garv (fishboy)
prima (tropey good guy)
vindicta (tropey bad guy)
ursa (dark magic bounty hunter)
ari (light magic bounty hunter)
urban fantasy/superhero
premise: a timeline that diverges several years before ours where a significant minority of the population across the world contracted strange illnesses that led to various magical powers; focuses on the Eastern United States (aka what im familiar with). themes of disabled justice and solidarity.
micheal (he/they): friendly college kid who always puts others before himself, teleportation powers
jem (any pronouns): an old self-insert, shapeshifting powers
ayaan (he/they): kid with unique powers that mess with the fabric of reality, of particular interest to the villain
emilia (she/her): sociologist studying how superpowered people interact with a society built for non-superpowered people, recently gained fire/energy/plasma powers of her own in an accident
saiorse (any pronouns): software developer and emilia's spouse. he does not have superpowers

eren (she/her): micheal's classmate.
haru (they/she/it): your average edgy 14 year old.
high fantasy: the world of An
premise: weird mix of some of the history i'm interested in, with a technological level of around the 1840s to 1860s? focuses on a governmental transition from absolute monarchy to parliamentary democracy and the greater inclusion of ethnic minorities in the political system and society as a whole. the people are sorta kemonomimi-hobbits with mammalian and insectoid features. also has eldritch shit going on in its magic system.
these are some of my oldest characters and have changed a lot, their original concept was a "five elements" thing and that still shows through.
the names are based on my conlang :> i didnt try to make the romanizations look pretty, just functional, so uhh ⟨v⟩ is a schwa and most letters correspond with IPA values but idk if thats accessible. here ill replace j with y and v with whatever letter looks best, you can see the mess of the "official" spellings in the tags. they dont exactly have a gender system like ours so pronouns are what i imagine they'd use if raised in our culture and language yk
baa'oni (they/she): activist reviving the long-suppressed/erased (idk what the right word is) life-related magic practices of their ancestors. name translates to "sundew"
lausa (she/her): noble who uses her position of power to help incite change, eventually becomes prime minister. romantically involved with baa’oni, causing suspicion and controversy. name translates to "shadower"
laanya (they/them): self insert. former water magic student reconnecting to it after trauma, also tries to get involved in activism. name translates to "river delta"
treyii (they/she/he): young and uncertain, pressure is put on him to achieve great things and they don't know where to belong. name translates to "sparks"
unnamed character referred to as "wind guy" (they/he): a vengeful prince with command over the weather.
star wars
premise: focuses on jedi fighting in the clone wars. i mostly made these characters in quarantine lol
aiya (they/xe): twi'lek anakin skywalker on a budget. padawan during the clone wars, becomes an inquisitor.
rakiss (she/they): mirialan; Aiya's fellow padawan and very close to xem. killed in O66
haalas (he/him): togruta; aiya's strict master, very loyal to the light side of the force itself and scared of losing another padawan to the dark side. survives O66, but is eventually killed by aiya, who blames him for rakiss's death.
malice (they/she/it): dathomiran zabrak who was the first padawan of haalas. left the order and turned to the dark side, but isn't with the Sith.
ekiv (she/her): rakiss's master, also a mirialan, and longtime friend of haalas. mom friend, but only because she's a people pleaser with massive gifted kid burnout. survives O66; assumes a new identity and learns how to heal.
hizta (any pronouns): tusken ex-bounty hunter who now runs a droid repair shop on coruscant. acquainted with aiya before and during the Clone Wars, aids the Rebellion.
penelope (she/they): human; old colleague of Hizta's. generally fairly cold and professional until you get to know them; actually very affectionate.
i also have some underdeveloped clone trooper OCs
hollow knight
cornu (they/them): HKsona. void-corrupted snail shaman capable of harnessing both soul and void magic.
unnamed fairyfly OC

deceived pt. 2
details: angst, albedo x gn!reader | cw: death / injuries / blood
word count: 1840 | part one !
note: do i like this? idk mixed feelings tbh — didn’t bother to add a picture for this one. but like here is part 2 as many requested
It’s been months since the day Albedo broke up with you. A relationship that Albedo didn’t cherish, as he states. As time continues to pass, your heart aches as you recall those joyful moments with each other. Your affectionate feelings still lingered on edge; holding closely to the past. The nostalgia had you at ease in times of distress. You’d still loved him. No words can express your desire to stop loving him. But what else can be done? You were nothing but a victim to his research. He used you and admitted it, after all.
Melancholy thoughts seem to be on your mind lately. You wonder how Albedo was doing, how he’s been, what he’d accomplished. You’d still cared, in fact getting over him wasn’t a no brainer. Everywhere you looked reminded you of him. His own essence loiter among commodities. The residents of Mondstadt and Dragonspine didn’t assist in your healing; the reminisce of the things you two did together: exploring, sketching, finding materials, indulging the savory dish of Sunshine Sprat. He taught you how to recreate this dish, lecturing you how to properly cook the salmon.
“You make sure that the salmon becomes a dark orange and stiff,” the blonde whispers as he observes you flipping the meat over the stove. You nodded, eyeing the salmon carefully, letting out giggles in response.
“I can’t believe we’re so focused on salmon ‘Bedo.”
“Hm, you think so?” he answers in an amused tone.
Whenever he shows you his special dish Woodland Dream, the prince himself had a smiled painted in his eyes. Indeed proud of himself with his culinary masterpiece. He describes the dish to be sweet and tender — a blooming flower with each bite. You can still remember the tangy flavor that danced on your tongue. Despite this savory dish, this prince seemly has a sweet tooth. To him, he finds the sugar rush that washes throughout his body quite pleasant. A childish nature that you didn’t expect yourself.
“You find it pleasant... a sugar rush?”
He was hesitant averting his eyes from your stare, “Well the ‘hyperactivity’ feeling, gives me a boost in energy... It's refreshing.”
“Hm, okay..” you smiled. How cute.
Those wistful moments will remain to be daydreams of your little mind. It was a facetious act he pulled to test you. With the little hope you were attached to, you hope maybe Albedo didn’t mean what he said. At least a little.
You didn’t bother going to Sucrose or Timaeus for your answer to your questions. Your relationship wasn’t public and doubted anyone would understand. Moving on shouldn’t be onerous, it’s not compared to your daily tasks. Ugh, you sighed in frustration.
You were exploring the land of Dragonspine, wondering to find new discoveries. Despite Albedo’s influence to pique your curiosity of Dragonspine, your shrewdness needed to go beyond your understanding. It’s been a while since you stepped foot in the land of snow. Not after how much of his essence remained for your little heart.
You trudge up along the path of Dragonspine, slowly recalling the time you had with Albedo. The crunching of the white snow underneath your feet, digging deep in the ground. The noises you can hear over the screeching winds. A path of fresh footprints laid behind you, displaying where you came from — not where you’re heading. In honesty, you don't know where you’re heading. All that was known was that you are going somewhere. Discover something. Get your mind off of him.
The Adventurers’ Guild was still trying to post expeditions and catch the eyes of others. Though many adventurers have turned down these pleas. The cold condition was much too dangerous for them to handle, proper preparation was needed but expensive. Dragonspine was menacing for their safety and that was understood among the citizens.
You briskly rubbed your hands for warmth. The icy winds swirled and sighed around you, sweeping against your skin. Sending chills throughout your body, the fabric of your clothing keeps you warm. Warm enough to make you at ease with the temperature, but not your cold thoughts of gloominess.
“[y/n], you need my coat? It’s quite cold today, I wouldn’t want you to freeze,” Albedo sighs with the hinges of concern, already starting to slip off his coat.
“Huh, you sure, what about you?”
A slight curve plastered on his face. An expression you don’t usually see besides his familiar blank expression. “Yes, I don’t exactly get cold and of course I insist.”
He placed his coat on top of your shoulder, instantly feeling the warmth. The soft fabric rubbing against your cold skin. Your nose was occupied with his scent, filling you with wonder and interest. At times, his scent would be simple than complex. That day it was simple, calming and reassuring you with solace.
You looked up to the sky, it was filled with ominous mackerel clouds. The dark sky was kissed by the high mountains and bare trees. The sudden wintry breeze whooshed passed you, overwhelming your body. You were missing the sunlight spilling its rays among the land of Mondstadt. How much time has passed? Who knew you would be homesick after wandering in the land of Dragonspine. And Albedo’s company, you couldn’t grasp the fact that he’s no longer in your life. The warmth and bliss of both the recollection of fond memories. Face lit up, feeling your own embarrassment in your cheeks.
It’s been months, why can’t you get over him?
“Ya!” the strange noise alerting you. You looked frantically trying to find the source of those gurgling sounds. It was deserted, the possibility of small rodents roaming around the area is surely high — no wait; trying to think rationally. Then finally you see a monster camp right in front of you.
You were ready to whip out elemental reactions and attack — oh no. Your vision illuminated its bright color. Still, nothing was released and hilichurl fighters were running at you. No way you were going to stand with this commotion, resorting to run for your life. As you huffed and puffed, accelerating your speed. The cold oxygen filling up your lungs, fingers were numb. Vision started to get foggy, decreasing your pace. You gaze down to notice red blood drizzled on the white blankets of snow.
Blood?
You felt the arrows that shot your head and leg. It must have been the hilichurl shooters. There were gashes on the back of your head and leg that began to rip you with pain. You touched the back of your head and felt the wet blood. With the energy in your had left, you continued — you looked back to see blurs of mitachurls with huge axes. Axes that can slice you in half. Your head and thoughts were swirling, unable to focus. Numbness seeped through your legs — stability was lacking. You were trembling, feeling your own body was out of your control. The snowy scenery swayed underneath you as your vision bathed in black spots. You collapsed in the snow, unable to pick yourself up. Legs and head were throbbing with agony and anguish. Pain that you never thought could exist, groaning in pain. The urge to scream came to you but no noise came out of your tired lips. You pushed yourself to crawl, eyeing a tree. Glancing back to see the monsters were leaving you alone. In the vast distances, struggling to hang on to dear life. Faint soft footsteps were heard, the soft slushing of the snow. Must have been an echo or from your imagination. Left alone suffering in the sub zero condition. Your mind was so foggy, eyes half-lit before seeing a glimpse of a familiar figure along the path. It was a blur of colors, you squinted in attempts for a clearer image. Just before you could make out what or who it was, darkness swallowed you whole; lying face down.
“[y/n]!”
You blacked out, unconscious in the cold.
Albedo came running towards you, surely was shocked to see your body stiffly laying there. But noticing your wounds and the wet blood on your clothes — he had to take action. Still seeing that your vision was glowing, he didn’t worry as he checked your pulse. You were bleeding profusely, as Albedo swiftly wrapped you up with cloth he had on him. No words can explain how Albedo felt, as he threw your arms on his shoulders and back. Lifting your body up and holding on to your thighs; securing you.
Albedo felt your pulse, beating with each running step. His pace started getting quicker, the desire to keep you alive. Not sure what to think of it besides the want to face you. His thought process was incoherent and he wanted it to be resolved.
Little time.
After sending you off, Albedo handed back to his camp, straight back to work. Focusing was an issue though. He had mixed feelings of frustration, unsure what these feelings could mean? He hoped you would be alright, but again, why would he care? Ever since the end of your relationship, Albedo noticed that he’s more sensitive than usual. Reactions seemingly to be more livid, stronger. New unfamiliar emotions that he can’t wrap his head around. This all left him at a dead end.
He felt himself drowning in his own unwanted guilt. The princely blank face wasn’t there, instead contrasting it was the void of such strong rage. Teeth clenched, eyebrows arched. Face painted with pain and remorse. The look on your pale unconscious face... What was the source? His body heats up from this confusion, slamming his gloved hands on his desk. Palms sweating, soaking the leather, as he tossed them off. Papers and documents were flying everywhere, his arms swinging with tension.
Is this what you're doing? It must be.
Maybe as a vision bearer, you found a way to manipulate others. Nonetheless, Albedo needed answers. But with your crucial state, are you going to be alright?
Albedo never felt this rage towards anyone: his master, Alice, Klee, Sucrose, Timaeus, The Knights of Favonius...
If only times were different.
Weeks, months had passed, you were pronounced dead from your fatal wounds. On your deathbed, the glow of your vision had dimmed to a gray color. You were truly gone. Word got out and Albedo couldn’t pull himself together. Your death has left a void in many lives and memories.
If only he cared.
The blonde was choking with despair, gasping for a change... hope. As he flipped through the sketches of you, he stared blankly at your face. The little details that made you, you. He repeatedly muttered incoherent words: If only, if only.
There it was a sketch of you and your smile, if only he could see it one last time. He sighed, letting his head drop. His blonde hair was unkempt as he exhaled heavily.
Once that first tear fell on the paper, more followed.
If only he loved you.

historical simblr tag game
i’m pretty sure @cassimopeia tagged me a million years ago, and i have no idea who’s done it already, so i’ll tag ... @simming-in-the-rain and @funkyllama and literally anyone else who sees this and wants to join :^) more of you should be history simmers, so like ... get on it !
1. what has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?
oof ! i loved the 1890s-1910s because i got to live out my gilded age dreams with the og generation of my legacy family—as i say every day, i can’t wait to catch back up to them, whenever i finally do more casual gameplay. the bancrofts are technically stuck in the 1840s and 2010s. looking forward to getting through the civil war era ! as far as the story is concerned, i’m fantasizing about the fifties and sixties but also someday reaching present day ...
2. do you have a favorite piece of historical cc?
hm. this is too hard. can i just list my favorite creators instead ?? everything by happylifesims gilded-ghosts, and linzlu make me immeasurably happy.
3. who is your favorite sim currently?
beatriz. she’s spicy, a lil unhinged, a big meanie. goddess.
4. what is your favorite world?
windenburg or sulani? i used to hate oasis springs but then i decided to set my story in a desert-y place for some godforsaken reason, so it’s growing on me. brindleton bay or whatever it’s called is, for me personally, also v/ underrated. 5. are you more gameplay or story focused?
story, tragically ! i miss gameplay, but i also feel like i won’t be able to avoid using poses and stuff even when i decide to return to my legacy gameplay. EXHIBIT A. 6. do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?
there are a few in my legacy gameplay; the ... second set of founders who are actually the real founders had a dog whose name i forgot, and talullah has a cat called sugarplum. jered and his family have a dog, who’s actually francesca’s, and his name is damien. i always forget about the pets, which means my sims forget about them, and so i don’t involve many. love to make them chase after strays tho ... 7. what's your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?
echoing tara that cell phones SUCK. honestly, tho, it’s probably when ugly townies i forgot to delete wander into the frame. makes me livid, u kno. 8. what's your favorite in-game historical item?
idk what this question means bc it’s 5:30pm on a wednesday BUT i like the clothesline and the wash basin from laundry day or whatever it’s called. 9. what would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?
uhhhhhhh ... more non-western build items ? it’s limiting when it comes to worldbuilding ! 10. what pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?
tbh, i feel like there’s not one that i would miss for history-related reasons. the laundry day stuff is helpful, like i mentioned, but idk ... 11. do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?
this is random and more a general gameplay thing, but the one that lets you make groups bigger without earning points or whatever is ... so good. i put all of my family members in a group, and then i can make them have family get togethers all the time ! i honestly haven’t done gameplay in so long, i’ve forgotten how to answer this question. 12. what's your ideal family size for playing?
five or six, i guess? enough that i can despise one of them, periodically ignore them, and alternate between who’s my favorite of the week. i get bored if i don’t have enough family members to mess with, which i think is why i like to keep track of the extended family. 13. do you use poses?
with the story, absolutely ! with my legacy stuff ... originally, no, because i was doing purely gameplay stuff and only sharing screenshots with my irl friend. more recently, i’ve done some staged posts with jered, so i guess somewhat? when i actually play with my legacy saves, no poses. but, like i said, that might change going forward bc i’m obsessed with them. i have a whole storyline to play through anyway, so like ... insert kissy face emoji.
14. do you use any overrides in your game?
probably ?? my mods folder is a mystery to me, i s2g
15. do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?
never tried it ! maybe sometime.
16. what lifespan do you play on?
long. i get attached ! occasionally i switch to normal. aging is off for story things since i move things along manually according to the pace of the story. the death of my legacy sims is always a whole entire affair, so i like to prologue it. for example, jered’s father was my main sim for literal years, so i had a few real human tears when he died dhsjkflgs
17. what inspired you to start playing historically?
downton abbey. :^)
#sleepwalking thru this bc i need to clean out my drafts#I MISS MY GAMEPLAY BABIES#tbh the only reason i don't mess with them#is because transferring the files from my external hard drive is hellish#sigh

I think the whole "tiny hips are attractive" spiel happened because gay men dominated the fashion industry. Het men like broad hips, het women like small hips in MEN. So my theory is gay men like small hips. Same w fashions love for skinny women with barely female characteristic - so skinny there are neither hips nor a bosom.
Nah tbh we can, as with most things, blame it on the 19th century.
You first start to see people talking about how to lose weight in ads in the 1840s, and by the 1860′s there were loads of products that boasted about being able to get you skinny.
It was seen as a moral thing; self control and all that. By 1890, not being skinny was associated with being lazy and morally loose. This continued to the 1920′s.
Also, as industrialization made standard dress sizes a thing rather than each person making or having clothes made to their measure, people became more aware that some people were thinner and some heavier. Ads for clothing started sowing the seeds that plague body image issues to this day.
By the 1920′s and 30′s, more people were working sedentary jobs and had access to more food, so being thin and toned was a way to show off that you had time and money to devote to exercise and diet.
Today, not a whole lot has changed.
Sadly, it’s more that people with like, breasts and hips are seen as being harder to dress, because there’s those inconvenient bumpy bits in the way and fabric doesn’t just hang straight down off of them than anything else. Hips ruin the lines of those ridiculous art piece runway looks, basically.

what YA book did you read? 😂😂 (so that i can avoid it if needed)
Look, I’m on book 2 of 3 of Annette Marie’s Red Winter Trilogy and I chose it because I wanted something light and mythology-oriented I could listen on my exercise bike, and it’s not bad, exactly, but it sounds unsettlingly & creepily like fanfiction? And I’m not really happy if I think this was published and marketed for teen girls?
[spoilers]
Like, for one thing - this possibly isn’t the writer’s fault, but a corner of my mind is unfortunately very aware of the fact this thing is a furry’s dream come true. Most characters have animal shapes but most of the time they’re humans - with fox ears and possibly a tail when they’re upset or annoyed. And I’m not an expert on Japanese art, but I checked and it looks like this is a modern interpretation of what kitsunes and other demons are supposed to look like. And as I said, maybe it’s not meant to be seen this way but if I read about a beautiful boy with fox ears, I’m seeing a furry. So there’s that.
Kitsunes in 1840:
Book concept art:
More importantly, there’s a lot of weirdness about sexuality. For instance, our [self-insert protagonist] is clearly dying to have sex with this (ancient & murderous) fox demon because he’s hot af and drips lust with every breath he takes, but this is never clearly articulated and I don’t understand why. Maybe it’s because it’s aimed at a teenage audience, but if so, the writer could have chosen to not describe excruciating horniness, like, every other paragraph? And there are other (and better) ways to talk about forbidden physical longing from the point of view of someone who’s too innocent to even know what she wants, anyway. Tracy Chevalier’s Girl With A Pearl Earring comes to mind. Plus, what’s deeply annoying is that the main reason [self-insert character] and Fox Boy can’t have sex is not because, uh, he’s a thousand years old and w.e.i.r.d. and out of his foxdamn mind, but because sex is inherently BAD and will RUIN this girl so much a literal goddess will never come to Earth and save everyone if she (the girl) is not a virgin anymore. Which - ew.
And on top of that, there are generous helpings of my least favourite trope in all of earthly existence - ‘My Unkind & Deeply Sarcastic Lover Who’s Only Decent To Me To The Point Of Stalking Hurts Me A Lot But Poor Darling He Can’t Help It’. This seems to have become okay with YA publishers and even a fan favourite after Twilight came down like an avalanche of gull shit on the whole genre, but this book clearly revels in it. I lost count of how many times this girl’s been scratched, bitten, hugged too tight, kissed painfully, even had her literal soul sucked out of her mouth by her immortal mammal lover, and it. never. stops. Just two pages ago, he even offered her to his friend so he too could suck some soul out of her, and tbh it was a bit disturbing. The fact the audiobook reader is perpetually out of breath and using a high-pitched tone that makes [self-insert character] sound twelve rather than sixteen makes it so much worse.
Anyway, I don’t know. I’m sort of not paying attention to this stuff so much because I’m old as the hills and have seen it all before, but I don’t think it’s exactly appropriate for young girls who’re only just experiencing their first relationships and learning what they should and shouldn’t tolerate from their romantic and sexual partners. I still remember a horrifying discussion I had with one of my students back in the day - this girl had zero experience of anything and was an avid manga reader, and once she’d raved on and on about some story which featured a slave girl and how she was mistreated and humiliated for, like, 84 volumes - but at the very end, her thin, witty, razor-sharp cheekboned master had freed her so he could marry her or some shit and somehow that minimal gesture of decency and barely moral behaviour had made it all okay. I tried telling her why I didn’t like it one bit, got nowhere.
Tbh this makes me appreciate Jonathan Stroud’s writing even more. I read two of his series and he never does stuff like this - not even once. He manages to write people with tragic backstories who’re real and complicated and ironic and partly traumatized and yet don’t act like dicks and hurt others ‘because they can’t help it’. I’m actually sort of worried by how normalized that’s becoming? Then again, I’m sort of worried about most things these days, so who knows.
#ask#annette marie#red winter#sorry if anyone liked it#i mean i'm liking it#i'm just a bit creeped out

“Lady In Waiting”
We all know that Cassandra is Rapunzel’s Lady In Waiting, and most people have a...basic understanding of what that entails. (take care of the person they serve, duh). However a lot of what it means to be in this position can explain some of Cass’s behaviors. We need to answer some questions about the job, though.
1.) What exactly does a Lady In Waiting do anyway?
Well we don’t really need to look at what they would historically do for answers to this one, I mean we see Cass perform her duties in show.
We see Cassandra do things such as sewing, washing clothing, and just generally cleaning up the place. Now I found this a bit odd since, from what i’e a Lady In Waiting is generally supposed to solely take care of, from what i’ve gathered at least, one member of a royal family, and while Cassandra is the one person on the staff who does take care of Rapunzel, she also seems to serve everyone else around too. She’s been shown sewing and cleaning dresses that clearly don’t belong to Rapunzel- or even Arianna for that matter- and she cleans up after everyone in the castle as well. It's pretty clear that she’s not only Rapunzel’s personal Lady In Waiting, but kinda just a handmaiden in general who serves the whole royal family and maybe even some other people too. Cassandra not only cleans and sews and brushes Rapunzel’s hair and get’s her ready for things, etc, but she also serves as a personal confidant for Rapunzel. Of course that could just because of their friendship, but with her responsibilities and all, taking time to help Rapunzel with things that probably aren’t in her job description, as well as offering advice....well dealing with Rapunzel’s personal problems probably add to her workload tbh.
2.) Where In Society Does The Princess’s Lady In Waiting Rank?
Well, the truth is, from what I've gathered, the Lady In Waiting of a princess tends to be a noble woman. However I have to think that Cassandra may be an exception to that. First off, just look at her parentage. Yes, she’s the daughter of the Captain Of The Royal Guards, which I could say would raise her ranking, except for the fact that Tangled is clearly based on Germany, and while the exact year isn’t clear, and I've seen numbers ranging from 1780-1840, you have to realize, in Germany actual adoption wasn’t actually a thing until the year 1900. Well, adult adoption and simple adoption, that is. Full child adoption was not a thing until 1970, which is certainly outside of our time range by quite a long time. Which means it’s highly likely that Cassandra wouldn’t be legally recognized as the daughter of the captain, but as an illegitimate bastard orphan with her only known biological parent being a known and hated criminal. So basically, there’s no chance Cassandra could possibly be considered nobility. In fact, her being considered an illegitimate child and an orphan could very well be how she wound up as a servant in the first place. Many orphans around this time period in Europe were only legally cared for by an orphanage (or a foster parent if they’re lucky, which would not have given them any legal recognition as having a parent, btw, so being fostered won’t stop you from being labeled a bastard. So while I do not doubt Cass could have been one of the lucky kids who were actually fostered since of course the Captain loves her as any parent loves their kid, legally speaking it does not make a difference, and so it would not make a difference class wise either.) until around twelve years old, and after that many of them were made to be servants wherever a servant is needed. Which could very well explain how Cass wound up as a handmaiden, since it doesn’t feel like the type of job she’d pick for herself, but it could very well have been chosen for her. Legally, in some areas of Germany, it was possible to adopt adults around the time Tangled could take place, however even if we say that somehow the stars aligned and Cassie was a very, very unlikely circumstance where she managed to get legally adopted by her dad and have all the benefits a legitimate ‘natural’ daughter would have (which is, by the way, very unlikely), she still wouldn’t be considered nobility. Royal guards aren’t nobility and their families certainly aren’t either. And there are only two types of servants I've heard of. The types that are just barely below their boss class-wise, the the types that are at the very bottom of the social hierarchy. Cassandra is, again, legally an illegitimate bastard orphan servant girl, so it’s just not looking good for her. And the people around her seem to agree.
Yes, neither of these are people within Corona, however they seem to use her title as Lady In Waiting to mock her. They’re warriors, and nobles are typically above warriors, so just this alone should solidify that Cassandra’s not the high class type of Lady In Waiting. She’s servant class all the way through. In fact, she’s lower than most people. Even back in season one her title is used to mock her, during Challenge of the Brave, people laugh at her for being nothing more than the princess’s servant and talk down to her. Cassandra is very clearly at the bottom the the social hierarchy.
3.) How much is a Lady In Waiting paid? Are they paid?
All my sources say they don’t make money. At all. Room and board are normally covered by their ‘employers’, but the sad truth is that they don’t actually have salary’s or wages...at all. At least in real life they don’t. And you could argue that maybe it’s different in Corona, since it’s only based on a real place, and doesn’t have to follow strictly the history of said place. However there’s literally no evidence that Cassandra is paid..anything. Not even a passing comment. I don’t think I've ever even seen her use money, to be completely honest? And she’s definitely not being paid during season two, even if she were in season one, which again, I doubt it.
Now anyone who thinks Cass turning against Rapunzel and the other’s, consider her other options. Continue to be an unpaid servant for the rest of her life or go move into a convent (there weren’t many places willing to hire bastard orphans who had a treasonous kidnapper as a mother). Tell me either of those were okay options right now. Neither was turning ‘evil’ but literally what did you want her to do? And she’s only doing bad things because she’s been coerced by someone taking advantage of her in her weakest, traumatized, confused state and manipulating her completely, which seriously, she’s so damaged that of course she’s an easy target for manipulation.
(People have been pointing out in the comments that these things aren't necessarily the same in Corona as in actual Germany since it's a fantasy show with a setting based off of Germany, and yes, as I said in the post, you can argue that things could be different in Corona, however most of these points are backed up, especially Cassandra being low class, when you really analyze the small scenes of the show and what they mean on a larger scale. I'm also inclined to believe Cassandra is paid like a normal lady in waiting (i.e not at all) since she lives in the castle and they were given room and board, just not actual wages, and since Cass is getting room and board and we don't see her get paid or ever hear it mentioned....one can only assume she's treated like any real life handmaiden would be)

This extinct animal of the week is the Great Auk! Despite its looks, the Great Auk is related more to a puffin than a penguin. It resided in the coats of North America and Europe on the Atlantic side and lived on rocky islands when it wasn’t in the water. They ate zooplankton and small fish. The bird is said to be extinct between 1840 and 1860, but the last recorded pair were killed in 1844 and the last finding was in 1852. I believe this last sighting was by three men, who caught the Great Auk, not knowing what it was, and tied it up and kept it alive?? Then there was a storm and they killed it believing it brought the storm, but tbh I don’t know.
Based on ancestor lineage and modern day relatives, the Great Auk was monogamous and had strong parental behavior, with an annual breeding season that took place in May through June or August. These birds would nest close to the water for access to food. The nesting sites were probably large, with colonies occupying a lot of space on the island. We believe baby Great Auk’s fledged within 9 days, seeing how there is hardly any record on hatchlings. Both parents would incubate their eggs.
Outside of breeding season, they hunted in small groups and were quite social. There is no record of the Great Auk communicating through sound, but there are descriptions of the Great Auk head shaking and bowing.
The Great Auk became extinct due to humans (of course). Because they showed little fear to humans, it is thought that the Great Auk had no natural predator. However, seals and polar bears could have likely been one. Some even hypothesize that The Little Ice Age exposed the rocky islands, giving better access to polar bears, and that their numbers were slowly dwindling before humans. Humans hunted them for their meat, feathers, and their fat to use for fuel. In 1553 it was officially protected and in 1794 Great Britain banned hunting the Great Auk. However, as you can see, this did not help their species in the end, but might have prolonged their populations.

A, F, G, M, S, T, V
THANKS AVERY.
A. If you could rec a piece of music to accompany one of your fics, what would you pick? Why?
Yakety Sax for Goosefic.
Alright, seriously? It’s totally not like I have a playlist or something stored anywhere, because that would be insane, right?
Illuminated by Hurts - Ah, Ça Ira. “Time waits for no one/So do you want to waste some time/Oh, oh, oh, oh/Tonight?” AKA “Ronan realizing that he might not make it back the next day and trying to get Laz to come to bed and reconcile with him, not necessarily because he wants to SLEEP with him, but because he wants his boyfriend there with him. “Swim with your sorrows/And try delusion for a while/It’s such a beautiful lie” Lazare frantically scribbling out his justifications on the paper, even though he has to KNOW that Artois’ going to abandon him and it’s going to be worthless. “Suddenly my eyes are open/Everything comes into focus/Blinding” GENERALLY I get Laz vibes from this line, with him gradually realizing how important Ronan is to him and that some part of him WANTS the new world that Ronan was, but the last few lines also work for Ronan’s (unstated, in-text, but there in canon) decision to charge in front of du Puget, realizing that he HAS to save Olympe from being orphaned like he was.
Either Dream of Sky (Dancing Line OST) or Forbidden Friendship (HTTYD OST) - Le Cri. Both of them have that sort of tentative, new feeling where things start out so soft and with that kind of innocence but as time goes on, it becomes so much MORE.
I’ve Seen Hell (North and South OST)/Ashes (Celine Dion) - Pour la Peine. I’ve Seen Hell is one of my go-to Period Drama songs, but I LOVE how it has that bleak feel while also not being COMPLETELY bleak and miserable, there’s that idea of PUSHING through in spite of it. And Ashes also kind of has a similar vibe, as far as openly asking how...there can be any GOOD after that kind of devastating tragedy (even though a part of me will always seen Ryan Reynolds doing interpretive dancing to it, tbh). Ashes is much more...RELIGIOUS in bent than Solène generally goes with, but I think it WORKS as far as that general feeling of despair and abandonment that she starts off with “Every word shot down in flames/What’s left to do/With these broken pieces on the floor?/I’m losing my voice/Calling on you”
Wicked Game - Personally, I favor it for A Pressing Matter, though it really works for Peyronan in general. “What a wicked game/To make me feel this way/What a wicked thing to do/To make me dream of you” AKA “Peyrol’s ENTIRE thought process when he realizes that, against his own judgement, he’s gotten attached to Ronan and that that’s a MAJOR weakness.
F. What stories are you planning for the future?
I have. So many WIPS that I’m DYING to release soon. One is very obviously the Fairy Tale AU, which I’m very pumped about. There’s the one that’s just called “Madame Roland is a Lesbian” that I’m excited for. At some point, I’m going to have to expand the Abomination and the Verse it encompasses, stretching from where we start off in the Beauce in 1777 to at LEAST the early 19th century, possibly into the 1840s.
Between the Waves is going to get a LOT more added to its Verse, hopefully. I already have at least two WIPS that are partially finished and give a little bit more context to things that are happening in the next few chapters, one from Olympe’s perspective on the pre-canon events that stretches to the post, one from Artois’ on some of the events of PLP, and I either have an Afterlife AU, a Reincarnation AU, or both to wrap it up, possibly with us ending up where we began. (No, not on Marat’s printing press.) I’ve also toyed with fleshing out a little more about how Peyronan got to where we see them in A Pressing Matter, to round out the series. Either way, though, I do intend for this to end up being a VERSE, not necessarily just one or two stand-alones. There’s a lot that’s...going to pop up here or there that I INTEND at least to expand on. I rarely like to leave things HANGING like that.
There’s also the Peasant Lazare AU which, even though it’s basically a laughing stock among my friends IRL at this point, is still very important to me and I’ve never fully given it up.
I’m definitely going to expand the Ripples in the Rockpool Verse, HOPEFULLY dipping more into the historical events that are happening around this time and a little more on how the OT3 ended up where they get to be in Back on the Shore.
There’s a Vampire AU that I’ve been toying with back and forth, and I STILL haven’t given up on The Zombie Apocalypse AU, though I’d like to focus on that one more when I have a fewer WIP count and I can more thoroughly outline it. Also @lehetsz-kiraly and I have toyed around with a Superhero AU that I would 100% like to see get off the ground, and I also am totally planning on toying with the TN crossover as time goes on. I obviously have no idea....WHEN or HOW, but it’s somewhere nebulously on my To-Do list.
And, of course, the Disneyworld AU. One day, I will finish it.
G. Where do you think you grew the most this year?
Honestly, I think the drabble challenge was a GREAT opportunity to throw myself into a variety of things that I NEVER would have considered before. I’ve gone from EXCLUSIVELY writing 1789 and Irish Mythology stuff to really working with anything that really vibes with me, which has been VERY exciting. And, between Le Cri, A Pressing Matter, and Back on the Shore, I’ve gotten several things that I’ve been talking about and tossing around for YEARS on the page and out there in some form or another. I’m still going to stick around 1789, of course, that’s still my BABY, but I really got the chance to work with a lot of things I’d have never normally have thrown myself into and had the chance to toy with my style in a way that I normally wouldn’t.
M. Meta! Have any meta about a story you’re dying to throw out there?
Oh God, there’s ONE THING that I WANT to write the meta for but SPOILERS. That I don’t even know if it’s SPOILERS anymore. (I should honestly get into the habit of asking people “SO WHAT DO YOU THINK’S GOING TO HAPPEN NOW” like a thirteen year old who’s just uploaded their first Wattpad fic, but alas). But, since I’m working on PLP at the moment, have this:
No, she gets no sleep tonight, her eyes locked on the bayonets as they gleam in the moonlight. She lays and waits and thinks.
Several hours later, a shot rings out in the dark. All the demons of Hell break loose, the only thought on Solène’s mind being that of another night, another volley of shots.
They mean to massacre them all.
The Queen has changed the King’s mind again and they will all be killed.
Every part of her knows it, screaming in her mind as they make their way for the Queen’s quarters, all else, all other thoughts disappearing.
A panicked voice asks them what they think they’re doing and another voice, she doesn’t know if it’s hers or one of the women with her, replies, “We’ll cut off her head, rip out her heart, fry her liver, and that won’t be the end of it!”
They are done with this, done with the queen, and they will take whatever they can get.
They have endured too much pain at this point to just curl up and die.
This wasn’t a fight they wanted to begin, but if it was a fight they needed to survive the night, they could give it to them.
They could give and give and give as they had always done, all of their lives.
A few guardsmen try to stop them, but they disappear beneath the wave of bodies flooding the palace. One of them breaks free, runs and pounds on the door, his bloodied hand staining the expensive, gilt wood as it slams against it before he’s tossed aside. “Save the Queen!”
A door slams ahead of them as they reach the room, the room itself is deserted, except for one woman who rushes in front of them all.
“I am the Queen!”
Solène recognizes the voice even before she can see her in the light of the torches, still wearing the clothing that she’d worn the night before, and she freezes.
So, for this section, I ripped a LOT from the historical record, as far as the threats the women made on the life of Marie Antoinette, the guard slamming on the door, the shot in the dark panicking the mob, BUT I also actually did look up at least one article on mob mentality to try to understand HOW someone would get involved with something like this. And the first thing I focused on was the INDIVIDUAL getting pushed aside in favor of the group. And the main way I ended up TRYING to get that to show through was in Solène’s reaction.
At first, she starts off as a singular: “She lays and waits and thinks” “The only thought on Solène’s mind,” etc. But then, immediately AFTER that, as the panic sets in, she becomes a PLURAL, “They mean to massacre them all” “They will all be killed,” “they are done with this” “they have endured too much.” And it really reaches its height when they enter MA’s chambers, as she doesn’t even know WHO is speaking. It could’ve been her, it could’ve been the woman by her side, likewise with the guard who’s severely hurt (also, the “wave” of bodies, going back to the overall theme of water that’s there in PLP). She doesn’t know, because at this point, they’re one whole body acting out at the same time. (There’s one brief point where Solène becomes a “her” again, but it’s only to say that her brain is NOT necessarily...its usual self, “all other thoughts disappearing,” which repeats what she’d also said when the shot first went off; she’s very much acting on INSTINCT here.)
When does she become Solène again? When Olympe runs in front of her. She and Olympe are not a Thing per se, not at this point, even though Solène’s recognizing that she’s “a little bit in love with her,” but Solène does care enough for Olympe that she was able to be snapped out of it. In the chapter that I currently have sitting in my drafts and that SHOULD be published in the next day or so, there’s a bit where Olympe questions whether Solène would have continued on if she hadn’t been there. Solène says that she doesn’t know, because to HER this unlocked a part of herself that she didn’t really know was THERE, the kind of radicalism that she tends to associate with Ronan and the other revolutionaries (ESPECIALLY Maillard, who is kind of Ronan-By-Proxy here as a vanqueur of the Bastille who is ultimately ineffective when it comes to Solène’s complaints.) Personally? Even though I fully leave it up to interpretation, and everyone’s free to say “No, you’re wrong,” I wrote it with the idea that Solène probably would have done a Hell of a lot more harm had Olympe not been there.
This is also fully intended as a parallel to Peyronan. (”NO, RACHEL, PEYRONAN ARE A THING? I HAD NO IDEA! THE SPOILERS!”) Both Peyrol and Solène had the same choice in this chapter, at its core: Their goal at hand, or the person they love. Peyrol let the army and his loyalty to the Monarchy get the better of him, Ronan ended up paying the price for it, and, as we see both at the funeral and at the trial at the beginning of the chapter...Laz is BROKEN by it. Solène doesn’t realize why he’s broken and even doubts that he is, because she doesn’t have the perspective, but...LOOK at him. He is not doing Well. He didn’t gain anything from what he did. In a snap-second decision, he chose his career and decades of indoctrination over Ronan, and he ended up losing both. Solène chose to break out of it and save Olympe, even if she was personally endangered by it. It doesn’t mean that one loved their person more than the other one, but it DOES mean that they get very different results. There’s a climb to the light for Laz as well, I’m not going to just...LEAVE him, but it’s going to be much, much longer than Solène’s.
S. What’s the sexiest thing you wrote this year?
I’ll be honest: I know I have (2) Official Smut Fics to my name now, but I honestly don’t FEEL like anything I’ve written’s particularly SEXY so much as Describing Sex. This isn’t me being a Pretentious Literary Author who Does Not Write Porn, oh no; it’s that I genuinely don’t believe that what I write...qualifies as “sexy”. That being said, despite being only 100 words, “Honey Plunged Into Water” is probably the sexehiest. Which is hilarious because it’s also the kind of thing I would NEVER have written otherwise. There is one...unpublished fic for A Passage Through the Light that features Madame Roland/Marie-Anne that is....very, very gay and is probably honestly the sexiest thing I’ve ever written even without them actually doing the do.
T. Themes, motherfucker, do you have them? What are they?
Earn Your Happy Ending, the question as far as the difference between society and what someone’s been conditioned to be like VS the individual, uncertainty, unease, that question of how much you really CAN know someone else, that general feeling of the calm before (or even during) the storm and how people can find intimacy then. There’s a lot of the gothic element there as far as the past, and the people who were THERE in the past, never really being...GONE from the narrative. Like, one way or another, they have the tendency to come back, whether it’s as a literal ghost or whether it’s just their skeleton buried underneath a tree somewhere.
V. Which story was the most viscerally pleasing to write? Tell us your narrative kinks.
This is painfully predictable, but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed every second of writing Forgiveness. To this day, it’s probably the ONE piece of Peyronan stuff (besides Fowl Play!) that I’ve written where I’m, like, 95% happy with the final result, which is REMARKABLE for me. I really, really loved getting to WORK with their relationship and what makes it WORK at the heart of everything, the progression of it, the gradual increase in intimacy, the way they come to have that moment of “We’re in this one TOGETHER,” and an ending that’s HOPEFUL even though there’s still the ever-present promise of the Revolution in the background. All of that is a LOT of what I tend to like in my Peyronan to begin with, so it was really fantastic to just get that all out on the page. It’s one of those moments where I just want to gesture all over the page and go “THESE TWO LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH” even though they still have their bickering and their petty little moments.
Another one that’s a WIP but that I feel’s far enough along to actually TALK about is the Fairy Tale AU (It has a name, but I tend to feel like announcing its name is jinxing it and I DO desperately want to get it out soon) and...it’s not my usual writing style, it’s not my usual way of doing things. There are some things that I do there that I wouldn’t necessarily do in a usual, realistic fic because it’s a FAIRY TALE that’s being given the 1789 treatment. It was really, really interesting to get to work with some of my favorite fairy tales, see some of the ways they’ve been told and retold throughout the years, especially looking for the ones that focus on commoner protagonists, elements of the gothic and dark fantasy mixed in there with the light. I’m not really that USED to getting to go wild, so it’s been a lot of fun to have one project where the research is less on the minutiae of 18th century life and more on...like....the similarities between the Italian and the Breton versions of The Travelling Companion folkstory.

Fanfic asks (randomized)
💻🔬🔥🌈🪜
💻 The first fanfiction you posted?
oh my - i don't think i remember! i was writing fanfic for YEARS before i posted anything, but i bet it was a warrior cats fanfic when i was about 12 on fanfiction.net. (tbh, out of curiosity i went and found my old account, and unfortunately i must have at some point deleted all my REALLY old stuff from the site because none of my warriors fic is there anymore WHICH IS SUCH A SHAME, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN KEPT FOR POSTERITY, PAST ME!!)
🔬The fic you had to make the most research for?
lol i'm gonna say us traitors never win for so many of these questions but it's true, i did SO much googling for that one, mostly medical stuff like how broken ribs heal and how fast hypothermia can set in, stuff like that, but also had to look up some stuff about england in the 1840s, about the arctic landscape, you know, stuff that readers PROBABLY don't care about but it matters TO ME if i know
🔥 Hottest fic you ever written?
subjective but imo it's maybe for the best, which is tim/sasha pwp
🌈 Your favorite tropes to write about?
I love writing sibling bonding stuff and i also love enemies to lovers, though i think most of what i've written is "mild annoyances to lovers" or "enemies to idk what they are but it's not enemies and it's not lovers but there's SOMETHING weird going on"
🪜 Tell us a random fact about any fic!
i think UTNW was initially going to be a bit more abstract and weird than it turned out (and i think the way it turned out is definitely for the best) but that's why it does get SO....ambiguously abstract towards the end. that vibe probably would've been a lot more present if it had stayed truer to the original vision but i love how it turned out so much i really wouldn't change a thing

Virginity breeds mites, much like a cheese; consumes itself to the very paring, and so dies with feeding his own stomach. I'm working on an intensive project on Charles Jeanne and the June Rebellion as a proposal for this Masters program I'm trying to get accepted into. Any ideas for sources I should look into? I own A Cinq Heures Nous Serons Morts, and have access to the trial transcript. I've also read "Barricades: War on the Streets in Revolutionary France."
Oooh! That sounds awesome :D Hope you get accepted! And definitely keep me updated on this project!
Okay so, I don’t actually have that many sources either? I mean you already have the most important ones. But I’ll list what I can think of here.
CONTEMPORARY SOURCES:
Louis Blanc’s The History of Ten Years 1830-1840 (1841)- Louis Blanc wasn’t an eye witness to the events but he was a contemporary- available online in French and in EnglishAntoine Rey-Dussueil’s Le Cloître de Saint-Méry (1832)- this is a work of fiction but it was published only months after the uprising and the appendices include actual eye witness testimonies, including an anonymous letter from Charles Jeanne, written while he was still on the run. (Jeanne’s letter starts on this page)- available online in French
@barricadeur also posted these police reports about the uprising and @ellie-valsin shared these newspaper sources. And of course Chanvrerie.net has a whole bunch of resources about the uprising. (I recommend Alexandre Dumas’s memoirs even if they don’t really talk about Jeanne directly.)
LATER SOURCES:
Thomas Bouchet’s other June Uprising book Le Roi et les barricades (2002) - criminally expensive but I managed to find it in my university library so it might not be that hard to track down?
Mark Traugott’s The Insurgent Barricade has some good stuff I think? Le Maitron Dictionnaire biographique du mouvement ouvrier français also has an article on Charles Jeanne and some of his comrades but I haven’t figured out how to access that yet so idk if how good it is….
Okay, I realise that these are all mostly about the uprising. For the prison resources… oh boy, I can’t even remember all the stuff I used in my posts. Much of it was just whatever I found online so I don’t know whether to really recommend those. I kind of hesitate to even link those posts here tbh because they’re really not reliable at all (or particularly well written). But well, you can fact check them yourself I guess, so here they are.
There’s also those letters I found on Ebay but I’d like to stress that I HAVE NO IDEA IF THEY’RE REAL. I’ve never seen any references to them anywhere.
Also if you need any map resources… well I have a whole another list of those :p

Dear Femslasher!
This letter is just in case you might want to poke at some more of my prompts/likes. Generally, I’m open to a lot, and I will be delighted with any rating from gen to explicit. My AO3 account is here.
My prompts are pretty ridiculous in places. That’s just how my mind works! Feel free to play them entirely straight, or subvert them to your hearts desire.
Feel also free to include other characters or OCs as side-characters, if they are necessary because of plot reasons.
(If this letter cribs a lot from my other letters, it’s because I’m lazy, and my likes don’t change around that much :D You can find some of my other letters under the exchange letter tag. I hope you have fun creating!)

Crossovers
Susan Pevensie (Narnia)/Minerva McGonagall (Harry Potter)
Tbh, I'm mad about Susan Pevensie being written out of the Narnia storyline, and I'm mad about Minerva having some sort of tragic love affair; and I'd much rather have them be beautiful and slightly strange but very proper together.
They could have met when they were young, being roughly the same age, or later. Would Susan Pevensie be a muggle? Would she be the first muggle to visit Hogwarts?
Or maybe they meet during Minerva’s years at the Ministry of Magic, because Susan can’t really be made to forget about magic? Maybe Susan discovers Diagon Alley by accident, and is very comfortable with a magical enclave in the middle of London. People might suspect her of being an oblivated Squib? but no, she’s just Susan.
Or maybe Minerva meets her out in Muggle London somewhere, and Susan points out that her outfit just does not conform to muggle standards, and things develop from there.
I’d be interested in how they meet, or how they would live together, or if anyone would even notice that they are in a relationship. Would also love PWP!
Varvara Sidorovna Tamonina (Rivers of London)/Natasha Romanoff (MCU)
Both of these Russian women were the result of the military experimenting. Is the Red Room a continuation of the programme that produced Varvara?
Is the Black Widow searching out other surviving defectors/traitors, and stumbles upon Varvara, who, like her, doesn’t seem to age? Or maybe Natasha has to track her down and kill her as a mission for the Red Room, and it eventually leads to the Black Widows own defection?
Would love if they each tried to seduce each other for their own purposes, and if the sex they had with each other was a power play.
Jane Marple (Miss Marple)/Minerva McGonagall (Harry Potter)
I would be happy with anything really. Minerva is Jane’s childhood friend? Jane is actually a Squib or a witch, and the “cipher devision” is code for the Department of Mysteries?
Minerva visits St. Mary Mead because a relative lives there, and is a key witness of a murder, but the police is very suspicious of her conduct?
Lilia Baranovskaya (Yuri on Ice)/Natasha Romanov (MCU)
Both these women were Russian ballerinas. Could they also both have been members of the Red Room? Is Lilia Baranovskaya secretly a Russian assassin?
Or maybe Lilia was a normal ballerina, who knew that the girls with the strongest bodies were part of the KGB, and was always terrified of being imprisoned. Or she overheard a secret, and Natasha was blackmailing her to keep it quiet. Or maybe they quietly comforted each other during bad times, and snuggled up to each other in winter?
Would also love if Lilia was the only normal ballerina to keep up with the super-soldiered assassins, and Natasha was always in awe of her performances.
Jane Marple (Miss Marple)/Susan Pevensie (Narnia)
Anything really. Susan and Jane meet during the War, maybe both of them are assigned to the cipher department -- or Susan is there for diplomatic training. Or maybe they meet at the girls school?
Elle Woods (Legally Blonde)/Cher Horowitz (Clueless)
Do they meet in law school? Or before, or after? I want them to be competent, and brilliant, and dazzle each other with their excellent taste in clothes. I want them to be besieged by terrible human beings, and persevere. I want them to cuddle on a sofa, and inspire so many girls to do great things. I want them to grow as human beings, and be kind and positive, and succeed. (And I want one of them to be President.)
Also excellent would be: Elle does criminal law, Cher is in charity work, and they need to solve this embezzlement case.
But I’m also here for the porn, because that would also be amazing. Or like, buying a house together. Getting married. Deciding to adopt a puppy together.
Grace and Frankie
(Pairing: Grace/Frankie)
I’m not going to lie: I’d love an episode where they go to Vegas together, and then end up married.
But I’m also open to anything else, especially if it preserves their character dynamics from the show. I love to see them old and cranky! (I would also be super into a glimpse into an AU where instead of their husbands, they married each other, or like, were “roommates”. Did they still have children? Did they adopt them?)
That is not to say I don’t love the husbands, and if they have supporting roles, I am on board!
Also into: Forehead kisses, UST, resolved sexual tension, experiments with sex toys, awkward sex, accidents with lube, accidents with the postal service, and one of these things is not like the other
Miss Marple
(Pairing: Jane Marple/Other Female Character)
I love old ladies quietly spending the rest of their live together, but I also wouldn't be opposed if this was set during any other period of Miss Marple's lifetime. How do they meet? During a case? Is the OFC a suspect for the police? The victim of a blackmail affair? Someone Jane met at school, or a city person, who has to stay in the countryside for some reason? Another woman from the cipher division?
RED
(Pairing: Sarah Ross/Victoria)
I’m into the age difference, and I am into the awe Sarah Ross has for how Victoria handles her weapons (heh.) Would be into PWP. Would be into bedsharing because of reasons that evolves into not-so-platonic bedsharing.
Would also be into it if Victoria would finance Sarah’s every whim in return for sexual favours. Or if Sarah would hang on her arm like arm candy. Or like a sugar!mommy situation.
Please no Mommy!kink, though if you want to play with the age difference, I am game.
Imperial Radch Series
(Pairing: Breq/Seivarden)
I love how begrudgingly Breq saves Seivarden. And I don’t care if it’s because it’s written into her code, or because she is desperately clinging to her sense of self because she died once already. I like their relationship because it isn’t easy, because they remember each other but not really, through a filter of nostalgia and memory distortion, but they are familiar to each other, too.
And that sense of familiarity, that sense of loyalty (and how fucked up they both are) that’s why I ship them.
Canon divergence would be great! as would canon compliance! Or anything about the canon, really :D
Or maybe Seivarden accidentally takes a sex pollen!drug, and Breq has to deal with that the traditional way (whatever way that looks like.)
Or some political manoeuvring after Ancillary Mercy? Or contrasting how Seivarden thought her courtship was going to be, and how it actually went? First kisses?
So...if you want to write me explicit sex, I really don’t care what kind of genitals they do or do not have. (Alien genitalia! tentacle breeding arms? Human-like workings! whatever floats your fancy)
Original Works
40s Private Eye/Glamorous Wartime Singer
I would be stoked by a noir feeling, or a trope-tastic comedy of errors. I’m never so much a fan of unending tragedy, but if it’s set during the 1940′s it’s okay. Would also enjoy the 1840′s! Or far in the future!
Is it common knowledge that these two are together? Did they have a long courtship under the eyes of many, or was it a quick fumble in a back alley that may have turned into more?
Famous Actress/Rival Famous Actress
I very much enjoy people being politely scathing against each other, and I love the rivals to lovers trope. Did they have to pretend to be a couple for the camera because their chemistry was truly magical, and it evolved into more?
Did they have a fight on set, that continued into the trailer they were sharing because of reasons, and then they banged?
Are they perhaps a long-time couple that the media turns into rivals because of some unfortunate photos and because they get cast in similar roles? Or are their PR-personas total opposites?
Regency Lady/Crossdressing Regency Lady
Why is there crossdressing? Is it something mundane, like it being easier to ride in mens clothing (people sell you rooms/horses/land with less of a fuss), or is there some dramatic reason, like inheriting an estate or an earldom? Maybe it’s easier to pretend to be a man than an unmarried woman? Highway robbery! Studying at university! Working in the lawyer’s office of their father because he’s sick, and the bills need to be paid, and there is no work for a female lawyer…
Okay. I think that’s it. Please do not feel obligated to use my prompts, and if you have any questions, or if my prompts are really shitty for art or otherwise, feel free to contact me via mod. My anon is probably also open. Hope you have a fun exchange!

For the OC fashion asks....1 and 2. And don't be afraid to go into excruciating detail! ;)
1. Percival, the snake-dandy he is, thinks Moreau dresses like a walking shitpost- in reality, his wardrobe is what one would expect of a slightly downtrodden naturalist/scientist/dork. Lots of muted plaid wool, patched-up trousers, mustard yellow, and carelessly tied neckwear. (Yes, this was a separate question, but he’d be the one with a closet full of identical shirts). To be fair, Percival does like Moreau’s little wire glasses; it somehow ties the look together? Tbh Percy can be a slithering shitpost when he feels like it…. think full velvet suit. (Heck, he harbors a slight admiration for Rococo fashion…)
2. If this was taken from roughly 1840 to the near-modern day, Evangeline (a renegade southern belle) would rock the shit out of some pantsuits. She’d prefer pencil skirts and red lips, but a belted, shoulder-padded 80′s monstrosity would suit her.
