We combine Christmas Bush Honey from The Tasmanian Honey Co. with organic cream and our 32% LORETTA™ Light Milk Chocolate to complement its soft and mellow marzipan notes. First honey extraction of the season. Adding another box to the hive. We cleared the honey between the hive lid and frost box and got 2.2kg of honey. That’s about 1/5 of what is there. Peach and Honey soap, all cut and on the curing shelves. This one smells amazing. Scented with an essential oil blend of petitgrain, orange, lemon, and rose geranium, it is sweet and spicy, with good citrus notes. And of course it contains masses of honey and peach puree, which has made it feel absolutely decadent - and I've only cleaned up the buckets and moulds. I cannot wait to feel it once everything had cured for six weeks. . . . In other news: market appearances are going to be up in the air after we finish Autumn Festival on the 14th of April. My mother, who is my market off-sider, helper, and biggest supporter has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We're still in the early stages of finding out how big surgery and treatment are going to be, but after April, I cannot guarantee my attendance at any events for a bit. I will obviously do my best to get along to @hobarthandmademakersmarket, but we will be playing everything by ear.
