Dream seeing Hob teaching toddler classes, that's absolutely adorable. Hob LOVES babies and children so he jumped at the opportunity to volunteer his time (he also wants to make ballet cool for kids, especially when a lot of the bigger ballet schools are so focused on putting them through exams. He wants it to be FUN!!). He runs one class for the teeny tiny kids to run around be fairies and learn like. 1st and 2nd position. And then one for the slightly older ones with fun music and barre exercises.

Dream watches from behind the door as Hob sits on the floor, pointing his toes, surrounded by a gaggle of 4 year olds who obviously adore him. Pretty soon he's got them all "floating" around the room on tiptoe pretending to be astronauts. It's absolutely the sweetest thing he's ever seen.

Perhaps Hob spots him lurking and encourages him to join in and Dream is like "You know I no longer have the capacity to dance" and Hob is like "But you can still be an astronaut. I'll make sure you float, I promise."

And Dream melts into a puddle on the floor.

Just read your huntlow neverland au fics and I'm oooooh sooooooo obsessed!!! My brain is fulll of thoughts now! Fairies, who feel emotions so intensely they can only feel one at a time, struggling to keep their feelings and powers under control? Faries, who die when people say they don't believe in them?? (What about the fairies who struggle believing in themselves ohhhhh--)

Girls are too clever to fall out of their prams... but what about the girls who are taken...? changeling willow perchance? And fairy kings gilbert and harvey my beloveds??

(You killed me with willow realizing she's hunters happy thought btw, took me out entirely. That and sleepy willow just sitting in people's cupped hands as her wings wake up the imagery is too cuuuuutee!)

AAAAAAA!!! Oh, this ask makes me so happy, I'm delighted you enjoyed the fics. I wanna write a few more, but there's a long list of stuff I wanna write, so who knows when I'll get around to it.

I wanted to incorporate Willow's issues with repressing her feelings into this AU somehow rather than erase it by including the detail of her tiny body not being designed for repression. So in my mind, Willow is an incredibly powerful fairy, a real force of nature. However, this kind of magic is at its strongest when it's not stretched too thin. SO if Willow uses her magic to change into a human sized form, she's significantly less powerful than she is when she's teeny tiny. Holding human form for long periods of time is like flexing a muscle in terms of magical ability. She can't do much else.

HOWEVER, when Willow changes into human form, she can actually regulate her emotions properly and is no longer such an open book. She can resist big messy outbursts of anger or sadness or giddiness. She can be chill. And she's finally capable of hiding how she's feeling.

So basically Willow has two forms. Both forms have their strengths and weaknesses and no matter which one she's currently in, she's vulnerable. When she's teeny tiny, she's ridiculously overpowered, but also all of her emotions pour out of her for the world to see. When she's in human form, she's physically weakened, but at least she can put her walls up.

It's about the vulnerability....it's about the trust....it's about feeling comfortable with switching between both forms because she feels both physically AND emotionally safe with the people she's around. I wonder if she can ever have that.

I imagine that fairy Willow was born when baby Amity laughed for the first time, so the two of them have this intrinsic connection. (I know that fairies are typically born fully grown but I'm rejecting that cuz the idea of fairy babies sound cute) and maybe Willow used to visit her and they'd play together when they were little. A human girl and her fairy. And then the falling out between them happens when Amity gets older and becomes jaded and drops the "I don't believe in fairies" line that severs their friendship for years. Maybe it's Willow she almost kills. Maybe the Collector was nice enough to revive her. Who knows. Point is that the amillow stuff is messy. And then Amity returns to Neverland as a 14 year old and things are awkward and weird between them and aaaah.

I don't imagine Willow as a changeling myself. And I don't see her as a princess nor her Dads as kings. But somebody once did art for this AU where they decided that it was fun to picture her as being fairy royalty, so who am I to deny people having their own fun headcanons for this AU. I love that you're enthusiastic enough to have so many thoughts about it!!! Think whatever you want!! I DO love picturing fairy Gilbert and Harvey. What a beautiful image.

was talking with some online friends of mine about my brew shortly after my post about fairy rui and did eventually manage to come up with something (i will still be trying to draw the requests i got though because i do like them)

so uh…as i like to call it bite sized fantasy au, they’re all very very little critters

splitting them into 4 species! fairies, elves, gnomes, and water pixies. all live in different parts of this forest. fairies live in flowers, water pixies in this one pond (the fairy flowers surround this pond so both species know each other well and have an alliance), elves are hidden in this like uh..mushroom village in the forest, and gnomes managed to make little homes underground.

i think my role list will be this:

fairies - honami, airi, akito (please it’ll be funny), rui, ena

water pixies - shiho, shizuku, kohane, nene, kanade

elves - saki, haruka, toya, tsukasa, mizuki

gnomes - ichika, minori, kohane, emu, mafuyu

i think for the most part plot wise if i write this it’ll mostly be from rui’s perspective

tonight's topic... gods and fairies!

a distinctive thing about the big gods of this au (golden goddesses, hylia, majora and fierce deity are counted here, and demise, etc) is that they are dragons. so, lots of dragon gods. similar in aesthetic to botw's dragons since hexapedal animals are cool :]

because hylia is a dragon, all of her reincarnation's descendants have dragon blood and thus may have the ability to turn into a dragon, so if you see a lot of dragon zeldas in this au, that's why! this actually wasn't inspired by totk and was something planned back before its teaser in 2019... can't believe we predicted totk on accident...

now what about fairies? these little buggers have also been cursed with the mac turns everything into a lizard and are now... lizards! specifically geckos of all shapes and sizes to replace the tiny balls of light. that are no longer tiny actually

Decided to do some lowkey scribbling tonight after a stressful day, so I worked on some concept art for the Tiny Fairy AU- since Tim would be a permanent resident of Butler’s cottage eventually, he’d need a more long-term habitat than the one first described in the fic.

(Loosely inspired by songbird enclosures at the rehab center I work at)- basically, a mesh-walled wooden frame with a comfy little hide box (probably full of stolen trinkets), soft towels and fleece as substrate, and lots of sticks and branches for Tim to climb around on since he’s nonflighted- probably a lot more than I’ve depicted here, but again, lowkey.

- For the sake of general comfort and in case of a bad day pain-wise, his box partially sits on a heating pad that’s on for most of the day.

- Probably would be about 80% covered by a sheet or towel most of the time, since Tim likes to hide a lot.

- Yes, there would be a door with a latch, no, Butler would probably not use it much. He’s already fairy-proofed 90% of his house, Tim can (usually) go where he wants. (Actually, now I’m thinking about him making tiny little ladders and ramps for Tim to get around…)

I just read your Enstars Ever After High AU and I AM OBSESSED. You wrote it so well and the way you merged the two worlds was so well thought out and done??? Kinda helped me understand the actual Enstars story better, too.

If I can ask (feel free not to answer, of course), do you have like....a list of headcanons about what fairy tale the other Enstars cast are?

❤️ What is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?

I have quite a few favorite lines, but I think this is one of my favorite-favorites, and it's more than one line. It's from Now is the Winter of Our Discontent Made Glorious, a Frostiron College AU:

Tony had torn his gaze from the pair, his lips parted to speak to Loki about them, but his words turned to icicles on his lips and dropped away. When he'd thought Loki looked magical earlier, it was just the tip of this iceberg that apparently his friend had somehow kept hidden from him until this moment. Magical was entirely understatement. Loki was practically incandescent in the woods, as if they increased the fairy magic he possessed the longer he was in them. Snowflakes that had fallen since they'd come out rested on Loki's black eyelashes, and the cold had brought faint roses to his cheeks. It might sound entirely unscientific, but Loki's whole aura hummed with sorcery that made it even harder for Tony with the feelings that threatened to explode his heart whenever they were together.

💥 What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?

Tony, Loki, and Natasha dying in Infinity War/Endgame. Because fuck that noise.

👻 What is your wildest headcanon?

Do I have wild headcanons? I'm not sure if I do. I know I have headcanons that sometimes coincide with other people's headcanons about characters, and sometimes they're vastly different - especially for characters that some people are just bound and determined to hate. (Not like I don't have a couple of characters that I'm bound and determined to hate myself, so don't think I'm judging heavily or anything.) I guess one of my headcanons (wild or not) is that Charles Xavier knew from the time Bobby was 15 and showed up at the school that he (Bobby) was gay, and he intentionally suppressed his own self-knowledge of himself. I think that he kept it suppressed until the O5 showed up and O5 Jean outed O5 Bobby with it, and then it was pretty much out there. I also think that Charles intentionally suppressed Scott's bisexuality from him so that he could push Scott together with his little favorite (Jean), probably because he figured he could live vicariously though Scott's experience of being involved with her (since it IS canon that Charles Xavier was in love with Jean - blech). I think that Emma knew that Scott was bi (how could she not pick up on all the suppressed feelings for Logan or Kurt or even crushes on Steve and Tony?) as well as knowing that Bobby was gay, but after all the turmoil she watched her brother go through, she, unlike O5 meddlesome Jean, wasn't going to out either one of them and make their lives any more difficult than they already were until they showed signs of being ready to recognize that in themselves.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?

In my main fandom (Marvel) - Well, there are characters I haven't written much, so I'm not sure if they'd be tough to write, so I don't really want to say that any of them are particularly tough until I've tried them more - or had a reason to. I feel that T'Challa, as much as I absolutely fucking adore him, would be a little challenging for me to write because he's such an enormous character full of so much grace and eloquence and pride in his place and culture that I would be terrified to do damage if I didn't get him down just right.

In a fandom I love and have only written one teeny-tiny thing for (Hannibal) - Hannibal Lecter. I love listening to him speak (esp Mads' version), I love watching him move, dress, cook. He's got so much about him that I love, and he would be a huge challenge if I ever thought to try writing more for that fandom than what drabble I did for a prompt. He has a way of speaking, a way of accessing his vocabulary, and a way of carrying himself that would probably give me fits to try and mirror in a way that felt right.

🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

If someone were to make fanart of my work that I didn't have to commission, I would be chuffed as hell at any of my fics getting the fanart treatment.

That said, I would LOVE to see fanart for Hemispheres, any and and all of that series would likely produce some gorgeous and fun fanart. I would especially love fanart of the scenes of Tony visiting Loki in his Asgardian cell, reading him poetry. Or any of the battle or aftermath of the battle with the dark elves. Loki being there in place of Frigga would be interesting. Loki's dream-memory sequence where Frigga finds him in that memory, tortured and chained up by Thanos and the two of them speaking through it would be angsty af but gorgeous, I think. Loki coming into the throne room after he wakes up, escorted by Sif, and coming up with the solution to Tony's request to take him back to Earth would be fun though very detailed with all the characters present.

Oh the food fight scene in If it be your pleasure to cross the sleeping green between would be messy and colorful and delicious, esp if the fanart was of the make-out that came out of the end of it, Scott and Steve covered in canned pie filling and a total wreck of Steve's kitchen.

All lost in a wonderland (Stranger in Paradise) - Emma and Steve dancing together at Tony and Loki's Casablanca Halloween party would be gorgeous.

Of everything that stands, the end - The end scene with Bucky and Tony standing in the apple orchard, the apple shared between them, and kissing. Definitely a pretty scene.
