My thoughts for legacies 3x13: I’ll try to put the point chronologically

1. When Kaleb blew the candle, I’m so confused because the first thing that comes to my head is: he’s blowing that because is daytime, but why put it so far from Cleo? Why use a candle when you have electricity? And apparently I’m a fool, because that’s how the confinement spell works duh! I only recalled that when Alaric blew it in the end. I’m so dumb lol.

2. I love that Kaleb is the first to seek Cleo out, wanted answers and ready to accept them. When he tries to comfort Cleo in her memories, that’s me too! But apparently being the badass she is, she immediately come up with the idea of replacing her grandma to go with Malivore.

3. Poor Cleo! My heart sores when it started with a little girl, just like with Finch. She’s a hero! She’s so brave! She’s a queen! And weirdly she likes frogs(or toads?) very much. I wonder why. And although she tried to kill Hope last episode, I never see her as a villain. Never for a second. Instead I’m impressed. Tbh I didn’t understand why she is always playing with clay/mud since the beginning of this episode. But after her backstory, I just feel sad and proud at the same time. Sad because it’s shaped from her painful time of enslavement. Proud because she’s using the thing she learned from it against Malivore as her weapon despite the painfulness. I remember she talked about her sister dying, but nothing about that occurs in the memories. Did she lie before or it’s just another thing that the writers forgot?

4. ‘Jonch’ is horrible! I prefer Finsie as the ship name. Why is their moment always so cringy? I get this second embarrassment from them a lot, mostly from Josie tho. I always felt there’s something lacking in Finsie, just like what I felt when Handon started it’s kind of sudden. Maybe because of my perception, I really didn’t know why Josie think Finch is hot. I have to learn how to appreciate her beauty. But goof news, I actually appreciated Finsie first kiss, because I see why they haven’t kiss before, and why they finally kiss. It’s cute and the sparkling, haha. Tbh I start to appreciate Finch’s beauty from the kissing scene angle. But this episode, again, I still feel cringy in most of the Finsie scenes. I have to put my palm on my head. Anyway, I enjoy the “girlfriend” scene tho, like Finsie starting to grow on me(again, the first time is their first kiss, hopefully no more cringy afterwards). It’s really good to see Josie happy. Btw, since Finch decided to enrol, will she be the new alpha now that she defeated Jed? That’s good for her, she finally has a pack and no longer lonely.

5. Along with Finsie scenes, does anyone realise there’s actually other students there? And there are actually other witches at the school?? I remembered that there’s like only four witches? Because Josie was the only witch at the school when Berbelang!Hope happened? Annnndddd! To that! Does anyone remember there’s this girl Gaby/Gabby? She’s also a witch, and she loves dnd like Wade? They can’t tease us with Penelope using her then just let her disappear?

6. Oh great there’s actually other wolves at the school. I’m starting to think Jed is the only wolf left (of course there’s Hope, but she’s tribrid). As much as I enjoy Finch being badass that she can stand beside Josie, I felt so sorry for Jed and his actor. He’s been there for 3 seasons and yet Finch get a backstory before him. He has none! The actor is great, look at the siren episode! He hardly gets any decent lines and scenes now. Instead, they make him looked useless, hard to be respectable. Like anyone can just harm his alpha reputation. Justice for Jed please. Oh and the fact that Finch got a backstory before Kaleb too? It’s unacceptable. They deserve more. Jed doesn’t even have a last name, my god! Anyway that doesn’t change the fact that I want to hug baby Finch so much bc she’s adorable!

7. With MG gone, Kaleb looks like the only vampire left in the school. I miss MG. What about Ethan?

8. Josie and Cleo finally met! I’m glad that she’s learned something from her too. I think it’s true that other kids never felt as easy as Josie at the school. They finally addressed it.

9. I’m frustrated that Hope never wanted answers from Cleo. The only friend that helped her grieve. But hey maybe she’s too hurt to be able to bear Cleo in her sight. But then again there’s the Landon problem, so she’s off with Landon again. Only taking to Landon the whole episode, being the only one that only talk to one person in the whole episode. Feel bad for her about this. Poor Hope.

10. I really feel bad for Landon, because there’s a lot of hardships to make him like that. Someone please give him hugs and a therapist. The show is doing a full cycle by stating what he’d done is just like what Hope did when she returned from Malivore. I understand why he kept himself away, but weirdly, the way the let those words out, it feels like he wants to get back at Hope when I think he wanted Hope’s understanding. Maybe he wanted both?

12. Someone told me that every 13th episode is the episode where Landon’s power are explored. I kind of agree with it now. Because he’s finally having the fighting skills that he’s longing now. Finally he can achieve his desires to physically fight alongside Hope. For what though, I don’t know, because in the case of supercorp, Lena never needed it physically to be Supergirl’s partner in saving the world, or of course to protect Kara. Glad for him, anyway, bc that’s what’s he wants. And the blow to the head? It’s awesome.

11. I can’t believe Landon is blaming Hope for not coming to save him sooner?! What the hell? What happened to “I’m going to be the one that always fight to find Hope”, idk whether I quoted it precisely, but the meaning is there. I am furious. Is this some sick drama that the show wants Landon to think that Hope was not coming to him because she had a perfect version of him?? That aside, when I see that Handon is going to fight together physically, I actually think the scene is good and they will overcome the blaming thing, and going to be a power couple. Just when I have that thought, Landon have to fucking throw the artifact towards Malivore(whether it is Malivore I’ll discuss afterwards, it’s contradictory)!! That’s such a stupid move! Where’s your brain? And it’s broken, oh god. And the show have to show Hope being so weak during the fight. I mean why? She’s a badass, why do they have to make her weak to glorify Landon?? They made her look useless. These things just really kill the budding Handon spirit in me. The show really knows how to make people resent Handon and Landon. Just please change the show name.

12. Anyway to be fair, Landon do care for Hope and do love her. Before, though I don’t think they are endgame quality, I think that if they do improve, Handon endgame is tolerable, acceptable. But now, I’m not so sure of that anymore. Other than the above mentioned points, Landon did leave Hope for a solid third time. Why the show have to establish that for Handon when their fans desperately defended Landon that he wasn’t always leaving. I mean I’ve seen Handon shippers fought really hard against the “Landon is always leaving Hope” argument. What a way to make a couple being endgame. In Chinese proverbs, there’s a thing for a third time. Like the three strikes law, I think? It says not to do anything or tolerate anything undesirable that has happened more than three times. So please do not make Handon together ever again. It’s an insult to Hope too.

13. To see it differently, poor Hope will finally have time out of Landon to think of herself and her future. We need to see her having her own storyline. So maybe we can see Hosie eventually? Sorry Finsie for anticipating your break up in the future. But please enjoy yourselves when Hope grows on her own, because Josie deserves a decent relationship on screen too. Hosie didn’t interact this episode, I’m sad.

14. I just can’t help but wonder why Alaric oversee the artifact being destroyed so easily. And when Josie introduces Finch, she deserves a decent conversation with the headmaster, really. Oh he’s an adult, be a responsible and respectable one, especially you’re Josie dad. Help her with her impression with her crush. Alaric really need help, we need another adult figure. It’s okay that’s not Caroline.

15. I kind of thinking that Landon and Cleo are shippable too when I know that they are leaving at the same time. Cleo being the sole reason to Landon existence is one of the reasons to ship them. She’s the one that tell Malivore he can make vessels and create legacy, that leads to Landon existing. Not to mention she did literally made Golem Landon by hand (we all know the thing that Hope made doesn’t have a body, so Cleo must have made his torso and limps right). Or maybe we prefer wandon endgame? Wade is precious too, he’s the one that point out Landon is not himself.

16. I’m so confused by this episode Malivore. I thought Cleo trapped him inside that monster Handon defeated this episode. But if it was trapped this long? How did the pit, Clarke and Landon even exist? Did Malivore escape from it?? It must have escaped.

17. In the promo for the next episode, we’re seeing Lizzie and Hosie interaction! I’m excited! I think maybe Josie will be the one that bring Hope out of the cult’s enchantment. What will happen? Maybe they will realise something or develop something towards each other? Anything hosie that MAKE SENSE please. Oh and Hizzie friendship/banters, and Lizzie suddenly being and “angel” will be so fun to watch. Finally, the trio!

18. I know it’s irrelevant but since I mentioned Clarke, I miss Holarke. I have some shippable thoughts about Finch and Penelope too. P is the she-devil in good girl attire; F looks like a bad girl but she’s good hearted. They are both fiery, imagine what they’ll be like when they’re together, erupting volcanoes?

19. Applause to Aria’s acting skill, this is like the eleventh role he’s played in legacies? Original Landon, Hope’s (subconscious) Landon, Landon’s (subconscious) Landon, Josie’s SimuLandon, Hope’s therapy Landon, Malivore Landon, golem Landon, ptsd Landon, oni-possessed Landon, golem Landon micmicking Necromancer, Clarke-Landon. Keep up the good work!

Reacting to Legacies 3x03 (SPOILERS):

1. So ARE we FINALLY getting to some proper firstborn Mikaelson witch breakdowns?

2. Oh well, apparently no. They'll just try to wave it off as some one time thing probably.

3. So Hope and Landon are on a break. Okay. TBH watching them sass each other is interesting.

4. The guidance counselor is pretty much a compulsion monster, is that it? Well, I do like his wardrobe.

5. Alyssa's concern for MG is so fake I can't.

6. Nobody other than Jed read for Stefan? THE DISRESPECT.

7. Lizzie playing Caroline makes total sense but them asking Josie to play the lead without even an audition looks a bit bad TBH. Like, give the other interested people a chance, at least.

8. I find it a bit repetitive how there are mind-controlling monsters popping out again and again.

9. So MG is basically going through a phase similar to what Cami was going through when Klaus used to compel her at the beginning of TO. Considering Quincy's fondness for Cami, he must have liked playing that.

10. I understand that Landon is supposed to be a capable songwriter in-universe but it takes more than that to write and direct a musical and it's very weird that they didn't even find a guest star to pose as a Drama or English teacher who is guiding him or something. WHERE ARE ALL THE TEACHERS?

11. I kinda feel like some of the lead characters in this show are colour-coded. I see Hope and Landon in red and blue a lot (the two gowns we have seen Hope wearing also fall into this pattern) and Josie wears yellow in like, every other episode. If I recall correctly, Lizzie wears a lot of white, too. I wonder what the reasoning behind these choices are.

12. Well, I liked Hope and Landon's relationship in S1, I have no idea what was going on with it in S2, and I still don't know what to think about it.

13. Lizzie casts herself in Caroline's role and then chokes at rehearsal. Not totally unrealistic but still feels a bit forced to me. Would have been better if Landon cast her because she's Caroline's daughter and Lizzie was a bit apprehensive in the first place because she didn't want to mess up the role.

14. I appreciate the show taking a moment to talk about Lizzie's bipolar disorder though. It's been a while.

15. "Bonnie just disappears for long periods of time"? Dude, she's still super important and you're putting her in the play. Right? RIGHT?!

16. Landon, THANK YOU for pointing out how weird Caroline and Alaric's relationship was. The guy deadass got engaged to her and had a pissing contest over her with Stefan, that will never not gross me out.

17. So the monster is mind controlling Landon to put Klaus into the play. Saw this coming IG.

18. Hope is painting again, like her dad used to do when he felt things were going out of control. I've been rewatching TO and this is making me so emotional. I MISS KLAUS AND HIS SHENANIGANS. And not a single character on Legacies comes close to Klaus, Elijah and Hayley for me. (Sorry if this hurts anyone's feelings but Legacies really is a downgrade from TVD and TO)

19. Ugh, why would he use the contents of the letter as lyrics? Dude, is it because you're mind-controlled? No, I don't like this. Klaus loved Hope to the ends of the earth and wanted everyone to know but Hope wants to keep things private, and her wishes should have been respected.

20. So apparently Landon tries not to put Klaus' villainous antics into the show. Well, okay, it's definitely a copout but since he is Hope's boyfriend, makes sense. But I don't understand why the musical HAS TO BE about the Salvatore school. The accreditation excuse is lazy, writers! Also, Landon, my dude, Klaus was a major donor of the school. Put that in instead of the other things, stop pissing off your girlfriend FFS. Even if you're mind-controlled 🤦🏻‍♀️

21. I do find it funny how Landon is all gaga over Klaus' use of language though. The guy really did have the best lines, didn't he? (Tied with Elijah, I suppose, for me)

22. The other singers of the first song are really good so Kaylee sounds a bit rusty in comparison. Also, she reminds me too much of Dark!Josie with the hair and makeup. From a distance, she can be mistaken for Nina though.

23. I love that the backstage activities are being shown.

24. I'm digging Jed as Stefan and I really like his singing voice. And the Hero Hair wig cracked me up. Kaleb is obviously good at singing at it's nice to hear more from him. I also like how Chris Lee didn't try to exactly emulate Ian and played Damon how someone who has only heard about him might play him.

25. Is Hope painting herself before the pit or something? Or is this supposed to symbolize her despair at her parents' loss? ALSO, I WANT SOMEONE TO MENTION HAYLEY :( Why is Hayley so ignored?!

26. The same person probably wrote MG's notes and Caroline's letter IRL and therefore, in-universe, MG has Caroline's handwriting and it's funny to me.

27. Jenny sings well, I like it. I don't understand the song though, was Caroline actually ever feeling this insecure? I feel like the song became a lot more about Lizzie than her mother. (It's been forever since I watched TVD, if anyone has yet to guess, I prefer watching TO)

28. The doppelganger thing cracked me up.

29. Wait why did the monster attack Josie?! Ohhhh he's forcing Landon to improvise and put Klaus' song at the end. Well, I guess it makes it seem a bit less like Landon's fault. But would Hope know that?

30. It's hilarious how they lowkey make a call back to Nina leaving TVD and them having to put Elena in a sleep spell though.

31. Landon having a hissy fit is funny to me. Aria needs more comedic scenes.

32. Wait, where did Jade come from? Has she been in the school all these weeks?

33. While the scene seems a bit shabby to me, Klaus talking to Hope reminds me of their scene from TO 4X03. I needed more of Summer Fontana and Joseph Morgan together. Also, the donation did get mentioned, YASSSS. Man did some horrific things but he did fund the school so maybe a little less badmouthing in the presence of his daughter now that you know the story, eh, students?

34. The fact that the guidance counselor actually wore a leather jacket and a henley is cracking me up. It's really bizarre.

35. "Terrible painter" XD Klaus would have eaten you for saying that if he were alive.

36. Um, Hope, wouldn't you ask your family if you are doing enough to make your father proud, instead of this random bloke who supposedly met him once?! Maybe call Freya or Rebekah.

37. Why is this monster being nice to Hope? Doesn't it try to break people up or something? You'd think he'd try to piss her off even more and ruin her relationship with Landon.

38. Stefan was trying to be more like Damon by sacrificing himself? Um, what?

39. Well, this musical at least gave Stefan and Caroline a goodbye scene. I wonder how much the twins remember Stefan, must have been a bit emotional for Lizzie to play that. Jenny's singing was gooood, really liked it.

40. JED WAS GONNA KISS LIZZIE AND I WANTED IT TO HAPPEN. But a forehead kiss does work.

41. Hope's playing Elena now? What?

42. Ngl I want Hope and Jed to be friends. She needs more of a connection to her wolf side. Both of her parents wanted her to be surrounded by wolves and she's barely interacting with the wolves in this show, which always makes me sad.

43. So this monster can also do little spells and move physical objects eh? Whatever, this is random.

44. And this monster brings people back together? Why?

45. So when Hope is singing, is she doing it as Elena or Hope? She came on stage as Elena, but I thought the song is about Hope. So WHAT IS IT?

46. Oh Damon's on stage, so Hope is singing as Elena and it's a call back to the graveyard scene from the TVD finale.

47. Danielle sings pretty well. It's good she decided to perform this time.

48. Okay, that lifting up scene was adorable. I feel like Hope and Landon are at their cutest when they're a bit spontaneous. But she's Elena on stage and it lowkey looks like Landon crashed her romantic scene with Damon to kiss her so I'm cackling.

49. How much older is Jade supposed to be than Josie?

50. So is Josie going to leave the school for a while and that's why Ethan will be back in the picture?

51. Jade used to babysit Josie? Okay, it is hella awkward.

52. Josie why, don't do this, yikes. Kissing her once doesn't make it non-creepy.

53. The Sheriff feels kinda shoehorned to me. Also, I don't care for Matt Davis or his character.

54. So Candice did the voiceover for Caroline's letter. That's nice for the show. I still don't understand why the letter showed up in Hope's fireplace though LOL.

55. This episode should have spent more time exploring the aftermath of the loss of Rafael. The abrupt shift from the last episode wasn't nice.

56. Yeah, kids, talk out your problems, thanks.

57. I feel like Klaus is too much of a controversial figure that Hope's conflict about her father's reputation would be resolved in one day. This is feeling undercooked. Speaking of, when is one of Klaus' or Hayley's enemies coming after Hope, because she did inherit all of them. Would make for better storytelling than this monster of the week nonsense. And yeah, still no mention of Hayley, I hate this.

58. The monster's characterization was really odd to me and I am so tired of this format SMH.

59. So they toyed with MG for weeks to get a vampire for the spell? That sounds like too much effort. There are tons of vampires from Klaus and Rebekah's bloodline, they couldn't find another? Also, I wonder who is the wolf that they will use.

Well, I felt like this episode was mostly okay, but not that well-cooked or epic or whatever. What is horrific is that they didn't show Bonnie, though. They could have at least gotten a female black guest character who is one of the witch students or something. This is very offensive.

Also, I don't think it makes sense for the show to do any more musicals in the future. This ain't Riverdale.

Hi so I'm back with more thoughts/theories about Landon Kirby.

So this kinda bugged me a little bit idk if it bugged anyone else or not. But you know how we got a tiny bit of a backstory for Finch and a whole backstory for Cleo. Yet we still don't know anything about any other character in show(excluding Hope and the twins). We don't know how Jeb actived his wolf side. We don't know how Kaleb and MG became vampires. I mean they teased us about finding out how Kaleb became a vampire. But what bugged me a bit is the fact that we know more about Cleos past(a character who just showed up) than we do about Landons past(a main character who's been there since s1). The only things we know about his past is that he was in terrible foster homes and we only know two things that happened to him, that he was locked in a closet, probably more than once. And that he was burned with cigarettes. And that he was bullied. Other than that we know nothing about his past. We don't know where he was born, hell we don't even know when his birthday is. We don't know how he got his last name. Was it the last name of whoever found him? Was it just a random last name the government pick for him? We don't know how he got into music and sy/fy etc. I mean we're almost on s4 and still don't know anything about Landons past. And I think now would be the perfect time to give us more info on his past.

Which lead me to this theory/wish they'll do something like this. So you know how in s4 of TO when Hayley went into Elijahs mind. I'm think(and wish) they'll do something like that with Hope and Landon. Like Hope does a head dive into Landons mind to make sure he's still in there or maybe to see if he's in pain or something like that. Anyways she goes into his mind and she ends up in hallway filled with doors. Each door leads to a different memory. And that's how we'll learn more about his past and we can also see what Landon went through in s3.

But I also thought it would be fun if they did a twist on that. Like when Hope dives into Landons mind, she also ends up in malivores as well. Like one side of the hallway is Landons memories and the other side is malivores memories. So not only will we be learning more about Landon, we can also learn a little bit more about malivore as well.

Hi! Yeah, that bugs me as well. Like it’s great that we got to learn about Finch’s and Cleo’s backstories and see flashbacks of them, but why on earth have they not done anything for the rest of the characters??

Exactly, Finch and Cleo just got here and yet we know more about their pasts than we do about the main male characters after 3 seasons! They’ve had that long to show their backstories, so many opportunities, and they’ve done nothing. To the point that if they get into it now, at least with MG and Kaleb and Jed, it’s gonna be awkward because why did it take so long to find out? Although yeah, they did tease about it this last season, but still didn’t do anything. They literally had perfect opportunities too. Ethan and MG were talking about vampire stuff, and I seriously thought we were about to finally have MG explain how he became a vampire, and then they cut off the scene. It’s like a joke at this point. Same with Kaleb saying whatever vague thing he said (can’t exactly remember) about whoever turned him. Again, perfect opportunity to explain that, but no. And Jed is just there, with even less of a storyline than MG and Kaleb, despite also being a main, and of course we still know nothing about his past either or who he killed and how he triggered his werewolf curse. And so true, we still barely know anything about Landon’s past, just the basics, as well as Raf (I know he’s not on the show anymore, but still). All they’ve done for them is mention some stuff, just general ideas about how they were treated and abused. We got like a 5 second flashback of Landon in a closet, and we briefly saw Raf having that dream about his abusive foster parent. That’s it. And yet we didn’t have to wait long at all for an episode focusing on Finch’s backstory and another episode focusing on Cleo’s backstory, flashbacks included. I just... why?? I really don’t understand. I feel like season 1 should’ve been more about exploring and developing the characters and their backstories when they were first being introduced. But they got into all the monsters and the Malivore plotline so quickly and that became the priority, and it still is after all this time. They’ll put more effort into a monster that’ll be dead by the end of an episode than they have with characters that have been here for years. And that’s one of the reasons why the writing feels so weak at times imo.

And sorry to go off about that, but anyways, yes, there’s seriously so much about Landon we still don’t know! I wanna know the details of what his life was like growing up, and the extent of the abuse he went through because they’ve never gone into that much, like you said, besides him being locked in closets and burned with cigarettes. But ugh, yeah they can’t even tell us his birthday or where he was born. That was one of the questions Hope asked him in 1x05 and we still never found out, not even in the episode with Seylah. And I’ve wondered about his last name as well, though I’m guessing it was just random, but I still wanna know. And yes! I’ve thought about those things too! How did Landon get into all the movies and things that he loves while in foster care? How did he learn to play the guitar? And ikr! Like he’s the male lead! And we still know hardly anything about his past.

And I completely agree about now being the best time to show more about Landon’s past. They now have the perfect reason to go into his mind and show his memories. Oh yes, that same hallway of doors idea was talked about in a Handon Weekly episode too, and it’s crossed my mind as well, I’d love to see that. I’ve always thought that was such a cool way to show someone’s mind and all the different memories, so if they did that with Landon it would be so good! Though I do wonder if that was more specific to Elijah’s mind. And if Esther creating the red door maybe led to other doors within his mind being created to hold other memories? Idk, but either way, I’d absolutely love something like that with Landon. And for Hope to be going through his different memories, from his childhood, and also seeing what happened to him in the prison world, how he got possessed, what all has been happening since he got possessed, etc. But ooh that’s a cool idea about Hope being able to reach part of Malivore’s mind as well, it would make sense if she could. And yes, it would be a great way to learn more about Malivore, so that would be really interesting. Hopefully they do something like this, because Hope going into Landon’s mind to make sure he’s still there and to see what state he’s in and try to help him would be the obvious next step that she would take. And it would be such a natural way for them to show Landon’s memories, it would all make so much sense for the story at this point. But I can just see them wasting this opportunity tbh. It’s one of the things I’m most worried about in the coming episodes. And what also sucks is that it’s already been done, and we’ve still gotta wait like 2 more months to find out.

3x01: We’re Not Worthy

Welcome back witches! Last night, Legacies returned to us, so let’s get into it.

After the recap, we open up with Raf looking over Hope & Landon, with Landon doing a voiceover. “I’m sad my life has been cut short, but you taught me to live it to the fullest.” LANDON REALLY WAS ABOUT TO SAY ALWAYS & FOREVER.

Alaric addresses the school about moving through the dark times. Alyssa Chang is not being shy about her feelings towards Josie and Hope being absent.

MG has organized the first ever Salvatore School field day...yeah probably won’t go so well. Lizzie tells her dad that she’ll have to revert back to her means girl ways to get everyone to forgive & forget Josie and she’s “just not that person anymore”. However, after Alyssa magically tied Josies laces together, causing her to trip, Lizzie is more than ready to go.

The Necromancer busts in struggling with Landon who only Rafael can see. Bye Landon is so cute tf how do I go that long without seeing his face.

Let’s get this field day started! WADE GIVES ME LIFE. Lizzie has a plan up her sleeve. She’s challenging Alyssa to be captain so that Josie won’t be alientated. “Yea, she messed up, but you have been messed up your whole life.” Oh hell no, MG told Alyssa that she can choose the game.

Landon refuses to come back in order to prevent the Necromancer from gaining (more) black magic.

Alyssa chose tug of war and is on a team of vampires and werewolves. Lizzie makes Josie the anchor which obviously will not go well. My poor baby Jo gets covered in mud since everyone else dodged out in time.

“Hero moves always lead to tradgedy.”

Josie ends up telling Lizzie and the whole school that she can’t do magic because she put it away. She tells Lizzie she’s making everything worse, just like she used to. The Lady of the Lake comes with Wade, asking for his sword (which is Excalibers). The green knight comes, the sword flies into a stump, and the sky turns red.

Not gonna lie it kinda hurts me that there are people who won’t get the King Arthur references but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ew so Jed and Alyssa have some flirtationship. Pedro came back!...and the left again.

Rafael tells the Necromancer that he wants him to put Landon’s spirit in himself. Alaric speaks to Hope, telling her that he knows that she knows about Landon’s situation. Her still being in the sleep spell is delaying coming back and feeling that grief.

Lizzie reminds Alyssa that she is also a killer but at least her parents can’t see what she’s become. Which...yeah Alyssa sucks but my jaw DROPPED. But too far Liz. My Saltzman sisters were working together!

Um, so Chaddy tings the bell and is now with the Necromancer, Raf, & Landon. He’s looking for Hope to come defeat the green knight since she’s typically the one to save the day. Kinda hoping she won’t awaken til after tbh, because it gets kinda annoying that it’s always up to her (in my opinion).

JOSIE SAID OK BOOMER MAYBE IN YOUR TIME. OKAY QUEEN.

“Not exactly how I pictured dying, but what the hell.” MG gives directions for everyone and Josie asks: “Wait what are you gonna do? Something stupid, got it.” WHICH! Kaylee said was her favorite out-of-context line. MG punches the knight in the face which earns a growl? from him.

Raf takes Landon to see Hope.

Super squad is attempting holding the knight down the ropes. Anytime magic is used on him he gets angrier and MG unmasked him which had my eyes widening. Yay! Raf is the worthy one...unLESS ITS ACTUALLY LANDON IN RAF which I’m hoping isn’t the case. He stabs the green night, and blue skies return.

Not Landon giving Hope a non-consensual kiss ✋🏼but as fairy-tales go, she’s awaken.

“She thinks I should be the focus for once.”

Josie is going to spend some time with her mom. Handon cuddles and reflects on each other. Raf is such a dork I love him.

Alyssa talks to Chad. He’s going back to the ice cream palace but then like DIES. THE FUCK. Alyssa wonders if the same thing will happen to her since they were linked, but the Necromancer offers her a deal.

15. Hope x Roman- okay he was part of a group to kill her mom, and was supposed to seduce her, and i’m glad he’s redeemed himself but you can’t fix a relationship built on that kind of lie

14. Lizzie x Sebastian- I have not liked them from the start, he just lied to her too much and then tried to turn her into a vampire and yes, he heroically sacrificed himself but I could never been into that

13. Josie x Jade- Literally, no idea why people are so into them, we’ve barely seen them together and I didn’t really love any of their scenes.

12. Lizzie x Rafael- I love Lizzie, I love Raf, I do NOT love Lizzie and Raf. He wasn’t ready for a relationship, she was not in a place to talk about his emotions, they both used each other. . . they are better apart.

11. Alyssa x Jed- I don’t really have strong feelings about them, but I liked seeing how Alyssa had humanized Jed a little

10. Alyssa x Kaleb- This came out of no where and I also don’t really care about it. Tbh they are only on here cause I felt bad that Kaleb wasn’t on this list

9. Josie x Hope- I mean, I get it, I do but also .. . I really am . . .not super invested in their relationship. I do like them in an ot3 with Landon a lot though.

8. MG x Kym- MG has amazing chemistry with everyone, it’s crazy. He and Kym were super sweet and I’m sad we didn’t see more of them. However, his heart eyes for Lizzie were still strong during s2, so it felt unfair to Kym.

7. Hope x Rafael- I love their scenes together, I do, but it feels a little one sided. Their chemistry is off the charts but if they got together, it would destroy Landon. Anyways, rip but alternate version of Legacies could have really made these two work.

6. Josie x Penelope- So their chemistry was off the charts and their love for each other incredibly apparent but Penelope didn’t respect Josie’s wishes and bullied her sister. They have potential to become epic if Penelope comes back and I’ll always love the scenes between just the two of them, but the overall context of their relationship never worked for me.

6. Josie x Landon- Man, I love a dorky teenage couple who acts like teenagers and learn to communicate. Their relationship was a surprise but it worked. They give me warm and fuzzy feelings still and had the sweetest break up scene. I wish they lasted longer.

5. MG x Nia- Gack, these two were adorable, and they had almost an entire episode where they both helped each other become better people. Truly lots of potential, esp considering they only got one episode. This couple will always have a special place in my heart.

4. Josie x Rafael- I know, I know, how did a couple that had barely any time together get so high on my list? Well, one, they are amazing. Two, I’m bitter and have a long memory. God, when she says, I care too much, it’s kind of a problem, and he’s like, that doesn’t sound like a problem to me, ughhhh, I died. This could have been a beautiful slow burn but I don’t think they even interacted after episode 6 of season 1. I loved that Raf inspired Josie to take charge and she inspired him to connect to the wolves. I thought this was Josie’s best relationship in the show.

3. Lizzie x MG- Wow, if you had told me during season 1 I would have loved this couple, I would have been super skeptical. But strangely, I am very invested in these two. For so long, this was one sided, and felt very childish. But MG really came into his own and became partners with Lizzie and she is finally willing to reexamine her relationship with MG. He loves how chaotic and take charge she is and she truly loves how open and giving he is. They balance each other surprisingly well and I really would love to see them in a long term relationship. (also she renamed him and wow, I love that)

2. Lizzie x Hope- I don’t think I realized I’m a Hizzie shipper. I swear, I did not even make this list thinking they would be in my top 5 but they feel right. I love the trope of defrosting the ice queen and I love that they were like, enemies but it never felt like bullying, it felt like a rivalry of sorts. S2 they stepped UP. I mean,their bond is so strong, they had so much screen time together, their chemistry if off the charts. . . All my favorite Lizzie scenes in s1 were with Hope. I love them reexamining their past, I love their banter, I love the trust they have in each other . . . Yeah. I’m not holding my breath but I’d love them to be canon.

1. Hope x Landon- This might make me basic but I can’t bring myself to care. These two had me from the start. I think it was how vulnerable they got with each other. They have this . . . openness, even when Hope is mad at him. And this pull towards each other. . .And seeing them learn to be even more open and honest is so lovely to me. Also, the fact that they just, hold each other so often. Man. I just absolutely adore them. She makes him stronger, he makes her more open. . . It’s really beautiful.

(Mostly Mun ramblings here about inspiration on Jed’s Face HeadCanon and even some remastering it’s getting on my side. It gets long, but there are some pictures! )

Alright, so That’s super awesome that you guys are givin’ such good faces!!! When I decided on the HC for Jed, It was an odd mix of... Skeet Ulrich and Ryan Reynolds. “Why Ryan?” Well, personality mostly, but seriously, also because Ryan had a face that was...unique but also... normal? (Also cause he has a bigger forehead, and that suited Jed fine) That’s kind of what my general basis was. Also, I loved him when he played an unstable and lighthearted killer role (which wasn’t Deadpool but I loved him in that too tho). Had to look charming enough to be a journalist and blend in, but perhaps with a slight edge? Like he probably is on his fourth cup of coffee after a late night stalking someone and is having to be a normal person again. I’m fairly certain that’s why you guys say he looks like Tom Hardy/Eddie HAHA! Another photographer/journalist who has to manage two lives and is slightly unstable. (It’s a super huge compliment hearing this, considering my art/line style, especially the one used on this blog, was inspired a while back by the Mad Max Fury Road comic book art style. Guess it’s coming back to haunt me. At least in a good way, I hope.) And the others are just awesome and I could totally see them! Truthfully he probably looks like a lot of people because his face was intended to be so....general. An average dude who makes himself look nice to mask himself. ANYWAY, I found something tasty only recently! His add-on (ID/Driver License) was added to the wiki, which let me see it clearly!

Granted, he was probably younger here, at least I imagine but I also was like: “Ooh. I want to try and make mine look slightly more similar now-” Because I’m nothing if not a nerd who likes staying close to canon. So, I blended both my current HC and splashed in the facial structure closer to the ID photo. Original HC:

Not going to lie, the person he reminded me of was when I saw the ID was Norman Reedus hahaha, (It may have been the hair) though I’m sure, again, he looks like a whole new variety of people. But yeah. Not too different, hopefully? Don’t let the shading fool you, he’s still just as lame as before, just now with a more square jaw... “Why the short hair still?” Well, Because my only reference for the longest time was this photo here:

And the stubble because it makes him look like he hadn’t taken care of himself too much near his arrival into the realm, which is what was suggested considering he let himself starve to hunt someone. Running from the law is best done on a full stomach, kids. “So he has a scar?” Probably? Unless That’s an artistic line indicator. Though I’d like to imagine since he was younger in his ID, at most in his early 20s, he was still getting a hang of slicing people up. Remember how clumsy ghostface was in the original scream movies? Yeah. Jed/Danny likely had to learn to be stealthy the hard way, through years of perfecting the craft. What a chaotic asshole. --- Anyway, I think I’m done here? Man! he is the eldest of three. he has two younger sisters and he is the classic Protective older brother.

growing up was quite uneventful in the best of ways. theo had a pretty pleasant childhood. loving parents and a relatively healthy, happy family. he went through the normal awkward puberty phase, endured his share of teenage bullies, struggled his way through history & physics

while he was always quite close to both of his parents, his father and him bonded over their love of music at quite a young age. theo grew up knowing not to touch his dad’s vinyl as it was his sacred collection. still the boy would listen at any chance he got. hc theo layin in his basement floor listenin to all the oldies.the rolling stones stan right here u will hear beast of burden blastin from his room

he had his own bond over music with his mother as well. as a young child she taught him basics on the piano -- she wasn’t a teacher of any sort, but she taught him all she could until it was time to start taking lessons. piano lessons came first. he really wanted to jump right into guitar tbh, but he got looped into taking piano lessons. when he got to middle school you had to have a certain number of years in piano to take up percussion in his music class and guess who had those years of piano lessons under his belt !!! u guessed it theodore !!! this is where his love of the drums came !!!

this boy has a niche for instruments. it didn’t just stop with the piano and drums. theo got his guitar lessons, went through a harmonica phase, he’s dabbled with a bass. he can write a melody better than he can write a text. once it comes to lyrics he’s done for -- theo just isn’t very good with words.

he moved out to portland fresh at 18 -- it’s where he attend uni... many... years.. ago. he’s been in portland for 9 years! he met friends and pretty much decided to settle down here after graduation. he’s hoping the band will take off and he won’t actually need to settle anywhere ever -- theo is about that touring life

he’s in a band called the fugitives with his pals & roommates clark and jed!!

big computer nerd tbh this kid went to uni for computer science?? what?!? he graduated w a job offer to get into app developing, but didn’t take it bcos music was his priority

tbh theo is an irresponsible mess most of the time.

he sleeps through his alarms – literally will wake up late in the afternoon every day, is constantly late to everything. all his closest pals know if u want theo to be On Time you have to tell him to get there at least a half hour before he really needs to be. on many occasions in his adolescence he has been fired from his jobs because of missing shifts/calling out

maybe u could see this coming, but he’s pretty much a night owl. he’ll stay up into the wee hours of the morn dickin around and sleep the day away.

overall pretty loud and outgoing

is extremely flighty and unreliable when it comes to all things romantic. although it doesn’t FEEL like it to him, he’s actually pretty charming.

BACKGROUND

grew up an only child, had as average of a childhood as one could imagine. he was a smart, level-headed, and observant kid, albeit quiet and happy to keep to himself. a bit of weirdo, but he was fine, really.

however as he grew older, it became apparent that something was holding him back. on the rare occasion that he would talk with others, he consistently spoke too rapidly, his words sounding disorganized and abnormally ‘jerky’. it was difficult for others to understand him, and with several of his school teachers insisting, he was introduced him to a speech-language pathologist who diagnosed him with a speech disorder.

in his own head, he was fine. he never felt to struggle, therefore how could there possibly be anything wrong with him? he was quick to resent therapy, especially as several years passed and he had little improvement. from there, he continued to struggle through primary school, his hostility growing the older he got.

he was 6 when his parents separated, resulting in him being whisked away from his childhood home in san antonio with his mother. from there, things got a little rough. god dang kids were mean, his perfect marks suddenly turned into horrible grades, he distanced himself even more… basically, he was miserable. he was bitter and angry at all times, and he was an outcast, his constant silence doing nothing to help the bottled emotions. slowly, however, he found an outlet in writing and music. it helped him to organize his thoughts and words into carefully crafted poetry. it first began in the form of piano lessons, much to the relief of his mother who had come up with the idea as a desperate attempt to help her son find means of expression. from there, with his newfound appreciation for music, he seemed to excel at every instrument he touched.

for the first time in his life, he seemed to be changing… improving. his friend group was small, but they were bonded together by a mutual love for music, one that helped them to form their own band first for fun, but it would slowly take them where they never rlly imagined it would. **so uhhh this is the part where i’m gonna whip up a wc to toss on the main**

as the band progressed into… something, the world suddenly became pretty real. the stress, the sleepless nights, the small crowds, the constant criticism and the feeling of being scrutinized by every person at every moment… they may have only achieved minor success, but it was still no place for someone like jed, who tried to hide behind his bandmates and his awkwardly long hair, shying away from any form of publicity as he went.

enter the jed who went from “hello sir, it’s nice to finally meet you” to “ya daughter calls me daddy too”. no more hiding behind his awkwardly long hair, avoiding everyone and everything. nah, he pulled out all the stunts; he cut his hair and he changed his style, forcing a sense of arrogance and swaggering confidence until he didn’t know who he was trying to fool more anymore. he’s hated every minute of it, but he’s become a bit lost in it all

PERSONALITY & THINGS

jed is… a lot, tbh. his personality is an overall odd and temperamental one that many people seem too impatient to handle. this persona that he’s adopted is no real reflection of him at all. beneath it, he is still very much the reserved young man he once was, with his ever-wandering thoughts that he often gets wrapped up in. for real, he’ll stare off into space without warning like he’s stoned af, but i promise he’s not. he’s too Tired™ almost always to even bother acting interested when he’s not.

over the years, he’s learned to be a bit more... comfortable with himself. there was a time when the topic of sexuality would have him running and hiding (which was the exact cause of his one and only real relationship ending – one that he’s still not over), but nowadays, it’s one of the few things he confidently owns, maybe even more than his own music.

he can be quite charming when he feels up to it, but more often than not, he’ll ramble on about nonsensical things with long pauses and a lot of ‘like’s and ‘um’s. get him talking about a topic he knows a lot about, and hold on tight for the wild ride.

he has a permanently unamused face, but beneath that, it’s a party in that head of his.

though impossibly lonely, he prefers his own company and often deters others with a rather brash attitude, but for those that kindly and patiently earn their way to his heart, they certainly have his loyalty and friendship for life<3 tbh, force a few hugs on him, and he’ll eventually love you. after all, he can’t stand to be alone with his own thoughts for long

After a hectic week I can finally sit down and dedicate the next hour or so to continue my story because I really want to get to the part which I'd like to hear your opinion - and everyone else's - about!! ☆ Long Story Anon

So we kept messaging for the following days, both busy with our respective classes; but before I knew it and I can't say I was surprised, he invited me to do something again less than a week later. We're from a considerably small city, there isn't much to do around here, so we had a hard time coming up with an idea. Well, he suggested to pick me up and we'd go back to his house to eat something, to which I agreed. I was with my friend and we were both jumping around from excitement ☆ 1

Needless to say my friends all loved him; they were happy that after such a long time and with such bad luck in love I finally found what seemed to be the last guy on earth who was worth more than two seconds of my life. I knew going to his house implied something more serious than making out could happen, but honestly I didn't mind if it did. In context, he lived with his little brother and parents; where we're from it's common at our age to still live at home since we've not graduated yet ☆2

But he'd mentioned during the first date that his parents were away for an anniversary holiday and his little brother was staying with the oldest one who lived in his own apartment with his fiance; meaning we had the house for ourselves. As planned he picked me up and took me there, had some food delivered and we watched terrible horror films on netflix. He'd cheesily try to put his arm around me on the couch and I'd move closer, ending up snuggled together with my heart about to burst ☆ 3

At one point both brothers and the fiance show up with some food, for some reason and that's when I knew half his family on the second date lol. But they moved upstairs quite quickly after eating and left us alone to watch the movies. Eventually he'd kiss my cheek, not-so-subtly letting me know he wanted to KISS-kiss me, but me being the nervous little shit I am didn't really know what to do. It'd been two whole years since I even attempted to make out with someone!! ☆ 4

So he had to move even closer and he said, which I'll never forget: "you're so shy", which I wasn't surprised about, it's not common for a 22 year old to be that reserved, I guess, but with a little bit of patience that single moment turned into the best first kiss I've ever had. I was so scared he'd be a terrible kisser, like I'd experienced before bc that's just a deal breaker for me and everything else about him was so perfect; but boy...was I wrong. We ended up making out for so long that ☆5

Our lips hurt, and he didn't even try to go too far, already noticing that I wasn't the kind of girl to tear off our clothes and start fucking (not that I didn't wish I were lol), so he just held me tight and took me home eventually. God, the memory of his kisses will never leave my mind. You know, like if he had intention of seeing other girls at the same time he wouldn't be parading me around for everyone to see, which only fed my hopes of him being 'the one' even more ☆ 7

Another week passed and out of the blue he was asking me to meet his parents. He was very lowkey about it; he said he missed me, mentioning they'd returned from NY and asking if we could meet again that night, but "my parents would be there too, is that a problem?" lol. So I said no, obviously, even though I was shitting my pants, I'd never met a boy's parents in that context before but he seemed excited. He picked me up and we drove back to his place where they were waiting for me ☆ 8

I decided I didn't want to read too much into it back then, but still couldn't help but notice that the older borther+fiance had dropped plans to go to dinner with us so 'the whole family would be there to meet me'. Did that mean him bringing a girl home wasn't that common? Was I actually that special? As if I didn't notice myself falling fast and hard for me enough, his whole family welcomed me with huge open arms. His little brother, extroverted as they come at the age of 10 did everything ☆9

To include me in the conversations; the older brother would tell embarrassing stories. The parents, both doctors, both dating since college and pretty much the whole family (fiancee included) were some of the most welcoming people I'd ever met. They treated me like a family member from the very beginning and noticing how nervous I was they would try to make the dinner as easy going as they could. The guy in question, let's call him Jed? Would hold my hand under the table to calm me down ☆ 10

Or rub soothing circles over my the fabric of my jeans to distract me when a family member would embarrass him. I fell in love with his family as fast as I fell in love with him and I just couldn't believe I'd found someone so perfect. We'd make out until our lips were sore and he'd drop me off at home always leaving me with a feeling of sadness that I had to say goodbye. He made me so happy that I started to go out more, meeting my friends I was just in such a good mood because of him ☆ 11

I'd even dare to say he made me a better person in ways only I can understand. He'd text me what he was doing or who he was with every day, all the time, even if I didn't ask -which I never did. Sure, he wasn't perfect; sometimes he'd forget we had plans. I have a feeling he lied to me a couple of times but about nothing really major; sometimes he'd be in a bad mood and be sarcastic and annoying af but honestly nothing too bad. All in all I had absolutely nothing to complain about him☆ 12

It wasn't until around a month and a half into the 'relationship' that we went out for drinks and then back to his place that he tried to have sex with me (he'd waited to bring it up more than any other guy I'd ever met lol). I didn't directly tell him I was a virgin, he kinda guessed, and he was more than okay with it, even saying 'I'll wait as long as you want to'; and damn I didn't really want to wait that long, it was just that the time was never right! ☆ 13

At this point we'd both had dinner with his parents several times already. They told me in that household they'd set the habit of having dinner together every night, and were more than happy to let me into their little tradition. At more casual nights we'd sit down and watch some film on netflix, the parents and little brother always moving upstairs at the end and leaving us both alone to make out some more lol. I was even invited to his dad's birthday dinner at a fancy ass restaurant ☆ 14

So by the third month I already felt part of that family tbh. His little brother would tell jokes or ask me to teach him some guitar and I think they began to love me as much and as fast as I loved them, honestly. I was even invited to the dog's birthday part lmfao I was just unable to attend but was kindly provided with video memories ☆ 15

Everything was going so perfect, I think we could've lasted so much longer but maybe just the timing wasn't right. I still remember him dearly though, but back then I had my heart broken so bad that I simply wish I'd never met him. What hurt the most was growing so attached to his family and then out of the blue, and without a single chance to say goodbye I never saw any of them again. I should've known life isn't a movie or a book and nothing that starts so well can end just as happily ☆ 16

The last night I went to his house - btw we never visited MY house because MY family as much as I love them to death aren't as welcoming as his was with me, so until I knew FOR SURE this guy and I were serious, I decided to suggest activities that required not being at my place lol - the whole evening started weirdly. He'd been taking longer than usual to text me, and it was getting too late so I though we just weren't doing anything but he insisted he wanted to see me ☆ 17

And fuck, I wanted to see him to, once or twice a week just wasn't enough anymore and I missed his touch so badly. So I agreed for him to pick me up, even though he kind of strung me along for a few hours. By the time he picked me up I hadn't eaten, not knowing wth we were going to do but he said he'd had dinner before picking me up. Why would he though? He knew we had plans, which usually involved dinner, why not wait for me for eating? Either way, I'd missed him, I wasn't about to fight ☆ 18

We reached his place and his mom was already going upstairs for sleeping along with the little brother; the father was performing a surgery so we were alone at the living room together. He was a little tense and I didn't understand why, he said he was tired because he'd had class up until late and I asked if he just wanted me to leave but he asked me not to; he wanted to see me, he wanted me to stay. We cuddled on the couch and I had to wake him back up several times, growing annoyed ☆ 19

And when the dad got home he quickly got up and pretended to do something in the kitchen. The man had to eat and we had to wait for him to leave to sit back together, the whole situation was awkward af. I was wondering if I should just call a cab and leave, but he insisted not to. At around 2am (it was a friday) while making out he asked if I wanted to go up to his room, to which I said yes. He knew what that meant, so he was excited about it, going upstairs to check if his room was clear ☆ 20

Chapter I - Catching Fire

um, ok, so here it goes? the first chapter of my Finn/Daniel fanfic. i want to eventually post this on AO3, so idk if I’ll add another chapters here, but let’s say this is.... a trial?? first of all, i have no idea how tags on AO3 work and tbh they scare me, also, as i said in the previous post, i’m not a native english speaker and i often mix up the tenses and stuff (also the quotation marks are wrong, i mean, not english but czech, but i didn’t think i was gonna publish this when i was writing it so... yeah. and i’m not editing that shit now),

so.. that’s a thing. i’ll be happy for any kind of feedback, especially if it’d about some typos or stuff like that! now i’ll keep trying to gather courage to put this on AO3 :’D

People say that everyone has a home somewhere, waiting for them. The courier‘s oldest brother used to say that, but the way he spoke about home – for him, it was a concept to be abandoned, useless, futile. Veronica used to say that when she talked about the Brotherhood of Steel and her ideas about its inovations, and she said it even after what she was evicted from the order and refused to step inside the bunker. Ulysses, whose home was irretrievably destroyed, said this to her, and he stayed true to his words, watching over the land and its horrors to this very moment.

Her father used to say that, and when he said that, he spoke about their mountain cabin in the Mahagony Mountains in Utah.

That cabin was irretrievably lost now, incinerated into ash and burned carbon. One could say home isn’t a place, but a person; but her father was gone as well, crucified by the Caesar’s Legion.

The courier, Finley Jäger, didn’t have a home. She thought California could become her home, but the forced patriotism couldn’t replace the feeling of safety and certainty. She thought Nevada could become her new home, but that very thought forced her to flee the country to… this place.

The courier didn’t have a home. She used to have a mountain cabin, and she used to have a father. Now she stood in the Zion Canyon, and she realized that she’ll never be closer to that memory than now.

This feeling, this moment – you’ll never have it again.

„Hey, Finley,“ Jed’s voice interrupted her. When she turned to face him, the caravaneer working for the Happy Trails Company spoke again: „I was sayin‘ that in case the New Canaanites won‘t be able to get us back home, you’ll step in with your Pip-Boy and your maps. Since Ricky run away, you’re our only option. We can count on you, right?“

Finley, known as Finn among friends, raised her thumb up.

„I’ll take that as a yes,“ Jed squinted, and the courier responded: „Yeah. Sorry, was savoring the moment here.“

„It sure is beautiful here,“ Stella said. With that, Finn finally stepped away from the ledge.

Jed sighed loudly. „Enough lollygagging! Get moving and keep an eye out for tribals!“

„Sir, yes, sir,“ Finn answered avidly and the caravan started moving again with two mercenaries in front, two behind them, Jed in the middle and her and Stella right behind him. Stella adjusted the rifle on her back and interjected: „Sorry to bother you with reality, ol' Jed. Who cares if we can't get back out the way we come? That's not a problem.“

„It’s simply the way it is,“ Jed answered, visibly trying not to sigh again, and slightly sped up to avoid more remarks of his companion. Stella obviously didn’t miss it as she muttered under her breath: „Heard you the fifteenth time, Stella. What's it matter if we're trapped here? Everything will be just fine.“

„What’s this about?“ Finn asked, surprised by Stella’s anxiety.

„Well, if you were listening, my dear courier, you’d have heard me expressing my deep concerns over us getting home, because we sure as hell ain’t going back the same way,“ Stella said, and the courier just shook her head: „Hey, we’re cool, I got my maps and everything!“

„Just like you got your big backpack and everything?“

The courier puckered her lips: „You just won’t let that go, will you.“

„Well, considering the fact that you stated that you’ve been here, I found it really curious that you thought you could bring a whole damn armoire with you,“ Stella answered.

Before the courier could answer anything, Jed suddenly stopped dead on his tracks, looking alerted – both of the women almost bumped into him.

„What’s up, Jed?“ Stella asked with an obvious hint of the everpresent anger in her voice; but the caravaneer put finger to his lips, shushing her instantly. Then he said very, very quietly: „Hold on, now... could swear I heard something up ahead.“

In that very moment, the mercenary in front of them fell to the ground. Dead.

„Fuck,“ Finn breathed out as the brain of father of tree and rancher from California of the name Timothy Wells splattered on the ground. „Fuck,“ she breathed out again when she was crawling for cover behind a boulder with Stella following her.

Fuck, fuck, fuck.

„Goddammit, ambush! Cover, people! Watch yourselves!“ Jed screamed and did the same, hiding behind a boulder close to her. Finn pulled out her weathered 10mm pistol, which she truly didn’t expect to pull out so soon, and aimed at one of the ambushers placed on the cliff above them. But the paint on his face, his braids, his weapon-

„Holy hell, it's the White Legs! What are they doing this far south?“ Jed screamed to confirm her worries, and Finn breathed in, and out, because-

It seemed – it seemed her worst worries came true. She came all this way for nothing. She came to herself just in the moment to crouch to the ground to evade a flying tomahawk, which, luckily, pushed her back to reality. There’ll be time for mourning later.

If there’ll be a later.

„Goddammit, never should joined this assbackwards caravan,“ Stella cursed under her breath and fired a few shots from her laser rifle. Finn fired a few shots at the White Legs on their terrain level, because she had a scant view on the White Legs above them in her current position. She looked around and found out that most of the mercenaries, which the company hired, were dead.

„We’re sitting ducks here!“ Stella screamed. „We need to get out of here, fast!“

„There’s no way out of here!“ Jed screamed back. Finn looked down from the cliff to the river which flew through the canyon. It’d be… quite a fall. But they couldn’t push through the tribals. And they couldn’t go back. They were, very effectively, trapped – and they were losing.

„Enough of this!“ Stella suddenly screamed and stood up. „Here I come! I was a sheriff once, goddamn it!“

With that, she charged at the White Legs.

„Stella!... Oh no! Don't you die on me, woman, you hear?“

Finn shot at another tribal, killing her. At least she thought she did. It seemed like whenever they killed one, another one popped up from nowhere. They had to get out of here.

„Jed! We need to go!“

„There’s nowhere to go!“

„We can just jump down-“

„Are you out of your mind?!“

„We can’t fight through them!“

Suddenly, a blast threw both of them a few feets back. The only thing Finn heard for a while was an annoying humming noise, and then it was humming coming from Jed’s pistol who shot down a tribal woman coming at them with a shishkebab. A shishkebab. Where the hell did they get these weapons?

Something pulled her up to her feet – Jed – and gave her an intense look, and screamed, but Finn had problems comprehending what he was trying to say.

„On your feet! Keep fighting! Come on, I got ya…“

He tried to move them both behind another cover. But it was too late. It was always too late.

The young missionary, Daniel Young looked down from a cliff to look at the Narrows and it inhabitants, currently waking up to a new day. The Sorrows got up and went to sleep with the Sun; the Sun’s been up for two good hours and the tribals were cooking fish on the fire, getting ready for scouting the area, waiting for the morning service.

He was walking around the camp for two good hours. When he woke up after five in the morning, he managed to calm himself down by this perambulation (perambulations) around the Narrows, but it never really helped. And it surely didn’t help him rest.

It’s been a long time since Daniel had a good night sleep. Sleep used to be an escape for him, from this world to the world of what could have been; now it’s become an obligatory route to the world of what happened, what he saw, what he had to see, and his mind was forcing him to go through these moments again and again and again. Sleep was, of course, necessary for survival, but Daniel Young wasn’t its greatest fan, so to say.

Now, he’d usually go over his supplies, but honestly, there wasn’t much to go over. It’s been a long time since he’d seen some proper supplies, and the situation wasn’t getting any better. He didn’t have the time to go look for them himself, and the Sorrows couldn’t go either, considering most of the tourist spots taboo. And then there was always Joshua, telling him that they don’t really need the supplies. That there’s a simpler solution.

Much simpler solution.

Daniel sighed and adjusted his hat. Watching over the Sorrows always woke some inner peace in him; Zion had the same effect, being as beautiful as it was. Daniel wished he could stay, but…

He turned to look at the Zion Canyon, spread in front of him like a picture.

But what he actually saw made him stare in shock.

Even though he was stuck in his inner monologue, which usually lasted for a long time (because he usually thought about what could go wrong and there was always a lot of things which could go wrong), his eyes managed to ignore his inner dilema and registered an atypical appearance disturbing the awakening landscape – he saw two persons.

People.

The first one he recognized. The tribal markings of the Dead Horses, the cap – he remembered this particular scout, and if he remembered correctly, his name was Follows-Chalk. The other figure, however, was a whole different story.

First of all, it wasn’t a tribal. It was, very clearly, an outsider – and Daniel knew outsiders. He knew mercenaries, NCR prospectors, raiders. Which one of these was the woman accompanying the scout, that he did not know, but he immediately got that suspicion that she’s up to no good. Maybe he was wrong, of course, and it was wrong to judge someone by the first impression.

But the thing was, first impressions mattered now – and they especially mattered when he had a tribe to protect.

He woke up from his reverie (though he was not sure this was the right term to call it) and headed down from the cliff. He passed some of the Sorrows‘ scouts who gave him confused, questioning looks, meaning that they became aware of the people approaching as well. He simply nodded at them, suggesting that he has the situation under control.

Which he did not.

Once he got in their line of sight again, the scout and the woman saw him too. He finally got a good look on the woman – ashen hair, freckles spread on her face, a hunting rifle on her back. The scout looked mildly distressed, but he seemed to be keen on following her. That, however, didn’t have to mean she posed no danger to him. To the Sorrows.

Daniel thought, and immediately regretted the sentiment – how much better would it be if she run into Joshua instead of him. It surely was strange that her first stop was here, and Daniel just felt his heartbeat getting faster, possesed by fear.

Finally they stood face to face, the woman measuring him with her gaze. He realized that his hand was on his holster, but it was too late to appear charitable now.

„Uh... I apologize if this comes across as a less-than-cordial welcome,“ he said. „But how did you get in here? You from the Mojave?“

The woman opened her mouth, and closed it. It appeared that she was considering what to answer, or more likely, in which way to answer. However, before she actually said anything, Follows-Chalk replied for her: „She came with a caravan, but the White Legs ambushed them! She is the only survivor.“

The woman didn’t say anything, only gave the scout a quick look. A quick one, as if she wanted to keep her eyes on him. Then she finally spoke.

„A Happy Trails Caravan, yeah. If the name rings any bells. Not like it has to anymore. Everyone’s. You know,“ she paused, and added in much quieter voice: „Dead.“

The way she said it made Daniel freeze in the spot for a second. He wasn’t sure if to let go of his holster or just hold it tighter. And yet, another emotion, besides whatever this was, was sympathy.

He decided to put his hand away from his gun.

„That’s,“ he sighed. „I'm so sorry. That's terrible. The tribals, White Legs – we’ve been having a lot of problems with them recently.“

The woman didn’t say anything, so he continued: „In fact, that's why I'm here. I'm Daniel, a New Canaanite missionary to this tribe, the Sorrows. I think it important that you speak to my colleague, Joshua Graham-“

„That’s what I said, but she refused,“ the scout said urgently. The woman scowled and said: „That’s not how I’d put it, I simply decided to seek alternatives.“

Daniel paused. „I – okay. I’d simply feel more comfortable if-“

„No offense, but you’re sending me to Joshua fucking Graham. We came here looking for New Canaanites, not the infamous ex-Legate!“

Daniel blinked few times, slowly. „Joshua Graham is a New Canaanite, just like me. I assure you, he is on our side here.“

„Our side?“ the woman parroted. „You including me in that sentiment as well now, huh?“

„Sentiment?“

„As far as I’m concerned, I’m not on your side. I was supposed to get our caravan to New Canaan, not into this bullshit, so I’d truly prefer getting out of here, you know? Now.“

Daniel nodded, resisting the urge to sigh. He felt like he had enough of her sass for the day and yet, they just began talking. „Listen, I understand that this isn’t what you signed up for. But we didn't ask you to come to Zion. As far as I'm concerned, you're an uninvited guest. In better times, I'd drop everything to help you out, but… these are not those times. And I’d truly prefer if you talked to Joshua about what’s happening here.“

The woman gave him a sharp look. Daniel didn’t know how to properly describe it, but there was hesitation in her eyes, hesitation which very closely reminded Daniel of fear.

Of course.

He could’ve realized it sooner – the courier was hesitating simply because she was afraid of Joshua. Maybe not, of course, but – that look spoke for everything. He’d recognize ít everywhere, specifically because it was residing on faces of all New Canaan inhabitants when he brought Joshua back home, broken, burnt, left to die.

It was only natural, of course. But in this situation, most unwelcome. Daniel gave the woman a long look, thinking about his possibilites.

„You’re injured,“ he suddenly remarked, noticing the wound on her shoulder. It was a simple cut, probably done by White Legs‘ blade, and the woman not being aware of it only proved its triviality; she quickly touched the wound, obviously confused.

„Oh. It’s nothing, really,“ she said.

„Want me to take a look? I’m a doctor. Of sorts.“

„Well…“

„I could fill you in in the meantime. I still think you should at least go to introduce yourself to Joshua, but I can see that you need to understand the situation first.“

The woman finally understood his intention. She gave him a surprised look; honestly, Daniel was surprised himself, but he didn’t want to throw this woman in what she considered a lion’s den. Maybe if he explains her the basics of what’s going on, she won’t be so hesitant about talking to Joshua – and cooperating with Joshua in general.

„Alright, yeah,“ she said. „I think that’d be wise.“

Now it was time for Follows-Chalk to look uneasy. „What should I do then? Should I head back to Joshua and tell him the news?“

„Yes, if you could be so kind,“ Daniel nodded. „Tell him that – um…“

He still didn’t know her name. That was embarrassing.

„A courier,“ the woman chipped in. „Finley.“

„Right, just tell him that Finley will arrive soon and that there’s much for them to discuss, but she’s injured as of now.“

„Can you make it back safe?“ the courier asked.

„I’m going to be okay,“ Follows-Chalk said and smiled. „See you later then, yes? I can not wait!“

The courier nodded, flashing him a smile as well, even though hers was much more hesitant.

With that, Follows-Chalk departed, while the courier and him, with eyes of all the Sorrows on them, entered the Narrows.

Trigger Warnings: Death, Suicide.

I went for a soundtrack for the journey through hell? Even though I have not...been around.....a lot....for this event and probably won’t be able to write anything for them for it because I’m how do you say...trash. But I would like to think or will probably head canon that James went down there for the reason that he has been all over the world and wouldn’t miss an opportunity to be in Hell. He can add it to the list with all the countries he’s ventured to you know.

Anyways, let’s all laugh as I try to give an explanation to these choices in songs. I believe the only one that has words in it is the one from Breaking Bad, Goodbye, but I kept to all score/soundtracks because that’s usually what Jiminy listens to and it was fun to try and find stuff that would fit into his walk. BEWARE: This got out of hand because I know I won’t be able to partake in the challenges or anything so I just dump a lot of ideas into this to try and compensate.

Another warning: I don’t know music. I don’t know anything. Whatever I say here is, lbh, ramblings. So, like I said, let’s all laugh as I try to figure out instruments and how to describe music with words.

1. Your Father Would be Proud: Start with an ender aye. So this is the song that plays in Rogue One when (Spoiler Warning, kids it’s on Netflix pls watch Star Wars and love yourselves) Jynn and Cassian go out on the beach to hug it out and wait for death. But for me I thought it was a nice tune for James to go walking into the forest with and then venture down the stairs. Towards the end when the brass comes in it gets really full in sound with the trumpet (??) letting loose for a second, that’s him making it down to the bottom and looking around like, “Oh wow.” And like the very end is probably him looking around like, this is so dope, but the sadness and the impending doom at the endend when the Death Star finally ends everything is it being like, yeah, this is HELL, so good luck on your journey you idiot. It gets kinda big and I like that because even if Hell isn’t all that in CGI, I think he would still feel an overwhelming force from the scenery of it because his muse is a cricket and to him, everything is HUGE, so I put that into Jame by him knowing he’s just a spec in the vastness of the universe, so yeah, looking around Hell is kinda a big deal for him.

2. On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss: This song would be playing after he decided which path to take. And it’s kind of grand in the beginning and then it gets small again for a while, and then ooooooOOO it starts getting bigger. And then get them drums in there, and it slows down and seems to finish with that only to get quiet again, like a soft hum, until that melody starts again, and the lil triangle, until it ends. T h a t is what I imagine the first part to be like for him. Ebbing and flowing with his awe until he finally calms down enough to continue on his walk. The big parts are probably him seeing those who live in that area, seeing the kinds of scenes Hell puts forth, and then finally chilling out enough to continue on his walk.

3. Locke’d Out Again: I was so sold on Lost when I saw the first season. I thought it was so good, and then I never watched any of the other seasons. So. Rip me. But this song still sticks out to me when I think about that show. And what’s even better, I could add it to this playlist. It’s so beautiful with all the instruments going back and forth and then the piano takes over everything and my god. This, my friends, is where James’s background comes out to play. This is when someone would come out onto the path he chose to greet him and it would be a reunion of the sad variety. I don’t want to go into detail because his past is still a secret! Stay tuned to find out! If any of you are even reading this far, lmao I doubt, but anyways. The song went with John Locke’s discovery that he could walk again, and it would fit into James seeing that person and reaching out tentatively towards them only to find them as a solid entity in front of him once more. Tears and hugs and all that mushy stuff would take place. But the thing that sold me on this song for this part of Hell was the ending. The last few seconds that make such a sweet/sad/moving song end on a sinister note. Because Hell pulled the carpet out from under James and lets him fall on his ass as he meets the first challenge.

4. MacBeth: This song is slow and gives me such desolate vibes. There’s that pitched sound that comes and goes and idk the name of it, but I love it in this piece with the low string coming in later to give it a partner. The first challenge would be set to this because the first challenge would be Death. That person(s????) from the scene before would die in front of him. And that part would be silent from any music because it would probably have to happen several times over until Jiminy finally gave into Hell and realized that he can’t save them and therefore lets them die, but the part afterwards. When he’s probably just holding their body and just sitting trying to recover. That’s when this song would play. Putting more emphasis on the effect that had on him. Don’t wanna get spoilery, not that anyone is still reading, but.

5. The Way: The Way kind of reminds me of the Inception soundtrack with the piano playing that one note, but it also has a darker thing going on which is what I wanted for the next part. The Judgement Door would come and go and James would be in the dark, walking along until he got to the muddy bit, but this would accompany the little montage of him walking in the dark, trying to light a light only for the wind to whisk it away, and then having to move forwards. He isn’t excited about this adventure anymore. After the first challenge he’s sad and regrets his choices in coming down the stairs, but knows he can’t go back. This song will probably get him to the Marshes. It starts doing that clapping bit indicating something is coming. And that would be wrong. Because something is waiting for him. His second Challenge. The second part of the song gets kinda fighty to me, so we would but the monster of Scylla here, as he tried to get into a boat and she just won’t let him and tries to drown him, too. I don’t?? Know if that’s viable, but I needed a monster who he was able to speak too because that’s all he has really. His voice. So in the midst of him trying to fight her at one point, when she’s probs got the upper hand on him, he would say something that would make her stop. Leading us to...

6. Histoire Sans Nom: Gosh, what a song. It’s got so much to it, I really enjoyed it. I put it on the playlist because it would be a good background to the tail end of Jiminy and Scylla’s conversation. He would listen to her woes, give her advice, and she would hopefully allow him safe passage. Again, idk if that’s an option here, but for the sake of Jiminy’s lack of knowledge in fighting I’m going to hope it is. This song would be the end to her sad story she tells him and Jiminy’s advice to her, and then the departure. The tone is kinda sad to fit with the sad things going on, Scylla’s story and the continuation of James’s journey on the Marshes. The end dies off so that’s him waving to her and watching as she gets back into the water near the boats to continue her life as a monster in Hell because that’s all she’s got left to do. Which would be sad for him to see that he couldn’t change her mind at all. This, I think, would be his third challenge. Seeing someone he thought he had helped, that he had put effort into listening to their problems, only to find out that he hadn’t even helped them at all. This is his Sorrows. Because that’s the worst thing in the world to him. So the ending to this song would be him floating in the boat for a long ass time crying and crying until he fell asleep. Only to wake up in the middle of the water. Surround on all sides by it.The song would end on him falling asleep. When he wakes up he wouldn’t be fine, per say, but it would take him a while to get passed Scylla.

7. The Threat of War: Starts of kinda slow, but it has that background tick to it, which I thought would be a good representation of him rowing the boat, over and over like the ticking sound across the water. Like The Way it would act for the boat montage across the water. Stopping every so often because he’s WEAK and doesn’t exercise, though he might start after this tbh, and looking down at the souls under the water. And when it gets kinda spooooky with a more...idk how to describe it but when the strings start making things feel rushed and like you gotta get outta there, probably at like 2:30, he would start running into the other boats with the Gluttonous souls. And when it gets kinda panicky that’s James trying to get out of the way of a war between two boats that are threatening to crash his. But manages to get out of there and moves on to land not soon after. It will also play into trying to get through the monsters at the end of the Mashes.

8. Goodbye: This has a heartbeat type thing going through it at the beginning. I figured after getting out of the marshes there would be no music for a while until he through The Wall (???somehow) and into the City of Dis. So the heart beat part is to his own, getting louder and louder. And then the I don’t even know what it is but like western-y guitar coming in every so often would be like in the Western movies when the hero comes into the town and looks around like. Where is everybody? And this would just be following him around as he walked throughout the city. There are words in this song because I also wanted to play on the fact that he isn’t alone here. He was never alone on his path really, but here he can’t seem to find anyone, but they’re there. And the words are there to show that. Even though he can’t find them right now, they’re there. The song ends when he sees someone, indicating he is no longer ‘alone’, on top of a building and watches them jump off. It scares the lights out of him, but when he closes his eyes against it, waiting for the impact sound to happen, it never comes. So he opens his eyes and walks up to the top of the roof where several other people are. There he inquires what the FUCK is going on as one of them jumps and he couldn’t run to the edge in time to pull them back and there isn’t a body down below. One of the people tells him that’s the way outta this place. To jump. One by one they all leave, and then, after a lot of pacing and a lot of talking himself up, he does too.

9. It’s Not Forever: Mmm, the Suicide Forest. This song is just him walking through it. Just another James H. Cricket montage.

10. Mr. Reese: I guess I must divulge some secrecy, /shift eyes/, not that I expect anyone to get this far, so lmao hi if you are, but THIS SONG. I love Person of Interest you guys, fml. This song is so beautiful. And I wanted to include it when James got here because the song would be when he heard the voice of an old friend there. Another therapist he went to school with. They were good mates, studied together, talked to one another all the time when they got out of uni. Then, one day he woke up to the news that he had committed suicide. AND LIKE THIS WOULD BE, I’m treating this like a movie and don’t care, WHEN IT WENT INTO FLASH BACK MODE OF THEIR LIVES TOGETHER. And him just kinda breaking a bit as he hears him talking again. But then peacing out real quick when other voices reach out and try to get him to join them.

10. My Mother’s Funeral: The End. This is a lil bit of music for his last little walk through the forest, and makes eyes with gift shop where I think the sudden drop off fits. James is like really weirded out by it but super charmed, too. I laughed so much when I read the post and Calcifer’s Family runs the joint. That is ADORABLE. So Jiminy would hang out here. Buy himself a regular shirt and other stuff because?? Fuck it dude this is HELL’S GIFT SHOP he’ll never get a chance like this again. And he has plenty of memories of his adventures around the world, so he’s literally set. He’s walking outta there with two bags on each hand.

• E A R T H •

Aloysia was born on Earth in 199O. Nigel and Olivia Caan were loving parents. She grew up by the sea, dreaming that she was a mermaid.

Aloysia used to be very shy. She couldn’t talk to people. Some of her teachers almost never heard the sound of her voice. She was even shy around some members of her family. As a consequence, she didn’t have many friends. Most of her school mates thought that this little introverted girl was kind of boring with her books and her fear of doing something wrong that could put her into trouble.

During high school, people were more violent and mocking. They critisized her for her weight, her black clothes, her seriousness concerning school. Tired of this situation, helped by a great teacher who gave her more self-confidence, she spoke up. She was not afraid of doing something wrong anymore. When someone criticized her, she would stand for herself. She became agresive and would hate basically everyone.

She left her native town to go to University to study History. She found herself there. People wouldn’t mind about her clothes, her passions. She dated a guy, Adam, for a few months. He left her because for another girl. He didn’t want to hurt her and she would prefer that to him cheating on her. After this, she would work, work, work, not wanting to lose time with friendships or romantic relationships.

• E L D A R Y A •

She jumps into the circle during a walk in the forest. She is 22. She wakes up in a cave, on the beach. She’s connected to this place. It’s called the Lunar Cave. She’s arrested by the Guard and put into jail. She escapes but is arrested once again. What can I say ? Aloysia is not good with discretion. Valkyon helps her getting her things back, he tells her that it’s not a dream and that she can’t go home. She doesn’t listen to him. He’s upset. They yell at each other. She escapes and spend three days in the forest. That’s where she meets Solal, a young Becola.

In short, Valkyon gets Aloysia back to the G.Q. because he can’t let someone in the forest, it’s too dangerous. He would not forgive himself if she died because he is the one who let her go. He takes her into the Obsidian Guard. She’s brave, strong. It’s either that or she go back to jail so she has no choice. The life in Eldarya is a nightmare. She’s not sporty. She loves eating but it’s war so food is rationed. People are awful to her. They insult her, some of them are violent. So she fights back. Ezarel is probably the worst. Always insulting her, dragging her down, lacking of respect towards her family and her origines.

Time goes by, so many things happen. I have a 169-pages Word file full of her adventures. So I’m gonna try be brief. She discovers her powers on water a year after she arrived in Eldarya. They appeared because she was closer to the Trident than she was on Earth. She is a mermaid but she spent too much time on Earth so she can’t have a tail and everything. Three years after, a sea witch gave her the ability to turn into a mermaid whenever she wants. She puts this power into the pendant Valkyon gave her years ago. She has to wear it to become a mermaid.

There are so many things I could tell, once again. How she almost died several times, her romance with Valkyon, the war, the moment she could go home but chose to stay, her fights with this stupid elf, her son, how she left the Guard to become a Guardian of the Ocean. But it would take days and no one cares.

»•» Event though she’s an Obsidiann she has no abs ans she’s a bit chubby. How ? No one knows. Her weight is the least of her problems. She has learnt to embrace her body. There are some days where she stays in bed because she has ❝ nothing to wear ❞ and she has a ❝ ugly face ❞. Anyway, she’s fine with her body and is not ashamed of it.

»•» Her tail when she’s in her mermaid form is in a sand-like colour.

»•» When she first turned into a mermaid, marks appeared on the inside of her forearms. One stands for her human part [this kind of circle representing the Earth with ray of sunshine that can only be seen if you live on dry land] and one stands for her mermaid part [the trident is obviously the symbol of merpeople].

• R A N D O M F A C T S •

»•» Never tell her that something is impossible or that she can’t do it. You will get a ❝ hold my drink ❞ and she will do anything to prove you wrong. Whatever it costs.

»•» When she was young, on Earth, her neighbour taught her the Hawaiian language. Now she uses it as a way to insult people without them knowing it.

»•» She would do anything for her friends now. Cassia is like a sister to her. She would kill for her, Ty and Pâris in particular. She would have never thought she could care that much about people before she landed in Eldarya. But don’t expect her to tell them out loud that she loves them. It’s too embrassing.

»•» She loves singing. She sings all the time. When it was clear she was stuck in Eldarya, she wrote down the lyrics of all the songs she remembered so that she would not forget them.

»•» Valkyon calls her Ali.

• N O T E S •

Her name comes from Aloysia Weber.

To begin this post I put some songs that are related to her story, some songs she would love. I associate Let it Go with the day Valkyon proposed to her. No ordinary girl is there because H2O just add water is the show that gave me the idea of her being a mermaid. Postcard is about what she went through as a human in the Guard. Siren call is the song related to the moment of the story where Aloysia and Valkyon fights to protect the Trident to save their son, Caleb. S.E.X... Good Lord, she would love this song ! She has such a dirty mind !

Phoebe Tonkin inspires me for this character. Her facial expressions are gold, especially when she plays Hayley Marshall in TO. That’s exactly Aloysia.

There is also a huge part of her that comes from me. Her character, her attitude toward people, most of her story, the way she dresses. In many ways, Ali is me. She has a lot more of courage and strength than me and I admire this in her. When I hear a song I often think ❝ Ali would love that ❞. When I meet someone I think ❝ Oh, Ali would hate you... me too tbh ❞. When I go shopping I think ❝ Ali could kill for this dress ❞. She has been part of my life for three years now. It’s not the most original character ever. It has nothing special. But I love her anyway.

Well, that is a very long post ! I wanted to practise my written English because I never do that. So I thought that Ali would be a good topic. I’m planning on doing this with my other OCs. I like talking about them even though no one is interested in this, it helps me realise some things about my story that make no sense sometimes.

My vision of Eldarya is pretty different from the canon thing. I created all sorts of legends and skipped almost everything that the episodes told us about this world and the characters. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So this is regarding the Supercat AU I just posted about yesterday (link here)--who in the supergirl cast would fill what position?

So first thing’s first: Press Secretary.

As Annabeth put it, for 6 years CJ Cregg managed the press through charm and disarm, a seduction. And yes Cat could do it, but you know who would both be good at it and enjoy it?

James.

Alex is obviously chief of staff (and for more comparisons between Jed and Leo and Kara and Alex, I p much already wrote like 2k already tbh). But I will leave here: you gotta best friend? Are they smarter than you? That’s your chief of staff. (And yeah former Surgeon General and army medic turned chief of staff Yup that’s Alex)

As for Lucy? Lucy I can see so much as Deputy Chief of Staff. She’s smart and determined and never sleeps and has So Many contacts in DC—former lawyer that briefed the joint-chiefs-of-staff, General Sam Lane’s daughter, and a Democrat? Yeah, she knows the game. She speaks Republican, since she was raised by one, and knows exactly how to charm and intimidate alike. So many Republican asswhipes just see an attractive woman or a shy little girl and just get absolutely hammered by Lucy. Very few see her coming. She’s been in Washington before sure—but there’s a new Congress every 2 years, and a lot of them have either forgotten or never knew that Lucy wasn’t just a damn wave, she was a tsunami (she was military back then. And her job consisted of keeping her mouth shut, both regarding the secrets she knew and her opinions on the (then) current political climate. This isn’t opening up a debate or anything but even most of the staunchest Republicans were like ‘that’s legit’ when former General Mike Flynn got fired for bad mouthing Obama when he was in uniform. People never really realized she had the blinders on, pretty much always.)

Oh man, and VP Hank Henshaw (yes I know his name is really J’onn but I’m making Hank his middle name and Henshaw his mom’s maiden name. He’s going into politics—a name like J’onn Jonzz doesn’t exactly play the best), former General and joint-chief, Kara’s foil. Most people see the sunshiney optimism, her youth, and her career background and forget that she’s former military. They see Hank, all of his experience with foreign affairs and military and wisdom and are comforted because there’s just one meter in which you judge the Vice President—on their ability to assume the Presidency. And this is politics—they don’t only want him as VP because he’s black, but it definitely made it easier to make that decision as opposed to Chief of Staff.

Winn. I blame @civilorange for this but cat and winn really could have a potential for friendship and really lbr Winn is Sunny and Awkward enough to be this version of Sam, the two of them the Batman and Robin of the White House (and oh man—the scandal isn’t that he accidentally slept with a call girl. The scandal is he’s the toymaker’s son). The boy can write, can knock socks off and has a phenomenal grasp of written oratory and syntax. But he’s completely fucked if he tries to do it in front of like. Anyone he doesn’t know very well, he just freezes up. The Toymaker’s son didn’t exactly have a sheltered childhood, filled with encouragement and support. He learned how to trust, but it’s tentative. He’s not right for Communications Director but as Cat’s deputy? That’s enough.

And then Kara. My kiddo. The star of the show. Like I mention before she was a ROTC college kid, didn’t have access to her trust fund because she was put in witness protection as a kid—her parents’ killer Non is apprehended when she was a sophomore in college but her parents very much instilled a sense of duty in her. She kept going. She comes from a very wealthy family sure, but she can’t access it until she’s 25 anyway Her mom was a Supreme Court Justice and her dad an astronaut at NASA (less of a commute than you might think when you have your own small private plane and are a pilot. Kara grew up knowing that the sky was never the limit), her aunt one of the youngest generals in military history—yeah, a lot of people wanted them dead. She’s a bit aimless in college, Art and Political Science and Linguistics, double minor in military science and astronomy. I don’t think most people realize just how smart Kara is, not to mention easily she bores. She likes being busy, being faster than any thoughts of her past (also no way does Astra ‘I love my niece more than anything in this life’ not teach kara at a v young age how to fight. Kara is very good at it)

She does her requisite 4 years, spends the next two years kind of just enjoying life as an artist, taking it easy and dealing with both childhood trauma and the shit she’s seen in the past 4 years and just slowing down a bit. She sells some of her art, not because she needs the money but because she wants to have it out there. She’s still in her 20’s when she starts working as a diplomat—her record definitely helps. She never really got to travel much but now she does—and damn does she just soak in languages like a sponge.

When she finally feels like setting roots, she goes back home, gets her grad degree in Astronomy—she’s always had a love affair with the stars. Maybe becomes a professor for a little while—you know the one, the one everyone has a crush on and is the one

And kara would 10/10 would be that person that stands up to some bigoted politician and just be absolutely Done with his policies and everyone else is just afraid of him, the guy’s been their district’s representative for decades and is corrupt af so she kind of gets into politics because fuck him she’d do a better job and she cares way more about their country than he does and oh man what if it’s like the Horton Wilde Campaign and the only other candidate has had four heart attacks (and God I’m just reminded of that line “There are worse things in the world than no longer being alive.”), so. She runs and lmao Kara’s surprised that she actually does win but 0/10 is anyone else because she’s dripping with charisma and sincerity and is so damn smart and inspirational and not to mention she’s pretty much looks like a Greek pantheon, along with an exceptional pedigree and has a spotless record (except—it’s not spotless. She was expecting it to come out, but she’s been discrete with any relationships she’s ever had, women with just as much skin in the game as she does. They don’t come up).

She wins, and then she keeps on winning. She moves from the House of Representatives to Governor and she’s two year into her second when her sister comes back to their home state, unannounced, with a crumpled up napkin she’s been carrying in her pocket for the past few days.

And that brings me to my next point--Cat as Toby, White House Communications Director—there’s too much of a conflict of interest for the former (she takes a leave of absence) head of a media conglomerate to be the press secretary. Not to mention—Cat can charm the pants off of anyone but she is biting and sarcastic and sometimes a bit hostile. So can she do it? Sure. But more like a fill in kind of thing. There’s never any secret plan to fight inflation kind of thing. She could do it long term, but she doesn’t really want to. Cat was first and foremost, a journalist. A writer—there are very few people good enough to write for the White House, and Cat is one of them. (and you know who’s a grumpy cat? Toby. You know who else is a grumpy cat? Cat.)

Seriously, Toby and Cat would get together so well, they have such a similar sense of humor and idealism “it cant go far” “yes” “somewhere in this building is our talent”—or setting aflame horrible writing. She’s an award winning writer, able to inculcate hope and optimism into an entire city with just a few words, and almost completely on the fly. She takes a leave of absence from CatCo, brings Carter to DC—he’s young, he bounces back. She has plenty of savings that the lack of salary doesn’t really bother her.

And it’s been years but Cat feels re-energized, driven, motivated again. And it’s all because of Kara, brilliant, beautiful, wholly and sincerely good. She feels a tugging in her gut, fingers itching to smooth that little crinkle between her eyes, the one that shows up at the end of a particularly difficult day at the White House, one ending in body counts, absolute devastation in every glance and gesture because Kara takes everything so personally and Cat just wants to see her smile again. But Cat knows how this story goes. She tells herself that this is simply admiration, that she isn’t half in love with the most powerful person on the planet, that what she feels is just what the rest of the staff feels, and she’s misreading all the signs and gestures and body language because the President of the United States is not gay.

Except, that all goes right out of her brain whenever she sees Kara’s smile—like the sun. Kara’s sunshine, all of it, relieving warmth that envelops you like the softest, gentlest hug, rays of light breaking through after a snowstorm, light erupting through the clouds after a night you aren’t sure you’ll ever survive—the harsh, unrelenting, UV waves, burning everything in its path. Sunburns and melanoma, droughts, forest fires, sun’s rays harnessed to the point of combustion, going from pleasantly warm to scorching in a matter of minutes—the two Karas.

But Cat sees them both--and it’s not that she doesn’t care, because that’s the point. Cat does care. She sees both sides of Kara, and with every stolen moment, every conversation, every time she promises herself just once more—and it’s never enough. God help her if (when) Kara finally clues in, because there’s no going back—Cat is ruined. She’s fallen in love with her President, and Cat may be the woman with a plan but not this time.
