8. Is there anything I wish people would write more about in fics? (A dynamic, an exploration of an arc, just a character that doesn’t get much screentime, etc)

I'd love to see more of Huna! We mostly see her either being bisexual at Xu Yu or performing her duties as a monarch, but there's a LOT of characterisation to tap into beyond that. Tatar itself, her relationship with Abuhun, her relationship with her Evil BrotherTM, her background (we see that she became queen at 14 years old, and our FIRST MEETING with her is when she's been sold as a slave after a violent coup- there is so much to dig into there!!) She comes across as perfect in canon (because it's Xu Yu's POV and Xu Yu loves women) but it would be GREAT if someone wrote about her more flawed, human side 💜

It'd also be neat to see more of the Empress Dowager! She doesn't have as much screentime as the main cast, but she still fills it really well, and is a complex character, especially later on once she accepts Xu Yu. There's a lot of untapped background with her too, losing her husband and raising her sons alone, and I'd love to see someone explore that!

AND THE XU FAMILY!!! Please someone write about General Xu and the Xu brothers, they all rule and I am a SUCKER for good family dynamics

Honestly, most of the characters have a LOT that could be written about- one of LBY's biggest strengths is the characterisations of all the main cast. Everyone is really well fleshed-out and three-dimensional (as well as being hilarious), and there's potential to be found in writing about ANYONE.

15. Is there something I wish someone would draw as a fanart?

All fanart is good fanart 😌✨️ I've seen like 4 pieces of art on Tumblr in total, and one on Twitter, so I would love to see literally anyone be drawn 💜

(Also I'd love to see OCs, in both writing and fanart. Gimme OCs please and thank you)

Currently writing a Pokemon crossover so y'all have to listen to me talk about it

Worldbuilding notes:

Pokeballs won't be invented for several millennia, so it's rare for people to have more than 2/3 pokemon. The Emperor's family and other nobility can get away with having more, because they have servants to take care of their pokemon, but even then it's an extremely rare sign of remarkable strength to have a full team of 6.

Pokemon battles are still common, but there's no Pokemon League and no formal challenges at all, except maybe in the army. People essentially just battle for fun, and because pokemon are naturally inclined towards doing so.

As far as which pokemon are plausible for the characters to have, I've mostly used the Hisui and Kitakami pokedexes, though with some creative liberties. They're geographically fairly close to China, and recent enough that there's a variety of choices 👍

i think jinyun/xu yu/huna have the potential to be a SUPER fun ship

xu yu deserves all the love in the world, and both jinyun and huna ADORE her

huna is attracted to xu yu in both bodies, so. bisexual queen who already adores xu yu and has the potential to find her husband hot

jinyun canonically likes xu yu and smart women. early on in the manhua, he called consort qin(?) his soulmate. huna is a very smart women. they'd probably talk politics as foreplay </3

liang bu yi's messages on polygamy and polyamory are... mixed, to say the least. i'm polyamorous myself, so i'd sure appreciate a tick in the positive box ✅️

it would be really nice to see more of huna's soft side, rather than her canon ✨️Girlboss✨️ Deus Ex Machina portrayal. we get a little hint of it with her brother, and some in her visit to xu yu, but i crave more

their dynamic would be really fucking funny
