I don’t think anyone’s OBLIGATED to reblog anything, and I think acting as if it’s the death of this website is a bit dramatic. however I will say. I much prefer drawing fanart for fandoms that are mostly dead besides a few superfans who are still around, over a bustling fandom of something that just got released. because the first scenario, I average around 50-75 notes, but 50% of those notes are people reblogging and tagging like “HOLLYYYY FUCKKKKKKK *KILLS MYSELF* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” …and then in the second scenario you will literally get 1000 likes before some guy replies “looks good :)”

and, again, I do not think this is a moral failing, but I have to reteach myself this lesson every time I get an inkling to draw something from a new release. the hungry fandom masses will NOT like your fortnite fanart as much as the creeps and weirdos will drool over the first piece of persona 2 art they’ve seen in 10 years.

Fem! Tatsuya and Jun because I cant get her out of my mind now.

Her name is Suou Tatsuko. She's essentially the same but she's more badass cause she's a woman (biased lesbian speaking here). She likes wearing shorts and sleeveless tops which leads to Katsuya's strict lectures on how to be ladylike.

Rumor has it she's been dating someone from Kasu High but who from Kasu High could possibly suit the Queen of Sevens?!

Tatsuya's Impressions: Four Stories.

-While Tatsuya's best impressions and imitations are those he does of motorcycle engines and construction equipment, he's adept with recreating sounds more generally, and, on a good day, will take requests/challenges. Once, he did a voice impersonation of Eikichi that was good enough to make a couple of Kasugayama students start sweating, terrified that he was lurking somewhere. He's also got the ability to conjure up a startlingly quiet, gorgeous impression of birdsong.

-Once, when Katsuya was being especially insufferable, odd noises started to sound out in the living room. For a while, Katsuya could swear he heard something quiet coming from behind the couch, then near the window, then, eventually, on the roof. For hours, Katsuya could hear some kind of an animal yelping and purring; when his mother arrived home, both were convinced that a cat must have climbed up onto the roof, but couldn't find it. When Katsuya went to go rescue whatever was trapped up there, fully prepared to take benadryl as soon as he came back down, he was utterly flummoxed to find nothing. Eventually, the Suou sibling's mother noticed that whenever Tatsuya spoke, the noise stopped. Tatsuya did a deliberately awful imitation of a cat to try to deflect blame; Katsuya realised, however, that Tatsuya's impressions were never that abjectly awful, meaning that it was almost certainly a red herring. At the time, Katsuya acted as if he were angry with Tatsuya for sending him up to the roof with confusion. Later, however, he's been caught laughing whenever the incident's been brought up—it's a rare good memory for both Suou siblings, even if Katsuya never had the gumption to admit to Tatsuya that he found it hilarious.

-Notably, when This Side's Tatsuya stays out late, since his father tends to be awake into the wee hours, he's developed a method for not getting caught walking in at 3am. That is, he'll throw on Katsuya's voice long enough to pretend he's coming home from a shift, and then walk as quietly as he can, trying not to be seen. It works surprisingly well, though he has been caught in the act several times. Notably, while the Other Side's Tatsuya had hijacked This Side's Tatsuya's body, he didn't tend to pull this trick when he came home. Seeing him enter the house at 4am without making an effort to be inconspicuous was a major sign that something was terribly, terribly wrong.

-As part of Gas Chamber, Tatsuya sometimes sings and contributes sound effects—while he's musically illiterate, he has a far better voice than either Jun or Eikichi, and can do more interesting things with it without sounding as nasal and Björk-y as Eikichi can. Usually, he contributes backup vocals and guitar, as well as the odd lead vocals on a soft ballad number (if Eikichi's feeling uncharacteristically humble). However, sometimes, Eikichi needs an ostensibly sexy female voice to provide spoken-word parts on a track, and as much as he loves Miyabi, her performance isn't great. As such, Tatsuya tends to read out this parts in a deliberately husky tone—he doesn't need to raise the pitch so much as change the timbre in order to conjure up a convincing femme fatale voice. On demo tapes, it's inconspicuous and well-mixed. Live, it's hilarious, since the single most muscular, manly man in the band is the one who's not only taking high harmonies, but filling in the female spoken vocal part.

Hello!! I saw you do super cool screen tones 🫣❤️❤️❤️ I am currently looking to learn how to do it myself! Is there any tutorials that you feel are especially helpful to learn?

The only best tips I could say when doing screen tones: 1. Be confident in your lineart skills » The reason I say this because screen tones pair well with lineart! They're like the bread and butter in making comic/manga, without it the artwork does feel a bit misplaced or awkward. » So I highly recommend that you practice your lineart skills the most since they come in handy in the long run! Not to mention ease your burden as to where you'll put the black, white, grey and screen tone placement in your artwork! 2. The TL;DR is that it's like coloring but in monochrome with screen tones! » Self explanatory, you're basically coloring your artwork but in monochrome colors and screen tones! » But you ask: "Yeah I know that but what I mean is... how do I use the monochrome colors and screen tones properly to achieve the effect that I want?" And here's my answer to that: For Black: » You use them to color darker colors (ex. Red, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Purple, Pink,Brown and naturally Black) in your artworks! » They can also be used for sharp shadows in your artworks! For Grey: » You use them for shading the shadows and depth in your artworks. » This color is widely used for background and usually paired with screen tones! For White: » You use them to color light colors (ex. Orange, Yellow, Bright Green, Cyan and White) in your artworks! » They are used in highlight or bright objects in your artworks! For Screen tones: » They can be the substitute for hatching and/or paired with the Grey color! As it they bring in the texture, pattern and shadow in the artwork! » Commonly used are circles, lines and noise in many manga, comic and illustrations!

3. Always look up for references for a certain idea you have for your artwork! » It's not a cheat! It's a helpful way to quickly learn on how to use monochrome colors and screen tones! Choose any manga of your liking and study their styles and how they use screen tones, monochrome colors and lineart! 4. Trust your instincts and experiment with it! » Doing monochrome colors and screen tones are a trial and error process on what works for your artwork! All that matters is that you're learning and having fun in the process! 5. For CSP users: Have your canvas be 2000+ pixels if you want your screen tones to not look pixelated. » I... I just learned this today while making this tutorial. You can either resize your canvas to 2000+ pixels or transform the screen tone material to your liking. That way it won't look pixelated up close. I hope that helps! Not gonna lie I was about to make a whole ass tutorial for you on how to use screen tones and monochrome colors but I figured the info I have might be lacking in some areas. Though you're free to DM me here in Tumblr if you're confused about some things and what not about this topic! I'll be happy to help :']
