I'm working... Ok, working is not the right word for that. I'm experimenting and losing my mind over this for weeks now. And honestly i've been depressed so many times over this, it really hasn't been fun in a while, unlike making the tattoos for V-Lexa. But also i can't let things go, when i start something, so taking a step back and just leave this for a while, was not really an option (and i tried). And i really wanted to make something for her.

And since yesterday, i think i'm finally on the right track. Maybe. Hopefully. We'll see. Sorry, i'm rambling.

Anyway...

I always wanted to give Lexa some tattoos. But there hasn't been anything so far, which i thought would fit her. And also tbh i didn't even really knew myself what i wanted for her. And tbh it was kinda difficult to find something, cause everything i tried, wasn't "good enough" for her and i was (and still am) constantly unsure, if i'm not ruining her.

It was a lot easier to find something for V-Lexa. Not because i care less about her, but because she's in comparison relatively new and i'm still figuring everything about her out.

But Maelstrom Lexa has been around for quite while now and allthough i want changes, i'm so scared (yeah, it doesn't make sense). Also it doesn't help, that her personal lore is about wanting (Maelstrom) perfection and making her body the perfect weapon -.-

Aaaand i'm rambling again. Ok... Changes:

New tattoos of course. Lexa LOVES skulls. On her clothes, as decorations... So that is also mostly the theme for her tattoos. A lot of skulls. But she also got two "let's get some ink while blackout drunk" tattoos (she's not always perfect xD). On her right hip you can get a glimpse of a "yelling" cat, which she got after Salem adopted her and she just wanted to show off, that she now has a fur baby. The other is a Maelstrom logo on her leg which she got shortly before her initiation, when she got extemely drunk with Royce and Dum Dum and decided it's time for a gang tattoo. And of course they thought it was an awesome idea 😂

There's a tattoo for Johnny as well. It's the heart on her right arm. Not a cute heart, since we're still talking about Lexa, so it's the... literal organ 🫀 I still have to add Johnny's name and their wedding date to it. Also i would like to give him the same tattoo, but i'm not sure about that yet. Mostly because i'm hesitant to change his tattoos and don't want to get yelled at for that 🥴.

I got rid of her vanilla body scars and trying right now to give her some custom ones. Because i always thought she doesn't have enough scars, since she's fighting a lot and she sees them as trophies. But that's just an idea for now and i have to see how this goes, cause i'm not really understanding what i'm doing (normal maps wtf!?). I would also like to work on her face scars, but that is even more confusing.

I also thought about making my own skin color for her, cause sometimes her skin looks too red for my taste. I would like to have her paler and with even less color. But i didn't have any succes now, cause nothing looked good enough.

Other stuff:

I'm tidiying up Johnny's NPC+, cause every time i gave him a new outfit i just threw the things into his mod folder without organizing anything. And now i have a ton of stuff and no idea, what is for what. Also there are a lot of appearances, which i will never use (again).

I'm very slowly working on a mod for the Aurore Outfit: Pants, bra, top and jacket. I like this outfit so much but as usual, i need COLORS 😂 Currently only the pants are more or less ready, so this will take a long while until i can share it, since priority are definitely things for the blorbos.

Also in between i make some poses, but these are mostly just for myself for now, cause i'm actually too lazy to make them good enough for the public (at least i know how to position the camera to hide the chaos) or to retarget them for other couples besides M/F.

I think, that was it for now. Which was already too much again 🥴

This time going with a Body 4 version of her. Granted she would be way bigger/bulkier than that body type too but its the closest one size-wise. I really hope that with mods on console that come next month we will be able to get one that allows us to use all faces. Cause a female face would complete the look on her to an extent. She already percieved as a lady and has the voice of one ingame, so the face is all' she is missing tbh.

@maturation​ hmmm not really :( i wrote some tips here for making teenagers look like teenagers, but it’s even harder to make them look like preteens 😭 i think the only time i pulled it off was with casper, and that was really just because he has a baby face without trying. i didn’t even try with asa because he’s so big, i just did a time skip to avoid the whole thing. i’m sorry i can’t help more!! it’s such a huge limitation of the sims :/

hey! i thought i had removed everything by pandasama, but there was actually a file called “animation_injector_changingtable” in my mods folder that was causing problems. delete it, then delete localthumbcache, then reload the game to see if it worked :) otherwise my other problem was an outdated TOOL mod, i thought i updated it but i actually downloaded an old version! (btw, pandasama’s other stuff works fine now, i put it all back after i finished testing. just make sure to update the childbirth mod if you have that)

okay it's kinda funny you said this because... well i don't want to give too much detail but i used to live between a historic cemetery, an honest to god abandoned psychiatric facility, and a building that's known to be one of the most haunted places in the state. but i still never felt or saw ANY ghosts. that's why i didn't believe for so long, because how can i be in the freaking bermuda triangle of ghost activity and never see one?? i'm still mad about it lmao, whether i believe in them or not, i've always wanted to see a ghost so bad. especially if they're just lonely! come to me and we can chill lol

oh wow yeah it’s always freaky when people who don’t seem like the type to believe in this kind of stuff tell you stories like this; it adds a new layer of credibility if you can eliminate all other options. like when people are grieving their loved ones, it’s normal to see/hear/smell them everywhere, and when you’re living in that fog of grief, you can mistake a lot of things for ghost activity that are actually just a result of you looking for patterns to make sense of it all. and i still think this is the case most of the time. i remember when my grandma died, my mom was understandably a complete mess, and she was always misplacing things in that time. but to this day, she still claims it was my grandma who was moving her water bottle, turning the stove on, etc. i’m still (and always will be) a very science minded person, so i’m always going to look at the other explanations first. sorry that was a tangent lmao but my point is, it’s always weird when someone down to earth says stuff like this. that would be so sad, but at least he was able to comfort them a little bit :( what an awful way to go :(

Hi again everyone. Mod Spit here. Uhhhh, guess who has two thumbs and ended up seeing Jersey Boys again? This guy! So, in honor of the complete and utter bullshit I did last time as a means of filler, here’s my ramblings on a local production of Jersey Boys.

Also wow, they’re gonna perform on a stage that I did community theater on. That’s crazy.

OH MY GODDD.

“CES SOIRÉES-LA” WAS SO SEXY AND BRIGHT. I WAS HOOKED FROM THE START. AMEN

For a local theater, the set is really, really good!! For example, there’s no giant screen agressively telling me the season (nor a gregariously big lamppost), but wow. Top tier professional production.

Tommy is the most stereotypical Italian man I have ever seen. I want him to spit on me and murder me with a spoon. Please.

He’s also the tallest out of the four of them?? Which is something I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as I do.

Frankie is so bubbly and animated!! He’s so cute. AND he’s tiny!! I love him.

But oh my god please,, stay still,, a bit sir. You’re sweating so much. Sir. You must be so tired. SIR. CALM DOWN--

It also seems to be causing a bit of strain on his voice. I hope he’s okay :(

Despite that, I prefer this Nick a million times more than Blonde British Massi™️.)

“I Go Ape” was so awkwardly funny for absolutely no reason. I love it. Hank went, “..HAHA YEAH!” as he handed everyone the suit jackets.

Gyp’s mic tape came off during “My Mother’s Eyes,” and I loved watching it dangle from his face during his aggressive sobbing.

“AN ANGEL CRIED”. HAL TOOK THE OPTION UP AT THE END. AND. ALSO. DURING “OH WHAT A NIGHT”. WHAT. THE HELL. HOW IS HIS VOICE NOT BROKEN. IS HE OKAY? HE IS SO GOOD. MURDER ME.

Loraine’s actress is very cute. I’ll update y’all.

Act II:

They all did their own special pose during the beginning of “Big Man…” and tbh I thought I was watching an anime opening.

OKAY. I LOVE NICK. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. aaaAAAAAHHHH—

HIS MONOLOGUE. It gave me secondhand embarrassment in the best way possible. Everyone’s trying to talk about the IMPORTANT MATTER, and he’s over here WHINING about Tommy being a little BITCH.

His monologue just gets increasingly louder until he shouts “TEN YEARS.” then he pauses and delicately plops into his chair to sit all politely. He looks like the cat meme. It’s so goofy.

Also, Nick being on the brink of tears when he mentions how he can’t see hotel soap.

The audience loudly groaned once Tommy said “half a mil,” and it made my heart happy.

Bob was the only one with a toilet during the jail scene, so seeing everyone dramatically draped over their chairs while he’s all scrunched up on the can was hilarious.

Okay, so Frankie being a hyperactive beyblade was definitely necessary here. He needs a place to put all that energy. HE RAN WITH IT.

“Beggin’” had sexy spins. “C’mon Marianne”? Exquisite. But then he starts doing whole ballet turns during “Working My Way…”??? Like, okay, Nutcracker and Swan Lake. I see you.

Bob’s smirk when he says, “What makes you think they liked you before?” 🥴✨💕

LORAINE. SHE IS SO CUTE. AND INCREDIBLE. I usually don’t pay as much attention as I should to her character, but this time my eyes were practically GLUED to her. Her leaving Frankie broke my heart into pieces. She deserves the world.

Oh, and sickness is cured. They all enunciate so hard, that they’re constantly spitting like camels. I love theater.

It wasn't easy to find human games in hell. Luckily, I seemed to have found one from the human world he could get in hell, and it was for free too! He didn't think he'd get this emotional playing it though...

"So, you're really just, stuck in there?" Blitzo looked at the computer screen, raising an eyebrow slightly. He had found this game called 'Doki Doki Literature Club' on his last trip to the human world. He's always down for some hot anime girls, so was excited when he found out he could get it for free in hell too. Then violent stuff started happening, and he got really excited. But now he was at the final act, with the antagonist character, Monika, who he's just now finding out is actually alive and sentient, and not just programmed to do bad things.

"I'm sorry Blitzo, but, there's not much I can do to get to your world..." She had a sad look on her face as her voice came out of the speaker to his old box computer. "Especially with this old hunk of junk you downloaded the game on!" She let out a small laugh, crossing her arms. Blitzo laughed as well, but still took offense to that.

"Hey, it's not my fault! Imps get no respect down here, it's easier for us to just die out than actually try and make a living!" Blitzo let out another loud laugh, but stopped when he realized that Monika, wasn't laugh, in fact, she didn't seem to find it funny at all. Her face was contorted into a frown as she looked at Blitzo through the screen, resting her arms on her desk.

"Blitzo, you don't... actually think that, do you?" She sounded concerned. Monika didn't really know anything about hell, she didn't have much of a concept of an afterlife for herself, sense she didn't even have a soul, but were Imps really treated that poorly down there? "You know Blitzo, You shouldn't talk like that..."

"What's wrong, I'm just speaking the truth, Imps are treated like nothing but a burden, the scum of hell, the lowest of the low." He was getting angry as he spoke, which only caused Monika to get more concerned. She may have not known Blitzo for long, but she did know she cared about him, that's for sure. "Besides, why do you even care?"

"I care because I love you Blitzo!" Monika leaned forward slightly, though it didn't bring her any closer to him physically, she still felt as if it would help. Blitzo stared for a moment, almost silent. No, no she couldn't love him, how could she ever someone like him?

"No, no you don't mean that Monika..." Blitzo said, leaning away from the computer slightly. Monika so desperately wanted to reach out to him, let him know that she did truly care, that everything would be ok.

"Blitzo... why else do you think I did all of this?" Monika was deadpan as she spoke, resting in her seat again as she looked out at Blitzo. "I destroyed my game, I hurt my friends and the people I care about because... I wanted to be with you Blitzo..." Monika felt guilty as she spoke. She had regretted everything she had done, to her friends, to her game, everything. "I hate myself for everything I've done, but... I had no other option, the game wouldn't give me a route so... I made my own.."

Bitzo was silent as he stared at the screen, trying to find the words to say what he was thinking. He had completely forgotten that everything in the game was her doing, and he hadn't even realized that she did it all in order to be with him. No one had ever really done something so drastic before, it was hard to believe that she was willing to practically ruin her 'life' just for him.

"You, really ruined your life, for me?" Blitzo's voice was quite and nervous, as if still cautious about Monika's true intentions with him. He could actually have a relationship with her, right? He technically wasn't real, and they couldn't actually show affection to each other outside of maybe verbal affection, which Blitzo still wasn't entirely used to. "You, you didn't have to do that you know... I mean, you barely even know me..."

"But, I did Blitzo... I couldn't risk losing you... you mean so much to me..." Monika sounded sad as she spoke, she even looked like she was holding back tears, sucking in a breath as she tried to keep her composure. "I know enough about you to know that I love you, so... please..."

Blitzo was silent for another moment, feeling his heart skip a beat as he looked at Monika. Is this what true, unconditional love was like? It felt, wonderful, fantastic even. Blitzo finally smiled at Monika, reached his hand to the screen, and caressed it slightly, as if trying to why away her tears. "Thanks, Monika... really..." His voice was softer now, letting out a soft sigh as he did. Monika smiled, feeling ever so slightly comforted by his attempt as wiping away her tears. "I promise, I'll find a way to get you out of there, even if it's the last thing I do..."

Monika could help but smile at his words, her face softening as she looked at him. "Thank you, Blitzo... I really do love you..."

"I..." Blitzo hesitated slightly, he had never said the words before, swallowing slightly before finally speaking. "I love you too, Monika..."

First up ;; Body replacements. (Links may have nudity on the model.) These will change the base model and the parts of the body that shows through clothes (like cleavage or tummy.) BIG thing is the nice hands and feet. When you pick a body of your choice, you can then find gear conversions for it. The big thing is since you're changing the client side models, it will show up on everyone.

Mid Size Ladies - Tight&Firm - I used this one for ages until I started trying others. Bibo+ - The first body mod I ventured out to try lol less buff, more cute. Freyja - The body mod I use nowadays.

Mid Size Guys - The Body SE-X - Basic body for the tall gentlemans (excluding Roes and Hroth) Has lots of options. The hrBody 3 (SFW Edition)- This is a basic body for the Roes & Hroth.

Potatos - Otopop - I've been following this creator since release. They're really sweet and really dedicated to expanding mods to the portly spuds.

Next step I do is some better textures. Face Defined - Basically just the vanilla textures scaled up. HD Speckled Rabbits - Texture replacement to make all the viera ears speckled cause I think it's cute lol The New Ultimate Foot Pack - This is technically a gear conversion BUT it modifies all foot gear in game with exposed foots to have the updated foot model. Mani - Pedi Mega-Pack - Tons of shoe and glove conversions! Hair Defined - All hair textures in HD ! Including face hair and fur for ears and tails. Upscaled Vanilla Scales - This is just the default au'ra scales in HD. Default colors. If you want extra patterns or colors, skip this.

NPC Defined - A big general pack of NPC upscales.

Another BIG thing is catchlights and eye textures as well as makeup.

I really like this rainbow catchlight. If you let me know what kind you want (like lashes reflecting, ring light, like a window reflection, anime little white circle.)

Eye textures, you can actually do manually and give everyone different ones! But is also super up to you. This is the texture pack I use, I love it. Here's a more modern eye pack that looks really cute too!

Makeup, if you let me know the kinds of things you may like I can look around for you. I like stuff like this, this, this, and this. A lot of people release makeup, so it's really up to what you find!

If you want to add hair, it depends on what you're looking for. There's lots! Just browsing the first few tabs, there's this wolfy hair cut, this cute puffy twintail, this cute bob, this gale port, this super long cut, this gorgeous port I'm going to have to use, and cute space buns. Lucifer is pretty decent when it comes to comfort.

Not really in such an emotional sense. Yes, he does express his care for you, and he'll always insist that whatever issue you're dealing with is so minuscule compaired to your being, but truthfully he's very good with the facts.

He lays it all out fairly plainly. You'll get the questions like "Why is this bothering you?", "What can you do to fix it?", "If you can't change anything, why are you so adamant on punishing yourself for not trying?", ext.

He'll even ask you what the benefits are of fixing the issue/relationship, if it's even worth it, and help you sort out whatever muddled emotions you might be feeling.

You might still feel sad, but that's okay. Feeling sad is apart of change, and with Lucifer by your side, change will happen in the most productive way possible.

Mammon

He doesn't really know why you came to him first.

He's not exactly known for his problem-solving skills and tender hand.

Which is pretty solid assumption, proven by the way he automatically rises to go beat up who/what is bothering you.

Mammon looks so enraged it's almost goofy.

You'll have to stop him from causing chaos.(*cough* raising hell *cough*)

Amongst all his anger and your giggled pleas for him to calm down and just hold you, you forget what you're upset over.

It's not a permanent fix. You'll still feel all the hurt again, but in that moment it's an escape.

Sometimes taking a break from the pain isn't that bad, especially when you're accompanied by a white-haired demon content on overwriting that memory with cheesy action films.

Leviathan

This is not really a scenario he ever thought he'd find himself in.

Like, sure, you complain to him about school, and his brothers, but you're never crying or red in the face.

He's kinda at a loss for words.

So he acts on instinct, cutting you off by wrapping you in his arms

It's tight and restrictive and just enough to keep you from running over the line leading to a panic attack.

You'll stay like that for a while, up until you start laughing at his awkward conversation tactics or the blush on his face.

He makes you promise never to go through these things alone, because no one should have to.

Satan

Satan is an armchair psychologist.

Sometimes it does wonders. The coping methods he repeats are good for problems that would normally ruin your day.

But in situations where all you can do is lay on your bed and feet over the smallest of things, it's a little too late. All you want him to do is hold you.

He isn't really for it at first, making attempts to get you to try all the things your normally do, but eventually he caves.

Then Satan realizes, sometimes all you need to do is just vent. To get out all your grievances. You don't need advice, you don't need opinions, you just need to state your feelings.

He's okay with that.

Asmodeus

Asmodeus is the queen of unhealthy coping skills.

He takes you out drinking, and by the time you two come stumbling home, you're both in tears over something with no real answers or comfort.

The whole night you'll just cling onto each other in a drunken stupor

It doesn't do much to help.

But it does do a bit.

You'll now have the memory of staying up late, clinging to Asmo as both of you sob to each other like some movie aimed at highschool girls.

Being stupid and reckless feels fun, but it doesn't really help.

Beelzebub

Beelzebub is a good listener and gives advice like a wise old man.

He's honest, and tells you what you need to know in the most delicate and basic way possible.

Will cuddle you until you feel better.

Might make you a snack or a hot drink to calm your nerves. It just depends on how you're feeling

Rubs your back in a calm, soothing way. After a long rant it will always make you sleepy.

He'll probably encourage you to take a hot bath and change into pajamas before you go to bed before you fall asleep. Beel says it will make you feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

It does help, and you always sleep well with Beelzebub.

Belphegor

Belphie helps you in the only way he knows how; trash talk.

(Or sleep, but it's hard to sleep when you're so upset)

He'll encourage you to let out your frustrations with little comments worded just right, always aimed at making you feel justified.

Tbh he might just make you feel more riled up, but at leas you aren't sad.

At least you'll be able to sleep it all off in the arms of someone you know loves and cares for you!

Hi! I moved here cause I can’t get a lick of sense from the people on bird app. Idk how to feel about this shitshow that I just witnessed. I just remembered there were more reasons as to why that person was banned. That person initially harassed a member of 5up’s community in which the mod defended. So the group disliked the mod too and continued to shit on them privately and publicly.

Next, thirst tweets can be funny to some. But others find it really uncomfortable which is understandable. They have made suggestive remarks about the pink man and even steve before (that peeps overlooked) but it’s not like the cc themselves are bothered (?). So idk even anymore.

I’m don’t know if I’m making any sense. I’m sorry for the spam ;( This is just the first time I just felt genuinely anxious seeing all the things said about 5up so I word vomited here.

hey anon, don’t worry about it!!! tbf, i feel pretty much the same. i think the situation as a whole is pretty frustrating to see, especially with how it blew out of proportion in every way possible. honestly, feel free to vent in my inbox whenever you want!

overnight, it became clear that the nsfw part of the issue is not really an issue, besides being the recurrent meme for this situation. i read from various people that 5up explicitly said that he didn’t have a problem with the nsfw tweets when discussing this with the mods, but that he took that decision based on the harassment, which. ok another can of worms. to me, the thing is... smart fandom behavior is to always push away the things that you don’t wanna see. so nsfw jokes/tweets might be not of your liking. what should you do? the correct answer is, unfollow/mute/block the people that make them, and in general every person that you wouldn’t wanna share the fandom with. that’s to me the only way you can genuinely enjoy fandom as intended lol. but there are cases in which we do not take the smartest option. and we somehow make this our problem, which is the most typical case of twitter entitlement, that reads like “you’ve posted something i don’t like. Prepare To Die.”

when i saw the tweet pictured above in the thread, i was like ooooooooooh so this is just. typical twitter drama. which already highlights the entire issue with this... this is just twitter drama. why is twitch involved? how did the person get banned in both of 5up’s channels? if it were for twitter drama, or this person tweeted something i don’t like!, i’m sure hundreds of people would be arbitrarily banned. so that’s why it’s handled differently on twitch. now, i don’t know jasfer, like i’ve never talked to the guy, but i’m familiar with him. as someone who’s been a fan of 5up for like a year now, i know he’s been here from the start and he’s also a beloved chat member and person in the twitter portion of the fandom. it feels like insult to injury because it wasn’t that jasfer had a bad reputation in 5up’s chat or a bad relationship with most people in it. it’s just... such shitty luck on their part tbh lol

imagine if it were anybody else, like, two randoms on twitter. the best outcome to that would probably be an eventual block on both sides so they just stop talking about it all the time, right? except that this didn’t happen here because one of them happened to be a mod for a chat that the other person frequented. i think by now you know i don’t agree with the decision at all, then.

thing is, i can understand everyone’s sides and empathize with everyone. i understand why 5up stood up by his mods, i understand why the mod was anxious/felt targeted and resorted to this option, i understand jasfer’s anger/sadness from the outcome of the situation. but i’d still side with jasfer, nonetheless, because he’s the only one with no power here. the most that he can do is bring attention to what happened, but he can’t unban himself, or return in other account and expect everything to go well, etc. and it’s like, urgh. like if i was on their place i would be genuinely devastated lol.

now, i could be talking completely out of my ass, right? because i don’t know what really happened. maybe jasfer genuinely did incredibly shitty things and corralled the mod team and 5up into taking that drastic decision. but that’s just another part of the whole twitter drama of it all, isn’t it? see, when i was more active in twitter (in another fandom), if you didn’t like someone/something you’d talk shit about them in your rant. that’s how it went, and everybody did the same. in that part, i can understand how things grew out of proportion, but again, does anyone know what really happened besides the mods and jasfer? not really. and it’s hard to take a real stance because the whole thing happened on private twitter accounts. which yet again highlights how bad of a decision banning jasfer from both 5up twitch channels was, because, how are we ever gonna know if it was deserved? jasfer didn’t do anything wrong in chat, which is what should matter. and if the so called harassment (that we have to take 5up’s word for it!) happened in private rant accounts... is. is it really harassment? or like, was it just a case of people being (understandably) reactionary and doing what everyone else usually does in twitter dot com?

and the fact that the mod liked this tweet afterwards... isn’t that just incredibly petty? celebrating a personal victory after banning someone that has no say in the matter? jasfer said they tried contacting 5up through discord, and only made the thread days later because they never got a response. so it’s clear that 5up (understandably!) took their mods’ side and was loyal to them, but it came at the cost of what could’ve been a smarter, better decision for everyone involved. but now, because jasfer was left with no tools other than bring attention to his side of the story, twitter blew it out of proportion and everyone is very kindly sending dead threats to everybody involved.

sigh. it’s just... a big mix of terrible luck and bad choices. i usually agree with 5up when it comes to twitter stuff, but making it seem like he’s going against everyone is ignoring the fact that some twitter drama should’ve never made it to his twitch channel(s) anyways, and that a better decision should’ve been taken. now it’s just the worst of both worlds and no one got anything good out of it. like, arguably, the mod got what they wanted, but also got multiple death threats too. i doubt there’s any chance of jasfer ever coming back to 5up’s chat, at least not in the way it was before. because of the twitter thread including sapnap and this being a bad decision in general, a bigger audience now regards 5up badly and this will probably be a passing mention in the eventual cancelling 5up thread when twitter gets boring enough. like, meh. it’s just a mess to watch and it’s just depressing from every angle.

My feelings of Anders, the Post. Finally. Basically just my reblog of this post but on its own with maybe a few other thoughts. Also go read that post too it’s great.

Let me preface this by saying: After replaying the game and finding alot of stuff I missed about Kirkwall and the Templars and Elthina, I will say with 100% certainty that Anders was right. I think he did literally the only thing he could, and I think without him, Meredith would have gotten clearance on the Right of Annulment. There’s no reason for us to think she wouldn’t at the time, given the power she holds and the knowledge that the Divine is likely gonna do an Exalted March from Leliana. And we KNOW it would have happened with the context of DAI, because Hawke SAYS the Exalted March was on, and Cassandra says the Seekers weren’t looking into anything. Every Mage in Kirkwall would have died, and the city would have been laid waste from the march. Tbh, the Chantry explosion was the lesser of the two disasters.

I thought about this for a long time tbh. Because I, like many others, ached over the Chantry explosion. I agonized for DAYS what to do with Anders. It was the second time I actually had to walk away from DA2, the first being when Leandra dies. I was romancing Anders and I was so HURT for Hawke, who was only asked to trust the man she loved and fought with and fought for, and got roped into it all as thanks. (Note: Yes in the part where Anders asks for help, he gets REALLY shitty if you question too much or say no, and I think that’s what turns alot of people off, but I never had that. He asked me/Hawke to trust him and I did.) Eventually, I landed on keeping Anders alive, but ultimately not keeping the romance with him. Hawke trusted Anders. Loved Anders. Fought for his cause, no matter what doubts she might have faced about mages after Leandra’s death. And in the end he didn’t tell her anything. He betrayed her, or it certainly felt that way.

I struggled with the ending for my Hawke for a long time, both before and after a certain mission in Inquisition (Here Lies the Abyss). Because to me, it still felt wrong and raw and unfair. Of all my characters, the woman who fought for and made a home in a city that let her mother be killed and who made a new family with her friends deserved a happy ending. I finally began re-playing through DA2, both to see if a new mod would work, and to see if I could get more into WHY I was still so bothered by this. Because my Hawke fought for this cause. She was a mage. Her sister was a mage. Her father was a mage. She UNDERSTOOD. She was on Anders’s side. She would have been HAPPY to HELP. Then it hit me when I played the scene again.

If you go the friendship route with Anders like I did, Hawke says “I might have understood if you’d only told me.” Anders replies “I wanted to tell you. But what if you tried to stop me? Or worse what if you wanted to help?”

In the end, Anders didn’t trust Hawke.

I get that this was his plan. I get that he wanted to be the only one that the Chantry pointed the blame at in the end. I get that all of this could be Varric trying to protect them both in the way he tells the story. But when it comes down to it, Anders did not trust the woman (or man) he loved with the most important thing in his life.

THAT, I realized, is what hurt the most. That Hawke trusted him and he didn’t trust Hawke. That is why despite it all, despite agreeing with him, despite being more than willing to help, Hawke had to end things with him.

Due to some weirdness with the DA2 epilogue and the Tapestry (I set it to Anders being romanced instead of no romance because the DA2 epilogue implies they WERE in a romance), in DAI my Hawke was still with Anders, even if they might not be past it all. If you set your Tapestry to a romanced Anders with a Hawke that disagrees with his actions, she tells the Inquisitor “When someone betrays you like that...It takes a long time to get past it. I don’t know if we ever have.” And I think that’s fitting, in the end. Trust was broken. They might still have feelings for each other. Maybe even still love each other. But it will never be the same.

Needless to say, when it came to that one mission in DAI, my Hawke didn’t get a happy ending. That might change in DA4, and I hope it does. For now, I think I’ll be satisfied with the tragedy of it all.

So when I was in middle school I had this blowout fight with my dad about something stupid and it escalated into yelling. But y’know, yelling back at your parents gets you in even deeper shit, so like... it’s best not to.

We had this cheap set of window blinds at the time that we got from a discount outlet that were “supposed” to look like wood but were really just plastic and tbh you couldn’t fool anyone. So in the middle of this fight I feel like I’m going to explode because I’m trapped in a fight with my dad and he’s yelling at me--instead of yelling back, I turned around and sank my teeth into the blinds like a bite block.

Again: these were made of cheap plastic and it left a very clear indent of my teeth. But the blinds were newish, they were a pain in the ass and took two men with DIY know-how to put them up, and my parents had to be careful with money, so they weren’t replaced for many years after. Any time I walked into the kitchen I would see it, and I would feel (irrationally, mind you) ashamed at my “loss of control.”

That’s what the phone is to Mike.

He’s had it for a very significant portion of the comic, over 40 chapters.

This is Call Waiting, page 2. It was posted in June 2011, just over ten years ago now. This is a very long ways back from the current chapter (Eternal Flame).

Oliver’s commentary on the page notes that Mike’s family is pretty comfortable as, in 2008, an iPhone would have been pretty expensive -- especially for a teenager. Mike was so desperate for the phone that he cashed in his birthday and Christmas presents for it so he could text Sandy.

sidenote: It’s been mentioned, probably by Mod Brambles iirc, that Mike’s lockscreen has never changed. It has always been this picture of Sandy from when they were much younger.

During their fight/breakup, Mike threw it very hard and with very little care across the room, causing the screen to crack. Presumably, like my window blinds, this serves as a permanent physical reminder of what happened that night. The phone is his link to Sandy, and represents nearly the whole of their relationship. Every since getting together, Mike and Sandy have met face-to-face twice, and all other communication has been through letters and phone lines. Mike’s cell phone is representative of them as a couple.

And... it’s about what you’d expect from two teenagers who have nothing in common.

In page 64 of Eternal Flame, Mike looks down at his cracked screen and tells his friend that they’re going to “get rid of distractions.”

As yukiyuuki said in their tags, this doesn’t just mean Francis. It means Lucy, too. Mike intends to continue his relationship with Sandy through the phone (with promised schedules calls and more frequent replies). But every time he unlocks it to text her... he’s going to see these cracks in the screen.

another sidenote: I don’t believe Mike would go out of his way to fix the phone within the confines of the narrative. The phone is expensive and a repair would be as bad--touchscreen electronics, if not insured, can be less costly to just replace instead of fixing. And while Mike gets along with his parents, unlike my relationship with my dad, he still understandably shrinks like a violet when they’re angry at him. also, Vero would have to dedicate writing/art to a scene as such and she has better things to be working on irt the comic it’s gonna be soooo funny if I’m wrong.

anyway.

additionally, there’s plenty of analysis on the way Mike sees cheating/cheaters and @bramblepaws​ put it a lot better than I ever could have, check it out here. the point is that he takes loyalty and commitment very seriously. while it wasn’t technically cheating since she’d dumped him immediately prior, I’m willing to wager that the fact that Mike went out and kissed Lucy as soon as he was cut loose is going to weight very heavily on their relationship for the rest of the time they’re in it, even and especially if it’s only by his own guilt. he absolutely saw this as a hiccup and not a true breakup, since it probably didn’t even last an hour. so not only was Sandy compromising fidelity, (wrt to Bramble’s post: “I really love him”/”you’re so... nice”), so was he.

after all, this wasn’t exactly the same at the other two kisses they’ve shared...

One of these things is NOT like the others, if you catch my meaning.

And while none of these kisses were technically cheating on Sandy or disrespecting his feelings toward her (the first two were before they got back together and the third is, of course, right after their breakup/makeup), Mike has always looked back on them as such because they represent the idea that when Sandy left, Mike fell in love with someone else and therefore he wasn’t “loyal enough,” hence the trauma surrounding being perceived as a cheater by his peers.

yet another sidenote: it occurs to me that these three kisses each have different instigators. the Confrontation one is instigated by Lucy, the Pillow Talk one is instigated by Mike, and while you could argue that Mike instigated in Eternal Flame, the truth is that they both made the decision and came together into that kiss and therefore it was a mutual decision.

so yeah. not only does Mike have another “tally” in his Wasn’t Faithful box, self-imposed and self-inflicted as it is, but Sandy does as well. Sandy’s as-of-currently [checks time] 4:51pm 7/15/21 emotional unfaithfulness (we don’t know how far it goes as the camera’s not on her, but it was unfaithfulness) paired with this third kiss is the coffin for Mike and Sandy that December was for Mike and Lucy (and in a previous post, I described Mike’s behavior toward Lucy in Eternal Flame as the “final nail,” and while we have yet to see Mike and Sandy’s this is a good way to frame the countless parallels between this chapter and December).

Neither of them are going to be able to forget about it. they’re attached to the point that I would describe their relationship as nearly codependent, and absolutely toxic... but it’s no longer a genuine relationship either of them are taking genuine pleasure in. they’ve each has encounters where they’ve experienced pretty explosive chemistry with other people, but they’ve been together since they were kids and for fear of hurting each other and in the unknown variables of new relationships, they’ve decided to stay together.

(please wear safety goggles in the fireworks lab, folks.)

but again, they won’t forget what happened here, and it’s going to have ramifications for how they move forward. the only thing they’ve done by getting back together is delayed the inevitable and gotten other people hurt in the crossfires.

and that’s what the crack in that panel means.

Ya know people say that anyone can draw a stick figure. Oh how wrong they were cause i cannot draw circles well. Tbh i feel like a bad artist because i cant draw a freaking stick. Tell me. How do you do it?!

I don’t—- I’m kidding, but I actually do feel like I struggle with stickfigures—- That’s why everyone in EtC has more anatomy and clothes and such, cause I’m just so much more used to drawing those things. And don’t feel like a bad artist for not being able to draw circles well. No one can draw circles well—- You have no idea how many times I will undo to draw a better circle on whiteboard, only for all of them to be wonky and definitely not circles, and for actual panels... I use a shape tool 😅 Cause it will always looks better than anything I could pull off, and it’s just so much easier and less hassle that way—-

But that is one thing about Henry Stickmin that I really like. Cause anyone can draw a stick figure, so anyone can make fanart or their own characters for it, no matter their skill level. I just think that’s really neat, and it puts a smile on my face :)

Sorry if i spam you... i was wondering if you could write a male reader who's the SHSL chaos with nagito and they do basically the same thing nagito does in chap. 1 where they act all friendly and even pretend not to remember their talent but they have a similar mentality to nagito with the hope/despair thing bc of their talent and when nagito snaps in the first trial they're like "wow, I didn't expect to meet someone else like me here" and reveal their talent and real personality (1/2)

I’m pretty sure s/o has to be traumatized too in order to be like Nagito so while nothing happened to him physically s/o is rather hurt meeeeeeeentally

(I don’t actually write that in though just pointing it out)

Also this was pretty tough since I have to add more luck shenanigans and this ended in angst but if you didn’t like it ending like that shoot another ask and I’ll do non despair au

Nagito x Male Ultimate Chaos! Reader

• Nagito and s/o both had lived surrounded by their loved ones getting involved in their bad luck and chaos that they’ve learned to just believe in hope that everything will be okay

• s/o was surprised to see someone actually like them and gleefully revealed his true nature in the first trial more accidentally cause he was so ecstatic someone was actually like him and agreed about hope

• Everyone is freaked out by the personality change and them hiding their talent actually lead to them distrusting Hajime when he claims to not know his talent which s/o does apologize to him about (but he’s too salty to accept it wholeheartedly which is a natural reaction)

• When Nekomaru and Souda tie up Nagito, s/o is the only one interested in going to him (Hajime may have been in canon but he’s extra salty here so no) but is blocked by the others because they shouldn’t be exposed to each other as s/o could become an accomplice

• s/o decides he WANTS to see Nagito and starts his first act of controlled chaos

• First he visted Nekomaru who was fighting against Akane, and with his talent he managed to get them into the fights they get into similar to DR3 and they go crazy

• Then he runs to Kazuichi who’s just messing around on the island and manages to get his talent to have him injure himself

• With those two out of the way, s/o runs to where Nagito is and doesn’t even need any skill to tell Monomi he wanted to spend time with Nagito and she quickly agreed with no problems

• s/o gets to have a free time event with Nagito and it mostly consisted of hope tbh. They bonded though and both were really happy

• Next time he manages to speak with Nagito is when Hajime brings him breakfast and the next free time event happens with them discussing their talents briefly while s/o feeds Nagito. Second free time event

• Nothing else major happens all the way up to despair disease.

• Unlike Hajime was in canon, s/o isn’t a dense idiot and actually catches on to Nagito wanting him to stay

• He doesn’t touch Nagito because he doesn’t want to get infected but he does try to talk to Nagito which was pretty difficult but at one point when Mikan walks in, she sees s/o blushing from spending time with Nagito (attraction) but she understandably misunderstood that s/o was infected

• Later on at the double murder, s/o is upset at losing two symbols of hope in one case and later in the trial is as furious as Nagito at Mikan’s reveal

• s/o subconsciously moves to Nagito when Mikan makes comments on Nagito having no one to love which doesn’t go unnoticed by Nagito

• Then the funhouse happens and s/o and Nagito spend more time together since there’s nothing else to do

• s/o is surprised that someone called the “Ultimate Lucky Student” may have Ultimate Chaos in him as well and he actually gets comfort about it from s/o though a bit twisted since they both take comfort in hope but surprisingly a hug from s/o just silences Nagito

• When Nagito goes through a personality change, s/o is surprised and is pretty hurt that Nagito doesn’t actually seem that into talking with him anymore

• Post 4th trial, s/o goes to Nagito’s room and learns about everything

• Nagito catches s/o and they talk

• s/o agrees to Nagito’s plan in the name of hope though he feels an ache on the inside

• It all went perfectly up until the final step, the throwing of fire grenades

• Chiaki never grabbed a fire grenade, s/o took the last one. Specifically, the one with poison

• s/o didnt know what came over him when he threw a fire grenade.

• Nagito was for sure gonna die and he wasn’t the traitor so why..... why was he so desperate to get the fire grenade....?

• Why.....?

• The class trial ends in blind confusion

• Nagito wanted the traitor to kill him but s/o saw in Chiaki’s face that she was the traitor but she knew that she never threw a fire grenade

• It’s a blind vote and sirens blare as the majority got Akane

• This wasn’t supposed to happen....

• That’s all that left s/o’s mouth as the others were dragged into mass execution

• s/o has never felt emptier
