ok incoming ramble here so like. unless you switch to the forgotten's soul form you cant make much use of godhead because there's no aura around it. especially if youre tainted forgotten, the most you would benefit from it is a homing bone club and some damage, along with the downside of less tears and shot speed. so yeah, not really much of an exciting item to get as either character.

however, a few runs ago, i got godhead as tainted forgotten while also having the tainted treasure room mod on, so eventually i got its tainted counterpart.

so yeah. this item basically shares the same tears that dogma occasionally fires from the tv in its first phase. but how would this work with the forgottens?

in fact, it works really well with them! the next few screenshots below will show how the aura works with both of the forgottens' bone clubs!

so yeah. this implies that adding an aura to the forgotten's bone club IS possible. it's just that the base game doesn't grant this to the forgotten, despite the bone club functioning similar to a tear.

i hope that the code used for this aura could also be used for the regular godhead item so both forgottens can benefit from this more!

mod idea: make a mod that gives the forgotten's bone club godhead's aura. Please. hes been left out for so long
