[i have since gotten over these worries and have decided to make it everyone's problem.]

[yeah this was a while ago when we got Frog Update. following this was an old version of how chain 2 met the main chain, which will be included under the cut at the end.]

it would also be fun to have the reveal happen as a result of rhythm sort of. snapping. hylia, he knows stopping the shadows is important and protecting people from the monsters they bring is part of the job and he knows damn well that he's not the only one missing home and the people there but part of him feels like his situation is worse than some of the others. he's not the only one separated from someone he loves, but he'd bet a hundred rupees he's the only one who might lose his chance at still having that love afterwards at least in the eyes of the law and their peers because as much as he cares for reti, he cannot continue the royal bloodline. sheila will always be the one the zora will think of standing by reti's side. even if he proves how much he cares and the people know the hylian is more than just a personal guard, that's all he may ever be in title. unable to show the full extent of his feelings in public, because it would be scandalous to be flirting with the king due to already having a queen and because of a disparity in rank. the longer he's away from home, the less time he has to prove himself to the zora people, and more importantly to the current zora king. and part of rhythm is terrified of it. even in sheila were to accept him as well, without the approval of the king, he would still be nothing more than a personal guard trying to court the throne. a personal guard that went back on his vow to protect the royal family of hyrule to serve the sea. a personal guard functionally unable to leave or find love because of the prince's gift, always able to be dragged back into the depths. he hates the thought.

[cw below the cut: canon-typical violence. wild meets chain 2 after they teleport to him during Sunset pt. 10. this is no longer exactly how things happen I think, I'm still sort of working it out...]

one of the sudden arrivals runs off after the horse, three are panicking, one's in a hood and not saying much, and--

oh. oh no. someone's bleeding. apparently they don't have any healing. one of the newcomers looks like a monster, though.

wild doesn't have a sword at the moment but he does have a stick. the moment he tries to strike, the injured one blocks the way.

it's hard to tell how much is blood.

"if you wanna hurt them..." the guy says, through pained breaths, barely supported by a spear. "you'll have to get through me."

it's at this point the injured guy collapses. more panic. the horse and the one who went after it come back and something bolts from the bag into the forest.

the one in the hood perks up but says nothing. then their head whips around and he sees red in their eyes.

"oh no" is all the stranger says. "the others are here."

the one who ran after the horse looks more annoyed. "please tell me you're joking."

"who are the others?" wild finally says something to them. "and who're you all, for that matter, and how did you teleport on top of me?"

"the others are shadows and we're heroes and we teleported with this!" one of the other creatures - a skull kid, if he remembers right - holds out a lute. "we were in a fight and one of them got a strong hit on link and--"

wild is already not having a great day and this really isn't helping, but he's not about to let someone down again. "we're not far to a town. there's people who can help there."

"really?"

he nods, not telling them he doesn't know for sure if they can help. if it's another case like twilight's... wild brushes off the thought and picks up this other link as best he can. "where're the shadows?"

the hooded one points towards where wild left the rest of his brothers.

they split off when they reach town. wild, other link, blue-hair, the fairy who was not a healer, and the small plant head into town, leaving red-hair, green-hair, hood, and the skull kid take the horse to meet up with wild's brothers and help deal with "the others".

the town group runs into the smith - his nickname of "four" makes a lot more sense now - who doesn't comment on the injured hylian or the broken sword wild tossed down before he ran off. no, his(their?) eyes are trained on hood, who isn't on the horse despite additional space. green hair looks back at the town group before snapping the reigns and they bolt off.

hood vanishes into the horse's shadow and four's eyes go wide. wider than wild felt his own going at seeing the same thing.

"are you sure there's space for him here?" blue hair asks, pulling wild's attention.

"positive," four murmurs, eyes fixed on the rapidly-disappearing horse.

"mhm."

"they why're we just standing around here?" the fairy gripes. "the sooner link gets help, the better."

the horse vanishes over the horizon and four finally gives the group full attention. "link?"

"that's his name, yes." the plant answers.

four's shoulders rise a little, but whatever he was going to say is dispelled with a twitch of the head. "are you... familiar with the shadow?"

"he's our friend," blue-hair says. "if it wasn't for him warning us, link would be dead right now."

the words sting in wild's ears.

"link isn't going to die."

four's words are as much reassurance for the strangers as they are for wild. even if he knows four is just as scared if the red one was anything to go by.

wild isn't going to let anyone die this time. not twilight, not any of his brothers, not this stranger.

he can't let anyone die this time.

TC Nickname Meanings pt.1

Here’s a list of the meaning behind each hero’s (and Zelda/counterpart’s) names:

Hero (Hylia’s hero, first of the hero's spirit)

Starting off strong we have Hero. He was the first mentioned in the Skyward Sword manga and the source of the Hero’s spirit that runs through every subsequent hero of courage. Coincidentally, his favorite food is also sandwiches.

This title was bestowed upon him by the goddess Hylia and carries a lot of weight for him so he goes by Hero. His non-Zelda counterpart is Hylia Herself, who simply uses Her own name.

Chosen (The Chosen Hero, hero of the skies)

Similar to Hero, this Link was the first chosen by Hylia’s reincarnation, Zelda. He simply goes by his hero title, granted to him by the sword spirit Fi, who he has yet to part with.

Chosen sees his Zelda not just a reincarnation of the goddess but also his true love, his light, his everything, his fated, his destiny. Thus he chooses to nickname her Destiny. She chose him but it was destiny that brought them together in the first place. He likes to tell the others it’s because it compliments his own nickname nicely, but everyone knows better. She thinks it’s sweet.

Mighty (Hero of Men, the mighty hero)

When he is gifted the goddess sword and forges it into the Picori Blade, he befriends the dormant sword spirit. She refers to him as a hero of great might and resolve and thanks him for granting her freedom. She shortens it to the mighty hero and the name kinda sticks.

He isn’t too close to the Zelda of his era, a valiant and headstrong woman who lead the operation to defeat the remnants of Demise. She's not the biggest fan of her given name anyway so she chooses to go by her middle name, Valorie. Their names also correspond to Might and Valor since they fought a couple of battles together (the sword spirit stuck to Valorie and aided her in combat instead of Mighty).

Mini (Hero of the Minish, hero to all great and small)

He’s small and gets even smaller. His grandpa always calls him squirt, jack, or mini. Mini doesn’t mind anyway so he just reuses that nickname around the other heroes.

His game is full of fairytale references and Zelda reminds him of the Princess and the Pea story so he nicknames her Pea. She thinks it’s silly and likes it, they joke around about it as kids do.

Hi! I'm Blazer, and I use He/Him pronouns. I'm a 18 y/o aspiring writer and game developer who wants to share my stories with others. And also scream about my ocs, or other story bits. I love fantasy and spend a lot of my time writing about it.

Currently, I have a few stories that I am currently working on, plus MULTIPLE that are more just W.I.Ps or ideas I want to explore when I'm done with those two.

Main Projects

🛡Tathylia Chronicles, an FE9/FE10 inspired SRPG made with SRPG Studio following a mercenary's son and a magical princess as they fight off an evil empire in two separate campaigns. The one I work on most often.

🌻Path to the Gilded Field, a novel about a girl who decides to go on a journey to save her mother from a plague, with the help of a lord, a knight, and a mercenary.

⛈️Dalgari: Thrones of Legend, a FE4 inspired game idea about the descendants of legendary holy warriors using their power and privileges as royals to bring peace to a chaotic world. I'm not currently in development, but I talk about it a lot anyway, soo...uhh...woops.

Side Projects/Lesser W.I.Ps

🔮Faelight: Glow of Faith, a story about the runaway heirs to a magical kingdom trying to stop a war from breaking out by sealing away magical weapons that could end the world.

☀️Heroes of Dawn, an RPG about a girl seeking adventure and freedom, being chosen by the goddess of fate to enact her will no matter the cost.

💥The Wyvern Rebellion, a story about a rebellious mercenary, a fortune teller, and a prince trying to take down an expansionist empire.

🌈Ardency, a story about a girl named Justine, who moved to a new city filled with people with powers based on their emotions.

But besides that, I have SO MANY MORE that I wanna share. So many....like too many.

Sooo....it's fe oc week! Apparently that's a thing!

I may not be a good artists, but you better believe I have my own oc's. I mean...they are for my own stories but I can very easily adapt them into FE

So let's give it up foooor.....

ASHA AND DINADAN

For convenience' sake let's say...their from both my personal story (Tathylia Chronicles) and from the Tellius saga(the games that inspired TC)

Asha Soliel Bouveile is a mage who wants to study the world's magical secrets and relics in order to honor her mother before her.

Dinadan's a mercenary who left his family in order to not dishonor them and now wants to gain strength, glory, and money to get them to forgive him.

During a battle in a port town (either Chapter 11 of PoR, or Chapter 6 of TC), they join the party. Asha is recruited first and she hires Dinadan, who she believes is capable of making sure she achives her goals.

They're relationship is similar to Erk and Serra, or L'arachel and Rennac, but...not romantic.

Hope you learn to like em.

dyed his hair green to differentiate himself from the other triforce heroes, hides his roots under his prized red cap with a clover on it

keeps a lot of Hytopian outfits on him and likes to mix-and-match outfit pieces for multiple small bonus effects (ex. Sword Suit padded tunic and cape for slight damage increase, Energy Gear belt for magic energy and stamina, Kokiri Clothes arm braces for 3-shot bow dexterity, Pegasus Boots for speed increase)

has mixed feelings about heroism but has mostly been going with the flow wherever the journey takes him

likes to experiment with magic items with his boyfriend, Ravio

him and Ravio live together with many pets including a bird (Sheerow), four snakes, and a beehouse behind the house

found out he is cousins with Princess Zelda (Mural) and they like to meet up for tea with Hilda and Ravio sometimes

also friends with the other triforce heroes, though they don't hang out as often

adopted: never met his mother, his father left when he was a teenager, and he was later taken in by the blacksmiths (first as an apprentice but Gulley is like a little brother to him now)

traits: friendly, artsy, cooperative, can be proud/cocky sometimes, not super dedicated, and has abandonment issues

likes: arts, music, pasta, bees

dislikes: strong smells, loneliness, the ocean

weapons: sword master sword, lots of magic rods (tornado, fire, sand, water, etc), magic nice bow, gripshot

fighting style: relies on a powerful arsenal of magic items and costume changes, prefers to use a magic rod with his sword instead of a shield, strong but pretty brash in battle

specializes in luck, fashion, teamwork, lifting heavy objects (or people), and channeling magic through items
