Happy Birthday to my beloved partner Taka!!! I would've drawn something with him at the center, but I've been overwhelmed with work and job hunting this month, so here's what I've been working on in the mean time:

Revenant is soooo mid which is disappointing because I was looking forward to it due to the actors and writer (this isn’t a flop like Jirisan, which I gave up on after 2–3 episodes, but it’s not really good). BUT. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m suffering from “poor little meow meow middle-aged man” deficiency and Professor Yeom Haesang suffers so much. I can’t believe I was like “Oh...okay” about his casting because I’m planting my palms against his windows, peering at him in his little cage and being fed because he’s had the worst life ever and it keeps getting worse. EDIT: Just to keep things clear I didn't really think about bringing it up but not everyone's gonna click to see the first picture and might be confused. Alastor was stated to know only a little bit of broken French, the reasoning due to being from New Orleans. Speaking standard French is very much not a thing in New Orleans, so he would logically only know French-Creole. This is very different from the standard French language and a large misconception that people from New Orleans speak regular French. So yes, he does speak some French, just not as well as people make him nor would it, in theory, be the regular French that everyone makes him speak [but I wouldn't put it past the writers to not do that research but maybe I have too little faith in them]. I'm not from New Orleans, I visited it once so it's not like I'm an expert. But I HAVE looked into it and just bothering with one Google search will tell you it's not common and you'll even have a special term called "Louisiana French" pop up. With that all said, these were statements made on years past streams and could've been changed in the official series. However, as of right now, the official statement is that he speaks only a little broken French that should technically be French-Creole if they're going by and that he's from New Orleans to know that language. And again, I don't have a lot of faith in writers to do the research into it being Louisiana French rather than regular French, but now I'm rambling lol This is just a bit of context for this comic so people who were curious can understand it a bit more. And it's totally possible I got something wrong, so feel free to point it out when I do. I just like to dig into the nooks and crannies of information for things :3 2nd EDIT: Just for any future reblogs, I did get somethings incorrect in the above (not surprising), so here's some of the corrections I got:

@mangotangerine: "A tiny nitpick - it would likely be Louisiana Creole, which is one of the French-based Creole languages (Haitian Creole is prob the most well known as it has about 10-12 million speakers vs Louisiana Creole which has around 10,000 due to multiple factors but especially legislation in early 1920s outlawing it). Louisiana French is an umbrella term for the various French dialects/etc in the region (e.g., the dialect Cajun French)." (We actually had a whole conversation in the comments of this post and highly suggest looking down there in case you're interested in learning more!)

@alyssumflowers: "I am from New Orleans and a little bit of a language nerd. You're confusing some things here. Cajun French is a dialect of French. My great grandmother spoke it fluently, my grandfather in pieces.

Louisiana Creole is another language entirely. The word "creole" means mixed and a creole language is basically a mixture of two or more languages. Sort of, it's a linguistics thing. Anyways. Louisiana Creole has next to no speakers left and I've had a hard time trying to find somewhere or someone to learn it from because I really want to." As for your questions, I can't actually be specific cos there's no definitive number I have in mind for either. Basically there are a number of sectors (you can consider them their equivalent of countries - they have less than what we do though), and a number of species of demon of which I've designed about seven of. The ones I've shown before are these guys (and do you think I could find this pic again? No, I had to recreate it cos for the life of me I couldn't remember what ask I'd previously stuck it in lol):

Glad you are enjoying the snippets of BP I've got here and there :D Here is an older ref on Izm back when i first got the idea (at that time i didn't really plan to do anything with it, it was just an AU. Now it's my main project haha. Anyway the ref is a little bit out of date in that regard.)

I used to have a "field guide" which was also made quite a while ago, unfortunately the death of Flash kinda killed it. Here's a screenshot of some relevant info from it though.

That's an interesting one as it's questionable how sentient souls are after removal 🤔 In my mind its only form is the smoke light, it can "see" to some degree and MIGHT be able to talk (but in a very no one can hear them sort of way, a la i have no mouth and i must scream. So i guess it can think "aloud"). The more time passes the less sentience it has.

It could try, though it wouldn't really get anywhere if it's in Rire's collection. He might just eat it lol.

.D: Good with kids, will be fine in all aspects.

Izm: The fun dad however needs a partner that knows what they're doing to ensure the child safety during shenanigans.

Marcus and Zeke: Also would be good parents though might be more helicopter out of protectiveness/worry when first starting out.

They are similar to our known society for this! So basically, there are some good families out there (eg Zeke - who is a demon - is from a pretty average loving family), and there are some bad families out there who only care about power or having an heir or whatever.

HH Rire is a human. I differentiate between him and Demon Rire because they are two different characters...even though they are also technically the same character lol. You can consider them as alternate universe iterations of a base "Rire" concept.

Do you think there's a more complex and nuanced outcome as a result of Katara marrying Zuko rather than it just being Katara becoming a fire lady? Especially since, technically, she's the daughter of a chief and that considers her to be a tribal princess like Yue.

That is a good question. I suppose I don't think there's a situation where Katara marries Zuko and doesn't become fire lady. Since the definition of the word is, and correct me if I'm wrong, the Fire Lord's wife. But if you mean whether she'll live in a palace, I believe that she will.

According to this article she also lived Far From Home (lol) with A\ang, and in their family picture none of them wear clothes for the SWT's cold weather. Which does make sense with how fine she was with leaving to find Aang and how she spent the entire series away from home and the show rarely treated it as an issue to be dealt with. Additionally, now that the war is over she can pay regular visits to her home.

But that doesn't mean that the chief's daughter becoming fire lady isn't complex and nuanced. First thihgs first, I want to go through what being the fire lady & daughter of the chief would mean.

The fire lady doesn't seem to have duties, since we never see Ursa do anything for the Fire Nation. But it at least has to grant you respect and THE connection to the Fire Lord. Katara isn't Ursa, and is passionate & active in nature. The role comes with a certain power that can assist with one's political pursuits greatly.

As for her being a tribal princess, as opposed to the Fire Lady, Yue explicitly that she has duties.

Yue: You don't understand. I have duties to my father, to my tribe.

But Yue was probably the heir to the throne. She had no siblings as far as we know, and she says "my tribe". I don't know whether the north would accept a female chief, given how sexist it was. But some evidence there is to support that she was the heir is this line from her fiance:

"Perks". If she was going to marry him for him to become the chief despite having no other connections to the bloodline, he wouldn't casually call becoming a chief a "perk". Furthermore, when Sokka tries to hit on her, he remarks of their simularities as they're both a prince and a princess. And Sokka is ann heir, he's the future chief.

It's likely that they were arranged for other political reasons and Yue was going to become queen. Whether she was going to be respected/accepted is up in the air.

But we do know of another heirs that might help us get a fuller picture: Eska and Desna. They had a duty to their father as a prince and a princess. It was their wish to help their father whom they believed was a great man. Which isn't typical for an heir. This is why we can look at their case to see what Katara's life as the daughter of the chief would look like. In their case, they helpped the NWT in whatever they thought was right. And it's likely that so would Katara.

What does that leave us with? A role that grants her political power in the Fire Nation with no duties, and a person with a duty to the Southern Water Tribe.

The Positive

To me this paints a clear picture: Katara would use said political power to push the Fire Nation to rehabilitate the Southern Water Tribe from their atrocities.

I'm not the first person to show these before vs. After pics, but it's very important to remember the sheer extent of the Fire Nation's harm to Katata's home.

And until the show ended, Katara was still the last waterbender of the south. Don't get me wrong, it IS Zuko's job to rehabilitate the SWT. But she'd want this.

Katara always want to help those around her by any means necessery. If it's getting captured in a Fire Nation prison or blowing up a factory, she will find the power to help others. So the power to fix the wrongs inflicted on her own culture and home being given to her, just for loving who she wants to love, is incredibly rewarding and narrativly satisfying.

The Negatives

1. All of what I've just described is good in theory, but in practice she's likely to face immense backlash. The people of the Fire Nation have been indoctrinated into believing the war was good and were fed Fire Nation propaganda since their school days (The Headband) and continued well into adulthood (Ember Island Players).

Suddenly the new fire lord comes along and decides that the war they've been fighting fir a 100 years is bad actually. And NOW he's dating a waterbender and the daughter of the chief, no less. + Suddenly the girl is starting to have demands. She'll be one of the most cobtroversial figures of that era, and that's no easy task.

2. It opens the door for one bad situation that no one could be blamed for. What if Zuko's heir would be a waterbender? That cannot be. Will the role of the heir go to whoever's a firebender/none bender regardless of order? What would it make their kids feel? Will Zuko be okay with how it'd make his kids feel? It raises so many questions, so many complexities and there seem to be no winners.

But looking at these negatives from a perspective of literary merit, as A:TLA is a fictional work, are these really negatives? I'd say no. There is no real suffering at stake here, only captivating conflicts to be explored. In real life, these nasty situations have to be dealt with. They're raw, they're complicated, and in literature, that's good. Conflicts are the oxygen of a story. Especially ones with no easy answers.

In conclusion, Katara marrying Zuko would make her the fire lady. This would lead to complex and nuanced situations, both good and bad, making for excellent conflicts/character progressions.

One time on a first date with a guy, he had asked me why I was so specific about where and how I wanted to meet. I told him, I can always tell whether a man is interested in me from the very first look they give when they walk towards you. And it's important for me that I arrive early so that I can see the man walk towards me. Because they have 1 of 3 looks. 1) is they're just ambivalent and typically they're not attracted 2) the have this awestruck look of interest 3) they are leering almost up and down and it's too sexualized. And they lose interest quickly (and doesn't matter because I'm not interested in this type obviously).

And he asked me which type I found him to fall under. And I told him that he's ambivalent and not attracted. And he was like, nooo that's not the case. But I was like this has never failed me lol. Even though this whole time prior to meeting me, he had built up how attractive he thought I was. Really liked all my pics. And before meeting me and during the date itself, he said Pakistani women are beautiful (he was Bengali). End of the date, he walked me to my car and said let's do it again sometime.

And sure enough, he reached out but kinda mildly, boring - how was your weekend. To which I replied and equally boring response, and it died lol.

I have literally saved so much energy by making sure that I arrive first on a date. This puts me in a more comfortable spot and the guy in a more nervous spot. With you technically "receiving" him. As opposed to the traditional, him receiving you. And in that moment, with him walking towards you there is no pretense. And you can really see their very initial feelings towards you imho.

A Discussion of Soulmagic

Verloren presented his research notes to his latest visitor as he described the process of pulling magic directly from a creature's soul instead of just the physical body, a concept that none had attempted before him. He had been explaining the exact same thing to several different people lately and more often than not he was met with disdain and skepticism. He was so tired of all these mages who seemingly couldn't embrace new ideas telling him that this was too complicated and irregular to be worth it. But he did not mind what they thought about his work and continued to discuss it with others when he had the chance, trying to find more folks who could have interesting ideas for his consideration. Verloren had heard about Hyden's impressive magic skills, and how he was particularly interested in darker magics. Would he be able to see the true potential of soulmagic?

Long stupid excessive ramblings below :'D

I was working on this for a long time. Kinda had it planned for a few years actually, before I even redesigned Verloren and got obsessed with him! They're both evil mages who caused chaotic historical events and then eventually faced The Consequences and lost their powers, so I felt like there was a lot of room for crossovers hehe. I started actually working on this in December and totally thought I'd finish in January but... oh well I guess that didn't happen xD

Unfortunately, all this time spent working on this pic has allowed me to come up with a fuckton of headcanon about it, and I could not rest without spilling all of it in an obnoxiously long wall of text.

So, if I were to steal Hyden and adapt him into my setting, I think he would be a Grand Augur of Necromagic from a kingdom neighbor to Houndsdagger. Augur is a word I stole because it looks cool, but in my setting it basically means a mage that works for the kingdom and does magic research. A Grand Augur is a higher rank than an augur, typically has earned the title through their experience, but also usually they're nobles or important people. They get a seat at the royal council of magic and stuff. So yeah I think that would fit him kinda. And necromagic because it allows for some of the most powerful crafts... and because it's typically the most potentially evil of the magics lol

This probably would take place when Verloren's work with soulmagic was starting to attract private clients looking for dark powerful magics, so Hyden might have heard the rumors about a mage in Houndsdagger who could make magic from souls (of animals but also of people obviously). At first, he might have thought it was nonsense like witchcraft (non-standard magic that a lot of people consider superstition) but maybe he might have grown a bit interested once he learned that this was apparently some extremely powerful form of magic. So on the next opportunity he had to visit Houndsdagger, Hyden decided to check it out and meet this Augur Verloren.

I think this interaction could go well, but it could also go really bad.

Verloren is known for being difficult to work with and straight up hostile at times. He's very quick to judge and will not work with you if he decides that he dislikes you for any reason, so the way that Hyden approaches him would matter a lot. Some things about Verloren that I think would influence Hyden's opinions of him:

- Verloren is just an augur, and augurs typically serve under Grand Augurs, so Hyden is technically above him, although he doesn't exactly have any authority over him since he's from a different kingdom. - Verloren is also not noble or anything like that, AND he's from Vykrest. The Vykrest are a bit more animal-like in some of their ways (like growling, biting, running on all fours at times), which makes people from outside think they're somewhat uncivilized or primitive. Doesn't help their image that they're typically wary of outsiders, with some of their cities restricted to their kind alone. - Verloren also usually appears kinda arrogant, like in a "I don't have time for you" sorta way, which pisses off a lot of people who think that he should bow down to them.

But I think if Hyden is interested in what he has to offer, he would be wise enough to treat him well no matter what he actually thinks of him. And unless the other person is being actually rude to him, Verloren enjoys talking about his work and showing what he's capable of even if he doesn't like them. (It's the part of working with/for someone he hates that he won't do.)

Verloren's work is very complex and his notes and diagrams might seem to make no sense, so Hyden might be skeptical at first, but he'd probably change his mind after some demonstrations of soulmagic's power. I think he would be especially interested when Verloren gets to the part about the Triangle Workyn of Ravenbone, a craft that could permanently increase one's magic ability.

So at this point, if the conversation was going well, they might try to make a deal. Verloren offered his soulmagic services for a cost, but he was very picky about what that cost would be. He was not interested in wealth and instead he would ask his potential client what they could offer that would be really worth his time. Hyden probably would have some interesting magic knowledge to share... or maybe he would offer Ambroys' blood. I have some thoughts about what this would mean in my setting but I guess I can spare you of those ramblings and leave for some other time since it's not directly related to this pic anyway.

Aside from that payment, there would be the materials required for the craft, and for the Triangle Workyn of Ravenbone that included three victims, with their souls bound to their skulls (the process that allows you to use a soul in magic), who should be made to kill each other in order. Verloren would provide the soul-bind spells but Hyden would have to find victims and handle the killings on his own (which I think he'd be pretty capable of doing.) So once Hyden had all the required materials, they'd meet again to do the Triangle Workyn of Ravenbone on him. If everything went right, congratulations! Hyden can now output a lot more magic at once, making all of his spells stronger. Also, his bones are black now (that's what the Ravenbone in the name is about), and possibly a bit stronger too.

Overall, I think they would get along ok, but not exactly amazingly. More of a "I guess I can deal with this guy" sort of thing despite obviously having some shared interests. They'd probably have pretty good conversations about magic, but that alone.

But what if their conversation actually didn't go so nice? If Verloren refused to work with Hyden, how would he react? How would he feel about this random lowly wild-dog of a person having some unbelievably powerful magic rivaling his own and not being able to get it for himself? During Verloren's time as an augur, he gathered several enemies who'd plot his demise and attempt to have him killed and steal his work, and I think maybe Hyden might have been one of those. Eventually, some of his most influential enemies end up convincing the king of Houndsdagger to have Verloren exiled, and maybe Hyden could have been involved. It turned out to be a terrible idea however.

Ahhhh there would be more, but I think it might already be enough and maybe I should shut up...

Anime Fest Plus 2024 Convention Experience Log - With Photos!

Hi, hello! As I've recently (as of this post, yesterday morning) attended Anime Fest+ 2024 at Tropicana Gardens Mall, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, I've decided to write an experience log about my day there! While I will be posting a few different cosplays here, since my blog is currently primarily about MDZS, TGCF and SVSSS at the moment, most of the cosplays I'll be sharing will be from these three titles. To add to the fun, I'll also have commentaries on them!

To preface, the largest anime convention in Malaysia is Comic Fiesta, an annual mecca with 70,000 attendees as of the year 2023. Anime, games and comics are popular in this country, so there are smaller cons dotted throughout the months.

Anyway, the crowd wasn't as large as Comic Fiesta. As the structure of Tropicana Gardens Mall is rather narrow, you'd technically have to file through in two to three lines to be able to walk in and out of the place.

The exhibition hall at the fourth floor hosted all performances as well as cosplay booths. You'd have to ride one of the two escalators up to the hall - plebs without a ticket are doomed to be stranded at the bottom of said escalators, unable to sop up the merriment held exclusively above.

Here are some pics though, just in case you were a pleb that day, or just didn't attend the event:

Main hall programs and booths featured mostly Hololive and sexy pretty girl cosplayers and figurines, given the regular, expected fare when it comes to the anime consuming demographic (yes, I'm calling you out, my anime-watching brothers). I didn't take pictures of the doujinshi market out of respect for the art sellers there, but I did buy a beautiful print and got some lovely free stickers from that ONE vendor who sold BL stuff among the throngs of moe girls/Genshin Impact.

Yes, there was only one stall. But that one vendor made my day! Bless your heart, sister!

Now, I'll move on to the highlight - the cosplays. Nothing fills my heart with more joy than seeing happy people wearing colorful costumes and having a blast just being part of the convention scene. To be honest, it's so common to be wearing cosplay outfits nowadays that folk don't even notice you when you're dressed up - and I say this from experience; nobody noticed at all that I was in costume (or they were far too polite to laugh at how shitty I looked LOL, I didn't even dare take pics of myself). These events usually become scavenger hunts for me, to identify the ones from series I know or my tribe (fellow MXTX fans aha!).

First up is an oldie that's a goldie - Mr. Spock from Star Trek (credit: FaceBook user Yasuhiro Orihusay):

Honestly, I did NOT expect to find any Star Trek cosplays there. My dad's a Trekkie, so this was one of the first pics I sent him at the con itself. Live long and prosper, Mr. Spock!

Next, a furry OC:

I wasn't able to get their social media account as they were waiting in line for an autograph by a cosplayer, so unfortunately I'm unable to credit here.

Furries are currently still a new thing in Malaysia - but I'm glad to see them appearing more frequently at our cons, since they do diversify our pop culture scene quite a bit. Furs Upon Malaysia (FURUM) is held annually in Kuala Lumpur. The tickets are always sold out within an hour, so it's definitely growing and also contributing to tourism (Indonesian and Singaporean furries gather there too).

Also, they're fluffy. I love fluffy things. Much thanks, furry fandom, for being fluffy!

Moving on, here's a group cosplay of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure's Six Pistols (Mista from Golden Wind's Stands, if you're wondering which season it's from):

Vibrant and very spot on! I was unable to get their social media account due to the crowd and disorientation on my part. Do try to look them up, though! They were pretty popular, so I'm sure someone would have shared some info if you're interested.

Final Fantasy's one of the older franchises, but it's definitely rising again due to the new FFVII remake. I thought he was Garnet until I saw the blond wig. Bless the mages, healing power plus!!

Next in line is one of my all-time favorites, Sailor Moon (credit: https://www.instagram.com/jiahuab0719_cos/):

I'm a Moonie so seeing a Sailor Moon made me pretty excited! I don't see too many Sailor Moon cosplays even in Comic Fiesta - cosplays at our conventions are pretty seasonal and tend to follow trends, from what I've seen. She definitely caught quite a bit of attention with her wings, too. I saw her getting stopped quite a bit, so I'm glad I got a pic before a line formed!

Aaaand! I've saved the best for last! I'll be showcasing the MXTX stuff now. To start off (with a bang), here are two cosplayers of the number one seasonal love interest of the BL world, Hua Cheng a.k.a. San Lang Didi (Grown Up Version):

Remember how I said cosplays at Malaysian conventions tend to be pretty seasonal? Well, the current flavor of the month for the BL world is definitely TGCF - and the hottest flavor is now San Lang didi. You're going to get stopped for photos pretty often for dressing up as this flashy guy, and for good reason too. Donned in striking red, Hua Cheng is the Ferrari of the danmei world.

I overhead Kopiii_cos' friend saying so many people have been asking for photos! Viva Fafa!

Next, we have the ever beautiful WangXian couple cosplays:

WangXian's a staple when it comes to the MXTX fandom. There's nary a person who doesn't love these two soulmates, and with these elaborate costumes, they've certainly stolen the show! They were the first couple I saw at the entrance of the exhibition hall, which makes sense since there was an OTP contest going on that afternoon.

Moving along, we have the main character of his story, the Crown Prince of Xian Le, Xie Lian (credit: https://www.instagram.com/arkutagwa/):

I gotta admit that this Lian's the sweetest of the Xies so far. Had a field day calling each other cute (what can I say, we both had cute personalities)! Gotta love that charming dimpled cheek, bless!

I won't lie - I didn't recognize the character at first. But with the dark-gray-to-white ombre, black and red colors to tell you that's a Wei Wuxian, I'm just going to take a gamble here and deduce that yes, that is indeed a Wei Wuxian and include it. Let me know if you don't think it is.

Last but not least, we have our MXTX OTP group:

Turns out they're a group who'd entered the OTP contest that afternoon. If you're wondering, no, Binghe isn't paired with air (this is Bing-mei, not Bing-ge). There was a large number of attendees that day as it was Sunday, so their Shizun was still looking for parking. I'd gotten lucky since I'd arrived there just as they'd opened up Basement 3 so ZOOM I parked near the escalators with plenty of space to spare. Until today I chalk it up to being last-minute dressed as Xie Lian, the god of good luck for hobos like myself (or, according to popular belief, Hua Cheng's blessed every Xie Lian cosplayer out there no matter how much we look like we've just stepped out of a jungle). I also had plenty of space to sit for a lovely lunch of salad and green tea!

Granted, there were actually a few other Xie Lians there as well (he's the current flavor as well), but I didn't want to chase after them from afar since the flow of human traffic in this particular mall wasn't too conducive for trying to get pictures, unlike KLCC's garden. Usually, more fans are dressed as the two main characters, Wei Wuxian and Xie Lian - or the shous/bottoms in popular danmei. Surprisingly, I actually saw quite a number of gongs/tops this trip round.

Mark Alan, Count of Queanbeyan

+ explanation & lore

Okay first I'll explain the drawing itself, and then go into Mark's lore a bit, so stay with me!!!

First of all, yep. Mark with long hair. When I first conceptualized how he'd look in this au, I just genuinely could not imagine him with the typical long curly wig. And that irked me, bcs its just sooooooo historically inaccurate for him to have had short hair, no wig. I sketched him and Jense out as chibis, I drew Mark with short hair, and literally wrote "haha wow he looks so bad with long hair!!" Hello, can I take back that statement? It's actually shocking how good he looks???? Maybe it's a testament to my skill that I could make this work. But I did! And man, shameful to admit, but this might be my best portrait ever 😭😭 Funny tho, guy I've barely drawn, and never as detailed as this, ends up being one of my favs. Mark, you bastard!!

^ lmao as you can see, I tried out a more Seb type wig and then realized ahhhhh nah, he needs a different style. And it worked so, yay!!! I've thought a lot recently, "man it would suck back then if you looked shitty in a wig" and I rescind that. I'm telling you, you think a man would look bad in a wig? I say think again, you're just not conceptualizing the right type of wig for him.

Also wow, its crazy thst I can finally actually visually see what he would look like next to others like Seb and Fernando in this au. Hehehe look at them!!! The boys!!!! Just need Jense :,)

Anyways, I digress, some lore notes about Mark since I don't think I've really talked about him in this au on main much.

He is, of course, Seb's closest servant. His Groom of the Bedchamber(yes that term makes me feel rabid.) He's actually also based on a real guy, whom was described as the Emperor's "favorite" and despite not technically having very important positions, he had a lot of influence because of his closeness and connection with the Emperor. So, yeah, I think that's gives a pretty good pic of Mark in this au :)

He's actually pretty satisfied with his role, but he does feel a bitter and jealous when interacting with others like Jenson and Fernando. Because Mark doesn't have a title, well not in the same way. He's a count, not a King, not a Prince. Yes he's nobility, but not in the same way. And he's satisfied being under Seb, because that's what Mark was raised to do, take care of and keep Seb in line. But often realizes he's never going to be on par with him, not in the same way Fernando can, even if he's Seb's closest confidant.

To build on that. He's very satisfied with his role, and even continues to be satisfied when Fernando comes into the picture. Fernando and Seb don't get along, Mark is always going to be the closest to Seb, always going to know him the best, take care of him the best. But he realizes, he would never get to marry Seb, he's not ranked high enough for that. He was raised to do what's best for the Emperor, he's never going to be able to compete with Seb the same way Fernando can. He really wants Seb and Fernando to succeed! To grow closer! But it still really hurts sometimes.

His closest friend, other than Seb, is Jenson of course(and eventually Fernando, after they stop growling at each other like they're Seb's dogs.) But he does get bitter about Jenson sometimes. Jenson is a prince, who had some great performances in battle. But eventually got tired of that lifestyle, and "retired" to being part of Seb's court. Mark can't really understand that. How do you throw that level of prestige and freedom away. How do you just become the Emperor's servant, when that was never what you were born for. But also, I think Jense definitely uplifts him, they just get along so well, and Jense truly cares for him, no other motives :)

LOL sorry I realize how depressing this sounds 😭 I think all of the above is just Mark at his most bitter, but he's genuinely pretty happy. Think of the whole "not bad for a number 2 driver thing", that's him in this AU. He knows his station, and god damn it, he's gonna be the best, most loyal groom there ever was!! He just cares for Seb so deeply, and it truly is his life path to serve him. Seb cares for him too, feels like he can always rely on him and always be reassured by him and his eternal presence in Seb's life. It's nice to have someone you can always fall back on. Sometimes literally. Yes he makes Mark carry him to bed.

Not to stray away from just Mark, but aaaaahhh the Martian in this AU. Just Mark having to put up with Seb's brattiness all the time, and care for him all the time :) He's so tired of catching Seb naked tho...Seb please put clothes on, this is not befitting of your station. Seb takes Mark with him everywhere, and they share the same bed on trips. Mark is always the first Seb goes to to ask his opinion. I said earlier that Mark feels like he cannot challenge Seb in the same way Fernando can, but Seb really wants him to honestly! He loves hearing Mark's thoughts and opinions. Mark is widely known as Seb's favorite, and is often seen as the second authority in the palace and in the court.

As for Webbonso? I think they really dislike each other in the beginning just because the roles that they're in. They both feel like they're pitted against each other, and ir doesn't help that Seb loves to tease them and often favor one in front of the other(he later realizes how shitty this is, and tries to rectify it, because he never intended to make them actually jealous, he just loves being bratty.) Eventually they realize they're in extremely similar situations(both beholden to and stuck eternally with the Emperor), and find comfort in each other in that.

Yep that's right...the palace is honestly one big polycule djkfkglg. But I hope thay explains Mark in this AU well enougg???? All you need to know: Seb's long-suffering servant.

I cleared the tail end of Book 4 and all of Book 5 two days ago so fair warning, I'm still not completely aware of all the ins and outs of Ortho and Idia. And I might have to redo some of my Pomefiore headcanons with Book 5 in mind, namely Rook??? Whose apparently from Sunset Savanna??? Anyways, onto the designs...

🎮Idia Shroud🎮

(he/it) Unlabelled Gender - Achillic Asexual

Ah, the most relatable character in Twisted Wonderland...

- I don't think I really changed a whole lot about him physically, tbh. Gave him slightly bluer skin and dark makeup. I figured he's kinda one of the closest characters to like alt fashion and stuff so I slapped some piercings on him.

- You can't see them with his GIANT MESS OF HAIR but I gave him some piercings. I'll just grab a pic of them rq.

No bald Idia today guys.

- He's autistic. Is that even up for debate at this point? Either way, I feel like he'd actually hate having hair against his neck and typically put it into a ponytail or something. That shit would be hella warm otherwise, fire or no.

- He plays dating sims religiously but god forbid someone ACTUALLY flirts with him. In the unlikely scenario that he actually realises they're hitting on it, he just freaks out and runs, physically if possible. I think he's unintentionally shut people down hard because he cannot fathom why anyone would like it.

- He has to fight his demons whenever he see any of the people with cat ears which me too me too. Ignihyde actually has a bit of a stray cats issue, namely because Idia sets out food and water for them and refuses to let anyone take them away. They never get into the workshops or anywhere dangerous and Idia has named all of them.

- He has unique names not only for the stray cats of Ignihyde but also for all of the ones in his games, in specific his Minecraft cats.

- It's actually in the process of making a robotic cat as a sort of emotional support animal since a live cat isn't allowed in classes due to allergies (which Grim is exempt from due to him not technically being a cat and not producing allergens, fun fact).

- Oh! And I headcanon him as Greek and Japanese. Forgot that oops. Nationality-wise he'd be Australian though.

I was struggling to think of things that were just canon facts of his character already, which, to be fair, some of this could be but moving onto...

🦾Ortho Shroud🦾

(they/it/he) Nonbinary???

I actually adore how they came out omg. I have no really experience with robot/cyborg character design so I gave myself some liberties.

- First and for most, I made a lot of its robot features more obvious with panelling that would make it easy for Idia to access any brain or vocal mechanics. You cannot convince me that Idia, known for liking video games and anime, would pass up an opportunity to make Ortho look cool asf. Or maybe Book 6 can but for now, panels.

- I don't know if it's ever brought up in detail Ortho's like material components and stuff but I think they're made with the anti-magic stuff Charon's ferrymen have, further enhanced and durable. His freckles help with sensing particularly smell and temperature.

- His eyes took a bit of inspiration from Genoa, I just though a black sclera would look super cool tbh.

- It's hair is a bit crazier and I wanted to lowkey emulate Medusa vibes with it and the soulless eyes lol.

Not much else right now but I know damn well Book 6 will make me cry... Time for the ocs!

🪻Fuji Izanami🪻

Third Year - (she/he) Bigender - Bisexual

- So, a bit of a disclaimer, I've never actually seen Hercules because I was a Greek mythology nerd and was offended by the inaccuracies lol so keep that in mind with the ocs for this dorm. Fuji is my Cerberus character!

- He's the vice-housewarden of Ignihyde and tends to help out with Ortho's upgrades by moving the heavier parts that Idia can't lift.

- Since I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, Cerberus means 'spots', I wanted her to have a ton of freckles as an omage.

- She's fully Japanese and has been a childhood friend of the Shrouds, with both families going way back. He was kind of Idia's emotional support before Ortho was allowed as well as a bit of a bodyguard. She and Ortho were the reason Idia didn't have to attend with a mass guard force.

- Quiet and seems quite menacing at first but is a huge softie and loves to be around other people. She and Jack are workout buddies and bond over common music tastes in the J-Pop and K-Pop genres.

- When she's talking to Idia or Ortho, it tends to be in Japanese (neglecting that the game is set to Japanese, imagine the default is like a common tongue or something lol).

- He specialises in heavier mech tech, developing protective wear and other durable things to work with. She hopes to intern with Charon eventually and work to study the containment of blot.

Now for another set of triplets, these ones all in Ignihyde...

🕰️Ye-Jin Ryu🕰️

Second Year - (she/her) - Sapphic

So these next three characters are representative of the Fates, they're Korean.

- Ye-Jin is my 'past' character. I styled her hair is an older-fashioned wavy cut and gave her some classy pearl earrings to give that 🌸vintage aesthetic🌸.

- Her primary skill set and interest is in re-purposing older things and upgrading them i.e. keeping the older aesthetic but making the mechanisms modern and remove the fear that it'll break down from overuse and whatnot.

- As such, she's a sucker for antiques and older fashion trends, mostly consisting of long skirts and formal wear. That being said, she still wears properly protective gear w an working on one of her projects.

- A hobby of hers is photography and she loves both actually taking photos as well as experimenting with different kinds of old cameras. She's a part of a photography club and also has a photo wall in her room.

- Never one to slack, she enjoys journalling and writing letters in her pass time as well. A hopeless romantic, she and Chanda share a class and Ye-Jin writes little posty notes for her.

Now for the present..

Second Year - (she/they) - Heteroromantic Bisexual

- Ji-Ho is the present and reflects a more modern Korean makeup style and haircut. I think she'd have reading glasses but only wear them when necessary.

- She has an interest in modern technology and pushing its limits. Adding more storage to a computer than typically offered, making a car even more gas efficient, that kind of stuff.

- They like a combination of things but are actually a part of the Spelldrive Club. She wanted to try something new and expand their bases. It gave her some insight for a recent interest in prosthetics she's developed.

For the final Fate,

���Dae Ryu👾

Second Year - (she/they/it) Agender - Pansexual

- Dae is the future! I gave her more sci-fi-y makeup and a bit more flare in its hairstyle. Some piercings and ta dah!

- They specialise in bio-tech. Looking at nature to modify scientific approaches and being more environmentally friendly. Sustainability is a top priority for Dae.

- She wants to eventually make basic resources easily accessible to all and is doing its best to work out a solution. They're connecting the dots lol.

- Dae is a part of the hiking club and loves being around nature as much if not more than being in her lab. They often go hiking with Chunying on weekends.

For the last Ignihyde student and the final Benoit...

💀Cooper Benoit💀

First Year - (they/he) Nonbinary - Queer

- Cooper is twisted from Barrel and is the last of the Benoit family to be introduced. They are a very booksmart person and a math nerd.

- He's also disabled and typically uses a wheelchair. As such, they have been working on trying to improve the school's general accessibility as even with magic, NRC's campus can be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair.

- Similarly to Idia, Cooper is a total cat person and he and Idia take care of the strays together. Cooper's slowly memorising the names lmao.

Old Sonic sketches that would lead to my Lost Prince AU(Slight spoilers & lots of rambling)

As the title says this was stuff for a past version of my Sonic stuff before I made my Lost Prince AU. I guess you could say I've been working on this stuff for a long time & these are in a sense the stepping stones to my stuff.

The dates for when I scanned stuff is on the pic cause it's interesting to learn how old these are & cause I had to edit stuff due to images being too light when I scanned them(plus everything was saved as a bmp because png files opened photoshop & I didn't know how to fix it as a kid) but if they're not there I'll mention the date if it's mentioned in the DA posts I got these from in my gallery.

I've put a keep reading due to how long this is(as if I haven't left other long posts without it in the past) & also because it's slightly spoilery for my Lost Prince stuff. Things have been edited/redone over time but there's still some stuff that would be a spoiler for later events in my stuff. I also ramble a lot in this & at points mention stuff meant to go in the current version to show similarities or differences between the old & present versions.

Just a heads up my self-insert Sonicsona cause for some reason I'm just there at points. My Sonicsona went threw a few designs changes when I was younger. This was also before I became a guy.

Another warning is that this was back when I didn't like Amy as much so she's not exactly drawn in a good light at points.(In the more current version I've worked on things)

There's also a bizarre thing at the end that also mentions weird crossovers(scrapped ideas that will make sense later) & mentions of violence. I'm sorry I just thought I'd explain some of this weird plot that has been changed over the years. Again a lot of this is no longer in my version of Sonic.

The moment Sonic disappeared after Sonic Underground. I think I was working on a comic for the series(too ambitious & too much to deal with at the time) with this being a prologue page.

For context Knuckles tried to save Sonic from falling off Angel Island while it was raining & Sonic let go because if he knew neither he nor Knuckles would survive falling off the island if this kept going. The dialogue is muted by the rain, I dunno the context behind Sonic being struck by lightning was because I don't have it in my current stuff.

Jules wasn't originally a mage studying chaos energy just some guy with powers thanks to his studies in chaos energy which he used to heal Sonic. In this he has a locket with him & Sonic in it, I have no idea why there's a doodle of Shadow & Sonic since Sonic won't meet Shadow for 50(in the new one technically 40) years. I think this is a ref to scrapped stuff involving an OC of mine named Kiku that was at one point meant to be Sonic's reincarnation before I scrapped stuff.

A moment of Jules being a parent & cleaning up Sonic I think possibly after finding Sonic.(I'm guessing this since Sonic is catatonic/dissociating due to injuries & amnesia so he wouldn't have tried to run around)

This is based off of a scene from Digimon Tamers I watched as a kid from a scene meant to be a flashback of Jeri being cared for by her dad.

I think this was meant to be comic pages in the style of a photo album. Going off the top pics this is going in a Z or zig zag instead of manga panels like the prologue comic.

So a difference between then & now is that the past version of Jules when he was unable to care for Sonic anymore left him with Vanilla & her husband(this was before I made Cake) while current Jules left Sonic at a hidden home. I think the idea was that Sonic Underground happened only a couple years back instead of 50-40 years ago. Because Vanilla & her spouse weren't born back then & I dunno where Chuck was Jules ended up keeping Sonic alone for safety instead of getting help when Jules couldn't keep an eye on him.

Anyway these two pics are Jules leaving Sonic with Vanilla & her spouse cause he trusts them to keep him safe. Sonic just sits there on the couch.

I put this in with the post I made with all my past Lara stuff(as in "Fuck you Ken, *makes Lara-Su a Knuxouge kid*" shit), once again I don't know why I gave a child version of her teen Lara's outfit.

So at some point Eggman blinds Sonic & Sonic has been trying to get as far away as possible after escaping. I had no idea when I drew this that Angel Island was a thing thanks to most of my understanding of Sonic coming from fandom stuff & especially Sonic X which either doesn't mention Angel Island or I missed the episode/episodes that do mention it. So pretty much Sonic(after getting patched up & his eyes covered) is wandering the forest & manages to find Lara who is playing out there & decided to play guard.

For some reason I remember that Sonic has no idea who Lara is & Knuckles/Rouge never told him not Lara who each other are. I have no idea why that is & that's been fixed in the present version. Anyway Lara thinks he's a stranger that's getting too close to where the Master Emerald is. I don't remember how this goes but things are eventually sorted out & Sonic is introduced to her later on.

This is the image that needed the warning about past thoughts on Amy, I'm pretty sure she gets better eventually but I might be wrong because I only remember some things.

So Sonic doesn't want anyone to know he's blind & is trying to act like everything is fine but at the same time is acting a little distant at points. Amy is pissed he's ignoring her which has led to her raging & causing a scene, this is has led to Shadow taking notice of how odd Sonic has been lately.

While in this version Amy is mad that Sonic is ignoring her & pissed her attempts at a date are repeatedly rejected at this point(so kind of being selfish) in the current version she'd be mad because she's honestly worried. In the current version Amy would be getting mad because she's worried as a friend that someone she's close to is acting strange along with something clearly being wrong.

So Shadow(who for some reason I give a ponytail in this version) is in the background, Sonic is trying to ignore Amy(who is yelling), my old Sonicsona is pissed at Amy, I think I drew Starrk from Bleach cause he was my husbando at the time, Vector is trying to leave, the one with black hair is Tae(a past friend of mine's OC) & I have no idea who is next to her.

For some context at some point after Sonic was blinded he ended up nearly drowning in a river while it's raining at night. Shadow thanks to Amy's outburst & finally noticing something is off has been trying to keep an eye on Sonic which leads to Shadow partly stripping so he can jump into the river to save Sonic.(Dunno why he stripped since it's raining so he's already wet, I guess so it's easier to go after Sonic)

After getting back on "dry" land Sonic just breaks & cries as he clings to Shadow cause he's just had enough. He can't see, things are changing, he's scared & has just had enough of everything going on. Shadow is shocked cause he's never seen Sonic like this.

This scene hits a little worse in the present version as Sonic purposely fell into the river or was about to cause I dunno if he managed to fall in then get saved or if Shadow stopped him. What makes things worse is that Sonic is a parent when this happens & left his kid with Vanilla cause he knew his kid would be safe with her should anything happen to him. Actually I think Vanilla called Shadow to go find Sonic cause she knew something was going to happen.

Sonic's son(I'm pretty sure someone figured it out but for some reason I'm trying to be vague until a certain point in time) doesn't exist in this version but his younger half brother eventually exists in this. Sadly enough Sonic was pregnant with his son's half brother when Shadow saved him in the present version, not only that Shadow is the father. My explanation is Eggman had a weird cloning ray that went wrong so Sonic ended up with a kid twice. This all is meant to happen when he's older.

For some slightly unnecessary context my self-insert Sonicsona use to live with a bunch of other Sonic fan characters in what was this odd building on the edge of an abandoned city.(For some reason named the forgotten valley cause the city I guess in a way was valley like) The building was full of mysteries & was semi turned into a place for people to live in as well as a place for travelers to stay at with their own rooms.(And Tails Doll in the very bottom basement locked in a mini freezer)

After rescuing Sonic, Shadow took Sonic to my place(apparently it was closer than going home) to get cleaned up & have somewhere safe to rest for the night. After helping Sonic get dry/warm & everyone was settled down Sonic finally confessed to everything that happened as well as the fact he's blind.

Shadow(who I thought it was funny if his fur/quills fluffed up after getting dry, I know this is a bad time for a joke) agrees to let Sonic stay with him & help the blue hedgehog deal with the situation he was currently in. Thanks to helping Sonic recover from the state he was currently in(depressed, struggling to deal/cope with everything) as well as help Sonic learn to navigate around being unable to see the two became close. The two eventually becoming a couple & got married before eventually having kids.

Things go slightly differently in the present version but a summarized version is similar. Shadow finds Sonic, they talk things out & Shadow helps Sonic(plus his son) out. Shadow & Sonic start a relationship while helping Sonic recover. Eventually they get end up in a relationship with Mephiles & get married.

Yeah surprisingly given stuff I made in the past Mephiles isn't in the picture until my recent stuff. I think this is partly due to my Butterfly Effect AU not being a part of this at the time.(Well Silver still got family but nothing else happened)

Please be aware you can ignore everything after the 3rd paragraph(mentioning the short version) if you want. While it explains the end of my child self's(I was in middle school & then part way into high school before changes happened)

This is technically related, this is from some scrapped ideas caused by a younger me having amalgamations of crossovers going threw my head. I imagine crossovers all the time still but not an amalgamation like this.

Before I go into rambling the image is an old version of my OC Kiku, his boyfriend & Lavi(from D.Grayman) who is off camera reacting badly to cooking. The person with the chef hat in the corner is I think named Eri, she's an OC from the person that made Tae & this is a joke about her being unable to cook.

The short version of this is that Kiku was meant to be Sonic's reincarnation & his boyfriend was Shadow's reincarnation.

So for context the tiny character in the corner is the old design of my OC Kiku who is a Blindshipping fankid. In this moment he is some how a Diclonius(from Elfen Lied & no he's not a queen nor ones that are caused from infecting others & age quickly he just has the cat horns & the powers), is a backup Arcobaleno(Katekyo Hitman Reborn), an ex-test subject(inspired by the Maximum Ride manga) & for some reason Allen Walker's(D.Grayman) reincarnation which is why an arrow for Lavi is going off camera & why the guy next to Kiku is meant to look like Kanda.(Because he is) I later stopped the D.Grayman stuff but kept how Kiku's boyfriend looked cause I really liked Kanda's design.

In present day Kiku has been split into two people. The Blindshipping OC Kiku & Chrysanthemum(Nicknamed Sammy) whois suppose to be the son of Martin Mystery from the cartoon of the same name. They are technically each other from different dimensions. Sammy still has the ex-test subject thing but all the other stuff was scrapped. Also Kiku's boyfriend still looks a little like Kanda still due to having some relation to Dark Magician who has a similar hair when Kanda's hair isn't in a ponytail.

So like I mentioned in the short version(just so I could get to the point for anyone that didn't want to look at the rest of the rambling) past me had Kiku meant to be Sonic's reincarnation.

I'm not proud of this but the idea was that my version of the Sonic series ends with Eggman injuring Sonic & faking Sonic's death at a festival before patching him up & putting him in a suit that controlled Sonic. Shadow would raise their kids alone while fighting against this new "robot" until years later on the same night he lost Sonic(during the same festival) before breaking the suit, learning Sonic was alive this whole time & the two dying in a fire finally together & freed from Eggman.

After that some stuff involving Bleach were they were tested on by the captain of the 12 squad. Sonic goes on to meet a girl in the living world & go on adventures with her. Shadow who doesn't remember anything would sometimes show up to keep an eye on them or help. At some point Sonic would finally get Shadow to remember & Shadow would be horrified of his actions. They both have something on them that keeps them connected to the world so they untie/remove what keeps them tethered after saying goodbye to Sonic's friend.

After this they are reincarnated as children that were kidnapped & tested on. Shadow(Called Yu when not being called an experiment code) had two friends that nickname themselves Feather(cause her hair is feathery & looks like feathers tied up) & Sound.(A joke on the fact he refuses to talk & uses sign language) At some point they meet patient BK201(their code name that the doctors call them, also Darker Than Black ref) who all the staff were nervous about because he's too powerful & was under the control of a fucked up doctor(ironic considering these people) before he was removed.

At some point a lot of experiments escape or are killed trying, BK201 fakes Yu/Shadow's, Feather & Sound's deaths so they can be dumped outside & get to safety while the doctors caught BK201. Feather & Sound disappear, Yu/Shadow is taken in by someone, makes friends & at some point remembers his past.

Something led to Yu meeting Kiku(at the time named Chrysnathemum which ironically is what Kiku translates into) & was a bit distant with them but eventually warmed up to them. Yu liked him but was unable to get over BK201 who he believed died after being caught. At some point he found out Kiku was actually BK201, BK201 was forced to be kept on a tighter leash as they did more tests until being rescued & taken to his parents who helped him recover.(Atem & Yugi) BK201's parents also helped take down the organization that kidnapped him & other kids to be experiments.

Yu warms up even quicker thanks to learning this is his missing friend/childhood crush that saved him. At some point they start dating, work on the fact they remember being Sonic & Shadow while going on more adventures. At some point they meet Feather & Sound(who is talking now that he's in a safer place) who turn out to be Blaze & Silver's reincarnations, the two disappeared because they had apparently come from the future & ended up kidnapped while seeing the past.

At the end after many adventures & stuff Yu & Kiku move to the country side to live a peaceful life. Silver & Blaze live with them when Yu & Kiku eventually make it to the time they're from with Silver turning out to be their son. They're all immortal & can finally live their lives in peace without having to worry about Eggman or anything else they dealt with in this new life.

There was some other stuff like at one point Kku being part werewolf/vampire later changed to part mummy(Atem), at one point being part saiyan & having a cousin that was not only part saiyan but Blackfire's(from Teen Titans) daughter & at one point a Mew(I called her Mew Mint Chocolate Chip) before I scrapped it since I don't watch Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power. At one point I also had Atem a revived version of himself but the reincarnation of Tuxedo Mask(Dunno how this works) & Yugi the reincarnation of Usagi from Sailor Moon.

Oh yeah I also for some reason brought in Secret Saturdays by having Manic's boyfriend be Kur who ended up teleporting to Earth & becoming the Kur from the show after something messed him up around the time Shadow & Sonic died. Manic is reincarnated as Kiku's brother which makes sense because Sonic.

There's a lot of crossover shit but I semi forgot about it & I'm only aware there was crossover shit. I've calmed down on some of this & obviously things have changed.

There's no reincarnation stuff with my present Sonic stuff & no crazy crossover stuff. While I often imagine crossover stuff it's calmed down some compared to my past crossover amalgamation ideas.

I'm not going to tell you how Lost Prince AU ends in this but immortality & finally able to be at peace does happen.

In a recent post, I shared some thoughts I have for s6. I have some more thoughts to add. Possible s6 spoilers!

In that post, someone made a good comment that the writers may want to keep Robby with Johnny so that they have more interactions, and so it's likely that Robby won't be back living with Shannon when s6 picks up after summer has ended. This got me thinking about my other ideas for s6. (I have many ideas lol.)

One of my ideas about Shannon is that, while on her trip, she decided to move to Bainbridge Island permanently and didn't want Robby to move with her. She came back, they packed up all their things from their apartment, and she moved away while Robby moved in with Johnny. Like she had just left Robby with Johnny over the summer without discussing it with Robby first, she told Robby that she's moving away permanently and that he can continue to live with Johnny. In s1, Shannon said that he'll leave her when he turns 18 so she has to find a man before then. But, she was always the one doing the leaving those days. So, it's possible that she's finally decided to move on with her life and leave Robby behind, like she seemed to hint at with her comment. She's cleaned herself up, Johnny claims he's ready to be a dad to Robby (which Johnny really isn't), and she can make a life for herself elsewhere.

Also, in s5, Shannon's comment about her parents' place was vague enough that there was debate amongst the fandom about if her parents are still alive, and if so, why haven't they ever done more for Robby especially given Shannon's lifestyle before rehab. If her parents are alive, there's some speculation that they're rich. Another idea I have for Shannon is that her parents have always lived in Bainbridge Island and she moved to LA when she turned 18 (which is something she projects onto Robby when she says that he'll leave when he turns 18). Her parents didn't approve of her choices and didn't approve when she had Robby, and they cut her off years ago. But now that she'd cleaned herself up, she had gotten back in touch with them and they were open to her visiting them over the summer. She'd also convinced them that she'd bring Robby with her, but after Johnny suggested Robby stay with him for the summer, she just left Robby with Johnny because it was easier for her. Either way, the idea is that Robby is now stuck living with Johnny because Shannon decided to move away permanently and leave Robby behind.

Based on the group bts pic at Miyagi-Do, Robby is still in the dojo when the season starts so one of my ideas in the previous post doesn't fit. Here's another idea for how the votes go for the girls leader and boys leader.

Maybe the girls don't take a vote. With everything that has happened in the dojo war, the girls from Cobra Kai being new to Miyagi Fang, and Sam technically winning the avt, the girls in the dojo come to the conclusion that Sam is the obvious choice. She's also been the leader of Miyagi-Do for a while, and she's the one who the senseis will support the most anyway because she's Daniel's daughter.

For the boys leader, at first, they plan on taking a vote. It's going to be Miguel vs Robby, but Johnny and Daniel pull Robby aside before the vote. They start by telling Robby that they all want to make the best decisions for the dojo, and ask him that that's what he wants too. He nods yes, but he's watching them carefully. They then say that Miguel as the boys leader would be a better for the dojo. Miguel is an avt champion, is going to school, has great grades, has no record, and is going to go to college, maybe even to a university like Stanford. Meanwhile, Robby has lost two avt championships, was expelled from school, has a criminal record and has gone to juvie, and may get his GED but may not even go to college. On paper, Miguel's the better choice for leader. It would be better for PR and for gaining sponsorships for the dojo for the tournament. Robby quietly agrees.

Johnny and Daniel then announce to the kids that Robby has decided not to run and, because Sam is uncontested as well, Miguel and Sam will be the respective leaders for the boys and the girls.

The third thing in that other post was about Robby's support system. In addition to seeing Bobby take on a primary role in Robby's support system, I'd like to see Chozen and Kumiko play some roles too. Chozen is still around, helping them train for the tournament, so it's possible he can help Robby. I assume right now he's not privy to how Johnny has treated Robby his whole life. For Kumiko, well, maybe they'll go to Okinawa for a visit or she can come for a visit. It depends on the situation (which I also have different ideas for). Either way, she can keep in touch with Robby online. So, Bobby, Chozen, and Kumiko are my hopes for Robby's support system. Johnny isn't capable, and may never be. Daniel and Amanda are iffy, but they can grow if they're open to recognizing their faults. Daniel sticks to "no bad teacher, only bad student" when it comes to Robby because "maybe he has too much of [Johnny] in him", while Amanda dismisses Robby as a teenager and thinks of teens with anger problems as lost causes who need wake-up calls. Robby needs compassionate and understanding adults in his support system, which Bobby, Chozen, and Kumiko seem to be.

Fave Tsukutabe Fashions!

I got an ask earlier in the day asking for my personal fave fashions of the 4 gals, but it was asked when I was at work and couldn't provide good examples!

I'm home now, so I'm going to fix that. My answers under the cut!

First and foremost! I...am not good at talking fashion, but I do tend to scoop out characters' sense of fashion when I read/watch stuff (as well as making my own outfits for my OCs)! You won't find me going into detail as to why I like an outfit, but I will be providing examples! How many? I'm thinking 2 - One for the manga and one for the drama. Other than that, it looks like I can pull from whatever, especially within the manga category, though I pretty much picked stuff found in the manga anyway lol

Nomoto

I'm really fond of this particular loungewear. The "WARMTH" wordart gets to me in a silly way. It was neat to find a color ref from the official Twitter account recently!

Meanwhile, I have a fondness for the Valentine's Day outfit in the dramaverse. I've drawn it for two different illustrations! Nomoto was definitely dressing to impress that day~

Kasuga

...You know how hard it is to actually find unique Kasuga outfits? I love her penchant for simplicity, but it's like, okay, they all look the same except black or gray lmao

I will have to go with this one for the manga. It's REALLY adorable, from what little we do see of it (I don't think there was even a full-body pic of it) and the change in hairstyle really made a difference! I hope we get to see her in this, or other hairstyles, in the future!

Drama-wise? It's gotta be whenever she wears her jacket. As a fan of lightweight jackets, I give it two thumbs up in the Cool department~

Nagumo

It was technically an imagine spot, but I like Nagumo's camping outfit~

While Manga!Nagumo tends to go for hoodies, I really liked Drama!Nagumo's letter jacket. I love letter jackets in general. They're cool, and I think they shouldn't be confined to being just for your high school/college years :P (also the long sleeves omg)

...Yako goes all out when she attends the food parties! I love how unabashedly wine aunt-y she is when she's not lounging at home.

Yura's second apartment

So let's get into Yura's second apartment! She moved into it in late 2012 after saving up enough money for it (even a third grade sorcerer gets paid fairly well, as it turned out), and slowly went about furnishing it.

...Granted, Satoru helped, whether Yura liked it or not. After she moved in, he bought her a whole ass couch (it's very comfortable so Yura only grumbled a bit about it), and then a new TV after they tried watching a movie on her old one (see her first apartment) and he complained that it was too small. Over the years, he also kept giving her stuff, like a blu-ray player, a dishwasher (after that one Christmas), that living room rug, some plants, and just a bunch of random (but expensive) knickknacks to fill her apartment with. Thank God she has a decently-sized apartment now!

It's definitely an upgrade from her last one! I mean, technically it should be a little narrower (again, I have to stick to TS4's grid), but this is pretty much it.

So let's take a look at the living room/kitchen:

This area is pretty spacious, and Yura didn't quite know how to furnish it so some parts seem a little empty. She actually likes it that way though, after living her whole life in cramped rooms, and she's actually started owning quite a few things now that she has the space.

Her kitchen in particular has gotten quite a bit of use: thanks to Tsumiki's initiative, Yura now occasionally bakes with the younger girl there (especially for Valentine's Day). She also started experimenting with some cooking herself, but she mostly sticks to cooking basic stuff.

On that table by the window, in particular, is where she keeps her photo frames. The first one is a picture of the Tokyo team during their second Goodwill Event after they won (it was a happy moment and a certain someone who shall not be named was not present, thus no bad memories were invoked). The second one is of her and Yaga when she got her third grade certification, with Yura looking quite proud of herself over her first (and only) jujutsu promotion. Then there's one with her and Shoko singing karaoke during one of Yura's birthdays, then one with her, Satoru and the Fushiguros on their trip to Tokyo Disneyland in 2009 (they're all wearing those matching Mickey ears), and the last one is the most recent one from their trip to Osaka in 2016. Basically, all of her good memories are here.

This here is Yura's bathroom! I had initially envisioned it as a regular western-style bathroom where everything is in one room, but then I started looking at some Japanese apartments layouts and this definitely seems to be more common over there.

You can see that Yura actually has a bunch of beauty and bath products scattered around and, to be honest, that's mostly Satoru's doing (he likes to gift her expensive stuff). Yura also turned out to be not the most organized person around, so her things are just kinda thrown about now that she has enough space for it lol

The actual shower room should also be a littler narrower, and the tub should also be smaller--because that's the one Satoru keeps calling a teeny tiny bathtub! The bathtub should actually look something like this:

It's small, but big enough for some... fun times (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

And finally, Yura's bedroom!

She and Satoru have definitely spent a good amount of time in here, if you know what I mean (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Also, one of her dresser drawers is definitely all Satoru's clothes at this point.

There's only one bedside lamp because she figured buying two would be a waste (...she used to be the only one sleeping there), and her desk is usually cluttered with curse files and reports if she's working on a case. She doesn't dress up much so she doesn't usually feel the need for a full-length mirror, but if she were to ever bring it up to Satoru he would definitely buy her one right away.

She also keeps a few random photos on this wall, mostly of her and Shoko doing girl stuff, the Fushiguros, and, of course, her and Satoru. This is also where she keeps the first photo strip she and Satoru took in that photo booth, while the second strip she keeps in her top desk drawer (she likes to keep it out of sight from prying eyes... but also somewhere she can easily access it, even if she won't admit it).

...Also she has a storage room by the entrance. It's just a bunch of stuff.

So this has been Yura's second (and current) apartment! Next up should be Satoru's, and oh boy. That one is big. We might have to do it in parts lol
