It’s been 3 days already since I had my first full marathon. Until now, I still can’t believe that I did it. Every time I think of it, I can’t stop myself from crying. Maybe some of you will think that I’m over reacting but after all the experiences that I encountered, it will really make you cry. 😆 . I thought that my almost 2 years of preparation for the 42 KM run was enough but geez, I was wrong. It made me realized that if I am aiming for the bigger races, I need to prepare even more. Aside from that, this run taught me that you should be more tough when facing the challenges to achieve your goals; There’ll be no short cuts. You really need to work hard for it and once you achieved it, you’ll get that satisfaction feeling because you finish it with a heart. That’s why I can fully understand now the meaning of @runrio_inc ‘s hashtag “Heart To Finish”. . I also want to take this opportunity to thank the people who always supported me with my running. Thanks to my family for their “full force support” since day one and their presence during the event helped me a lot to finish this race. Thank you to my #TeamFunnerRunner most specially to my BB @donna2tsuki for always guiding me & for always pushing me until I unleash my best version. Thank you also to Coach @sixpackfitness77 for always making sure that I’m ready before my races & for helping me to improve my performance and above all, thank you to Our Dear Jesus for not leaving me alone in every challenges that I encounter. I always feel Your presence every minute, every second of my life. I love You, Jesus! ♥️ . Also, I want to dedicate this race to one of the Japanese bands that I truly adore, TOKIO. Their music became part of my life and timely their debut anniversary was the day before my race. So, this medal is also for you, guys! Happy 25th! 🎉 . Running a 42 KM is not an easy task but if you believe with yourself, everything is possible! Had a hard time finishing the race earlier today. Aside from the heck route (good heck), it was because of my (usual) wrong choices in life (this time was on socks). It was hard having to run with blisters on your feet at the first 2 kilometers of a 32km race. I was running weird. Also I got slightly dismayed of losing some minutes to get medics fix your feet. But hey, clichè but, no pain no gain amarite. Didn't let the 'damnation' stop me from reaching that finish line. I just wished then that my body won't give up on me (and you as well. kek).
