How long have you been creating art? I LOVE your style, and you inspire me to keep creating!!
Thank you very much! So sorry to ramble at you, but I like talking about myself because it's a topic I'm actually informed about:
Technically I've been creating stuff since preschool. I drew with my siblings as kids (our dad was an artist), but just dinky little characters I could cut out like toys, ha. Similarly, in school people knew I could draw, but I only made gross or weird things that made my friends laugh. (I probably have some cringe, child art somewhere, but I wouldn't know where to look.)
I think that means I properly "started" in middle school. All my friends went someplace else, so I doodled to pass the time alone. Mostly- again- just things that made me laugh, but also more actual OCs and concepts. One day a teacher saw some of my joke-ish notes in class, looked through my sketchbook, and gave me a job making posters during lunch. (I could put anything I wanted on them so long as it wasn't sex/gore/drugs. That said, I dialed back on my ugly, violent monsters, which the teachers did not like me drawing.)
Over the years I came up with a lot of story ideas, and the more ideas I had, the better I wanted to get at drawing. Despite that, I never committed to practicing until a pal of mine showed off a piece of realism, and another friend showed his own character designs. My competitive side and jealousy kicked in, so to finally and completely answer your question, I think I got more serious about art in highschool, lol.
These are some OC's from freshman/junior year:
And here's some art of them from this year and last-ish (or the year before) for comparison:
Improvement has been slow because my foundation-lacking process has always been slow, and I'll probably keep unlearning my haphazard way of drawing for years to come. But the more I learn the basics, the quicker I get, and the more fun I can have!
I'm very glad people enjoy my One Piece stuff because I myself love One Piece, but I'm VERY happy that people are inspired by me to keep creating at all!
#original art#original character#just realized i HAVE original art#don't worry about me posting it#lol#if i ever do it's going on another blog or that vacant twitter account ive been too afraid to use#ask

Howdy! First I just wanna say you're a really great artist, one of the best I've ever seen, and I love every single one of your LWA fanarts! And if you don't mind, I just wanted to ask how you learned to draw? I've always wanted to learn, but I'm not sure how to learn the fundamentals and progressively get better until I'm as great as someone like you. If you know any books, videos online, exercises/habits, or any resource to look up and learn how to draw and slowly get better, that'd be great!
Hi! Thank you very much, I’m touched by your kind words ^^
I give you Diakko but theyre motivation coaches to wish you the best ! Have fun with drawing, it's one of the best thing on Earth!
It took some time to answer because I wanted to write a document with a lot of resources, so you and other fellows can use it :
To answer the first part of the question, I always loved doodling with a pencil and replicating manga panels like Dragon Ball, Naruto... also I love scientific illustration and fashion design! Never took art classes, but went to an art club in high school^^
I have a pencil and watercolour self taught art background, drew since 9 but with a lot of art breaks (the most recent one lasted 4 years because of pharmacy studies), digital art came very late when I hit 23 (January of this year, got an iPad!🥳🎂) and I learned it with the resources stated in this shared document :D
Now for the second part, let's say every artist have their own art planet, like the Little Prince 😊
You have your art home, and realism is the house foundation to you build up other skills on it. The first skill associatied with foundation is observation : when you look at something...how does it work? Why is this moving like that? What are the simplified shapes of it?
Near you home, you can plant your favourite artists seeds from other art planets in your own art garden to be inspired by them. They'll bloom into different flowers, scents and colors... they'll inspire your work as you progress :D it's like pretty things to admire and look up to! To keep you on the go and learn from them! (It works with the library metaphor too, like having a collection of your fav artists, subjects, reference...)
Then you build up solid walls for your house, by learning/practicing technical things like figure drawing, life drawing, drapery... with these, you can already have a lot of fun!
Adding windows will bring you some fresh air as you'll explore colour theory, light and shadow... at this stage, traditionally or digitally, you'll be able to create really cool sketches/llustrations! You can always use references and observe them to understand the light source, a particular scenery, or some tricky anatomy position, etc...so you can incorporate it in your drawing.
Then you can make your house bigger by adding new rooms: learning how to draw specific things like detailed backrounds, animals, weapons, machinery, everything you'll be interested in...if you started with humans only for example.
Later on, you can decor your house with things like art style, aesthetics, that little somtheing that makes people recognize your works...these come naturally as you progress so dont worry too much about it!
Building a comfy house takes time but it's your home and even if there will be struggles/frustration... enjoying the process is key to a happy artist journey ^^
Hope this helped, and you can always dm for more specific things, if needed (or ask anonymously again, I’m shy so I’ll understand lol)

Idk if u know abt this but the “ai-ai gasa”. Cuz(アイアイ傘) or the “love-love umbrella” which basically means two people under an umbrella in the rain is considered as a symbol of romance in Japan!
So before the leaks comes out, i wrote a lil mini fic inspired by this! Featuring toddler!bkdk
The weather man was wrong again, despite being in a futuristic setting
School had just ended, all the kids were already on their way home while the little green-haired toddler looked at pouring sky with a sad face. He was supposed to run his first errand today. With rain this heavy, his mother will surely not allow him, especially since his quirked hasn’t evolved yet. He didn’t pack an umbrella, he even forgot to pack his all might raincoat! He was deeply upset. All the kids had already gone home, he was the only one left. Or so he thought.
“Hey! Izuku! What are you doing sitting on the ground?! That’s dirty you know!” Izuku looked up to see none other than his best friend, Bakugou Katsuki.
“Kacchan..? What are you still doing here?”
“Duh?! Waiting for you! I knew you would forget to pack an umbrella so I brought an extra bigger just for us!”
Izuku blushed a little at his statement. “Really?! Is that okay?”
“Of course it is! Why wouldn’t it be? Now come on! Your gonna get more germs on you.” The ecstatic blonde lend a hand out to his crouching friend. Izuku stared at the hand being held out at him ‘this is too good to be true!’ He reached out for his friend’s hand -
“-zuku?”
“IZUKU?!”
The boy jolted from his bed. His heart racing, daring to jump out of his chest. His mother came to his room with a slight frantic look on her face.
“Izuku, sweetie I’ve been calling out for your name for the past 10 minutes already? Are you alright?” The toddler looked at his hands at gis hands again, making weird motions with them, a disappointed yet sad looked was etched across his face ‘just a dream’
“Izuku? What’s wrong?” Her mother asked once more, sounding more concerned with each passing second.
“N-nothing mom. Just a weird dream.” Her son responded with nervous laughter. “Am I still gonna run my errands today?” Her mother gave her another sad look, but this time with a small smile on her face.
“Oh I’m sorry sweetie, but our local market is closed today, we’re gonna have to postpone that to tomorrow.” Izuku sighed loudly. ‘What a day this has been’
“W-why not drop by the park today? I heard Katsuki and his friends are there right now? Why won’t you go play with them?” The young boy’s mood immediately switched. He liked that idea! He decided, he was gonna hang out with kacchan today!
“Really I can?”
“Yes. Just be careful!”
“I will!” Izuku left shortly after.
—————————————————————
He tried playing with other kids. He tried making more friends, but he thought he was just unlikable. None of the other kids would play with him, and the other kids who were very rough on each other, and he was always getting hurt the most. So he decided to take a little break at the sand box.
For the past 5 minutes Midoriya Izuku has been doodling anything that catches his eye. A butterfly, an oddly shaped tree, a chibi all might (he didn’t actually see anything all might, he just loves him), a bird, anything. Eventually two people caught his attention. Two men were just passing by the park, their arms intertwined, the shorter of the two leaning on the other. While Izuku was definitely no stranger to couples, he did find it odd that they were under an umbrella. Despite it being sunny. It wasn’t even two bright. He then recalled something his teachers actually introduced to his class not too long ago. The “Ai-ai gasa” or the “love-love umbrella” two people sharing the same umbrella (especially during a rain) is a symbol of love here in Japan. He thought it was cute. His mind then drifted to the dream he had had earlier, when his explosive offered to share his umbrella with him. He blushed at the memory, tried to set it aside ‘That would never happen’
The young boy was so lost in his thoughts, he didn’t even noticed the little drawing he made at the sand until a certain someone pointed it out.
“Izuku? What are you doing here?! I thought we were gonna play?” The freckled-cheek child looked up to his blonde friend, getting a serious deja-vu feeling growing inside him.
“O-oh! Hey Kacchan! I was just doodling, nothin’ much.”
“Really?! Boring. What did you draw?”
“Uhh....” Izuku looked back down to his doodles finally realizing what exactly he did drew. Suffice to say he was shocked.
It was a doodle of an umbrella with him and his’ friends’ name on either of the side of it’s stick. The boy tried to cover it up, erase it even. But his other friend beated him to it and shoved him aside. At this point Izuku’s subconscious has left his body.
Bakugou continued to stare at his friend’s little doodle. Izuku couldn’t actually tell what he was thinking, but he knows he’s disgusted. He was gonna crawl in a hole and die. Screw being a hero he wanted pizza.
“This is wrong.” Kacchan said in a monotone voice. Izuku was prepared to taste hell. He knew he had it coming. This is it. The end of their friendship.
“There you go!” Bakugou yelled with exitement and relief in his voice. Izuku looked at what his best friend has done to his drawings. He crawled over and saw that Kacchan had fixed some of deku’s errors on his name, and fixed his name to its proper kanji.
“If you’re gonna do it, at least commit to it next time Izuku, don’t half-ass it.” Izuku didn’t even cared that he swore, he was too busy staring at his friend, at his light. ‘Kacchan really is something’
“Come on, let’s play!” Kacchan reached his hand out to Izuku for him grab on. Izuku looked at the hand once more, hesitating again ‘this is real now right?’ He took his friend’s hand and immediately he was pulled up and the next thing you know they were both running towards the swing. Izuku smiled at Kacchan, feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
‘It’s real’
(Sorry if it sucked, haven’t written in a while, also this technically my first bkdk fic lol, its a mini fic)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA OH MY GOD NO THIS WAS SO GOOD AND CUTE AND I LOVED IT!!!!!!

2020 Art Summary
Yep, it’s 2021 already. 2020 is finally over. It felt like it lasted forever, and it felt like the end would never come, but here we are. Crazy how the time flew by.
I felt like I didn’t get much art done this year because of Current World Event, but I made a lot more than I thought I did. Even some of my new favorite pieces came out of this year, so I think that’s worth celebrating and looking back upon!
I was insanely productive during the first month of 2020, and looking back I was surprised at all the stuff I did, but then I remembered that that winter season was actually one of the best times of my life! I started being more socially involved, and I think my newfound drive at the time translated into all the art I pumped out this month. This is just a small fraction of what I made in January, but I only have so much space. Quite a few complex pieces in both style exploration and polishing my own style.
Apparently February was a rather intimate month. Things began to slow down in terms of my own art here, with me spending more time in social settings and school work ramping up, I didn’t have as much time to coop up in my room to draw. I did wanna do something for a friend’s Valentine’s Day OC art challenge, so I drew my lovey-dovey couple from Dance of 1000 Words havin’ a dance. Nothing actually came of that challenge, but it was fun to do regardless.
One of the things I was most proud of in the winter season was making more friends, and one of the closest friends I made was completely coincidental. I met a person named Kiri on the bus one night I decided to volunteer somewhere by myself, and we ended up chatting and getting along. They quickly told me their tumblr username, and I shot them a message immediately after they left. A couple days later, we met up for brunch, and we started becoming really close friends and creative partners!
Not much else happened in March cuz that’s when Current World Event started becoming an issue, but Kiri and I still kept in close touch and we randomly started developing a concept for a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Galar Edition. These are a handful of characters we thought up, with Skipper the Scorbunny and Dross the Dreepy as the main characters, Morgrem as the main antagonist, and some shopkeepers such as those of the Greedent Bank and the Indeedee General Store. This was also my first time drawing all of these Galar Pokemon (except Scorbunny, but I also made Skipper a bit more unique than a regular Scorbunny).
Lots of events happened this month. First of all, Steven Universe Future ended, one of my favorite and most influential shows was no longer continuing. I had to do something as tribute, both as a send-off to one of the greatest cartoons in the world and as a cathartic release for my feelings towards it.
A while later, I got the opportunity to start playing an MMO in beta called Fer.al, by the same people who made Animal Jam, which coincidentally I had also beta tested for back in the day. I ended up getting really attached to my first character, a Senri I named Sasha, and though I’ve made more characters than them since, they’re still my absolute favorite. Though I haven’t touched the game in a few months, I was really engrossed for a long time and enjoyed playing through the beta and early access phases.
At the end of the month, some friends of mine invited to a roleplay group with some mutuals, and we all played characters in a crime syndicate. Just a bunch of ragtag thieves and criminals who ended up together in order to protect an artifact called the Crown of Thieves, which was essentially a flag to be taken by other groups to prove that they are the best thieves in the land. My character was based heavily on my sona (if it wasn’t obvious) and was also influenced by Cloud Strife, since the FFVII Remake had just come out and I was super into watching the cutscenes at the time. My character’s (code)name is Valkyrie, and they are a mercenary, going between multiple different employers to carry out whatever duties they need to do. They have a more complicated backstory, but presently they were recently hired by recommendation of their friend Shark (played by @shmoots-universe who is also My friend now ily maya) who works with a group called the Court Cards who are currently in possession of the Crown of Thieves. Valk never really had a place to call home, but staying with this group of people had to be the closest they could get to that feeling. They still sleep with a knife under their pillow because of trust issue but that’s okay.
Okay, so technically these examples started in April, but I continued making content with them in May, and the month was just pretty void of art in general, so here I am addressing them.
There were two main things I worked on this month: a Steven Universe AU of my own and the whole #sixfanarts thing that kicked off around then. Let’s start with the fanart bits. I did two and a half of them (six in April and nine in May), and it was so much fun to be able to draw stuff I don’t normally do! My personal favorites are shown here: Blake Belladonna from RWBY, Roll from Megaman, Yuki Konno from Sword Art Online, and Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The other thing I’d been planning for a while was a Steven Universe AU, probably to cope with the show being over but also because I was inspired by a lot of those SU AU artists I started following at the time. I won’t share the details here because it’s gonna have its own blog at some point, but the example I’ve shown here is of a comic I made loosely in order to introduce a divergence in the plot of the story as well as introduce a character unique to my AU. It was a lot of fun figuring out how to draw the characters and get a feel for the style.
As the year progressed, my amount of art I made per month began to dwindle, this time mostly because school was kicking my ass especially hard with finals. However, I took what time I had to get some backburner pieces finished, like the Tigerlily picture which I sketched out a couple months back, and the Gunvolt picture which I started working on SIX YEARS AGO. I don’t quite know why I got the urge to work on it again after so long, but it was nice to finally realize. The other drawing for DOTS was done in the dead of night but I was really happy with how it came out.
Despite only having two summer classes left of school, this month was really rough because they demanded a lot of my time and attention. I did not have the gumption to do anything digital, so I stuck to my sketchbook to get out what I felt like getting out.
My friends and I did a stream of the game Helltaker, and I really enjoyed the concept, so in following my friends I made my own Helltaker demon OC named Raksha the Ravenous Demon (it’s a pun but also got mythical insp). I also got super into Hazbin Hotel at this point, mostly because the Addict music video dropped and I couldn’t get enough of it, so I doodled Angel Dust cuz I felt like it. The other drawing I did was actually a free commission I gave a friend of mine as a prize for a trivia game show I ran back in June. He along with a couple other friends got some free drawings from me for getting the top three scores, and this one in particular was fun because of how interesting it was. He wanted me to draw a video game reviewer called the Irate Gamer from a specific moment, and I decided to go ham and just make it as dramatic as possible.
University classes finally wrapped up and right after that I was in the process of moving out of my apartment and getting adjusted to living with my parents again. I did a couple of agg.io drawing sessions with my friends from the Court Cards group as well as a new Dungeons and Dragons homebrew group I had joined. I drew some more of Valkyrie and came up with a design for my DND character Qakuqtuq (or Kai for short). He is monkey grandpa and I love him.
My main focus was on finishing a polished piece for my friend Cake, whose birthday was in the upcoming month. I wanted it to be as amazing as possible, so I put a lot of time into getting more detailed and making them look good. In addition to that, I did a few TOME doodles just for fun. The creature on the bottom was for this month’s art challenge on my Discord server where we made original TOMERPG monsters, and I created Hundylow, a Crystal-element monster based on the Grindylow from English folklore.
This month was a lot more productive than the past few had been. I tried to do a 31-day art challenge called Creatober but failed to get past the third prompt because I was still swamped with other work. I’m still happy with what little I did, including the piece with my characters Kyle and Guarudan from DSWD.
I don’t remember how, but I also suddenly rediscovered an old Flipnote Hatena series called Tales of LostClan, a Warriors fan series that I would say was the most obscure thing I’ve ever been super invested in. It was what got me into the actual Warriors books, and I liked it so much I redrew the animations into a comic... twice. Didn’t get nearly as far the second time but clearly my love for this little fanfiction had not waned after nearly a decade. I felt like drawing a book cover/movie poster for the series, just to get it out there and see how much I’ve improved over all that time.
Also I felt like making a vampiresona just before Halloween because I never dress up for Halloween in art (or real life anymore, for that matter), and I wanted to do something like that for once. It was short-lived but I really liked the design!
The focus of this month was definitely on Pokemon stuff. As per usual I contributed to the current Gotta Draw ‘Em All collab, and I was tasked to draw Regieleki. It was really fun to figure out how to make it stand out and look like it was made of electricity.
I also committed a lot of my spare time to my Fakemon Gym Leaders, as I had been working on bringing them to life in the past year or so now. As of this post, I’ve finished rendering their full body poses and gym badges, but I’m still working on completing all eight VS portraits, the first half of which are shown here.
I... didn’t draw anything this month, actually. What I’m showing here was worked on in the last few days but has actually been in progress for a couple of months, and I just finished it earlier today, in 2021. But I needed to show something off, and it’s also about time I mentioned it.
Back in October, I kept seeing people rave about this game called Genshin Impact, and I was interested but not so much as to start playing it... until my friends started playing and I was like “fuck it, let’s download it”. Since that day, I have been super immersed and in love with this game, to the point I came up with my own canon based on my gameplay experiences. This also included the creation of an original player character: Astra, the non-binary Traveller. And now, I’ve finally drawn them and brought them to life.
It has been one hell of a year. I had some of the highest highs and lowest lows in 2020, lots of changes, and I have now officially moved onto the next chapter of my life now that my time at university is finally over. I’m very excited for what 2021 has to offer, and I’m going to go forward with great ambition.
#my art stuff#art summary#this is always a joy to do every year and i'm glad to keep up the tradition for the sixth year in a row#this year was super good for this as well just to look back on what i was actually able to accomplish#long post#tome#hazbin hotel

Weird Asks that Say a Lot Meme...
My friend the wonderful @meanwhileonwednesday suggested I fill out Every even number for the 'weird asks that say a lot', so here I am. Thanks, friend! XD
2. chocolate bars or lollipops?
Chocolates.
4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you?
At my first school? Artistically talented and perceptive (one teacher was very vividly impressed by my grasp of duck anatomy at like 5 years old). Then there’s the teacher at my new school who thought I had special needs because I was withdrawn (I was being bullied by most of the class, really); she was a new teacher and not really equipped to deal with that. By the end of primary school, I went back to being commended on my work ethic and smarts and artistic ability.
6. pastel, boho, tomboy, preppy, goth, grunge, formal or sportswear?
Hmmm I think my work clothes are mostly a formal/preppy mix. With a little bit of boho thrown in, particularly when I’m at home.
8. movies or tv shows?
I prefer movies, because they represent a lot less commitment (America, please stop giving everything like 17 seasons, I beg of you!), however TV show episodes are shorter and easier to slot into your life than a full movie.
10. game you were best at in p.e.?
I was generally awful in PE. I liked benchball, can’t say that I was good in it, being yet another game where being short doesn’t do you any favours.
12. name of your favorite playlist?
Either my Kickass playlist, or my Reflective playlist.
14. favorite non-chocolate candy?
Starburst.
16. most comfortable position to sit in?
Curled up, on my side, in a nice big armchair with my legs hanging off the side. Surrounded by pillows, and probably a cat or two.
18. ideal weather?
Picture this: it’s a sunny day; warm but not too hot. Maybe around 24 degrees celsius. There’s a warm breeze; it’s not stifling, and it’s not cold enough to make you shiver. The trees rustle with the sound of the wind; change is in the air. You can go out in short sleeves, perhaps with the thinnest of cardigans if like me your metabolism basically died 300 years ago.
20. preferred place to write (i.e., in a note book, on your laptop, sketchpad, post-it notes, etc.)?
Depends on what I’m writing. I am the kind of ineffectual person who starts to write tings in a notebook, but also a couple of word docs. I have post- it notes for important things. I document ideas for my comic in a note/sketch book. I love doodling in my sketchbooks.
22. role model?
I never really had one, growing up. I guess the closest I’d get is David Attenborough.
24. favorite crystal?
My birthstone is ruby (which is red; my favourite colour!) however I also love opals; I love their irdescent (OK, opalescent, technically) sparkliness and the way they shimmer with lots of colours. I don’t see why everyone prefers massive diamonds when opals are like... so much cooler. I I don’t actually own any, but maybe one day I’ll be able to buy myself a nice one.
26. favorite activity to do in warm weather?
Go for a nice long walk, take lots of pictures, have a picnic in the park. No, I lie, my favourite activity is roping someone I care about into doing it all with me, and having even more fun.
28. five songs to describe you?
Home - Ellie Goulding Fight Song - Rachel Platten Working Woman’s Blues - Valerie June Alive - Bird Set Free My Medea - Vienna Teng
30. places that you find sacred?
Already been answered.
32. top five favorite vines?
Alas, hard to name off the top of my head. I mainly know vines from various compilations.
34. advertisements you have stuck in your head?
Right now? Thankfully none of them.
36. what is the first meme you remember ever seeing?
That’s impossible to say! Memes were a thing before internet memes became a thing. I’d say that ‘S’ shape we all drew in primary school? Nursery rhymes? Who knows.
38. lemonade or tea?
They don’t usually compete for my love, but i have tea more often than lemonade, purely due to availability reasons.
40. weirdest thing to ever happen at your school?
Some students climbed onto the roof.
42. jacket pockets or pants pockets?
Honestly? Skirt pockets. But being a woman, jacket pockets are usually woefully ineffectual and small. Trouser pockets are a bit better, but again usually small. Whereas if someone puts pockets on a skirt, they make sure they are actually proper pockets!
44. favorite scent for soap?
Maybe honey, or roses, or jasmine.
46. most comfortable outfit to sleep in?
A baggy pair of PJs; I’m a dress for comfort kind of girl. Particularly since the places I’ve lived haven’t always been great in the heating department. I’ve been known to sleep in a hoodie when it gets cold.
48. if you were a fruit, what kind would you be?
I would like to be a berry, or maybe an apple. Something pinkish red. Sweet, and a little sharp.
50. what made you laugh the hardest you ever have?
Probably my little brother astounding me with how grown-up he is about things. He’s pretty awesome. Or my mum just saying something wildly, hilariously inappropriate XD
52. favorite font?
I love the Komika font family for my comic. I used to use Bookman Old Style, Book Antiqa, Georgia or classic Arial for essays and things like that, when they didn’t specify Times New Roman.
54. what did you learn from your first job?
Always call the med reg if you are stuck, be nice to the nurses and always help each other. OK, I did lots of volunteering in hospital before FY1. In which case my
56. favorite tradition?
My family/culture have a specific tradition on the morning of an exam/interview/life event where you fill a cup with water and a couple of plant leaves (Slavs love putting greenery into everything). You place it at the threshold, and give it a good kick it with your dominant foot. It symbolises your knowledge flowing, and I guess it’s a good luck charm.. You also aren’t meant to look back (literally); because you should be focusing on the task at hand. As a kid it was a comforting good luck ritual, and I don’t think I ever really grew out of it.
58. four talents you’re proud of having?
I’m proud of my artistic skills, modest though they are. I enjoy creating, and I enjoy that I can make things to cheer up my friends, or things that people here can relate to.
By extension, I’m good with my hands, and that usually translates to picking up procedures and things like that pretty quickly at work. And yes, I love being able to get that cannula in (especially if it’s on the first go!) when nobody else can. It’s a tiny, tiny thing, but it sparks a little joy. I can develop good rapports with people; which means I can help them to confide their problems, and can help them to feel better or to address things that are bothering them. It’s really mostly about listening and not being judgemental. I am proud that I can sometimes make people feel better, and feel listened to. I’m proud that I learned to try to work through my feelings. As a young person who was really quite stressed, I somehow learned how to apply what’s basically CBT to keep myself relatively sane, and I think it’s helped me a lot. It was only much later that I realised it was basically CBT when I was comparing notes with friends actually going through those kinds of therapies. I’m not perfect at it, and my mind tests me on a regular basis, but it helps.
60. if you were a character in an anime, what kind of anime would you want it to be?
I don’t know what I’d like to be in? Maybe a Ghibli film. I think I’d like that. When I was at school, a close friend of mine just turned around and said “OMG, you’re just like an anime character”, to fervent agreement from my peers. I guess they meant one of those chirpy, ditzy shojo anime characters. I can still see myself as some shojo series heroine; frantically trying to keep it together under the pressures of magical girldom, being romantically inept, trying to fight off the baddie of the week whilst learning lessons about getting along with each other, being helpful and not being mean.
62. seven characters you relate to?
Right now? Sophie from Howl’s moving castle, Princess Carolyn from Bojack Horseman, Miranda Otto from D. Gray-Man, Elinor Dashwood from Sense and Sensibility, The Red Blood Cell from Cells at Work, Kiki from Kiki’s delivery service, and Aggressive Retsuko.
64. favorite website from your childhood?
I used to love looking at other people’s art on Elfwood or Deviantart.
66. favorite flower(s)?
Today I’m feeling the answer is lilacs.
68. worst flavor of any food or drink you’ve ever tried?
Ugh anything bitter.
70. left or right handed?
I’m ridiculously right handed, but I’ve learned to use my left hand more effectively because of procedures etc. I’m really good with my hands, but my right hand takes over like 80% of the work.
72. worst subject?
PE in school, biochemistry at university.
74. at what pain level out of ten (1 through 10) do you have to be at before you take an advil or ibuprofen?
At home, maybe a 3, because I don’t see the point in suffering needlessly. However at work I’ll do whatever it takes to keep functional including taking pain relief before it gets bad because I don’t want to have to deal with pain and an on-call. I’m not sure if the scale is logarithmic? I’d rate the worst pain that I’ve had 5 ot a 6, and that made me vomit and curl up into a ball and basically unable to do anything. But I can imagine pain that’s much, much worse than that was, so perhaps I just can’t thin
76. what’s your favorite potato food (i.e. tater tots, baked potatoes, fries, chips, etc.)?
This kind of new potato salad my mum makes with onions. Raw onions are totally a trigger food for my IBS, and any time my mum feeds me anything full of onions, she’ll tell me I can take them out if they upset my tummy. And every single time I’ll pile even more onions into my plate because there’s no way I’m letting my gut dictate my life. Turns out, I’m even more stubborn than my IBS; I just don’t want to give up some of the foods that set things off. My GP once recommended a FODMAP diet, and having had a look at all the stuff I’d have to cut, I resolved I’d only start cutting things if my symptoms got really bad.
78. coffee from a gas station or sushi from a grocery store?
Honestly, I have no pretentions to snobbery. The best coffee is the one you get when you are about to collapse on a night shift, even if much, much better coffee exists in the world. And the best sushi is the plain supermarket one you get between on-calls to treat yourself, even if the one from a good restaurat is so much nicer.
80. earth tones or jewel tones?
I wear a lot of jewel tones, but I also wear a lot of earth tones, and I don’t really see them as being in competition. Rock all the colours!
82. pc or console?
Phone. XD I don’t play much on either, mainly due to time. Phone has the benefit of being in my pocket when I’m at a loose end on the bus, or at my parents’. I don’t sit down and make time to play, I play games in the stolen minutes here and there when I don’t have much to do.
84. podcasts or talk radio?
Classical music radio in the office (because it’s the most neutral), retro stations in the car (or whatever your guests would like), and podcasts at home when you are by yourself.
84. barbie or polly pocket?
I didn’t have a real Barbie (fairly sure ours were knockoff dolls) but I do have fond memories of making outfits for our toys. Though our favourites were always various little animal models who got into all sorts of adventures.
86. cookies or cupcakes?
Cookies, but it’s a close call. Really, I’d have to say biscuits, since I eat those more often than either of the above.
88. your greatest wish?
For myself? To be happy. For others? Ditto.
90. luckiest mistake?
Getting into my first degree. Feels like I fell into it, but it set me off on a great path, and I don’t regret that my initial path was far from straightforward.
92. lamps, overhead lights, sunlight or fairy lights?
All of the above.
94. favorite season?
That kind of Spring-Summer interface when all the plants are in bloom, and the weather is warm but not too hot, and the days are long.
96. desktop background?
Arietty’s bedroom from the Ghibli Borrowers film adaptation. I’m a sucker for ghibli aesthetic; usually because my rooms end up similarly haphazardly adorned with cool things.
98. favorite historical era?
Every era has its own awesomeness. I feel very fondly for the regency period because of all the books I’ve read set in it, likewise the Victorian period. Though both aren’t without their problems. I realised that I style my hair like a Victorian; centrally parted with a neat, low bun at the nape of the neck. XD
I think that might be all the questions! Phew!

Summary: Christine doesn’t like you being single ;;))
“Hey Y/N!” you heard someone call your name. Curious, you turned around, only to see your friend Christine running towards you, a playful scowl on her face.
“Hey, Christine!” you greeted back, holding back a chuckle as the short girl stopped in front of you, her face red from the unwanted exercise. “Wow, uhh, you’d think with all the musicals you’ve done, you’d have a bit more endurance,” you snickered.
“Just because I enjoy acting and dancing doesn’t mean I dont HATE running,” Christine whined. You shook your head, rolling your eyes at the short Asian girl.
“Alright, Christine, what do you want?” you asked, turning your back to her to open your locker. As you spun in the combination, she started talking.
“Okay, so, you know that one guy?” Christine gulped. You laughed.
“There’s a lot in our high school y’know,” you replied, opening your locker and grabbing some pencils.
“You know who I mean!” She whined, crossing her arms as you faced her again with a smirk on your face. You did, in fact, know who she was talking about.
Jeremy Heere, a Junior at their high school. Recently, he’d been “Squipped” and had just been out of the hospital. And Christine had a huge crush on him. She’d thought he was kinda cute before, when she liked Jake and had talked to Jeremy a few times during play rehearsal.
“Yes, Christine, I know who you mean. What about him?” you asked curiously, wondering if she’d finally decided to confess.
“U - Uhm, I, uh…” Christine stuttered, trying to find words. You were the only one who knew about her crush, but even so, she was nervous.
“Come on Chris, spit it out!” you exclaimed excitedly.
“I’m gonna ask him out!” she spat, shoving her face into her hands. You laughed at the girl, who’s face was bright red.
“Uh, finally!” you scoffed playfully.
“B - But what if he says no?”
“That boy was head over heels for you since before I can remember,” you sighed, slinging your arm around Christine’s shoulders. Christine sighed, standing up straight.
“Okay, I’ll do it!” she confirmed, placing her hands on her hips and posing like a super heroine.
“You go girl!” You laughed, pulling away from your friend and lifting your backpack higher up onto your shoulders. Christine giggled as Jeremy walked up to the two of you, his face red.
“Will you go out with me?” Jeremy and Christine blurted out at the exact same time. You blinked with wide eyes at the two, surprised that Jeremy had asked her too. Behind Jeremy, you saw Michael Mell, the boy who had the exact same schedule as you. He had his white headphones over his ears and was wearing his signature red hoodie. He was looking off into space and sipping off of his red slush.
“Y/N! Look!” Christine yelled, making you jump. You’d honestly kind of forgotten about Christine and Jeremy while thinking about how you never remembered seeing him without Jeremy. You smiled widely as you saw Jeremy’s hand intertwined with Christine’s, and Jeremy’s face was bright red.
“Finally,” you sighed, crossing your arms and leaning against the lockers. “I was getting tired of waiting,” Jermey looked at you, an eyebrow raised, but said nothing. Christine glanced at Michael, who’s eyes had somehow shifted to you. His headphones were on, and he didn’t take his lips off his straw.
“Uh, Y/N, who do you like? You never told me,” Christine asked, cocking an eyebrow. You sighed, shaking your head.
“Technically I did,” you answered as the bell rang. You looked up and the ceiling and stuck your tongue out at it before looking back to Christine, who kept glancing at Michael. You didn’t notice the constant movement of her eyes or Michael’s incoherent staring. “I don’t have one - never did,” and with that, Christine groaned and walked off to her first class with Jeremy, hand in hand.
“Michael!” Jeremy called before long, snapping Michael out of his trance. Michael shook his head for a moment, looking down as he slid his headphones around his neck. You cocked your head slightly to one side and blinked at him.
“Uhm, are you okay?” you asked as Michael finally looked up at you. He smiled widely, surprising you.
“Oh yeah! Sorry, I get super lost in the music sometimes,” he explained.
“That’s cool,” you replied. You listened closely to the soft, quiet music that leaked from the speakers of his headphones. “Bob Marley?” you asked, looking at Michael with a raised eyebrow. His smile grew wider, his eyes twinkling.
“Hell yeah! You like Marley?” he asked excitedly, bouncing slightly from excitement. You shrugged.
“Not a huge fan, but I listen to a few of his songs,” the two of you began walking to your first class together, making it through the door merely seconds before the late bell rung. It’s not like it mattered, though, because the teacher ended up being twenty minutes late.
“Where the hell is the teacher?” Michael mumbled, sitting down. You sat behind him in your normal seat, doodling in your notebook.
“I don’t know, but I’m not complaining,” you replied, not looking up at Michael. By now, he’d turned around in his seat, sitting backwards. He stared at you playfully, waiting for you to notice. “Yes, Michael?” you asked once you finally noticed.
“You’re name’s Y/N, right? Why haven’t we talked before?” he wondered out loud, resting his chin on his hands. You shrugged, still staring down at your pencil as you drew.
“I don’t know, I guess we never really had a reason to before today,” you answered. “How long have you known Jeremy?”
“Twelve years,”
“Wow, that’s a long time,” you nodded.
“Yeah, except our friendship was kinda put on hold during the whole Squip incident that I’m SURE you’ve heard of,” Michael yawned.
“Where is that teacher?” you sighed, looking around the room.
“As long as I get to keep talking to you, I’m not complaining,” Michael winked, sticking his tongue out at you. This you noticed. You looked up at him, a small smile on your face. You playfully wriggled your eyebrows, winking once as well. The two of you went on through this war for the rest of class, seeing who could out - eyebrow the other, even after the teacher showed up.
“Michael Mell, please turn around,” the teacher shouted, causing Michael to jump. Neither he nor you noticed the teacher walk in, or begin talking, for that matter. For the rest of class, you and Michael passed noted, immediately knowing that the two of you were already practically best friends. Once the bell rang, you let out a sigh of relief and headed out into the hall, Michel trailing behind.
“Again, why haven’t we talked before? You’re gnarly!” Michael exclaimed, smiling at you.You snickered.
“Gnarly? What is this, the 90s?” Michael blushed.
“I like to have a wide vocabulary,” he mumbled. The two of you continued talking and cracking jokes as you walked down the hall. At one point, your hand brushed against his, and you jolted your hand away. Michael didn’t seem to notice.
“Hey, Michael, Y/N,” Christine and Jeremy greeted as they passed in the hallway. You said hi back, and continued on to class, sitting again behind Michael. Just like the hour before, you two passed notes and giggled the entire class, your sides nearly splitting. This went on through every class until lunch.
When lunch finally came, you suddenly realized how hungry you were.
“Ugh, I’m so hungry,” you whined, bumping into Michael. He whined as well, bumping you back.
“Ugh, me too,” he answered. It was strange, really, how fast you’ve grown to love Michael. Not in the “date me already” way, but you loved him in the best way. It was as if you’ve known each other forever.
“Hey, you guys in love already?” Christine asked once Michael had finally left to go to the bathroom and you sat down. Christine stared at you, as you choked on your drink.
“No! Christine, I’ve never had a crush, a boyfriend, a first kiss -”
“You’ve never had your FIRST KISS?!” Christine shrieked loud enough for the whole school to hear. Almost immediately, you were surrounded by almost everyone in the lunchroom. You shoved your face into your hands, and you could feel yourself becoming hot as you were swarmed with questions.
“Uh, excuse me,” you heard Jeremy mutter as he pushed through the crowd to sit next to Christine. Michael followed behind him, but couldn’t make it all the way so he had to turn and sit next to you.
“Hey, Michael,” you greeted hoarsely, not taking your hands off your face. Michael raised an eyebrow.
“Never had your first kiss?” he asked, listening to everyone’s bantering and questions that you had no intention of answering. You nodded slowly, mumbling something under your breath. “Hey, back off!” you heard Michael bark. When you looked up, you could see him shooing the crowd away. But this did nothing, only drawing more curiosity.
“Ooh, what about you Michael?” they began asking, swarming him as well. His own face grew dark, and he sat down next to you and mimicked your embarrassed state.
“You guys should kiss!” someone else shouted, and the rest of the cafeteria roared in agreement. You looked up at Michael with one eye, who was looking back at you.
“Sorry,” he whispered before grabbing the back of your head and pulling you close. You’re face grew bright red and you squeezed your eyes shut, waiting for the impact of his lips on yours. But it never came. The crowd roared, and as they did, you could feel Michael’s breath on your face. You opened your eye just a tiny bit, and saw that Michael was pretending to kiss you. Once he pulled away, the crowd cheered and finally dispersed.
“Smart thinking,” you whispered, blinking wide eyed. Jeremy and Christine furrowed their eyebrows.
“So… you guys fell in love in one day, or…?” Jeremy asked, looking in between the two of you. Both of your faces were a dark crimson, and Michael was holding back a laugh.
“N - No,” you stuttered, staring down at your lunch. You glanced at Michael, who was staring at you.
“We faked it,” Michael muttered, holding back a laugh. You started cackling evilly, Christine and Jeremy confused. Michael gave up and the two of you laughed victoriously.
“You guys are really close all of a sudden, though,” Christine sighed, leaning slightly on Jeremy’s shoulder. Jeremy smiled a little, a light pink dusting his cheeks.
“We’re totally, like, besties now,” Michael said in a “white girl” voice.
“Yas, Queen,” you replied as Michael slung his arm around you and you leaned into it. You’d no idea why, but your heart was beating so fast. This is probably just the embarrassment of your “first kiss,” or at least, that’s what you were trying to convince yourself. And you succeeded. But something didn’t seem right. Right then, the bell rung and Michael, seeming hesitant, pulled his arm away and stood up, you following quickly.
“See you two lovebirds later,” Christine cooed, blowing you a kiss. You stuck your tongue out at her and began walking to your next class with Michael, bumping into each other over and over again. Once in class, you did what you always did. Passed notes and laughed painfully hard.
“So,” you began, crunching through the ice of your slush. Michael looked up at you, raising an eyebrow.
“Enjoying our date?” he asked, playfully smirking at you. You smiled back before taking a sip of your slush. You were both alone, sitting in Michael’s PT Cruiser, sipping slushes. Jeremy and Christine were out on a date thing, so the two of you decided to just hang out with each other.
“Very much so,” you answered. “As I was saying, uh, you’ve really never had your first kiss?” Michael shrugged.
“Nope,”
“On the cheek?”
“Nope. Never has another human’s lips touched me, besides, well, relatives.”
“Same here,” you laughed. “I’ve never kissed anyone anywhere either,”
“Neither have I!”
“I’ve kissed food before,”
“Haven’t we all?” Michael laughed, and the two of you giggled together. Being around Michael was like being outside in the summer on a perfect day - you feel incredibly happy for no reason. He was radiating happiness and laughter, and you were in love with it. Once he finished with his slush, he started up his Cruiser and began driving you home.
“Here’s my house,” you pointed to a (house color) house. Michael nodded and pulled into the driveway. He got out of the car and, like a butler, opened the door for you.
“My lady,” he said, bowing as you stepped out.
“Such a gentleman,” you swooned playfully, placing the back of your hand on your forehead for a dramatic effect. “Thanks for the slush, Michael,” you thanked as he walked you to your door. His face grew dark red, and he seemed suddenly nervous.
“No problem,” he muttered before lightly planting a kiss on your forehead. Your face also became dark, matching Michael’s blush. “See you tomorrow,” he mumbled, shoving his hands in his hoodie pockets and walking away towards his car.
“Michael!” you called, grabbing onto his sleeve before he got too far. He turned to look at you, and you planted a kiss on his cheek. “There!” you laughed breathily. “Now we’re even!” and with that, you turned on your heel and went inside to squeal into your pillow.
Hey guys, thanks for reading! I REALLY want to continue this one, but only if it’s wanted!! If there’s a fic you want to read, request it by asking me in my ask box! Thank you! -Me :)

chapter one - detention
my multichapter percabeth highschool au! I’m super excited for this and I hope you guys like it! this story alternates between Percy and Annabeth’s point of view.
pj___
“Can you guys shut up?” I asked for what felt like the thirtieth time that class. Of course, they didn’t. They never did. I saw Ms. Price raise a thin eyebrow at me from behind her clunky computer screen. Blood rushed to my cheeks, and I tried my hardest to continue my work. However, it was pretty difficult when I felt a rubber band hit the back of my neck. A small stinging pain washed over me, and I turned in my chair.
“Seriously, cut it out,” I called. Of course, that wasn’t what I wanted to say, but swearing in class would get me in a whole lot more trouble than I could afford.
“Jackson, stop talking! Last warning.” The grumpy old teacher snapped. I pursed my lips to keep from doing that stupid thing I always did. You know, open my mouth just a little too big and say or do something dumb? Yeah, kind of a Percy Jackson trademark at this point. In the corner of my ear- wait, that didn’t make any sense. Peripheral hearing? Was that a thing? Just out of earshot? In the back of my mind?
Whatever, it didn’t matter. Very faintly, I could hear a couple snickers. Now, this pissed me off for several reasons. First of all, I was not having a good day. I’d burnt my eggs this morning and the coffee was bad, traffic made me 20 minutes late, I’d totally bombed my algebra test, Grover was sick, and they were threatening to kick me off the swim team if I didn’t get my grades up.
Secondly, I knew exactly who was laughing at me, with their stupid little giggles and jabs and god I hated them. They never even got in trouble, either! Ms. Price thinks I’m bad, she should see these assholes. Except she did, and she never said a single god damn word, as they sat and ridiculed everyone around them. Mean, rude, and a bunch of other words that mean literally exactly the same thing. Clarisse La Rue, Drew Tanaka, Octavian Solace, and Ethan Nakamura were all my worst enemies, for obvious reasons.
Anger boiled in my blood. Deep in my stomach, I felt little bits of rage coil up. I urged myself not to do anything, not to say anything. It wasn’t exactly working, though. Imagine putting a crap ton of magnets together in a container. Sure, they might stay apart for a few seconds, but eventually, magnetic pull brings them together. And once one snaps into place, another one follows, and another after that; before you know it, your magnets are one big blog that I like to refer to as a shit storm.
A fight was not something I could risk right now, especially since it would likely get me suspended. Trying and failing to keep my breathing steady, I pushed my pencil harder into my notebook. The paper tore, and the graphite broke. Gripping the pencil tightly, I felt the little coil in my stomach twisting tighter, and tighter, and the thing about twisting something as fragile as Percy Jackson’s temper is that it’s bound to break.
Admittedly, I didn’t actually have a plan. They were all sitting way too far back to straight up punch, and I didn’t have anything to say, specifically. So, I did what anybody should do in a hard situation. Turning in my chair, I pulled a weird face, scrunched up my nose, and tilted my head back and forth to mock their laughs.
Ha. Suck it.
“Jackson!” Shit, I thought. “Get out of my classroom!” Not wanting to risk any more trouble, I did as I was told. Drew winked at me and waved like all bitchy girls did, by wiggling their fingers and giggling. Groaning, I stuffed my notebook into my backpack. As I was doing my walk of shame out of the room, I got handed a pink detention slip. I could practically hear the snickers even down the hall.
pj___
Not gonna lie, I was surprised to see her in detention. To my knowledge, she was a great student and a star on the volleyball team. Didn't seem like the type to end up in trouble, but I'm not here to judge. After all, I'm on first name basis with all the ladies in the office. Not that I'm a bad kid, I just don't get a lot of lucky breaks. Plus, my grades kinda suck, and I constantly ask how many more credits I'll need to graduate.
Annabeth and I should have been in the same crowd. I've never been sure why we weren't; we were both technically jocks. She'd never been the most popular girl in school, but she got along with everyone. A talent I wish I possessed. I'd talked to her a couple of times, just in passing. You know, 'how hard is the social test? What are we doing in gym? Is that writing assignment due today?' stuff like that.
She was pretty cool. Pretty, too, but that's a different matter. She sat towards the back of the room, her nose in a book. I thought about sitting as far from her as I could, so I didn't have to distract her, but she was the only other person in the room. Sliding into the seat next to her, I propped my bag against the table leg. I debated whether or not to talk to her.
I probably should, right? I mean, I can't just sit next to the girl and not say anything. That's weird. She's probably noticed me by now. I have to say something quick.
“What are you in for?” she asked me when I turned to say something. I turned towards her and leaned on the bar connecting my chair and table. “Ms. Price is a bitch,” I said simply. Annabeth grimaced and nodded along. Golden princess curls fell in front of her face. Her shoulders shifted and I could tell she was about to turn away. “What about you?” I butted in as she reached for her earbuds. “I got caught selling my test for 20 bucks,” she answered, shaking her head. “What’d you need 20 bucks for?” “My drug habit,” she replied nonchalantly. My eyebrows crawled upwards. “I’m kidding, Percy,” laughing, she began sketching something in the corner of her notebook. “Shame,” I said, trying to start the conversation again. “I know a guy.”
For the rest of detention, we played games of tic tac toe and add-on. She won most of them, but I still had a good time. We even found a little MadLibs pad under my desk. Tears were shed while trying to choke back our laughter. We got yelled at a couple times by the student teacher, but he eventually just gave up. I'd never noticed it before, but Annabeth had really grey eyes. I don't know what colour I thought they were, but I wasn't expecting that. She had some freckles, too.
One of our add-on games ended up being a pretty rude drawing of Ms. Price. Drawing a witch's broom wasn't my proudest moment, but it made Annabeth laugh pretty hard, so it was worth it. She poked my cheek and told me to lose the smirk. I thought it was more of a cheeky grin, personally.
I must've been lost in thought for a second because when I looked at my hand, there was a little flower in the middle of it.
"Don't tell me," I started, dreading the answer. Giggling slightly, she nodded and held up her thin black sharpie. I let out a groan and felt my head hit the cool plastic of the desk. When I raised my eyes again, her nose was back in her book, earbuds in. As always, I came unprepared, absolutely nothing to do. Reaching into my bag for something very specific, I grinned in triumph when I felt it.
A small ballpoint pen that somehow always washed off right when I wanted it to. If there was one lucky thing in my life, it was this pen. I pulled the cap off and began to doodle on my hand. It started off with one flower, next to hers. You could definitely tell who drew what. My lines were shaky, and my petals didn't line up perfectly. In frustration, I began to draw another one.
Soon enough, a whole field of flowers was littered across my hand. I realized what I had done and licked my thumb, quickly trying to wipe it off. Of course, the one time I did something embarrassing I was near a pretty girl, the stupid ink didn't come off. I let out a shaky breath.
Annabeth must have heard my panic because she yanked out her earbud and looked at me, eyebrow cocked. When she saw my hand she grinned and poked my bicep repeatedly. Clinging onto whatever hope I had left with this girl, I hid my face in laughter. She let out a shrill 'Awwww!! Percy has feelings!'
Annabeth was… something else. Witty, chill, a laugh that sounds like a bell… I shook my head. I could not afford to go down this road right now. Once she'd quit poking me, I squared my shoulders away from the girl to my right and let her read in peace.

Raven I miss him. Sitting here in these dumb classes about things I know already. In my notebook my hand mindlessly doodles our names together. Since discovering Cameron being my eternal life partner and future he's all I think about. My mom explained how my body will go through what's similar to the ragging hormones of a lake beast at its mid aging period. Basically I'm gonna be horny a lot. The fact that my mate has the physical appearance of a heavenly angle with a mind just as beautiful makes this much harder.
"Princess please pay attention." The professor speaks out gaining my attention.
"My apologizes."
As she turns back I roll my eyes leaning my head on my hand. My mind is so far away from this stuff which most of I already know. Today was potions but we haven't even gotten to the actual making of any.
"The use of the other beings tear or blood makes it so this potion only effects that being. In the past incidents would happen where another takes in the potion by mistake that it self causes accidents that are muchly unnecessary." The professor says.
We learn things such as this with potions and then there's learning our history and other beings supernatural or human, how to use our powers, what to do in certain situations plus a lot more. I technically don't need to attend these class since I'm royalty and mostly will spend my life in my castle in our village. But my mate is a human so I need to learn all this stuff.
"Raven wanna get something to eat?" My best friend Lola ask as we walk out of class.
She of course is a vampire. Her family is also royalty just not as big as mine. One thing I love about her is this one power she has with her voice where she can get any being to fall to her command through a simple tone from her. It's kind of like a mermaid siren.
Now I know a few mermaids even swam with a few. Their sirens only apply when they are in water while Lola can do it whenever. I've seen it in person it's probably one of the coolest things ever.
"Yeah let's go down to that hookah bar since you know a princess just turned the big 1600." I fluff my curls.
As we walk through the halls heading out the students split and bow to our feet. Scattered delayed creation day wishes are said to me.
"I swear one day you are gonna have the biggest head ever with the way these people treat you." Lola laughs as a guy completely dropped to his knees at me.
"It's so hard to stay humble." We laughed reaching the school front.
The bright orange moon shines down on us. I put my shades over my red eyes shielding them from the heated rays. We decide to take each other cars. While sitting at a light my mind wonders back to Cameron. After invading his dream like that I morph back into my little kitty form and just watched him sleep. He woke soon smiling seeing I was still sitting on his bed. Greeted me with a soft touch to my fur. It was heart breaking when he left me but I plan to go back later on. I just have to see him again.
Our table was put in the middle of the cafe. A hookah sat on top with my favorite flavor blood orange.
"So have you found out who your mate will be?"
I blushed at Cameron popping into my mind once again. "Yes I found out that morning it's a human. His name is Cameron Waterson one of the guys I watched over."
Lola smiled taking in the flavor. "I see that blush he must be cute."
"So cute but it's not just his physical appearance because his mind is so much more advanced than most humans. The ora and vibe that radiate from him are so soothing. I actually went to see him in person."
"Really how?"
"Just disguised myself as a cute cat. He let me stay the night and I went into his dream so we could see each other. But I talked with my parents and my consoler my mission starts tonight."
"Oh my really so soon."
"Yeah I'm so nervous but excited at the same time. I just hope he likes me as much as I love him."
A waiter came taking our orders which appear at our table almost instantly. This cafe is run by fairies.
I drove back home just to change and to pack. My quest will began now.
Cameron Standing in front of the class of young adults I plug up my laptop showing my screen to everyone. Adjusting my glasses I clear my throat as the professor gives me the go to start.
"I decided to use the hippocampus or hippocam a Greek based mythical creature. The being is a beautiful combination of a horse and fish said to run on top of water, swim at amazing speeds under water and at times fly. It's honestly a out of this world creature I'd love to see one in person."
"Nerd." Someone coughed gaining a few petty laughs.
Sighing I continue showing a picture.
"It was said to be first seen around the late 700's BC. Most art pictions would show the animal with green scales and fins as this one while others give the creature more of a horse appeal letting it have the two front legs. The ancients believed they were the adult-form of the small fish we call the "sea-horse". Hippokampoi were the mounts of Nereid nymphs and sea-gods, and Poseidon drove a chariot drawn by two or four of the creatures."
Looking out everyone seems to be into it. I don't really care to be honest. Like said before college isn't a popularity contest I'm just here to get my degree.
"One popular seeing of the hippocampus is in the film Percy Jackson:Sea of Monsters."
My project got an 100% like I planned for. After all my classes I decided to spend sometime to myself. I know I'm constantly alone but there's a difference. When I first got here I went out discovering and found a quiet place for just me.
If I'm overwhelmed with the presents of others I come out into the woods located behind the school. Deep into the darkest dark park of the tree filled environment. The moon and stars put on a show giving slight light just enough for me to see my pad of paper and black led pencil.
My favorite time to come is around midnight the moon comes out and gives me such inspiration.
For last few nights I've had my mind invaded by a fantasy woman. She came to me in a dream I had. It stills leaves me amazed at the creation my mind came with. How can such a simple thing such as my brain form the most beautiful being I've ever laid eyes on. Her eyes drew me in taking my mind on a wild ride. If only she was real...who am I kidding? No girl wants a weirdo like me.
What girl finds a quiet nerd obsessed with fantasy things...sexy or cute or attractive at all?
My hand moves and without even really realizing what I was even doing. By the time my eyes focus back into reality it was done. I think I'm in love.

Dead Red Sky, and a Life line. by Stoodmuffin
Now, whatever your personal opinions are of this picture is, I have to say that this one is important to me. Not because it's better or worse than the other's, but it is basically one of the most important pieces in the Experimenting process I have done as of late. Context. I through out 99% of my art from Art 10/20/30 (High school art classes). I wanted to try and recreate one of those pieces. From memory. From over a decade ago. No references/no direct related references. Now, context for THAT context, for those interested: My art teacher loved me as much as she wanted to smack me over the head. She saw me as this brilliant expressionist painter. She saw me and my art in her's and her own. She'd talk about how we were both messy, and approach things from the inside out rather what most folks do. Especially in Art. Or how she would put it "Teaching people to let go and be messy is harder than teaching people to refine." Or rather, teaching someone to colour in the lines is harder than teaching someone to colour in the lines. Basically, people climb up a latter to get from the bottom to top, I was trying to figure out how to climb down the ladder. Enough metaphors for you? Well, okay. So, if it wasn't obvious enough I wanted to do art for cartoons and comics, even back then. Or even before. Though I can't say that I wanted that consistently through out my childhood, I CAN say I wanted to draw what ever I thought was cool at the time. So a lot of my inspiration from art was and is IPs verses VIP classical painters and movements. I drew more from things like Power Rangers and Pokemon than I did Picasso or Leonardo. And that frustrated her. She didn't get why I would want to do hyper-labour repetitive drawing than big, expressive, emotional pieces. And to further our frustration with each other, I didn't necessary understand her teaching methods? Like, Disney life draws loins for YEARS before they do a cartoon Lion. But, I, we, were different, right? If I was a bigger, messier, looser drawer... wouldn't it make sense for me to draw Scar (which would have less detail) and work my way UP to a real lion? If I was learning backwards, wouldn't it make sense for me to practice, say, rubber hose styles to get approximation of figure and THEN start life drawing? That is it's own topic of discussion, and I think the answer is more complex than I, her, or other Art teachers/Students want to accept. But needless to say, there was tension, even though we had a mostly good relationship. That's why My expressionist piece and my Cubist piece we so important. I could really show her that I figured out how to take those refinements and make my big expressive things more precise. I could finally flex my art muscles AND give her what she wanted. This was an easy A. Except, it wasn't. I started out super strong in both concept and design. Expressionist, dark, emotional, not two surreal but surreal enough. Off putting, but compositionally strong. Problem. The green Sky and read worked really well, probably better in the original. The Mermaid was off center, so it wasn't a "center focus" composition. Something I had been dinged for on other's pieces that year. I can't remember what specific colour choices killed the tension of the piece, but as soon as I put that Mermaid up... I accidentally lost all of the energy that came from the red and green sky. That was a common theme in that art class. I was close. Some ways, closer than I had ever been to make something that stood out. That met both my teacher's and my creativity needs. That wasn't me blowing off instructions and demonstrating I actually LEARNED stuff. But I would either mess up one thing or not stop adding stuff to the point... that it wasn't like, not good. It was just. Good. Not great or excellent. But, more than alright. In fact I think she still liked it. But I could tell she was disappointed. It got so frustrating that she was keep pressuring me to show my portfolio to the local art school, and I just couldn't. I couldn't handle being so close and yet still missing one key ingredient. I couldn't handle that it was my own vision or love of what I did that was holding me back. It made me mad. So frustrated. Policy was that if we didn't pick up our art, it was tossed. Pretty sure I never did, or tossed it even if I had. Never bothered to apply to art school because I just thought I couldn't make it. And Knowing I probably wasn't going to be an anime/manga creator (I wasn't as big of weeb as I was in middle school, but I still was in highschool) I had set my sites on teaching in Japan. That's what my degree was going to be for (that didn't turn out as planned, either). But, even if I am still working out the kinks or learning, or that I created it through infrequent doodles, my current style has technically be been formed after many years. Ever since that day I still doodled, learned, re-learned, forgot, and re made again. That Even though I still don't full understand the basics she tried to teach me, or that I often start and stopped, I never REALLY gave up on Art. You can see in things like the Landscape photo, or other things that I have drawn, that I have tried to re tap into the skill sets I had when I was younger. I NEED to play with them if I want my cartooning skills to improve. For example, things like this make me focus on the basics in ways I often forget to do when I am just doodling - Line - Shape - Colour - rendering (Shading) - composition Like I will actually remember to thing in terms of fore/middle/and back ground, actually fitting stuff on a page rather than just drawing 180 medium shots. It makes me blatantly more aware of my flaws: like missing details/ over adding, not being aware of where the light is hitting an object/ 2D vs 3D, shaky lines and yadda yadda. And just like how certain studies with marker in real life helped me try to draw things right the first time to not over correct, this study makes me try and force me to think in the terms of art. Not just doodling or shit posting, but actual art. TL;DR: This pick being "good" or "bad" means less to me. Not completely irrelevant, but second to that I m recreating old works from almost a decade ago straight from my brain. In access to re access and channel the things I was good at before, with my cartooning style, and trying to capture and master the basics that I struggle with. It ain't perfect. But it's an important step and I'm PROUD OF IT DARN IT. lol So, here you go. An updated piece that you can't compare to the original. Hope you like?

lip gloss
(also here on ao3, on the idea that Trini has a crush on Kim throughout the movie)
It was almost impossible not to notice Kimberly Ann Hart. Trini took notice on her first day at the school, staring from her seat at the back where of course – no one noticed her. She only learned of her name through the attendance call though based on the whispers in the hall later she would have learned it soon enough anyway.
She wasn’t sure what it was at first, taking note of Kim’s hair which was up in a ponytail that day since she had gymnastics practice later (though Trini wouldn’t learn of that fact until later), seeing how there were tiny whisps that dared to escape from the hair elastic and drew attention to Kim’s neck.
Trini was certain she was staring too hard, her face felt too hot but when she glanced around still no one was looking at the new girl. It was business, and her life, as usual. With a sigh she doodled in her notebook, refusing to look up at Kim again.
Except that she kept doing it much to her own annoyance. Biology class came around and Trini found herself always looking in Kim’s direction. One day Kim turned around and Trini stiffened, panicking slightly that she’d been caught but Kim was just turning to talk to the student behind her. Even this far away Trini could catch the light on her lip gloss.
She almost wished she’d been caught staring. Acknowledged somehow. But the day passed on and at dinner when her mother pressed her on what she did that day Trini just shrugged.
“Same thing I do every day mom.” Trini said, probably the epitome of the rebellious teenager in her mother’s eyes. She almost said ‘stare at a girl in my biology class’ just to see how her mom would react but stopped herself at the last minute. Telling her would never do Trini any good, it was just a floodgate to a million other things she never wanted her mom to know.
When she didn’t say anything else her mom sighed and began a rant on the importance of making friends that Trini tuned out.
~~
Until that was she actually had friends, bonded by the power they’d been given and of course by just her luck one of them was Kim.
“We have English together don’t we?” Kim asked over the fire.
Trini snorted, feeling bitter that Kim couldn’t even get that right. “Biology actually.” The conversation turned from there, Zack realizing what it was she had hidden for so long and she couldn’t help spilling a little of it in her frustration but feeling so much better now that it was out. That someone else knew.
Only then there was Rita and Billy dying and coming back and the battle of a lifetime.
She felt freer after it, she had people at her side who would be there no matter what and when she was in Biology class and looking Kim’s way – Kim actually looked back. With her lips curved upwards in bemusement of the secret they bore together and the ignorance around them. There was still that ever present shine of lip gloss.
“Do you like her?” Zack was the first to catch on, perceptive as he was.
Trini choked on her water, glaring at Zack as he pounded on her back to help her. “What are you even talking about?” She said once she caught her breath, praying for him to just ignore it.
“You keep staring. You know come to think of it,” Zack began, leaning back in his chair, “You were doing that before, when we confronted you on the cliff, you kept just staring at Kim.” Her mouth tasted sour with something like fear that she hadn’t even felt when fighting Rita. Zack noticed that too and waved it off. “I’m not gonna tell her.” He promised and Trini sighed with relief. “Though you probably should.”
She pressed her lips together to shoot him another glare, glad they were out of hearing range from the others in the detention hall. “That might be the worst idea I’ve heard from you and seeing as how you tried to steal a Zord before we were ready, that’s saying something.”
He just patted her on the shoulder in sympathy and grinned too widely.
“What are you two up to?” Kim’s voice came from next to her, too close to her ear and Trini jumped in surprise, whirling to face her. She looked to open, staring at Trini with a welcoming smile.
Trini mumbled something though she wasn’t quite sure what it was and elbowed her way past Kim, grabbing her bag and marching out – after all she was free to go whenever she pleased and only stayed in the detention to be with the gang. She could hear Kim calling out to her but Zack must have stopped her because Kim didn’t follow her in to the hallway.
~~
She ignored her mom’s cry of attention too when she stomped in to the house and up to her room. Trini flopped on her bed and buried her face in her hands. Zack was right – she did like Kim. She liked Kim right from the beginning when it was just a curious crush and she liked Kim now when it had exploded in to a full blown affection.
Trini groaned, sitting up and scowling at the hole in her room. “This is all your fault.” She told it and by extension Rita because technically that was true. “I was happy not being seen.” That was lie, she felt it as soon as she said it because she didn’t regret joining the Power Rangers at all.
Grabbing her headphones she jammed it over her ears and turned up her ipod, falling back to stare up at the ceiling and letting the music take over her. She must have been doing that for a while because when a shadow fell over her Trini jerked up, catching her forehead on their chin.
“Ow!” A voice rang above her as she pulled off her headphones, revealing it to be Kim and not her mom like Trini had thought.
“What are you doing here?” Trini blurted out, gaping at Kim.
“Getting a head injury.” Kim shot back, rubbing her chin. “You know you might hit harder than those Putties in the Pit.”
Trini snorted in amusement before realizing that Kim was standing there, in her room, completely alone. “How did you get in here?”
“Through the door.” Kim grinned, “Your mom let me, she uh, gushed a lot about how excited she was to see me first.”
Trini made a face and rolled her eyes, “Can’t wait to hear about that during dinner.” She muttered.
“Well I might be able to save you from that.” Kim said and shrugged, “If you wanted.”
“If I wanted to get out of dinner with my family for a night? Yeah I think so.”
“I mean if you wanted to go with me.” Kim looked down at the floor. “I wasn’t sure since clearly I did something wrong since you left detention like I was the plague or something.”
Trini swallowed the guilt and shook her head, “It was just uh, it wasn’t you okay. Can we just drop this?”
Kim hummed, “If you drop me dragging you over a cliff. I’d say we can be even.”
“Not even close.” Trini laughed, “But I guess I’ll tally it as a start.”
~~
Dinner actually consisted of take out at Jason’s house while his parents were out watching his little sisters play. She took the seat next to Billy and watched as he tinkered with his computer. Kim sat on the couch next to them, her feet touching Trini’s where she didn’t bother to move them after stretching out once they’d finished eating.
Trini kept switching her gaze from Billy, to where Kim’s feet touched hers, and Kim herself who seemed engrossed in whatever was playing on the TV.
Jason stopped her before she left, the worried leader look on his face, “Everything okay with you two? Zack wouldn’t tell us anything when you left detention.”
Maybe it was because Zack had already proven himself as being trustworthy with that secret and she wanted to tell another or maybe it was because she knew now that Jason cared about all their wellbeings or maybe it was just that she couldn’t keep it in anymore and seemed like the secret was out because Trini blurted, “I like Kim.”
Jason paused for a second, taking in what she said and then rested a hand on her shoulder. “Need a wingman?”
She couldn’t help but laugh at how ridiculous that was, hugging Jason quickly and then pulling away. “I think Zack’s beaten you to that spot actually. You may have to fight him for it. But thanks.”
He squeezed her shoulder and let her slip out to walk back to her house where she spent all night thinking about Zack had a point and she should tell Kim – at least to get this over with so there wasn’t another secret between the team that screwed them over somehow down the line.
As if to prove that everything was fine she summoned some of her armour, breathing a sigh of relief when it flickered on her arm and went away when she wished it.
It had gone well with Zack and Jason knowing, maybe Kim knowing too wouldn’t be so bad. It was just a strange affectionate crush after all, it wasn’t like she was staring more than usual or dreaming about Kim’s eyes and how that lip gloss tasted.
Trini stopped when she realized what she had thought and shoved a pillow over her face to muffle her groan. Now she certainly would dream about that for sure.
~~
Ultimately she decided to tell Billy first, it wasn’t right to leave him out of the loop and the next day she walked back to his place after school with him.
“I think satellites have picked something up.” Billy was saying, too fast for her to really understand but Trini listened and tried to anyway. He showed her the map he had made of pings in space and she helped him track a few more.
“Hey Billy,” Trini began, biting her lip. “There’s just something I wanted to tell you first. Zack and Jason know, but uh, I like Kim. Like…like like.”
That helped Billy understand and comprehension of sorts dawned on his face and he nodded quickly. “Makes sense, did you know that when we were in grade school Kim would put ribbons in her hair, I mean not a lot of ribbons really but there were ribbons.”
Trini felt a surge of gratitude towards him like she had Zack and Jason for understanding and would have hugged him too except that just then their phones buzzed.
“Oh. It’s Kimberly.” Billy tilted his head at his phone and then looked up Trini wide eyed. “Oh.”
“It’s fine.” Trini assured him, “I was…well I was going to tell her. Guess today’s as good as any. I’ll text Zack and Jason and tell them not to come. I’ll swing by later to help you out with the project.” She nodded at the board where they had pinned strings everywhere according to Billy’s notes.
He smiled at her and waved a goodbye, as she left she heard something about ribbons again.
~~
“Where’s everyone else?” Kim greeted when Trini arrived at the coffee shop, “Not that I don’t like having you just to me.” She swung her arm over Trini’s shoulder, pulling in for a half hug of sorts.
“They uh, couldn’t make it.” Trini lied, “But there was something I wanted to talk to you about.” She drew in a sharp breath, squirming away from Kim to face her. “I have a crush on you and you don’t need to worry.” She said hurriedly, “It’s just a crush. It should fade.” That felt like a lie.
Kim blinked, her eyelashes far too long and Trini was half tempted to count them except that – she was staring again. She really had to stop that if they were going to work around this.
Only Kim was really close, close enough to smell the flowery scent of the shampoo she used that morning in her hair, somehow when Trini had been distracted by her eyelashes she’d leaned across the table and was now inching just a little closer.
Her lip gloss tasted like strawberries Trini realized when Kim kissed her, and her hands felt unusually warm when they cupped Trini’s cheek. She leaned in to the kiss before she really thought about it, reaching up to drag her fingers through Kim’s hair and then her senses came back to her and Trini pulled back.
“What are you doing?”
“Wondering why it took you so long to get I liked you too.”
Trini opened her mouth at that, denial on her tongue, “You didn’t even notice me a few months ago.”
Kim looked sheepish at that, guilty, “I was busy being a bitch.” She admitted, “I’m hoping to be better now.” Her fingers brushed Trini’s in an apology. “And I do like you.”
“You know you weren’t that obvious.” Trini deadpanned, trying to think back if she had missed something in Kim’s behaviour.
“Hey I don’t split a muffin with just anybody.” Kim teased and even pushed a muffin she must have bought Trini’s way.
“If we’re dating can I get the last bite?” Trini asked, snatching the muffin off the table before Kim could stop her.
When Kim leaned across the table Trini thought it was for the muffin until she got another kiss in response. Just as she relaxed Kim grabbed the muffin from her hand “Nope.” Kim said, grinning in a challenge.
Trini narrowed her eyes and rolled up her sleeves, smirking back at Kim. It was on.
~~
She caught Kim staring when she looked up in their Biology class, straight at her in her nowhere little corner in the room that didn’t feel so empty anymore.

celestiyale here~ all of the oc questions because I'm an ass like that
I can’t believe you’ve done this to me
1. Your first OC ever?
Technically my sonic oc I made when I was like what, 8?
In all seriousness, I think it’s Kara. She’s can shapeshift into a wolf.
2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?
I’d gotta say it’s probably Chase. He’s pretty upbeat and I think about what stupid things he’d get into.
3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else?
Nah
4. A character you rarely talk about?
I barley talk about most of my OCs, you’ll just have to ask to see them
(。•̀ᴗ-)✧
5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?
Kara. She’s apart of a story i’m trying to make and therefore if she’s popular than my other characters would be by association.
6. Two OCs of yours that look alike despite not being related?
Chase and Mike. When I first did their designs freshman year of highschool they looked almost the same, thankfully I’ve fixed that a bit. Just in case though it gave me an excuse to pretend they’re brothers of sorts.
7. Are your OCs part of any story or stories?
Kara, Jasper, Bellona, and a couple others i’ve yet to name. They’re the ones that actually have a kind of story going on. still working on the others
8. Do you RP as any of your OCs? If you do, introduce one of your RP OCs here!
I haven’t RP’ed since elementary school @whimsicalsnail can vouch for me
9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else?
No, they’re all my children and I love them.
10. Introduce an OC with a complicated design?
None of them are very complicated actually...a bit too simple if you ask me...
11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a “sunshine”?
Chase or Kara
12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot
There are too many webcomics I’ve read for me to pick one
13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs?
Elliot, he’s in college and he’s a punk
14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory
Kara and Jasper. Their family and possibly clan were wiped out by a witch and wizard. Jasper takes care of Kara like a little sister and feels responsible for both their families fallen because he could have given a better warning. Since the attack, Kara has nightmares and if she get’s too emotional (anger, fear, sadness) something else takes over.... talk about cliche
15. Do you like to talk about your OCs with other people?
Only ones that promise not to judge how terrible they all are
16. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)?
Mia
17. Any OC OTPs?
I don’t really ship any of my OCs together. I’ve tried making someone for Chase and Mike but...relationships are complicated and so is OC making
18. Any OC crackships?
Nah
19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)
I can’t say there’s one that “means a lot” to me...guess I don’t bond with them enough hehe
20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?
Chase is a singer. He’s the lead singer of a little rock band he make called Rising Phoenixes (It’s a work in progress people). I made him when I first heard the song The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy. So his voice would be something like Patrick Stump with maybe a bit of Chester Bennington from Linkin Park and Michael Barnes from Red. Obviously he’s really into rock music and he likes rap as well as some pop.
21. Your most artistic OC
Technically Chase. The rest of em are goons. Elliot doodles somewhat but that’d when he’s not paying attention in class or procrastinating
22. Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how?
I wouldn’t know since not many people know about them
23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?
With complete honesty, none of my OCs have really changes much since I’ve made them. Design, yeah, but they have the same personality and goals and stuff.
24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?
Elliot or Chase. They’re both dumb and I love them.
25. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?)
Kara. When I made her in elementary I was basically trying to make myself seem more interesting...
26. Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will?
Nope. All the changes I’ve done are my own choices.
27. Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song?
Buddy, a lot of my OCs are based on songs. My problem is that I don’t remember most of them...
Mike - Basketcase by Green Day
Chase - The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy
Mia - Titanium by David Guetta ft. Sia
Bonnie - Cake by Melanie Martinez
28. Your most dangerous OC?
Realistically, Mia. She’s a spy and analyzes all situations with caution.
Fantasy wise, Bellona and her brother. They use their magic with little to no regard for other life.
29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?
I would say Elliot but he’s a little turd so he’d tell everyone just to act like a tough guy.
30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?
Mia. The semi stoic ones always have a soft side.
31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really)
Chase would have a social blog that probably promotes his band and there’s a bunch of selfies with him and his bandmates along with audio posts of their songs. Some grumpy Mike pictures are included.
32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why?
Mia. Since she’s a spy she’s got all the training to survive and she’s been trained mentally to adapt to situations. There’s a chance she’ll scream at some point though.
33. Your shyest OC?
Elliot. He’s very socially awkward.
34. Do you have any twin characters?
Debating wether to give Kara a twin brother. I dabbled in wether I wanted a girl or boy and I can have both if they’re siblings. Still indecisive about it though.
Might be repetitive though since Bellona and her brother are twins as well.
35. Any sibling characters?
Mike and Chase aren’t related by blood, but they have a sort of bond like siblings.
36. Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)?
I’m not sure I understand the question.
37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human
Kara and Jasper are both shapeshifters. Kara originally turned into a black wolf but after the attack on her family, her fur is black and white. Jasper can turn into a red wolf. Bellona and her brother know magic and are able to turn into dragons.
38. Which one of your OCs would be the best dancer?
I’m thinking that Mike was sent to ballet or some sort of fancy dance classes. Meanwhile I have another OC that GETS DOWN AT THE CLUB.
39. Introduce any character you want
Jasper isn’t talked about much so uh. Yeah he’s a shapeshifter and acts much like a protective older brother towards Kara. He’s got a hint of Jakob from Fire Emblem Fates to his personality when it comes to Kara. He’s a typically polite young man and he tried to hide his emotions a lot of the time. He can be very caring and kind depending on the person though.
40. Any fond memories linked to your characters? Feel free to share!
When I first drew Mike, my friend said he was hot. It was during theatre my freshman year.
41. Has anyone drawn fanart of your OCs? If yes, maybe show a picture or two here (remember sources & permissions!)
@whimsicalsnail has, but they’re buried deep in our tumblr convo
42. Which one of your OCs would be the most interested in Greek gods?
hmm probably Chase
43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess
I’m gonna be honest, I consider all of my OCs attractive and I would probably date the dudes. I’m guily of same face syndrome too probably.
44. Something you like about your OCs in general
I like that i’m able to make them and that I don’t always have to draw fanart to feel satisfied
45. A character you no longer use?
I use all of them...in due time...some more than others...
46. Has anyone ever told you that you treat your OCs badly?
I DON’T TELL PEOPLE ABOUT MY OCS SO NO....
47. Has anyone ever (friendly) claimed any of your OCs as their child?
I don’t tell people enough...@whimsicalsnail probably has
48. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure
Either Chase or Kara
49. Which one of your OCs would most likely enjoy memes
Elliot. He’s a college student, of course he’d be too into memes.
50. Give me the good ol’ OC talk here. Talk about anything you want
I usually create OCs based on songs, even if I can’t remember them all. There are a few songs that i’d relate to my OCs and think of them when listening to them. Kara is basically my self insert into the fiction world and I am ashamed but it’s too late now. I hope they all don’t have the same kind of personality too....
If you’re interested in any of my OCs, I’ll gladly do some doodles of them to show you what they look like!
@axioms-sassiest this took me almost an hour to do....why.....

Inktober Day 28 - Gift
Summary: Ayame has a gift to help Ray and Vaughan do proper idol activities. It’s hard to get your own Aikatsu pass when you’re indy.
---
Monday; even in Japan, it was the worst day of the week.
“Stand! Bow!”
From her seat in the back of the room, Ray's back threatened to crack in two. She still wasn't too sure about this whole bowing thing – it seemed dumb to her. But it was Japan, and she wasn't a total asshole. When the class rep barked orders at the end of class, even she listened.
Class was over for the day inside the general education wing of Star Harmony Academy. Girls in green dresses with blue collars filtered out of their classrooms, heading to club activities or other obligations. Class 1-3 was no different. Once they were free to go, out they went.
Ray was the last among them. She took her time gathering up her books, grimacing at the day's attempt. Between her awkward hiragana – kanji was beyond her still – and doodles when she had lost focus, not a whole lot was going on there.
“Guess I might need to look at Mei's notes again.” The girl in front of her was no doubt being polite to the dumb ass foreigner, but her notes were a godsend. It wasn't as if she wanted to rely on them, but it was just so damn hard to pay attention in class, especially in her heavy uniform as spring warmed up around them. It be a miracle if she stayed awake at all come summer.
Really, though, she was stalling. The last thing Ray wanted right then was to go out into the hallway and expose herself to the girls of the general track. After what had happened on Saturday... she winced at the thought. No thanks.
That had been beyond a shit show.
Sighing, she eventually threw her backpack over her shoulders and left the classroom, entering the corridor that would lead her outside the school gates. Maybe it was just her imagination, but a few of the students whispered as she passed.
If it wasn't them, it was her goddamn teacher asking if she was going to transfer. No.
“Ray.”
It wasn't the voice that drew her attention. Rather, the person speaking hadn't tacked anything onto it. That was rare, especially at school. So, Ray broke out of her mini pity party and looked in the direction it was coming from.
Ok, clearly the whispers weren't for her at all. Good to know.
“I think you're on the wrong side of school, Ayame.”
Her stepsister's school shoes and the bright pink bow made that more than obvious. She stuck out like a sore thumb on this side of the campus. Among her idol classmates no one would have batted an eye but this was an entirely different country practically. One with more practical shoes, for that matter.
Then again what did Ray know about that, her street shoes were combat boots.
Ayame had been standing by the classroom door, no doubt creating quite a scene. Really, it was a wonder Ray hadn't noticed her. Maybe it was the warm weather. Either way, her stepsister wasn't in the practice room, and that was weird.
She normally didn't leave that on school days til practically 7 unless she had a job in town. What gives?
“I needed to talk to you about something. Could you come with me?”
Oh... shit.
If this was about transferring, Ray didn't want to hear it. Still, she fell in line behind Ayame as the older girl started walking. Together, the pair went from the general education side of the school towards where the idols had their classes. There was no official line in the sand to mark them off, but even so. It felt different.
It kind of felt like she was invading as she crossed over.
“How was class today?” Ayame's tone was polite as they walked through the corridors of the idol section. As Ray looked in the door, she saw girls in track suits practicing their moves or going through other lessons in the practice areas. There was nothing like that on her side of the school – they didn't really need it. “Is it getting easier to write in hiragana?”
“Yeah... kanji's still kind of hard though. I don't get stroke order for shit.” She looked around frowning. “Ayame, if this is about transferring classes, I already said I wasn't interested. Besides, I'd break my neck in those shoes.”
Seriously, who made heels part of a school uniform? It had to be idol hazing – everyone else got nice, normal shoes that slid on easy. Those looked like torture devices, especially since the idols had to wear them all day. Forget about it.
Her stepsister didn't break stride as they kept walking. “First off, you'd be surprised how quickly you can adapt to them if you wear them all the time.”
She would rather not.
Ayame wasn't finished though. “Wait here, I'll be right out.”
They stopped not at some administrator's office, but at a small room that Ayame entered after briefly making herself known. It was hard to hear what she was talking about through the thick wood, but the glass gave a pretty good view. She was talking with some adult who was at a whiteboard covered in multicolored writing. Something about Sakura Sensation maybe?
“Guess that's her manager.” Ray had never met the woman, though she had heard about her over dinner. She was pretty sure that was Suzuki, but it wasn't like she was being introduced to her or anything. “Wonder what's up?”
She froze briefly when the woman looked straight at her through the glass, back snapping ramrod straight with such a ferocity she swore they'd be able to hear it crack all the way back in Amarillo. Luckily, nothing was broken – just her pride was a bit bruised.
Ayame came out a few moments after that, closing the door behind her. From the looks of things, they weren't stopping to chat. That was fine by Ray as she fell in step behind her stepsister – introductions could lead to other things, like pink bows and heeled school shoes. Besides, she had once been told she had a problem with authority.
No idea where they got that from.
“Something up?” Ray asked when they got away from the production room. They had stopped at the small outside area where the fountain could be accessed by both classes. There was a free bench, so that's where they wound up. Much to her surprise, she swore she could feel a tension in the air.
Her stepsister didn't answer at first – she was too busy sorting through small cards, dividing them up into two neat piles to her right. Whatever she was working with, it was like she handling some holy book. There was love in her touch, almost outright devotion.
… Well, shit. What the fuck had she done now?
Ray had never been good at waiting for things. Twitchy, her grade school teacher had said when they were being polite. Outright asshole was what the less polite ones had gone for. She wasn't a patient person, and it was showing now. It took everything in her not to get up and look, and even as she remained seated the urge was there. But somewhere a teacher got its wings as she stayed in her seat and for once in her goddamn life, didn't open her mouth.
Wouldn't her mother be proud?
When Ayame had finished, she scooped up one of the piles and sorted it again. Then she turned to face Ray. Finally, she handed the small stack over, a smile flitting across her face. The second pile she kept in her hands, probably for safe keeping against the wind.
“What's this?” Ray glanced down and blinked in surprise. At the top of the pile was a shiny pink card with a diamond to the left and her name in katakana to the right. It was held in a little pink carrier, much like the one Ayame kept on her schoolbag. “Wait, this looks like your-”
Aikatsu Pass. It was an Aikatsu Pass – hers.
Wordlessly, Ray put the pass and holder aside. Underneath were four cards, each of them depicting an article of clothing. Unlike Ayame's, they weren't branded with anything other than a spade for the cool type, but she didn't need that. After all, she had worn the exact same outfit on stage, give or take a few modifications by whoever had seen fit to make it.
Seeing her stepsister's face, Ayame filled in the details. “Suzuki-san helped me make the coord cards and fill out the information for your pass. Vaughan's stuff is over here. I hope he doesn't mind his pass is pink – we only have that kind here.”
She kept on, still smiling. “You have the Aikatsu app on your phone, right? If you scan the QR code you can put your coord in there so you can keep your cards in a binder.”
“Uh... yeah.” Ray swallowed hard, suddenly finding it a little hard to do so. Allergies, maybe? “I mean... thanks. You didn't have to do this.”
With her own pass and cards, she technically had all she needed to be an official idol. Unlike the last time, now she and her partner could access the Aikatsu system and the illusion stage. There would be no more standing in front of a blank screen in front of an audience used to that sort of thing. If they chose to, they could work the system the same as any other idol.
Because... well... they were technically idols now, weren't they?
Ayame shook her head at the gratitude. “I did, really. You two didn't stand half a chance against Pure Palette without passes or coords. It's amazing you scored as well as you did.”
She handed Ray Vaughan's pass and cards and the two shared a gaze. For the first time, Ayame didn't look annoyed with her. Rather, there was something almost like pride. Was she proud of her? That wasn't exactly something the younger girl was used to, and she quickly averted her eyes as her face heated up. So much for being a tough guy.
“Yeah, I know it was a shit show. You don't have to bring it up.”
Her stepsister giggled at the reaction. “Sorry, didn't mean to bring up any bad feelings. You'll get them next time.”
She stood, looking towards the practice room. “I have to get back to my lessons, but I'll see you tonight at home. Tomorrow I'll show you and Vaughan how to use the system.”
Great, because it made no fucking sense to Ray – bunch of buttons and weird light shit that popped up out of nowhere. If someone who understood it was willing to show them the ropes, they'd take it. Besides, they had practice at her school tomorrow anyway.
Before she left, Ayame ha one last remark. “Put them away before you lose them.”
“Yes, mom.” Ray's voice was thick was sarcasm as she slid both the cards and one of the passes into the front pocket of her schoolbag, zipping it tight. “They're in my front pocket.”
Well, that fuzzy moment was over – her sister disappeared, leaving her alone with her thoughts and pass. In her hands, it looked so small. Yet as it reflected the light and showed her name spelled out so neatly in katakana -neater than she could ever write it – a funny feeling took her over.
Instead of shoving it into the pocket of her backpack, Ray threaded it through the zipper. Then it was on her back as she headed not for home, but for her partner's school. They had practice planned for that afternoon, though it was scheduled to be more of a performance overview.
Maybe the cards would brighten their moods. After all, it wasn't every day you got a gift like that.
