hey hi i have so much autism and my spinterest is cats (for. ten years now probably. smth like that) and i am so nerdy about coat patterns and the genetics,,, esp torties and torbies (the guy i like has a male torbie and im so ready to infodump to him abt that)

anyway context aside: would pebblefreeze be considered a dilute tortoiseshell? im curious because i still dont exactly know what the seperate tail marking would class as but since shes female its likely that it would count as tortie and im just curious as to if thats how that is classified,,,

personally? i don't know a lot about cat genetics! however i Do think that they are cool as hell, and I will give you as much pebblefreeze info as I can to help you figure it out

in the code, Pebblefreeze is considered a Calico, which in clangen terms is just a tortie with more than half white coloring (i think, take everything I say with a grain of salt), with a pale gray smoke base and a ginger tabby tail. She does have the two different patterns, but since one of them is the Smoke pattern, she isn't technically a wildcard tortie. here's her warrior sprite, and here's what she'd look like without the white patches, just to get a better idea of her patterning

9. what oc of yours has had the most drastic redesign?

ooh. tough one. most obvious candidate is the recent arkea redesign since i threw everything out the window there and just made a whole new guy pretty much. literally ZERO relation between the two designs, to the point i didnt really look at eevee arkea when making them.

i think par also counts as a heavy redesign cause while the old design is still technically there.. the space suit is like, entirely a brand new design really.

does it count if the original design never really made it to paper? if so damocles was originally slated as a canine robot that was lookin a little like a foxy-type withered animatronic in my head. heres a concept sketch from when i still trying to make their design work as some sort of dog/coyote/etc after forming into the sword of damocles theme.

also shoutouts rootwatcher for going from little guy to whatever the fuck is wrong with him now. i need to update his design a little again tbh

EDIT: oh, and drizzle was a completely different design from the drawings i was doing when approaching storm was just a clangen file i was having fun with.
