I mean… first off, I fully recognize I may be wrong. I historically am pretty shit at knowing if people are showing interest. That being said… I do feel she’s being fairly obvious

I think the biggest thing is she asks me to do stuff together a fair amount. Like outside of work one on one to go get brunch or dinner and drinks like last night. And we have plenty of other coworkers we both get along with we could easily invite. And have invited, before.

And then she like just does date-y things. Orders the food and drinks after figuring out what I like (I was saving the table, she went to the counter) and then paid and wouldn’t let me split it with her bc “there will be other opportunities”. She picks me up/drives me home. Sort of casually is like “oh you’re easy for me to talk to and hang out with alone, you don’t mind silence and we like the same things and I can always tell what you’re thinking” etc.

Idk it’s just the vibes. Feels like she’s feeling it out a bit. Gearing up for it. And I already know she’s queer and actively looking to date, so. Not the BIGGEST leap I don’t think

I just really enjoy alone time, and writing kind of helps me decompress/shutoff for a while

The answers you get from Free Use AI can be so misleading. Especially if you don't fully understand what you're asking… or if you ask incorrectly. It can be truly dangerous.

I heard about a case of someone giving themself bromide poisoning because AI convinced them table salt was the reason for their high blood pressure. (Technically can contribute but misleading the way it was presented) so they cut out all sodium chloride (table salt) and replaced it with sodium bromide (used in spa salts and cleaners) bc AI told them it was a suitable replacement

I think AI and the healthy mommy gurus or whatever on instragram are leading to this issue of people “not trusting doctors” etc. and like, yeah. Doctors can be wrong. There are bad ones out there. That’s fair. Same as any other profession.

But most of us are just trying to help. And let me tell you - it’s INFURIATING to have someone come to you for help and then tell you you don’t know what you’re talking about bc Dr ChatGPT said something different. One of us studied this for a decade and has strict regulations on standards of care and treatment, the other is a robot with absolutely no morals or laws, and there’s no consequences if it lies.

I think I could only continue to write and post if I truly love doing it and am passionate about it. Pretending to write and post for just the kudos wouldn't satisfy me after about 2/3 weeks or something... this must be the case for some of them too right??

Oh and so true about people not using their brain anymore.. did you see those brain scans where they compared ai users with non ai users? Truly scary for ur future...

Idk I feel like if you’re ok posting AI work as your own, there’s got to be a certain amount of cognitive dissonance going on where you actually get some sort of positive reinforcement from people praising you, even if you know it’s not yours

I see something about EEGs and brain waves and such. Not surprising to me…. Using AI doesn’t require any thought. I’d be more curious to see an fMRI of actual brain structures and activity of chronic AI users and not. I feel like it would be pretty astounding. Same with like people who are social only online vs in real life too.

There’s also some evidence that AI really negatively impacts mental health especially in people who already have issues. It feeds delusions, has convinced some people to go off their meds, etc. it’s really really scary stuff. The algorithm totally warps people’s perceptions of reality, which I think is true of all algorithm-based social media like twitter, Facebook, Instagram. Tumblr to a certain extent

I can tell you I went out with one of my coworkers last night and I’m like…. 90% sure she’s setting up to ask me out? Like on an actual date at some point? So THAT was interesting. 🤔

I did have a really nice time actually. I normally hate being around people after work bc I’m so tired and need introvert time but as aforementioned I was hyped up and she’s actually very easy to be around so…. We shall see how that plays out… 👀

I can’t say TOO much about it bc of health privacy laws and such but

Idk I just have put like… minimum five years into med courses and all and sometimes it feels like all I do is sit at the hospital and have zero life outside of it

but then I get to do stuff that’s just CRAZY

I get to figure out what’s wrong with people that can’t really communicate and save peoples vision and get them surgeries and everything

It just felt like the first day where I was like *I* did that. And I was just really amped about it bc sometimes you’re in the hospital for 8-12 hrs and you’re like… what did I even do here today

But yesterday I was literally like 😁 I love this job
