The only time I really have an issue with uber strong or talented characters is if I feel like the writer has a habit of hyping them up int the way that's like. being like My guy can kick so much ass. They will kick your ass. They'll kick everyone's ass. consistently. I don't really mind as long as the writer isn't actually being like That about it and making a deal of it any time the topic of character abilities come up

Multiverse for OCs is fun to think about because there aren't the same variation as there are for different canon interpretations. Svern by default follows the same road as his main verse in every Pokemon verse, except for alt verse, which is an outlier. Undoubtedly there are other variants out there, but that is/those are the default.

He himself as a person doesn't change much between verses in base appearance or personality, the only things that change are what's determined by different circumstances he encounters.
