For some reason, I’ve always headcanoned that Tech is a REALLY good dancer. Idk if it’s because he reminds me of my grandfather or just Tech’s general vibes, but yeah.

I just know that you can’t take Crosshair or Tech to a magic show.

They’re deeply unimpressed.

Crosshair’s eyes are too sharp, and no sleight of hand is fast enough.

Tech is going to go home, and try to improve on every illusion because the magician’s mechanics were “poorly planned, and poorly executed.”

Wrecker and Omega have to ditch them if they want to enjoy anything like that at all.

Hunter's sensory meltdowns:

· It's always been Wrecker's speciality to look after Hunter regarding his sensory meltdowns.

· He can usually sense when Hunter is struggling before anyone else (Tech has never seen one. When he catches onto the situation, he worries he is an overwhelming person and would only be a hindrance.)

· He tries to eliminate unnecessary stimuli on the ship or keep him grounded with a firm hand on his shoulder in public.

· It was Wrecker who gave Hunter his bandana. Hunter's main form of stimming was chewing his hair until the ends started to snap off. It used to be a lot longer but now it's as long as it can be without it being able to reach his mouth. He's become very aware of his unhealthy stims over the years and now tries to anchor himself in his body, so when he's overwhelmed or bored, you'll find him very still, eyes fixed on the middle distance as he tunes into his own heartbeat.

· When they can't be prevented, Hunter usually manages to take himself away without suspicion. Wrecker finds him panicking or crying somewhere and holds him in a firm embrace if he needs, or leaves him alone in quiet.

· Wrecker hasn't memorized hand signals, but he knows all the signals created between him and Hunter mid-meltdown when talking is just too much. A squeeze on the thumb for a pillow and blanket, a pat on the hand to be left alone, a kiss on the hand for a tight hug.

· Wrecker will wait with Hunter even when it seems like he's calmed down. This time is spent in complete silence while Hunter recuperates until he sits up and suggests making a cup of tea.

· Crosshair has helped a lot too. Sometimes he will happen to walk in during the peak when Wrecker isn't there and will simply sit with him. If he asks for something, Crosshair will sort it, but most of the time he gives Wrecker the space and makes sure the cockpit is organized and calm before they return.

Another random Tech headcanon I have-

He’s really awkward at first with physical affection and sudden acts of intimate contact, like sitting in his lap- at first he’d be like,

“Uh…uhm, wh-what are we doing? What, what is- are we??”

But as soon as he’s used to it, he’s like,

“That’s right baby, take a seat on daddy’s throne. Right there, good girl.” *pats thigh*

There is no in between for him.

What Hurts the Most (Tech x gn!reader)

It was raining on Pabu. It had been five weeks. Five long weeks since we lost Tech. I was grateful for the rain, it gave me someone to cry with. I wasn’t ashamed to cry in front of the others but I just didn’t want them to see that part of me just yet. So here I sit, letting myself cry, alone. Even though it had been over a month since it happened, going on with my life without him being here was hard. It hurt. Of course, it did. He was gone and it was my fault. 

I had a hold on him through the force. The debris of the cart fell down around him as I held him, suspended in the air. All my concentration was on him and keeping him from falling. 

I heard the muffled yell of my voice but it was too late. One of the Stormtroopers’ blaster bolts hit me in the back of my shoulder. And I as fell to my knees, Tech slipped from my grip and fell as well. 

But that wasn’t what hurt the most. 

The most painful part of all of this was that I was so close to telling him the truth. Telling him that I loved him, telling him everything. As I watched, helplessly as he fell, the realization of the moment hit me. Tech was gone. He would surely die on impact with the ground. He would never get to know how much I loved him. I would never know what could’ve been between us. 

Now, it feels like everything in my life is standing in as a reminder of him. I see him everywhere I go. I wasn’t sure how I was managing but somehow, I was. I tell his brothers that I am okay and force a smile when I see them, but it’s all fake. I know this must be hard for them, just as it was for me. 

Just getting up in the mornings, and getting dressed was hard. I was living with the guilt of the accident and regret of never telling him how I felt. At nights when I lay awake I would beg and plead for whatever higher being was out there for the chance to go back and tell him how I felt. Maybe then he wouldn’t have done it. Maybe then he wouldn’t have cut himself loose, forcing me to save him… or try to at least. 

It hurt that he was gone, and I missed him every second of the day. But what hurt the most was knowing he died not knowing how much I loved him.

⚠️TBB S2 FINALE SPOILERS! ⚠️

a/n: angst. All the angst. I am still coping.

Tech was falling.

The air rushed around his head, creating a hollow buzz in his helmet. His body picked up speed as it plummeted towards the rock earth, and wispy clouds could do nothing to stop his descent.

He was falling. But it was okay. His brothers were safe.

That was all that mattered.

Tech supposed that if he was to regret anything, it would be that now there was no way to find Crosshair. Crosshair, who would always let him ramble on and on for hours about all his different projects.

He had so many unfinished projects…

He shook it off, closing his eyes as he felt the air flow faster and faster around him.

Memories flashed underneath his eyelids. Hunter chastising him for staying up too late, then making him a perfect cup of caf the next morning when Tech could barely keep his eyes from drooping. Adding modifications to Echo’s arm, both of them sharing smiles when Omega wanted to paint it pink. Later Tech would let her plaster sparkly stickers to his data pad. He remembered all of the times he had argued with Wrecker about how to care for Omega. Now he only wished he had shut up and spent more time with him in friendly conversation.

At least he was safe now. They all were.

He saw the tallest peaks of the mountains pass his vision, and he knew his time was running out.

He was so tired…

Tech opened his eyes to see the clear blue of the sky before his body hit the ground.

He could finally stop fighting.

A Bad Batch x Red Dead Redemption AU that’s been living in my head for a while 🤠

Omega does not like the names Hunter gave the horses

The Batch is a small time outlaw gang of brothers hiding out as hands on a dude ranch. Trying to leave their pasts as mercenaries behind them. Until they receive a mysterious letter that their long lost younger sister is being housed in an orphanage nearby. After an unsuccessful attempt to legally adopt her, they return later to break her out.

Now they’re all wanted criminals trying to outrun the law as well as their past.

✨HCs for that time of the month w/ The Bad Batch✨

A/N: posting this out of the drafts instead of day 6 for my 30 day challenge. I was incredibly emosh over the movie I saw today, and simply couldn’t. I’ll post later this evening, or double up tomorrow 🥰

I think we all easily accept the HC that Tech has your cycle memorized because ofc he does. It’s a pattern, and he would pick it up easily. And because he’s Tech, he’s accounted for a margin of error, but he can usually tell if it will be early or late based on your eating habits, stress levels, and activity. Things you need to make it through the week just appear in your bunk at the right time.

I also strongly think all of them have it figured out in their own way.

Sergeant “I can sense your imminent migraine before it hits take this space excedrin” Hunter, knows by the changes in your hormones, and subtle changes in your scent. ‘You’re running hot, you smell slightly different, and you just tried to fight Wrecker over a candy bar, let’s get you cooled down and an even bigger candy bar.’ Hunter’s usually soft with you, but you swear his voice is a lullaby when it’s that time.

Wrecker has figured out that around the same time each month, you eat nearly as much as he does, and your fuse is much shorter than usual. Wrecker’s great with explosives, so he knows how to handle you just right to prevent the detonation of your rage. He slides you extra food, asks if you need more, and generally treats you as a temperamental bomb that he adores. Sweets, fried things, salty things, sex? He’s got you!

Crosshair notices a subtle shift in your body language. The nervous, irritable tics that herald the imminent arrival of your period. The light shake in your hand, that wouldn’t be caught by the average person, the way your face twitches towards a frown before you catch yourself and fix it. And there’s your willingness to invade his space. Normally, you leave him some breathing room because he likes his personal space, but when you’re ovulating? Nope. You sit closer than usual, touch him more freely, and you’re damn near insatiable. He’s absolutely not going to admit it, but he’s all too happy to indulge you when you’re like this, and he even dials back on the sarcastic quips until you’re feeling your best again.

Echo knows exactly what’s going on, and he’s the type to quietly fix problems before they can irk you. Quelling arguments before they can get to you, making sure your laundry is done, and even skipping you in rotation for watch, so you can rest. He pampers the heck out of you too. Massages, snuggles, making sure you have one of those face masks you like so much, and reminding you how gorgeous you are, and how much he loves you.

I hope that in season 3 we get to see Hunter, Wrecker and Echo comforting each other. They were always staying as strong as they could for Omega's benefit but now it's just the boys it'd be great to see them actually act like brothers for one another when they've lost SO MUCH.

- also i just have this headcanon that Hunter's got a pretty sensitive stomach and when Tech... Hunter threw up at the back of the cable car because his stomach twisted so bad and only Echo saw this.

-Hunter was vomming a lot from the heartbreak and anxiety and it was usually Tech's job to look after Hunter's health issues so Echo takes on this role and it makes them a LOT closer after their multiple desputes this season.

Magic Kingdom AU Headcanons: What they wear Tech Edition.

Did someone say pockets? Fashion be kriffed, the pants have pockets and he needs them. He also needs the backpack. Sunscreen, water, electrolyte packets, first aid kit, phone chargers, you name it he probably has it.

He also definitely has a Disney T-shirt, and specifically one from an underrated older movie. He can be talked into wearing mouse ears by Omega or his s/o.

(The Bad Batch) How He Is with His Newborn Baby

Hunter: He adores them and spends a lot of time holding them. Hunter is also really big on the whole skin-to-skin contact, so it becomes a common thing to see him walking around shirtless with the baby cradled snugly in one arm. He gets pretty good at performing tasks around the home with the baby. He's enraptured by the little one, but also very attentive to your needs. Hunter makes sure you take the time you need to eat, shower, and just have time to relax every now and then. Literally, any excuse to hold them some more, and he's giving it. He is good at rocking the baby in such a way that they fall asleep instantly in his arms.

Wrecker: The baby has him wrapped around their tiny finger already. He's already telling them how much he loves them and how proud he is. Wrecker also just spends time telling them all the fun things they're going to do together when they're old enough to walk, talk, etc. He is so unbelievably gentle and sweet with the little one in general, and also of course with you. He'll randomly stare at you and tell you how beautiful you are and what a good job you're doing.

Tech: This baby is not at the point where they can retain any information yet, but Tech spends plenty of time just talking to them. He talks about anything his mind can conjure up. The baby becomes so accustomed to the sound of his voice that it has quite the soothing effect. Additionally, Tech is very quick to pick up on the baby's cycle of needs. It gets to the point where they cry, and he can glance at his chrono and pinpoint exactly what they need according to the little schedule he's created. He also regularly checks the baby's weight, vitals, to make sure they're in good health. From time to time he voices yet again how fascinating the miracle of birth is and how proud he is of you, also checking your health.

Echo: Spends the first few weeks only holding the baby when sitting down. He can't get over how fragile they are, and he just sits there and stares at them as long as he can in amazement and adoration before they wake up from their nap or fuss about something they need. When the baby bursts into a fit of wails, he goes into a bit of a panic mode worrying about what's wrong. Eventually, he gets more comfortable and gets used to the idea that the baby is just communicating a need. It doesn't take long for him to become a professional dad. He gets pretty organized with the diaper bag and supplies so that he can just pull out whatever the baby needs at the drop of a hat.

Crosshair: He spends a good while just quietly holding the baby in his arms and watching them. Internally, he thinks they're absolutely precious and realizes he loves them so much. He already knew he'd love them, but he didn't realize it would feel like this. The baby is heart-wrenchingly cute, and he'd do anything to protect them. You come to find that he becomes more vocal, telling the baby in a sort of Crosshair-style sarcasm that they need to get their act together every time he has to handle a diaper change, feeding, etc. He's up with you at any hour day or night to help with the baby without a complaint, and regularly makes sure you're taking care of yourself also.
