Book Seven: Dark
Synopsis according to TDP Wiki:
Following Sol Regem’s destructive rampage on Katolis, which saw the death of Viren, Claudia has been manipulated by Aaravos into freeing him from his prison, against the wishes of her boyfriend Terry.
Meanwhile, while Rayla had successfully revived Runaan, her friends Callum and King Ezran were left devastated to learn of the fate that befell their home.
With Aaravos now free from confinement, and with Claudia by his side, the world is now forced to face the great threat that has been pulling on their strings for a thousand years.
I am not okay people, and I cannot wait.

Interesting how Claudia is taking center stage for this new key art for TDP season 6
Could it be teasing that we're gonna get lots of Claudia developments this season? I mean I guess that was already pretty much inferred but... this teaser got me hyped for Claudia to be explored quite a bit.
And it doesn't look like it's gonna be a fun time... judging by her face...
Perhaps she will hit rock bottom this season, or finally start her path towards getting better.
Or perhaps they're leaving that for season 7? It IS gonna be "dark" after all, seems like a great opportunity to bring Claudia (a dark mage) to the side of the protagonists.

As a girl eagerly counting down the days until July 26th, I've made up a list of shit I want to see happen in season 6 of the dragon prince that I do in fact expect everyone to care about:
1: Janaya janaya janaya janaya I just love themmmm (buuuttt they both have to stay alive).
2: Speaking of janaya, i know there's a chance we get a wedding this season, which i wouldn't be opposed to. If we kept humans and elves as the main conflict like we did in the first three seasons, I'd say they should have it at the end of the show, but it feels more like aaravos vs the dragaang at this point, which...
3: More characters with more to do! In the first dragon prince, we had a bunch of minor characters (the other monarchs, prince kasef, opeli and corvus, nyx, ethari, a shit ton of soldiers, etc.), do things that affected our main characters in plenty of ways, which made it feel like there was a whole world out there being affected. Now, it's not that there are NO side characters affecting the main plot, it just feels so centered on the aaravos plot. I feel like they should have kept a bit more "elves and humans need to unite and move forward to defeat aaravos" but it's fine. I still like the show.
4: Rayllum making up. Not necessarily in a romantic relationship, though I would EAT THAT UP if it happened, but, if they haven't gotten back into their romantic relationship by the end of season 6, they should clearly be well on their way there, and we should know how they both feel about it.
5: De-coining. They've been trapped in there long enough.
6: I kind of want to see viren well and truly dead, just because of the downward SPIRAL it would send my girl claudia into. But I also feel like he has more to offer? I know we have a clip of him doing SOMETHING this season, but that could be a flashback. Idk. I feel like him voluntarily giving up power, and his own life, was a good ending for him, and the way claudia reacts in that first teaser we got definitely makes it seem like he's dead? But I also kind of want him to have a meaningful interaction with the other characters he's affected--rayla, callum, ezran, obviously; I kind of want to see what would happen if he realizes how far gone claudia is, joins the dragaang with the belief that he can save her from aaravos, and somehow meets janai? I feel like they've always had really strong writing for viren, though. So I'm trusting you, tdp writers.
7: Terry turn away from Claudia. This could turn into him trying to sabotage her, straight-up leaving, becoming a double agent, whatever. But he can only delude himself for so long.
8: I want the sunfire elf conflict to end and for them to help fight aaravos (he killed khessa and corrupted lux aurea, okay? They deserve to help beat him). I'd also be fine with them wrapping THAT conflict up somewhere around the middle of season 7, but I don't want them dragging it out all through to the end of it.
9: The key of aaravos should become more important. I get that it was essential to callum figuring out primal magic, but also, we've had it since s1 ep4, and it's still very distinctly in callum's possession. What else is up with this thing?
10: Janaya (again) being badass war generals. We all saw them in the first three seasons, right? Amaya was fully ready to kill a teenager (an elf, but still), in her first episode. And also kicked down a door and won my heart. She threw multiple elves into lava. Janai took over amaya's fortress thing and tried to kill her for a good bit of her screentime (I wish they would emphasize janai being strategic a little more. Like...she would've HAD that stronghold if that soldier didn't start using sign language). THEY led the defense of the storm spire!
11: ANDDD speaking of janaya, one last thing: I want the human soldiers respecting janai, and the sunfire elves recognizing Amaya as their queen. Even just a "your radianceS," plural, or something. She's going to be their queen--consort, i guess, technically, but still. I feel like we haven't gotten a big enough sense of that.

It's been a while since I posted anything, but I'm still keeping up to date with TDP stuff.
The teaser for season 6 is hooking me. I can't wait to see more. But I hope Aaravos is more threatening this time, or there is some other good threat this season. Book 6 stars. Whoo-hoo!
As for the game- I was one lucky enough to be a part of playtesting it and can confirm that it is fun and I will be playing it more on its full release.
But the clips before the game trailer probably showed off more of season 6 (+7?) than the teaser, and that Kaiju thing? A massive monster? Astounding.

Inanimate objects Important to TDP S7
The puzzle cube. It was inevitable that we were going to be seeing more of this after it's introduction, but also, after seeing what it's for in S6. So I think that we'll also be seeing the book that it hails from. The question is, will it be something that Aaravos is after, or will it be something that Callum discovers and uses against him?
2. Dragon Scale Amulet. Aaron Ehasz confirmed that this amulet is connected to Laurelion, the Startouch Elf from the poem (in which the gang discover the story of the Nova Blade). And we've seen it so many times that even before learning of this I knew it had to be for something! So now the question is... what?
3. The Nova Blade. Sure, it could have been a plot device to make them travel to the Celestial Elves. But the Quasar Diamonds already were that! Which makes me think that this will come into play again, even if it's not the thing that's used to defeat Aaravos.
It's described as "ivory draconic brought death's bite known ever forth as Novablade," and combine that with the previous item on this list, the Dragon Scale Amulet, and I can't help but think that the two are connected.
4. Staff of Ziard. According to the official wiki, the Relic Staff is an "elven crafted relic" (I believe by Aaravos). It lso sayd that "Although the staff is primarily used to amplify and strengthen dark magic spells, it can also be used as a catalyst for Aaravos's spells to be used by Viren. It is said to hold even greater secrets."
"There are seven other staffs identical to it in the Zenith of the Star Scraper. Although, while this staff has a purple stone, each of the other staffs has a gem of different colors embedded in them. Notably, there is one empty space among the eight pillars where the staffs are mounted."
Not only do I think this staff will play a role in the next season, I also think that we'll discover more about the other staffs. Especially knowing that Astrid will be playing more of a roll in the next season, she'll probably have answers for these questions!
5. The Cursed Coins. My personal theory is that Aaravos will be trapped inside the coin, as they cannot kill him. And beyond that, I also think that there's a good chance the last Quasar Diamond will be used to free Kpp'Ar from his cursed coin.

EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT TDP S7
Compiling it here for all to peruse! Spoilers under the cut.
The Season Synopsis is as follows:
Aaravos is out in a big way! It’s not too late to catch up on The Dragon Prince before the season 7 culmination and climax of the great fantasy saga. As Aaravos and Claudia seek to destroy the cosmic orderand invert life and death, our heroes must literally be ready to sacrifice anything and everything they love and believe in to save the world! This season will be more thrilling, magical, and heartbreaking than ever.
Episode 07x01 breakdown: by Reel James and Cartoon Universe (compiled on Tumblr by the amazing @raayllum thank you!)
Sorens says "there's nothing I could do" while sobbing.
Rayla refers to Callum as “the human I love” to Runaan.
These both take place somewhere within the episode one breakdowns above.
The scene from the teaser also takes place in 07x01
And we got this stunning image from the NYCC panel and after, the official Dragon Prince accounts:
Lies hide in the shadows, but the darkest truths hide in the light.
The S7 teaser images are as follows;
(^ this image was confirmed to take place in episode one ^)
We've been told that this amulet ^ is connected to Laurelion, the same Startouch Elf that mentioned in the poem The Death of the Immortal.
The following is from @raayllum's interview with Aaraon Ehasz, which can be found here. Go give it a listen!
Season Seven starts with Karim and his army imprisoned by Janai.
"Terry is a really special character and if you watched him, he’s so good, and what we’ll find out is, he is — there is an episode called TRUE HEART and he is someone who has a true heart. It’s very impossibly rare and special — but also we all understand what a true heart is in some way and we’ll learn a little more about that. But yeah, the question of what will Terry do, what can he do, is difficult because he has a very strong sense of right and wrong, but he has a very deep capacity for love and he loves Claudia with all of his heart. Where does that present an impossible conflict, it may… we’ll see a challenge."
When Rayllum mentioned wanting to see more about the origins of dark magic and Elarion to which Ehasz repled: "Great".
Punishing the Cosmic Council is more "complicated" than punishing Sol Regem for Leola's death.
He also hinted that things might change for Aaravos, and that one of the things doing that might be his relationship with Claudia.
Ehasz excited for the part of Ezran that has to cope with Runaan being back and the castle being destroyed.
Let me know if you find anything else and I'll add it!!

I love all of this and I hope to see so much Claudia content next season! I feel like the next part of her arc will be wildly intense in so many ways.
Please keep in mind that there is no official wiki for TDP, though. It's fanmade, like many wikis are, and the section quoted about Season 7's content lists no outside source. The text in the referenced section is partly a summary of S6 and partly an educated guess. I don't think any part of it is incorrect at all, but the wiki is not an official source.
God, is it December yet, is it November, is it October, I am jonesing for a teaser!
Terry - The Dragon Prince S7 Theories
According to the official TDP wiki Season Seven is about;
"Following Sol Regem’s destructive rampage on Katolis, which saw the death of Viren, a grief-stricken Claudia has been manipulated by Aaravos into freeing him from his prison, against the wishes of her boyfriend Terry."
I think there's a lot there to unpack there. And very important things to unpack for Terry's storyline. I already have a post about what I think will happen with Claudia in the next season, and I think that Terry will be a crucial part of this. So let's talk about him a bit.
I address "a grief-stricken Claudia has been manipulated by Aaravos" in my Claudia post. So let's focus on "against the wishes of her boyfriend Terry"
Claudia might not know that Aaravos was manipulating her, but Terry does. He even warns her. But she's so desperate for direction, so hurt by the loss of her father, that she doesn't see through Aaravos' manipulations and releases him anyway.
Terry had been there for Claudia through thick and thin, and he's always been able to see that no matter what terrible things she's done, she's had a reason. She's done it all for her family.
However dangerous.
However vile.
So I don't think that he'll leave her. Instead, I think that him standing by her is going to be part of what helps her finally choose the right path.
Terry doesn't use her need for direction like other people in her life have. She gives him every chance to, but he stands by her. Not by what he could turn her into. Or what talents of hers he might use. He's there for her, and I think he's going to help her learn to find her own direction and make her own choices. He's going to teach her to tell herself what to do.
This could happen in one of two ways, I think.
Terry will warn Claudia about Aaravos' intentions, continuing to do so until Aaravos begins to view him as a threat and attempts to turn her against Terry. Claudia may be tempted to choose Aaravos, but will ultimately choose Terry and someone who loves her just the way she is. Someone who wants to listen to what she has to say and what she wants to do.
Alternatively, Terry will pull a Soren. Let me explain this a bit more.
Rayla and Callum, even Ezran, have all seem to have given up hope that Claudia can turn good. But Soren hasn't.
I think that a possible storyline of the next season is Terry realizing that Claudia is being led further and further down a dark path, and going for help to lead her away from it. Because remember, he's met Soren and I'm sure he's heard about him too.
In Season Three, Soren helps Ezran, but remains by Viren's side.
I think it's possible that Terry will find our heroes and ask for their help, specifically Soren's, in guiding Claudia back from the brink of darkness. He'll stay by Claudia like he said, but to truly stand by her and try to protect her, he'll have to go behind her back to get help to save her from Aaravos.
After all, Claudia still has people out there who love her for her.
