I love when I consume some random media that I maybe will never make fanfiction for but I still enjoyed thinking about it, and at least one of the characters has serious gender energy. (Or maybe just the gender energy part, I may not even always enjoy the media itself.) So I sort some AO3 filters for the hell of it and find a small corner of the internet where people are writing about that character and portraying them as trans. It’s such unique way of feeling seen and it’s such a good feeling???

Anyways creators who head canon characters as trans and portray them as such (and do it well) in fanwork pls never stop what you’re doing. You make me feel seen and loved and valued and validated, you make my entire day, I’m still thinking about your story for a long time afterwards, I appreciate your work more than you will ever know and more than I can possibly say in a comment.

Teen Wolf "Green Creek au"

Part 2 | Part 1

It was a strange thing to think about Theo Raeken as an omega. Okay. It was expected, Theo was a loner. The one of a kind. The first Chimera. He was selfish, bitter, didn't care for anyone. But Liam was stroked by a feeling of wrongness when he saw Theo's eyes. Purple, so, so purple.

Because Theo was selfish, and bitter, and didn't care for anyone, but Liam didn't believe that they were all true. He was all those things, but he was also the boy who fought with him. Who decided Liam was enough saving or didn't see enough on himself to save. He was the boy who didn't know how to take someone's pain away because no one had taught him. The kid who was manipulated into thinking that to be powerful, he couldn't trust anyone.

"His leg is going to be okay," Deaton said. "It's going to take longer to heal, at least longer than it should for your kind."

Liam was stroking Theo's head, his fingers moving as if it was an instinct. He wasn't awake, Deaton had given him a sedative so he could close his wounds, and stop the unstoppable bleeding. "Why? Silver shouldn't work on him. I couldn't smell any poison. So, what-"

"He's an omega, Liam. Have been for a while. The Dread Doctors have created a perfect imitation of werewolves, even on this thing."

"He didn't have a pack before."

"Didn't he? They could be dysfunctional, and wronged, somehow, but they were all he had. A family born into that mess, or, at least, something he could rely on. He was with ten for what, ten years? They might not had the strongest bond, but they were all he had. And then, well, he had you to rely on, I suppose." Liam felt out of breath for a second, his hand stopping its movement before he relaxed, letting his hand rest on top of Theo's head. The thought was too close to saying Liam was Theo's anchor.

"How long?" was all he managed to say. "How long is going to take to heal?"

"It's not so easy to guess, but I'd say a week. He's not eating properly, nor drinking water, it's not only he being an omega that's doing this."

Liam worried his bottom lip, eyes focused on Theo's fur "I'm going to take care of this."

"Liam-"

"He can't go back to the woods. He's hurt, and he's going to be vulnerable. He can't go back. Theo is my responsibility, I'm taking care of him."

"I can't tell how long he has shifted, Liam. He- an omega can be dangerous, they can go feral. He's been missing for what, one to two months? He can be in his wolf form since then. This, combined with him being omega is dangerous. He's unpredictable. Theo might be too lost in his wolf. Besides, we don't know when he actually became an omega and how this works, since he is a Chimera."

"Exactly. We can't tell when he became an omega. Deaton, Theo was unpredictable before, and I chose to take him as my responsibility. I'm choosing again."

The vet sighed, shook his head, and pitched his nose before he looked at him again. "Call Scott. He'll want to know what his beta is doing, and why my clinic smells like Theo. Call him as soon you can."

"Yeah. I will." Liam hadn't thought about that.

Nor had he thought how he was going to hide a huge wolf in his room without his mother finding out.

He ended up sat in his bed looking at a still-asleep black wolf. His bedroom smelled like a hospital, a slight smell of blood. But it was combined with citrus and rain, caramel and lightnings. It made his stomach twist.

Theo was an omega, and I felt wrong. Because Theo deserved a pack, a second chance, and happiness. He was eighteen and was caught up in a mess when he was nine. They had promised him that he would be powerful, he wouldn't need to feel insecure or afraid, and what kid would deny that? Theo was a kid when they came, he had been manipulated and used and Liam felt nauseous.

And then, he was ignored by Liam's pack. They had been betrayed before, they had forgiven those. But they ignored Theo. He was left in the woods, they were happy that he was missing —even if Liam said it wasn't true, that he had to hold himself so he wouldn't go searching for him, he never did, so it didn't matter. They didn't care Theo was still a kid, a kid who was brought up in a broken place.

They had failed him. Liam had failed him. He was his responsibility, after all.

And Liam got it, okay? Theo had destroyed their trust, he almost destroyed them. But now, he was an omega, he had shifted into his wolf form because feelings were easier like that. And even then, he couldn't imagine how lonely Theo must have felt. Wolves weren't meant to be alone.

Liam felt sick.

He needed to call Scott, but he wanted to scream at him, even though it wasn't his fault. He never asked anything to them. However, Liam wanted someone to blame and the Dread Doctors were dead while Theo was still suffering.

He inhaled slowly. Citrus, rain, caramel and lightnings filling his lungs. His eyes were on Theo, his wolf form occupying half of his bedroom.

Liam was going to take care of him, at least until his leg healed. He wasn't going to let him alone, not again. Everything was going to be okay, somehow.

He needed to call Scott.

Heyo! 25 year old female writer here. I’m eighteen plus so please please please ensure you are before writing to me! Now about me, I do work, quick fire would be nice but I can’t always be here. So you may see me post more depending on what ideas I’ve got and what cravings I have. But with my time off you can guarantee I’ll be posting more! Just a heads up I’m looking for clean roleplays! I say this not to be mean but because I do consider myself to be advanced literate, I expect potential partners to be the same! A list of characters that seem to only exist as accessories to other characters, even to their biggest “fans”:

Julian Bashir: even the best Julian centric story seems to get derailed half the time into a series of “make him worthy” escapades that are basically the author turning him into what amounts to a toy for Garak to play with. It’s worth noting these stories rarely have Garak, who canonically was a member of the space gestapo, having to grow as a person for Julian. No, Julian committed the sin of being annoying in the 90s and now he must forever repent and be good enough for a guy that should probably be serving ten life sentences in the space Hague.

Sansa Stark: when people aren’t shitting on Sansa for having the temerity to be an artsy eleven year old who doesn’t like her avatar being killed for a crime she didn’t commit and also not liking being assaulted, insulted, and forced to leave a cool place she likes, they’re turning her into a key chain for Tyrion Lannister, Sandor Clegane, Jon Snow, or any other blob of sludge masquerading as a sad man in Westeros. That’s if you’re lucky, as a lot of authors scoop her clean and wear her hollowed out skin as their self insert.

Ian Gallagher. Yet another “not good enough” character. While Gallagher is hardly perfect, the ableism in the fandom is disturbing enough that I wound up leaving it and not finishing the series. Ian is castigated regularly for not being a good, submissive little man for an abusive jackass who regularly assaults or abuses him. Fun.

Carlos Reyes. ACAB and all that, but Reyes in fandom seems to exist solely to be an emotional support boyfriend for TK. This is no surprise, since any attempt to leave that role often results in fans pitching gigantic fits that can likely be seen from space.

Scott McCall. When Scott isn’t being called everything but a child of god by a racist, toxic subset of the Teen Wolf fandom, he’s a cute little toy for Stiles or whatever other white character the author decided to use as a self insert that day. The fandom takes a lot of pleasure in turning Scott into a series of racist Latino stereotypes, often while still claiming that they aren’t racist and Scott is white, anyhow.

jackson in teen wolf is psychologically like if rachel barry had to deal with like brittany or something turning up with magical werewolf singing powers and upstaging her in every way honestly rachel in the teen wolf universe would be so funny she would be so mad if werewolfism gave people perfect pitch she would be filling binders trying to get the first performance enhancing drugs case filed in show choir court to take her rival down

A perfect triad that first opened my eyes to poly ships and triads in particular! I gotta rec this one fic here that's been percolating in my brain for, oh, just- you know, a decade 🙂

2) River/Doctor - River Song and the 11th doctor (Doctor Who), or as I used to tag them- OTP: Whoney I'm home :D

They were arguably my first major OTP after I first learned what that means lol I love a flirty dynamic, bickering, tragic fated lovers, and time travel! My time in the Doctor Who fandom was when I first taught myself how to gif and use photoshop (back when I still had it...) so there's a bunch of gifsets and edits still on my blog from around then, at least one of which I remember featuring this ship!

3) To no one's surprise, I gotta nod along to one of @airenyah 's choices: Destiel - Dean and Castiel (Supernatural)

The amount of fics I read...! I even still have a 9 year old inactive sideblog that I made, posted a lot on, and then abandoned all within the span of one year lmao

Since we're being honest

OK, the gloves are gonna come off and it's gonna be a long one.

I hate this ship. For many reasons, textual, metatextual, fandom, just because it's been too long.

First, a bit about me, I didn't watch Teen Wolf until after the show ended, like two years afterwards. I thought it was a dumb show with a dumb premise and a weird fandom, but then I realized I'm part of other fandoms, and I should take the time to watch the show at least.

And I'd obviously heard about Sterek. Sterek is such a big ship, in any fandom space it was inescapable. So watching the show for the first time, I was let down by how minimal and uninteresting the interactions between Stiles and Derek felt. Derek had more raw sexual chemistry with Jackson over the first season, with Scott throughout the show, with Liam in that one scene in the gym lockerroom than with Stiles.

So that's my textual reason for not really loving the ship. I felt like other ships and characters would be more interesting paired with Derek - again, I didn't watch in real time so I didn't get invested in "who belongs with who" but rather, "This guy is hot with that guy"

Metatextual: I love a twunk with a muscle guy, I do, but Stiles and Derek are pitched so heteronormatively in stories, and that's a result of a lack of fandom imagination for the ship, that it doesn't really strike me as anything other than replicating straight dynamics with a gay twist sometimes.

Beyond that, I find that the Stiles stan / Sterek fandom is pretty fucking horrendous when it comes to Scott and Tyler Posey. Borderline - and sometimes running ramshod past the borderline into full on - racist. Stories where Scott is barely competent and can't dress himself. Stories where he's just a selfish piece of shit because he doesn't want to murder everyone in sight. Shit like that, the ways in which racism subtly bleed into fandom, that shit can take the wind right out of the sales on a ship someone likes. So yeah, but I hate the fandom racism directed at Scott and Tyler Posey. I was reading one story where all the non-white characters are either idiots, corrupt and needing to be kicked out of town, or dead. Good job, fandom, for having unexamined biases

Of course that's not all Sterek people, but it's enough of them that I can't get into their ship.

My final reason for disliking Sterek is one half of the ship has such a rabidly angry, bizarre fandom, one that's so focused on Stiles being the best character of Teen Wolf. I hate the attitude towards Stiles. I like the character, but I hate the tone, the approach, that's taken towards what's essentially a smart character with flaws. Instead of accepting that charaters have flaws - Derek, Scott, Liam have flaws - Stiles stans magnify his virtues and ignore every single time he's too quick to judge, mean, anything in favor of all his perfect virtues.

It reeks of self-insert when they write him. Gary Stu bullshit.

Anyway, long and short of it is that they're turned me off Stiles as a character altogether - heck, I wrote three fics about Stiles sleeping with different men to try and get over that thing, but I couldn't bring myself to go further because I hate Stiles. Love Derek, though.

What can I say? Tangle & Whisper's mini-series had me by the balls. Can't wait to dive into the Metal Virus. In any case, here's a voice cast I've had in mind when reading the comic original characters:

"Christine Marie Cabanos as Tangle The Lemur" - Many fan casters tend to focus on Tangle as a sporty tomboy and think of a raspy voice not unlike Rainbow Dash or Amethyst. This isn't bad but I found myself thinking outside the box when I was revisiting Kill La Kill and its bombass dub at the time. Christine's Mako Makanshoku had just the kind of energy and cocksure that Tangle would have as a rookie to the Resistance.

Mind you, she would even out the pitch to sound closer to a young adult/older teen that the characters tend to (mostly) come across as but no less hyperactive like Mako when the moment calls for it. Additionally, Christine could dip more into her Madoka Kaname performance to capture her more emotional side, particularly when Whisper lets her in on what happened to the Diamond Cutters. It would make for a great range that toes the line just like Tangle has in terms of being somewhat obnoxious but not in a "Scrappy Doo" kind of way.

"Erica Mendez as Whisper The Wolf" - Erica would play her not too unlike her soft-spoken Retsuko (barring Heavy Metal scenes played by an actual Heavy Metal singer) but in a consistently hushed tone. However, moments where she's emotionally devastated like fearing losing Tangle or... losing Tangle would be where her performances as Atsuko Kagari from Little Witch Academia and Gon from Hunter X Hunter come in.

"Todd Haberkorn as Dr. Starline The Platypus" - Todd's performance as Death The Kid shows a very balanced performance between his more goofy side and serious, grounded side, one that would apply well to the campy Dr. Starline. It would work well with his raising of Surge and Kit with his callous use of his Hypno Glove.

"Sarah Anne Williams as Surge The Tenrec" - Anybody who's heard her performance as Nonon Jakuzure and Tifa from FFVII Machinamabridged will know that Sarah can do punk. She just needs to ramp up the gruffness if only to see Surge as a homegrown teenage with major issues.

"Johnny Yong Bosch as Kitsunami The Fennec" - Johnny may be known for his Super Saiyans, bounty hunters on the run and Anime pretty boys but his performance as Doraemon's Nobita as well as Yokai Watch's Nate shows that he can do timid young boy. Kit being the Tails to Surge's Sonic makes it a perfect fit.

"Cherami Leigh Kuehn as Jewel The Beetle" - A similar beleagured tone of voice to Lucy Heartfilia but with an light English accent, a total contrast to Tangle's character. A way to mask it for future performances given Sonic's big cast.

Just another night in my pick-up truck

Finally, after hours of searching, I found this stupid side street. How hard can it be to find a place to sleep? No one lets me park my car anywhere for the night. Not even in hidden places. What should I do? Without having an apartment?

I can't count the number of times I've been chased away by angry homeowners, unsympathetic police officers, and even hunters.

But here now? I actually feel safe for some reason. So far from the main street that no one but the locals knows about this long-forgotten street. I hope to get a good night's sleep. Maybe then I can finally think about what to do next.

As I slowly reclined my seat, it took me about a minute before sleep finally got the better of me. Finally, the warmth overcame me as I pulled my blanket higher under my chin and crossed my arms across my chest.

Out of nowhere, I came across this fateful bride while trying to reach my sister. I killed her! I know that and will never forgive myself for my past atrocities. Suddenly my hand came into my field of vision, and I was finally able to reach her to save her life. Suddenly the dream was gone.

I turned around in a panic, but there was nothing instead than the terror fields of my dreams. "Fucking wake up!" I don't know that voice! What the hell is going on?

My eyes suddenly opened to reveal the darkness of night enveloping my car. "It was just a dream," I mumbled groggily.

"No, you fucking dimwit!"

"Ahhh!" My scream was probably the most unmanly thing I've ever made, high-pitched and fearful. In the next second, my claws popped out, ready to fight. "WHO-?"

"We don't have time, wolf boy, now drive!" The stranger shouted at me. I stared at him, perplexed, my eyes wide in confusion. "Don't look at me, you idiot, drive!" he yelled louder, even more aggressively this time.

Tempted to open my door, I tried to grab it, but the guy was too quick. Before I knew it, his hand wrapped around my neck and pulled me closer to him. So close, even through the darkness, I could see his bright, sparkling eyes and cold expression. “Hunters are out here. Now put your hands on the damn steering wheel and drive!” he ordered me sternly.

I couldn't take his frozen stare any longer and nodded my head. But he didn't let go of my neck, expecting something. I could only stare out the windshield, slowly putting my hands on the steering wheel. Finally, he let go of me, pushing himself off of me

Frightened beyond belief, I did not even try to flee again, knowing deep down that I didn't want to mess with this guy for some reason.

As soon as I started the engine, I heard a rustling from the side, but I didn't dare look. But what surprised me was the light reflected from behind. I knew immediately that the guy next to me was right.

Without thinking, I laid in the gas paddle and left the hunters in the dust. Everything seemed perfect. That was until I heard it... gunshots. I jerked the steering wheel at the sound and spun the car out a little. "Can you fucking keep that stupid car steady, for Christ's sake?" The stranger's angry voice made me wince again. Snorting and gasping, seemingly on the verge of an explosion, I ducked my head and tried franticly to balance the car.

"Finally!" he exclaimed moments later. Just to open the window and shoot? It surprised me so much that I spun around again but got back in line faster than last time. This time the guy only cursed once before he started shooting again.

Trembling because of the sounds of the weapon, it is hard to contain myself. Tears start to form in the corner of my eyes. "Keep your head down!" The stranger suddenly screamed. I thought he was concerned about me, but his eyes were still cold. "After all, you are my fucking prey, and these fuckers should keep that in mind!"

The fight shattered several windows and audibly hit my poor pickup truck.

Luckily the fight was over quickly, with a violent crash behind us. As I looked over at the guy who might have saved my life, concern grew in my heart in seconds. "You got hit!"

The guy looked down at his arm, confused. "It's just a graze," he commented softly. "You needn't worry, wolf cub." A devilish hot grin on his beautiful face made my stomach turn. "Next left, then right, then just straight ahead."

I nodded as he told me. We drove for hours until we came to a small town. "You can let me out over there." He pointed to an empty parking lot. But when we came to a stop, he didn't go away. Instead, he casually leaned against the closed door, looking straight at me, chewing gum. "You're way hotter than they told me, you know." As my cheeks flushed, his grin only widened. "Do you have a phone?"

I couldn't move and just stared at him. But he quickly found the phone and took it in his hand. "Not even a password? You're living on the edge, aren't you?” He shamelessly examined me, even moving my shirt a bit without me doing anything about it. "If you need anything, call or text me."

Immediately after putting the phone back down, he elbowed the door open, rolled out, and landed on his feet. What a damn braggart.

"And sorry about your baby," he murmured sympathetically as he surveyed the exterior of my beloved truck. Only then did I realize with horror what had happened that night. "Drive to the garage at the east end of town and give this card to the mechanic. They'll fix your truck for free!” With a final salute, he pulled a backpack from my truck I hadn't seen before and slipped on a snapback before winking at me, licking his lip lasciviously, and walking away, chuckling.

I couldn't understand why he was giggling until I felt something wet drip onto my forearm. When I looked at it, it appeared to be water, but when I touched my chin. With my hand, I traced it back to my mouth. "Oh shit!" I cursed at myself, "Please, earth, swallow me whole, now!"

As if showing another guy weakness wasn't bad enough, I also drooled over myself because of him. What the hell is going on? When I suddenly felt myself hardening, I was left with only one thing I could do. The horn of my truck could surely be heard across town as I kept banging my head on it.

For a second, I could have sworn I heard that motherfucker laughing at me. But he was long gone. I swear if I see him again, I'll make him pay!

But the question is, will I be the one to make the stranger pay, or will the seeming hunter be the one to get me?

Harmony didn't want to admit it, but she was starting to lose track of how many days she'd been at this. How many days had passed since they arrived? She began her search for the emeralds on not one but two islands, and something told her that she'd have one more when she went to find Buddy.

Part of her wondered how he was holding up, all alone.

A hand would have come to rest on her shoulder as she sat in front of the campfire, but emerald eyes lifted to see her teammate when it only phased through. The most she could manage was a soft smile before looking back to the fire.

"We've only got a little more to go." Whisper was always the group's voice of reason. With a nod, the teen settled herself in for a few hours of sleep before they continued on. She couldn't help anyone if she continued to forgo sleep to gather up the emeralds. The next day, they set off again, assisting the Koco along the way.

They stopped at the massive structure ahead of them, the world distorting with that strange vortex that made Harmony's teeth buzz. As they looked around, the Chaos-like beings could be seen trying to defend themselves from something in the sky—something the two of them couldn't see.

But they could see the beams of light that decimated the Koco's forces. The technology they had built to defend themselves was sliced to pieces and crushed those who couldn't run fast enough. Harmony covered her mouth with her hands, tears building in her eyes as the distortion faded, and they were left to stand on the hilltop.

"Th-they didn't stand a chance..." Her words came as broken hiccups as she stared at the Koco lying still in the sand. If not for Whisper stepping into her line of sight, the teen didn't know how long she would have remained rooted in that spot, but she shook her head and wiped her cheeks with a palm.

"I know... We gotta keep goin'. We just gotta get the way t' that flyin' Titan open, and I can handle the rest."

Sage watched them quietly from above as they headed opposite where the Koco had fallen. The path blocking the teen from the tunnel they needed seemed like a perfect spot for Harmony to release some of her emotions before they could fester. One solid punch had been all it took to knock the barricades out of the way so they could continue.

"Fascinating."

As Harmony stepped out on the other side of the tunnel with Whisper, the tower in the distance caught her attention. It was the only thing that looked like it would get her high enough into the air to reach the Titan. She watched the mechanical beast circle the tower before nodding to herself.

Now or never.

A second passed before Whisper noticed her teammate had left. She watched the trail of dust kicked up by Harmony's rapid footsteps. It was in her hands now, and the wolf knew she could do it. Scaling the tower had been a challenge but with enough speed... Anything was scaleable. The forward momentum upwards was just what she needed to jump outward and grab hold of the Titan as it passed by. Stubby claws dug into the metal paneling to ensure she wouldn't be shaken loose as it spun like a top.

"Oh no, ya don't!" Swinging her body, Harmony grabbed another section with her other hand and dug in. The high-pitched screech filled the air as she hung on for dear life until the opening she needed arrived. The large titan thrashed and whipped itself, trying to dislodge the teen, but it only made it that much easier for her to launch from where she was to the top of its head where the last emerald sat.

After gripping a metal panel with one hand, the other reached out to the emerald that seemed all too happy to come to her. The other six resonated in turn and flooded her body with Chaos Energy. Harmony felt the familiar buzzing, the building energy and strength.

Her power flared, and even though the Titan had thrown her off its head, she corrected herself with a flap of wings and took off into the clouds after it.
