TEAM PROGRESS: We made a significant amount of progress towards the climax of the game. We implemented a partially functional version of Leg2 and the School level is fully implemented.

INDIVIDUAL PROGRESS: I worked on the School puzzle level and layout, and developed high quality prototype art assets for the entire level, merging it with @chockiedev's art. I also started development of puzzles required for the final boss stage, Hospital.

I also worked on the mandatory point and click puzzles and fine tuned the difficulty through playtesting. REFLECTION: We got the climatic parts of the game down but due to time constraints amongst other issues beyond our control, it may not be possible to complete our original vision; alas, we might merge Leg3+Hospital into one or find alternative approaches to finish the narrative.

Leg2: FRA - MCT

On account of spotty functioning of the Airco, decided to decamp early out of my hotel (though to be fair (to the airco, though quite why I feel compelled to be so is a question for another day), it had to deal with a burning sun on a load of glass.......as well as an old git with elevated temperature after a very sedate early-morning jog (which was sort of nice in a post-apocalyptic industrial wasteland sort of way, if only because it afforded me a few glimpses of the river -- I turned back when, beneath a viaduct the effin’ rozzers turned up (actually pulled up next to me) to ask me if I was ok? Frankly, I nearly cacked my running shorts.......so, NO? I guess it was well meant?)) and re-locate to the lounge pictured (below?) which has a cracking view of a motorway & motorway overpass, excellent scrambled eggs (surprise #1 of the day), good dark German bread rolls and cheese. Also the friendliest barkeep in the world who offered me an Orange Juice & Vodka (now, normally, I’d say “whatthehell” and go for it (if only to mollify the man & indulge his diligence) but given the very recent breaking of the alcohol fast, I demurred (very respectfully, of course). Most importantly the air is just beautifully conditioned!

Why this obsession with cold air? As I’ve got older I either run hotter or my capacity for regulating my body temperature has diminished (at the end of a gym session I pant just like a dog, short & ridiculously loud). I’ve also noticed that as I’ve got fitter (& leaner -- or, at least, less fat!) I perspire quicker than previously: now perspiration in the right setting/context is seriously cool (when exercising it’s clearly an indication of extra effort) but when faced with 24hrs of flying, not so. 

Combine the body-temp issues with the early onset of hotness in Europe and “hey presto!” things get gnarly quickly -- Europe, after all, is built for cold not heat and the capacity for buildings/villages/towns/cities to dissipate the stuff is limited at best (as evidenced with the swathes of very white flesh beneath parasols). Unsurprisingly, the call for NZE is a whole lot more advanced here than it is in Australia (though this is in part because we Aussies are used to greater extremes of temperature than 30c, it’s also because we’re a myopic insular bunch).

Oh, did I mention the need for excellent coffee? In fact, it was so good I’m contemplating a 2nd one?

And then, lastly, I have a bunch of admin to do and the internet here is just better (won’t overplay the admin, a large chunk is a matter of downloading some films and tv-series from Netflix.......I’m setting up for a big binge).
