Hello yall!

Guess what!

During next week's splatfest I will be on Team Palace, so I drew this piece :>

Kind of messy but eeeh

Alright listen up!

As someone with sensory issues and hypotension, I can't go to amusement parks or the beaches, so the palace is the best option for me. Plus palaces are beautiful! And have AC.

been thinking a lot about this next splatfest...

beaches be full of sand, which we all know is coarse, rough, irritating, and it gets everywhere. also its pushing 110°F where i live, so beach is a no go

theme parks are already super fun as is, and reserving one means no crowds and no lines which fixes two of the main problems about the theme park experience. . . if only it was autumn, crisp, cool, cozy, and my preferred theme park visiting time. but its summer, and its pushing 110°F where i live, so theme park is a no go

palace = indoors = air conditioned. think of it like renting out a mansion or staying at some sort of luxury hotel. no heat exhaustion, no sensory overload, its basically just the "i'd rather stay in" option

summer is getting waaaayy too hot (110+ degrees hot) to go outside, and palace is the only option w/ consistent access to air conditioning

Shiver in front of Bojnice Castle!

Me rambling, some credits for all my references, etc, under the cut.

Since the splatfest is near, I got this brilliant idea to draw our beloved Shiver (SHIVER HATE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON THIS PAGE) in front of a castle from my country (a castle prolly bc we don't have any palaces around here ig¯\_(ツ)_/¯)!

This....thing was PAINFUL AND I MEAN IT!

Was originally debating on drawing her in front of a castle from the side of Slovakia that I'm from (for ex. Spiš Castle, Šariš Castle to name a few in my proximity), but all of those happen to be just RUINS, RUINS.....AND MORE (RUINS)!!! So u instead chose the one I like the most :3

In all honesty, I thought that I would be having the most problems with the sky, but it ended up being the only part that I'm genuinely somewhat proud of lollllll (on what crack was I on while making that sky...)

If you can only reserve one place for a day, wouldn't the obvious choice be to get pampered at a Palace? Then again, no lines at a Theme Park is hard to pass up... but an exclusive Beach day would be the ultimate flex! Reservations are filling up fast, can't spend long deciding!
