I like kingdark in a comedic sense.

Like, King thinks he's just gotten lucky, when this super-powered, bitter, fuled by rage stick figure decides to come along with him and destroy a new world with him- but he doesn't take into the fact that The Dark Lord has never played minecraft.

And one doesn't just... not play minecraft. There's spiders, and flowers and redstone!! And oh Dark loves redstone! It's like another world that he has total control of.

So while a lot of King's plan succeeds with Dark's help, there's a lot of setbacks with Dark dragging him off to look at this cool house he's just made. Or this awesome trap he's made that will explode when someone trips it- and YEA he could just shoot fire at someone but LOOK!!! HE'S SPENT HOURS ON IT!!

And maybe just maybe Dark's excitement over this game get's king to feel enjoyment for it too.

Some thoughts about Dark's mission statement

A somewhat unrelated continuation of this post. More of a theory than my usual analysis walls, but...

Chosen was the one who deleted/suppressed Dark's mission statement.

Chosen is commonly associated with an antivirus, from being forced to be an adblocker for years. He was also seen to be able to stop the first Virabot with a cleansing (?) ability and was immune to Dark's code deletion.

When Chosen and Dark teamed up to crash Alan's PC, they started glowing and Dark seemed to get a power-up.

The Chosen One. Not all heroes defeat their enemies. It's just as common of a troupe as for the hero to bring about the villain's redemption, and that's what Chosen did here. He turned Dark against their creator and brought Dark over to his side. And by doing so, he burned the invasive code away.

Despite Dark's mission (mission.The_Dark_Lord = destroy(The_Chosen_One);), he was never particularly inclined to follow it. When he was dropped into the Minesweeper game, he decided to actually play the game. It's been shown before that the sticks could just break the game if they so choose- or, in Dark's case, fly out of it. Yet he decided to play the game instead of his mission.

Even when he got to the desktop, he called the other icons to do his mission for him.

He'd been half-hearted from the start. Sure, he'd been excited at first, but when he realized fighting Chosen wasn't what it turned out to be, he dipped.

Dark and Chosen saved each other. Without Chosen, Dark would never have been created or would have lived under a heartless creator like Victim had. Without Dark, Chosen would have never had the power to fully escape his creator or gotten a taste of true freedom ('though terrorizing websites is a bit too much, don't you think?).

jfc have never been this ill in my entire life. it's been 3 weeks, but the last one is just hell. at this point, i'm anxious to even sleep (can't do much because constantly coughing so hard, sometimes i puke)/lie down (and i have to lie down because of my back). every night, i'm just 🤢👍

started with a wet cough, and now i have lpr symptoms? my sense of smell/taste went away 3 days ago. constantly chocking, throat too dry and burnt. even my mouth and nose are. can't eat much, can't swallow, can't breathe, can't sleep. so exhausted. in the morning (sometimes at night as well), my vocal cords like to shut down, making me unable to inhale for some time (terrifying, wouldn't recommend)
