It’s been 3 days already since I had my first full marathon. Until now, I still can’t believe that I did it. Every time I think of it, I can’t stop myself from crying. Maybe some of you will think that I’m over reacting but after all the experiences that I encountered, it will really make you cry. 😆 . I thought that my almost 2 years of preparation for the 42 KM run was enough but geez, I was wrong. It made me realized that if I am aiming for the bigger races, I need to prepare even more. Aside from that, this run taught me that you should be more tough when facing the challenges to achieve your goals; There’ll be no short cuts. You really need to work hard for it and once you achieved it, you’ll get that satisfaction feeling because you finish it with a heart. That’s why I can fully understand now the meaning of @runrio_inc ‘s hashtag “Heart To Finish”. . I also want to take this opportunity to thank the people who always supported me with my running. Thanks to my family for their “full force support” since day one and their presence during the event helped me a lot to finish this race. Thank you to my #TeamFunnerRunner most specially to my BB @donna2tsuki for always guiding me & for always pushing me until I unleash my best version. Thank you also to Coach @sixpackfitness77 for always making sure that I’m ready before my races & for helping me to improve my performance and above all, thank you to Our Dear Jesus for not leaving me alone in every challenges that I encounter. I always feel Your presence every minute, every second of my life. I love You, Jesus! ♥️ . Also, I want to dedicate this race to one of the Japanese bands that I truly adore, TOKIO. Their music became part of my life and timely their debut anniversary was the day before my race. So, this medal is also for you, guys! Happy 25th! 🎉 . Running a 42 KM is not an easy task but if you believe with yourself, everything is possible! I’ll be honest, this run was not that easy. I encountered exhaustion both physically and mentally during the run. There were moments that I want to surrender and questioned myself why I’m doing this. However, when I think of the main purpose of my runs and the people who keeps on supporting me, it gave me another strength to finish the race. I am glad that I didn’t give up and finished the race with a heart. It really proves that there are no shortcuts and need to go through hardships if you want to achieve your goal. Also, it gave me a realization that I need to train more if I am aiming for the bigger running events. . As always, I am very thankful to my family and friends who are always there for me; Most specially to our Dearest Lord for always guiding me. . The #TeamFunnerRunner joined the iconic “Stripes Socks Gang” a.k.a the Mcdonald’s Stripes Run 2018 to celebrate our first year in running! Like what I’ve always say to my run related posts here in IG, I am very thankful to my BB @donna2tsuki and to my friend, @kaggz116 for keeping this team inspired and motivated.
