“You bought a house?”
“Actually, I bought the land. I built the house.”
To call Zelda flabbergasted would be an understatement. After having been thrust backward in time, fighting and losing an entire war, and spending the last several thousand years in a dream-state as an immortal dragon, she had thought that nothing would be able to surprise her anymore.
But then, there’s Link.
The house is blocky in the style of Hudson construction, not unlike a set of childrens’ play bricks that have been assembled together neatly into two stories, and is painted a green that almost matches the lush grass on which it sits.
Her heart sinks in a way that it hasn’t since that day that Rauru made his sacrifice. Of course Link would want a home of his own, he’d technically gifted her the house in Hateno. They’d been in close quarters by necessity for a long time, never affording him his own space. It makes sense.
Still, she has to suppress the anxious quiver in her voice when she asks, “So, you intend to move here? It is lovely, although I didn’t realize you’d wanted to settle here.”
Link merely blinks at her. “You wanted to open another branch of the school in Tarrey Town.”
Wait.
What?
“You- I-” she stutters. Frantically, her mind tries in vain to piece together the evidence in front of her, the conclusion somewhat obvious, and yet strangely unknowable to her as her gaze darts back and forth from the house to Link. “You built this for…?”
Before she can formulate the rest of the words, he gestures for her to follow as he walks toward the front door. Dazed, she follows.
The inside is cozy, although certainly more spacious than their house in Hateno by a long shot. A fully-stocked kitchen and gallery sit just off the main room, which is furnished with a table and chair set. She notes that he’s taken up one of the walls as a weapons display, and finally her eyes fall on a short passage that leads to the bedroom, tucked away in the back corner. Just one, she tries not to observe. (After all, in Hateno, it had been necessary for them to bunk together due to the small size of the house. But here…)
She swallows and finds her mouth is dry. “Link… it’s lovely…”
“There’s more.”
She turns. “More?”
Her knight has never been particularly expressive. It caused her grief in their younger years, her mind angsting away about what could be going on behind those passive blue eyes. But right now he looks… electrified. He smiles and she realizes his expression looks suspiciously like nervous excitement.
He gestures once more and she follows him out a back door, around a paddock that had been installed behind the house (“When did my horse get here? I’ve missed her!”) and eventually around to a set of stairs that lead up to what seems to be a detached second floor. She frowns at the oddity, curiosity only growing as they walk up the stairs.
Hand on the knob, he looks at her once more with that same electric expression, and seemingly psyches himself up before opening the upstairs door. She steps inside and hears her own tiny intake of breath as she lays eyes on the room.

Tears of the Kingdom: The Final Analysis
Part 2
Picking up where we left off in Part 1, our next shot takes us to Hateno Village.
Tumblr media
First and foremost, the mushrooms. ALL the mushrooms.
Tumblr media
The mushroom umbrella is patterned with mushrooms, and the man in front of it looks to be wearing a mushroom hat.
Tumblr media
Similarly, so is this girl with the broom. A mushroom emporium? Maybe a collector's thing, like golden bugs or gratitude crystals?
Tumblr media
It looks as if they took over the Ventest Clothing Boutique; the shirt is patterned with mushrooms, and the flags now have mushroom hats of their own. For some context, here's the original:
Tumblr media
Purely speculatively, I think this might have some kind of gimmick outfit that you earn by hunting down rare mushrooms.
Moving on.
Tumblr media
We've got a somewhat better look at the strange new towers, this one on top of one of the smaller peaks surrounding Mt. Lanayru.
Tumblr media
The next shot shows a camp in the ruins of Castle Town. All the malice and leftover guardian bits look like they've been removed.
Tumblr media
This bit here looks like a plot of land. Maybe a Tarrey Town situation, where you expand camps by bringing them supplies?
Tumblr media
We can see a tower and the rock portal in the distance.
Tumblr media
And Link is here in his green garb, meaning that whatever this camp is, the return of Ganon hasn't done anything to dissuade them.
Tumblr media
Link climbs up near the rock portal, and we get a better look at it, as well as the generator thing.
Tumblr media
That is VERY deliberately made. Possibly a fallen ruin, but still, very portal-like.
The generator thing looks to have replaced Ta'loh Naeg Shrine
Tumblr media
Because that down there is Kakariko Village.
EDIT: This is an error; I misinterpreted the angle of the town. Ta'loh Naeg is on the opposite cliff to this. Thanks @dracrownian!
Tumblr media
Also, this scaffolding looks to have been built AFTER the sky isles appear, because this one is built on a piece of ruin.
Tumblr media
Hyrule Castle floats in the distance, but now we can see beneath it. It's hard to tell from this far away, but it LOOKS like it's hovering over a pool of malice.
Tumblr media
There's a quick shot through some trees
Tumblr media
With some Zonai swirls off to the side
Tumblr media
As well as some geometric shapes along the bridge. Between those and the ferns, I think this is near Faron Woods, but not in it, seeing as there are no tropical trees.
Edit: According to @fluffmugger, @priconstella, and @almostandrogynousdonut, this spot is actually up at Thyphlo Ruins!
Tumblr media
And then this scene. Oh, this scene.
Tumblr media
It took me awhile to find this geometry on the map. Especially with that spiral off to the right; most of them have correlated to where Shrines are, but this one doesn't. What clued me in was this bit here.
Tumblr media
A bigger triangle-shaped rock with a small, short triangle beside it, slightly offset.
There's exactly one spot in Gerudo Desert that has these like this.
Tumblr media
Southwest of Gerudo Town, right here. And there are two things of interest that stand in this area. The first, to the southwest, is the Gerudo Great Skeleton, which can just be made out here:
Tumblr media
The second?
Tumblr media
Arbiter's Grounds in Breath of the Wild was barely anything, just some vague pillars hinting at something-
Tumblr media
-just beneath the surface.
Tumblr media
The BotW pillars don't quite match exactly. They're definitely not the torii-style gates above in the sky isles. But they ARE arches, over on the left, and the top squares of the pillars match the square bricks peeking out of the sand as the temple rises. It could be that the arches in BotW are what the beta version of Zonai arches looked like.
Tumblr media
We then switch to the castle. Recall-able rocks plummet down around it, which indicates sky isles above.
Tumblr media
Due to the sheer volume falling at once, I'm willing to believe that the rise of the castle is what directly causes the isles to show up.
Also
Tumblr media
These are Sheikah at the forefront
Tumblr media
And this looks to be some kind of logging camp or new settlement. There's a sign here that I imagine is meant to be interacted with at a later date.
And I've hit the picture limit, so when I finish Part 3, that link will be updated here.
Edit: Part 3!

Tears
The character design for Tears is here! (Minor edits for style)
I took more of a stealthy-like approach for him based on my own gameplay style and preference (the Sheikah stealth set is my favorite!). The hood was originally the in-game blue-black color but there were too many colors going on so now it’s dyed white
Tumblr media Tumblr media

I’m glad to see your post about loving totk. There’s so much discourse going on right now and I don’t understand. It’s a phenomenal game that absolutely deserves all the same love BOTW got. I guess that’s just the video game cycle but Zelda games seem to get the brunt of it, you know?
Really? I've never seen any sincere zelda discourse, and I've been in the fandom a good while.
I mean I know there's a couple points of contention but they've been there since ocarina of time at the latest lol.
Having played hundreds of hours in both botw and totk, I can say I love them for different reasons. They're both absolutely AMAZING games, they're so much fun to play, you can really feel the love and effort that went into making them. Totk feels like an organic in-world continuation of what botw was, timeline wise.
I think one of my favourite things in totk is that a lot of next gen style games take the route of misery and undoing all your hard work in the previous game, heck stories do that too, but totk looks that old tired trope in the eye and spits on it.
Totk is a continuation of the world in botw, and they chose hope. They chose determination, love, progress, protection, community.
Botw is amazing because of its loneliness, its empty rolling vistas and space to explore and learn about this new world. Link is alone and everyone knows it. He has to build a life from scratch, build himself up from scratch, with not even his own memories. Everything is fresh, to both you and him, and you meet so many people on the way. But ultimately he has to do it all alone and it has this weight to it.
Totk is amazing because of its companionship. Everyone and their mother knows and loves zelda and link and they will NOT shut up about it. Everyone you meet is throwing their all into living life and working as one giant community, from bolson rebuilding lurelin and retiring there, to the school being built in hateno, the openly thriving tarrey town we built, the gossip reporter starting a proper official newspaper, the seal surfer pair travelling to learn new versions of the sport, the zonai team, the monster hunting expeditions - the list goes on!! Link is not alone!!! Everywhere you look businesses are booming! People are banding together and succeeding!!
Totk is absolutely a phenomenal game. It sucks that it's getting flack (though I have no idea what it could be for?), and I really feel the devs succeeded in what they set out to do. Both it and totk have their own strengths, but I must say, they're definitely strongest when together.

10 First Lines Challenge
Got tagged by @bloobluebloo , thank you! this took me a while ahah. I only have a few fics on AO3 atm but hey! We'll see where this goes
Rules: Share the first line of your last ten published works or as many as you are able to and see if there are any patterns!
1. Paradoxical Sleep: A bell's chime; a seagull's shriek.
2. Golden Blood on His Hands: It was a comfortable mid-morning in Tarrey Town.
3. Sparrow in the Rafters: Rats, snakes, lizards, keese— whatever it was, Purah didn't feel like dealing with it.
4. Thieves and Traitors: Cracks of sunlight shone through the battered door they had put over the cave entrance.
5. Ghost Pain: "I can't do it."
6. Good Morning: Link wasn't sure if it was the clatter of something in the common room or the vertigo that woke him up.
7. Linner (Link Dinner): Zelda sunk into the plush of her chair.
8. The Return: Lance chopped carrots to a familiar rhythm as water dripped from the ceiling. (This is technically fanfic but it's just my OCs and it vaguely spoils some stuff for my comic so I just have it on my toyhouse lmao)
And that's about it! I've only been writing and publishing fanfic properly for about three years now (everything else is fancomic stuff or original works that I don't want to publish) so I'd say this is pretty good.
As far as patterns go, for one thing god I'm bad at titles. They definitely describe the work well but they don't roll off the tongue imo. Most of the lines themselves are very mundane and relaxed-feeling, which generally fits my writing style. I'm pretty happy with them!
I do not know who to tag since most of the people I know who write have not published anything </3

I'm super late to the Hyrule party (just picked up BotW like ... 8 months ago) but you're on your way to convincing me to pick up Age of Calamity next.
(I've finished BotW only once, but I've started like 4-5 games. The final boss fight interests me so much less than, for example, getting Tarrey Town up and running.)
Age of Calamity is a very different kind of game from other Zeldas, with its beat-em-up missions instead of puzzles and dungeon exploration, so there’s that. I’d say to watch a little gameplay by somebody else before buying the game, just to make sure it’s a style you like. Or maybe you already play other games like it and know you enjoy that kind! ^.^ (I wasn’t sure I’d like the gameplay but it turns out I do!)
I really can’t recommend the story and characters more highly. AoC gets some flack in the greater LoZ fandom sometimes for “not being canon” (debatable since the Zelda timeline is so branching and warped anyway and there’s stuff in the game that definitely influenced TotK) but to be honest, as I said in my tags on that reblog, it does SO MUCH with the characters especially, to show their personalities and relationships. Even tiny details like messages that pop up from characters when you get 1,000 KOs in a mission or what they say when you put them on a team together in the character selection screen, are delightful. Just watching cutscenes gives the overview and most important story moments, but so much more is revealed through the actual progression and dialogue during missions, too.
There’s even some mission maps where you get to go inside locations that by botw time are just ruins or that are much more closed-off to you in botw!
So…yeah! That’s my glowing review! If you do end up playing, I hope you’ll enjoy it too!

Fic Stats Game
Trying to catch up on these games I've been tagged in🤣 thanks, @softpromise and @aurathian for the tags!
Rules: give us the links to your fics with the most hits, second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks, fifth most words, and your fic with the least amount of words.
Most hits: "The Zelink Chronicles" (5,250) is a longfic set in post BotW introducing a new, neighboring kingdom (Arcadia) with new characters and a fun interwoven plot. 2 chapters away from finishing it! It is a collab with 3 other illustration artists and Zelda-loving mom friends of mine. @lunarartistry13 is one of them!
Second-most kudos: "The Fallback Plan" (88) is a modern zelink workplace AU set in the small town of Tarrey Town at the local school: Hudson Tarrey Middle-High. Zelda is escaping a corporate conspiracy she uncovered and is assisted by the town detective. A fun read with a little thrill and intrigue. 3 chapters from finishing.
Third most comments: "Play with Me" is a 3-chapter, modern Skyward Sword Christmas music AU where Zelda and Link are both pianists and get caught up in a little secret santa style predicament. Cute, fun read.
Fourth most bookmarks: "Technically Speaking" (20) is a canon-compliant Purah/Robbie romance fic set Pre-Calamity and explores the unearthing of the Divine Beasts through TotK era. Currently 11 chapters in. I am in love with young Purah and Robbie and they don't have enough fics about them. So I changed that. Hehe.
Fifth Most Words: "The Minstrel and the Prince" (14,442 words) is a roleswap AU where Link is a secondborn, violin-playing, underappreciated prince and Zelda is a traveling, violin playing minstrel. They meet serendipitously in a forest grove. Written for Zelink Week 2023!
Least amount of Words: "Nervous" (450 words) was written for the prompt nervous for Zelinktines 2023. The Princess is searching for a new court poet, quite unsuccessfully. Who knew the most accomplished of the candidates was already right beside her?

stricken by questions in the middle of the night. hateno. do you have any fun facts + what does your link think of it + when did he get there and what happened
OH actually i have a few :D
ALRIGHTY!! for fun facts: on page 98 of creating a champion (you can view it for free) its noted that the people in hateno wear warmer clothes because theyre near a very very cold mountain which is mount lanayru and also it has a nordic aesthetic apparently! because of that once i. do research i think im going to make hateno based a bit off finland just for fun. or poland but poland is more of a personal thing. and also requires research. speaking of being at the base of mt lanayru youve probably seen this but theres little mountain symbols all across hateno (like on the signs, the pots, and some secret back sheds)! the mayors house is referred to as a church in the files (TwnObj_Village_HatenoChurch_A_01) for some reason, likely because it has the hylia statue. ALSO. this isnt confirmed at all but before i was researching those little stacked rocks. theyre up above the signs as well as near the mayors house. im half sure theyre cairns, stacked rocks made by humans thats usually for signalling a hiking trail. this site also sparsely mentions them + has insight into the architecture + the ancient tech labs (though i havent read a lot of it </3). anyways those may just be for fun/for visitors/decoration (i like to think its all of them) + its likely rock balancing. i Did find a site like this and while im inclined to trust it i dont think it applies here. also while prewriting the main ideas i thought there was cairns in goron city? but i cant find them so! yeah maybe theyre in totk otherwise theyre just in hateno and tarrey town. also while its raining karin i believe will read a little book thats in oots/wws opening cutscene style with a little prince in blue riding towards the castle. i think its neat but doesnt have too many implications besides possibly reinforcing some tloz games could be the same legend told over and over like a telephone game. also theres more in the second win mod but i cant play it because. not optimized at least for me. also. lots of footage to go into and i dunno how much was truly added
what does link think of it!!! i think he likes it a bit, especially the inn. its just cozy + both loshlo harbor and hateno beach are just kind of good thinking places. loshlo harbor especially, its just a nostalgic place for him. also i feel like he’d have a lot more use for his house than we’re given in game (custom photos, a journal, a chest so you can put items in to store them ((maybe food)), souvenirs (he’d have a lot of those i think. mainly stealing mugs), and also actually being able to cook in there). to be fair the champions photo being the only item we could place in links house had an effect, but i do want this to be. an actual house. also i think he’d get deja vu from being in the house and the harbor. nothing like stunting or debilitating but he’ll be cutting up vegetables or building a sand castle and for a moment a memory? or an image flashes and in that. thing. hes doing the exact same thing hes doing now. same place same thoughts . though some would be more memory flashes, those would be easier to tell as its not deja vu but . like finishing someones sentence without knowing what theyre going to actually say. and then he realizes ‘WAIT A SECOND’
i think he wouldve gotten there later than normal. miphers was done first, did a bit of traveling (partly because he. didnt know where it was despite the map). he probably got there somewhere after his 2nd-3rd divine beast. funnily enough i think it wouldve taken him a While to find lurilen and the forgotten temple. lurilen especially why would he Go There (he didnt read the signs in faron). he finally gets a house but at the cost of capitalism. once he gets the camera he goes to impa and then he takes a Long detour to get every single memory and without getting (too) sidetracked. he thought a fallen star was one once but it disappeared as it turned day so he never found out what that light was until he saw one physically crash into a hill. he actually mightve done the divine beasts before the camera and is delaying clammy ganon
as soon as he saw the house i think he rushed up to it, because even if it Wasnt his house it shouldnt be destroyed!!!! it was like there was a time limit. he panicked when he didnt have the money (he didnt sell gems or dragon parts at the time…) but he prevailed (selling monster parts). he does not like chopping wood.
when he got there there wasnt much fanfare? everybody thought he was Just Some Guy (he never wears the champions tunic, as well as never using the champions weapons because theyll break). he completely didnt see the guard guy and just. activated the shrine. he would learn of the statue through the small glasses child and would probably talk to the statue more if a heart container wasnt just stolen. if he could save scum he would to avoid the encounter entirely but because he cant he may just. let the statue have it. until extremely later and he talks to it again after years. i think hed show the fireflies to the statue. also i dont think he talked to anyone besides bolson and purah and symin. except for the stolen sheeps person + the shopkeeper. everytime hes there he will Always buy milk rice eggs etc. cooking ingredients are something hed never pass up. he would be a regular of yammo despite her traveling.
though i think he’d spend a lot less time in hateno than you think. its his home but also he likes to travel + have fresh air and places, and also he visits the champions villages more often than not. except for zoras domain unless he Needs to. otherwise he’d still be in lanayru and visit ruta but still be a bit of a distance away. he also doesnt visit goron city a lot though hes less averse to that. also i think he’d like ebon mountain, especially because its behind his house + he gets a good view. he would tell the guy there the actual heart lake location. also i think fairies spawn there at night (both locations)
i think some locations would be there pre cal but arent post cal. i have the excuse of the mayor mentioning that hateno was still built back from the ground (i can get the dialogue if you want!!) . specifically thered be this one hot chocolate place he’d go to that doesnt exist anymore. through a quest he can get the recipe and share it with the elders but yeah. maybe a library and actual church but shrugs
also sometimes i like to think a time capsule was buried in the backyard/under water. however thats neither here or there + it all depends on the au and how the story goes. he would miss his mom and have mixed feelings on his sister (they were also distant believe it or not. but that was his sister). he’d almost have the same reputation as purah for not leaving the house visibly i think and not talking to almost anyone.
also he hasnt dyed any of his clothes. theyre good enough for him 👍. pre cal he wouldve liked dying the act of dying a piece of fabric a lot
ALSO he doesnt hang the champions weapons in his house. he holds onto them and doesnt let go
one more thing: he’d make a note of picnic/quiet spots. theres one near the village but he doesnt really picnic with anyone even pre cal. he mostly just sits there
i will do tarrey town in the next bit!

OKAY I FINALLY GOT TO WATCH THE TOTK TRAILER HERE ARE SOME OF MY THOUGHTS
the more stuff that comes out about totk, the more interested and emotionally invested i become in the lore. where did these floating islands come from? who were the zonai and why are they back? do they have some sort of connection to ganon or hylia, or other races in hyrule (e.g. the sheikah)? how does the presence and existence of the zonai connect back with the rest of the zelda timeline?
like since there's at least? 10,000 years since the previous links and zeldas to botw/totk link and zelda, did the zonai exist in that 10,000 time period or way before and they were just never seen in previous games (for narrative purposes?)
do you think the presence of the zonai will give us some insight to the hero and princess of 10,000 years prior when the divine beasts were first used against ganon + all the ancient sheikah technology was still used? do you think the zonai had some sort of hand in helping shape that tech?
i know that during the development of botw, some of the things that inspired some of link's "abilities" were from hobbies of people on the zelda development team, e.g. the master cycle zero exists in the dlc because eiji aonuma is a motorcyclist in his free time. do you think someone on the team skydives for fun and that's why they added link falling through the sky and shit lol
they NEVER explained the paraglider in botw. you know me as your local revalink brainrot provider and what i think about the existence of the paraglider if you've been following me long enough. since the paraglider gets a little design update in totk (and unfortunately kind of loses revali's symbol in it
what the HELL are these glowing spires coming out of the ground everywhere. will they function the same as sheikah towers. what the fuck happened to the sheikah towers bc i'm either blind or they're gone. do shrines still exist in this game
hateno village (and other settlements) seems to have gotten updated! what new things do you guys think will be added in villages that weren't there before? also idk if it's just me but why do the three trees on mount lanayru look closer to the village??? i don't remember them being that close idk lol
DO YOU THINK WE'LL GET NEW NPCS IN THE SETTLEMENTS <33
THERE ARE LITTLE CAMPS IN CASTLE TOWN RUINS IM GOING TO CRYYYY they have the hylian crest on them so they have to be related to the royal family (in a business way) somehow? are these the construction folk who are going to rebuild castle town? do you guys think we'll get to see castle town completely rebuilt by the end of totk? DO YOU THINK WE'LL GET TO REBUILD EVERY RUINED SETTLEMENT TARREY TOWN STYLE??????? <3333
i know some people hated the fact that the botw map was reused and imo it's Nawt that serious girl calm down lmao. in fact i think reusing the map is an excellent challenge for the zelda team; how can you rework this familiar world into a fresh one the players can enjoy and explore again? with all the literal changes in the geographical markers of botw and the addition of new little thingie ma bobbies all throughout the map, i'm excited to see how the zelda team has approached this sort of challenge by reusing botw assets
THE THYPHLO RUINS AREN'T DARK ANYMOREEEE tbh i never finished that shrine quest LMFAOKDJFHJKD the not being able to see part always stressed me out and the fact that you had to fight a hinox in the dark 😭😭😭 IM SAWRYYY IM THE MOST ANXIOUS PLAYER EVER but i can't wait to explore it in the light????? i think someone mentioned how it also had zonai architecture; i'm just so invested in how the presence of the zonai shaped the now-world of botw/totk hyrule
so i wasn't able to see it in the trailers because i'm sooo blind, but did you guys ever see the divine beasts at all in the clips? i mean i wouldn't want to do a divine beast dungeon again LOL, but where do you guys think they are? are they just chilling in their respective regions? did they bury the beasts again? do you think we'd be able to actually go inside and explore the beasts for funsies now that they're not corrupted/in position lasered onto the castle?
WHAT IS OUT IN THE GERUDO DESERT. INSERT CARDI B MEME WHAT WAS THAT????? IS IT A SECRET DIVINE BEAST. FUCK. WHAT IS IT
the zonai have got to have some connection to time i know we could probably figure that out from the totk gameplay video from a couple weeks ago BUT STILL. let's have a twilight princess ancient hero comeback and just have old man ocarina bones sit in, or maybe multiple previous links spiderman no way home-style or whatever that movie was called. i didn't watch it sorry KDJHFJDK
ZELDA FALLING IN AND LINK JUMPING IN AFTER HER WITH HIS MALICE CORRUPTED ARM 😭💔 WHEN WILL MY BABIES BE FREE FROM THEIR FATES
THERE ARE FLYING PIRATE SHIPS TEEHEE. COME ON TREASURE PLANETTTTTT link but he's jim hawkins asf
water bubbles as transport like come on vesicles. come on transport cells. ANYWAYS THE LASERS link is a spy girl fr come on kim possible
WHO IS THAT. i can't take pictures i'm watching the trailer and pausing and unpausing on my switch while typing this on my laptop IS THAT A NEW HYRULEAN RACE. do you think it's like a fe3h ashen wolves moment where they've just been living underneath the ground because they were banished by hylia and no one knew lol
THE SANCTUM WAS RESTORED KSJDHFKJSDHFJKSDHF HOW DID THEY FIX IT SO FASTTTT what if link actually went back in time. the room is all sparkly so i'm like. did u fix it with magic or likeeeeee WHAT IS IT ASF
WHERE THE FUCK IS ZELDA. what do you guys MEAN you rely on link and the master sword. WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE??????? IS THAT THE ZONAI KING OR SOMETHING.
historically the hylians have believed in this like. pantheon of gods comprised of the golden goddesses + hylia, and i've always been under the assumption that other races just coexisted their faiths e.g. zora mainly believing in jabu-jabu, ww!rito believing in valoo, etc. what if there was like a pantheon of zonai gods but it's like greek vs roman style. what if hylia had a zonaian (?) counterpart. idk i'm spitballing out of my ass rn but i think it would be cool
re:WHO IS THAT. bulletpoint: WHAT IF THAT'S HYLIA'S ZONAIAN COUNTERPART. LOL
seeing all these flat little creatures floating in the sky makes me miss vah medoh and revali
WAS THAT TULIN. GO BACK HOME TO YOUR MOTHER?????????? WHERE IS TEBA.
link pulling people in wagon it's giving skyrim "oh you're finally awake" PAUSE WHAT ARE THOSE GREEN THINGS ON THE WHEEL. IS THAT ZONAI TECH/MAGIC
how the HELL did they build those shits on top of the talus. the bokos were really like It's Free Real Estate
link making himself a fully functioning tank rn. my brother in christ that is a vertical stone block with a cannon fused to its edge on wheels. i love it.
i kinda wanna know what happened to the elemental arrows. like in botw they tell you that rubies innately have the power of fire, but how does that differ from a regular fire arrow? does it do more damage?
HOLD ON TULIN WAS ABOUT TO GET EATEN BY THAT ICE MONSTER THING GO HOME??
what the FUCK is zelda cradling in her hands. is that a seed or life or something. it looks like an embryo lol. divine beast embryo
WAIT IS THAT HYLIA???? WHOAAAA
riju 🥺🥺🥺 the champion descendants 🥺🥺 doofus with a bucket on his head... SIDON WAIT HE HAS THE CROWN ON HIS HEAD
"link! you must find me!" WHERE ARE YOU GIRLLLL
i didn't realize there was a word limit. i just kept typing. ok those are my thoughts so far IM SO EXCITED

Hi there! I'm Neko, and I found your post as a reblog from a friend of mine. I've played all of the 3D zelda games, and I write fanfics for the series. I'll answer these as best I can!
1: I've never really thought about it, but if I were to do so, I would put Skyward Sword in Spring, Breath Of The Wild in Autumn, Ocarina of Time in Summer, and Twilight Princess in winter.
2: Assuming you mean 2D as pixelated. I haven't played any of the 2D retro titles (pretty much any of the pixelated ones), however I have played all of the 3D top-down ones. I'm gonna pick one of those, if that's okay? Defo either Link Between Worlds or Spirit Tracks.
3: Skyward Sword! She's SO FRICKIN' CUTE.
4: That's a really hard one. Of the ones I've played, I'd say Phantom Hourglass.
5: I cannot justify picking just one soundtrack, so I'll pick out a few of my favourites instead. Colgera's battle theme (ToTK), Ganon's battle theme (OoT, That 23/16 time signature is insane and I love it), Yuga Ganon battle theme (ALBW, same reason, song is set to 7/8 time signature and it's just as insane), Tarrey Town theme (BoTW), Tal Tal Heights (Link's Awakening Remake), and so many more that elude me.
6: Nope! Bring it on, I love a challenge!
7: There are too many to list, but there is one that I love that others don't. That being the Water Temple from Ocarina of Time. Most people hate it because it's confusing, but I saw it as an experience. And that experience was fucking good, for me anyway.
8: Spirit Tracks for sure. The music, the story, I love it. The controls are not fun, and using the flute was fun if flawed, but everything else makes that tolerable.
9: Hmmmm... I'm gonna go with Tingle on this one.
10: The hookshot! It can get you to many places, and it has been a staple in traditional zelda games! So fun shooting it out and then zipping to the place it sticks.
11: That ones a toss up. I love all of his incarnations. I think Wind Waker is top due to him actually having some sort of humanity. He just wanted what was best for his people, and I can understand his plight. However, the way he went abouy it was wrong.
12: Ocarina of Time. It was the first Zelda game I ever played. And I was enthralled the entire time. Since then, I have managed to play every 3D Zelda game up to now, and it's my favourite franchise.
13: Breath of The Wild. The character designs and lore is incredible. Not much more to say there, really. Nintendo did an amazing job with this entry, and the one after it too.
14: Master Sword. No question.
15: Gerudo Desert, specifically the one from Breath of The Wild.
16: I don't really have one, they're all great.
17: Twilight Princess. It's my favourite in the series for a reason, and atmosphere is a big factor.
18: Again, Twilight Princess. Quite the dark game, especially in contrast to other entries.
19: Same as above, for the same reasons.
20: Same as above.
21: Skyward Sword! The painterly style is fucking awesome. If you're further away from an object, the shader makes the object look watercolored. They improved that effect in the HD remaster on switch, and it's beautiful.
22: I don't really have a favourite. They're all good!
23: Spiritual Stones please.
24: Either Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess for items.
25: Midna.
26: Spirit Tracks.
27: Breath of The Wild. Mainly cause it pertains to being a breath of fresh air for the series as a whole with it being open world, and the whole place being mostly wilderness at this point.
28: Skyward Sword, up to a point.
29: Hookshot!
30: Ocarina of Time title theme.
31: City In The Sky from Twilight Princess. The entire dungeon is the "I am confusion" gif.
32: Breath of the Wild.
33: Mix of both. It wouldn't be a Zelda game without either.
34: Hmmm... That's a tough one. I think overall I might have had the most trouble with the second Ganon battle that takes place within Hyrule Castle in Echoes of Wisdom.
35: I didn't really have much issue with any of them except for Demise in Skyward Sword. Took me a little while to learn his patterns.
36: that one's between Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Both cinematic games, and both incredible in their own way.
37: I have no idea. If I had to give an answer, the Likelike's are weird.
38: The Dead Hand, as well as the ReDeads and Gibdos from Ocarina of Time. Both EXTREMELY creepy.
39: Echoes of Wisdom.
40: Tingle.
41: I have three. Song of Storms, Serenade of Water, and Requiem of Spirit.
42: The Couple's Mask.
43: Goron Mask.
44: The Anju and Kafei quest.
45: Tarrey Town.
46: Skyward Sword HD
47: Each game fulfills something different for me, and so I can't say that any one game is the most fulfilling for me.
48: I love the one incorporated in Breath of The Wild and Tears of The Kingdom. Amazing shading style that blends Cel shading with semi-realistic graphics.
49: Fairy.
50: Modern Hylian Shield, BoTW and ToTK style.
Hope this gives a little bit of insight into my views on the series!

So I Don’t Forget Again: A Breath of The Wild fanfiction
Entry 203: Tarrey Town
I really need to figure out how to ground myself without you around. Figure out how to not just get stuck on one thing and hyper fixate on it. All it ever does is hurt me. I just don’t know how though. With you I always talk though my thoughts, get things out of my head. I do the same when writing but it’s not the same.
*You don’t believe yourself. You doubt your skill, so likely you doubt your own thoughts so any akin to what I would say you dismiss. At least I think that could be a possibility.
Maybe. I’m just worried that things will be okay again once I start traveling only for me to just get stuck in upsetting thoughts again.
For now it seems I’ll be staying here and you can visit, as long as you don’t get caught.
*I will not.
The place is unrecognizable, it’s an actual town now, not just a few piles of boulders. There are Bolson’s style of buildings, carving tools scattered on the ground, an archway at the entrance, a fountain like thing in the middle and little wooden pathways connecting the buildings. Bolson and Hudson both say there’s still more work to be done, still though, it’s exciting to see the change.
There’s also more people here, more than the ones who we sent to help like Bolson and his workers and others like some travelers. Hudson told me there are actually more people than usual because Hudson and Rhondson are getting married and invited people over to celebrate. Hudson wanted to invite me because without my scouting the town wouldn’t have been built and he likely would not have met Rhondson or had an officiant in Kapson who’s the innkeeper. When I told him I didn’t invite either of them, he reasoned that I got Sidon to so I still had a hand, and that I should get him to join in the festivities too.
*Which I am very glad to do so!
The wedding party is just waiting for one last person to arrive, Rhondson’s Great Auntie. She’s supposed to get here any time but they’re still going to be preparing, wanting to get enough food to feast through the whole day. Bossa Nova and I went hunting and I started preparing some gerudo cuisine for the day!
Bolson also said the construction on my house was going well but coming for the wedding is a much-needed break. He also told me how glad Hateno is to be getting letters of my adventures. Since I did write that I was coming here last Bolson was going to take a whole bunch of letters from everyone to give to me, but the Leather Smith said I probably have any good places to keep them so instead Bolson had to relay everything verbally.
Purah came back, secluding herself in her lab away from everyone. She seems to be okay so I’m glad for that. Nack and Medda have gotten good yields from their crops, the town is having a hard time figuring out how to store it all by the time winter comes. Tamana set aside a chicken so it could lay fertile eggs and the chicks have hatched and all the kids have been obsessed with them. More travelers have been coming by lately. Many of them have been speaking of “some traveler acting as a hero and defeating monsters left and right, their mere presents calming the Divine Beasts” and some other things and the travelers wanting to get famous too.
*Tales of your adventures have been spreading like wildfire as of late. Perhaps because Rito can travel much easier they have been telling tales of your exploits and they’re getting around that way.
The children are disappointed that the bugs are starting to go away so they can’t have bug battles as often, but they’re finding other ways to entertain themselves. And the Leather Smith has gotten some new tea leaves he wants to share with me. Bolson had a hard time remembering it all and just kinda ramble off what he could.
And now with the sun set and Sidon by my side it’s time to go fishing! There’s still a lot of food to prepare and I think having some unknown dishes from Lurelin would be exciting!
*I must admit I myself am excited for this even I’ve never seen a non zora wedding, and I get to have you with me.
I’m looking forward to it too. I’ve never even been to a wedding!

It is entirely possible that tomorrow, we’ll finally get a real look at the Breath of the Wild sequel. I’d like to make a few called shots... or at least state what I would like to see.
So, in my mind, that scene from the teaser was right at the beginning of the game, almost definitely in some catacombs under Hyrule Castle. Ganon launched his attack from down there, and it seems that up until the calamity began, his influence could only reach so far, right? I don’t have a solid guess as to why Link and Zelda have gone down there... maybe there have been strange rumblings from under the castle, maybe they’re doing research on ancient Sheikah tech, who knows.
I think this is going to be the very start of the game, with you immediately taking control of Link and leading the way through the underground ruins. You’ll occasionally have to fight small enemies like rats, Keese and Chuchus, and use the companion button (formerly the “whistle to horse” button) to sooth your pack animal. A couple times, you’ll have to take control of Zelda (OR, your friend will control her, because this game has co-op) and use the Sheikah Slate to solve simple puzzles. Maybe hold the companion button down to switch characters? At some point, Zelda suggests that you make camp for the night, and you get a cutscene with a bit of exposition.
After you resume, you eventually find your way to Ganondorf’s mummified remains, and... I don’t even know, man. Maybe Zelda, overcome with scholarly curiosity, accidentally disengages the magic holding him in place. Maybe the Triforce, which was basically not even mentioned in BotW, allows him to break free. Sheikah techology? Whatever the case, Ganon escapes, and the magic that was used to seal him latches onto Link’s arm for some reason. Ganon, freed, then... I guess raises Hyrule Castle from the ground? That’s what it looked like the original trailer was ending with. Who knows what he does then, hopefully time travel is involved and he sends them into a future fully controlled by him a la Samurai Jack, or into the distant past, or an alternate reality, or a dream world, or SOMETHING. So long as it’s not an ugly dreary Dark World (I likes me some green grass and blue skies) I’ll be happy... and speaking of, it would be cool to be able to travel between that setting and the one from BotW, just to do Tarrey Town-esque projects and rebuild the ruins of Hyrule. Or the ruins of whatever this new setting is.
Anyway, it’s only after this short tutorial area, maybe during the scene of Hyrule Castle being... whatever’d, that you get the title screen. The Legend of Zelda: Reach of the Abyss. Or uh. Hand of Eternity. Or maybe... Grasp at Some Straws. Yeah, the title could be anything, depending on the setting and plot. That magic hand power Link gets is definitely going to be a major gameplay mechanic though, so I feel like it’s probably going to be part of the title.
I’m fairly confident that the hand is going to be the new version of dungeon items, with Link gaining new powers for it throughout the game, while Zelda has the Sheikah Slate. Ideally, you’d have the ability to control both of them the entire time, with Zelda also getting new Sheikah Slate abilities... but that’s probably wishful thinking. I can also definitely see the revived Ganon just straight up kidnapping Zelda. Anyway, the most obvious use for the arm is having it stretch, to work like a hookshot. It’s glowy, so maybe it just naturally functions as a torch? Big fist to act as a hammer, maybe an ability to repel Ganon’s malice? An ability to stop time would be neat.
What else... the ability to enlist the help of a wide array of characters and creatures would be cool, as would expanded cooking and outfits consisting of more pieces. I also like to see underwater stuff in games, especially with free movement... and I’ve always wanted Nintendo to do another thing where Link can take on various different forms. It was cool in Majora’s Mask, it was cool in Kameo: Elements of Power, it was cool in Summoner: A Goddess Reborn, it... actually looks kinda lame in Balan Wonderworld, but that could just be me not liking the NiGHTS Into Dreams style. I’m pretty sure that glowy hand is the game’s major gameplay mechanic though, so unless they pull a Super Mario Odyssey and allow Link to turn into any creature he touches, I unfortunately can’t see this happening.
Just think... by this time tomorrow, we could know what the next Zelda game’s like. If they’re doing a Direct now, they could also tease Pokemon Diamond/Peal remakes, promising a closer look on the anniversary in like a week and a half... or even just do a full reveal, since the presentation is nearly an hour long. We could get Mario Odyssey 2, a new Donkey Kong game... hell, now that I think about it, wasn’t Smash was mentioned in the announcement of the Direct? Sephiroth was two months ago, and Steve two months before that... who’s next?
The safe bet is Crash Bandicoot, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Direct announced a new Fire Emblem, and its protagonist was in Smash. I’d be... annoyed, frustrated, underwhelmed... but not surprised. Dr. Eggman’s another likely choice, especially with a moveset reliant on robotic vehicles, but if I were to choose a character I actually wanted... I would go with Goemon, who isn’t going to happen because he’s already in as a costume, or Alis Landale, who isn’t going to happen because nobody knows who she is.
Honestly, I’m expecting another Capcom, Sega, or Namco character. Crono or Sora would be great, but two Squeenix characters in a row seems unlikely. I want Monster Hunter or Phoenix Wright, but y’know what? Namco’s kinda owed another character, in my opinion, so my official guess for the next Smash character is either Klonoa or Lloyd Irving. I don’t know that either of them would have a really unique, compelling play style, but the alternative is, what... someone from Tekken or Soul Calibur? Meh. I’m sure they could do something clever with Klonoa if they wanted. Like, how many people seriously thought Steve would have mining, crafting, and building as part of a fighting game moveset?

Awww, I'm sorry something you were so excited for left you feeling that way. I've had it a few times as well, and it sucks.
I miss my endless bombs more that I can say. I used them for almost everything. Muddlebuds are great but not quite the same. The plot feels like a reboot rather than a sequel. The memories, collecting the four Champions/Sages, the fact that you have to get yourself a *new* house now because Zelda moved in, threw out your weapons racks, and took the sign off the front of the house... The Lurelin quest mirrors Tarrey Town to a great degree as well.
That said, I am loving the game. I'm not sure if this'll quite make sense, but to me the whole game feels like a D&D game with a "Fuck it, roll and let's see how it pans out" style GM. BotW felt more like a novel we got to act out. It's a bit like the difference between reading the Saga of Drizzt and playing a drow in a game, you know? It's two different types of engagement, and in TotK it's not actually the story I'm so engaged with.
It works for me because those are both immersion styles I love. If you've got a strong preference for one or even straight up dislike the other, that's not going to work for you.
But yes, I get you. I think BotW is better. It was rich in a way TotK seems bland. I even like the old blood moon better...
in all honesty, im feeling a bit burned out on totk, the more i think about it the more i dislike its story and lore, i dont know what to make of it it being so loved by everyone else makes me feel like theres something wrong about me :/ gonna try and take a step back from it all

for the writing game: glance!
Haha, you sure picked one of my favorite words! From Moonlight (every single night), hope you enjoy!
“I like your house,” the princess says when they rub down the horses and water them. “It’s cozy. Reminds me of before.” She casts a look at the blocky houses Bolton built just across the bridge, a frown creasing her eyebrows. Link privately agrees. He likes the people in Tarrey Town well enough, but their style of living is something he’s never quite gotten used to.
“You are always welcome here,” he says by rote. It is the expected thing to say — she is the princess, after all — but he still finds some truth in it. The princess has been trying very hard to reach out to him; it’s not her fault that his own guilt is stifling him. So far, she does not appear to remember anything of the past repeats. If she did, he cannot imagine that she would be so kind to him.
The princess gives him a sideways glance, something shy and sad. “Thank you, Link,” she says. She gives the white horse she’s been riding a final pat and grabs the bucket of water. “I will take this back to the shed,” she announces. Link watches her go. The princess Zelda he remembers would never take care of her own horse, but he thinks that wasn’t because of any reluctance on her part. He thinks she would not have minded, if given the chance.

CHARACTER SHEET FOR ZELDA!!
This is a headcanon sheet that will go deep into the depths of Sky Zel, namely for fantasy verse because I do have another post to dissect Zel’s character as a whole coming up! Fantasy verse I feel needs more info than what I have for her character sheet this way more people can understand her and hopefully play around in that verse because hunny witch zel is an excellent concept I refuse to go to waste. I’d love to rp with more people in this verse because it’s refreshing as well. Anyhow! Bear was kind enough to provide the sheet and now here I am taking advantage of it! Be warned fellas, it’s gonna be a long. Like very long, this took like an hour or two to complete. With all dat juicy details. Feel free to copy and paste this if you want, it’s good for main characters or OCs. But it is long as hell! Let’s jump into it!
Character’s Name: Zelda Lockewood  Character’s nicknames: Zel, Zellie, Zeldy, witch of the woods, Hylia’s apprentice Gender: Female  Righty or Lefty: Righty  Age: 19-20  Height: 5′3 around 161 cm  Weight: 104 lbs  Eye Color: Light blue, similar to the skies. They twinkle with mischief intent yet benevolence is within her gaze. Hair color: Golden blonde, often tied with ribbons and in a very low ponytail  Distinguishing marks: She has a scar on her chest below the collarbone and at the end of her ribcage where the scar has a slight turn to it towards the left, right above her heart. After a summoning spell gone wrong, she was stabbed there by the creature, thankfully miss OP Hylia was there to save her from dying.  Describe physical traits in one passage: Whew, ok I sound like a broken record but here we go. She often has red cheeks that tend to grow redder when angry or embarrassed or shy or when she has the dokis. Very long ears that also can grow red towards the tips, as such people have mistaken her for an elf which is why she wears the witch’s hat in the first place. She likes to tie her hair in a low ponytail in order to work without it getting in the way but out of her hair is super long to the waist. She has blunt bangs or hime cut as I like to call it! And is petite but don’t let that fool you, she does have monster strength much like main verse.  FAMILY/ RELIGION  Parents: Hylia is her biological mother within this verse, she’s unaware of the fact and believes her mother to be dead. She lives with her adoptive father, Gaepora.  Siblings: An only child  Significant Other: None thus far! But I’m open to shipping here ;v;  Children: Again, none but it’s something she’d want in the future!  Other relatives: Gaepora keeps his family at an arms length, though jolly and wise he tends to be a bit of an introvert at times as such Zelda doesn’t really get to meet with her family too much or get to know them.  Pets: Her familiar, the Loftwing Indigo! Black cats seem to like her as they surround her though! Friends: Tons! But well in case future RPers are interested I can’t really fill it out.  Enemies: Sorceresses are typical enemies to a witch, she tends to avoid other witches too due to their cold-hearted nature.  Relationships (other): It’s tough to put Wylan in a category so this might be best. Though he is an annoyance and she finds him a bit of a troll slowly she’s starting to get to know him bit by bit.  Ethnicity: A witch! With connection to the gods thanks to her mother being the Goddess of Witches who goes by the name Circe to mortal realm and witches, her true name is Hylia though so don’t be confused by this. She comes from a nation called Lanayru, so prehaps Lanayruen if you wanna call her that! Religion: Most witches tend to follow something akin to Wiccan belief, Zelda follows that! Superstitions: When making a potion, she often likes to pray to the Goddess of Witches and sing a small tune while making sad potions as a means to break the silence. She doesn’t look at mirrors in the dark or but two mirrors opposite of each other as it’s believe it could make a portal of sorts for demons and other evil beings, as such she often covers her mirrors and doesn’t look at them too much aside from when she has to get ready. It’s silly, she knows, but it’s trauma from opening the portal when summoning a being far beyond her skill.  Diction, Accent, ETC.: So, she has a light accent that’s typical for those coming from Lanayru. Certain words, you can hear it spilling out. It’s best to describe it as a sing-songy accent where certain vowel sounds are stretched out. She’s learned to shorten the vowels though, trying to fit in with the nation she lives in now! Which is Hyrule a land far more bigger than her humble homelands with advancements in magic and certain technology. They have a more... I wanna say North american accent that can range from Canadian to the typical eastern accent for USA to southern accent from again, USA.  SCHOOL/ WORK / HOME  Education (Highest): Hmm, college equivalent of fantasy world? She was a fast learner and skipped a few grades which is why she graduated so early (it helps being the daughter of the Goddess of Witches too, demi god to be exact haha) she and had a natural affinity for magic, also she was studious as well and often aced tests.  Degrees: Oh damn... well she doesn’t have the title Hylia’s Golden Apprentice for nothing. So let’s consider that a degree, or maybe a degree in magic pft! Vocation/Occupation: A potions seller! Employment History: Let’s explain how she has experience in this! She worked with a brewing master, who owned a shop that was full of wares and while some cursed and forbidden, as well as the owner being sketchy, she learned about how the potions business works while working for him from 14 to 18. Four short years! Nice! Upon moving to Hyrule, she kept her potions making a bit lowkey. Selling her wares in the small town near the lost woods known as Tarrey Town. Under the guise as a merchant, it was soon discovered that she was a witch and while certain residents tend to avoid her due to low reputation of witches as a whole, many are attracted by her refreshingly friendly nature and excellent quality in potions. Rumors begin to spread out and she does tend to travel to the big city, Castle Town, from time to time to sell her wares. Though she’s still learning the ropes, and though her business isn’t really that big, she’s doing not too bad. Salary: Potions aren’t cheap, she’s her own boss as well. So, let’s put it that way. HWEOH  Status and money: Despite how well her business is doing, she’s not exactly rich but she’s not too worried about her money situation either. Resourceful, she tends to save her money by collecting her own ingredients in the Lost Woods, though if she has to she will go out to get the ones she couldn’t find within the forest and while some are expensive, she tends to barging with cheapening the price somewhat.  Own or Rent: OWN! She made her little hut deep within the woods through magic of course, it’s hard to find unless you know how to navigate within the ever changing nature of the Lost Woods. It’s a bit like OOT in that regard, ALTTP with the mysterious fog you can get lost in, and well... I’m also taking small inspiration from Paper Mario 64 with the spooky forest in one level since the Lost Woods here is a bit... well, spooky!  Living Space: It’s a small, humble sized cottage crafted with grey bricks for the chimney and front entrance sticking out with some tudor elements to the building where the house is half-timbered walls! The outside has a white little gate with a plant arch full of roses, and there is a garden full of flowers and herbs, with ivy crawling up the building towards the back of the house along with a weeping willow within her large yard, a lake is nearby and there is a lovely waterfall but beware of the creatures lurking within! The window in the kitchen is the biggest window in the house, almost like a bay window of sorts but you can’t exactly open that window yet there is a another on the lower floor where you can, while her bedroom has a slightly smaller window where they are opened outwards and always opened in the daytime, there is a large window seat, large enough to sleep on it with comforting pink cushion as well as little pillows she’s knitted herself. There are drawers underneath where she stores extra stuff. Now, as for the inside, aside from the kitchen and her bedroom along with the bathroom, it’s a big mess! The small space is cluttered with tons of books and tomes, some on the millions of shelves (along with tons and tons of potion battles) she has and some on the floor with pages scattered throughout the wood flowering. She has plants like wisteria hanging on the walls and several others like witch’s herb among other examples hanging from the celling. There’s a small sitting area with a wooden desk and stool and that’s where she often works with her research. It’s pretty much well lived in and is the result of working too much to notice the mess. It’s two stories, with a small attic being the second floor. Her bedroom is located on the first floor and despite the window seat, she has a nice slightly small queen sized sleigh bed in the center and up against the wall, it looks super comfy, like you can sink into it and well it’s possible! Along with a vanity mirror with brushes for light makeup she wears for special events, and a small bottle filled with flowers, her knitting area with a small basket full of yarn balls and a wooden wardrobe to keep her clothing in. There is a cute rug on the floor to bring the room together. Along with book shelves. It’s a cute yet ery simple style.  Work Space: As described above, it’s a wooden desk within the main hub area of the house. It’s in the corner of the room, near a window as a means to get sunlight and fresh air! Her cauldron is not too far from the desk and once again, she has tons of flowers. There’s always her research papers and books on it, a quill with a feather, annnnd a small candle stand in case she’s working late in the night! Main Mode of Transportation: Either her “broom” which is an enchanted feather from her Loftwing or her Loftwing himself! She thinks it’s silly to ride on a broom and wanted to be more creative! PSYCHOLOGY  Fears: Well when you face near death and actually saw the reaper’s scythe coming at you hot, you tend to not fear much. She doesn’t really like to summon things though due to that accident, so there’s nervousness whenever she absolutely has to. Mirrors there’s a slight fear due to how they can act as portals into the other realm. And losing loved ones, failing to protect them. Perhaps knowing the truth about her birth is also a fear, as she will deny being a demi god let along to the Goddess of Witches. There’s this feeling she has where she knows she’s not an ordinary witch but out of fear she does not investigate too much with a slight hint of curiosity.  Secrets: Much like main verse she can hear the gods and spirits of the realm, something she denies and keeps to herself. While she can do wandless magic, a feat only known to Hylia, it’s a bit hard and her spells tend to go wild so it’s why she likes to stick to tomes as it better handles her powers. Whenever mana blockage happens, she tends to get embarrassed and will only reveal it if she has to.  IQ: VERY HIGH as expected of someone with a lot of wisdom despite her age. That is all for this one... Eating Habits: NOT VERY GOOD!!! She just throws together anything that’s edible enough and eats it, while it doesn’t taste good she’s always in a rush to get back to work because she’s a bit of a workaholic in this verse! Sometimes, she’ll take elixirs to suppress her hunger if she’s working very hard on something like research or recipe hunting, at times she doesn’t always get the potion right so she tends to try again and again until she does. Neglecting her need to eat. Pretty much, it’s like putting fried rice, egg, and leftovers in a blender and eating that disgusting mess. And though she can cook mainly simple enough dishes, she tends to not do it too much. Someone get this girl some food.  Sleeping Habits: AGAIN NOT VERY GOOD THIS POOR BABY!! When cramming in the night, she gets so focused she tends to stay up until four o’ clock by drinking lots and lots of coffee... and that’s when the sleepiness tends to hit her once that caffeine is all gone, you’ll most likely see her asleep at her desk. Being an early bird though means she won’t get much sleep so ;v; That said when not cramming, she tends to get sleepy once the sun’s down so she does get normal hours of sleep mostly. She loves the morning and always wakes up to the sun greeting her as she tends to leave the curtains open, not at all afraid to do that since like... no one goes deep into Lost Woods aside from Wylan pft.  Book Preferences: She loves reading research and recipe books! It’s always fun for her to learn new things and as such she always has her head buried in a book that discusses tons and tons of research. When not learning and sitting back to relax, she likes tales of adventures and will sometimes read romance novels as well.  Music Preferences: Harp and lyre along with other string instruments! She tends to love folklore as there is a history behind it and she does find that super interesting. Though she can somewhat play the harp/lyre she’s not as talented as say the bard Kina! Groups or Alone: While good enough in a group as she does like teamwork, she’d rather do things on her own. Blame being responsible to a fault for that one alongside slight hero complex for more dangerous things she has to face HJKA! Leader or Follower: Are you kidding? Leader all the freaking way! She has a natural charm about her and is ambitious in a sense, she would make a good leader because she’s wise enough to make good decisions when in a pinch. That said she can be a little bossy when worry wart tendencies pops up and will def assume that you need her help. She’s just trying to be a good friend who believes in you and your potential, don’t mind her. Just... her supportive attitude is pretty strong haha!  Planned Out or Spontaneous: With her carefree nature, you’d think she’d be spontaneous and while she can be at times because adventure is fun, she tends to plan a lot of things out... of course, her plans never work out. But again, she’s resourceful enough to work around the issue she may come across.  Journal Entires (Do they keep one?) YES OF COURSE MY GIRL LOVES TO WRITE!! She actually has a few, four in total. One for researching plants and other things, another to keep track of her inventory, one for folklore and ghosts/monsters findings perhaps, and one for her personal feelings. If you find the last one, she will end your life.  Hobbies, Recreation: Girl loves to knit! It’s very relaxing and she’s really good at it along with sewing her own clothing! She loves flying, and collecting plants in case that wasn’t obvious already. She also loves monster hunting despite how dangerous it can be, but due to how unique the monsters are in Hyrule she just can’t help it! Catch her taking pictures whenever she comes across one while a friend grabs her and runs for dear life. Jam making is a fun things she enjoys and gardening. Overall, really good hobbies she has! How Do They Relax: A nice bath filled with floral oils that’s meant to relax you and certain flowers as well. It’s how she’s got that flowery scent after all. She tends to read in the bath, and well reading in general along with writing is how she unwinds! She loves knitting and gardening and jam making is relaxing from time to time. Drinking tea while sitting underneath the weeping willow. She does love practicing her magic and hexes too!    What Excites Them?: MONSTERS DESPITE HOW DANGEROUS THEY ARE AND SNAPPING PHOTOS TO RECORD THEM, finding new spells, new tomes and other books! Seeing friends will make her super happy, flowers, wild plant life never seen before. Whenever other people from distant cities learn about her potions shop, new cauldrons, successfully making a new potion, exploring new cities and towns, traveling, flying, learning new things because she’s a nerd with a thirst for knowledge... pretty much she’s very excited over tons of things, it doesn’t take much to excite her, actually haha! Pet Peeves: Wylan breaking into her house, she has tons of charms in the place so it’s a bit worrying and annoying to find him in there doing whatever, messing up with a spell or burning potions, hunger pains when she’s deep at work along with her natural sleepiness once it’s dark out, prideful hero types mayhaps where they’re all talk and no action more like (she does value bravery though), bullying since strong sense of justice, and finally gossip and judgement.  Prejudices: She... doesn’t really have one? Aside from not liking bullies and again prideful hero types who are all talk and no action... liars too? And creeps who flirt with her. Flirting is fun but not when it’s unwanted. Yeah... that’s about it I think! Attitudes: Very determined and ready to face the day and is a hard worker! She’s a cheery girl through and through and very kind but don’t let her kindness fool you as she’s not afraid to put her foot down and call you out. She’s charming and a playful girl who has a love for learning. And is very supportive but can be a busybody if she worries for you. And though somewhat scared about the truth of her origins, once the time comes she’s ready to face those fears. She tends to get either angry or embarrassed (it’s ambiguous really) whenever Wylan is around doing... Wylan things actually haha! Stressors: I guess failure or deadlines that she can’t make if the recipe for the potion is too hard. As well as vague customers too because what sorta potion do you want from her she can’t read minds? Tarot cards and palm reading, while she knows how to do these things as it’s natural for all witches, knowing the future is scary and she’d rather live in the now while looking forward to the what the future has in store without knowing of her fate. Also, dark magic. She tends to stay away from it, corruption is a thing that can happen causing her to become a mindless yet very OP being known as sorceress.  Obsessions: WORK. Very much a hard worker to a fault actually due to her high sense of responsibilities playing into that. It’d be cash money if someone could help with relaxing her.  Addictions: Book collecting, along with flower collecting too and finally she has a super bad sweet tooth. That’s about it.  Ambitions: Right now, she wants to become a bigger name in order to help out people as she loves helping others, and well, the extra money doesn’t hurt either. She wishes to become a bit more powerful as she already is, up to the Grand Witch Hylia levels and wishes to increase her mana, not that it’s low but just in case! As Seen by Others: A cutie pie! Who’s kind though sometimes people do avoid her since Witch.  As Seen by Self: She’s cute and she knows it haha! Aside from that she doesn’t see herself as kind but someone who wants to do the right thing, there’s no reason behind this aside from it’s natural for her to be this way. That said she wants to work harder than she already is someone stop her. ASTROLOGY/PHISIOLOGY (hoo boi i know shit about that but let’s go) Birth Date: March 20 Time of Birth: 3:07 AM, right during witching hours with the magic number seven in it, that’s why Hylia went “oh crap she’s gonna be powerful like me and make poor life decisions if she sticks with me time to yeet this baby outta here” Western Astrological Sign: Pisces  Traits Associated with Western Sign: I’m lifting this from a sight but strengths are Compassion, artistic, intuitive, gentle, wise, musical. While weakness is fearful (not really she’s pretty brave but does have some fears) overly trusting, sad, desire to escape reality, can be a victim or a martyr. Some traits don’t really fit her, I guess you can say she’s the odd man out with typical pisces haha!  Chinese Zodiac Sign: That’s a little difficult since it goes by year rather than date but I’ll try! Year of the Monkey! It fits her best I feel! Traits Associated with Chinese Zodiac: according to this site monkeys are fast learners and crafty, they tend to have many interests, they are clever and creative and love to accept challenges. They tend to have magnetic personalities are witty and intelligent but can be naughty aka playful. I feel this fits her better than Pisces... or maybe a mixture of both haha! Handwriting: DOCTOR’S WRITING!! SHE... HAS SLOPPY CURSIVE THAT ONLY SHE CAN READ HWEOH but she can write neat cursive it’s just she’s always in a rush to get her thoughts out there.  Sexual History: Girl was too focused in her studies she did not date anyone. She’s not one for ahem “hooking up either” So... no history there I guess pft.   General Health: Healthy as can be! Medical History: Aside from that one time where she almost died, her medical history is really not that interesting. She does get mana blockage from time to time and they hurt hard and makes it harder to use magic. Her spells going haywire.  Allergies: Hmm... I don’t think she has any. Chronic Illnesses: Nope again! Handicaps: And again no on that either.  OBJECTS Purse / Bag: She has a leather bag around her waist, it’s charmed to be a hammer space of sorts so like... tons of things. Books, tomes, scrolls, diary for ingredients gathering, another journal for folklore and monster tracking, pictograph/camera athame knife just in case because you never know, wallet and plenty of others stuff Wallet: Well, it’s a pouch that’s full of money, a lot just in case. That is also a hammer space of sorts! Fridge: NOT A DAMN THING she’s better at storing bird food for her loftwing and cat food for any stray cats hanging around her area but her fridge is like... leftovers from the little meals she makes from time to time, jam, potions that need to be stored in cold place, veggies, and one battle of water that’s it.  Medicine Cabinet: While she knows some healing spells it doesn’t hurt to have bandages just in case! Along with medical brews that’ll help with things such as colds and other illnesses. Tooth brush and paste of course... and uh the little makeup she has because this girl a goddess and doesn’t wear it too much.  Glove Compartment: CARS DON’T EXIST BUT ACCORDING TO BOTW MOTORCYCLES DO, that said she doesn’t have a motorcycle so like... nothing! Junk Drawer: Utensils, knives for food... for one draw. As for the other real junk drawer full of papers, dried and pressed flowers, journals, and extra quills alongside some cute jewelry! Kitchen Cabinets: Plates, bowls, and glasses of course with spices in another and any food to help with cooking!  Bedroom Hiding Place: Underneath her bed is where the personal journal is... for the most part. Closets: Clothing, it’s a small closet along side other junk like her old wand, and anything relating to her school memories such as supplies.  Backback: Isn’t that the same thing as purse/bag? Either way, read above! Locker: None Desk: WEEPS DO I HAVE TO REPEAT MYSELF ON THIS? Read above with living situation.  Clothes pocket: Mostly letters for her father... a pocket watch, and sometimes she’ll have the athame knife in there too. There’s not much she can store with her dress apron!
OTHER (bitch we almost done!!)  Halloween Costumes: SHEET GHOST!! She won’t go as a witch since well she is one, sheet ghost is probably meant for laughs really. Also she’d make her own black cat costume due to her affinity with them. A black dress, with cat ears and whiskers drawn on... yeah that seems good! Tricks: Little things like charming you to float! Or having giant rabbits chase after you before they cuddle you! Spiders crawling out from your ears! Bats following you. See? Nothing harmful but something funny to witches yet not so much to mortals or other supernatural beings for that matter.  Talents: Magic, she’s insanely talented but it helps having a Goddess mother who created magic and witches/mages in the first place! She’s good at knitting as we established and sewing, very good at brewing all sorts of potions as they’re always high quality, very good at researching stuff. ETC ETC.  Politics: Hmm well,,, Hyrule is absolute monarchy where the king and royal family lie about being descendants of gods so... yeah! Not much to say there since she’s not one who’s tied to mortal virtues.  Flaws: Worrywart which turns to her assuming things and taking the wheel so to speak she’s trying her best to support friends but well being nosy and like this isn’t always the best, sometimes while good with words and advice to comfort someone she doesn’t always say the right thing to comfort said person, she works too hard and is responsible to a fault, she often likes to give others the benefit of the doubt despite being screwed over. And perhaps... she doesn’t worry about herself so much as she worries about others. Not only does she think she can handle most things but also it’s a bit of a hero complex or something similar to that where she always sacrifices herself for others. Because, it’s the right thing to do. She tends to get embarrassed easily and has a bit of a nasty temper at times but it doesn’t take long for her to get overall as she’s not one to hold grudges.  Strengths: Very joyful and charming, many find themselves drawn to her as the result of this. Kind as well to everyone, aside from mentioned above in prejudice section and dislikes, she likes to treat everyone equally as best as she can. Reasonability is her middle name and tends to always get things done. She’s also very wise for her age and someone who encourages you to do your very best because she believes in you and sees this great light in you that gives you great potential for the bright future. She can be a little flirty towards someone she likes once she gets over her initial shyness upon discovering her feelings but well romance is new to her so sometimes she’ll miss certain romantic intentions. And playful girl who’s a bit witty too. She has talents for magic and is a fast learner for the most part. Also love learning too and is a nerd. She has a creative side to her! Drugs/Alcohol: Nope! Passwords: Probably her birthday for like things that require numbers such as safes and the like! Email Address, Home Page, Blogs, etc.: Well none pft Time and place: Very vague middle ages that takes inspiration from the Magic Technology BOTW has along with other games too such as TP and SS.  Special Places: The sky... does that count? And the Haunted Grove deep within the Lost Woods.  Special Memories: Meeting her familiar for the first time, any time spent with her dad as he was loving and kind, getting accepted to become a student for Hylia despite her wanting to keep a distance but takes her under her wing just in case.

Dynamic music is one of those things that I think is generally underappreciated in video games, but I’m struggling to think of a single time it wasn’t used to INCREDIBLE effect.
Battle music in Devil May Cry 5 getting more intense and adding lyrics as your style ranking goes up, boss themes in Metal Gear Rising and FF7R progressing and adding sometimes adding lyrics as you move through the phases of the fight, The Comet Observatory and Tarrey Town in Super Mario Galaxy and Breath of the Wild respectively adding more instruments and harmony to their themes as you begin to repair them, Animal Crossing having unique variants of hourly songs depending on the weather, the Gen 5 Pokemon games switching to a theme that incorporates the critical health warning when your pokemon is in danger of fainting...
